Description

[0001] One aspect of the invention relates to a cooking chamber insert for detachable installation in a cooking chamber of a cooking appliance. The cooking chamber insert is particularly plate-shaped. Another aspect of the invention relates to a cooking appliance.

[0002] An oven is known from DE 10 2010 030 471 A1. The oven has a separate cooking chamber divider element equipped with at least one large-surface heating element. The cooking chamber divider element represents a built-in unit that can be inserted into the oven's cooking chamber at a specific shelf level. This allows the cooking chamber to be optionally divided into individually heatable, adjacent cooking chamber areas. However, this built-in unit has only one integrated heating element. This limits its usability. Furthermore, EP 2 431 667 A1 discloses a heatable insertable cooking chamber divider and a cooking appliance. An upper side of the insertable cooking chamber divider is designed as a food receptacle and is therefore trough-shaped. A surface heating system is integrated into the plate-shaped insertable cooking chamber divider. A temperature sensor can also be provided. This heatable insertable cooking chamber divider is also limited in its usability.

[0003] An electric baking and roasting oven is known from DE 42 17 545 A1. The oven comprises a plate that can be inserted into the cooking chamber and has a heating element that radiates heat downwards. The plate has an insulation layer with a recess on the underside in which the heating element is located.

[0004] The object of the present invention is to create a cooking chamber insert that is safer to handle. Accordingly, the object of the invention is also to create a cooking appliance.

[0005] This task is solved by a cooking chamber insert and a cooking appliance according to the claims.

[0006] One aspect of the invention relates to a cooking chamber insert for detachable installation in a cooking chamber of a cooking appliance. The cooking chamber insert is plate-shaped. The cooking chamber insert has a base plate. The cooking chamber insert also has a heating element. The heating element is arranged on an underside of the base plate, viewed in the vertical direction of the cooking chamber insert. The heating element is arranged on a side facing away from the underside of the base plate, at least partially exposed downwards. A limiting web is formed on this underside, which surrounds the heating element at least partially on the circumferential side and which is arranged overlapping the heating element in the vertical direction of the cooking chamber insert. The limiting web forms lateral contact protection for the heating element. The limiting web can also be referred to as a limiting wall or limiting embankment. The limiting web is offset inwards, at least in sections, along its longitudinal axis compared to a peripheral edge of the base plate. This limiting web has an outer side facing away from the heating element. This outer side is offset inwards, at least in sections, compared to a contour edge or an outer peripheral edge of the base plate. This means that, in a direction parallel to a plane in which the base plate extends, this limiting web is arranged offset inwards relative to this peripheral edge. This creates a downwardly exposed area between the peripheral edge and an outer side of the limiting web. This plate area of the base plate forms a grip zone for carrying the cooking chamber insert.

[0007] Such a cooking chamber insert therefore enables improved protection towards the heating element, while at the same time also allowing easy and secure gripping of the cooking chamber insert along the edges. This also enables reliable and safe carrying of the cooking chamber insert. In particular, this cooking chamber insert is a portable cooking chamber insert. A user can therefore grip the cooking chamber insert much more easily. The specially designed grip zones, which are also intended for gripping, promote this user behavior. These grip zones are preferably designed in such a way that they are virtually separated from the heating element. Unwanted accidental contact with the heating element with the fingers can therefore be practically avoided. In this context, it is particularly advantageous that this type of design of a limiting bar is multifunctional. On the one hand, this defines the heating element's side walls, thus providing protection against contact. On the other hand, the defined positioning of the limiting bar relative to the peripheral edge creates the grip zone, which is also directly defined by the limiting bar itself. This also enables a compact structure with reduced components and reduced form complexity. This is because there is no need to create a grip zone in addition to the limiting bar, which is exclusively defined by other components; instead, the limiting bar is also used for this purpose, both positionally and functionally, and is arranged accordingly in this context.

