Portable device (1), in particular a portable piece of jewelry, comprising: a housing part (10) extending around the outer circumference, which can be closed on two opposite sides with at least one jewelry element (20, 28) each, and an electronic unit (30) arranged inside the housing part between the jewelry elements, which has a frequency generator (34) and an electromagnetic transmitter element (36) which are configured to generate an alternating electromagnetic field using an alternating voltage, which at least partially penetrates at least one of the jewelry elements (20, 28) in a near-field area.
