This promotes regular changes in posture and short movement breaks during the workday. 2. Description of the subject matter of the utility model
[0002] The subject of the utility model is an air-based, dynamic seat cushion that combines the following features: - a flexible, transparent or translucent TPU case, - an externally applied layer made of felt or textile material for comfort, - an internal PU foam core with resilience, - an adjustable throttle check valve airtight integrated into the pillow cover (made of TPU), - a function where the air slowly escapes to the outside under load (20-30 minutes, depending on load and setting), - a function where, during decompression, air flows rapidly inwards (1-3 minutes).
[0003] The cushion thus creates a time-controlled transition from a soft to a harder seating sensation and serves as a tactile reminder of a necessary change in posture or a break from movement. 3. Technical Task
[0004] There is a need to subtly remind sedentary people in their daily work routine to regularly change their posture or stand up, without using electronic aids, apps, motors or active mechanics.
[0005] The goal is to create a power-free, low-maintenance, and intuitively usable system that: - offers a soft seating experience at the beginning, - has noticeably changed over time, - regenerates independently, - works without conscious user interaction. 4. Technical Solution / Detailed Description
[0006] The invention solves this problem by means of a dynamic seat cushion 1, which is constructed as follows: 4.1 Flexible cover The shell 2 consists of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), which: - weldable, - transparent or translucent, - is flexible and airtight. The casing is completely closed, except for the integrated valve. 4.2 Layer for comfort purposes On the top and bottom surfaces there is a textile felt layer 3 which: - increases seating comfort, - reduces mechanical abrasion, - the TPU layer provides protection. The layer is stitched, not glued to the TPU case. 4.3 Inner foam core Inside, a PU foam core 4 is provided, which: - has a defined restoring force, - the air volume stabilizes, - enables the rapid inflow of air during decompression. Without the core, the airflow through the valve would not be sufficient to quickly refill the pillow. 4.4 Throttle check valve A throttle check valve 5 is welded to the underside of the cushion, forming an airtight connection. The valve performs two functions: 1. Bleeding under load (throttle function) - Air escapes through a channel that restricts the airflow. - The flow rate is variable via an adjustable opening. - As a result, the person sinks slowly within approximately 20-30 minutes. 2. Suction during release (backflow function) - A spring- or diaphragm-controlled flap opens completely. - The air flows back in within 1-2 minutes. - The pillow returns to its original state. 4.5 Functional result The interaction of the described components results in: - an initially soft seating feel, - a slow transition to higher strength, - the perception of a subtle βtimerβ through changes in the seating experience, - automatic regeneration without user intervention. The mechanism works without electronics, pumps, or manual operation. 7. Dynamic seat cushion, consisting of a flexible, airtight cover made of thermoplastic elastomer, an elastic foam core arranged therein, an outer layer for comfort, and an adjustable throttle check valve integrated into the cover, characterized in that when sitting, air escapes from the cushion in a throttled manner and the seat cushion becomes increasingly firm within a predetermined time interval, and that when pressure is released, air quickly flows back in via the check valve, so that the original volume and seating feel are automatically restored. Seat cushion according to claim 1, characterized in that the throttle check valve has an adjustable throttle opening which variably limits the airflow depending on the body weight or the desired time period. Seat cushion according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the refilling time upon release of pressure is less than 3 minutes. Seat cushion according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the cover is manufactured by means of welding. Seat cushion according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the PU foam core has a restoring force which enables the automatic intake of ambient air through the valve. Seat cushion according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the comfort layer consists of felt or a comparable textile material. Seat cushion according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the time interval between initial seat softness and final hardness is adjustable between 20 and 30 minutes. Seat cushion according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the valve is arranged on the underside of the cushion cover and is fully integrated in an airtight manner.
