Description

[0001] The present invention relates to a device for mounting a toilet to a wall and to a toilet assembly with a corresponding device. With such devices, toilets and cisterns for holding flushing fluid can be securely mounted to the wall. Devices for mounting a toilet are known, for example, from German patent applications DE102015111423A1, EP1703030A2 and DE102013203941A1.

[0002] Known toilet mounting devices feature a mounting frame to which the toilet and cistern can be attached using a variety of fasteners such as threaded rods, screws, and / or nuts. In addition to standard toilets, so-called shower toilets with an integrated bidet function are also available. These shower toilets may include motorized spray arms that direct a jet of water onto the user's lower abdomen. These spray arms typically require an additional water supply and / or electrical connections for a motor. However, arranging the necessary water and / or electrical connections on known wall-mounted toilet mounting devices has proven challenging due to insufficient installation space. Furthermore, such devices often require significant installation effort.

[0003] The object of the invention is therefore to at least partially solve the problems described with reference to the prior art and, in particular, to provide a device with which toilets can be mounted on a wall with less installation effort. Furthermore, a toilet arrangement is also to be proposed that enables the mounting of a toilet on a wall with minimal installation effort.

[0004] These problems are solved with a device and a toilet arrangement according to the features of the independent claims. Further advantageous embodiments of the invention are specified in the dependent claims. It should be noted that the features listed individually in the claims can be combined with one another in any technologically meaningful way and define further embodiments of the invention. Furthermore, the features specified in the claims are further specified and explained in the description, which also presents further preferred embodiments of the invention.

[0005] This is achieved by a device for fixing a toilet to a wall, which has a mounting frame with at least one mounting crossbar, wherein the mounting crossbar comprises a mounting surface to which the toilet can be fixed by means of at least one fastening element, wherein the mounting surface of the device is arranged such that a mounting space can be formed between the mounting surface and a cover of the device or between the mounting surface and the toilet.

[0006] The device is used to mount a toilet to a wall. Such devices allow toilets to be mounted, particularly on lightweight walls that are unsuitable for direct mounting of the toilet bowl. Furthermore, the device can be used to mount a cistern to the wall, which holds the toilet's flushing fluid. For this purpose, the device includes a mounting frame, which typically comprises several metal profiles. The mounting frame may, for example, have a first vertical metal profile and a second vertical metal profile connected by a (horizontal) upper crossbar and a (horizontal) lower crossbar. The mounting frame may also have feet, allowing its height to be adjusted.

[0007] Furthermore, the mounting frame has at least one mounting bracket with a mounting surface to which the toilet can be attached by means of at least one fastening element. The mounting bracket preferably consists at least partially of metal, in particular sheet metal with a thickness of 1 mm to 5 mm, preferably (essentially) 2 mm. The mounting bracket is preferably arranged (horizontally) between the first vertical metal profile and the second vertical metal profile of the mounting frame. Furthermore, the mounting bracket can be attached to the mounting frame by friction and / or form-fitting means. The mounting surface of the mounting bracket is a region of the mounting bracket in which at least one bore or threaded hole for the at least one fastening element of the toilet is arranged. After the device is attached to the wall, the mounting surface preferably runs (essentially) parallel to the wall. The at least one fastening element is, for example, a threaded rod, a fixing bolt, or a screw. This at least one fastening element can be screwed into the at least one hole or threaded hole in the mounting surface of the mounting bracket and / or secured by means of at least one nut. The toilet can thus be mounted to the mounting bracket of the device by means of this at least one fastening element.

[0008] The mounting surface of the mounting bracket is arranged such that an installation space can be created between the mounting surface and a cover for the device or between the mounting surface and the toilet. The cover can be, for example, at least one panel and / or tile that conceals the device (invisibly) when installed. Thus, there is preferably no direct contact between the mounting surface and the cover or the toilet when the device is installed. The installation space thus gained can be used, in particular, for at least one electrical connection cable and / or a flushing water line of a shower toilet, thereby reducing the installation effort for such toilets. The installation space preferably has a volume of at least 100 cubic centimeters and can, for example, range from 600 to 3,000 cubic centimeters.

