Description
[0001] One aspect of the invention relates to a cooking appliance comprising a base unit and a separate decorative strip. The cooking appliance also includes a holding device, wherein the decorative strip is detachably attached to the base unit by means of the holding device. The attachment is such that the decorative strip is arranged as a visible component on the base unit.
[0002] Such a cooking appliance, in the form of an oven, is known, for example, from DE 90 10 406 U1.
[0003] From JP 2016 083324 A, a splash guard device for cooking utensils is known. In this device, kitchen paper can be clamped into a clamping device and moved over a pan or similar item to protect against splashes, especially oil splashes.
[0004] A removable protective plate for a cooktop is known from JP 2017 110905 A.
[0005] From EP 3 453 975 A1, a cooktop and the arrangement of a cooktop in a worktop are known. The cooktop has a receiving tray arranged below a cooktop surface for receiving the heating elements of the cooktop. The receiving tray has a raised rim that rests on the worktop within a support section. A cover is arranged over this, which may, for example, be held in place by magnets.
[0006] Furthermore, a cooktop is known from US patent 4,517,955. This cooktop features pivoting wings arranged laterally to a cooktop surface. The mounting device is quite large and therefore requires a relatively large amount of space. Moreover, its holding function and, in particular, its reversible attachment and removal are difficult.
[0007] The object of the present invention is to create a cooking appliance in which a decorative strip can be easily and yet securely attached to a base unit of the cooking appliance.
[0008] This problem is solved by a cooking appliance which has the features according to claim 1.
[0009] One aspect of the invention relates to a cooking appliance comprising a base unit and a separate decorative strip. The cooking appliance also includes a holding device, wherein the decorative strip is detachably attached to the base unit by means of the holding device. The attachment is such that the decorative strip is arranged on the base unit, particularly as a visible component.
[0010] The mounting device incorporates a magnetic mechanism that holds the decorative strip to the base unit using magnetic force. This type of magnetic mechanism is very compact. Furthermore, it provides a very strong holding force, ensuring the decorative strip remains securely in place on the base unit. Despite this secure positioning, the magnetic mechanism also allows for quick and easy reversible attachment and removal of the decorative strip from the base unit.
[0011] Since a magnetic device is relatively insensitive to various environmental influences, the holding force can be maintained consistently over time. Even if liquids and / or solid particles enter the holding device area during operation of the cooking appliance, the functionality of the magnetic device is not impaired. In such situations, the ability to easily remove the decorative strip by releasing the magnetic holding force is particularly advantageous. This allows the decorative strip to be easily removed for quick and complete cleaning of any contamination, especially in the area of the holding device. Furthermore, this type of magnetic device is also insensitive to temperature fluctuations.Undesirable deformations of the holding device due to higher temperatures can therefore be avoided with such a magnetic device.
[0012] A magnetic device of this kind is particularly advantageous when the decorative strip, once attached to the base unit, is only to be positioned in a single end position. Therefore, a holding device known from the prior art, where protruding wings of a cooktop are also intended or required to be pivoted, is unsuitable in such situations.
[0013] In one embodiment, the cooking appliance is a cooktop. Decorative strips are particularly advantageous for such a specific type of cooking appliance. In particular, they can form at least partially surrounding frame elements. These can, for example, frame a cooktop surface, at least in certain areas. Especially when a cooktop is typically recessed into a kitchen countertop, such a decorative strip can advantageously cover the interface between the cooktop and the edge of the countertop's opening from above. Therefore, it is particularly advantageous for a cooktop to hold decorative strips to the base unit using magnetic force. On the one hand, this allows for a very precise, fixed installation, and these specifically positioned decorative strips, especially as frame elements for the cooktop, remain stable even if cookware or other items were to bump against the cooktop when moved. On the other hand, this completely covers the interface between the cooktop and the worktop. In one embodiment, the decorative strip is at least one frame component of a frame that surrounds a support plate of the base unit. The support plate is, by design, oriented primarily horizontally.
[0014] According to the invention, the base unit has such a support plate. This support plate is a functional plate. In particular, it is a visible component of the base unit, especially of the entire cooking appliance. Therefore, in one embodiment, such a support plate is also provided so that other components, such as cookware or the like, can be placed on its upper surface. In particular, during operation of the cooking appliance, it is provided that such cookware must be placed on this support plate in order to carry out cooking processes involving food in such cookware. In one embodiment, the support plate can be made of glass or glass-ceramic.
[0015] In one embodiment, the support plate can be a cooktop plate.
[0016] In one embodiment, a decorative strip is arranged adjacent to a side edge of the carrier plate. It thus forms, in particular, a frame element of a frame that surrounds the carrier plate, at least partially. Therefore, the carrier plate is essentially framed at its edge by the decorative strip. Specifically, the decorative strip is arranged horizontally when installed. This means that its longitudinal axis lies in a horizontal plane.
[0017] A decorative molding is, in particular, a strip-shaped or beam-shaped component. It therefore represents a straight, elongated element.
[0018] According to the invention, the base unit has a coupling strip. The coupling strip is arranged on a base body of the base unit. The coupling strip is directly coupled to the separate decorative strip when the decorative strip is in its assembled final state.
[0019] In one embodiment, the coupling strip is attached to the underside of the carrier plate. This effectively conceals it, at least partially, beneath the carrier plate. The top surface of the carrier plate is therefore not obstructed by the coupling strip. Furthermore, this allows for a very stable mechanical attachment of the coupling strip to the carrier plate. For example, an adhesive bond can be used to attach the coupling strip. However, other mechanical coupling mechanisms, particularly interlocking structures, are also possible. For instance, anchoring elements can be provided to attach the coupling strip to the carrier plate, especially to its underside. For this purpose, receptacles can be provided in the underside of the carrier plate into which these anchoring elements of the coupling strip can engage. For example, barbs or barb-like elements may be provided here.
