Description

TECHNICAL AREA OF INVENTION

[0001] The invention relates to a wringing device according to the preamble of claim 1 and a wringing system according to the preamble of claim 12. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002] German patent application DE 10 102 569 discloses a wringing device for a flat mop cover, comprising a downwardly tapered, essentially funnel-shaped wringing chamber with counter-pressure surfaces. The mop cover can be inserted into this chamber from above when the mop head is in an essentially vertical position and wrung out by pressing on the handle. For wringing, the mop head is at least partially inserted into the wringing chamber, so that its downward-facing end face forms a pressure surface. First guide elements are provided on the opposing inner walls of the wringing chamber, the distance between which is dimensioned such that the mop head is supported on both sides simultaneously when inserted into the wringing chamber.Additionally, to prevent tipping in a second plane perpendicular to the first, a second set of guide elements is provided on at least one of the two first inner walls. Corresponding counter-guide elements on the wiper plate rest against these guide elements. The wringing chute has a widening feed funnel at its upper end. This facilitates the insertion of the wiper cover and the wiper plate into the wringing chute. A disadvantage of this wringing device is that tipping in the second direction is only effectively prevented when the wiper plate is inserted deep into the wringing chute.

[0003] Another solution, in which the force is applied not via the handle but via a lever, is disclosed in patent DE 10 2004 026 837 B4. This patent shows a mopping device with a mop plate for a mop cover, wherein the mop plate has at least one first connecting device that can be connected to at least one second connecting device of a wringing device for wringing out the mop cover. The first connecting device is formed by a recess on the side of the mop plate facing away from the mop cover or by an opening in the mop plate. The second connecting device forms a lever assembly comprising an actuating lever and a pressing lever connected to the actuating lever.

[0004] DE102004026837 relates to a wiping device with a wiping plate for a wiping cover, a wringing device for a wiping device with a wiping plate for a wiping cover, wherein the wiping plate comprises two hinged wiping plate parts, wherein the wringing device comprises a funnel-shaped wringing chute into which the wiping cover, with the wiping plate parts in a substantially vertical position, partially detached from them and hanging downwards, can be inserted from above and wrung out by actuating the wringing device, wherein the opposite transverse sides of the wiping plate parts form contact surfaces. The mop head of the mop has at least one first connecting element that can be connected to at least one second connecting element of a wringing device for wringing out the mop cover. The first connecting element is formed by a recess on the side of the mop head facing away from the mop cover or by a perforation in the mop head. The mop has the advantage that a connecting element arranged directly on the mop head enables a reliable transmission of the forces necessary for wringing.

[0005] German patent application DE 20 2016 001 397 U1 discloses a cleaning bucket arrangement comprising an outer bucket and an inner bucket with a smaller capacity. The outer bucket is designed to hold the inner bucket in a stable and detachable arrangement within the outer bucket. The inner bucket has a wringing unit and is designed to collect dirty water from the wringing unit. The wringing unit is, for example, a known press for wringing out a mop or the like. In this context, the term "wringing unit" refers to any type of device suitable for squeezing or wringing out the dirty water contained in a mop, cleaning device, or cleaning tool for wet cleaning after a cleaning process. The inner bucket and the wringing unit are designed to form a single attachment for the outer bucket. This can be achieved by clipping the wringing unit and the inner bucket together. The wringing unit and inner bucket then form a firmly but detachably connected unit that can be handled as an attachment, placed on the outer bucket as a whole, and removed from it again.

