Description

[0001] The invention relates to a hinge for the frame of an insect protection device, wherein the hinge has a first hinge element and a second hinge element which are hingedly connected to one another, and wherein the hinge is designed to form a frame element of the frame of the insect protection device.

[0002] The invention also relates to a frame and an insect screen with such a hinge.

[0003] DE 20 2010 013 558 U1 discloses a hinge for pivotably connecting an insect or pollen screen to a door frame. The hinge comprises a first hinge part that can be fixed to the screen side and a second hinge part that can be fixed to the frame side and is pivotally connected to the first hinge part. The first hinge part is screwed to a profile frame that supports an insect screen. The hinge also has a clamping leg, which is held on the second hinge part at an adjustable clamping distance, for clamping the second hinge part to the door frame.

[0004] DE 10 2014 016 508 A1 discloses a frame system for a particle protection grille, in particular an insect screen window or an insect screen door. The frame is composed of several profile strips that are firmly connected to one another by means of profile connectors.

[0005] AT 511 897 A1 discloses a pivoting frame hinge for insect screens. The hinge is designed so that it pivots into a profile groove, depending on the position, via a hook-shaped design, perpendicular to the profile axis, in a designated profile channel, secured against lateral displacement, and can be inserted and secured with a screw.

[0006] AT 511 834 A4 discloses an insect screen swing door locking system. The insect screen can be pivotally mounted on a door frame. The insect screen has a frame that supports an insect screen and can be attached to a door frame by means of swing hinges.

[0007] US 6,659,155 B1 discloses a bidirectionally swinging insect screen door that is connected to a door frame by means of pendulum hinges. Each of the pendulum hinges consists of a first hinge part, concealed within the frame of the insect screen door, and a second hinge part, separate from the frame, which is attached in a corner of the door frame in its groove surrounding the front. Such a design is complicated, not very compact, and particularly unsuitable for retrofitting, particularly due to the hinge parts that protrude beyond the frame.

[0008] DE 20 2006 020 221 U1 discloses a fly screen frame composed of frame connectors and profiles. In one embodiment, a hinge element is arranged protrudingly on the fly screen frame. The hinge element forms a hinge with a hinge body that is not part of the frame, by means of which the frame can be secured in an articulated manner, for example, to a building opening.

[0009] The devices known from the prior art have the disadvantage that they cannot be used at all or only to a limited extent in confined spaces, for example in very narrow blind or block frames, due to the usually protruding hinge.

[0010] It is therefore the object of the present invention to provide a hinge which can be used in particular in confined spaces.

[0011] The object is achieved by a hinge which is characterized in that the first hinge element and the second hinge element can be transferred relative to one another selectively into an open position or a closed position, wherein the second hinge element is designed to be fastened to a blind or block frame of a window or door in a form-fitting and / or material-fitting manner, in particular to be screwed or glued, and wherein the first hinge element has a receptacle which receives the second hinge element completely and in a form-fitting manner in the closed position.

[0012] The invention has the very special advantage that, by means of the hinge according to the invention, a frame can be formed that does not require any protruding hinge components. Alternatively, such a frame of an insect protection device can also be designed according to claim 15.

[0013] This particularly advantageously ensures that a frame designed in this way can be used even in very confined spaces, for example, with a very narrow blind or block frame. This is especially true without the risk of hinge components coming into spatial conflict with the door or window reveal.

[0014] Furthermore, the hinge according to the invention can advantageously be designed in a simple manner so that it is extremely easy to clean. This is particularly true because, due to the fact that no protruding hinge components are required, there are no hard-to-reach gaps or hidden areas that cannot be cleaned at all or can only be cleaned with great difficulty. Rather, a frame manufactured using the hinge according to the invention can be cleaned in the area of the hinge largely just as easily as the other areas of the frame.

[0015] The frame element formed by the hinge can, for example, be a corner element. In particular, it can advantageously be provided that the frame element has two legs arranged perpendicular to one another in order to be able to form a component of a rectangular frame. For example, it is possible to form a frame with two corner elements according to the invention and two further corner elements that do not have a hinge function, wherein the corner elements are connected by means of further, straight frame elements. Preferably, two of the corner elements are formed by a hinge according to the invention, wherein the pivot axes are preferably aligned with one another.

[0016] For example, it is also possible to form a frame exclusively from, in particular, four, corner elements. For this purpose, the legs of the corner elements are each sufficiently long and connected directly to a leg of another corner element, in particular flush. Preferably, two of the corner elements are each formed by a hinge according to the invention, with the pivot axes preferably aligned with one another.

