Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a piece of furniture having a body on which at least one door is movably mounted at an opening, and at least one sliding element is displaceably mounted on the body, wherein the at least one door can be pivoted from a closed position covering the opening into a first open position via a pivoting device, and a method for opening at least one door on a body.
[0002] DE 20 2015 003 223 U1 discloses a piece of furniture with a furniture body featuring a pivoting door and a movable pull-out frame. The pull-out frame can be moved by pivoting the door, but the door protrudes into the room and thus inconveniences the user. The user therefore tends to push the pull-out frame back in immediately after use and close the door.
[0003] EP 2 055 653 A1 discloses a mechanism for moving a carrier for a waste bin, in which a lever mechanism is coupled to a pivoting door, by means of which a waste bin can be pulled out from a retracted position to an extended position. Here, too, a disadvantage is that the door, in the open position, is inconvenient for the user, requiring immediate closing after use. This mechanism is therefore not suitable for moving sliding elements on or in which everyday objects, such as household appliances, for example, coffee machines, toasters, or other items, are stored.
[0004] Furniture is also known from FR 60 685, FR 1 008 995, and FR 1 224 059, in which a pivoting flap can be inserted into a pocket in a furniture body. DE 1 826 773 U discloses an office furniture item with a coffee machine arranged on a pull-out board. The pull-out board can be moved by a hinged lid when the lid is inserted into the furniture and drives a lever that engages an opening in the pull-out board.
[0005] It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a piece of furniture which enables improved use of space and wherein the body can be used in both a closed and an open position.
[0006] This object is achieved by a piece of furniture having the features of claim 1 and a method having the features of claim 11.
[0007] The piece of furniture according to the invention comprises at least one door which can be pivoted from a closed position into a first open position and displaced from this first open position into a second open position, wherein a transmission device enables the sliding element to be moved out in an opening direction by displacing the door. This makes it possible for the door to be selectively pivoted only into the first open position in order to operate, remove, or deposit objects in the carcass, while alternatively the door can be moved from a first open position into a second open position in order to then slide the sliding element out in the opening direction. This allows the door to be moved into an at least partially stowed position, and the household appliance can be operated with the sliding element at least partially, preferably fully, extended. This allows for more flexible use of the furniture, with a coffee machine or toaster attached to the drawer, which can then be easily operated when the drawer is extended. For particularly wide furniture, the door can also be designed with multiple leaves, with the individual door leaves mounted on opposite sides of the opening and stowed in the adjacent sections. For this purpose, a transmission device is installed on both sides, which in turn can have synchronization means to control the operation of the multi-leaf door uniformly. Even with a single-leaf door, the use of one transmission device per side of the drawer is conceivable to ensure uniform operation.
[0008] According to the invention, the transmission device comprises at least one traction means, for example a cable pull, which is connected to the door and the at least one push element. The cable pull can be designed to be circumferential in order to be able to exert tensile forces in opposite directions of movement. It is also possible to form a cable pull from several individual cable pull sections, which then ensure a corresponding coupling of the at least one push element to the door. In an alternative embodiment, the transmission element can also comprise another flexible traction means, for example a belt or chain drive for force-locking and / or positive-locking transmission.
[0009] In a further embodiment, the door can be moved from a first opening position to the second opening position essentially horizontally. This allows the door to be moved relatively smoothly, with the door preferably being pushed into the body, for example, into a receptacle on the body. A portion of the door, for example, a section with a handle element, can still protrude from the body in the second opening position. However, this means that the door is largely stowed away within the body.
[0010] According to the invention, the drawer element is slidably mounted on two pull-out guides. The drawer element is designed as a shelf on which household appliances or other objects are placed or stored.
