Description
Technical field of the invention
[0001] The field of the invention relates to devices for presenting and protecting objects, in particular timepieces or items of jewelry.
[0002] The invention relates more particularly to a removable support element, for example for a wristwatch, intended to be integrated into a storage unit and / or a display stand. Technological background
[0003] It is known to present timepieces or jewelry items in storage devices, such as boxes or protective cases.
[0004] Such storage devices can take different forms and generally allow one or more timepieces to be stored and / or transported. These storage devices are traditionally called displays, cases, cases, boxes, cases, pouches, etc.
[0005] Thus, the term storage organ will be used in the remainder of this application to designate indifferently a box, a case, a case, a case, a display, a storage unit, a pouch, or any other container intended to receive and protect from shocks, scratches, or even scratches a timepiece or an item of jewelry.
[0006] Storage organs, traditionally used for the protection and transport of timepieces or jewelry items, are generally of rigid design and may have a flexible, padded or even velvety interior covering so as to form a protective case, thus avoiding any risk of damage to the object housed inside the storage organ.
[0007] These storage members generally have at least one compartment configured to allow the positioning of a removable support element intended to receive the timepiece, such as a wristwatch, or the jewelry item. These support elements also make it possible to ensure that the timepiece, or the jewelry item, is held in a certain position inside the compartment, and to take care of the presentation of the object in the storage member so that the object is correctly in place when the storage member is opened.
[0008] These support elements perform a support function but also protect the internal elements of the timepiece, or the jewelry item, against scratches, scuffs and / or impacts.
[0009] The support element may be, for example, a kind of removable cushion, also called a bobbin, or a flexible support having a C-shaped strip or blade adapted to receive a wristwatch or an item of jewelry.
[0010] Some organizers may also have additional compartments sized to accommodate various accessories, such as bracelets, microfiber cleaning cloths, jewelry items, magnifying devices, etc.
[0011] However, these multi-compartment storage units are generally large and bulky. Therefore, they are not well-suited for frequent transport, especially for travel. Thus, it is common for owners of watches or jewelry to choose to replace the original storage units and temporarily use other smaller storage units, such as travel boxes, for their trips or travels.
[0012] These travel boxes also allow you to transport and protect wristwatches or jewelry items, while taking up little space.
[0013] However, given the compactness of these travel boxes, it is often not possible to transport anything other than a wristwatch or a piece of jewelry. Indeed, the primary objective of such boxes is to offer optimized compactness while ensuring effective protection against shocks, scratches, and scrapes. Thus, these boxes, or secondary storage devices, are absolutely not intended or sized for the integration of additional accessories.
[0014] Thus, the user is forced to choose between using a compact box that does not allow the transport of additional accessories, but has a reduced size, thus facilitating transport and accommodation in luggage, or using a large, bulky storage device that is impractical to accommodate in luggage, in which he can transport at least one wristwatch, or one item of jewelry, as well as the accessories that he wishes to transport with him.
[0015] To solve this problem, the user can choose to buy a new storage unit with intermediate dimensions that are suitable for the objects and accessories they wish to transport. However, this solution is not entirely satisfactory and is not economically viable for the user, who will have to constantly adapt the dimensions of the storage unit depending on the type and / or number of accessories they wish to take with them.
[0016] WO2016 / 019483 describes a support element for a timepiece or piece of jewelry. Summary of the invention
[0017] In this context, the invention proposes a new support element for a timepiece, in particular a wristwatch, or an item of jewelry, making it possible to resolve the drawbacks presented previously.
[0018] To this end, the invention relates to a support element for a timepiece, or an item of jewelry according to claim 1.
[0019] The support element according to the invention allows, in addition to a support function, to be able to integrate and house an object inside the material of the support element. Thus, the modularity of such a support element is optimized by reducing the non-functional parts.
[0020] Thus, the support element according to the invention makes it possible to exploit, enhance and use a "lost" volume, i.e. without any particular function, located in a central region of the support elements, of the reel type, existing in the state of the art. Such a support element according to the invention exploiting this lost volume thus makes it possible to integrate without additional bulk an object useful for the customer.
[0021] Advantageously, the shape of the internal cavity is in line with the object that one wishes to integrate into the support element. Thus, the internal cavity can have different shapes and in particular a circular, oval, ovoid, oblong, or even polygonal section, depending on the needs.