[0017] Alternatively, the hinge can also be designed as a straight frame element. For example, it is possible to use such a straight frame element to produce a pivoting frame with at least one integrated hinge, whereby three additional straight frame elements that do not have a hinge function can be connected by means of matching corner elements that also do not have a hinge function.

[0018] For example, it is also possible to form a frame exclusively from straight frame elements that are directly connected to one another at the corners. In this case, it can be advantageously provided that the hinge is designed as a straight frame element and, in addition to the second hinge element, which is hingedly connected to the first hinge element, also has a third hinge element, which is also hingedly connected to the first hinge element, with the hinge axes preferably being aligned with one another.

[0019] In a particular embodiment, the frame element is a T-shaped frame element. In general, it can advantageously be provided that the frame element has three legs. In particular, the frame element can have three legs, of which a first and a second leg are at an angle of 180 degrees to one another and the third leg is arranged perpendicular to the first and the second leg. A frame element designed in this way preferably has three coupling sections for mechanically connecting to other frame elements. Such a frame element, in particular a T-shaped one, can be used in particular as a center piece for the vertical side parts of frames which include a center web, in particular a horizontal one. The center web is particularly suitable for frames for insect screens which are door-height in order to achieve sufficient stability in the center region.

[0020] In general, it can advantageously be provided that the hinge has a third hinge element that is pivotally connected to the first hinge element, with the pivot axes preferably aligned with one another. In particular, it can also advantageously be provided that the first hinge element and the third hinge element can be selectively moved relative to one another into an open position or a closed position.

[0021] The first hinge element can, in particular in addition to the receptacle for the second hinge element, have a further receptacle that accommodates the third hinge element in the closed position, in particular completely and / or in a form-fitting manner. Such a design is particularly robust and particularly compact.

[0022] In a special design, the first hinge element and the third hinge element can be detached from each other non-destructively and / or without the use of tools. This makes it possible, for example, to temporarily remove a screwed-on frame (apart from the second hinge elements) without having to loosen the fastening screws that secure the third hinge element.

[0023] In a particularly advantageous embodiment, the hinge has two coupling sections for mechanical connection to additional frame elements. The coupling sections can, in particular, be designed and intended to interact with a complementary mating plug element of another frame element. For example, at least one of the coupling sections can have at least one plug element, in particular a groove or a tongue.

[0024] In a particularly advantageous embodiment, at least one of the coupling sections has a collar designed to cover the end section of a further frame element connected to the frame element. In particular, it can advantageously be provided that at least one of the coupling sections has a collar designed to cover the end section of a further frame element connected to the frame element, regardless of the insertion depth. Such a design has the particular advantage that, for example, a further frame element that has been cut crookedly or a frame element that has not been cut to exactly the correct length can still be used without this being noticeable from the outside. The collar can, however, not necessarily have to be completely circumferential.

[0025] The collar can, for example, be formed solely by the first or second hinge element. It is also possible for the first hinge element and the second hinge element, particularly in the closed position, to jointly form the collar, particularly a completely circumferential one.

[0026] In a special design, the two coupling sections are identical. This makes it possible, for example, to create a frame with corner elements that only have tongues, while the corner elements are connected to each other with straight frame elements that only have grooves.

[0027] However, it is also possible to design the two coupling sections differently, particularly with complementary shapes. Such a design has the particular advantage, for example, that a frame can be formed exclusively from such corner elements or exclusively from such straight frame elements.

[0028] The hinge is designed as a film hinge in a cost-effective version.

[0029] In another embodiment, the first hinge element and the second hinge element are hingedly connected to one another by means of at least one hinge pin.

[0030] Regardless of the type of design of the articulated connection, the first hinge element and the second hinge element can be moved relative to one another either into an open position or a closed position.

[0031] According to the invention, the first hinge element has a receptacle that completely and positively accommodates the second hinge element in the closed position. The receptacle can be designed, for example, as a recess, cutout, groove, or rebate.

[0032] In a special design, the first hinge element and the second hinge element can be detached from each other non-destructively and / or without the use of tools. This makes it possible, for example, to temporarily remove a screwed-on frame without having to loosen the fastening screws that secure the second hinge elements.

[0033] In a design that is easy to manufacture and particularly robust, the hinge has a rectangular outer contour in at least one partial cross-section.

