Description
[0001] The invention relates to an automated cleaning device for insect screens according to claim 1, which is particularly suitable for mobile use.
[0002] Insect screens are typically constructed from a flexible mesh or a rigid structure such as a metal or plastic mesh.
[0003] Over time, insect screens, which are mounted on a frame that can be attached to a window or door, accumulate foreign particles such as dust, dirt, dead insects, etc., impairing their light and air permeability. Once dust, dirt, and insect debris have become embedded in the mesh structure of the screens, attempts are made to remove the foreign particles manually using cleaning cloths or special squeegees. The frames are typically made of aluminum, plastic, or wood.
[0004] The fly screen is a transparent, light- and air-permeable fabric with high tear resistance and is usually made of a flexible or rigid gauze, i.e., a textile gauze or a metal gauze. Textile gauze can contain polyester, vinyl, and / or fiberglass. Metal gauze can contain stainless steel yarn with a yarn thickness of 0.2 mm or less. It can have mesh sizes from 1 mm x 1.5 mm to 1 mm x 0.5 mm or even finer, and can keep out not only flies but also pollen and granular air pollutants.
[0005] However, it is often necessary to remove the gauze of the grids and wash it or replace it with new gauze to avoid an unsightly appearance of the gauze.
[0006] Attempts to clean the gauze by brushing it with a hand brush are difficult because the gauze is made of a flexible, pliable material that can be destroyed during brushing.
[0007] In particular, insect screens installed in industrial environments such as bakeries, food processing companies, clinics and nursing homes become dirty not only due to dust and insect deposits but also due to smoke condensate, grease and oil contamination, which can often only be remedied by replacing or cleaning the removed screens.
[0008] DE 43 11 415 A1 discloses a rolling insect screen device with a cleaning brush. This device is only suitable for insect screens designed as rolling screens and cleaned by a brush strip when rolled up or down. The device described therein cannot be used for insect screens mounted in removable frames, which can be easily removed and installed in front of windows and doors without major installation effort.
[0009] DE 32 12 916 A1 relates to a method and a device for cleaning silk cloths used in silk printing, which are clamped in a frame. The cloth is exposed to ultrasound while being located in a container filled with liquid. Thus, a method is known for cleaning textile fabrics that are clamped in a frame, completely immersed in a cleaning liquid, and subjected to ultrasound. No mechanical cleaning methods are used, and no reference is made to their use for fly screens.
[0010] KR 101282736 B1 and KR 10 2009 0009635 A cover insect screens that can be cleaned by means of attached brushes when being rolled up and down.
[0011] KR 100773968 B1 concerns a cleaning device for an insect screen frame. A roller brush can be attached to one side of the frame as part of a cleaning device designed to clean the insect screen. Cleaning is performed using a brush technique, with the brush engaging the insect screen on one side. Due to this one-sided loading, fly screens are subject to significant mechanical stress and can be easily damaged.
[0012] KR 10 2013 006 1242 A also considers a fly screen cleaning device, wherein the window is designed as a sliding window and the cleaning device is intended to clean the outside of the window.
[0013] DE 1 910 683 A considers a window cleaning device which proposes several counter-rotating cleaning rollers for cleaning glass windows and which can be moved relative to the window pane by means of a gear strip.
[0014] DE 100 49 325 A1 relates to a device for cleaning sun protection blinds consisting of slat-like elements arranged at a distance from one another. For this purpose, at least two vertically arranged and rotating brushes are provided. The blind can be pulled vertically between the brushes on a cross member by means of a pulling device, and a dirt carrier medium is directed onto the brushes by means of a nozzle arrangement.
