[0002] The following literature provides information on conveyors that can be used to separate parts: [1] DE 20 2011 109506 U1 [2] JP S56 61235 A
[0003] Reference [1] describes a device for separating unspecified small parts, which are placed in a completely random manner in a container. A slider with receptacles for the small parts moves back and forth at the bottom of the container. Small parts transported to the outside in the receptacles are transported further by a handling system, which may include a suction tube or gripper. The container has an air pressure connection through which compressed air pulses can be applied to loosen the small parts in the container.
[0004] For the technological background of slotted cover slides and manufacturing processes for producing stators using slotted cover slides, please refer to the following literature: [3] DE102017101381A1 [4] DE102017002420A1 [5] DE102016111478B4 [6] DE102016124534B4 [7] DE102016113894A1 [8] DE102016111482B4 [9] DE102017119838A1

[0005] In the prior art according to
[11] , all slots of a stator are simultaneously provided with slot cover slides made of iron. For this purpose, a device is disclosed for simultaneously inserting the slot cover slides over the entire circumference of the stator core. The device comprises an insertion mandrel that engages the slots via projections. The slot cover slides are held by magnets and arranged behind the projections. They are pressed into the stator core by means of a press disk when the mandrel is inserted.
[0006] Stators of electrical machines typically comprise a stator component formed from a laminated core with stator slots in which coil conductors are housed. In some stators, the individual stator slots containing conductors are each covered by a slot cover slider that is inserted into the stator slots. The slot cover sliders are strip-shaped, with their greatest extent extending in a longitudinal direction. The outer contour and cross-section of the slot cover slider are designed to suit their intended use in the stator slot. For example, the slot cover sliders have longitudinally extending side surfaces, one of which, during normal use, faces the inside of the stator slot and the other faces the rotor of the electrical machine.
[0007] Due to their design, grooved deck slides are difficult to handle. They have a narrow, rod-like geometry, often with rounded corners. Furthermore, they are usually provided as bulk material without orientation. Very precise orientation is required to join the deck slides.
[0008] In current practical processes used in various manufacturing plants, the slotted cover slides are laboriously picked by hand from a bulk material supply (e.g., KLT containers or similar) and inserted into magazines in the correct position. This process, in which the worker removes the cover slides individually from, for example, a box and inserts them into magazines, is extremely time-consuming and requires a large number of workers (depending on the cycle time). The slotted cover slides can then be further processed automatically by positioning the magazines in front of the stator's laminated core and joining the cover slides.
[0009] The invention aims to significantly improve the handling of slot cover slides during the manufacture of stators.
[0010] To achieve this object, the invention provides a singulation method according to claim 1. A particularly automated method for inserting slot cover slides, in which such a singulation method is carried out as a sub-step, is the subject of a sub-claim. A singulation device for carrying out the singulation method and a use of such a singulation device in the manufacture of stators are the subject of the further sub-claims.

[0046] An exemplary embodiment is explained in more detail below with reference to the attached drawings. They show: Fig. 1 shows a schematic cross-sectional view of a first embodiment of a separating device; Figs. 2a to 2d show sectional views of a region of a counterpart that can be used for separating and aligning groove cover slides and is provided with a groove, during various steps for inserting a groove cover slide into a groove; Fig. 3 shows a schematic cross-sectional view of a second embodiment of a separating device; Fig. 4 shows a schematic cross-sectional view of a third embodiment of a separating device; Fig. 5 shows a schematic cross-sectional view of a fourth embodiment of a separating device; Fig. 6 shows a schematic cross-sectional view of a fifth embodiment of a separating device; and Fig. 7 shows a schematic cross-sectional view of an arrangement of a separating device in an embodiment according to one of the Fig. 1 , 3 to 6and a laminated core for forming a stator during the manufacture of the stator.
[0047] In the following, different embodiments of a separation method and advantageous separation devices 10 are explained with reference to the figures. The separation method can be carried out particularly advantageously with one of the illustrated embodiments of the separation device 10, but can also be carried out in other ways.
[0048] The singulation method is a method for singulating and preferably providing slot cover slides 12 in the correct position during the manufacture of a stator 14. The slot cover slides 12 are designed to cover stator slots 16, which are provided with conductors for forming a coil winding.
[0049] The separation process includes the following steps: a) Providing a quantity 18 of strip-shaped groove cover slides 12 such that the groove cover slides 12 are aligned with one another in the longitudinal direction, otherwise they are present in a disordered manner as bulk material, b) Providing a separating tool (here called counterpart 20) which has an upwardly facing surface 22 with at least one upwardly open groove 22 complementarily adapted to the shape of the groove cover slides 12, c) Arranging the quantity 18 of groove cover slides 12 parallel to the at least one groove 24; d) relative movement of the set 18 of groove cover slides 12 and the counterpart 20 in a direction transverse to the longitudinal extent of the groove 24 and the groove cover slides 12 aligned therewith, so that the set 18 of groove cover slides 12 is moved over the area of the surface 22 provided with the groove 24, e) inserting a groove cover slide 12 into the groove 24 in order to align the groove cover slide 12 also with respect to its angular position about its longitudinal central axis in the groove 24.