[0020] These barb elements can be formed integrally with the coupling element. This element can, for example, be made of metal in the exemplary embodiment. However, the barb elements can also be made of plastic, for example. They can then be arranged differently on the coupling strip element, which is made of metal in particular.
[0021] In one embodiment, an adhesive bond can be created using a liquid adhesive. Another embodiment of an adhesive bond could, for example, be a double-sided adhesive tape.
[0022] In another embodiment, it is also possible to have a recess or a material cutout on the underside of the carrier plate, into which the coupling strip is arranged, at least partially immersed. This minimizes the installation space of the base unit in the vertical direction. The stable mechanical positioning of the coupling strip can also be individually improved as a result.
[0023] In one embodiment, the coupling strip is a strip that interacts magnetically, at least in part. This allows the coupling strip itself to be the interacting component that magnetically interacts with the decorative strip to generate the magnetic holding force. In such an embodiment, the coupling strip itself, particularly its magnetically interacting section, constitutes a component of the magnetic device. The magnetic functionality is therefore essentially integrated into the coupling strip.
[0024] In this context, it is possible that the coupling strip itself, particularly in its one-piece design, has a magnetically interacting section. In another embodiment, the coupling strip can have a separate magnetically interacting component, for example, a permanent magnet, which is attached to the coupling strip. This, too, is an embodiment of a strip that is at least partially magnetically interacting. In such an embodiment, the coupling strip represents a multifunctional component. On the one hand, it is a mechanical support component for the decorative strip. The decorative strip can be mechanically coupled to this coupling strip in its final position and, for example, partially mounted on it. Additionally, in the aforementioned embodiment, the coupling strip is precisely the component that also provides the magnetic holding force for the decorative strip.
[0025] In one embodiment, the decorative strip has a laterally cantilevered side rib. This side rib, oriented transversely to the longitudinal axis of the decorative strip, can be strip-like in one embodiment. In another embodiment, this side rib can be designed to interact magnetically, at least in part. In such an embodiment, this side rib serves as a component of the magnetic device. It can then be magnetically coupled directly to the coupling strip. In particular, the magnetic holding force is then generated between this side rib of the decorative strip and the coupling strip, especially in a magnetically interacting section of the coupling strip. In the final position of the decorative strip on the base unit, the side rib is in direct contact with the coupling strip and held magnetically to it in one embodiment.
[0026] In one embodiment, the side rib and the connecting strip overlap in the width direction of the cooking appliance. In the height direction, the side rib and the connecting strip are stacked on top of each other. This embodiment allows for a low-profile design. In particular, the side rib is thinner, often significantly thinner, than the base body of the decorative strip. The side rib projects laterally from the base body of the decorative strip. Furthermore, this embodiment enables the side rib, which can also be called a side strip, to have as large an area of contact with the connecting strip as possible. This allows for the generation of a particularly advantageous magnetic holding force over a greater length along the longitudinal axis of the decorative strip.
[0027] Furthermore, in one embodiment, this side rib also serves to mechanically support the decorative strip on the base unit. Specifically, the side rib can slide under the coupling strip when the decorative strip is in its assembled final position, thus achieving a more mechanically stable positioning.
[0028] In one embodiment, the side web extends over the entire length of the base body of the decorative strip. In a particular embodiment, it is designed with a length that extends over at least 50 percent of the coupling strip, more specifically at least 60 percent of the length of the coupling strip, more specifically at least 70 percent of the coupling strip, and more specifically at least 80 percent of the coupling strip.
[0029] This is preferably the case when the coupling strip is designed as a magnetic strip along its entire length.
[0030] In another embodiment, in which the coupling strip is only partially magnetically interacting when viewed along its longitudinal axis, this side web can also be shorter. In particular, if it is intended for magnetic interaction with the coupling strip, especially the locally magnetically interacting coupling strip sections, it can only be formed at the locations and along this length of the coupling strip sections.
[0031] In another embodiment, the side rib may be designed solely for the mechanical positioning of the decorative strip relative to the base unit. It is then not designed for magnetic interaction with the coupling strip. In such an embodiment, the decorative strip may be designed to interact magnetically at other points. For example, the base body of the decorative strip may be designed to interact magnetically in certain areas. In one embodiment, the material of the decorative strip, particularly the base body itself, may be magnetically interacting. In another embodiment, a magnetically interacting component, such as a permanent magnet, may be arranged locally on the base body. This is then an additional component to the base body of the decorative strip. In such an embodiment, the base body can have a magnet receptacle in which the permanent magnet is recessed, at least partially. This also enables a compact design and a positionally secure arrangement of this permanent magnet. In such an embodiment, direct contact between the base body and the coupling strip is provided. In particular, the magnetically interacting areas of the decorative strip can then magnetically interact with magnetically interacting areas of the coupling strip, especially locally formed coupling strip sections. Specifically, these magnetically interacting areas of the coupling strip on the one hand and the decorative strip on the other are then in direct contact with each other.
[0032] According to the invention, the coupling strip has at least one coupling platform projecting laterally beyond a side edge of the support plate, on which the decorative strip rests in its installed end position. In one embodiment, such a coupling platform can be designed to interact magnetically, at least in part. It can then be a magnetically interacting area or a section of the coupling strip. This coupling platform extends only partially along the entire length of the coupling strip in its longitudinal direction. In one embodiment, the coupling strip may have such a coupling platform at one end. Additionally or instead, the coupling strip may have a coupling platform at the other end. In another embodiment, additionally or instead, such a coupling platform may also be provided in a central third of the coupling strip's length. In one embodiment, a coupling strip can be designed with two, three, or more coupling platforms. Each of these coupling platforms can then either be magnetically interacting, at least partially, or have a magnet, for example a permanent magnet, as an additional component. In one embodiment, such a permanent magnet is fixed to the coupling strip. For example, it can be glued to it.