[0034] In particular, to form a frame with a uniform outer contour, it can advantageously be provided that the hinge has the same thickness throughout in the closed position. Alternatively or additionally, it can advantageously be provided that the hinge, in particular in the closed position, has a flat rear surface and / or a flat front surface and / or at least one flat end surface.

[0035] The hinge can advantageously be flat. In particular, it can advantageously be provided that the hinge has a thickness that is smaller than its length and smaller than its width.

[0036] In a particular embodiment, the hinge has a first section in which only the first hinge element is present, and a second section in which, in the closed position, both the first hinge element and the second hinge element are present. With a view to achieving a uniform outer contour, it can advantageously be provided, in particular, that the hinge, in the closed position, has the same outer contour in cross-section in the first section as in the second section.

[0037] Particularly with regard to use in confined spaces, it can be advantageously provided that the hinge is free of protruding elevations or projections in the closed position.

[0038] As already mentioned, the hinge is designed to be part of a frame of an insect protection device and / or to form a frame for an insect protection device together with other frame elements.

[0039] In a particularly advantageous embodiment, the hinge is designed and intended to be visible from the outside as part of a frame. The hinge preferably has the same shape and / or size in cross-section as the profile parts with which it is connected to form a frame or which it connects to a frame. In particular - alternatively or additionally - it can advantageously be provided that the hinge has the same color and / or the same surface structure as the profile parts with which it is connected to form a frame or which it connects to a frame. It can also advantageously be provided - alternatively or additionally - that the hinge is made of the same material as the profile parts with which it is connected to form a frame or which it connects to a frame. In particular, in this way it can be advantageously achieved that a frame of uniform design can be formed by means of the hinge according to the invention, which frame in particular (at least when the hinge is closed) has no protruding components.

[0040] It is intended that the hinge is designed and intended to form, together with other frame elements, a frame without protruding hinge components.

[0041] In a very special embodiment, the hinge is - alternatively or additionally - designed and intended to form, together with other frame elements, a closed frame in such a way that a gap would arise in the frame if the hinge were removed.

[0042] Preferably, the hinge is not designed or intended to be installed in an invisibly and / or concealed manner (apart from coupling elements, in particular plug-in elements that serve to connect to a frame element). Non-concealed installation has the advantage that the hinge can fulfill its dual function, namely, on the one hand, to be a component of the frame and, to that extent, to at least partially form a frame section, in particular one that is visible from the outside, which would otherwise have to be formed by another frame element (e.g., a pure profile part), and, on the other hand, to provide a hinge function. In this way, a very compact, particularly flat frame can be produced.

[0043] Of particular advantage is a frame which has at least one hinge according to the invention.

[0044] For the purposes of the present application, a frame is understood to mean, in particular but not exclusively, a frame for a thin, flat object, such as a pane of glass, a transparent pane, a blind, an insect screen, a canvas or a picture.

[0045] In particular, the frame according to the invention can be designed as a frame for forming a pivotable door leaf or window leaf, or can be part of a pivotable door leaf or window leaf. In particular, the frame can be designed as the frame of an insect screen door or an insect screen window. Alternatively or additionally, it is also possible for the frame to be designed as part of a door-like leaf or window-like leaf, which is designed and intended to be attached (for example, as an insect screen) in front of an existing door, such as a balcony door or patio door, or in front of a window (especially subsequently).

[0046] In particular, it can advantageously be provided that the frame has two pairs of parallel frame sections. Alternatively or additionally, it can also be provided that the frame has several frame sections, with adjacent frame sections being arranged perpendicular to one another.

[0047] The frame can, for example, have four corner elements that are connected to one another by straight frame elements. In particular, it can advantageously be provided that two of the four corner elements are formed by hinges according to the invention.

[0048] In a special design, the frame is mirror-symmetrical when at least one hinge is closed. This design has the particular advantage that the frame can be used with either a left-hinged or right-hinged hinge without requiring extensive modifications.

[0049] In the closed position of at least one hinge, the frame has no hinge components that protrude beyond the outer contour of the frame elements, or only slightly so. Such a design is particularly versatile in tight installation spaces.

[0050] Of particular advantage is an insect protection device which includes such a frame or at least a hinge according to the invention.

[0051] Particularly advantageous is an insect protection device which has a frame with at least one hinge according to the invention, wherein the frame carries an insect protection screen or encloses an insect protection screen or wherein an insect protection screen is stretched on or over the frame.