[0011] The pivoting mechanism is preferably slidably mounted on the body. The pivoting mechanism can comprise one or more hinges that pivot the door about a vertical pivot axis, or alternatively, the door can be pivoted about a horizontal pivot axis. The pivot axis does not have to be stationary, but can be guided along a path of movement, so that four-joint or seven-joint hinges or flap fittings can also be used. In a simple embodiment, the pivoting mechanism comprises only pins that are slidably mounted in a linear guide, so that the door can be both rotated and moved about the pins protruding on opposite sides. Two spaced-apart pivots can be provided on each side of the door, which are movable along two angled guideways. This allows the door to be pivoted in a first step. When both pivots are positioned on the same guideway, the door can be moved linearly. Alternatively, the door is held by hinges or flap fittings that are slidably guided on a slide.
[0012] Preferably, the transmission device enables the at least one sliding element to be extended at least over a first distance when the door is pivoted. As a result, the movement of the door is already utilized to extend the sliding element at least over a small portion of the distance in the opening direction, and then, when the door is moved from the first opening position to the second opening position, the sliding element is extended over a larger portion of the distance in the opening direction. The sliding element is horizontally movable so that it can remain in the extended position, with optional latching or locking devices being provided to secure the sliding element against displacement from the extended opening position.
[0013] In a further embodiment, at least one spring is provided to pretension the cable of the transmission device. This increases comfort when operating the door and / or the sliding element. Furthermore, a damping device can optionally be provided to slow the door during the closing movement from the first opening position to the closed position, thus avoiding harsh impact noises.
[0014] Preferably, a single- or double-leaf door is movably mounted at the opening of the body. Optionally, the door can also be designed as a folding door with at least two hinged door elements, so that the depth of the body can be less than the width of the door formed by two door elements.
[0015] In the method according to claim 11, a door is first pivoted from a closed position to an open position, in order to then move the door from the open position to a second open position, preferably in a horizontal direction, in order to thereby extend a sliding element at least partially in the opening direction via a transmission device. The sliding element can also be moved completely from the closed position to an open position via the transmission device. Only when the door is moved from the second open position back to the first open position can the sliding element then be moved again in the closing direction via the transmission device. This simplifies handling.Alternatively, the door can be moved from the second opening position back to the first opening position by pushing in the sliding element, where it remains for safety reasons and cannot move directly into the closed position or, in the case of horizontal pivot axes, can fall into a closed position.
[0016] The invention will be explained in more detail below using an exemplary embodiment with reference to the accompanying drawings. They show: Figure 1 a perspective view of a piece of furniture according to the invention, the coffee machine or toaster not being shown, Figure 2 a sectioned side view of the Figure 1 in the closed position; Figures 3A to 3C several detailed views of the Figure 2 in the closed position; Figure 4 a sectioned side view of the Figure 1 with door swung up; Figures 5A and 5B two detailed views of the Figure 4 ; Figure 6 a sectioned side view of the Figure 1 when sliding the door from the first opening position to the second opening position; Figure 7 a sectioned side view of the Figure 1 with the door in the second opening position; Figure 8 a sectioned side view of the Figure 1 with the door in the second opening position and the sliding element in the maximum opening position; Figure 9 a detailed view of the Figure 8 ; Figure 10 a sectioned side view of the Figure 1 when inserting the sliding element; Figure 11 a perspective view of the transmission device in the assembled position; Figure 12 a perspective exploded view of the transmission device of the furniture of the Figure 1 ; Figure 13A and 13B perspective views of a modified piece of furniture not according to the invention with a multi-leaf construction, wherein the coffee machine or the toaster are not shown, Figures 14A to 14D perspective views of a modified piece of furniture not according to the invention in different positions, the coffee machine or the toaster not being shown, and Figures 15A to 15D Perspective views of a modified piece of furniture not according to the invention in different positions, the coffee machine or toaster not being shown.
[0017] A piece of furniture 1 comprises a body 2 having a base 4, two side walls 3, a top panel 5, and a rear wall 6. Instead of side walls 3, the body 2 can also have partition walls and can be used as a base cabinet or wall cabinet for a kitchen. A door 7 is provided on the body 2 as a closure element, which door essentially covers an opening in the body 2 in the closed position. The door 7 has a handle 8 on the front and can be pivoted upwards about an essentially horizontal axis. Alternatively, it is possible to pivot the door 7 laterally about a vertical axis, wherein the corresponding pivot axes do not have to be stationary, but can also be moved along a path when opening or closing.
