Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a fire damper installation kit.
[0002] A fire damper is a component for installation in a ventilation duct of an air-conditioning supply and / or exhaust ventilation system. A fire damper is designed to prevent the transmission of fire and smoke from one section of a ventilation duct to the next. A fire damper is installed, among other places, in a recess in a building wall. For this purpose, the fire damper has a fire damper installation kit surrounding the outside of the fire damper, which is used to mount the fire damper in the recess.
[0003] A disadvantage is that the space available on site is sometimes too small if another ventilation duct or other ventilation ducts are located in the immediate vicinity of the ventilation duct in question.
[0004] The object of the invention is to avoid the aforementioned disadvantages and to provide a fire damper installation kit which also enables the installation of ventilation ducts if several ventilation ducts are arranged in close proximity.
[0005] This object is achieved by a fire damper installation kit for the installation of at least two fire dampers, wherein the fire damper installation kit is designed for arrangement in a recess of a wall or a ceiling, wherein each fire damper has a housing and each forms a component of a room air-conditioning and / or ventilation system, wherein the fire damper installation kit comprises at least one plate with a number of recesses for respectively receiving the housing of a fire damper, wherein the number of recesses corresponds to the number of fire dampers to be accommodated, wherein the plate comprises at least two plate segments which are designed such that the totality of their plate segments forms the recesses and thus a housing inserted into the recess is surrounded on all sides by the totality of the plate segments, wherein each plate segment can be attached laterally from the outside to at least one housing or at least partially around at least one housing, and wherein each plate segment, in the attached state, touches directly or indirectly with the other plate segment(s) at two abutting edges.
[0006] The fire damper installation kit according to the invention makes it possible to install several fire dampers in one and the same fire damper installation kit. This also enables the installation of fire dampers that are installed in ventilation ducts arranged at a short distance from one another. If the corresponding plate segments of a plate, when installed, indirectly touch the other plate segment(s) of this plate at two abutting edges, a further component, such as a sealing strip, can be provided between two abutting edges. Each plate segment can be attached laterally from the outside, i.e. relative to the housing, to at least one housing or can be attached at least partially around at least one housing.
[0007] In the fire damper installation kit according to the invention, a housing inserted into the recess is surrounded on all sides by the entire assembly of plate segments. Thus, a housing is not surrounded by a single plate segment, but by at least two plate segments.
[0008] At least one plate segment can belong to several recordings.
[0009] At least one plate segment, preferably each plate segment, can be attached laterally from the outside in the radial direction to at least one housing or can be attached at least partially around at least one housing.
[0010] The fire damper installation kit can be designed to accommodate at least two fire dampers, and at least one plate can comprise exactly two plate segments, wherein each plate segment of this plate is designed such that, when attached to the fire dampers, the two plate segments each form a recess for each fire damper housing to be accommodated. In a housing with a round cross-section, each plate segment has two semicircular recesses, so that when assembled, the two plate segments form two round recesses. In a housing with a square cross-section, each plate segment can have two rectangular recesses, so that when assembled, the two plate segments form two square recesses. However, in the case of housings each with a square housing cross-section, it is also possible for only one plate segment to form the two rectangular recesses in the required size, and for the second plate segment to only rest on the free fourth side of each housing from the outside.
[0011] The fire damper installation kit can be designed to accommodate two fire dampers and at least one plate can have three plate segments, wherein two plate segments each form a plate end region of this plate and the third plate segment forms the plate middle part of this plate and wherein each plate segment forming a plate end region forms a recess with the plate middle part.
[0012] The fire damper installation kit can also be designed to accommodate three fire dampers and at least one plate can have four plate segments, wherein two plate segments each form a plate end region of this plate and the third and fourth plate segment each form one of the two plate middle parts of this plate and wherein each plate segment forming a plate end region forms a recess with the directly adjacent plate middle part.
[0013] In at least one recess, the two abutting edges of the plate segments forming the recess cannot be at the same height.
[0014] At least one panel can be made of calcium silicate. Calcium silicate panels are heat-resistant, fireproof, and provide suitable high-temperature insulation.
[0015] Alternatively, at least one panel can be made of solid wood, a solid wood-based material, or a wood veneer-based material. A solid wood-based material could be, for example, a solid wood panel, glued laminated timber (GLT), or laminated wood. Examples of a wood veneer-based material include laminated veneer lumber (LVL) or veneer strip lumber (PSL). A honeycomb panel is also conceivable.
[0016] At least one plate can consist of a flat and even sheet metal.
[0017] At least one plate consisting of a flat and even sheet metal can be designed as a front panel.
[0018] At least in a partial area, an overlapping area protruding from the abutting edge of a panel segment can be adjacent to the abutting edge, with the overlapping area being offset by the material thickness of the panel segment relative to the general extent of the panel segment. When installed, the panel segments of a panel touch each other at their two abutting edges. In the partial area where an overlapping area is provided, the touching abutting edges are covered by the overlapping area, so that the overlapping area additionally protects the area of the touching abutting edges.
[0019] The plate segments of at least one plate, which in the attached state touch the other plate segment(s) at two abutting edges, can be fixed in the attached state by at least one separate fixing element indirectly with respect to a relative movement to one another in at least one direction, wherein each plate segment of two adjacent plate segments, preferably in the end region adjacent to the abutting edge, each has at least one insertion region accessible from the outside, preferably an insertion region designed as an insertion opening, and that the two adjacent plate segments are fixed by at least one clamp designed as a fixing element, which engages with a partial region into at least one insertion region of the one plate segment and with another partial region into at least one insertion region of the other plate segment.During installation, the clamp simply needs to be inserted from the outside with its sections into the insertion areas of the plate segments. Preferably, at least one clamp is made of a sheet metal, preferably flat and level.
[0020] At least one clamp can have a U-shaped configuration forming a web and two fixing legs formed thereon, preferably aligned in parallel.
[0021] The plate segments of two adjacent plate segments can form a common receiving area in their adjacent end areas for receiving a portion of the bracket, preferably the web of the bracket.
[0022] Each insertion region can have an active surface, wherein the active surfaces of the interacting insertion regions of two adjacent plate segments point away from each other in the fixed state and are arranged at a distance B from each other.
[0023] The fire damper installation kit can comprise at least two panels, with adjacent panels lying flat against each other. In such a configuration, it is advisable if the abutting edges of the panel segments forming the same recess of at least two adjacent panels are not aligned. The adjacent panel segments of adjacent panels can be screwed together, for example.
[0024] The invention also relates to a combination comprising, on the one hand, at least two fire dampers, each fire damper having a housing, preferably having a round or a square flow cross-section, and a damper blade, preferably made of calcium silicate, mounted therein, preferably centrally with respect to the flow cross-section, so as to be pivotable about an axis of rotation between an open position and a closed position, and comprising, on the other hand, a fire damper installation kit surrounding the housings of all fire dampers on the outside, the fire damper installation kit being designed according to one of the claims and the fire damper installation kit having a number of recesses corresponding to the number of fire dampers, each recess accommodating a housing of a fire damper. In general, the damper blade is pivotally mounted about the axis of rotation from its closed position into its open position against the restoring force of at least one spring element, wherein in its open position the damper blade is aligned parallel to the flow direction and in its closed position the damper blade is aligned at right angles to the flow direction, wherein the fire damper generally has at least one holding element which holds the damper blade in its open position and gives way, preferably melts, in the event of a fire, preferably at a temperature between 70 °C and 95 °C, so that the damper blade is pivoted into its closed position by the restoring force of the at least one spring element.
[0025] At least one sealing strip, preferably made of an intumescent material, can be arranged between at least one attached plate and the outside of a housing.
[0026] The following are exemplary embodiments of the invention illustrated in the drawings. They show: Fig. 1 a first embodiment of a fire damper installation kit according to the invention with two fire dampers arranged therein in an oblique view from the front, Fig. 2 the object after Fig. 1 in side view, Fig. 3 an exploded view of the object according to Fig. 1 without the two fire dampers that can be arranged therein, Fig. 4 the object after Fig. 3 in the assembled state, Fig. 5 the object after Fig. 4 from the front, Fig. 6 the object after Fig. 4 from behind, Fig. 7 a second embodiment of a fire damper installation kit according to the invention without fire dampers that can be arranged therein, from the rear, Fig. 8 the object after Fig. 7 from the front, Fig. 9 the object after Fig. 7 in an oblique view in the assembled state, Fig. 10 an exploded view of the object according to Fig. 7 in an oblique view, Fig. 11 the object after Fig. 7 in side view, Fig. 12 the area of the abutting edges of two plate segments of a plate as well as a separate fixing element and Fig. 13 shows a further embodiment of a fire damper installation kit according to the invention without fire dampers that can be arranged therein.
[0027] In all figures, identical reference symbols are used for identical or similar components.
[0028] The Fig. Figures 1 to 13 show different embodiments of a fire damper installation kit according to the invention for installing a fire damper 1 in a recess in a wall or ceiling. In the illustrated embodiments, each fire damper installation kit accommodates two fire dampers 1. Only the housing and the external drive mechanism of each fire damper 1 are shown. The housing protrudes on both sides of the fire damper installation kit.
[0029] The one in the Fig. The fire damper installation kit shown in Figures 1 to 6 has a total of seven plates 2. Based on Fig. 2, seen from the right, the first, the second, the third, the fifth and the sixth plate 2 are made of calcium silicate plates.
[0030] The fourth plate 2 and the seventh plate 2 consist of a flat and even sheet. For this reason, the fourth plate 2 and the seventh plate 2 are significantly narrower than the other five plates 2. The seventh plate 2, ie the left plate 2 in Fig. 2, is designed as a front panel and protrudes laterally on all four edges compared to the six other panels 2.
[0031] Each of the seven plates 2 comprises two recesses 3 for receiving a housing of a fire damper 1. Each plate 2 comprises two plate segments 2a which are designed such that the totality of their plate segments 2a forms the two recesses 3, wherein each plate segment 2a can be attached laterally from the outside to a housing of a fire damper 1 or can be attached at least partially around at least one housing of a fire damper 1. The two plate segments 2a of each plate 2 contact the other plate segment 2a at a total of three points in the attached state, indirectly at two abutting edges 4. In the illustrated embodiment, a sealing strip 5 is additionally provided at two points between the two abutting edges 4 of each plate segment 2a.
[0032] As the exploded view shows Fig. 3 shows, two sealing strips 6, preferably made of an intumescent material, are arranged at least between two plates 2 on the one hand and the outside of the housing on the other hand.
[0033] In the Fig. In the fire damper installation kit shown in Figures 1 to 6, each of the seven plates 2 has exactly two plate segments 2a, wherein each plate segment 2a of each plate 2 is designed such that the two plate segments 2a, when attached to the fire dampers 1, each form a recess 3 for each housing of a fire damper 1 to be accommodated. Since the housing has a round cross-section, each plate segment 2a has two semicircular recesses, so that in the assembled state, the two plate segments 2a form two round recesses 3. Each plate segment 2a can be attached laterally from the outside in a radial direction around a housing.
[0034] For example Fig. As shown in Figure 2, the abutting edges 4 of the first to fourth plates 2—viewed from the left—are aligned on the one hand, and the abutting edges 4 of the fifth to seventh plates 2 on the other hand. Consequently, the abutting edges 4 of all plate segments 2a forming one and the same recess 3 are not aligned as a whole.
[0035] As for example the exploded view in Fig. 10, the adjacent plate segments 2a of adjacent plates 2 are screwed together by means of screws 7. Before assembly, in this respect - based on the embodiment according to the Fig. 1 to 6 - for example, two blocks are initially manufactured, each consisting of seven plate segments 2a. On the construction site, first one block with seven plate segments 2a is placed around the outside of the two fire dampers 1, followed by the second block with the seven plate segments 2a.
[0036] As in particular Fig. As shown in Figure 12, the two plate segments 2a of the sheet metal plate 2, which in the mounted state touch the other plate segment 2a at two abutting edges 4, are fixed in the mounted state by two separate fixing elements designed as clamps 8 with respect to a relative movement to each other in at least one direction. This is also the case in the embodiment according to the Fig. 1 to 6. Each plate segment 2a of the two adjacent plate segments 2a has, in the end region adjacent to the abutting edge 4, an insertion area 9 that is laterally accessible from the outside. The two adjacent plate segments 2a are fixed by the clamps 8. Each clamp 8 has two sub-areas. With one sub-area, the clamp 8 engages in the insertion area 9 of one plate segment 2a, and with the other sub-area, it engages in the insertion area 9 of the other plate segment 2a.
[0037] Each clamp 8 has a U-shaped configuration, forming a web 10 and two parallel-aligned fixing legs 11 formed thereon. The plate segments 2a of two adjacent plate segments 2a form, in their adjacent end regions, a common receiving region 12 for receiving a portion of the clamp 8, namely the web 10.
[0038] Each of the two fixing legs 11 of the clamp 8 has an inner surface 13, wherein the inner surfaces 13 of both fixing legs 11 are aligned facing each other. The two inner surfaces 13 of each fixing leg 11 run parallel in the area adjacent to the free end of each fixing leg 11. In this parallel area, the two inner surfaces 13 are arranged at a distance A from each other.
[0039] Each insertion region 9 has an active surface 14, wherein the active surfaces 14 of the interacting insertion regions 9 of two adjacent plate segments 2a point away from each other in the fixed state and are arranged at a distance B from each other. When the clamp 8 is inserted with its two fixing legs 11 into the respective insertion region 9, the two adjacent plate segments 2a are fixed, since the inner surface 13 of each fixing leg 11 is in contact with the corresponding active surface 14.
[0040] How Fig. 5, an overlapping area 15 protruding from the abutting edge 4 of one of the two plate segments 2a of the plate 2 forming the front panel is adjacent to the abutting edge 4. The overlapping area 15 is arranged and aligned offset by the material thickness of this plate segment 2a with respect to the general extent of this plate segment 2a. Fig. 5, the upper plate segment 2a has a corresponding overlapping area 15 in the right area of its abutting edge 4, while the lower plate segment 2a has the overlapping area 15 in the left area of its abutting edge 4.
[0041] The Fig. 7 to 11 show a second embodiment of a fire damper installation kit according to the invention, wherein the fire damper installation kit in the illustrated embodiment consists of a total of six plates 2. The in Fig. The third plate 2 shown from the left in Figure 9 is again made of sheet metal, while the five other plates 2 are made of calcium silicate plates and are therefore significantly thicker.
[0042] Like the Fig. 7 and Fig. 8, in both recesses 3, the two abutting edges 4 of the plate segments 2a forming the respective recess 3 are not arranged at the same height, but offset from one another with respect to the center of a recess 3.
[0043] The fire damper installation kit is designed to accommodate two fire dampers 1. However, each of the three panels 2 has a total of three panel segments 2a, with two panel segments 2a each forming a panel end section of this panel 2, and the third panel segment 2a forming the panel center section of this panel 2. Each panel segment 2a forming a panel end section forms a recess 3 with the panel center section.
[0044] Thus, the plate segments 2a forming the middle part of the plate belong to both recordings.
[0045] In this embodiment, the two abutting edges 4 of the plate segments 2a forming a recess 3 are not arranged at the same height, as for example Fig. 8 shows.
[0046] Fig. Figure 13 shows a further embodiment of a fire damper installation kit according to the invention, which is suitable for accommodating two fire dampers 1 with a rectangular cross-section. The plate 2 comprises two recesses 3, each for accommodating a housing of a fire damper 1, with each plate 2 comprising two plate segments 2a. Fig. 13 upper plate segment 2a is attached to the outside of both housings, while the Fig. 13 The lower plate segment 2a can be attached at least partially around each of the two housings from the outside. Thus, the lower plate segment 2a surrounds each housing on a total of three sides.
