Description

[0001] The invention relates to a chimney with a fireplace arranged in the lower part of the chimney.

[0002] DE 20 2008 018 205 U1 describes a chimney in which the fireplace is arranged in the chimney base, i.e. in the lower part of the chimney. The chimney base of this chimney has a cavity inside, in the lower part of which the fireplace is accommodated and the upper part of which is designed as a free space through which the exhaust pipe of the fireplace is led. The cavity is covered at the top by an adapter plate through which the exhaust pipe extends. The upper part of the chimney with an exhaust gas outlet pipe is arranged above the adapter plate. The fireplace is designed as a convection fireplace. The cavity in which the fireplace is arranged forms a convection space for the convection air flow flowing through the cavity. For this purpose, convection slots are formed in the chimney base at the height of the base of the fireplace and at a distance above the fireplace.

[0003] DE 10 2008 043 263 B4, EP 3 415 801 A1, and EP 2 682 680 B1 describe chimneys with a structure that is essentially the same as that of EP 1 437 550 B1. The same applies to US 4,384,566 A. In the chimneys described in these documents, convection slots are also formed in the chimney base accommodating the fireplace, at a height below the floor of the fireplace and at a distance above the fireplace, as inlets and outlets for the convection air flow.

[0004] US 4,422,437 describes a stove with a brick body. The stove has a fireplace housing located within the brick body. A flue pipe is connected to the top of the fireplace housing and exits through the top plate of the brick body. Convection air slots are formed in the brick body at a height below the bottom of the fireplace housing and in the upper part of the body at a distance above the fireplace housing, serving as inlets and outlets for the convection air flow.

[0005] EP 2 918 916 A1 describes a heating device with a storage fireplace with a stove pipe extending out of the upper end. The housing of the fireplace has a flame chamber with a refractory solid body suspended therein. A viewing glass door is arranged on the front of the housing. The refractory solid body is intended to create a classic flame pattern of a heating device fired with lump fuel. The flame chamber is delimited by wall sections made of fireclay material, namely a side wall and a bottom wall, as well as a baffle plate in the upper part of the flame chamber. A heat accumulator is arranged above the baffle plate in the fireplace housing. The heating device is operated with granular fuel.

[0006] The invention is based on the object of further developing a chimney of the type mentioned at the beginning in such a way that heating and / or thermal advantages are achieved.

[0007] This object is achieved by the invention with the subject matter of the main claim 1. It is a chimney which comprises the following three chimney stages: a lower first chimney stage which has a fireplace, a second chimney stage arranged above the first chimney stage which has an exhaust pipe which passes through the second chimney stage and is connected to the fireplace, a third chimney stage arranged above the second chimney stage which is designed as an upper chimney and has a vertical exhaust pipe connected to the exhaust pipe of the second chimney stage in order to guide the exhaust gas vertically upwards out of the chimney into the open air and preferably has a vertical supply air pipe in order to supply combustion air to the fireplace.

[0008] Regarding the design of the common body, the invention provides that the common body is formed as a cylindrical or cuboid hollow body. Furthermore, the invention provides that the cylindrical or cuboid hollow body is formed from concrete masonry units and / or concrete casing blocks and / or one-piece pipe sections and / or from storey-high pipe sections or as a one-piece concrete body, preferably a one-piece pipe body or a one-piece U-profile body.

[0009] In an embodiment not claimed here, the fireplace arranged in the first chimney stage is designed as a storage fireplace.

[0010] According to the invention, it is essential that the first chimney stage and the second chimney stage are designed as a common structural unit which forms the chimney foot or the chimney base, that the first chimney stage and the second chimney stage have a common body or a common supporting structure, that a preferably horizontally extending intermediate wall is formed between the first chimney stage and the second chimney stage, which intermediate wall is designed to rest on the fireplace on its housing or is arranged directly above the fireplace at a distance or is designed as the head of the fireplace in one piece with its housing.Advantageously, it can be provided that the partition wall is formed as a part of the common body and / or the common supporting structure of the chimney base or the chimney plinth or is supported on, in or on the body of the chimney base or the chimney plinth.

[0011] According to the invention, the partition wall separates the lower cavity of the body from the upper cavity of the body. The fireplace is located in the lower cavity. The exhaust pipe extends through the upper cavity, and optionally also a supply air duct and, if applicable, other components, such as a soot removal device and exhaust gas purification device, extend through the upper cavity. The horizontal partition wall can preferably form a thermal separation between the cavities and can also be advantageous for handling the components housed in the upper cavity.

