Description

Technical area

[0001] The invention relates to a homeopathic remedy for use as a medicament for smoking cessation therapy, which contains cigarettes in homeopathic dilution. background

[0002] It is well known that smoking quickly leads to addiction. Many smokers who want to quit therefore face withdrawal symptoms, which often lead to relapse. Nicotine patches are available on the market that allow nicotine to be absorbed through the skin. However, these neither solve the problem of nicotine addiction nor do they offer a substitute for the act of smoking, so even with the use of nicotine patches, permanent smoking cessation often fails.

[0003] Homeopathic remedies for smoking cessation are also known. DE 20 2008 007 923 U1 describes a suppository containing at least Nicotiana tabacum. US 2006 / 062835 A1 describes a method for nicotine withdrawal in which, in a first phase, a pressure pad is applied to the patient's ear. In a second phase, the patient takes a withdrawal medication orally. In a third phase, which overlaps with the first phase, a stress-reducing substance is taken orally. These treatment steps are continued in a fourth phase. US 2005 / 100513 A1 describes a method for nicotine withdrawal in which two homeopathic substances are administered simultaneously, the first counteracting nicotine addiction and the second detoxifying the body.Finally, RU 2 143 274 C1 describes a homeopathic remedy for smoking cessation administered in the form of sugar granules. Another smoking cessation remedy based on a mixture of various active ingredients in homeopathic dilution is known from EP 2 070 544 B1. Description of the invention

[0004] The object of the invention is to provide a smoking cessation aid that enables permanent smoking cessation in the majority of cases. This object is achieved according to the invention by the agent according to one of claims 1-3. Accordingly, the present invention relates to: i) a homeopathic remedy for use as a medicinal product for smoking cessation therapy, characterized in that the remedy contains cigarettes, including paper and filters, where present, in homeopathic dilution, that the remedy contains cigarettes in the homeopathic dilutions D6, D8 or D12 and that the remedy contains cigarettes of the brand in homeopathic dilution that the respective patient smoked before starting smoking cessation therapy; ii) a homeopathic remedy for use as a medicinal product for smoking cessation therapy according to i), characterized in that the homeopathic remedy is in the form of drops, globules, a sugar solution in liquid or solid form, chewing gum, creams, ointments, gels, skin rollers, suppositories or an aqueous solution, the aqueous solution being designed for injection, inhalation, spraying or vaporisation;and iii) a homeopathic remedy for use as a medicinal product for smoking cessation therapy according to ii), characterized in that the aqueous solution is an isotonic NaCl solution. ;

[0005] The remedy contains cigarettes, including tobacco cigarettes and hashish cigarettes, in homeopathic dilution, whereby the cigarettes are used whole, i.e. including paper and filters if present, and are processed into the desired homeopathic dilutions according to the rules of the Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia (HAB).

[0006] Each cigarette brand contains different types of tobacco, blends of tobacco types, and additives such as addictive substances, fragrances, preservatives, etc. For personalized smoking cessation therapy, a specific cigarette brand is therefore used for the smoking cessation agent according to the invention.

[0007] The potencies mentioned correspond to the generally accepted and well-known potencies of homeopathic preparations and are manufactured according to the regulations of the Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia. The letter, in combination with the respective potency level, indicates the degree of dilution in the smoking cessation remedies according to the invention.

[0008] The smoking cessation remedy according to the invention is manufactured according to the rules and regulations of the applicable Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia. A mother tincture is then prepared from the respective cigarettes and subsequently potentized homeopathically.

[0009] For example, the D6 dilution of an aqueous solution of cigarettes of a particular brand as such according to HAB can be prepared as follows. Mother tincture:

[0010] According to the maceration or percolation procedures described in the Tinctures section of the Extracts monograph in the European Pharmacopoeia (Ph.Eur.), a mother tincture is prepared from 1 part of fresh or dried cigarettes of a specific brand and 10 parts of ethanol of suitable concentration. Potentiation:

[0011] The mother tincture corresponds to the first decimal dilution (D1). The second decimal dilution (D2) is prepared from 1 part of the mother tincture and 9 parts water for injections. The following dilutions are then prepared in the same way to obtain the third, fourth, fifth, and finally sixth decimal dilution (D6).

[0012] The dilutions thus obtained can then be processed individually or in combination into suitable dosage forms.

[0013] The smoking cessation aids according to the invention can be available in all common dosage forms for administering homeopathic medicines. Suitable dosage forms include drops, globules, a sugar solution in liquid or solid form, chewing gum, creams, ointments, gels, skin rollers, suppositories, or an aqueous solution, whereby the aqueous solution can be designed for injection, inhalation, spraying, or vaporization.

[0014] The aqueous solution can be an isotonic NaCl solution. The aqueous solution can also be an alcoholic solution.

[0015] The smoking cessation agents according to the invention are preferably in the form of aqueous solutions for injection, drops, and globules. For example, the previously described D6 dilutions can be converted into an aqueous solution for injection.

[0016] The smoking cessation agent according to the invention is particularly preferably an aqueous solution for injection. In this case, the diluent is water, and the active ingredients are aqueous solutions. With a single 2 ml injection of this agent into the earlobe, it is possible to achieve immediate smoking cessation with a high success rate. Surprisingly, withdrawal symptoms generally do not occur even during the first 24 hours, and long-term smoking cessation is achieved in the majority of cases. In rare cases, a second injection is necessary to achieve complete smoking cessation.

[0017] The smoking cessation remedy contains cigarettes of the brand in homeopathic dilution that the patient smoked before starting smoking cessation therapy.