[0022] The central portion comprises at least one region made of cellular material, elastomer or viscoelastic polymer, said internal cavity being located at the level of said region made of cellular material, elastomer or viscoelastic polymer. Thus, the material of the internal cavity helps to maintain the object.
[0023] The central portion comprises at least one region made of polyurethane foam or polyethylene foam, said internal cavity being located at said region made of polyurethane foam or polyethylene foam.
[0024] The object is held in said internal cavity by elastic or viscoelastic response of the material following a deformation of the internal cavity.
[0025] According to one embodiment, the central portion has a density of between 30 and 90 Shore A.
[0026] According to one embodiment, the peripheral portion is made of cellular material, elastomer or even viscoelastic polymer. Thus, the material of the peripheral portion provides a soft and deformable contact for positioning the timepiece.
[0027] According to one embodiment, the peripheral portion and the central portion are in one piece. This simplifies the manufacturing process.
[0028] According to one embodiment, said internal cavity extends on either side of said central portion. Thus, the removal of the object inside the internal cavity is facilitated.
[0029] According to one embodiment, said internal cavity delimits a volume configured to receive and hold in position a timepiece accessory or a piece of jewelry inside said support element. Thus, it is possible to transport in addition to a timepiece, such as a wristwatch, an additional timepiece accessory or a piece of jewelry that can be integrated into the support element.
[0030] According to one embodiment, the watchmaking accessory is a magnifying device. Thus, the user can easily carry a watchmaker's loupe without additional bulk.
[0031] According to one embodiment, said internal cavity has a counterbore shape. This shape advantageously makes it possible to integrate a watchmaker's loupe and to form a positioning stop.
[0032] Said support element comprises a removal member configured to allow the removal of the object from the internal cavity. Thus, the user has a means for easily removing the object from the internal cavity without risk of damage to the object or the internal cavity of the support element.
[0033] According to one embodiment, the central portion comprises at least one removable portion arranged on the periphery of said internal cavity, said removable portion being configured to modify the shape and / or dimensions of said internal cavity when said removable portion is removed from the central portion. Thus, it is possible to modulate the dimensions and shape of the internal cavity simply by removing one or more removable portions from the central portion.
[0034] According to one embodiment, the support element has a shape adapted to receive a wristwatch at said receiving surface.
[0035] The invention also relates to a storage member for a timepiece, or an item of jewelry, characterized in that it comprises an external casing comprising a movable portion, movable between a closed position and an open position, said open position of the movable element allowing access to an internal compartment provided inside the external casing; a support element according to the invention positioned removably in said internal compartment. Detailed description of the invention
[0037] There figure 1 is a schematic perspective representation of a first exemplary embodiment of a support element 100 according to the invention.
[0038] There figure 2 illustrates a side view of the first exemplary embodiment of the support element 100 illustrated in figure 1 .
[0039] There figure 3 illustrates a sectional view of the first exemplary embodiment of the support element 100 illustrated in the figure 1 , according to the section plane AA illustrated in figure 2 .
[0040] The support element 100 has a general shape suitable for the positioning and mounting of a timepiece 10, such as a wristwatch and / or an item of jewelry (not shown).
[0041] Thus, the support element 100 may have, for example, a cylindrical, ovoid, ellipsoid, etc. shape, and may be composed of one or more convex surfaces formed by one or more radii of curvature.
[0042] A cylindrical shape is understood to mean a shape having a ruled surface whose generatrices are parallel, that is to say a surface in space made up of parallel straight lines. Thus, a cylindrical shape according to the invention is not necessarily related to a right cylinder which is a particular shape of a cylinder.
[0043] In the first example of realization illustrated in figures 1 to 3, the support element 100 is of the cushion or spool type, having a geometry and dimensions adapted to receive a timepiece and / or a piece of jewelry, and in particular a wristwatch.
[0044] The support element 100 comprises a central portion 120 forming a block of material, as well as a peripheral portion 110 formed on the periphery of the central portion 120, said peripheral portion 110 being able to be removable or in one piece with the central portion 120.
[0045] Preferably, the support element 100 is a block of material comprising a central portion 120 and a peripheral portion 110.
[0046] The peripheral portion 110 has a curved, essentially convex receiving surface 111, intended to be at least partly in direct contact with said timepiece 10, and more particularly with the internal diameter of the strap of a wristwatch, and possibly with the bottom of the case of the wristwatch, or of the item of jewelry.