[0018] In Figure 2The furniture 1 is shown in a sectional side view in a closed position, in which the door 7 covers an opening in the body 2. The furniture 1 with the mechanism is mirrored on opposite side walls 3, so that only the mechanism on one side of the furniture 1 is explained. Optionally, only a single mechanism can be provided.
[0019] A holder 13 is provided on the door 7, on which a guide element 33 is formed with outwardly projecting sliders that can be moved in a vertical guide track 32 or a horizontal guide track 14. The guide track 14, 32 is groove-shaped in a side wall 3. A cable pull 15 is fixed to the holder 13 and can be moved together with the door 7.
[0020] The cable pull 15 connects the door 7 to a sliding element 9, which is arranged within the cabinet body 2 in the closed position. The sliding element 9 is mounted for movement via a pull-out guide 10, which may have two or more rails movable relative to one another. In the illustrated embodiment, the pull-out guide 10 has a guide rail 40 fixed to the cabinet body 2, a center rail 41, and a movable guide rail 42 on which the sliding element 9 is held.
[0021] Furthermore, a self-closing mechanism 11 is provided on the pull-out guide 10. This mechanism comprises a stationary housing on which a driver is slidably guided. The driver can be preloaded into a retracted position by a spring and optionally also braked in the closing direction by a damping device. The driver can be coupled over a certain distance to an activator 12, which is fixed to the guide rail 42 and has a projection that can be brought into engagement with the driver. This preloads the sliding element 9 into a closed position, preventing it from striking the door 7, even if the pull-out guide 10 is mounted at a slight angle.
[0022] In the Figures 3A and 3Bthe pivoting device for the door 7 is shown. At an upper corner of the door 7, a guide element 33 is fixed, which is guided by a pin or another sliding element in the horizontal guide track 14 and by another sliding element in a vertical guide track 32, wherein the lower slider of the guide element 33 is first moved vertically along the guide track 32 and can then be inserted into the horizontal guide track 14 in order to move the door 7 horizontally. The door 7 can thus be pivoted and moved along the guide tracks 32 and 14 by two spaced-apart sliding elements. However, it is also possible to provide a carriage instead of two sliding elements, to which hinges or flap fittings are attached in order to guide the pivoting of the door 7.
[0023] In Figure 3CThe sliding element 9 is shown on the pull-out guide 10, which is also connected to the cable pull 15. For this purpose, a connecting element 16 is provided on the guide rail 42, to which the cable pull 15 or a section of the cable pull 15 is fixed.
[0024] In Figure 4 The door 7 is shown in a pivoted-up position, in which the door has been pivoted essentially from a vertical closed position into a horizontal first opening position. The slider on the guide element 33 has been moved along the vertical guide track 32 up to the level of the guide track 14, so that now both sliders are arranged in the guide track 14 and the door 7 can be moved. By pivoting the door, the cable pull was moved slightly, as can be seen from the comparison of the Figures 3A and 5AThis allows the sliding element 9 to be optionally extended over an initial distance. Alternatively, the sliding element 9 initially remains in the retracted closed position during the pivoting movement of the door 7, and is only extended when the door 7 is pushed into the body 2.
[0025] In Figure 6 The door 7 is pushed into the body 2, whereby the two sliding elements are moved along the horizontal guide track 14. This causes the cable pull 15 to move and pull the sliding element 9 into an opening position via the connecting element 16. As shown in Figure 5B As shown, the cable pull 15 is connected to the connecting element 16 on opposite sides, and by moving the pull-out guide 10, the activator leaves the self-retracting mechanism 11.