[0015] FR 2 233 808 A5 discloses a cleaning device suitable for insect screens clamped in frames, comprising a first conveyor device which is suitable for feeding insect screens to be cleaned to a cleaning unit, wherein the cleaning unit is equipped with nozzles for supplying and distributing cleaning fluid onto the insect screens to be cleaned, and the cleaning unit is equipped with a roller / roller arrangement in which at least one pair of rollers with rotatable cleaning rollers which can be arranged on both sides of the insect screen can be brought into contact with the fabric of the insect screen, wherein the cleaning rollers of the pair of rollers rotate in opposite directions with respect to the insect screen against which they can be brought into contact, thereby preventing displacement of threads of the insect screen, wherein the conveyor device comprises spring-loaded rubber / polyurethane-coated rollers, which are connected to each other by chains or toothed belts and driven by an electric motor, whereby the rollers are adaptable to different frame thicknesses of the insect screens clamped in the frames and accommodate mounting elements of the frames.
[0016] EP 2 071 995 A2 discloses a method for cleaning contoured roller conveyors of sun protection systems, such as roller blinds made of textile or plastic. For this purpose, the blind is rolled up onto a winding shaft and guided vertically upwards to a pull roller. The blind thus runs vertically in the cleaning system. Two counter-rotating brushes, whose bristles overlap, are arranged vertically between the winding shaft and the pull roller.
[0017] Finally, RU 2 444 189 C2 considers a simple method for cleaning insect nets, but also fishing nets, using a hand-held "carpet beater".
[0018] Based on the above-mentioned state of the art, the problem arises that, particularly for fly screens clamped in frames, no cleaning method or cleaning device is previously known with which a large number of insect screen frames can be cleaned cost-effectively, quickly and gently.
[0019] The invention is therefore based on the object of providing a mobile or stationary cleaning device for insect screens clamped or held in frames, which avoids the aforementioned disadvantages of the prior art and automatically and gently removes deposits of foreign particles, such as dust, dirt particles, and insect debris, thus ensuring a high level of cleanliness and longevity of the insect screens. Furthermore, the object of the invention is to propose a cleaning device that cleans insect screens in a hygienically impeccable and environmentally friendly process.
[0020] This object is achieved according to the invention with the features specified in claim 1. Advantageous embodiments and improvements of the inventive
[0021] Cleaning device are specified in further claims and in the description.
[0022] The cleaning device according to the invention for insect screens, which are mounted on a frame that can be attached to a window or door, consists of a first conveyor device that automatically feeds the insect screens to be cleaned to a cleaning unit. The cleaning unit is equipped with nozzles for supplying and distributing cleaning fluid from a wash water tank onto the insect screens to be cleaned.
[0023] According to the invention, the cleaning unit is equipped with a roller / cylinder arrangement made up of at least two pairs of rollers mounted one behind the other to rotate and work in opposite directions, at least one of which pairs of rollers, formed from opposite rotating rollers arranged on both sides of the insect screen, comes into contact with the fabric of the insect screen in order to clean it. The cleaning rollers of the pair of rollers work in opposite directions with respect to the insect screen, against which they can be brought into contact during the cleaning process. Due to the opposite rotation, no tensile or compressive load is applied to the screen, so that no forces act on the mesh and damage is avoided. The rollers advantageously rotate in a speed range of 60 to 120 rpm.According to the invention, the conveyor device comprises spring-loaded rubber / polyurethane-coated rollers which are connected to one another by chains or toothed belts and are driven by an electric motor, wherein the required contact pressure for driving the insect screen is provided by the spring-loaded rubber / polyurethane-coated rollers, wherein the spring-loaded rubber / polyurethane-coated rollers are adaptable to different frame thicknesses of the insect screens clamped in frames and accommodate mounting elements of the frames.
[0024] In the cleaning device according to the invention, the roller / roller arrangement is constructed from at least two pairs of counter-rotating rollers mounted one behind the other or opposite one another, which are in contact with the fabric of the insect screen during the cleaning process.
[0025] Each pair of rollers is formed from two opposite cleaning rollers / rollers arranged on both sides of the insect screen, each of which is arranged on a rotatably mounted axis and is advantageously constructed from partially replaceable segments, preferably from soft round brushes, in particular short-haired round brushes.