[0033] In one embodiment, the coupling platforms are additionally designed for the mechanical coupling of the coupling strip to the decorative strip. In this context, the decorative strip can then also rest on these coupling platforms from above in its final position. In another embodiment, the decorative strip may also have recesses, particularly on its underside. These recesses can be designed as receptacles for the coupling platforms. This further improves the mechanical coupling between the decorative strip and the coupling strip, especially the coupling platforms.
[0034] In another embodiment, the decorative strip can have a slot-like recess on its side facing the coupling strip. In the assembled final state of the decorative strip on the coupling strip, the coupling strip can be inserted into these slot-like recesses, at least along the lengths of the preferably present coupling platforms. This can further improve the mechanical coupling.
[0035] It is also possible that the decorative strip has such a slot-like recess along its entire length and that a coupling strip is inserted into this slot recess when viewed along its entire length.
[0036] In one embodiment, it is also possible that the coupling strip has, for example, two coupling platforms projecting laterally beyond the edge of the support plate. These can be formed at the ends of the coupling strip, particularly in the direction of its longitudinal axis. In another embodiment, the decorative strip can have magnetically interacting areas at its ends, particularly on its base, which magnetically couple with these coupling platforms, thus forming the magnetic device and generating the magnetic holding force. A lateral web can be formed between these coupling platforms of the decorative strip in the longitudinal direction. This web is shorter, particularly when viewed in the direction of this longitudinal axis, than the distance between the coupling platforms in this direction. In one embodiment, the side support can be arranged overlapping these coupling platforms in the width direction of the cooking appliance and extend under the underside of the support plate. It can then rest against the underside of the support plate.
[0037] In one embodiment, the coupling strip can have a recess. This recess can be present, in particular, in a coupling platform of the coupling strip, if such a platform is designed. This recess is specifically designed as a magnet receiving recess. A magnet, in particular a permanent magnet, separate from the coupling strip, can then be arranged in this recess when the coupling strip is coupled to the decorative strip. If the decorative strip also has a recess opposite this recess in the coupling strip, in which the magnet is arranged in the end position of the decorative strip, the magnet is essentially enclosed, at least partially, by such recesses. Thus, in the final position of the decorative strip attached to the coupling strip, the magnet is completely surrounded by the walls of the recesses. This also allows the magnet to be arranged in a space-saving manner, and the overall height can be minimized.Furthermore, the magnet is then also positioned securely.
[0038] In one embodiment, the magnet is fixed in place within the recess of the coupling strip. For example, it could be glued into this recess. This ensures a firm, and in particular permanent, connection to the coupling strip. If the decorative strip is removed from the coupling strip, the magnet remains fixed to the coupling strip.
[0039] In another embodiment, the magnet can be fixed in place within the recess of the decorative strip. For example, it can be attached to the recess of the decorative strip by means of an adhesive bond. In such an embodiment, this magnet is then fixed in place and connected to the decorative strip in a way that allows movement. If the decorative strip is removed from the coupling strip, the magnet remains attached to the decorative strip. In an embodiment in which the magnet is fixed in place on the decorative strip, particularly in the aforementioned recess, the coupling strip, especially at least in the portion intended for magnetic coupling with the decorative strip, is designed to interact magnetically. If the coupling strip is designed with the aforementioned recess, this recess is designed to interact magnetically, at least in part. This allows the magnetic holding force to be formed between this recess and the magnet on the decorative strip. Similarly, in another embodiment, where the magnet is fixed in place on the recess of the coupling strip, the element intended for direct coupling, or the section of the decorative strip, is magnetically interacting.
[0040] In one embodiment, it is also possible for this recess, when formed in the coupling strip, to be open at the edges. In particular, it is open at the end furthest from the side edge of the support plate in the width direction. This is especially advantageous when the decorative strip is attached to the coupling strip in a horizontal plane using a magnet, particularly a permanent magnet, that is either inserted or pivoted into place. Such insertion or pivoting can occur, in particular, in a plane defined by the depth and width of the cooking appliance, especially the support plate. In this embodiment, no movement in the vertical direction of the cooking appliance is required, and the decorative strip can be attached to the coupling strip very easily.Because this recess is also open to the side in this horizontal plane, the magnet on the decorative strip can already be positioned at the correct height when it is slid against the coupling strip. This greatly simplifies the necessary assembly steps and movements of the decorative strip when attaching it to the coupling strip. A very simple installation process is thus made possible.
[0041] This is particularly advantageous when the decorative trim strip is mounted to the coupling strip using a swivel unit. In this case, the decorative trim strip can be initially coupled to the coupling strip at one point, and then swiveled relative to the coupling strip around this connection point. Once the decorative trim strip is fully swiveled into position against the coupling strip, the magnet on the decorative trim strip is inserted laterally into the laterally open recess of the coupling strip. During this swiveling motion, the magnet is automatically swung into its defined final position within the recess, where it can then generate its magnetic holding force in conjunction with the magnetically interacting section of the coupling strip.
[0042] According to the invention, the coupling strip has a pivoting unit at a first end, viewed along its longitudinal axis. In an intermediate mounting position, where the first end of the decorative strip is coupled to the pivoting unit, the decorative strip can pivot around this unit. This allows a second end of the decorative strip, which in this intermediate mounting position is still spaced apart from the coupling strip, to be coupled to a second end of the coupling strip. This enables particularly simple and precise positioning of the decorative strip on the coupling strip, guided almost entirely by the pivoting movement. Undesirable positional tolerances or misaligned mounting of the decorative strip on the coupling strip are thus avoided. The very precise positioning and the mechanically stable mounting of the decorative strip on the coupling strip are also particularly advantageous. In one embodiment, it may be provided that at this first end, only a mechanical coupling between the coupling strip and the decorative strip is formed by this pivoting unit. At the other end, particularly the second end, the magnetic holder between the decorative strip and the coupling strip is then formed.