[0047] In the example embodiment illustrated in figures 1 to 3 , the receiving surface 111 is composed of a plurality of convex surfaces having several radii of curvature.
[0048] The peripheral portion 110 may also comprise, as illustrated in figures 1 to 3 , a flat lower surface 112 sufficiently wide to facilitate holding, and guarantee stable holding of the support element 100.
[0049] The support element 100 further has two flanks 121, 122 forming the lateral faces of the support element 100. The peripheral portion 110, the central portion 120 and the flanks 121, 122 thus define the general volume of the support element 100.
[0050] In the example embodiment illustrated in figures 1 to 3 , the flanks 121, 122 of the support element 100 are shown to be substantially planar and parallel to each other so that the support element has a generally cylindrical shape; however, this representation is an exemplary embodiment and is not limiting of the invention. Indeed, the flanks 121, 122 of the support element 100 may have various shapes (for example curved, convex or concave) and may be arranged in the same plane or not, symmetrically or not.
[0051] The support element 100 according to the invention also has an internal housing, or an internal cavity 130, forming a recess in the central part 120.
[0052] The internal cavity 130 is preferably provided at the level of the central portion 120 of the support element 100.
[0053] Preferably, the internal cavity 130 is formed substantially in a central region of the central portion 120.
[0054] Preferably, the internal cavity 130 opens at one of the sides 121, 122 of the support element 100.
[0055] Preferably, the internal cavity 130 opens at the level of the two flanks 122, 122 of the support element 100, so that the internal cavity 130 passes through the central portion 120 of the support element 100 on either side.
[0056] Preferably, the internal cavity 130 extends along an axis XX substantially parallel to a central axis C1 of the support element 100.
[0057] Preferably, the internal cavity 130 extends along an axis XX coaxial with the central axis C1 of the support element 100.
[0058] The internal cavity 130 is sized so as to allow the introduction of an accessory 140 inside the support element 100, as well as its retention inside this internal cavity 130.
[0059] The internal cavity 130 has a shape that matches the type of accessory 140 that is to be integrated into the support element 100. Thus, the internal cavity 130 can have different shapes and in particular a circular, oval, ovoid, oblong, or even polygonal section, depending on requirements.
[0060] THE Figures 4a, 5a and 6arepresent, in side view, alternative embodiments of the support element 100 illustrated in figures 1 to 3 . THE Figures 4b, 5b and 6b represent the sectional views of these variant embodiments according to the same section plane AA illustrated in figure 2 .
[0061] In reference to the Figures 4a and 4b , the support element 100a according to the invention comprises an internal cavity 130a of circular section, and of constant dimension.
[0062] In reference to the Figures 5a and 5b, the support element 100b according to the invention comprises an internal cavity 130b having a circular section whose diameter varies along the axis XX, so that the internal cavity 130b has a curved profile of concave shape in the direction of the axis XX. Such a profile of the internal cavity 130b makes it possible, for example, to guarantee the maintenance of a small-sized accessory in the center of the support element 100 and / or of a larger-sized accessory at the ends of the internal cavity 130b (i.e. close to the sides 121, 122).
[0063] Such a profile also makes it possible to guarantee a preferred hold of an accessory 140 at the central part 120 of the internal cavity 130 while facilitating the gripping of the accessory 140 by the user when he wishes to remove it from the internal cavity 130, in particular if the dimensions of the ends of the internal cavity 130 are greater than the dimensions of the ends of the accessory 140.
[0064] In reference to the Figures 6a and 6b , the support element 100c according to the invention comprises an internal cavity 130c of polygonal section, for example in the shape of a star. Such a shape makes it possible to provide a versatile housing allowing various accessories of different shapes to be positioned, such as for example an accessory of straight cylindrical, spherical, cubic, or even rectangular shape.
[0065] Thus, the section of the internal cavity 130 can have variable shapes, as well as variable dimensions depending on the type of accessory 140 that one wishes to integrate into the internal cavity 130 of the support element 100.
