Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a roll-off container with a base body in which a container space with a clear length and a clear width is formed.
[0002] Such roll-off containers are well known. They are cuboid-shaped in their external dimensions, with two long walls, two cross walls, and a container base. One cross wall is designed with an eyelet, while the other is often equipped with a double-leaf door. Such a roll-off container is defined as a sliding roll-off container according to DIN 30722.
[0003] Such roll-off containers are generally used in the disposal industry for waste and other bulk materials and are transported to a loading location on the loading area of a swap body vehicle, where they are unloaded by the swap body vehicle using the eyelet and hook boom or rope via a unwinding device and, after loading on site, are pulled back onto the loading area by the swap body vehicle using the hook boom or rope and the eyelet and transported to a destination.
[0004] State-of-the-art roll-off containers are well-suited for the aforementioned purpose. The clear container length is between 4 and 7 meters, and the permissible total weight of the filled roll-off container is 15 tons. This allows for convenient disposal of many types of waste and bulk materials.
[0005] Such roll-off containers are not only used for disposal, but also for the transport of bulk goods and general cargo for other purposes, for example in the context of the delivery of building materials to a destination.
[0006] Transporting general cargo for disposal or other purposes is problematic with state-of-the-art roll-off containers. Unlike bulk cargo or waste, some general cargo is not stable even when attempting to secure it with a lashing strap on the top of the roll-off container. Such problematic general cargo includes pipes, for example, especially when such a small number of them are to be transported in the roll-off container that they do not fill the clear width of the roll-off container and / or are shorter than the clear length of the roll-off container.
[0007] The object of the present invention is therefore to further develop a roll-off container of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that even elongated, rollable piece goods can be transported more securely than before.
[0008] The object is achieved according to the invention in that the base body comprises a piece goods securing device.
[0009] With a piece goods securing device, the piece goods transported in the roll-off container can be prevented from rolling in the transverse direction and / or slipping in the transverse and / or longitudinal direction. With the piece goods securing device of the base body according to the invention, even small quantities of piece goods that are capable of rolling and / or slipping can be transported in a roll-off container.
[0010] A further advantage of the present invention is that the piece goods securing device has at least a first securing element for securing a piece goods in the longitudinal direction of the base body. With the first securing element, piece goods can be systematically and specifically secured so that they cannot slip in the longitudinal direction of the roll-off container. Tubular piece goods with a length shorter than the inside length of the base body would otherwise slip during loading and unloading onto the swap body vehicle due to the temporary tilt and during travel due to inertial forces acting on the tubular piece goods during acceleration and deceleration.
[0011] Another advantage of the present invention is that the piece goods securing device has at least a second securing element for securing the piece goods in the transverse direction of the base body. The second securing element can be used to systematically and specifically prevent rollable or slippery piece goods from rolling or sliding in the transverse direction of the base body. Even when cornering or at an angle relative to the longitudinal axis of the swap body vehicle, elongated piece goods that do not fill the width of the loading space slip or roll toward one or the other longitudinal wall when cornering.
[0012] For longitudinal securing, it is advantageous that the first securing element has an element width in the longitudinal direction of the base body that is suitable for "clamping" a piece of cargo in the container space in the longitudinal direction. The first securing element is therefore variable or adjustable in its width, such that it essentially occupies the free space in the longitudinal direction between the first transverse wall and the second transverse wall if the length of the piece of cargo is less than the clear length of the roll-off container, i.e., the base body. In the context of the present invention, the term "clamping" is to be understood as "loose clamping," i.e., the ability to slide in the longitudinal direction is spatially limited to a few millimeters or centimeters.
[0013] A further advantage of the present invention is that the at least one second securing element has a support surface suitable for supporting the secure separation of the piece goods in the transverse direction. Such a support surface can be suitable for separation by being wave-shaped or serrated in a main direction or by having annular receiving areas that at least partially enclose the piece goods.
[0014] To adapt the piece goods securing device to different lengths of rollable or slippery piece goods, it can have a different number of first and second securing elements. Thus, it is advantageous for the piece goods securing device to have a first securing element when very long piece goods are to be transported, which almost completely occupy the clear space between the first transverse wall and the second transverse wall. If piece goods of somewhat shorter length are to be transported, it can be advantageous for the piece goods securing device to have two first securing elements. In the event that piece goods with a much shorter length than the clear length of the roll-off container or the base body are to be transported, for example with a length that is less than half the clear length of the base body, it is advantageous to arrange three first securing elements in the container space.
[0015] Depending on the number of first securing elements, it is advantageous that the second securing elements can also be arranged in different numbers if the length of the piece goods makes this necessary.
[0016] A further advantage of the present invention is that the at least one first securing element is a flat element positioned transversely on a base of the base body, with an element width adapted to a free space. This allows long piece goods, such as pipes, to be clamped loosely or tightly over a large area in the container space.
[0017] For this purpose, another advantage of the invention is that such a surface element is a EURO pallet. Such EURO pallets are available in many waste disposal and transport companies, making them inexpensive and easy to use.
[0018] For securing in the transverse direction, it is advantageous for the at least one second securing element to be a beam-shaped transverse element arranged on the container bottom and having a topographically designed support surface for the piece goods. Such a topographically designed support surface can, for example, advantageously have a series of recesses formed in a main direction, which are suitable for receiving a piece goods with its circumference in a way that prevents it from rolling or slipping.
[0019] Finally, it is advantageous that the base body features a number of lashing eyes. This makes it possible to additionally secure the cargo already secured with the cargo securing device during transport.
[0020] Further advantages of the present invention emerge from the further features of the subclaims.
[0021] An embodiment of the present invention is described in more detail below with reference to the drawings. Fig. 1 is a schematic and perspective view of a roll-off container according to the present invention; and Fig. 2 a schematic plan view of the roll-off container from Fig. 1.
[0022] In Fig. 1 schematically shows a roll-off container 1 according to the present invention, schematically and in perspective. The roll-off container 1 has a base body 3 in which a container space with a clear length LL and a clear width LB is formed. The base body 3 has a first longitudinal wall 3.1, a second longitudinal wall 3.2, a first transverse wall 3.3, a second transverse wall 3.4 and a container base 3.5. The clear length LL corresponds to the distance between an inner side of the first transverse wall 3.3 and an inner side of the second transverse wall 3.4. The clear width LB corresponds to the distance between an inner side of the first longitudinal wall 3.1 and an inner side of the second longitudinal wall 3.2.
[0023] The first transverse wall 3.3 forms a front side of the roll-off container 1 and its base body 3 and has an eyelet 3.6 to which a towing rope or hook extension can be attached for loading and unloading the roll-off container 1. The second transverse wall 3.4 forms a rear side of the roll-off container 1 or the base body 3 and, in the illustrated embodiment, has a double-leaf door 3.7.
[0024] In the container space determined by the clear length LL and the clear width LB as well as the container bottom 3.5, Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 shows three tubular piece goods S1, S2, and S3 as examples. These three piece goods S1, S2, and S3 each have the same length, but are, for example, less than half the clear length of the base body 3. Without a piece goods securing device 5, these three tubular piece goods S1, S2, and S3 would roll in the transverse direction Q and slide in the longitudinal direction L during transport. Securing them using lashing straps is hardly possible due to the low loading height.
[0025] For this reason, the piece goods securing device 5 is arranged in the container space. The piece goods securing device 5 prevents the tubular piece goods S1, S2, S3 from rolling in the transverse direction Q and also prevents the tubular piece goods S1, S2, S3 from slipping in the longitudinal direction L.
[0026] In the illustrated embodiment, the piece goods securing device 5 comprises three first securing elements 5.1, 5.2, 5.3. One of the three first securing elements 5.1 is arranged on an inner side of the first transverse wall 3.3, a second of the first securing elements 5.1 is arranged on the inner side of the opposite transverse wall 3.4, and a third of the first securing elements 5.1 is arranged in the middle between the first transverse wall 3.3 and the second transverse wall 3.4.
[0027] The first securing element 5.1 is a surface element having an element width B in a longitudinal direction L of the base body 3, which depends on the remaining free space in the longitudinal direction L when the two tubular piece goods S1, S2, S3 are arranged one behind the other in the container space in the longitudinal direction L. The first securing element 5.1 therefore essentially fills the remaining free space after the arrangement of the tubular piece goods S1, S2, S3 in the longitudinal direction L, so that slipping of the tubular piece goods in the longitudinal direction L is no longer possible or only possible within a tolerance range.
[0028] In the Fig. 1 and in Fig. In the embodiment shown in Figure 2, the tubular piece goods S1, S2, S3 are so short that three first securing elements 5.1 essentially fill the difference between the length of the two tubular piece goods S1, S2, S3 arranged one behind the other and the clear length of the base body 3. This prevents the tubular piece goods S1, S2, S3 arranged one behind the other from slipping back and forth in the container space between the first transverse wall 3.3 and the second transverse wall 3.4.
[0029] In the illustrated embodiment, the first securing element 5.1 is a EURO pallet as a surface element, which is arranged centrally in the transverse direction Q of the base body 3 and supported on the container base 3.5. In the illustrated embodiment, all three first securing elements 5.1 are arranged centrally one behind the other in the longitudinal direction L. In other embodiments, the arrangement can also be essentially only central or even off-center. In other embodiments, the first securing elements 5.1 do not all have to be arranged in the same way, i.e., aligned with one another. In these cases, the respective first securing elements 5.1 can be arranged more or less centrally in the longitudinal direction L. It is then only important that there is an overlap of the first securing elements 5.1 in order to be able to accommodate at least one tubular piece of goods S1, S2, S3 between them. The more piece goods S1, S2, S3 are to be transported, the greater the overlap of the first securing elements 5.1 will have to be.
[0030] Furthermore, in other embodiments, the first securing elements 5.1 used do not all have to be identical. Thus, one of the first securing elements 5.1 can be a EURO pallet, while another first securing element 5.1 can be a different type of surface element.
[0031] The cargo securing device 5 also comprises a second securing element 5.2. In the Fig. 1 and Fig. In the embodiment shown in Figure 2, four second securing elements 5.2 are arranged. The second securing elements 5.2 are arranged on the container base 3.5 of the base body 3, supported thereon, and extend there in the transverse direction Q over at least part of the clear width of the base body 5. Specifically, the second securing elements 5.2 are each arranged in spatial proximity to one of the first securing elements 5.1.
[0032] In Fig. 1 and in Fig.2 shows that one of the second securing elements 5.2 is arranged on a side of the first securing element 5.1 facing away from the first transverse wall 3.3, one of the second securing elements 5.2 is arranged on a side of the first securing element 5.1 facing away from the second transverse wall 3.4 and on both sides of the first securing element 5.1 which, in the embodiment shown, is provided by way of example in the middle between the first transverse wall 3.4 and the second transverse wall 3.4.
[0033] In other embodiments, the second securing elements 5.2 can also be arranged at a spatial distance from the first securing element 5.1 on the container bottom 3.5.
[0034] The at least one second securing element 5.2 is beam-shaped and has a support surface 5.3 facing away from the container base 3.5, which has a topographically designed surface structure. In the illustrated embodiment, the surface structure is serrated, with the distance between two consecutive serrations 5.4 being adapted to the circumference of the tubular piece goods S1, S2, S3. As a result, one of the tubular piece goods S1, S2, S3 rests between two serrations 5.4 when stored in the container space and during transport and cannot roll in the transverse direction Q.
[0035] In other embodiments, the topography can also be designed differently, for example, wave-shaped. It is essential that the topography forms recesses in which the circumference of an elongated piece of goods S1, S2, S3 can be accommodated, at least over a partial circumference thereof. In certain embodiments, these recesses can also represent circular sections in round through holes of the second securing element 5.2.
[0036] The invention is not limited to embodiments suitable for securing tubular piece goods S1, S2, S3 in the longitudinal and transverse directions Q within a roll-off container 1. The piece goods S1, S2, S3 can have a round, rollable peripheral shape or a square, non-slip peripheral shape. The invention is applicable to all elongated piece goods that are to be transported in a roll-off container 1.
[0037] The roll-off container 1 of the present invention can comply with DIN 30720. However, this is not mandatory. Rather, other roll-off containers 1 are also encompassed by the invention.
[0038] The roll-off container 1 has a plurality of lashing eyes (not shown) on its base body 3. The plurality of lashing eyes are generally formed on the base body 3 in the longitudinal direction L, for example, on the first and second longitudinal walls 3.1, 3.2. Each of the plurality of lashing eyes is suitable for receiving a tensioning strap.