[0043] In one embodiment, the magnetic device is arranged at the second end of the coupling strip and the second end of the decorative strip, in particular only there, so that the magnetic holding force is generated, in particular only, at these second ends in the end position of the decorative strip on the coupling strip.
[0044] In a further advantageous embodiment, the decorative strip has a lower gripping rib. This lower gripping rib, which engages the underside of the carrier plate in the attached end position of the decorative strip on the base unit, provides further mechanical stabilization of the decorative strip's end position. In one embodiment, this lower gripping rib can be the side rib, as already mentioned in an embodiment above. This lower gripping rib can then project laterally from the base body of the decorative strip.
[0045] In one embodiment, the first end of the coupling strip is formed with an arc-shaped joint area. This joint area is part of the pivoting unit. The decorative strip can then be directly mechanically coupled to a continuously curved joint element of this joint area at its first end. For this purpose, the decorative strip is designed with a counter-pivot element at this first end. This element is specifically designed to engage positively with the pivot element at the first end of the coupling strip. This forms the pivoting unit and enables a simple and smooth pivoting movement of the decorative strip along the coupling strip in this state, where these two elements are already mechanically coupled at their first ends. The pivot element at the first end of the coupling strip may have a chamfer. This wedge-shaped design of the swivel element, which tapers towards the decorative strip, improves the mechanical coupling with the decorative strip. In particular, it allows for improved engagement of the swivel element with the counter-swivel element. The swivel movement is therefore very precise and free of tolerances. Undesired tilting of the components relative to each other is thus prevented. This also allows for an overlap, especially in the depth direction of the cooking appliance, between the swivel element and the preferably complementary counter-swivel element. Furthermore, no undesired movement occurs in the vertical direction when the decorative strip swivels on the coupling strip. This enables particularly precise swivel movement guidance in this horizontal plane, so that coupling at the second ends between the decorative strip and the coupling strip is also very precise and without spreading or jamming.
[0046] Another aspect relates to a method for mounting a decorative strip on a base unit of a cooking appliance, in particular according to an aspect of the invention mentioned above or an advantageous embodiment thereof, comprising the following steps: Attaching a decorative strip to the base unit, wherein the decorative strip is held to the base unit by a magnetic holding force of a magnetic device of the cooking appliance.
[0047] Advantageous embodiments of the assembly method are given by the above-mentioned advantageous embodiments of the cooking device, wherein the respective components are designed to carry out the assembly steps alone or in conjunction with other components.
[0048] The proposed cooking appliance and method also allow for the easy and therefore effortless removal and reattachment of such decorative strips. This significantly improves the cleaning of interfaces between the base unit and adjacent components of the cooking appliance, as the decorative strip can be easily removed, providing access to the corresponding interface for cleaning. This is particularly advantageous for cooktops installed in a recess in a countertop. Removing the decorative strip allows for improved access to the interface, especially between the cooktop and the countertop. Furthermore, this concept enables the creation of customized versions of the cooking appliance by individually selecting and attaching the decorative strips.A cooktop can thus be supplied with many identical components, but individualized by one or more decorative strips. Functionally, different decorative strips can be used to cover this interface. Furthermore, this option of customizing the cooking appliance, especially the cooktop, with individual decorative strips also allows for the creation of unique visual effects. The decorative strip can be customized both materially and / or structurally, thereby personalizing the overall appearance of the cooking appliance. This even allows users to create their own unique look for their cooking appliance, particularly their cooktop, simply by individually selecting decorative strips. Moreover, this option also allows for easy replacement of decorative strips if they become worn, especially scratched or deformed. The magnetic device offers particular advantages in these situations. It can remain in place permanently, maintaining its functionality in terms of magnetic interaction and the generation of magnetic holding force. Even with repeated removal and attachment of a decorative strip, the magnetic device remains fully functional and, unlike mechanical connections, does not become worn out or develop positional tolerances due to abrasion or similar factors. This ensures a consistently secure and wobble-free attachment of the decorative strip to the base unit.
[0049] The terms "top", "bottom", "front", "back", "horizontal", "vertical", "depth", "latitude", "height", etc. indicate the positions and orientations given when the device is used and arranged as intended.
[0050] The invention also includes and discloses embodiments that are not explicitly shown and explained in the figures, but which can be derived and generated from the explained embodiments through separate combinations of features.
[0051] Examples of implementation are explained in more detail below with reference to schematic drawings. These show: Fig. 1 a perspective view of an embodiment of a cooking device according to the invention; Fig. 2 an exploded view of partial components of an embodiment of a cooking device not according to the invention; Fig. 3 a view of a bottom side of an embodiment of a cooking device not according to the invention; Fig. 4 an enlarged partial view of a partial area of the embodiment in Fig. 3 ; Fig. 5 a vertical section view through a part of the cooking appliance according to Fig. 2 Fig. 6 shows a partial view of a further embodiment of a cooking appliance according to the invention with a decorative strip in an intermediate mounting position; Fig. 7 shows an enlarged view of a partial view of a base unit of an embodiment of a cooking appliance according to the invention at a first end of a coupling strip; Fig. 8 shows a partial view of an embodiment of a cooking appliance with a base unit at a Fig. 7 opposite second end; Fig. 9 a view from below of the embodiment according to Fig. 6 bis Fig. 8 in the assembled final state of the decorative strip on the base unit of the cooking appliance; and Fig. 10 a perspective view of a further embodiment of a cooking appliance according to the invention.