[0006] US Patent 2003 / 167589 A1 discloses a wringing device for a flat mop head, comprising a downwardly tapered, essentially funnel-shaped wringing chamber with counter-pressure surfaces. The mop head can be inserted into the wringing chamber from above, essentially with the mop head in a vertical position. The wringing device includes features for stabilizing the mop head against tilting during insertion and wringing of the mop head in the wringing chamber. A feed funnel extends upwards from the wringing chamber, widening conically towards the top and serving as an insertion aid for the mop head. Rectangular openings are arranged on two opposite sides of the feed funnel, into which the two ends of a central section of the mop head, fixedly attached to the handle, engage when inserted into the wringing chamber. The distance between the side walls of the wringing chamber, which form the counter-pressure surfaces, is dimensioned such that the wiper plate is supported by both walls simultaneously when inserted into the wringing chamber, thus stabilizing it against tilting towards these side walls. Tilting in a perpendicular direction is prevented by guide elements provided in the wringing chamber and corresponding counter-guide elements on the wiper plate. TASK

[0007] It is therefore an object of the present invention to propose an improved wringing device that is stable yet lightweight. Another object is to propose an improved wringing device that is simple and inexpensive to manufacture. A further object is to provide a wringing device with which a cleaning cloth can be wrung out without having to handle it. A further object is to propose a wringing system consisting of a bucket and a wringing device with which a cleaning cloth can be wrung out quickly and effectively. DESCRIPTION

[0008] The invention relates to a wringing device for a mop according to the combined features of claim 1, which includes a funnel. Advantageously, the U-shaped recesses serve to receive a central part of a mop with fold-down wings. Such mops are characterized in that the wings can be identical.

[0009] Advantageously, the insertion shaft has an insertion section and an outer cylindrical collar extending downwards from the upper edge. This allows the insertion shaft to be designed to be very stable.

[0010] The recesses are advantageously designed in the insertion section and the collar. This ensures good guidance. The first walls of the insertion section are advantageously connected to the collar by connecting walls. This results in a rigid construction without requiring the walls to be very thick.

[0011] Preferably, the U-shaped recesses are conically shaped, i.e., slightly wider at the top than at the bottom. This facilitates the insertion of the middle part of a mop during the wringing process.

[0012] The wringing device, unlike prior art wringing devices, is advantageously designed as a single piece. This has the advantage that the wringing device can be manufactured by injection molding in a single injection molding operation.

[0013] Preferably, reinforcing ribs are provided below the recesses between the lower collar edge and a connecting section, preferably running perpendicular to the first walls. This stiffens the actual funnel and allows it to withstand high forces during wringing.

[0014] Advantageously, the guide ribs extend from the funnel into the insertion section. This has the advantage that the wringing device is extremely torsionally rigid.

[0015] Advantageously, the guide ribs have a first upper section with a wide opening angle and a second lower section with a narrower opening angle. This facilitates the insertion of a mop pad into the wringing mechanism. Furthermore, the guide ribs reinforce the entire wringing mechanism.

[0016] According to a preferred embodiment, downward-projecting locking elements are provided on opposite narrow sides of the collar. These locking elements allow the wringing device to be positively connected to a bucket.

[0017] The present invention also relates to a wringing system with a wringing device according to the invention and a bucket designed to receive the wringing device.

[0018] Advantageously, the bucket features a recess for the wringing device. This ensures that the wringing device is permanently attached to the bucket.

[0019] The wringing device is advantageously positioned on two opposing side walls and within the rim of the bucket. This ensures that the wringing device does not protrude laterally beyond the rim of the bucket.

[0020] Advantageously, the seat for the wringing device is formed by two inwardly projecting shoulders located on two opposite side walls of the bucket. This design has the advantage that the bucket can be thin-walled and lightweight, yet still able to withstand high forces.

[0021] The inward-projecting ridges are advantageously achieved by providing U-shaped indentations on the two opposing broad sides of the bucket. These indentations significantly stiffen the bucket.

[0022] Preferably, the U-shaped indentations extend from the bottom to just below the rim of the bucket. This allows the bucket to be approximately the same height as conventional buckets. Advantageously, the U-shaped indentations narrow from bottom to top. This facilitates demolding the bucket and also provides additional reinforcement.

[0023] The wringer attachment can be positioned asymmetrically with respect to a central plane running through the bucket's broad side, i.e., closer to one of the two narrow sides. This has the advantage of providing more space on one side of the wringer to immerse the mop with the attached mop pad into the bucket.

