Abstract
Description
Technical Description Title of the invention:
[0001] Swivel base for chairs, armchairs and stools with an integrated 90° to 180° swivel function State of the art:
[0002] Seating furniture with sprung frames is known from the prior art, in which an elastic oscillating motion is achieved by means of a bent steel tube construction. Swivel frames are also known, which allow the seat to rotate around the vertical axis. A combination of both functions in a single base is not yet known. Purpose of the invention:
[0003] The invention aims to provide a base for seating furniture that allows both elastic oscillation and rotational movement, thereby significantly increasing seating comfort and freedom of movement for the user. Solution:
[0004] This task is solved by a rotating-swinging base frame which has the following features: - A steel tube frame manufactured according to European standards, which is oscillatable and can have various tube shapes (round, oval, square, rectangular). - A ball-bearing mounted turntable or rotary cylinder is fitted to the swing frame in a form-fit or force-fit manner. - The rotation angle is up to 180° and can be equipped with a return function. - The combination of both movements leads to a new level of seating comfort and an ergonomic improvement. Advantages of the invention: - Combination of swinging and rotating in one frame - Increased seating comfort and ergonomic seating - Increased freedom of movement - Suitable for various types of chairs
Claims
[1] Cantilever base for chairs, armchairs and stools, characterized by , that a ball-bearing swivel plate or rotary cylinder is mounted on a oscillating steel tube frame tested according to European standards in a form-fit or force-fit manner, whereby the base frame enables both an elastic oscillating movement and a rotational movement of the seat around a vertical axis, thereby creating a novel, combined seating comfort. [2] Base frame according to claim 1, characterized by that the turntable is ball-bearing mounted and has a rotation angle between 90° and 180°. [3] Base frame according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized by that the swivel fitting includes a return function by which the seat automatically returns to its starting position when pressure is released. [4] Base frame according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized by, that the steel tube frame consists of round, oval, square or rectangular steel tubing and is manufactured in different material versions (steel, stainless steel, double tube) and surface coatings (coated, uncoated or brushed). [5] Base frame according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized by that the turntable is connected to the steel tube frame via screw, press or plug connections. [6] Base frame according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized by , that the combination of oscillating frame and swivel plate enables a simultaneous or combined movement of elastic oscillation and rotation, thereby improving seating comfort and ergonomics, especially when sitting down, sitting and standing up. [7] Base frame according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized by that it is designed for dining room chairs, conference chairs, visitor chairs, kitchen chairs, recliners and lowchairs.