[0050] The naming of the steps with a), b), c), ... is intended solely for ease of reference and does not indicate a specific order of the steps. Preferably, steps a) and c) are carried out together by providing the quantity 18 of groove cover slides on the surface 22 already in a position parallel to the groove. This can be done by providing a receptacle in which the quantity 18 is contained and which is movable relative to the counterpart 20, or the groove cover slides 12 are placed on the surface 22, in particular in the longitudinal direction relative to one another, and oriented in the direction of the groove and then moved over the surface relative to the counterpart 20.The relative movement between the set 18 of groove cover slides 12 and the counterpart 20 can be achieved by moving the set 18 of groove cover slides 12 with the counterpart 20 stationary or alternatively by moving the counterpart 20 with the set 18 stationary or by opposing movement of the counterpart 20 and the set 18 of groove cover slides 12.
[0051] During this movement, a groove cover slider 12 is inserted into the groove 24 or into one of several grooves 24 in the surface 22 of the counterpart 20. The groove cover slider 12, which was previously aligned only in the longitudinal direction and otherwise arranged randomly in the set 18, is then aligned in the groove 24, including its cross-sectional position, in which the outer contour of the groove cover slider 12 conforms to the complementary shape of the groove. Thus, the groove cover slider 12 is also aligned in the groove 24 with respect to its angular position around its longitudinal center axis (i.e., rotational position relative to its longitudinal axis).
[0052] The drawings each show cross-sections through different embodiments of the separating device 10, wherein the cross-sections extend transversely to the longitudinal direction or longitudinal center axis of the grooves 24 and also of the groove cover slides 12 aligned parallel to them. Corresponding parts of the separating device 10 are each provided with corresponding reference numerals and are each described only once. The different features of the different embodiments of the separating device 10 can be combined with one another as desired.
[0053] In the various embodiments illustrated in the figures, the separating device 10 comprises the separating tool, here referred to as counterpart 20, with the upwardly facing surface 22 and the at least one groove 24 formed in the surface 22, as well as an optional movement device 28. The movement device 28 is designed for the relative movement of the set 18 of groove cover slides 12 aligned with the longitudinal direction of the groove 24 and the counterpart 20, in order to move the set 18 of groove cover slides 12 over the groove 24. In some embodiments, the optional receptacle 26 is provided.
[0054] Fig. 1shows a first embodiment of the separating device 10. The separating device 10 has a receptacle 26 for the groove cover slides 12, the counterpart 20, and the movement device 28. The groove cover slides 12 are aligned longitudinally, but do not have a precise orientation to the rotational position (angular position) about the longitudinal axis. The receptacle 26 is designed to be pivotable by means of the movement device 28 and can pivot from one side to the other in the counterpart 20. The surface 22 is curved in an arc shape. The hollow counterpart 20 thus contains the groove 24, which is adapted to the geometry of the respective groove cover slides 12. The movement device 28 has a pivot drive (not shown in detail) for pivoting the receptacle 26 back and forth.
[0055] The receptacle 26 is elongated to accommodate a number of strip-shaped groove cover slides 12. For example, the receptacle 26 is box-shaped or funnel-shaped. The receptacle 26 has an elongated discharge opening 30. The groove cover slides 12 are thus aligned in the longitudinal direction in the receptacle 26, but otherwise received in a random manner as bulk material. In particular, they are still unoriented with regard to their angular position about the longitudinal axis. The groove cover slides 12 can thus be easily poured into the receptacle 26 from above. The receptacle 26 is an example of a supply device 32 for supplying a quantity 18 of groove cover slides 12 that are aligned with one another in their longitudinal direction, but can otherwise be present as bulk material. By arranging the receptacle 26 parallel to the groove 24, the groove cover slides 12 can be aligned overall parallel to the groove 24 (example of carrying out step c)).
[0056] At the discharge opening 30, the receptacle 26 has at least one wiper 34. In the illustrated embodiments, a wiper 34 is provided on each longitudinal side of the receptacle opening 30. The wiper 34 can be designed in various ways; preferably, the wiper 34 is strip-shaped with a flexible area for sweeping over the surface 22. Particularly preferably, the wiper 34 has at least one brush 36.
[0057] During the pivoting process over the groove 24, a groove cover slide 12 is separated in this groove 24. The individual steps for inserting the groove cover slide 12 into the groove 24 are shown in the Fig. 2a to 2dshown. The groove cover slider 12 is pushed over the surface 22 to the groove 24 by means of the scraper 34 / brush 36 and then inserted into the groove 24, where its outer contour is aligned with the complementary shape of the groove and thus aligned in its rotational or angular position with respect to its longitudinal axis.
[0058] In some embodiments, such as according to the Fig. 1 , 3 , 5 to 7 the surface 22 of the counterpart 20 has a radius / diameter 40, which - as in Fig. 7 shown—to the stator 14, more precisely, its laminated core 38. Thus, the slot cover slide 12 can be inserted into the stator 14 in the correct position. Therefore, no further reorientation is necessary.