[0024] Advantageously, locking mechanisms are provided between the seat for the wringing device and the wringing device itself, in order to detachably connect the wringing device to the bucket. These locking mechanisms can be formed by recesses provided in the seat.

[0025] A preferred embodiment of the invention is described in more detail below with reference to the figures. It shows: Fig. 1 A wiping device according to the invention with a support part for attaching a wiping cloth and a handle; Fig. 2 A wiping system according to the invention consisting of a bucket with an attached wringing device and a wiping device in which the wings of the support part are folded down; Fig. 3 A wiping cloth with two tabs for attachment to a support part of a wiping device; Fig. 4 A perspective top view of a support part with a closed holding device; Fig. 5 The support part of Fig. 4 with open holding device; Fig. 6 A perspective view of the underside of the support part with closed holding device; Fig. 7 An exploded view of the support part with locking device for securing the support wings to a central part and the holding device; Fig. 8 The locking device of Fig. 7in enlarged scale; Fig. 9 A longitudinal section through the locking device in the closed position; Fig. 10 A longitudinal section through the locking device in the open position; Fig. 11 A perspective view of the holding device, consisting of a built-in part and a sliding part, and the intermediate piece of a support part wing, from a top oblique angle; Fig. 12 A perspective bottom view of the intermediate piece and the holding device in the open position; Fig. 13 A bottom view (a), side views (b) and (c), front view (d), rear view (e), and top view (f) of the sliding part and the holding device; Fig. 14 A bottom view (a), side views (b) and (d), top view (c), and rear view (e) of the sliding part; Fig. 15 A bucket with a wringing device according to the invention; Fig. 16 How Fig. 15, however with the wringing device raised; Figs. 17, 18 Side views of the bucket with the wringing device; Fig. 19 A top view of the bucket with the wringing device; Fig. 20 A section through the bucket with the wringing device raised; and Fig. 20 A section through the bucket with the wringing device in the working position.

[0026] The figures show a floor cleaning system 9 comprising a mop 11 and a bucket 13 with a wringing device 15. The floor cleaning system 9 has several innovations compared to known systems, which relate on the one hand to the floor cleaning system 9 as a whole and on the other hand to the mop 11 and the wringing device 15.

[0027] The wiping device 11 comprises a plate-like support part 19 for a wiping cloth and a handle 23, which is articulated to the central part 25 of the support part 19 in a known manner via a double hinge to ensure movement in all directions. Two support part wings 27 are articulated to the central part 25 and are pivotable about a pivot axis 29. In the working position, the support part wings 27, hereinafter also simply referred to as wings, lie against the central part 25, i.e., are in a common plane, and in the release position they hang vertically from the central part 25. Fig. 2 ).

[0028] A locking device 31 ensures that the wings 27 can be detachably locked to the central part 25 ( Figs. 7 to 10The locking device 31 can be configured identically or similarly to that disclosed in EP-A-1 352 604. The contents of EP-A-1 352 604 are therefore hereby incorporated into the present patent application by reference.

[0029] The locking device 31 comprises an actuating element 33, which is received in a through-opening 35 provided in the central part 25. At the upper end of the actuating element 33, which projects from the central part 25, an actuating head 36 is provided, which can be actuated by a user of the mop with their foot. The actuating element 33 and the actuating head 36 are connected to each other by a screw 38 ( Figs. 9 and 10At the lower end of the actuating element 33, a first cam surface 37 is provided on one side, which can interact with a second cam surface 39 of a slidable bolt 41. The bolt 41 is slidably mounted in the central section 25 and biased into a locking position by a spring 43, which is supported against a side wall 44. Detent hooks 45 with undercuts 47 are provided on the wings 27, which can engage a recess 49 of the bolt 41 in the locking position. In the illustrated embodiment, the first and second cam surfaces 37, 39 are designed as inclined surfaces or ramps, which convert the vertical movement of the actuating element 33 into a horizontal movement of the bolt 41.When a user stands with his foot on the actuating head 35, the actuating element 33 moves downwards and shifts the bolt 41 from left to right via the interacting first and second cam surfaces 37,39 (. Figs. 9 and 10 In the lower extreme position, the actuating element 33 is locked in place by another locking hook 50 engaging a projection 51 on the wing. Here too, the locking hook 50 slides over an inclined surface 52 until it engages the projection 51. In this position, the locking hooks 45 are exposed, and the wings 27 can move from their coplanar position when the central section 25 is raised. Once the central section 25 is raised sufficiently, the wings 27 hang vertically from the central section 25 due to gravity.