[0008] In particular, the base plate is designed to be uninterrupted across its surface. This means that it has no through holes or the like. In this respect, a grid or the like, for example, is not to be considered a base plate.

[0009] The base plate further comprises a bottom plate and a top plate. This bottom plate and the top plate form a gap between these two plates and are delimited by these two plates. In one exemplary embodiment according to the invention, a thermal insulation material can be introduced into the gap. In addition to or instead of this, at least one metal foil, for example an aluminum foil, can be arranged in this gap. With such an exemplary embodiment, the base plate can also be a thermal insulation plate.

[0010] In one embodiment, the peripheral edge has a downward overhang, viewed in the vertical direction of the cooking chamber insert. Between this overhang and the outer side of the limiting web, at least one recessed grip is formed as a gripping zone. Such a recessed grip is thus delimited internally by the outer side of the limiting web and externally by this overhang. This creates a recessed grip that is, in particular, only open downwards. This enables particularly user-friendly and secure gripping. This overhang can also be used to stiffen the peripheral edge itself. This provides a multifunctional component in the form of the overhang.

[0011] In particular, this projection is formed integrally with the base plate. In this respect, it can be realized, for example, by forming. This is particularly the case if the base plate is made of metal, at least in part, especially in the area of the peripheral edge.

[0012] In one embodiment, a first lateral recessed grip is formed as a gripping zone between the projection and the outer side of the limiting web. In one embodiment, a second lateral recessed grip, which is different from the first recess, is formed as a gripping zone between the projection and the outer side of the limiting web. This allows the cooking chamber insert to be gripped simultaneously on opposite side areas. This enables particularly simple and safe carrying, particularly in a horizontal direction. In one embodiment, a recessed grip on the front, viewed in the depth direction of the cooking chamber insert, is formed as a gripping zone between the projection and the outer side of the limiting web. This advantageously makes it possible for the cooking chamber insert, when pushed into a cooking chamber, to also be accessible from the front and to be gripped in order to be able to pull it out of the cooking chamber. This grip recess is also separated from the heating element by the limiting bar.

[0013] These, in particular, several locally developed zones enable the usage concept to ensure safe gripping.

[0014] In one embodiment, the limiting web is integrated into the base plate. This means that it is formed integrally with the base plate. For example, the base plate can be made of metal, at least in part. The limiting web can then be formed in the base plate, for example, by forming. Integrating the limiting web reduces the number of components. Furthermore, assembly effort is eliminated. In particular, positional tolerances can be reduced compared to an embodiment in which the limiting web is a separate, dedicated part that is mounted to the base plate.

[0015] In one embodiment, the boundary bar has local feet. These feet can be integrated into the boundary bar. The corresponding embodiments apply to this, as already mentioned above for the integral design of the boundary bar into the base plate. The feet can thus be used to provide local support elements as intended. These can then be used to place the cooking chamber insert directly on a surface. For example, it can simply be placed on the top of a kitchen countertop.

[0016] In one embodiment, the feet are positioned at at least two corners of the boundary bar. This allows for highly exposed locations for the feet. This allows for particularly stable and tip-free installation, even though the cooking chamber insert only actually makes direct contact with the installation surface at the localized locations where the feet are positioned.

[0017] In one embodiment, the limiting web is a deep-drawn limiting web. This means, in particular, that it is formed by deep drawing from the material of the base plate, in particular by forming the base plate. Deep drawing is a very simple and highly precise forming process in this regard. This also allows for relatively customized designs of integrated components.

[0018] In one embodiment, the heating element is attached to the base plate with a detachable connection. This detachable mechanical connection allows the heating element to be reversibly removed and reattached. This option allows for easy cleaning of the individual components. It also simplifies the replacement and maintenance of individual components of the cooking chamber insert.