[0026] Each cleaning roller can have two or more segments, ie partial rollers, which are arranged adjacently on a common axis of rotation. The segments of the roller pairs can consist of individual cleaning rollers or roller segments, which
[0027] They can be easily replaced selectively in the event of damage or wear. This makes it possible to enlarge or reduce the cleaning surface of a cleaning roller or roller pair as needed by removing or adding roller segments or a partial roller. Each roller pair, in particular each cleaning roller, can be driven separately in terms of its speed and direction of rotation, continuously and continuously by means of a control unit and connected, preferably four, separately controllable roller drives. This allows the cleaning performance to be adjusted depending on the degree of soiling, and the cleaning speed to be varied.
[0028] Distance adjustment devices are also provided, allowing the distance between the pairs of rollers to be adjusted to suit the frame dimensions of the insect screen to be cleaned.
[0029] The cleaning unit advantageously cooperates with a second conveyor system, which transports the insect screen cleaned in the cleaning unit through a rinsing unit to a drying unit. The rinsing unit is equipped with additional nozzles for supplying fresh water from a fresh water tank.
[0030] The drying unit removes the liquid adhering to the insect screen using one or more integrated air nozzles. Particularly in a mobile version of the cleaning device according to the invention, arranging the nozzles on both sides of the screen is not always practical due to the high energy requirements. Therefore, a special arrangement or design of the drying unit's air nozzles as air knives blows the liquid adhering to the insect screen from the mesh on one side. The air nozzles form a very narrow air curtain with a high flow velocity. The required air volume is directed at a defined pressure through the air nozzle, which has a long and narrow slit, thus creating a precise air curtain with a consistently high speed.
[0031] In one embodiment of the cleaning device according to the invention, the cleaning unit can also be equipped with a blasting device for CO2 snow blasting using the compressed air blasting method instead of nozzles for the cleaning fluid, which uses carbon dioxide as the blasting agent. The blasting agent, preferably liquid CO2, is supplied via a continuous blasting agent supply, for example, from a low-pressure CO2 tank.
[0032] A heating device, e.g. a continuous flow heater, can be provided to heat the cleaning liquid and / or the fresh water in order to improve the chemical cleaning effect through heat.
[0033] The drying unit works together with another conveyor system, which places or stacks the cleaned insect screens in a magazine.
[0034] The conveyor devices of the cleaning device according to the invention are advantageously designed so that the insect screens to be cleaned can be fed horizontally to the cleaning device. Alternatively, a vertical feed or an angled feed may also be possible; in this case, it may advantageously be possible to adjust the angular position of the insect screens as they pass through the cleaning device using a folding mechanism. Particularly in an encapsulated design, for example, when the cleaning device is installed in a container, a vertical or angled feed of the insect screens can be advantageous due to the limited installation height.
[0035] The insect screens are conveyed through the system on driven rubber / polyurethane-coated rollers. These are connected to each other by chains or toothed belts and driven by an electric motor. The necessary clamping force for moving the screens is provided by spring-loaded brush rollers. These can adapt to different frame thicknesses and accommodate the mounting elements of the screen frames.
[0036] In one embodiment of the conveyor systems according to the invention, the conveyor belts have a profile, with a flat guide belt with a soft Porol coating provided on the inside of the grid. This guide belt is pneumatically pressed against a likewise profiled counterbelt of the conveyor system. The profile holds the grid in position during the washing process.
[0037] In further advantageous embodiments, the insect screens to be cleaned are guided through the cleaning device either vertically or at an angle. The required angle of the corresponding conveyor devices can be adjusted to accommodate the insect screens to be cleaned to different sizes and to the cleaning mechanism, especially when the cleaning device is enclosed in a container with a ceiling.
[0038] Advantageously, a second conveyor device can also be provided, consisting of a discharge belt and a cross conveyor belt with guide rails. The discharge belt feeds the cleaned insect screens to the guide rails of the cross conveyor belt, thus ensuring that several insect screens can be automatically deposited one after the other in the magazine in the cleaning device, and the magazine with the cleaned insect screens is ready for removal.
[0039] In a preferred embodiment, a further conveyor device can be included, which deposits the cleaned insect screens in a magazine. Thus, cleaned insect screens can be stored in a magazine, so that an operator only has to worry about loading the insect screens, but not about storing them after they have passed through the cleaning device. Only when the magazine is full does it need to be emptied. The magazine can consist of a conveyor belt with a storage facility for a plurality of insect screens, which are stored perpendicularly and parallel to one another, with the conveyor belt running transversely to the discharge direction of the cleaning unit.