[0030] In the illustrated embodiment, the wings 27 essentially comprise three parts, namely a connecting part 55, an intermediate part 57 and an end part 59 ( Fig. 11The connecting part 55, intermediate piece 57 and end part 59 are designed so that they can be plugged together and then fixed to each other by means of a fastening device.

[0031] The intermediate piece 57 consists of a plate 61 which transitions on the opposite longitudinal sides into a U-shaped channel 63, the laterally outwardly directed, rounded base 65 of which forms an outer side wall 67 ( Fig. 8 The channel 63 is closed on the inside by a longitudinally extending, straight wall 69, which is perpendicular to the plate 61. Furthermore, the lower leg 71 of the U-shaped channel 63 projects a short distance beyond the wall 69, so that an undercut 74 is formed by the inwardly projecting web 73. This creates a guide contour 75 between the plate 61 and the web 73, into which the correspondingly shaped longitudinal sides of the connecting part 55 and the end part 59 can be inserted.

[0032] At the proximal rear end 75 of the plate 61, a U-shaped recess 79 is provided between the channels 63. The central part 25 is partially received in this recess 79 when the wings 27 are aligned.

[0033] The connecting part 55 comprises a rectangular base plate 81, which has a connecting block 85 on each side in the rear area 83. A bore 84 extending transversely to the wing 27 is provided in this connecting block 85, which serves to receive an axle pin 86 ( Fig. 8 In its finished state, the axle pin 86 extends through the bores 84 of the two connecting blocks 85 and corresponding axle pin receptacles 88 in the side walls 90 of the central part 25.

[0034] In the front area 87, the base plate 81 has a circumferential wall 89 projecting upwards at a right angle. This wall is shaped on its longitudinal sides so that its outer contour 92 fits into the guide contour 75. Between the lateral connecting blocks 85, the locking hooks 45 mentioned above are arranged side by side on the base plate 81, i.e., perpendicular to the longitudinal direction 91 of the wing 27. In the middle between the locking hooks 45 is a recess 91 in which the projection 49 with the inclined surface 52 is located, which can interact with the locking hook 45.

[0035] The connecting blocks 85 each have a tapered mounting pin 95 on their front end face 93, which extends longitudinally along the support section and at a short distance from the front area 87 of the base plate 81. The mounting pin 95 is designed so that it can be inserted into the channel 63 with minimal play. Through a hole 97 in the channel 63, the mounting section can be fixed to the intermediate piece 57 with a screw 99 ( Fig. 6 ).

[0036] The outer contour of the connection blocks 85 corresponds to that of the U-shaped channel 63. This ensures a flush transition between the plate 61 and the connection blocks 85 when the connection part 55 is inserted, contributing to an attractive visual appearance. When the connection part 55 is positioned on the intermediate piece 57, the underside of the base plate is essentially flush with the leg 71 of the U-shaped channel.