[0019] In one embodiment, the cooking chamber insert itself, in addition to its function as a cooking chamber divider, also serves as a heating plate. This advantageous embodiment, as mentioned above, allows the heating energy generated to be released in only one direction—downward. By designing the base plate as an insulating plate toward the top, the upward release of heat energy generated by the heating element can be avoided or at least significantly reduced.

[0020] In one embodiment, the base plate and / or the cover plate have embossings. This stiffens each individual plate. Furthermore, the embossings can also be used as signaling elements. This makes it possible to distinguish the cooking chamber insert from a separate food carrier, such as a baking tray, for example. This can prevent misuse in such an embodiment where food is placed directly on the upper side of the base plate when the cooking chamber insert is arranged in the cooking chamber. Instead, it is then preferably provided that a food carrier, such as a pan or a pot or the like, is arranged on this upper side of the base plate, in which the food to be prepared is then arranged.

[0021] In one embodiment, the base plate has a peripheral edge border. This surrounds the floor plate and / or the ceiling plate. In particular, this edge border is completely formed all the way around, in particular is formed without interruption. In one embodiment, this edge border laterally delimits the space between the floor plate and the ceiling plate. Using such an edge border, the thickness of the base plate can be individually designed. Furthermore, this separate edge border can also achieve an individual visual appearance and / or mechanical functionality. The connection to the floor plate and / or the ceiling plate can also be individually designed in this regard. The edge border can be made of stainless steel, for example. It can also be made of enamelled sheet metal. In particular, the edge border is separate from the floor plate and separate from the ceiling plate.

[0022] In one embodiment, the base plate may be made of stainless steel or enamelled sheet metal.

[0023] In another embodiment, the ceiling panel and the floor panel can be bonded together using an adhesive. This can then provide a direct connection between the floor panel and the ceiling panel. A separate edge trim is then no longer required. However, it can also be provided additionally in another embodiment.

[0024] The heating element can comprise a tubular heater and / or a radiant heater and / or an induction heater. This allows a wide variety of energy sources to be provided as heating elements for the cooking chamber insert. The energy generated by the heating element can therefore be thermal energy in this context. However, it can also be electromagnetic energy, as is the case with induction heating. The heating element can be connected to an electrical energy source for this energy generation, so that the electrical energy initiates the generation of the heating element's energy.

[0025] Such an electrical energy source can be part of the cooking chamber insert. However, this electrical energy source can also be located externally to the cooking chamber insert. In particular, the cooking chamber insert, especially the heating element itself, then has electrical contacts. These can be contacted with electrical mating contacts, so that the electrical energy from the electrical energy source is transferred to the heating element of the cooking chamber insert via this contact interface.

[0026] If the cooking chamber insert has its own electrical energy source, this can be a battery or accumulator, for example.

[0027] If the cooking chamber insert does not have its own electrical energy source, it can be connected to the mains, for example.

[0028] In one exemplary embodiment, the base plate has at least one material region on the side of the heating element opposite the receiving region, which material region is designed as a thermal insulation region. As a result, the cooking chamber insert is designed in such a way that it enables energy release via the energy release unit in a very directed manner. Accordingly, energy release is not provided in all directions of the cooking chamber insert. This thermal insulation region also makes it possible for the cooking chamber insert to be installed more flexibly and variably in the cooking chamber. On the one hand, in this context, components in the cooking chamber facing the thermal insulation region and in particular also adjacent to or directly adjacent to it can be protected from unwanted energy transfer. In particular, unwanted heating of these components is thereby prevented. On the other hand, a directed energy release is carried out via the receiving area and the energy release unit arranged therein.

[0029] In one embodiment, this thermal insulation region comprises aerogel as the thermally insulating material. This material is both very lightweight and particularly advantageous in terms of thermal insulation. The thermal insulation region can also comprise a vacuum unit.

[0030] Another aspect of the invention relates to a cooking appliance. The cooking appliance comprises a housing. A cooking chamber is formed in the housing. Food can be prepared in the cooking chamber. In one embodiment, the cooking appliance comprises a cooking chamber insert according to the above-mentioned aspect or an advantageous embodiment.