[0040] In a further preferred embodiment, the rinsing unit of the cleaning device is equipped with or connected to a filter system including a water treatment tank, which filters the cleaning and rinsing fluid flowing from the insect screens after they have passed through the cleaning unit and feeds it back into a new cleaning process, preferably a pre-rinse. The filter system automatically cleans the wash water via a maintenance-free backwash filter with an integrated filter controller.
[0041] In the cleaning unit, the insect screen to be cleaned is advantageously removed in just one cleaning step in the cleaning unit by means of the roller / cylinder arrangement in a simple and gentle manner on the fabric of the insect screen, even stubborn dirt such as adhering insects and grease and oil contamination.
[0042] The advantages achievable with the cleaning device according to the invention are further based on the fact that the grilles, which are detachably mounted in the removable frames in front of windows and can be removed without major assembly effort, are reusable after passing through the cleaning device. By using the cleaning fluid, which is, for example, a biodegradable cleaning concentrate dissolved in water, even grease and oil contamination can be easily removed in an environmentally friendly process. The biodegradable cleaning concentrate can either be discharged directly into the sewer system or recycled or collected for additional cleaning, thus eliminating the need for a wastewater connection.
[0043] In particular, the design of the cleaning device as a compact, easy-to-use mobile or stationary version enables long-term use, for example, in the form of service contracts for large properties. Regular and automated cleaning of the removed insect screens using the cleaning device according to the invention ensures the longevity, hygiene, and proper functioning of the insect screen, thereby providing added value for the user and living comfort and preserving the value of the property.
[0044] Preferably, the mobile version of the cleaning device, including the units for water treatment, rinsing and drying, as well as the tanks for washing, fresh and waste water, is mounted in a car or truck trailer or a flatbed.
[0045] The stationary version of the cleaning device is designed so that it is housed, for example, in a container, which can be loaded onto a truck or attached to a car on a trailer and transported to the site.
[0046] The cleaning system according to the invention is controlled by a control unit, for example, a control cabinet with an integrated PLC controller, which can be integrated into the vehicle trailer in the mobile version and into the container in the stationary version. A residual current monitor, a START button for automatic operation, and a safety module with an emergency stop function / emergency stop button complement the control unit.
[0047] For example, a touch screen display, preferably also a mobile smartphone or tablet application, is provided for the display of error and status messages, preferably in plain text format and for setting the cleaning parameters, such as the speed and direction of rotation of the respective roller pairs as well as the setting of the distance between the roller pairs according to the frame dimensions of the insect screen to be cleaned.
[0048] The invention as well as advantageous embodiments, improvements and further advantages of the invention will be explained and described in more detail with reference to the exemplary embodiments shown in the following figures.
[0049] They show: Fig. 1 an exemplary embodiment of the cleaning device according to the invention, Fig. 2 an exemplary cleaning unit of the cleaning device according to the invention, Fig. 3an example structure of a cleaning roller, Fig. 4 an exemplary block diagram for the functional principle of the water circuit of the cleaning device according to the invention, Fig. 5 an exemplary embodiment of a magazine for storing cleaned insect screens from the second conveyor, and Fig. 6 a further exemplary embodiment of the cleaning device according to the invention.
[0050] Like reference numerals denote like or alternative features of the invention. The individual features shown should be considered individually and can be usefully combined to form further embodiments.
[0051] Fig. 1shows an exemplary embodiment of the cleaning device according to the invention, which is intended for mobile use in a box trailer of a vehicle to carry out customer orders for cleaning insect screens clamped in frames directly on site. The insect screens consist of a transparent, light- and air-permeable fabric with high tear resistance, stretched over an aluminum frame profile.
[0052] In order to enable self-sufficient operation of the cleaning device according to the invention, all necessary aggregates and units for cleaning the insect screens are arranged in such a way that the cleaning of the insect screens is possible in an automatic continuous process and the cleaning device can be used for mobile use, for example on a vehicle.