[0012] What distinguishes a storage fireplace from a convection fireplace is: While a storage fireplace releases its heat slowly and with a time delay to the room via radiation due to the storage mass and the lack of rear ventilation, a convection fireplace is designed in such a way that it stands in a cavity which receives air from the room via an air supply opening at the bottom, this air is heated in the cavity and then released back into the room via an opening at the top of the cavity.

[0013] Particular advantages can arise with designs in which the fireplace designed as a storage fireplace is predominantly designed as a storage fireplace in such a way that the heat generated in the fireplace is primarily stored in the chimney and radiated on the outside of the first chimney stage and / or the second chimney stage.

[0014] Preferred embodiments provide that the second chimney stage has at least one inspection opening, wherein is designed to inspect the exhaust gas path and / or soot removal; and / or is designed to inspect the supply line.

[0015] In preferred embodiments, it is provided that the first chimney stage and the second chimney stage are designed as a common structural unit which forms the chimney base or the chimney plinth.

[0016] Particularly preferred embodiments provide that one or more of the chimney stages are designed as a prefabricated part or are formed from one or more prefabricated parts.

[0017] It can be provided that the first chimney stage is formed from a prefabricated part and / or is designed as a prefabricated part, preferably comprising a factory-supplied first chimney section with a factory-assembled fireplace and / or with a fireplace that can be retrofitted on site.

[0018] It can be provided that the second chimney stage is formed from a prefabricated part and / or is designed as a prefabricated part, preferably comprising a factory-supplied second chimney section with a factory-mounted exhaust gas cleaning device and / or with an exhaust gas cleaning device that can be retrofitted on site.

[0019] It can be provided that the third chimney stage is formed from a prefabricated part and / or is designed as a prefabricated part, preferably comprising a factory-supplied third chimney section or a third chimney section that can be assembled on site from several factory-supplied storey-high chimney sections.

[0020] Particularly advantageous are designs in which the first and second chimney stages form a single prefabricated component. In these designs, the chimney base or chimney plinth is designed as a single prefabricated component.

[0021] Particularly advantageous implementations are obtained if it is provided that the first chimney stage and the second chimney stage, which have the common body or the common supporting structure, form a common prefabricated part, whereby it is provided that that the fireplace is factory-installed in the common body and / or the common supporting structure or that the fireplace can be retrofitted on-site in the common body and / or the common supporting structure.

[0022] According to the invention, the body is a hollow body. The common body can be formed from several concrete casing blocks or as a single-piece concrete body. Preferred embodiments provide for the second chimney stage to have an exhaust gas purification device.

[0023] Preferably, it can be provided that the exhaust gas purification device forms a structural unit with the exhaust pipe of the second chimney stage. Preferred embodiments can provide that the second chimney stage has at least one inspection opening, wherein the at least one inspection opening is designed to maintain the components of the exhaust gas purification system, and / or is designed to retrofit the second chimney stage with further components, in particular to retrofit the exhaust gas purification system with further components

[0024] It is preferably provided that the first chimney stage and the second chimney stage, which have the common body and / or the common supporting structure, form a common prefabricated part, wherein it is provided that that the exhaust gas cleaning device is factory-installed in the common body and / or the common supporting structure or that the exhaust gas cleaning device can be installed on site in the common body and / or the common supporting structure.

[0025] Particular advantages arise when the exhaust gas purification system is designed as a module or as an assembly composed of modules. This module can be factory-installed in the second chimney stage. However, it can also be retrofitted on-site, meaning it can be replaced as part of an upgrade or repair.

[0026] As regards the design of the exhaust gas purification device, it can be provided that the exhaust gas purification device has an exhaust gas purification device for secondary emission reduction based on electrostatic and / or mechanical and / or catalytic and / or wet-chemical exhaust gas aftertreatment.

[0027] It can also be provided that the exhaust gas purification device has a device for controlling combustion.

[0028] Particularly preferred embodiments provide for the second chimney stage to have a soot removal device. In this context, the soot removal device may include a slide gate as a soot collection device during sweeping and a bullet trap to protect the fireplace against mechanical damage during sweeping.