[0052] In the figures, identical or functionally equivalent elements are given the same reference symbols.
[0053] In Fig. 1 An exemplary embodiment of a cooking appliance is shown in a perspective schematic representation. The cooking appliance is a cooktop 1. The cooktop 1 has a cooktop plate 2. This cooktop plate 2 is an example of a support plate. The cooktop plate 2 is part of a base unit 3 of the cooking appliance, in particular the cooktop 1. This cooktop plate 2 can be made of glass or glass-ceramic. It is intended to be a visible component, arranged in a horizontal plane. Preferably, the cooktop 1 is arranged in a recess 4 in a worktop 5, in particular a kitchen unit. In the exemplary embodiment, several cooking zones 7, 8, 9, and 10 are marked on a top surface 6a of the cooktop plate 2. Cookware, such as a pan or pot, or the like, can be placed on these cooking zones 7 to 10. The cooktop 1 also has heating elements arranged below the cooktop plate 2.They are positioned so that when the heating elements are in operation, cooking zones 7 to 10 can be heated, or in the case of an induction hob, electromagnetic energy can be transferred to the cookware placed on these surface areas in order to heat the food in the cookware.
[0054] This cooktop 1 also has a control and display device 1a. The cooktop surface 2 extends across the horizontal plane, which here is defined by the width direction (x-direction) and the depth direction (z-direction). Furthermore, in Fig. 1 The altitude direction (y-direction) is also shown.
[0055] The cooktop panel 2 has a front edge 11 and a rear edge 12. The cooktop panel 2, which is rectangular in shape, also has side edges 13 and 14 opposite each other in the width direction.
[0056] In one embodiment, the base unit 3 has a separate decorative strip 15 for the cooktop 2. In this embodiment, a further decorative strip 16 is provided. The two decorative strips 15 and 16 are, in particular, straight, board-like or beam-like elements. They are arranged adjacent to, and in particular directly adjacent to, the side edges 13 and 14. Therefore, in one embodiment, they form a frame-like border for the cooktop 2 along these side edges 13 and 14. As can be seen, the decorative strips 15 and 16 extend along their longitudinal axis, which is oriented in the depth direction, substantially or, in particular, completely over the entire length of the side edges 13 and 14 measured in this depth direction. They therefore cover these side edges 13 and 14 completely over their respective lengths.
[0057] Furthermore, the decorative strips 15 and 16 cover from above an interface between the hob plate 2 and the limiting edges of the worktop 5, which define the recess 4.
[0058] In particular, it is provided that the decorative strip 15 is detachably attached to the base unit 3 by a retaining device. Similarly, the decorative strip 16 is also detachably attached to the base unit 3 by a retaining device. This non-destructive detachable attachment is formed in particular by a magnetic device 17 or a magnetic device 18.
[0059] In Fig. 2 An exploded view shows an embodiment of a cooktop 1. The base unit 3 has a coupling strip 19 in addition to the cooktop surface 2. This coupling strip is made of metal. Furthermore, the embodiment includes another coupling strip 20. This is also a separate component from the cooktop surface 2 and is part of the base unit 3. In one embodiment, these coupling strips 19 and 20 are fixed to the separate cooktop surface 2. Specifically, they can be attached to an underside 6b of the cooktop surface 2. For example, they can be attached to the underside 6b by means of an adhesive bond. Another possibility is, for example, attachment with barbs. For this purpose, metallic barbs or plastic barbs formed on the coupling strip 19 or 20 can be coupled in barb receptacles formed in particular on this underside 6b.
[0060] This also enables a secure and positionally fixed attachment of the coupling strips 19 and 20 to the hob plate 2.
[0061] In one embodiment, the coupling strip 20 is at least partially magnetic. Therefore, in one embodiment, it is a strip that interacts magnetically, at least partially. In another embodiment, the coupling strip 19 has a straight base strip 21. In another embodiment, this base strip 21 can be designed to interact magnetically, at least partially. The material of the coupling strip 21 can be magnetically interacting. For example, it can be ferromagnetic. Other magnetically interacting principles and thus corresponding materials can also be used.
[0062] In the exemplary embodiment, the coupling strip 19 has coupling strip sections. These are specifically designed as coupling platforms 22, 23, and 24. The number and position of the coupling platforms 22 to 24 are merely examples. In particular, it can be provided that at least at the ends 25 and 26 extending along the longitudinal axis of the coupling strip 19, such a coupling platform 22 and 23 is realized. In the exemplary embodiment, a third coupling platform 24 is formed approximately in the center. The coupling platforms 22 to 24 are partial sections projecting laterally beyond the dimensions of the base strip 21. Therefore, when the coupling strip 19 is mounted on the cooktop 2, they are elements or tabs projecting laterally laterally beyond the cooktop 2.
[0063] In a further embodiment (not shown), the coupling strip 19, 20 is shortened relative to the longitudinal axis of the decorative strip 15, 16. The amount of shortening corresponds at least to the length of a coupling platform 22, 23, 24, but less than one-third of the total length of the decorative strip 15, 16. This embodiment is particularly advantageous when two cooktops are to be arranged directly next to each other, and a gap-bridging decorative strip 15, 16 placed between them is to have the same width as the outer, freestanding decorative strips 15, 16. In particular, such an embodiment allows the use of identically designed coupling strips 19, 20 both for the decorative strip 15, 16 between the two cooktops and for the decorative strip 15, 16 on the remaining outer side edge 13, 14 of the respective cooktop surface 2.The two coupling strips 19, 20 of the opposing cooktop side edges 13, 14 are arranged such that the coupling platforms 22, 23, 24, which project laterally beyond the cooktop surface 2 towards the other cooktop, are offset from each other. They interlock in pairs, similar to a toothed connection, thus allowing for a narrow gap or a narrow decorative strip 15, 16 between the two cooktops. The offset arrangement of the coupling strips 19, 20 can be achieved, for example, by having the coupling strip 20 of a left cooktop flush with the front edge 11 and a coupling strip 19 of a right cooktop, rotated by 180°, flush with the rear edge 12 of the respective cooktop surface 2. The receptacles 27, 28, 29 of the decorative strip 15, 16 for the paired parallel coupling platforms 22, 23, 24 of the two coupling strips 19, 20 are adapted accordingly or enlarged.