[0031] A cooking chamber insert can also be designed as a cooking chamber divider. This allows the cooking chamber to be divided into at least two different cooking chamber sections. In particular, the cooking chamber insert essentially has a width, viewed in the width direction of the cooking appliance, that corresponds to the clear width between two vertical walls that define the cooking chamber. This also allows for particularly easy mounting of the cooking chamber insert on these opposite vertical side walls.

[0032] In one embodiment, it is provided that the at least one electrical contact region of the heating element is arranged on a relevant narrow side edge of the base plate. This enables particularly simple electrical contacting of an electrical mating contact, which is arranged, for example, on such a vertical side wall that delimits a cooking chamber. In particular, electrical contact between the electrical contact region and the mating contact region is automatically enabled when the cooking chamber insert is arranged in its end position in the cooking chamber. The end position is viewed in the depth direction of the cooking appliance. Viewed in the height direction, the cooking chamber insert can in particular be positioned on at least two different levels in the cooking chamber.

[0033] It is also possible for at least two separate cooking chamber inserts to be arranged in the cooking chamber simultaneously. In particular, they can be positioned at different heights within the cooking chamber. In particular, the orientation of the cooking chamber inserts is generally such that the energy delivery unit faces the food being prepared in the cooking chamber.

[0034] In one embodiment, the invention also makes it possible to provide the cooking chamber insert as a retrofit system for a cooking appliance. This also makes it possible for a cooking appliance to be provided in an individual basic configuration. Depending on whether a user then wishes to expand its functions, at least one cooking chamber insert or several cooking chamber inserts can be retrofitted as retrofit components. In particular, it is also possible in this context for only the basic configuration to be provided with the cooking chamber insert. To individually design an arrangement, a user can then additionally retrofit one or more energy delivery units, depending on their wishes or requirements, so that they can configure an arrangement with the cooking chamber insert and at least one energy delivery unit to suit the user.

[0035] One aspect of the invention thus also relates to a retrofit system for a cooking appliance. The retrofit system comprises a cooking chamber insert according to the above-mentioned aspect or an advantageous embodiment thereof. The retrofit system can also comprise an arrangement according to the above-mentioned aspect or an advantageous embodiment thereof.

[0036] The terms "top", "bottom", "front", "back", "horizontal", "vertical", "depth direction", "width direction", "height direction", etc., indicate the positions and orientations given when the cooking chamber insert or the appliance is used and arranged as intended.

[0037] Further features of the invention emerge from the claims, the figures and the description of the figures.

[0038] Embodiments of the invention are explained in more detail below with reference to schematic drawings. They show: Fig. 1 is a schematic representation of an embodiment of a cooking appliance according to the invention with an embodiment of a cooking chamber insert according to the invention; Fig. 2 is a perspective representation of an embodiment of a cooking chamber insert according to the invention; Fig. 3 is the design of the cooking chamber insert according to Fig. 2 in one to Fig. 2 different perspective; Fig. 4 a front view of the cooking chamber insert according to Fig. 2 and Fig. 3 ; and Fig. 5 a side view of the cooking chamber insert according to Fig. 2 bis Fig. 4 .

[0039] In Fig. 1 A cooking appliance 1 is shown in a schematic representation. The cooking appliance 1 can be an oven, a microwave, or a steam cooker. It can also be a combined cooking appliance.

[0040] The cooking appliance 1 comprises a housing 2. In particular, a muffle 3 is arranged in the housing 2. This muffle 3 defines a cooking chamber 4 with its walls. The cooking chamber 4 is defined at the front by a door 5 of the cooking appliance 1, indicated here only by dashed lines. The door 5 is shown schematically in the open state.

