AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing lighting devices, such as 'wallwaters', fail to provide glare-free illumination and user-friendly design for observers due to direct exposure of light bars.

Method used

A carrier element for light bars is designed with two regions forming an angle of 70° to 110°, preferably 90°, where one region supports the light bar and the other conceals it, using materials like rigid foam or plastic, with fastening elements and pivot elements for secure mounting, and optionally includes a power supply unit.

Benefits of technology

The solution ensures glare-free illumination by concealing the light bar, providing a user-friendly and reliable mounting system for light bars, enhancing the lighting experience.

Description

The invention relates to a carrier element for a light bar, wherein the carrier element is provided and designed to support the light bar.Such a carrier element for a light bar is known, for example, from DE 10 2010 034 140 A1. With such lighting devices, walls are illuminated uniformly and are also referred to as "wallwater".Such lighting devices are also often used for stores and display areas for sales areas for displaying goods. The object of the invention is to provide a support element for a light bar of the type mentioned at the beginning which offers particular advantages to the observer in conjunction with a light bar. This is achieved in that the carrier element for a light bar, in which the carrier element is provided and designed to support the light bar, is designed such that the carrier element has two regions, the two regions meet at an angle between 70° and 110°, in particular between 80° and 100°, and particularly preferably at an angle of 90°, the first region of the carrier element is provided and designed to be connected to a ceiling on one side and is provided for receiving the light bar on the opposite side, and the second region of the carrier element is provided and designed to conceal the light bar. With such a carrier element, a user-friendly "wallwater" is created, since the light bar is covered "forward" and thus a glare-free light element is made possible. In a preferred embodiment, the second region has in its end region a projection oriented in the direction of the light bar. This achieves additional glare protection. The first region of the carrier element is typically configured planar at right angles when this region is attached to a "normal" ceiling. If, however, the carrier element is to be arranged on a roof slope, this first region must be adapted accordingly and designed at an angle, so that the second region of the carrier element runs parallel to the roof slope, that is to say runs approximately parallel, preferably at an angle of 90°, to the roof slope. The second region is preferably so high that it completely covers the light strip received by the first region. In this way, glare-free illumination of the wall by the "wallwater" is achieved. The carrier element is preferably formed from rigid foam or styropor or a comparable material. Alternatively, the carrier element can also be made of plastic. This allows a fixed and simultaneously favorable design of the carrier element.Advantageously, fastening elements for the light bar are arranged in the carrier element. For this purpose, recesses are preferably provided in the carrier element itself, in which additional pivot elements are arranged or the carrier elements can be formed directly as pivot elements. The pivot elements preferably have latching devices, so that the light bars can be held in specific positions in the fastening elements. The fastening elements are advantageously also made of plastic, in particular when the carrier element is made of rigid foam or styropor. In this way, a reliable and reliable mounting of the light bar in the carrier element is ensured.A further aspect of the invention consists in providing the entire lighting device which has a light bar and a carrier element described above. Preferably, such a lighting device also comprises a power supply. This is preferably arranged between two sections of a light strip. The light bar is preferably formed from standard elements with lengths of 100 cm or 50 cm and a power supply unit is arranged between two such elements, which converts the voltage from 220 volts to 24 volts. The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to an exemplary embodiment shown in the drawing. In detail, the schematic representations show in: FIG. 1 : a cross section through a carrier element according to the invention; FIG. 2 : a cross section through a carrier element according to the invention for fastening to a ceiling with a roof slope; and FIG. 3 : shows a cross section through an illumination device according to the invention for a carrier element corresponding to FIG. 1.FIG. 1 shows a cross section through a carrier element 3. This has a first region 4 and a second region 5. These regions meet at an angle of 90°. This is also the typical case. Deviations are, however, quite possible. The first region 4 of the carrier element 3 is provided and designed to be fastened to a ceiling 6. In this first region 4 of the carrier element 3, a fastening element 7 is also provided, which is provided and designed to receive a light strip, not shown here. Typically, this fastening element 7 is configured with or as a clamping element for receiving a clamp carrier or directly as a clamping element, so that the light bar can be received therein. The illuminated wall 11 is located in the left-hand region of FIG. 1 and is illuminated or "flooded" by the light bar arranged in the region of the fastening element 7. However, a viewer standing in the right-hand region of FIG. 1 is not blinded by the second region 5 of the carrier element 3.FIG. 2 likewise shows the carrier element 3 which is designed for attachment to the ceiling 6 in the region of a roof slope 10. Here, the roof slope 10 or the elements arranged thereon is therefore illuminated via the light bar which is arranged on the fastening element 7 without a viewer standing in the right-hand region being blinded. This is prevented by the second region 5 of the carrier element 3. The carrier element 3 is therefore not configured in the first region 4 as a planar element with right angles (as in FIG. 1 ), but rather as a triangular body with angles of 45°, 45° and 90°.FIG. 3 shows the lighting device 1 with the light bar 2 and the carrier element 3 described above. Here too, the illuminated wall 11 is located in the left-hand region of FIG. 3 and the observer is located in the right-hand region of FIG. 3. A pivoting element 8 is arranged in the fastening element 7 in the first region 4 of the carrier element 3, the light bar 2 being arranged on the pivoting element 8. This can be pivoted back and forth with the aid of the pivoting element 8 and can be fixed in any desired position with the aid of a latching device 9. It is noteworthy here too that the second region 5 of the carrier element 3 projects beyond the light bar 2, so that the observer standing in the right-hand region of FIG. 3 cannot be blinded by the light bar 2.References included in the specificationThis list of documents cited by the applicant has been produced in an automated manner and is only included for the better information of the reader.