[0026] The cable pull 15 is guided in a substantially U-shape on a side wall of the body 2 and initially runs substantially horizontally from a deflection pulley 23, which is rotatably mounted on a web 25, to a plate 17, which is fixed to the side wall 3 in the rear region of the body adjacent to the rear wall 6. A plurality of deflection pulleys 22 for deflecting the cable pull 15 are provided on the plate 17, as well as two tensioning elements. A first tensioning element comprises a slider 18, which is slidably mounted on the plate 17 and is pretensioned by a spring 27. A second tensioning element comprises a displaceable slider 20, which is pretensioned by a spring 28, with a deflection pulley 21 being rotatably mounted on the slider 20. The deflection pulleys 19 and 21, which are rotatably mounted on the slides 18 and 20, ensure that the cable 15 is tensioned. In addition, the tensioning devices provide a certain buffer, so that a movement of the door 7 is not transmitted directly to the sliding element 9, but rather with a time delay via the tensioning element with the slide 20 or the tensioning device with the slide 18. Furthermore, a damping device 29 is provided on the plate 17, which is designed as a linear damper and can brake the slide 18.
[0027] In Figure 7 the door 7 has been moved into the second opening position, in which the door 7 is arranged predominantly on an upper receptacle in the body 2 and only an end section with the handle 8 protrudes from the body 2. The sliding element 9 is currently in the ejection phase and is moved via the pull-out guide 10 into the maximum opening position, which is Figure 8is shown. The slider 20 is used for this purpose and is pretensioned in the lower position by the spring 28, which is designed as a tension spring, so that the cable pull 15 moves further after reaching the end position on the door 7 until the sliding element 9 is also arranged in the maximum opening position, at which the connecting element 16 is located below a deflection roller 24. The deflection roller 24 is rotatably mounted on a web 26 which, together with the web 25 and the plate 17, forms an assembly unit for the cable pull 15. Optionally, the deflection rollers 23 and 24 can also be mounted directly on the side wall 3.
[0028] In the Figure 8 In the illustrated opening position of the sliding element 9, the user can place a device on the sliding element 9, for example a
[0029] Coffee machine or a toaster or other appliances can be used without the door 7 being an obstruction, since it is mostly stored in the body 2. In this respect, the furniture 1 can also be used with the door 7 open without the door 7 hindering the user.
[0030] Once use is complete, the sliding element 9 can be retracted into the body 2 by moving the door 7 from the second opening position back to the first opening position, and the door 7 can be brought into a closed position in order to arrange the device or objects safely on the sliding element 9. Alternatively, the door can also be moved from the second opening position back to the first opening position by pushing the sliding element in. Figure 9 the connecting element 16 is shown in the maximum opening position, wherein the deflection roller 24 is covered by a cover 31.
[0031] In Figure 10The sliding element 9 was moved in the closing direction, whereby the connecting element 16 has moved a greater distance away from the deflection roller 24 than the door 7 has moved from the second opening position. This is because part of the cable pull 15 has been stored in the area of the plate 17 by moving the slider 18, since the deflection roller 19 has moved away from the damping device 29. The user can now move the door 7 using the handle 8 and shift it into the first opening position, which is shown in Figure 4 is shown. From this position, the door 7 can be pivoted back into the closed position, whereby the sliding element 9 is automatically moved into the closed position by moving the door 7.
[0032] In Figure 11The transmission mechanism is shown in the rear area on the side wall 3. The cable 15 is guided on the plate 17 over several deflection rollers 22, which are arranged stationary and mounted only for rotation. Also visible is the upper slider 18, which is tensioned by a spring 27, in particular a tension spring. When the sliding element 9 is pulled, the slider 18 is moved against the force of the spring 27, and the damping device 29 prevents the slider 18 from hitting a stop without braking, for example, if the door 7 is not yet pushed far enough into the body 2. A slider 20 is also provided on the other strand of the cable 15. This slider 20 is pretensioned by the spring 28 as a tension spring and prevents any movement of the door 7 from being transmitted directly to the sliding element 9, but only via the storage device with the movable deflection roller 21.