[0041] In addition, Fig. 1 a cooking chamber insert 6 is shown. The cooking chamber insert 6 is a separate component in itself. It is designed for insertion into the cooking chamber 4. In this regard, the cooking chamber insert 6 is a cooking chamber divider. This also means in particular that it has a width in the width direction (x-direction) of the cooking appliance 1 that essentially corresponds to the clear width between two opposite vertical side walls 3a and 3b of the muffle 3. As a result, the cooking chamber insert 6 can be inserted horizontally into the cooking chamber 4 and, in particular, can be arranged directly on the opposite side walls 3a and 3b. As a result, two cooking chamber areas 4a and 4b can be formed when viewed in the vertical direction. The cooking chamber insert 6 is in particular plate-shaped. This means that in this context it is designed as a square, flat body.

[0042] In Fig. 2 1 shows a perspective view of an embodiment of a cooking chamber insert 6. The plate-shaped cooking chamber insert 6 here is a cooking chamber divider. This also means, in particular, that it extends in the width direction (x-direction) across the entire width of a cooking chamber 4 when it is arranged in such a cooking chamber 4. In particular, a cooking chamber insert 6, in its function as a cooking chamber divider, is therefore designed such that it is intended to be attached directly to opposite vertical side walls 3a and 3b of a muffle 3 of a cooking chamber. In this regard, however, additional support grids or the like, which are arranged on the inside of a vertical side wall 3a and / or 3b, can also be provided, on which this cooking chamber insert 6 is then arranged. For example, such support grids can also be designed to accommodate other food supports, such as a baking tray or a wire rack, or the like. Therefore, in such a case, this cooking chamber insert 6 can also be inserted directly into such laterally arranged grid supports.

[0043] The cooking chamber insert 6 has a base plate 7. In addition, the cooking chamber insert 6 has a heating element 8, as shown in Fig. 3 This heating element 8 is arranged on a bottom side 9 of the base plate 7. The heating element 8 is arranged on a side facing away from the bottom side 9 of the base plate 7, at least partially exposed downwards. In the exemplary embodiment, the heating element 8 is arranged completely exposed downwards. On this bottom side 9, as shown in Fig. 3 can also be seen, a limiting web 10 is formed. This limiting web 10 is arranged on the base plate 7. It is in particular formed integrally therewith. In one embodiment, the limiting web 10 can be a deep-drawn limiting web. This means that it is formed by a deep-drawing process of the material of the base plate 10. The limiting web 10 is arranged in the vertical direction (y-direction) of the cooking chamber insert 6 so as to overlap with the heating element 8. It is preferably provided that the limiting web 10, viewed in this vertical direction, extends further downwards than the heating element 8. The limiting web 10 also forms a lateral contact guard for the heating element 8. In particular, the limiting web 10 is in one embodiment, as is also shown in Fig. 3 can be seen, is formed completely circumferentially around the heating element 8. This is viewed in a plane that is oriented parallel to the plane of the base plate 7. In particular in an area 11, as shown in Fig. 3 Where the heating element 8 is locally routed outward with ends 8a and 8b, this boundary web 10 is removed or lower. However, it is also possible that the boundary web 10 is also present in this area 11 and merely has holes through which these ends 8a and 8b are routed.

[0044] As furthermore in Fig. 2 and Fig. 3 As can be seen, the cooking chamber insert 6 has feet. In this exemplary embodiment, at least two feet 12a and 12b are provided. These are only designed as local feet 12a and 12b. They are formed here in corner regions 13 and 14 of the boundary web 10. They are integrated into the boundary web 10 in this exemplary embodiment shown. Viewed in the vertical direction, they extend further downwards than the remaining regions of the boundary web 10. It is also possible for feet to be formed in all four corner regions of this rectangular cooking chamber insert 6. Due to the basic geometry of the plate-shaped cooking chamber insert 6 and the geometry of the heating element 8, the boundary web 10 is also designed as a rectangular frame here. The aforementioned feet 12a and 12b are formed in at least two of these corner regions of this rectangular frame. Here they are formed at the front corner areas 13 and 14 in the depth direction (z-direction).

[0045] As furthermore in Fig. 2 and Fig. 3 As can be seen, the limiting web 10 is arranged offset inwards, at least in sections, compared to a peripheral edge 15 of the base plate 7. This means that in a plane oriented parallel to the base plate 7, the limiting web 10 is offset from the peripheral edge 15. This creates an area 16 between an outer side 10a of the limiting web 10 and the peripheral edge 15. As a result, a gripping zone 17 can be formed by this area 16 between the peripheral edge 15 and the outer side 10a. This gripping zone 17 is intended for engagement with a user's hand. As a result, the cooking chamber insert 6 can also be gripped and carried reliably and safely. In one exemplary embodiment, the peripheral edge 15 also has a downwardly projecting projection 18, as can be seen in the side view of the cooking chamber insert 6 in Fig. 5 As a result, at least one gripping recess 19 is formed as a gripping zone 17 between the projection 18 and the outer side 10a of the limiting web 10, as is also shown in Fig. 5 This grip recess 19 is preferably provided at least on the longitudinal side regions 20 and 21 viewed and oriented in the depth direction ( Fig. 2 ) is formed. It can also be provided that on one front side 22 ( Fig. 2 ) such a grip zone, in particular a grip recess, is formed. This allows the cooking chamber insert 6 to be pushed into the cooking chamber 4, as is the case, for example, in Fig. 1 shown, can be gripped from the front and easily pulled out. Nevertheless, a protective wall towards the heating element 8 is always formed by this set back or inwardly offset limiting web 10. Thus, in one embodiment, a first lateral grip recess 23 is formed between the projection 18 and the outer side 10a of the limiting web 10. In one embodiment, a second lateral grip recess 24 is formed between the projection 18 and the outer side 10a of the limiting web 10. In one embodiment, a front-side grip recess 25 is formed as a grip zone between the projection 18 and the outer side 10a of the limiting web 10.

[0046] As in Fig. 4 As can be seen, the base plate 3 projects roof-like in this horizontal plane over the boundary web 10, viewed horizontally, laterally and forwardly. This creates a free space at the bottom, into which the grip zones can be reached.

[0047] In one embodiment, as shown in Fig. 2 As shown, the base plate 7 can be constructed in several parts. It can have a cover plate 7a and a base plate 7b. The base plate 7b also forms the underside 9. It can be provided that the base plate 7b and the cover plate 7a are different plate parts, which are also separate. They can be connected, for example, by an adhesive connection, in particular also directly to one another. In one exemplary embodiment, a thermally insulating material and / or a metal foil can be arranged in an intermediate space between the cover plate 7a and the base plate 7b. This metal foil can also be thermally insulating. It is also possible that in one exemplary embodiment an additional edge border 26 is provided. This can be designed to be circumferential, at least in some regions, in particular completely. It borders the cover plate 7a and the base plate 7b on the circumference. The edge surround 26 can be a separate component from the base plate 7b and the ceiling plate 7a. It can be made of metal, for example, particularly stainless steel. As can be seen, the edge surround 26 can have a profile shape, particularly an L-shaped or U-shaped cross-section.

[0048] The cover plate 7a can have embossed portions 27 on its upper side. In addition to or instead of these, other structurings, particularly with regard to surface roughness, can also be provided. In one embodiment, the heating element 8 can be connected to the base plate 7 by a detachable mechanical connection. This can be, for example, a plug-in connection or a snap-in connection. A screw connection is also possible.

[0049] The outwardly projecting ends 8a and 8b allow for electrical contact with mating contact elements, which are formed, for example, on the rear wall of the muffle 3 or outside the muffle 3 in the housing 2. Thus, when the cooking chamber insert 6 is inserted into the cooking chamber 4, a corresponding power supply to the cooking chamber insert 6 can be provided, in particular the power supply to the heating element 8.