[0029] Advantageous embodiments can also provide that the second chimney stage has at least one inspection opening, wherein the at least one inspection opening is designed to inspect the exhaust gas path and / or to remove soot; and / or is designed to inspect the supply air line; and / or is designed to maintain the components of the exhaust gas purification device; and / or is designed to retrofit the second chimney stage with further components, in particular to retrofit the exhaust gas purification device with further components.

[0030] In preferred embodiments, at least one opening is formed in the common body and / or the common support structure of the chimney base or chimney pedestal, which opening is designed as an inspection opening for access to the exhaust gas purification device and / or to a soot removal device, in particular an opening for access to the soot removal device. Advantageously, it can also be provided that the third chimney stage is separated from the second chimney stage by a horizontal partition wall, in particular a horizontal partition plate.

[0031] Designs are possible in which the horizontal partition wall is designed as a head plate of the body of the chimney foot or chimney plinth, preferably formed in one piece with the body.

[0032] It can also be provided that the vertical exhaust pipe of the third chimney stage is connected and / or supported in an opening in the horizontal partition wall and / or the head plate. Further features and advantages of the invention are evident from the figures. Figure 1: a first embodiment of a chimney similar to the chimney according to the invention, in a schematic sectional view along a vertical longitudinal section plane; Figure 2: a second embodiment of a chimney similar to the chimney according to the invention, in a schematic sectional view along a vertical longitudinal section plane; Figure 3a: a third embodiment of a chimney according to the invention in a schematic sectional view along a vertical longitudinal section plane; Figure 3b: a front view of the embodiment of the Fig. 3a , View in Fig. 3a from the left; Figure 4: an enlarged section of Figure 3ain the area 1x; Figure 5: a Figure 4 corresponding section, in a first modified version; Figure 6: a Figure 4 corresponding section, in a second modified version; Figure 7: a Figure 4 corresponding section of a third modified version; Figure 8: a Figure 4 corresponding section of a fourth modified version; Figure 9: an enlarged section of Figure 3a in the range of 2x.

[0033] In the Figure 1 The first embodiment shown is a chimney S with a fireplace 1x designed as a storage fireplace. The fireplace 1x is integrated into the base of the chimney S.

[0034] Chimney S has an outer shell made of concrete. The structure and exact design of the outer shell are described in more detail below. Chimney S is divided into three axial sections, hereinafter referred to as chimney stages 1, 2, and 3.

[0035] The lower first chimney stage 1 contains the fireplace 1x.

[0036] The second chimney stage 2 is located directly above the first chimney stage 1. It contains a flue gas cleaning system 20. The flue gas cleaning system 20 is located in the flue gas line 4.2, which is connected to the fireplace 1x at the head end and extends vertically through the second chimney stage as flue gas pipe 4.2. The flue gas cleaning system 20 is designed as a module and forms a single structural unit with the flue gas pipe 4.2 of the second chimney stage. This structural unit, consisting of flue gas pipe 4.2 and flue gas cleaning system 20, can be factory-installed in the second chimney stage 2. However, it can also be retrofitted on-site. This applies to the structural unit consisting of flue gas pipe 4.2 and flue gas cleaning system 20, but also to the flue gas cleaning system 20. This can also be installed on-site as an optional retrofit or replaced on-site as part of a repair or replacement.

[0037] The exhaust pipe 4.2 has a side connection piece with an inspection opening 4.2ö. The inspection opening 4.2ö is closed with a removable cover 4.2öv. The exhaust gas purification system 20 is accessible via the inspection opening 4.2ö.

[0038] In the illustrated embodiment in Figure 1 The first chimney stage 1 and the second chimney stage 2 are designed as a structural unit with a common body 100. The body 100 is a hollow body, which can be made of concrete masonry units, preferably casing blocks, or as a one-piece concrete body. In the embodiment in Figure 1The interior of the body 100 is separated by a horizontal partition wall 100z. The partition wall 100z separates the first chimney stage 1 from the second chimney stage 2. In the lower part, i.e. below the partition wall 100z, the fireplace 1x is arranged, in such a way that the partition wall 100z rests on the upper end of the housing of the storage fireplace 1x and forms the head of the fireplace 1x. The partition wall 100z is directly connected to the body 100. In the embodiment in Figure 1 the intermediate wall 100z is designed as a separate horizontal plate which is axially supported on a collar formed on the inner wall of the body 100.