[0064] Alternatively, the coupling strips 19, 20 can have a length approximately equal to the length of the decorative strips 15, 16, in which case the coupling platforms 22, 23, 24 are arranged asymmetrically on the coupling strip 19, 20 such that, in the case of an opposite arrangement of two coupling strips 19, 20 rotated by 180° on the facing side edges 13, 14 of two adjacent cooktops, the coupling platforms 22, 23, 24 can also interlock in pairs.
[0065] In one embodiment, the coupling platforms 22 to 24 can be designed to interact magnetically, at least in certain areas. In another embodiment, the material of these coupling platforms 22 to 24 itself can be magnetically interacting. However, it is also possible for a coupling platform 22 to 24 to have a separate magnet attached to it. Such a magnet can, for example, be a permanent magnet. Such a magnet can, for example, be fixed in place on the respective coupling platform 22 to 24 by means of an adhesive bond.
[0066] Depending on the specific design of the coupling strip 19, as already explained above in numerous exemplary embodiments, these magnetically interacting areas and / or the magnet are components of the magnetic device 17.
[0067] It is also possible that in an embodiment in which the coupling platforms 22 to 24 and / or magnets are present on the coupling platforms 22 to 24, the base strip 21 is not designed to interact magnetically.
[0068] In particular, the coupling strip 19 is designed in one piece with the base strip 21 and the preferably existing coupling platforms 22 and / or 23 and / or 24, and in particular is also manufactured in one piece.
[0069] This coupling strip 19, in the exemplary embodiment particularly with the coupling platforms 22 to 24, is designed for direct coupling with the decorative strip 15. In the assembled state, the decorative strip 15 rests directly on top of the coupling strip 19, specifically only on the laterally projecting coupling platforms 22 to 24. This already provides a mechanical support function for this coupling strip 19. In addition, depending on one or more of the aforementioned exemplary embodiments, it also interacts magnetically. In this context, the decorative strip 15 is designed to interact magnetically, at least in certain areas.
[0070] If, for example, the coupling strip 19 is designed to interact magnetically at the coupling platforms 22 to 24 and / or has more than one additional magnet locally there, the decorative strip 15 is preferably designed to interact magnetically at least at the length sections where these coupling platforms 22 to 24 are formed and which are then in direct contact with the respective length sections of the decorative strip 15 in its assembled final state.
[0071] In one embodiment, the decorative strip can have recesses 27, 28, and 29 that are open at the edges and / or open downwards. The number and position shown here are merely examples and reflect the illustrative representation with three coupling platforms 22 to 24. Depending on the number of possible coupling platforms, these recesses 27 to 29 can be fewer or more numerous and / or have different configurations. When the decorative strip 15 is mounted, the coupling platforms 22 to 24 engage laterally and from below in these recesses 27 to 29. This provides additional positioning security for the decorative strip 15 on the coupling strip 19. These recesses 27 to 29 are formed, in particular, as depressions on the underside 30 of this decorative strip 15. Preferably, the shape of these recesses 27 to 29 is such that the coupling platforms 22 to 24 can be inserted into them with a precise or substantially precise fit.In addition to the magnetic mounting, this also achieves a very individual, purely mechanical position fixation of the decorative strip 15 on the coupling strip 19.
[0072] In particular, the explanations given for coupling strip 19 and decorative strip 15 are also valid for coupling strip 20 and decorative strip 16.
[0073] For the sake of clarity, the information on the right-hand side is as follows: Fig. 2 As an exemplary embodiment, the exploded view shows separate magnets 31. These magnets 31 can, for example, be flat cylindrical. In particular, they can be fixed to the coupling platforms 22 to 24. In one embodiment, at least one coupling platform 22 to 24 can have a recess 32, 33, 34. This recess 32, 33, 34 is a magnet receiving recess. Therefore, when the decorative strip 15 is mounted on the coupling strip 19, the respective magnet 31 can be received in this recess 32 to 34.
[0074] Several embodiments are possible in this context. For example, the magnets 31, if present, can be fixed in place within these recesses 32 to 34. They can be attached there, for instance, by non-destructive, permanent connections such as an adhesive bond. In such an embodiment, the magnets 31 are then permanently attached to the coupling strip 19. If the decorative strip 15 is removed, the magnets 31 remain attached to the coupling strip 19.
[0075] In another embodiment, the magnets 31 can also be fixedly arranged on the decorative strip 15. For example, they can be attached to the underside 30. They can be recessed into this underside 30 of the decorative strip 15, at least in some areas. It is also possible, if the described receptacles 27 to 29 are present, for the magnets 31 to be arranged in these receptacles 27 to 29. In such an embodiment, the coupling platforms 22 to 24, which are preferably present, are then designed to interact magnetically, at least in some areas. This is because, when the decorative strip 15 is attached, a magnetic interaction is generated between the magnets 31 on the decorative strip 15 and the magnetically interacting coupling platforms 22 to 24. When the decorative strip 15 is removed, the magnets 31 remain attached to the decorative strip 15.Here too, for example, these magnets 31 can then be arranged on the decorative strip 15 by means of a non-destructive, permanently attached connection, such as an adhesive connection.