[0059] As with the embodiment of Fig. 3As shown, several of the grooves 24 can also be formed on the surface 22, preferably such that their position and spacing are adapted to the position and spacing of the stator grooves 16. Thus, the separation and alignment in the multiple grooves 24 can take place simultaneously, and the insertion of the groove cover slides 12 from the grooves 24 into the respective stator grooves 16 can also take place simultaneously. Accordingly, the counterpart 20 can be expanded by additional grooves 24, and thus, with a pivoting movement, several groove cover slides 12 can be separated and then joined simultaneously.
[0060] As with the embodiment of Fig. 4As shown, the surface 22 of the counterpart 20 can also be designed to deviate from the curvature of the laminated core 38, such as in this case, linearly. The movement device 28 then moves the set 18 of slot cover slides 12 linearly relative to the counterpart 20, for example, by moving the receptacle 26 linearly back and forth over the counterpart 20.
[0061] As in Fig. 4 As shown, the counterpart 20 can also be designed flat, without a radius, with only one groove 24. In a linear design, it would also be possible to reorient the slot cover slides to adapt to their position in the stator groove by means of an additional guide during insertion (not shown). Thus, even in the flat design, the multiple grooves 24 can be provided, with the slot cover slides 12 being transferred simultaneously into the stator grooves 16, if necessary with reorientation via the additional guides.
[0062] As already mentioned above, the movement device 28 can be designed to move the set 18 of groove cover slides 12 with a stationary counterpart 20 over the surface 22, as is the case in the embodiments of the Fig. 1 to 4 and 6 and 7 As in the embodiment according to the Fig. 5 As shown, the movement device 28 can also be designed to move the counterpart 20 when the set 18 of groove cover slides 12 is stationary (or moved in the opposite direction), in particular to swing it back and forth.
[0063] In Fig. 6A further embodiment of the separating device 10 is shown, which does not require the receptacle 26. The provision device 32 is essentially formed by the separating tool (referred to here as counterpart 20), on which the quantity 18 of groove cover slides 12 can be deposited in the longitudinal direction of the groove 24. Here, the movement device 28 comprises a slider or the like, such as a blade 44 that can be rotated or pivoted back and forth about a rotation axis 42.
[0064] The groove cover slides 12 are filled directly into the counterpart 20 and are guided past the grooves 24 by the blade 44 or the like (a design with only one groove 24 is also possible). The set-in-motion quantity 18 of groove cover slides 12 pushes individual groove cover slides 12 past the grooves 24, which are then deposited and separated in the open grooves 24. Thus, it is not necessary for the blade 44 or the like to reach all the way to the surface 22 of the counterpart 20. In some designs not shown, it is also advantageous in certain cases for the blade 44 to reach all the way to the base - i.e., in this case, the surface 22.
[0065] In other embodiments not shown, it is further provided that the separation process is also optimized with a scraper 34, e.g. with additional brushes 36 on the blade 44.
[0066] Fig. 7shows the method to be carried out in the course of the manufacturing process for the stator 14 for inserting slot cover slides 12 into stator slots 16 for the purpose of covering conductors located therein, comprising: Providing the annular stator component—e.g., the laminated core 38—with stator slots 16 in which conductors (not shown) are received to form a coil winding; providing the separated slot cover slides by performing the separation process as previously explained, here by applying the counterpart 20 with the individual slot cover slide 12 received in the correct position in at least one slot 24; transferring the respective slot cover slide 12 from the slot 24 in the surface 22 into the stator slot 16 to cover the conductors.
[0067] The following steps are preferably carried out: f) Aligning the at least one groove 24 in the separating tool with at least one stator groove 16 - in particular by rotating the stator component about its axis until the grooves 24, 16 are aligned with one another - and g) Moving the respective groove cover slide 12 in the longitudinal direction out of the groove 24 of the separating tool into the stator groove 16 aligned therewith.
[0068] In order to significantly simplify the handling of slot cover slides (12) and, in particular, to make it automatable, a separation method for separating slot cover slides (12) to be carried out during the production of a stator (14) for covering stator slots (16) provided with conductors for forming a coil winding has been described, comprising the steps: a) providing a quantity (18) of strip-shaped groove cover slides (12) such that the groove cover slides (12) are aligned with one another in the longitudinal direction, otherwise they are present in a disordered manner as bulk material, b) providing a counterpart (20) which has an upwardly facing surface (22) with at least one upwardly open groove (24) which is complementarily adapted to the shape of the groove cover slides (12), c) arranging the quantity (18) of groove cover slides (12) parallel to the at least one groove (24); d) relative movement of the set (18) of groove cover slides (12) and the counterpart (20) in a direction transverse to the longitudinal extent of the groove (24) and the groove cover slides (12) aligned therewith, so that the set (18) of groove cover slides (12) is moved over the area of the surface (22) provided with the groove (24), e) inserting a groove cover slide (12) into the groove (24) in order to align the groove cover slide (12) also with respect to its rotational position about its longitudinal axis in the groove (24).