[0052] The insect protection device can, in particular, be designed and intended to be attached to a frame or block of a window or door. This can be done, in particular, by the second hinge element (and, if present, a third hinge element) being connected to the frame or block in a form-fitting and / or material-fitting manner, in particular by being screwed or glued to the frame or block.

[0053] In a particularly advantageous embodiment, it is provided that the insect protection device, in particular the frame element or the further frame element, has a fastening device for fastening the frame to a blind or block frame of a window or door, which has an anchoring section which is designed and intended to be fastened, in particular screwed, to the front side of a blind or block frame in such a way that the anchoring section is arranged in the space between the window or door sash and a blind or block frame of the window or door when the window or door is closed. In particular, it is preferably provided that the fastening device is designed in such a way that it does not hinder the opening and closing of the window.

[0054] The fastening device has the very special advantage of enabling secure, resilient, and reliable fastening, while avoiding any visible damage to the window or door from the outside or inside. In particular, it is not necessary to screw fastening screws into the frame or block from the outside or inside, or to drill into the frame or block from the outside or inside. Rather, the invention has the special advantage that the inside and outside of the frame or block remain completely undamaged.

[0055] This fastening device takes advantage of the fact that it is not a problem for the vast majority of users to screw screws into the front outer circumference of the frame or block frame, because fastening screws arranged in these areas and the associated damage are not visible when the window or door is closed and are not perceived as disturbing when the window or door is open.

[0056] The subject matter of the invention is illustrated schematically and by way of example in the drawing and is described below with reference to the figures, wherein identical or similarly acting elements are generally provided with the same reference numerals even in different embodiments. In the drawings: Fig. 1 shows an embodiment of a hinge according to the invention in a perspective view in an open position, Fig. 2 shows the embodiment of a hinge according to the invention in a perspective view in the closed position, Fig. 3 shows the embodiment of a hinge according to the invention in a perspective view in the closed position, with a hinge element shown transparently, Fig. 4 shows the embodiment of a hinge according to the invention in a perspective, transparent view in the closed position, Fig. 5 shows a first embodiment of a frame containing embodiments of hinges according to the invention, Fig. 6 shows an embodiment of an insect protection device with a frame containing embodiments of hinges according to the invention and which carries an insect protection grid, Fig.Fig. 7 shows an embodiment of an insect protection device according to the invention mounted on a window, Fig. 8 shows a second embodiment of a hinge according to the invention in a cross-sectional view, Fig. 9 shows a detail of the further embodiment, Fig. 10 shows a third embodiment of a hinge according to the invention in a perspective view, Fig. 11 shows a detailed view of a further embodiment of an insect protection device, Fig. 12 shows a fourth embodiment of a hinge according to the invention in a perspective view, Fig. 13 shows a fifth embodiment of a hinge according to the invention in a perspective view, and Fig. 14 shows a second embodiment of a frame which contains embodiments of hinges according to the invention.

[0057] Figure 1shows an embodiment of a hinge 1 according to the invention, which has a first hinge element 2 and a second hinge element 3, which are connected to one another in an articulated manner.

[0058] The first hinge element 2 and the second hinge element 3 can be moved relative to each other selectively into an open position as shown in Figure 1 shown, or a closed position as shown in the Figures 2 and 3 shown.

[0059] The first hinge element 2 has a receptacle 4 which receives the second hinge element 3 in the closed position. As the Figures 2 and 3As shown, this advantageously ensures that the hinge 1, designed as a corner element, has no protruding hinge components in the closed position. This makes it possible, in particular, to use a frame formed with such a hinge 1 even in confined spaces, especially in very narrow blind or block frames of windows or doors.

[0060] The first hinge element 2 has, in the region of the receptacle 4, a projection 5 directed towards the second hinge element 3, which has a (only in the Figure 3 shown) hinge pin 6. The hinge pin 6 projects into two adjacent projections 7 of the second hinge element 3, so that the articulated connection is formed by means of the projection 5 of the first hinge element 2, the projections 7 of the second hinge element 3 and by means of the hinge pin 6.

[0061] The second hinge element 3 has through holes 8 which allow the hinge 1 to be mounted, for example, on a blind or block frame of a window or door by means of fastening screws.

[0062] The hinge 1 has two legs 9, 10 arranged perpendicular to each other. Each of the legs has a coupling section 11, 12 for mechanically connecting the hinge 1, which is designed as a frame element, to further frame elements 20. In this embodiment, the coupling sections 11, 12 each have a protruding tongue 13, 14, which is intended to be inserted into a complementary groove 25 of a further frame element 20, which in Figure 4 is shown.