[0066] In the example embodiment illustrated in Figures 2 and 3 , the internal cavity 130 has a cylindrical shape composed of two parts of constant sections and different dimensions so that the internal cavity 130 forms a counterbore. Thus, the internal cavity 130 has a first diameter d1 at one of its ends and a second diameter d2, less than d1, at its other end. The difference in bore diameter of the internal cavity 130 thus makes it possible to create an annular shoulder 133 inside the internal cavity 130 configured to form a positioning stop for the accessory 140.
[0067] Preferably, the dimensions of the internal cavity 130 are slightly smaller than the dimensions of the accessory 140 that it is desired to integrate inside the support element 100, so as to allow maintenance by friction and / or by elastic or viscoelastic response of the material following a deformation thereof during the introduction of the accessory 140 into the internal cavity 130.
[0068] The accessory 140 is held in the internal cavity 130, for example, by friction of the accessory 140 against at least a portion of the wall 134 of the internal cavity 130.
[0069] To improve the frictional retention of the accessory 140, the wall 134 of the internal cavity 130 may be covered with a coating promoting interaction with the accessory 140, or may have surface irregularities, or protrusions, such as for example bosses, at the surface of the wall 134 of the internal cavity 130.
[0070] The irregularities or protrusions are advantageously made from a material promoting friction or interaction with the accessory 140.
[0071] The irregularities or protrusions may be made of a material different from the material used for producing the central portion 120, and which advantageously has anti-slip properties so as to increase, if necessary, the retention of the accessory 140 inside the internal cavity 130, in particular during handling of the support element 100.
[0072] The accessory 40 can also be held in place, in a complementary or independent manner with the example described in the preceding paragraphs, by applying pressure to the accessory 140 when the latter is in position in the internal cavity 130.
[0073] The pressure is exerted on the accessory 140 by elastic or viscoelastic response of the surrounding material due to a slight deformation of the internal cavity 130 following the introduction of the accessory 140, in particular when the dimensions of the internal cavity 130 are slightly smaller than the dimensions of the accessory 140.
[0074] For this purpose, the central portion 120 comprises at least one region made from a flexible material having elastic or viscoelastic properties, the internal cavity 130 being formed in this particular region of the central portion 120.
[0075] A flexible material is a material that can be easily deformed manually, with a density between 30 and 90 Shore A.
[0076] The soft material can be a cellular material, a polymer foam, an elastomer, a viscoelastic polymer.
[0077] The soft material is, for example, polyurethane foam or polyethylene foam.
[0078] Preferably, the entire central portion 120 is made of a flexible material having elastic or viscoelastic properties.
[0079] Preferably, the material of the central portion 120 of the support element 100 and the material of the peripheral portion 110 are identical. However, the densities and hardnesses of these two portions may be different.
[0080] According to an alternative embodiment, the material of the peripheral portion 110 is different from the material of the central portion 120. The peripheral portion can thus be made of a more rigid material than the central portion and be covered, for example, with leather, fabric or synthetic material so as to protect the inner part of the timepiece 10 or the item of jewelry from scratches and / or scuffs.
[0081] The use of an exterior coating also makes it easy to customize the presentation of the support element 100.
[0082] Preferably, the support element 100 is a single-piece element, that is to say that the central portion 120 and the peripheral portion 110 are in one piece.
[0083] The peripheral portion 110 and the central portion 120 may be made from the same material (with different or equivalent properties) or from different materials.
[0084] When the central portion has characteristics, for example hardness and / or density, different from the peripheral portion, the support element can be produced by polymerization or even by bonding of the two portions.
[0085] According to an alternative embodiment, the central portion 120 and the peripheral portion 110 are two separate parts, i.e. produced separately. The central portion 120 and the peripheral portion 110 may have identical or different characteristics and be produced from an identical or different material.
[0086] Thus, in this variant embodiment, the support element 100 may consist of a peripheral portion of the flexible support type formed by a C-shaped strip or blade and a solid central portion made of flexible or foamy material as mentioned in the preceding examples and variant embodiments.
[0087] The strip or blade can be made of spring steel or plastic, for example, and covered with a material such as leather, fabric or even synthetic material.
[0088] The two portions can then be assembled and held together by gluing or even be removable from each other.
[0089] There figure 7illustrates a second exemplary embodiment of a support element 200 according to the invention. This second exemplary embodiment is identical to the first exemplary embodiment as well as to the various embodiment variants mentioned with the exception of the characteristics which will be described subsequently.