[0037] The end part 59 is designed in two parts in the illustrated embodiment and comprises a mounting part 101 and a sliding part 103, which is slidably received in the mounting part 101 ( Fig. 7 and 11 and 13 The installation part 101 has an end wall 105 in the width of the intermediate piece 57, to which, analogous to the connection part 55, a fastening pin 107 oriented towards the intermediate piece 57 is formed on both sides ( Fig. 13 The outer contour of the mounting pins 107 is designed to match the inner contour of the channels 63, so that the mounting pins 107 can be received in the channels 63 with as little play as possible. Like the mounting pins of the connecting part, the mounting pins 107 can be screwed to the intermediate piece 57 by means of a screw 99 each, through a hole 97 provided in the channel 63. Fig. 6 ).

[0038] Between the fastening pins 105 and at a distance from the central longitudinal axis, two locking elements 109 are provided on the end wall 105 on the intermediate side. The locking elements 109 extend longitudinally and each has a widened head 111, which, together with the first and second undercuts 113, 115 of the sliding part 103, defines a first and a second locking position ( Figs. 13 and 14 ).

[0039] The sliding part 103 comprises an end piece 104 the same width as the intermediate piece 57 and a rectangular base plate 117 molded onto it, which can be received in the intermediate piece 57. The base plate 117 has an upwardly projecting circumferential wall 119. The side walls 123 of the circumferential wall 119 have an outer contour 121 that fits interlockingly with the guide contour 75 of the intermediate piece. The sliding part 103 is guided longitudinally in the guide contour 75 of the intermediate piece. Parallel to and at a distance from the side walls 123 of the wall 119, a locking structure 125 extends with the undercuts 113, 115 already mentioned above. The undercuts 113, 115 are separated from each other in the longitudinal direction and, in conjunction with the heads 111, define a first detent position in which the sliding part 103 rests against the installation part 101, and a second detent position in which the end piece 104 is spaced away from the end wall 105 of the installation part 101, so that a tab of a wiping textile can be passed through the gap 125 then existing between the installation part 101 and the sliding part (. Fig. 12 ).

[0040] The mounting part 101 and the sliding part 103 are positively connected to each other. For this purpose, a U-shaped recess 127 is provided in the end wall 105 of the mounting part 101 at the distance of the side walls 123, in which the side walls can be received with minimal play. When the mounting part 101 is firmly connected to the intermediate piece 57, the sliding part 103 can be moved between the two locking positions, but cannot be removed individually.

[0041] According to a preferred embodiment, a slot 129 for receiving a tab of a wiper cloth is provided between the mounting part 101 and the sliding part 103 when the sliding part 103 rests against the mounting part 101, i.e., is in the first detent position. For this purpose, a U-shaped recess 131, the width of a tab, is provided on the side of the end piece 104 facing the intermediate piece 57. This recess increases in size from top to bottom and defines a first inclined surface 133. Opposite the first inclined surface 133, a wedge 135 with a second inclined surface 137 is formed on the mounting part 101. This second inclined surface corresponds to the first inclined surface 133 such that, in longitudinal section, an inwardly sloping slot 129 is formed. Fig. 6 ).

[0042] To enable a user to easily grasp the sliding part 103 by hand and move it from the first detent position to the second detent position and vice versa, a grip recess 139 is provided on it.

[0043] To prevent the sliding part 103 from unintentionally detaching from the first locking position when wringing out a water-soaked wiper cloth 17 under the force of gravity, a locking device is provided with which the sliding part 103 can be secured in the first locking position ( Fig. 11For this purpose, a round hole 143 with two opposing semicircular recesses 145 is provided in the intermediate piece 57. The round hole 143 with the two semicircular recesses 145 serves to receive a cylindrical locking pin 147. The locking pin 147 has a head 149 with a beam-shaped handle 151. Two opposing semicircular protrusions 153 are provided on the locking pin 147. The semicircular protrusions 153 extend from the end of the locking pin in its longitudinal direction and terminate at a distance from the head 149 that corresponds to the thickness of the plate 61. This allows the locking pin 147, which is fully inserted into the round hole 143, to be rotated. If the semicircular protrusions 153 are arranged transversely to the wings 27, they lie against the locking elements 109, or spread them apart, thus preventing the locking elements 109 from freeing themselves from the first locking position. To secure the locking pin 147 in its engaged position, recesses 155 are provided on the locking elements 109. Furthermore, a projection 157 with a transversely extending, elastically compliant arm 159 is formed on the end wall 105 of the installation part 101, located midway between the locking elements 109. A semicircular recess 161 is provided on the arm 159, into which the locking pin 147 can engage in the open position, i.e., when the protrusions 153 are oriented longitudinally along the wings 27.

