Device for changing the type of coffee bean in a coffee machine without emptying the coffee bean storage container, comprising: • a coffee bean exchange funnel (K-funnel) with an outlet through which coffee beans would exit the storage container or enter the grinder; • a displacement device (displacement shield) for displacing the existing coffee beans in the coffee bean storage container through the displacement shield; • a seal of the mill inlet by the outlet of the K-funnel so that beans do not fall into the mill as long as the funnel is in place; • an opening for filling the coffee grinder with the desired type of bean.

[0001]Main claim: Device for filling a different type of coffee bean without removing the coffee bean supply from a coffee bean storage container. For this purpose, the coffee bean change funnel (2) (K-funnel) is pushed in the direction of arrow (3) on the bottom of the coffee machine storage container over the bean inlet of the coffee grinder. The coffee grinder inlet is covered by the outlet (4) of (2) so that no coffee beans fall from the coffee storage container into the coffee grinder. When (2) is inserted, the K-funnel moves beneath the coffee beans in the coffee bean storage container and, with the coffee bean displacement shield (5), separates the coffee bean inlet of the coffee grinder from the coffee beans in the storage container. To separate or clean the coffee grinder from the existing coffee beans in the coffee bean storage container, a coffee ground is discarded.The emptying of the coffee grinder indicates when it is free of coffee beans from the bean hopper. Desired coffee beans, e.g., decaffeinated coffee beans, can now be added to the opening (1) of the K-funnel (2) and brewed by the coffee machine. Claims

[1] Device for changing the type of coffee bean in a coffee machine without emptying the coffee bean storage container, comprising: • a coffee bean exchange funnel (K-funnel) with an outlet through which coffee beans would exit the storage container or enter the grinder; • a displacement device (displacement shield) for displacing the existing coffee beans in the coffee bean storage container through the displacement shield; • a seal of the mill inlet by the outlet of the K-funnel so that beans do not fall into the mill as long as the funnel is in place; • an opening for filling the coffee grinder with the desired type of bean. [2] Device according to claim 1, if the K-funnel is inserted in the coffee bean storage container in such a way that when changing the type of bean, the existing stock of beans is displaced by the displacement shield and at the same time the grinder remains protected by the funnel outlet. [3] Device according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the displacement shield can be positioned so that it leaves the cross-section of the storage vessel clear and allows complete displacement of the existing beans without them escaping from the storage vessel. [4] Device according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the hopper can be removed from the storage container or deactivated after filling with the type of bean in order to restore the normal operation of the coffee machine.
