Description

TECHNICAL FIELD

[0001] The present invention relates to a system comprising a cooking appliance and a child protector for the cooking appliance.PRIOR ART

[0002] While cooking, users tend to leave the kitchen where the food cooks and the cooking appliances function. Sometimes small children are present in the household and may tend to interfere with the cooking dish in the kitchen. The child or the pet may reach the cooking appliance especially to the cooktop. This may cause incredibly harmful accidents and injuries. In order to prevent the access to the cooktop, some blocking covers are invented. However, these solutions lack the robustness and stability. In addition, such items cannot be stored properly after use and cause trouble for the user.

[0003] The document numbered CA2066861 discloses a stove which prevents a small child from approaching the hot burners and getting hurt. In this invention, the top of the stove is surrounded by a shield that prevents small children from putting their hands on the burners and from pulling on the handle of pots and pans while the stove is on. A child protector being rotatable around a width direction of a cooking device is for example disclosed in prior art documents DE 91 08 077 U1, EP 2 249 089 A2 and US 5 758 636 A. A further cooking appliance with a child protector is disclosed in DE 11 39 956 B. For preventing the child protector from pivoting upwards in its position of use, side walls of the child protector are fitted with pull-out rails which, when extended, rest on the rear part of the hob.

[0004] US 2015 / 0233584 A1 discloses A rack for holding cookware on a cooktop has a support rod which is mounted on the cooktop by rod support stands, and a ring shaped support member for cookware removably connected to the support rod by clips. The ring shaped support member has a support leg which is mounted on the cooktop and is connected to the ring shaped support member such that the ring shaped support member is held in an elevated position over a heating element of the cooktop. The ring shaped support member defines an opening through which a vessel portion of cookware may be located.

[0005] EP 0 027 786 A1 relates to a hob guard for a stove and the use of such a hob guard on stoves in various stove locations. In order to yield a hob guard which is adjustable to the stove size as well as is delivered in a flat package it is suggested that the hob guard consists of a flat oblong sheet metal piece. The sheet metal is fitted with hole rows so that the sheet metal easily can be user folded. The sheet metal is further provided with rows of perforated holes for adjustable affixing to other sheet metals. On a fully built-in stove two to each other mirror-image sheets are used, together forming a hob guard at the stove front. On a stove with one or two sides freestanding, one or two further sheets are used for forming a hob guard at the stove sides.

[0006] The invention provides an additional improvement, an additional advantage or an alternative to the prior art.BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