[0063] In the closed position, the hinge 1 has the same thickness throughout and is flat. Furthermore, the hinge has a flat front surface 15 and flat end surfaces 16. In the closed position, the rear surface 17 is also flat.

[0064] Figure 5 shows an embodiment of a frame 18 having two hinges 1 according to the invention, designed as frame elements, namely as corner elements. The frame 18 also has two further corner elements 19 that do not have a hinge function. The hinges 1 and the further corner elements 19 are connected to one another by means of further frame elements 20, which are designed as straight frame elements and do not have a hinge function.

[0065] Figure 6 shows an embodiment of an insect protection device which Figure 5 shown frame 18. The frame 18 carries an insect screen 21.

[0066] The insect protection device 22 can in particular be attached to a blind or block frame of a window or a door and can be pivoted into an open position by the hinge function of the hinges 1 when required, for example when a person wants to step through the door.

[0067] Magnets 23 are integrated into the frame 18's additional corner elements 19. These magnets are designed to interact with other magnets of the blind or block frame to hold the insect screen 22 in the closed position. To pivot the insect screen 22 into an open position, the user simply needs to overcome the magnetic force and can then pivot the insect screen 22 freely.

[0068] Figure 7 shows an example of the insect protection device 22 attached to a blind or block frame 24 of a window in the closed position.

[0069] Fig. 8shows a third embodiment of a hinge 1 according to the invention in a cross-sectional view. In this embodiment, both coupling sections 11, 12 each have a collar 27 which is intended to cover the end section of a further frame element 20 connected to the hinge 1 designed as a corner element. This design has the particular advantage that, for example, a further frame element 20 that has been cut crookedly or a frame element 20 that has not been cut to exactly the correct length can still be used without this being noticeable from the outside. A further frame element 20 that has been cut too long can be pushed in further in order to achieve the correct frame dimension, while a further frame element 20 that has been cut too short can be pushed in less far in order to achieve the correct frame dimension.

[0070] Fig. 9shows in a detailed cross-sectional view the arrangement of an inserted further frame element 20 relative to the hinge 1.

[0071] Fig. 10 shows a third embodiment of a hinge 1 according to the invention in a perspective view. This embodiment differs from the one shown in Figure 1 illustrated embodiment by a third hinge element 26, which is arranged to be movable relative to the first hinge element 1 in the same way as the second hinge element 3.

[0072] Fig. 11shows a detailed view of a further embodiment of an insect protection device 22, which has a frame 18 with corner elements 19 designed as hinges 1 and further frame elements 20. The insect protection device 22 has a fastening device 27 for fastening the frame 18 to a blind or block frame 28 of a window or door, which has an anchoring section 29 which is designed and intended to be fastened to the front side of a blind or block frame, in particular screwed by means of at least one fastening screw 30, in such a way that the anchoring section 29 is arranged in the space between the window or door sash 31 and the blind or block frame 28 of the window or door when the window or door is closed. The fastening device 27 is designed such that it does not hinder the opening and closing of the window.

[0073] Fig. 12 shows a fourth embodiment of a hinge 1 according to the invention in a perspective view from the rear. In this embodiment, the first hinge element 2 has a cavity 31 that is closed toward the front. The second hinge element 3, which is pivotally connected to the first hinge element 2, forms a cover in this embodiment that covers the cavity when the hinge 1 is in the closed position.

[0074] The second hinge element 3 has through holes 8 which allow the hinge 1 to be mounted, for example, on a blind or block frame of a window or door by means of fastening screws.

[0075] Figure 13shows a fifth embodiment of a hinge 1 according to the invention in a perspective view. The hinge is designed as a T-shaped frame element 34 and has three legs. In particular, the frame element can have three legs 9, 10, 33, of which a first and a second leg 10, 33 are at an angle of 180 degrees to one another, and the third leg 13 is arranged perpendicular to the first and the second leg 10, 33. The hinge 1 designed as a T-shaped frame element has three coupling sections for mechanically connecting to further frame elements 20.

[0076] The frame element can be used in particular as a center piece for the vertical side parts of frames which include a center bar, in particular a horizontal one.

[0077] Figure 14shows an embodiment of such a frame, which can be used in particular for an insect protection device. The legs 9, 10, 33 of the T-shaped frame elements 34 are connected to further frame elements 20 by means of their coupling sections. One of the further frame elements forms a horizontally extending central web 35. List of reference symbols:
