Description

[0001] The invention relates to a one-piece picture frame system (1) for receiving and improving the effect of pictures (2), consisting of the system element (3) and the material connection (4), according to the preamble of claim 1.

[0002] Picture frames come in a wide variety of shapes and materials. However, a disadvantage of conventional picture frames is that the production costs for visually appealing frames are high, and transporting these frames is not particularly space-saving or weight-efficient.

[0003] Another disadvantage, especially with cardboard picture frames, is that their assembly is often cumbersome and therefore requires a great deal of explanation.

[0004] The object of the invention is to design a visually appealing picture frame with a high 3D effect, preferably made from sustainably produced materials, in such a way that the production of the picture frame in large quantities, preferably on high-performance machines for the production of folding boxes and bands, can be fully automated and thus be particularly inexpensive, and that easy assembly of the picture frame is possible.

[0005] This problem is solved according to the invention by forming the one-piece picture frame system (1) for holding and enhancing the effect of pictures (2) from the system element (3) with the material connection (4), which has the sections (5 to 13) and the die-cut opening (14) and is preferably made from sustainable materials (for example, certified cardboard with environmental labels). Due to the special design principle of the one-piece picture frame system (1), good stability values are achieved even with small material thicknesses of the system element (3).

[0006] An embodiment of the invention is described with reference to the Fig. 1-8 explained. They show: Fig. 1 Front view of the one-piece picture frame system (1) with the system element (3), after the processing, without an integrated picture (2). The system element (3) has the frame opening (14) formed by the groove lines (17 and 19) and the punch lines (23 and 24). Section (5) of the retaining bracket (27) is located between the groove lines (17 and 18), and section (9) of the retaining bracket (28) is located between the groove lines (19 and 20). Section (6) of the retaining bracket (27) is located between the groove line (18) and the punch line (21), and section (8) of the retaining bracket (28) is located between the groove line (20) and the punch line (22). An embossing (26), for example of a monogram, can be seen in the lower area of the picture frame system (1). Fig. 2 Front view of the one-piece picture frame system (1) with the system element (3), after the processing, with a picture (2) integrated behind the frame opening (14). Fig. 3 Top view of the system element (3) in the form of a die-cut cardboard sheet. The system element (3) with the frame opening (14) consists of the cardboard sections (10 to 13). The cardboard section (12) is located between the two scoring lines (15 and 16). Between the cardboard sections (10 and 11) is a perforated die-cut line (25) which allows the two cardboard sections (10 and 11) to be easily folded by 90°. Fig. 4 Side view of the system element (3) in the unbent state, after folding of the cardboard section (11), including the section (10) at the groove line (15), and after folding of the cardboard section (13) at the groove line (16). The two cardboard sections (11 and 13) are connected to each other by the adhesive (14). Fig. 5 Side view of the system element (3) in the unbent state, after folding the cardboard section (11), including the section (10) at the groove line (15), and after folding the cardboard section (13) at the groove line (16). The cardboard section (7) was removed, and the two cardboard sections (6 and 8) adjoining the two cardboard sections (5 and 9) were folded over by 180°. Fig. 6 Side view of the system element (3) in its slightly bent state. The two cardboard sections (5 and 9) adjoining the two cardboard sections (6 and 8) were bent downwards into the interior of the frame system (3) at the groove lines (17 and 19) in such a way as to create the two angled retaining tabs (17 and 19) and the frame opening (14). Fig. 7 Side view of the system element (3) in its slightly bent state. A picture (2), slightly bent, was inserted laterally between the two angled retaining tabs (17 and 19) so that it is visible through the frame opening (14) and at the same time a space (29) is created between the frame opening (14) and the picture (2), which gives the one-piece picture frame system (1) with the picture (2) a strong, three-dimensional effect and aesthetically enhances the picture (2). Fig.8. Side view of the system element (3) in its slightly bent state. The picture (2), which has been inserted laterally and slightly bent, is visible between the two angled retaining tabs (17 and 19). The section (10) was bent upwards by approximately 90° at the perforated punch line (25). This counteracts the restoring forces caused by the bending of the system element (3) and simultaneously gives the one-piece picture frame system (1) a precisely defined shape and the desired stability.

[0007] The one-piece picture frame system (1) enables space- and weight-saving transport, for example in an envelope. This environmentally friendly and cost-effective shipping results from the fact that the system element (3) can be transported particularly flat and only after the picture frame system (1) is assembled does a voluminous structure (in the form of a pointed oval when viewed from above) emerge.

[0008] The design principle of the one-piece picture frame system (1) allows for thin materials, which also has a positive effect on manufacturing and transport costs.

[0009] The assembly of the one-piece picture frame system (1) is uncomplicated and can be carried out very quickly: After forming the two angled retaining tabs (17 and 19), the picture (2) is inserted and finally the section (10) is bent over by approximately 90°, so that the desired shape of a pointed oval with the corresponding stability is always maintained in the one-piece picture frame system (1).
