[1] Energy generation system comprising at least one floating current sphere attached to a coastal pile or support structure and oscillating due to water movements, the current sphere comprising an internal generator driven by the up-and-down and pivoting movements of the sphere, a wind rotor with associated generator arranged on the sphere for converting wind energy, and optionally solar modules mounted on the pile or sphere for harnessing solar energy, wherein all direct currents generated in the current sphere and on the support structure are transmitted via an electrical line to a common coastal collection center which stores the energy, stabilizes it, optionally converts it into alternating current and makes it available to consumers or micro-energy islands, and wherein the system is modular and several such current spheres can be combined to form a scalable coastal facility.