[0044] A wiping textile 17 can be attached to the wiping device according to the invention by means of two tabs 163 ( Fig. 3The tabs 163 are sewn transversely to the upper surface of the wiping textile 17 at a distance from its end faces. The free end of each tab 163 has a thickening 165, which ensures that a tab 163, once inserted into the slot 129, is securely held in place. Advantageously, the thickening is created by folding the tab over two or three times and then sewing it down.

[0045] A wringing device 201 is provided for wringing out the wiping textile. The wringing device comprises a funnel 203 with openings 205 for wash water and an inlet shaft 207 adjoining the top of the funnel 203, which consists of an inlet section 209 and an outer cylindrical collar 211, which is connected to the collar 211 via the upper edge 213.

[0046] Funnel 203 and inlet section 209 are formed by two converging first walls 215 and two second walls 217 connecting the first walls 215. The first walls 215 form the broad sides, and the second walls 217 the narrow sides of the wringing device 201.

[0047] In the actual funnel 203, which makes up approximately one third of the height of the entire wringing device, the passage openings 205 are provided in the form of vertical slots, through which squeezed-out wastewater can flow into a bucket below.

[0048] To prevent the folded wings 27 of the wiping device 11 from tilting in a first direction perpendicular to the walls 215 forming the broad sides, two spaced-apart guide ribs 221 are provided on the inner sides of the walls 215. These guide ribs 221 extend from the funnel 203 into the insertion shaft 207 and define a wide opening angle in an upper section 210 to facilitate the insertion of a wiping cloth into the wringing funnel 203. The distance between the guide ribs 221 is less than the width of the wings 27. As a result, the wings 27 are held in a substantially vertical position between the opposing guide ribs 221 when inserted into the insertion section 209.

[0049] To prevent the wiping device from tilting in a second direction perpendicular to the first, two U-shaped recesses 225 extending downwards from the upper edge 213 are provided in the opposing walls 215 of the insertion section 209 and the outer collar 211. The recesses 225 are a certain amount wider than the central part 25 of the support part 19, so that the latter can be easily inserted into the recesses 225. When wringing out a wiping cloth, the recesses 225 serve to receive the central part 25 of the wiping device 11 and prevent the wiping device 11 from tilting in the second direction. Fig. 2 ).

[0050] The wringing device 201 can be placed on a bucket 231. The bucket 231, for receiving the wringing device 201 described above, has a rectangular plan and consists of a base 233 and four side walls 235, 237, wherein two opposing side walls are identical and are therefore designated with the same reference numeral. The side walls 235 forming the broad sides preferably have U-shaped indentations 239 symmetrically about a central plane, extending from the base 233 to below the rim 241 of the bucket 231. The indentations 239 narrow from bottom to top and form inwardly projecting shoulders 243 at the upper end, which serve to receive the wringing device.

[0051] According to the preferred embodiment shown, the opposing base walls 245 of the indentations 239 transition into the bucket rim 241 in an S-shape, thereby forming U-shaped recesses 246 extending longitudinally along the bucket. An elongated recess 247 is provided in the center of each recess. These recesses 247 each serve to receive locking lugs 249, which are provided on opposite sides of the collar 211. When the wringing device 201 is placed on the bucket 231, the locking lugs 249 can engage with the undercuts 244 in the recesses 245a, 245b ( Fig. 21 ).

[0052] A special feature of the described wringing device is that it is manufactured in one piece. It can be produced cost-effectively as an injection-molded part from a thermoplastic material, e.g., PE or PP. Legend:
