[0001] The invention relates to a component for guiding and fastening air filter cartridges on two-wheeled vehicles, in particular on mopeds which, due to their design, have the air filter mounted on a cover plate which closes off the intake air chamber, for example the Simson series S51.
[0002] The component is designed as an air filter plate and is intended for retrofitting.
[0003] Many mopeds are equipped with an air filter plate that houses a single air filter cartridge. Fresh air is drawn in through the air filter cartridge into the intake chamber and from there into the carburetor. The air filter cartridge is typically secured by a wire spring that engages with openings in the air filter plate.
[0004] The invention is based on the objective of providing an improved air supply without changing the basic design of the air filter unit or the original external appearance of the vehicle.
[0005] This task is solved by an air filter plate which can be mounted in place of the standard air filter plate and allows the simultaneous attachment of two air filter cartridges.