[0039] In modified versions, it is possible that the horizontal partition wall 100z only rests on the fireplace, ie on the head of the fireplace and is only supported there, or that the horizontal partition wall 100z is only supported on the body 100, e.g. on a collar of the inner wall of the body or engaging in the inner wall.

[0040] The exhaust pipe 4.2 of the second chimney stage extends through a connection opening in the intermediate wall 100z and engages with a head-end connection piece (not shown) of the fireplace 1x. The upper end of the exhaust pipe 4.2 of the second chimney stage, which contains the exhaust gas cleaning system 20, extends through an opening in the head of the body 100 for connection to an exhaust line 4.3, which, in the upper part of the chimney of the third chimney stage, conducts the exhaust gas vertically upward through the upper part of the chimney to the outside. The exhaust line 4.3 is designed as an exhaust pipe and engages with a connection socket 4.3a supported on the head of the body 100. This connection socket 4.3a is designed as a load-bearing connection socket that supports the inserted exhaust pipe 4.3.

[0041] The third chimney stage 3 forms the upper part of the chimney S. This contains the exhaust pipe 4.3, which is connected to the exhaust pipe 4.2 of the second chimney stage via the connection socket 4.3a in order to guide the exhaust gas through the third chimney stage and finally to the outside at the chimney head.

[0042] The third chimney stage (3) can be composed of storey-high chimney sections. The storey-high chimney sections can be designed as prefabricated components that are assembled on site. Alternatively, the third chimney stage (3) can also be constructed as a factory-prefabricated component across its entire height. The outer casing of the third chimney stage, like the outer casing of the first and second chimney stages, is made of concrete material, preferably of casing bricks. However, it can also be composed of one-piece pipe sections, preferably each storey-high, or alternatively, depending on the chimney height, of a single-piece pipe section.

[0043] In the two lower stages, ie in the first chimney stage and in the second chimney stage, in the embodiment in Figure 1in the outer casing, i.e. in the common body 100, two inspection openings 100ö, 100ö are formed laterally. The inspection opening 100ö in the first chimney stage forms an access opening to the furnace door 1xv of the storage fireplace 1x. The inspection opening 100ö in the second chimney stage 2 has a closure, e.g. a door 100öv, and forms access to the inspection opening 4.2ö formed in the exhaust pipe 4.2 or its closure flap 4.2öv. The exhaust gas cleaning device 20, which is arranged inside the exhaust pipe 4.2, can be accessed via the inspection opening 4.2ö. In addition, a mechanical soot removal device is also accessible via this inspection opening 100ö in the second chimney section, which in the embodiment in Figure 1by a bullet trap 2k with a locking slide 2s. The locking slide 2s forms a soot trap during sweeping. The bullet trap 2k provides mechanical protection for the fireplace during sweeping.

[0044] Both in the third chimney stage 3 and in the second chimney stage 2, vertical supply air ducts (not shown) are arranged, which supply the supply air to the fireplace in counterflow to the exhaust pipes 4.3 and 4.2.

[0045] In the Figure 2The second embodiment shown is a chimney S which, in contrast to the first embodiment, has a convection fireplace 1x with a convection chamber as the fireplace 1x. The remaining structure of the chimney is the same as in the first embodiment, in particular the exhaust pipe 4.2 of the second chimney stage with the exhaust gas purification device 20 integrated therein is of the same design. Also in the second embodiment in Figure 2 The body 100 with the first chimney stage 1 and the second chimney stage 2 forms a prefabricated component ex works. The prefabricated component 120 is in the second embodiment in Figure 2 designed differently than in the first embodiment in Figure 1 The differences are explained in detail below. The third chimney stage 3 is identical in the first and second embodiments.

[0046] In the following, the differences of the prefabricated component which forms the first and second chimney stage are described, ie the differences of this prefabricated component forming the chimney base in the second embodiment compared to the first embodiment.

[0047] In the second embodiment in Figure 2 The body 100 has a cavity 100h, which forms a common cavity as a receiving space for the fireplace 1x and the exhaust pipe 4.2 with the exhaust gas purification device 20 arranged therein. In contrast to the first exemplary embodiment, the second exemplary embodiment does not have an intermediate wall 100z that divides the cavity 100h into two separate receiving spaces, namely a lower receiving space and an upper receiving space. Such a division is provided in the first exemplary embodiment in Figure 1the case, there, a lower receiving space is formed in the body 100 for receiving the fireplace 1x and, separated by the intermediate wall 100z, an upper receiving space for receiving the exhaust pipe 4.2 with the exhaust gas cleaning device 20 integrated therein. In the second exemplary embodiment, as mentioned, a common cavity 100h is formed for the first and second chimney stages. In this common cavity 100h, a convection air flow K is guided, which is formed by an air flow that flows in at the lower inspection opening 100ö, is heated as it passes the outer wall of the fireplace 1x on the outside of the exhaust pipe 4.2 and finally flows out at the upper inspection opening 100ö. An inspection grille 100kg is inserted in each of the inspection openings 100ö, 100ö.

[0048] In the second embodiment in Figure 2The heat exchange between the chimney and the environment thus takes place via the convection air flow, which is generated as a warm air flow on the outer wall of the fireplace 1x and on the outside of the exhaust pipe 4.2 as it flows through the first and second chimney stages and heats the environment after flowing out through the convection openings. In contrast, in the first exemplary embodiment, in which the fireplace 1x is designed as a storage fireplace, the heat generated in the fireplace is stored primarily in the fireplace's storage and, if necessary, also in other storage devices in the chimney, e.g., in the chimney wall. The heat is then transferred to the environment via heat radiation from the body 100 to the environment.

[0049] Embodiments according to the invention have a mixed form of the fireplace 1x as a storage fireplace and at the same time as a convection fireplace.

[0050] These have the same as the example in Figure 1 a storage fireplace, but in contrast to the embodiment in Figure 1 They additionally have a convection chamber formed in the body 100, which enables a convection air flow K through the interior of the first chimney stage 1 and the second chimney stage 2. In this embodiment, similar to the embodiment in Figure 2 Convection openings 100ö are provided, namely one convection opening 100ö in the first chimney stage and one convection opening 100ö in the second chimney stage. To enable the vertical convection flow K inside the first and second chimney stages, corresponding passage openings are formed in the partition wall 100z in these embodiments.

[0051] In the Figures 3a and 3bThe illustrated embodiment, like embodiments 1 and 2, is a three-stage chimney with a fireplace 1x arranged in the first stage. The fireplace 1x is preferably designed as a storage fireplace. The first chimney stage and the second chimney stage have a common body 100. The interior of this body is divided by a horizontal partition wall 100z into a lower cavity and an upper cavity. The fireplace 1x is arranged in the lower cavity. The exhaust pipe 4.2 passes through the upper cavity. The lower end of the exhaust pipe 4.2 is connected to the fireplace 1x and passes through the horizontal partition wall 100z. With its upper end, the exhaust pipe 4.2 passes through the head end of the body 100 and is connected to the exhaust pipe 4.3 of the upper chimney, which forms the third chimney stage.

[0052] In the exhaust pipe 4.2 in the second chimney stage, an exhaust gas cleaning device 20 is arranged, which is operated by a Figure 3 not shown inspection door in the body 100 is accessible. In this area, in which the exhaust gas purification device 20 is arranged, the exhaust pipe 4.2 has a lateral nozzle (not shown) which has a removable closure cover for the purpose of accessibility to the exhaust gas purification device 20 via the inspection door in the body.

[0053] The third chimney stage is, as in the examples of the Figure 1 and 2, formed by the upper chimney, which has a load-bearing outer shell 300 formed from one or more one-piece concrete bodies, preferably casing stones arranged one above the other. The exhaust pipe 4.3 is guided in the outer shell 300 in the vertical longitudinal center line. The space between the inner wall of the outer shell 300 and the outer wall of the exhaust pipe 4.3 is designed as an air supply duct 5.3, to the lower end of which an air supply pipe 5.3a is connected, which leads out laterally at the lower end of the outer shell 300 and through an opening in the upper head end of the body 100 as air supply pipe 5.2, passing through the second chimney stage in the upper cavity of the body 100, through an opening in the horizontal partition wall 100z and finally is connected to the fireplace 1x as air supply duct 5.1.

[0054] Figure 4 shows the embodiment of the Figure 3the support of the upper chimney on the body 100. The body 100 is designed as a cylindrical hollow concrete body, which is closed at its upper end by a head end 100k.

[0055] The outer shell 300 of the third chimney stage 3 rests with its lower end on the upper side of the head end 100k of the body 100. It is anchored in the head end 100k via a screw anchor device 320. For this purpose, a screw anchor 320a is embedded in the head end 100k. A screw end of a tensioning element 320s is screwed to the screw anchor 320a. The tensioning element 320s is guided in the outer shell along the vertical extension of the outer shell and is axially supported.

[0056] The exhaust pipe 4.3 arranged within the outer shell is preferably designed as a ceramic pipe, preferably made of ceramic socket pipes, each having an insulating outer shell 4.3i. At the lower end of the exhaust pipe 4.3, a lower socket pipe 4.3m is formed, the spigot end of which, with its insulating jacket, extends through a through-hole in the head end 100k of the body 100. The end of the ceramic exhaust pipe 4.3 is inserted into the upwardly open socket of the socket pipe 4.3m. The exhaust pipe 4.3 is supported on the upper side of the head end 100k of the body via a ceramic support ring 4.3t. This support ring is conically flared downwards in a socket-like manner. The upper end of the support ring is supported on the outside of the socket of the socket pipe 4.3m. The lower, extended end is supported on the top of the head end 100k of the body 100.

[0057] At the Fig. 5The modified version shown is in contrast to Fig. 4 for fixing the outer shell 300 on the head end 100k of the body 100 instead of the screw anchor device 320 of the Fig. 4 A fastening device with a fastening bracket 330 is provided. The fastening bracket 330 has a horizontal angle leg and a vertical angle leg. The horizontal angle leg rests on the upper side of the head end 100k of the body 100 and is fixed in the body end 100k via a safety dowel 330a. The safety dowel 330a is inserted into the head end 100k. The vertical angle leg rests on the outside of the outer shell 300 and is fixed to the outside of the outer shell via a fastening element (not shown), such as a screw.

[0058] At the Fig. 6 The modified version shown is in contrast to Fig. 5 instead of the fastening device with mounting bracket 330, as in Fig. 6 As shown schematically, a recess 100ka is formed in the top side of the head end 100k of the body 100, into which the outer shell 300 engages with the exhaust pipe 4.3. The lower end face of the outer shell 300 and the lower end face of the support ring 4.3t rest on the bottom of the recess 100ka. The outer side of the lower section of the outer shell 300 engaging in the recess 100ka rests against the inner wall of the recess 100ka, thus forming a positive engagement.

[0059] At the Fig. 7 The modified version shown is in contrast to Fig. 5At the lower end of the outer shell 300, a base plate 300s, preferably made of glass fiber reinforced concrete, is arranged. The base plate 300s is fixed to the lower end of the outer shell 300 via a screw anchor device 340 with a tensioning element 340s. For this purpose, a screw anchor 340a is embedded in the base plate. The tensioning element 340s is arranged in the outer shell extending in the vertical longitudinal direction and is supported in or on the outer shell and is screwed with its lower screw end into the screw anchor 340a inserted in the base plate 100s. For fastening the outer shell 300 with the base plate 300s attached at the lower end on the top side of the head end 100k of the body 100, a fastening device with a fastening angle 330 is arranged, which is the same as the fastening device with fastening angle 330 in the embodiment in Fig. 5 is trained.

[0060] At the Fig. 8The modified version shown is in contrast to Fig. 7 Instead of the fastening device with fastening bracket 330, a recess 100ka is formed in the top of the head end 100k of the body. The outer shell 300 with the base plate 300s attached to its lower end in the same design as in Fig. 7 intervenes in the execution of Fig. 8 into the recess 100ka form-fitting as in the version in Fig. 6 so that a similar form-fitting connection as in Fig. 6 is formed.

[0061] When presented in Fig. 9 This is a modified version in section X2 in Fig. 3a In contrast to the execution in Fig. 3a the horizontal partition wall is 100z in Fig. 9resting on a collar formed on the inner wall of the body 100. The horizontal partition wall 100z is arranged at a distance from the top of the fireplace 1x. The horizontal partition wall 100z has the same as in Fig. 3 a through hole for the exhaust pipe 4.2 and a through hole for the supply air pipe 5.2. The horizontal partition wall 100z is in Figure 9 same as in Fig. 3a as a plate.