[0053] The cleaning device according to the invention for the insect screens to be cleaned is constructed from a first conveyor device 10, which automatically feeds the insect screens to be cleaned to a cleaning unit 20.
[0054] In the version shown according to Fig. 1 The insect screens can be automatically guided through the cleaning system across the direction of travel of a vehicle trailer.
[0055] The cleaning unit 20 is equipped with one or more nozzles for supplying and distributing cleaning fluid to the insect screens and cleaning rollers to be cleaned.
[0056] The insect screens are cleaned by two pairs of rollers 21 arranged one behind the other, working in opposite directions. This ensures excellent cleaning performance and prevents the individual threads of the fabric from shifting. The distance between the cleaning rollers of the roller pairs 21 can be adjusted mechanically by hand. The opposing, counter-rotating rollers reduce the tensile and compressive load on the insect screens being cleaned and also prevent the fabric from tearing. According to the invention, the cleaning fluid is automatically cleaned or recycled via a maintenance-free backwash filter with an integrated filter controller.
[0057] After the insect screens have passed through the cleaning unit 20, the cleaned screen is rinsed in a rinsing unit 30 with fresh water provided from a fresh water tank.
[0058] The nozzles of the cleaning unit 20 and the rinsing unit 30 are designed as flat-jet nozzles, to which the cleaning fluid and fresh water can be supplied from the corresponding tanks via distribution pipes. Alternatively, conical jet nozzles can be used to distribute the cleaning fluid and are positioned at a greater distance from the insect screen to ensure widespread distribution.
[0059] A second conveyor device 31 transports the insect screen cleaned in the cleaning unit 20 through a rinsing unit 30 to a drying unit 40. The rinsing unit 30 is equipped with additional nozzles for supplying fresh water from a fresh water tank.
[0060] The drying unit 40 is configured to remove the liquid adhering to the insect screen using one or more integrated air nozzles 41, preferably using an air knife 41. The air knife 41 produces a very narrow air curtain with a high flow velocity, allowing the rinse water to be blown off the fabric of the insect screen on one side.
[0061] A further conveyor device 50 transports the cleaned insect screens to a magazine. In a preferred embodiment of the cleaning device according to the invention, the further conveyor device 50 is designed so that several screens can be cleaned one after the other before the magazine filled with the cleaned insect screens needs to be removed. For this purpose, after passing through the rinsing unit 30 and the drying unit 40, the cleaned insect screen is pushed by a discharge belt onto a cross conveyor belt with guide rails, which transports the cleaned insect screens upright, for example, parallel to a vehicle trailer, into the magazine 60. This ensures that the operator of the cleaning device only has to empty the cleaned screens when the magazine is completely full.
[0062] Fig. 2shows an exemplary cleaning unit 20 of the cleaning device according to the invention with a roller / roller arrangement 21 with a pair of rollers, wherein the counter-rotating cleaning rollers 211 of the roller pair 21 rest against the fabric of the insect screen 1. This ensures very good cleaning performance and prevents the individual threads of the fabric from shifting.
[0063] A modular brush system, preferably consisting of individual roller segments mounted on the cleaning rollers 211, in particular short-haired roller segments 213, is provided as the roller / roller assembly 21, which allows for quick brush changes. The roller segments preferably have a brush length of 50 mm to 100 mm, preferably 65 mm to 80 mm, in particular 77.5 mm.
[0064] An example of the structure of a cleaning roller 211 is shown in the Fig. 3The cleaning roller 211 is constructed from partial segments 213 and consists of individual partial rollers 213 slid onto an axle 212. These partial rollers 213 can be lengthened or shortened and individually replaced if necessary, allowing individual sections 213 of the cleaning rollers 211 to be easily and selectively replaced in the event of damage or wear to the roller segments 213. Furthermore, it is possible to adapt the cleaning surface of the cleaning roller 211 to the size of an insect screen 1 by adding or removing roller segments 213.