[0090] In this second embodiment, the central portion 220 of the support element 200 is formed by the combination of different portions 220a, 220b, 220c arranged on the periphery of the internal cavity 130, extending concentrically, or not, along the axis XX of the internal cavity 230.
[0091] In this second embodiment, two removable portions 220b, 220c are shown. These removable portions 220b, 220c make it possible to modulate the shape and / or dimensions of the internal cavity 230 of the support element 200 when removing the removable portions.
[0092] It is clear that the shape and external dimensions of the removable portions define the shape and dimensions of the internal cavity 130 upon removal of said removable portion in question.
[0093] For example, when the removable portions 220b, 220c are in position, the internal cavity 230 has a circular section of constant dimension along the axis XX of diameter d3. When the first removable portion 220c is removed, the central portion 220 may have different dimensions and / or a different shape. In the exemplary embodiment, the internal cavity 230 has a constant section of circular shape and diameter d1, d1 being greater than d3.
[0094] When the second removable portion 220b is removed in turn, it is possible to modify the shape and dimensions of the internal cavity 130 again. We can then find ourselves in the configuration already described in Figures 2 and 3, with an internal cavity 130 in the form of a counterbore having a first diameter d1 and a second diameter d2.
[0095] The removable portions 220b, 220c are preferably made of the same material as the remaining portion 220a of the central portion 220.
[0096] In a manner identical to the first embodiment described above, the entire central portion 220 is made of a flexible material having elastic or viscoelastic properties. Thus, the central portion 220 can be made of polymer foam, an elastomer, a viscoelastic polymer, etc.
[0097] For example, the soft material is polyurethane foam or polyethylene foam.
[0098] In a manner identical to the first embodiment, the different removable portions 220b, 220c are held in position by friction or by elastic or viscoelastic response of the material.
[0099] We have represented at the figures 8 and 9 , an example of insertion of an accessory 140 into the support element 100 according to the invention, as described and represented with reference to figures 1 to 3 .
[0100] The accessory 140 shown by way of example is a magnifying device, such as for example a watchmaker's loupe, which may have a flared collar 143 at one of its ends.
[0101] The counterbore shape of the internal cavity 130 described with reference to the figure 3 is particularly well suited to the insertion and maintenance of such a magnifying device having a flared collar at one of its ends.
[0102] Thus, as represented in the figure 8, the installation of such an accessory 140 is carried out by the introduction of a first end 141, opposite a second end 142 having the flared collar 143, at the level of the portion of the internal cavity 130 having the largest diameter d1.
[0103] The accessory 140 is introduced inside the internal cavity 130 by translation along the axis XX until it comes into abutment with the annular shoulder 133. The material of the central portion 120 being advantageously flexible and deformable, it is possible to slightly continue the introduction of the accessory inside the internal cavity 130 by elastically deforming the radially internal part of the annular shoulder 133. The accessory 140 is held in place by elastic or viscoelastic response of the material at the annular shoulder 133 and / or at the wall 134 of the internal cavity 133, thus clamping the accessory 140.
[0104] To facilitate the removal of the accessory 140 in position inside the internal cavity 130, the support element 100 comprises a removal member 150 configured to allow the sliding and removal of the accessory 140 outside the internal cavity 130. Such a member 150 makes it possible to prevent the user from pressing directly on the accessory 140 to remove it. Thus, fingerprints and scratches that may be generated on the accessory 140 during this removal operation are avoided.
[0105] The removal member 150 is for example a pull tab having an end 151 that can be easily grasped by the user and an end 152 in contact with the accessory 140 when the latter is inside the internal cavity 130. By pulling on the end 151 of the removal member 150, the user begins the removal of the accessory 140 in the opposite direction to the direction of insertion by moving at least part of the end 152, which subsequently facilitates the gripping of the accessory and its complete removal.
[0106] There figure 10 schematically represents a storage member 300 intended to receive a support element 100, 200 according to the invention.
[0107] The storage member 300 is for example a box having an external envelope 311 of rigid design, for example made of compact cardboard, or of wood, and having a movable portion 312, for example a cover, movable between a closed position and an open position allowing access to the interior of the storage member 300.
[0108] The storage member 300 has at least one first compartment 315 configured to receive the support element 100, 200 according to the invention described previously.
[0109] The storage member 300 may also include at least a second compartment 310 allowing the positioning of additional accessories.