[0076] When the decorative strip 15 is attached to the base unit 3, the coupling strip 19 is completely covered by the decorative strip 15. The coupling strip 19 is then no longer visible. The explanations above also apply accordingly to the decorative strip 16 and the coupling strip 20. In one embodiment, the corresponding magnets 31 can also be provided there.
[0077] The Figuren 2-4 do not show embodiments according to the invention.
[0078] In Fig. 2 In another embodiment, a front strip 35 and a rear strip 36 are also shown. These can be arranged on the front edge 11 and the rear edge 12, respectively. In such an embodiment, this front strip 35, the rear strip 36, and the decorative strips 15 and 16 form a surrounding frame for the cooktop 2. However, they are, in particular, four separate strips. It is also possible that the front strip 35 and the rear strip 36 are not removable decorative strips, but, for example, permanently installed strips. However, it is also possible that this front strip 35 and / or the rear strip 36 are decorative strips, as illustrated with reference to the decorative strips 15 and 16. They can then also be removed without damage and, in particular, be held in place by magnetic force. The same principle can then be implemented here, especially with connecting strips, as explained for the decorative strips 15 and 16.
[0079] In Fig. 3 A further embodiment of a cooking appliance, in particular a cooking surface 1, is shown in a view of a bottom surface 6b of a cooktop plate 2.
[0080] In this embodiment, the decorative strip 15 is shown in its assembled final position. As can be seen here, the coupling strip 19 with its base strip 21 is arranged completely within the surface area of the cooktop 2. As can be seen, the two coupling platforms 22 and 23, shown here only as examples, extend beyond the side edge 13 in the width direction. The decorative strip 15 sits on top of these coupling platforms 22 and 23. As can be seen, these coupling platforms 22 and 23 do not extend as far in the width direction as the width of the decorative strip 15. Therefore, the decorative strip 15 projects further to the side in the width direction than the coupling platforms 22 and 23. As can be seen here, the magnets 31 are fixedly arranged on the decorative strip 15. In the lateral direction, in the exemplary embodiment, they are arranged in the mounted end position of the decorative strip 15 only partially overlapping with the coupling platforms 22 and 23.They therefore only partially overlap the coupling platforms 22 and 23 in the lateral direction. In particular, the aforementioned recesses 32 and 34 are provided in the coupling platforms 22 and 23. In one embodiment, these recesses 32 and 34 are open on the side facing away from the cooktop plate 2. This allows the magnets 31 to be inserted into these recesses 32 and 34 and, in this final position, to protrude laterally beyond the coupling platforms 22 and 23 and thus also beyond these recesses 32 and 34.
[0081] In one embodiment, the decorative strip 15 may have a cantilevered side rib 37, particularly on its underside. This side rib 37 projects laterally beyond a base body 38 of the decorative strip 15 in the width direction. Specifically, this side rib 37 cantilevers freely on the side facing the cooktop 2. This allows, as shown in Fig. 3 As can be seen in the assembled final position of the decorative strip 15, this side rib 37 is arranged overlapping with the cooktop plate 2. It then rests, in particular, against the underside 21 of this cooktop plate 2. This further stabilizes the position of the decorative strip 15 relative to the cooktop plate 2. In one embodiment, this side rib can be formed in one piece and without interruption along the longitudinal axis. However, it can also be segmented and consist of several sections. Such a side rib 37 can also be implemented in the previously mentioned embodiments as well as in the embodiments described below. In one embodiment, this side rib 37 can be designed without magnetic interaction. In another embodiment, however, it can be designed to interact magnetically, at least in certain areas. It can be a gripping rib for gripping under the cooktop plate 2.
[0082] In Fig. 3 The decorative strip 16 is shown in its disassembled state relative to the coupling strip 20. The side web 37, which is preferably present here, is more clearly visible in this removed state. It extends in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the decorative strip 16 only over a length that is shorter than the distance in this direction between the coupling platforms of the coupling strip 20.
[0083] In Fig. 4 is an enlarged representation of section I in Fig. 3 As shown. For better understanding and clarity, the reference symbols for the detailing of coupling strip 21 are assigned here in the same way as for coupling strip 19. The same applies to decorative strip 16 in relation to decorative strip 15.
[0084] In Fig. 5 is in a vertical section view along the section line VV in Fig. 2 shown. In Fig. 5 This refers to the assembled state of the components in Fig. 2 shown. In addition, in Fig. 5 This decorative strip 16 is shown in its mounted final position on the base unit 3. In this embodiment, both the recess 32 and the receptacle 27 are present. Therefore, in this embodiment, the magnet 31 is completely embedded in the cavity formed by the recess 32 and the receptacle 27. In contrast to Fig. 4 Furthermore, an illustration is also shown here in which the recess 32 is closed at the sides and thus forms a blind hole. In this embodiment, it differs from Fig. 3 und Fig. 4 , not open at the edges. It could be in Fig. 5 However, in another embodiment it could also be open at the edges. This would then be the upwardly curved platform section 22a, as shown in Fig. 5 The part shown, which closes the recess 32 laterally, is not present. The upwardly cranked shape of the coupling platform 22, which forms this recess 32, would then not be present.
[0085] In Fig. 6 A further embodiment of a cooking appliance, in particular a cooking surface 1, is shown in a perspective view.