[0065] In the Fig. 4An exemplary block diagram of the functional principle of the water circuit of the cleaning device according to the invention is shown as a closed system with a tank 100 for fresh water, a tank 200 for the cleaning fluid or wash water, and a tank for wastewater 300. Alternatively, the wastewater tank 300 can be replaced if the wastewater is discharged directly into the sewer system. In this case, a water-soluble, biodegradable cleaning concentrate is added to the cleaning fluid.
[0066] The cleaning of the insect screens 1 takes place in an automatic continuous process, whereby the water in the washing water tank 200 is first heated and mixed with cleaning agent.
[0067] A first pump 110 pumps the wash water from the wash water tank 200 to the spray nozzles 210 of the cleaning unit 20, which wet and rinse the insect screen 1 to be cleaned and the cleaning roller 211 with the cleaning fluid. The cleaning fluid draining from the screen 1 is fed to a collecting tray with an integrated coarse filter 220 and is pre-filtered by the cleaning fluid provided from the wash water tank 200. The supply of the cleaning fluid for rinsing the coarse filter 220 is designated by reference numeral 221.
[0068] By means of a second pump 230, the water pre-cleaned by the coarse filter 220 is pumped through a backwash filter 240 and a fine filter 250 back into the wash water tank 200, where it can be used again for pre-rinsing. The filter system, consisting of the coarse filter 220, the second pump 230, the backwash filter 240, and the fine filter 250, cleans itself fully automatically. The backwash water from the backwash filter 240 is directed into a separate wastewater tank 300. This water is no longer used. If necessary, the coarse filter 220, which is provided in the form of a sieve, can be removed by hand and cleaned to remove coarse dirt. The fine filter 250 can be designed as a bag filter and can be replaced as needed, for example, after a specified number of cleaning cycles.
[0069] By means of a fresh water pump 310, fresh water from the fresh water tank 100 is supplied to the rinsing nozzles of the rinsing unit 30, which rinses the cleaned insect screen 1, which is automatically provided via the second conveying device 31, with fresh water.
[0070] The water used in the rinsing process is fed through another fine filter 350 to a collecting tray 360 for the rinsing water, which interacts with a pump 370 whose function is to pump the filtered rinsing water into the fresh water tank 310. Alternatively, the rinsing water can also be fed directly to the fresh water tank for reuse without a pump.
[0071] Fresh water is also supplied from the fresh water tank 100 to the wash water tank 200 via the fresh water pump 310 to replace the amount of wash water used for the backwash process. A small amount of water, typically up to 10 liters, is used in the backwash process, so an additional pump for the backwash process is not necessary.
[0072] In the Fig. 5 an exemplary embodiment of a magazine 60 for storing cleaned insect screens 1 from the second conveyor device 31 is shown.
[0073] To ensure that the cleaning device can be operated by one person, a device 60 is designed at the outlet of the second conveyor device 31, which device makes it possible to clean several screens 1 one after the other without further manual intervention before the device 60, which is designed as a magazine, for example, needs to be removed. For this purpose, the insect screen 1 is pushed by the discharge belt 31 onto the cross conveyor belt 61 with guide rails 62. The cross conveyor belt 61 can be deflected by a drive and a follower roller and moved in the conveying direction 63 and can optionally comprise several carrier rollers (not shown). This then cycles the cleaned insect screens 1, preferably upright and parallel, to a waiting vehicle trailer. This advantageously ensures that the operator of the cleaning device only has to remove the cleaned screens 1 when the magazine 60 is fully loaded. This allows a large number of insect screens 1 to be temporarily stored after cleaning in order to achieve high throughput and efficiency with a small number of operating personnel.
[0074] Fig. 6 shows a further exemplary embodiment of the cleaning unit 20 according to the invention, which enables fully automatic cleaning of the insect screens 1 in a continuous process. The basic structure of the cleaning unit 20 corresponds to that shown in the Fig. 2 The variant shown is similar, but the cleaning unit 20 is tilted at an angle of approximately 45° relative to the vertical. This allows for efficient use, particularly for relatively large insect screens or in container operations with low ceiling heights. The collection and drainage of the cleaning fluid used, which can flow along an angled guide track, is also simplified. List of reference symbols