[0033] For transport, an assembly aid 43, 44 is also inserted into each of the slides 18, 20, which are pre-tensioned by the springs 27, 28, as a transport lock. This allows at least one traction device to be installed with virtually no tension. Alternatively, the assembly aid 43, 44 can also directly secure the springs 27, 28.
[0034] In Figure 12the transmission mechanism between the door 7 and the sliding element 9 is shown in detail. On an upper web 25 there is a stationary deflection pulley 23 for the cable pull, and on a lower web 26 there is another stationary deflection pulley 24. In the rear area, the plate 17 is provided with numerous deflection pulleys 22, on which the two sliders 18 and 20 are also provided, each with a movable deflection pulley 19 and 21, whereby the sliders are pre-tensioned by springs 27 and 28. This keeps the cable pull 15 constantly taut. The transmission mechanism is concealed from the interior of the body 2 by strip-shaped covers 31 and the plate 17 by a cover 30. The cable pull 15 is essentially U-shaped in order to connect the door 7 to the sliding element 9.
[0035] In the illustrated embodiment, the door 7 is connected to only one sliding element 9. It is also possible to connect the door 7 to two or more sliding elements that can move over different distances in the opening direction.
[0036] In the illustrated embodiment, the door 7 is designed as a pivoting flap that can be stowed beneath a top panel 5 on the body 2. It is also possible to mount the door 7 so that it can rotate about a substantially vertical axis and to slide the door 7 into a recess on the side of the body 2. Furthermore, if the width-to-depth ratio of the furniture is unfavorable, it is also possible to close the opening with a double-leaf door and slide the individual door leaves into opposite sections of the body 2.
[0037] In Figures 13A and 13BAn alternative design of a piece of furniture 1' not according to the invention is shown, in which an opening of a body can be closed by two doors 7', i.e. by a multi-leaf door. For this purpose, each door 7' is pivotally mounted on a carriage 13' via one or more hinges about a substantially vertical axis.
[0038] Opening movement into the Figure 13BIn the position shown, each door 7' can then be pushed into the body 2' on the carriage 13' in order to at least partially stow the door 7' in the body 2'. By pushing the door 7' from the first opening position into a second pushed-in opening position, a transmission device moves a sliding element 9', in particular a drawer, out of the body 2' in an opening direction. The carriage 13' can be guided along two spaced-apart guide tracks. The transmission device can correspond to the previous exemplary embodiment, wherein synchronization of the movement sequences of the two doors 7' can optionally also be provided, so that they are opened or closed together.
[0039] In Figures 14A to 14DA further embodiment of a piece of furniture 1' not according to the invention is shown, in which an opening of a body 2' can be closed by a door 7', which is designed as a folding door with at least two door elements 7a and 7b held together in an articulated manner. The door element 7b facing the center of the body is displaceable along a guide on a front side of the body 2' in order to be moved from a closed position ( Fig. 14A ) to be unfolded ( Fig. 14B ) into a first opening position ( Fig. 14C). From the first opening position, the folded door 7' can then be pushed into the body 2' by means of a slide 13' in order to arrange the door 7' at least partially within the body 2'. As in the previous exemplary embodiments, by pushing the door 7' from the first opening position into a second inserted opening position, a transmission device moves a sliding element 9' held on pull-out guides 10 out of the body 2' in an opening direction, as already described in detail above.
[0040] In the Figures 15A to 15DAn embodiment of a piece of furniture 1' not according to the invention is shown, in which, according to the embodiment of Figures 14A to 14D, a door 7' is provided as a folding door with two door elements 7a and 7b at the opening of the body 2'. A sliding element 90 arranged in the body 2' is designed as an inner body and has a base 91, side walls 92, and a top panel 93. Optionally, a dividing panel 94 can be provided in the inner body for further subdivision. The sliding element 90 fills an interior space of the body 2' in a retracted position, wherein the sliding element 90 can optionally be adapted to the respective intended use.