[0086] In this embodiment, the coupling strip 20 is formed at a first end 20b in the direction of the longitudinal axis with a pivot element 39. The decorative strip 16 shown here has a counter-pivot element 41 at a first end 40. This is integrated and thus formed integrally with the decorative strip 16. This makes it possible for the decorative strip 16 to be mechanically coupled to each other, particularly during assembly, via these first ends 20b and 40. In particular, these ends 20b and 40 are designed to interact non-magnetically. A pivot unit 42 is formed by this pivot element 39 and the counter-pivot element 41. This allows the decorative strip 16 to be hooked onto these first ends 20b and 40 during assembly and then rotated in a manner appropriate to this arrangement. Fig. 6 The decorative strip 16 is positioned in the inclined position shown. This is an intermediate assembly position. Starting from this intermediate assembly position, the decorative strip 16 can then be pivoted at its opposite end 43 towards a second end 20c of the coupling strip 20, as indicated by arrow P. In the illustrated embodiment, a magnet 31 is arranged at this front end 43 of the decorative strip 16, in particular fixedly attached to it. Furthermore, the front end 20c of this coupling strip 20 is designed to interact magnetically, at least in part. In one embodiment, it has a recess 32. This recess 32 can be designed to interact magnetically, at least in part. The recess 32 is provided for receiving the magnet 31 in the assembled end position of the decorative strip 16. As shown in Fig. 6 As can be seen, a trough 32 that is open at the edge or on one side is shown here. This is an embodiment of such an open trough, as already mentioned in the previous embodiments.
[0087] It is open on the side facing away from the cooktop plate 2. This allows the decorative strip 16 to be positioned overlapping the coupling strip 20 in this horizontal plane along the sliding path P or pivot path P, and the downwardly projecting magnet 31 dips into this recess 32. The magnet 31, which projects downwards relative to the base body 38 of the decorative strip 16, is then not only magnetically connected to the coupling strip 20 in a particularly advantageous manner, but also mechanically fixed in its position by its placement in the recess 32.
[0088] It is possible that, in the connected state, the coupling strip 20 overlaps the decorative strip 16. In this case, the underside 44 of the decorative strip 16 can be completely flat. Then, viewed vertically, the coupling strip 20 projects downwards beyond this underside 44 in the assembled final state. It is also possible that the underside 44 has a recess 45. The coupling strip 20 can then be inserted into this recess in the assembled final state, so that the coupling strip 20 preferably does not project downwards beyond the underside 44 of the decorative strip 16. This recess 45 can be open at the bottom. It is also possible that a slot-like recess is formed in the decorative strip 16, into which the coupling strip 20 is inserted or plugged when the decorative strip 16 is pivoted towards the coupling strip 20.This would also cover the coupling strip 20 from below, especially by the decorative strip 16.
[0089] In Fig. 7 is an enlarged representation of area II in Fig. 6 shown. In one embodiment, this area can be a rear corner region of the cooktop 1. The swivel unit 42 would then be formed on a rear region of the cooktop 1. However, it is also possible that, conversely, Fig. 6 The swivel unit 42 is formed at a front end of the cooktop 1. The magnetic device 18 would then be formed at the rear end of the cooktop 1.
[0090] In Fig. 7 In this context, the underside of the cooktop 1 is viewed. As can be seen, the pivoting element 20b is a curved cam of a hinge area. The counter-pivoting element 41 is a complementarily shaped receptacle. These curved areas enable relative pivoting to each other in a particularly advantageous manner. In particular, this forms a hinge. It is also possible that the decorative strip 16 has a height, at least partially at this rear end, that is located entirely below the cooktop surface 2. This allows the pivoting, in particular of this first end 40 of the decorative strip 16, to occur, especially also below the cooktop surface 2.
[0091] As this is in Fig. 7 As indicated in one embodiment, the edge contour of the pivoting element 39 is rounded in a sectional view in the yz plane. This allows for a certain degree of engagement or behind a possibly at least partially channel-like receptacle in the form of the counter-pivoting element 41. This enables particularly smooth pivoting in the xz plane.
[0092] In Fig. 8 In contrast, sub-area III in Fig. 6 Shown enlarged. The recess 32, which is open at the edge, is shown.
[0093] In Fig. 9 is the embodiment according to Fig. 6 bis Fig. 8 The decorative strip 16 is shown in its fully assembled, final state. This is a view from below of the cooktop 1 in the front area.
[0094] In Fig. 10 A further embodiment of a cooking appliance, in particular a cooktop 1, is shown in a perspective view. In this embodiment, a coupling strip 20 is arranged on the underside 6b of the cooktop surface 2. In this embodiment, this is a magnetic strip. It is therefore designed to be magnetically interacting along its entire length. It does not have any coupling pedestals. Furthermore, it is arranged so that it is completely within the surface area of the underside 6b adjacent to the side edge 14. A lateral projection of the coupling strip 20 beyond the side edge 14 is specifically not provided here. In this embodiment, the decorative strip 16 is realized with the base body 38 and a further embodiment of a side web 37. This side web 37 extends laterally, perpendicular to the longitudinal axis A of the decorative strip 16.It is designed to be directly coupled to the coupling strip 20 when the decorative strip 16 is mounted on the base unit 3. It then rests directly against the coupling strip 20, particularly along its entire length. This also implements the magnetic device 18. In this embodiment, at least this side web 37 is also designed to interact magnetically, at least in part.
[0095] A decorative strip 15, 16 can be designed in a variety of materials and / or structures. For example, it can be made of metal, such as aluminum. However, other material designs are also possible. In this context, an embodiment made of plastic or wood is also possible. In a metallic embodiment, stainless steel is also possible. In particular, in one embodiment, the base body 38 can also be at least partially hollow.
[0096] The ends 20c and 43 are in particular second ends of the coupling strip 20 and the decorative strip 16.
[0097] The explanations, as they appear in the exemplary embodiments according to Fig. 4 bis 9 The principles outlined above for the decorative strip 16 and the coupling strip 20 also apply in an exemplary embodiment to the decorative strip 15 and the coupling strip 19. Reference symbol list
