AI Technical Summary
Visual and acoustic privacy at height-adjustable desks is limited by lightweight acoustic panels, necessitating higher sound absorption and visual privacy without causing permanent isolation.
A manually height-adjustable, fully retractable, and easily replaceable privacy screen system using extendable grid rails, permanent magnets, self-clamping gas springs, or U-shaped clamps to mount PET-FLEES acoustic panels, providing flexible visual and acoustic barriers.
Enables flexible, high sound absorption and visual privacy without isolating the workspace, maintaining a dynamic working atmosphere.

Abstract
Description
[0001] Visual and acoustic privacy screens, especially for height-adjustable desks, are increasingly being made from very lightweight acoustic panels, such as PET fleece, to avoid overloading the desk's load-bearing capacity. These acoustic panels, which are only about 400 mm high to allow visual contact, are then mounted to the back edge of the desk using standard table clamps, thus providing only a relative visual and acoustic barrier to the desk and its occupant, which is often positioned opposite due to space constraints.
[0002] However, visual and acoustic privacy at this height is very limited, so when concentrated work is required, higher sound absorption and visual privacy are often desired. Even if only for short periods, this is to avoid a permanent isolation effect on the other side, which could negatively impact the working atmosphere.
[0003] The invention described in claims 1-6 addresses the problem of providing a simple and quick height-adjustable, completely removable, and just as quickly replaceable visual and acoustic privacy screen for writing and work areas. For height-adjustable desks, privacy screening under the tabletop is also important.
[0004] This problem is solved by the features listed in claims 1-6.
[0005] The invention makes it possible to create several manually simple and quickly height-adjustable, also fully retractable or only visually perpendicular, privacy and sound protection screens, also at a low cost.
[0006] Exemplary embodiments of the invention are described with reference to the Fig. 1 to 4 explained.
[0007] They show: Fig. 1 a side view with a commercially available table mount, however according to the invention an extendable grid rail is attached to the rear and which in turn is attached to the extension part with the e.g. PET-FLIES acoustic panel at the desired height, Fig. 2 a side view with a commercially available table mount, however according to the invention a permanent magnet with corresponding sliding force is attached to the rear, on which a sheet metal strip, approximately in sliding length, is then slidably attached and this sheet metal strip is then firmly attached to the e.g. PET-FLIES acoustic panel in the sliding direction, Fig. 3 a side view with commercially available table mount, however according to the invention a continuously self-clamping or adjustable gas spring for height adjustment is fixed at one end on the rear and is screwed to the e.g. PET-FLIES acoustic panel with the other extendable end. Fig. 4 a top view with a commercially available table mount, however according to the invention a rubberized U-shaped clamping device is attached to the rear, in which the e.g. PET-FLIES acoustic panel is held on both sides in a sliding but still clamping manner.
[0008] In the Fig. 1-4 the very light e.g. PET-FLIES acoustic panel 2 is advantageously adapted to the table top 3 by means of a commercially available screw-on or clampable table mount 1, but then in different manually height-adjustable ways.
[0009] In the Fig. 1 is the manual sliding capability by means of a grid rail 7 which is fixedly connected to the table mount 1 on one side and the other extendable locking part is connected to the e.g. PET-FLIES acoustic panel 2.
[0010] In the Fig. 2 is the manual displacement via a correspondingly strong permanent magnet 4, over which a steel sheet strip 5 with end stops on both sides is then slidably in a height-adjustable length, and then firmly connected to the e.g. PET fleece acoustic panel.
[0011] In the Fig. 3. The manual sliding capability is then even weight-supported by a continuously self-clamping or lockable gas spring 9, which is screwed to the table bracket 1 at one end and is attached at the other end to the e.g. PET-FLIES acoustic panel 2 e.g. with a retaining bracket 10.
[0012] In the Fig. 4 is the manual adjustability by means of a U-shaped spring clamp 8 attached to the table bracket 1 in which the e.g. PET-FLIES acoustic panel 2 is held in a form-fitting manner but is still infinitely adjustable. Claims
[1] Table mount for manually height-adjustable, very lightweight acoustic panels, e.g., PET fleece, as visual and sound protection for writing and work areas. characterized by , that a permanent magnet 4 is attached to the back of the table mount 1, the holding force of which is only strong enough to hold a steel sheet strip 5 with end stops on both sides, which is slidably guided over it and is attached to the e.g. PET-FLIES acoustic panel 2, and thus, including the acoustic panel 2, can be moved continuously in height but held firmly enough. [2] Table mount for manually height-adjustable, very lightweight acoustic panels, e.g. PET-FLIES, as visual and sound protection for writing and work areas characterized by , that an extendable grid rail 7 is attached to the back of the table bracket 1, the extendable part of which is firmly connected to the very light e.g. PET-FLIES acoustic panel 2 and is thus height-adjustable in the grid. [3] Table mount for manually height-adjustable, very lightweight acoustic panels, e.g. PET-FLIES, as visual and sound protection for writing and work areas, characterized by , that on the now double-sided table mount 1 a U-shaped fixed or advantageously rotatable clamping device 8 (to simplify left / right mounting) is provided on the back, whereby the very light e.g. PET-FLIES acoustic panel 2 is held in a stepless sliding but still sufficiently clamping manner. [4] Table mount for manually height-adjustable acoustic panels as visual and sound protection for writing and work areas characterized by that a continuously self-locking or lockable gas spring 9 for height adjustment is permanently mounted on the back of the table bracket 1, and the other end is then permanently connected to the acoustic panel 2. Thanks to the adjustable pressure of the gas spring 9, the acoustic panel 2, which is independent of weight, can also be adjusted manually in height, as it is relatively weight-neutral. [5] according to claims 1, 2 and 4 characterized by , that the very light e.g. PET-FLIES acoustic panel 2 is attached to the writing and working surface both with one and more stably with two table brackets 1. [6] according to claims 1-5 characterized by , that the acoustic panel 2 has a hand knob 6 at its upper center of gravity to prevent tilting when adjusting the height manually.