[0009] The mounting surface may be recessed relative to the front face of the mounting frame. This means that the mounting surface is not flush with the front face of the mounting frame. The front face of the mounting frame is specifically the surface defined by those surfaces of the metal profiles and / or crossbars that face away from the wall when the device is mounted. When the device is mounted, the mounting surface is offset relative to the front face of the mounting frame, towards the wall. The offset between the front face and the mounting surface can range from, for example, 10 mm to 100 mm.This creates the mounting space in the mounting frame, in particular between the first vertical metal profile and the second vertical metal profile, which, in the mounted state of the device, is located between the mounting surface and the cover of the device or between the mounting surface and the toilet.

[0010] The mounting bracket can have a U-shaped cross-section. The cross-section of the mounting bracket can be hat-shaped.

[0011] The mounting bracket can have at least one contact surface for a cover of the device, wherein the contact surface and the at least one contact surface are spaced apart from each other. The at least one contact surface of the mounting bracket runs, in particular, parallel to the mounting surface of the mounting bracket and / or parallel to the front face of the mounting frame. The distance (horizontal when the device is mounted) between the mounting surface and the at least one contact surface can be, for example, 10 mm to 100 mm.

[0012] The mounting bracket can have at least one groove. Preferably, the mounting bracket has a first groove at its first longitudinal end and a second groove at its second longitudinal end. The at least one groove is, in particular, a channel-shaped depression in the mounting bracket, the depth of which decreases, especially towards the first longitudinal end and / or the second longitudinal end of the mounting bracket (in a horizontal direction when the device is mounted). The at least one groove increases the stiffness of the mounting bracket.

[0013] The device further comprises a junction box with at least one interior space for an electrically conductive element, wherein the at least one interior space can be sealed liquid-tight from the environment. The junction box is made, in particular, at least partially of plastic and / or metal. At least one electrically conductive element, such as an electrical connection cable, a plug of an electrical connection cable, or a transformer, can be arranged in the at least one interior space. Furthermore, a fan can also be arranged in the at least one interior space. Before the installation of a toilet, the at least one interior space can be open in at least one direction. The opening of the at least one interior space can be closed by the toilet after its installation, so that the at least one interior space is sealed from the environment.Furthermore, at least one interior space may have additional openings through which connecting lines, such as electrical and / or water lines, can be routed. These openings may be sealed to prevent liquids from entering at least one interior space. Additionally, a flushing water line for the bidet function of a shower toilet, a flushing water line for the toilet, and / or a wastewater line for the toilet may be routed through the connection box, with at least one interior space also being liquid-tight against these lines. The connection box may also have a T-shaped base.

[0014] The connection box is attached to the mounting bracket. If the connection box has a T-shaped base, it is attached to the mounting bracket, particularly with its horizontal section. Attachment can be achieved, for example, via a screw connection and / or with at least one mounting element for the toilet.

[0015] A flushing water pipe for the toilet, a wastewater pipe for the toilet, a shower water pipe for the toilet, or an electrical connection pipe for the toilet can be routed through the connection box.

[0016] Furthermore, the connection box can extend through a cover of the device and be connected to the cover in a liquid-tight manner. For this purpose, a seal, for example made of silicone, can be provided between the connection box and the cover.

[0017] Following a further aspect, a WC arrangement is also proposed which includes a device described here for fixing a WC to a wall and a WC, wherein the WC is fixed to a fixing surface of a fixing traverse of the device by means of at least one fixing element and wherein an installation space is formed between the fixing surface and a cover of the device or between the fixing surface and the WC.

[0018] For further details of the WC arrangement, please refer to the description of the proposed device for fixing a WC to a wall.
