Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a rain visor, particularly for a ventilation system in a room, such as a building.
[0002] Ventilation in homes, and particularly in multi-family residential buildings, is becoming increasingly well-controlled thanks to ventilation systems whose performance impacts both the air quality breathed by building occupants and the buildings' energy consumption. Consequently, the Licensee has developed optimized ventilation systems, both single-flow and dual-flow.
[0003] In general, these systems include a housing with an air inlet and an air outlet which is protected from the elements by a simple wall forming a rain visor.
[0004] DE 92 12 993 U1 describes an air blowing device comprising a cubic housing with an S-shaped air diversion duct, and an inner cover provided on one face with a sound-absorbing material.
[0005] EP 1 628 084 A1 discloses a ventilation device installed in a ventilation hole drilled in an exterior wall of a building to allow natural ventilation. The ventilation device comprises a soundproofing cartridge installed in the ventilation hole and a cover installed removably in an interior opening of the ventilation hole, covering the soundproofing cartridge and thus the interior opening of the ventilation hole. A cap or similar device is normally installed at an exterior opening in the exterior wall to prevent rainwater from entering from the outside.

[0023] The invention relates to a rain visor 1 illustrated in the figures 1 to 3 . Visor 1 is intended to equip an outlet of a ventilation system 100, as will be described later.
[0024] The rain visor 1 includes a box 2 equipped with a means 3 for acoustic treatment of sound waves from the outlet of the ventilation system 100.
[0025] Box 2 provides effective protection against the elements, and in particular against rain, for the ventilation system 100.
[0026] The box 2 comprises a set 4 of walls delimiting an internal volume V and is provided with an airflow inlet 5 and an airflow outlet 6.
[0027] The entire set of boundary walls 4 ensures an orientation and guidance of the acoustic waves from the entrance 5 which helps to reduce the propagation of sound out of the box 2, thereby reducing the sound level felt near the visor 1.
[0028] We denote S5 an air passage section of the air inlet 5 and S6 an air passage section of the outlet 6.
[0029] Assembly 4 includes a bottom wall 8, arranged substantially horizontally in the service position, i.e. when the visor 1 is installed at the exit of the system 100. The bottom wall 8 is installed in the inlet 5 of the box 2.
[0030] The assembly 4 also includes two side walls, 9, 10, facing each other, arranged vertically in the service position, as well as a roof wall 11.
[0031] The bottom wall 8 and the side walls 9 and 10 are flat.
[0032] The roof wall 11 comprises three flat sections 12, 13, 14. Section 12 is advantageously folded so as to present a chamfer 15 for stiffening the box 2.
[0033] Advantageously, the acoustic processing means 3 includes a means for processing high-frequency sound waves 16, which is now described in detail. By high frequencies, we mean frequencies greater than or equal to 800 Hz, preferably greater than or equal to 1000 Hz.
[0034] The medium 16 comprises a set of at least one element made of sound-insulating material and a partition.
[0035] Preferably, the soundproofing material is chosen from acoustic foam and / or acoustic wool.
[0036] Acoustic foam is a sound insulator made primarily of polyurethane, melamine or polyethylene, possibly including a surface profile to enhance sound absorption.
[0037] Advantageously, acoustic foam is hydrophobic and / or rot-proof.
[0038] Acoustic wool is a mineral sound insulation material, based in particular on glass wool, wadding, cotton wool and / or rock wool.
[0039] Advantageously, acoustic wool is hydrophobic and / or rot-proof.
[0040] In the illustrated embodiment, means 16 includes sets, called peripheral P, and one set, called internal I.
[0041] Each of the peripheral assemblies P comprises a partition C and a sound-insulating element M. The partition C is one of the boundary walls 8 to 11. The element M is a sound-insulating panel.
[0042] Advantageously, each panel has a thickness between 10 mm and 100 mm, preferably between 20 mm and 80 mm, preferably even 50 mm, in order to allow the best compromise between sound absorption, panel size and visor cost.
[0043] The peripheral P sets are referenced 17 to 20.
[0044] Assembly 17 comprises the back wall 8 and a panel 21 made of sound-insulating material. The panel 21 extends parallel to the wall 8 within the internal volume V.
[0045] Assembly 18 comprises the side wall 9 and a panel 22 made of sound-insulating material. The panel 22 extends parallel to the wall 9 within the internal volume V.
[0046] Assembly 19 comprises the side wall 10 and a panel 23 made of sound-insulating material. The panel 23 extends parallel to the wall 10 within the internal volume V.
[0047] The assembly 20 comprises the roof wall 11 and a panel 24 made of sound-insulating material. The panel 24 comprises three sections 25, 26, 27, with section 25 (respectively 26, 27) extending parallel to section 12 (respectively 13, 14) of the wall 11 in the internal volume V.
[0048] The bottom wall 8 is a wire mesh while the side walls 9, 10 and the roof wall 11 are solid.
[0049] The internal assembly I comprises a stack, referenced 28, of three partitions C and three panels M made of sound-insulating material.
[0050] In the illustrated embodiment, the assembly 28 comprises successively a partition 29, a soundproofing panel 30, a partition 31, a soundproofing panel 32, a partition 33 and a soundproofing panel 34. Preferably, the panel 30 is equidistant from the partition 29 and the partition 31; the partition 31 is equidistant from the panel 30 and the panel 32; the panel 32 is equidistant from the partition 31 and the partition 33; the partition 33 is equidistant from the panel 32 and the panel 34.
[0051] On the figure 2, each of the partitions and panels 20 to 34 includes fixing tabs 35 to the panel 21 itself having receiving cavities 36 for the tabs 35.
[0052] Similarly, each of the partitions and panels 20 to 34 includes fixing tabs 37 to the panel 24 itself having in its section 25 cavities for receiving tabs 37.
[0053] Partitions 29, 31, and 33 are advantageously identical. Each is in the form of a cassette comprising two spaced grids 39 and 40 arranged parallel to each other. The cassettes limit damage at high speeds and ensure the mechanical stability of panel M against sagging.
[0054] It is noted that, optionally, the M panels are protected by an anti-defibration glass veil which guarantees longevity.
[0055] Each of the peripheral P and internal I assemblies contributes to reducing the propagation of high-frequency waves, which allows the limitation of noise perceived near the visor 1 and thus improves the comfort of the environment of the visor 1.
[0056] As also appears from figures 1 to 3 , outlet 6 is provided with an outlet front 41 in which an outlet grille 42 is fixed. The outlet front 41 is an airflow partitioning sheet, which divides the overall section S6 of the air outlet 6 into four partial air outlet sections 43. In other words, section S6 is the sum of the four partial sections 45.
[0057] It is noted that the inlet 5 and outlet 6 are shaped so that the section S6 is at least strictly greater than the passage section of said air inlet, which makes it possible to effectively reduce the noise perceived outside the box 2.
[0058] It is also noted that the inlet 5 and outlet 6 are in substantially orthogonal planes, so that the air describes a bend in its passage through the box 2, which creates a pressure loss and a reduction in the noise perceived outside the box 2.
[0059] Preferably, the output S6 is between 2 and 3 times the value of section S5.
[0060] The acoustic processing means 3 also includes a means for processing low-frequency sound waves 46. By low frequencies, we mean frequencies less than or equal to 250 Hz.
[0061] The treatment unit 46 consists of a volume with a cross-sectional ratio S5 / S6 of approximately 4, for a box length L between 500 mm and 1000 mm, equal to the length of the box. The volume is therefore, for example, greater than or equal to 3*S5*L, preferably greater than or equal to 4*S5*L.
[0062] The internal volume of box 2 is on the order of the internal volume of ventilation system 100.
[0063] The internal volume V of box 2 forms an expansion volume which reduces the speed of the air, and decreases the level of low frequency sound waves.
[0064] There figure 3 illustrates an installation 110 including system 100 as well as visor 1.
[0065] The ventilation system 100 includes a box 101 equipped with an air inlet 102 to supply fresh air to the room it equips and an air outlet 103 to extract air from the room.
[0066] System 100 also includes a fan to force air into the room.
[0067] Advantageously, system 100 optionally includes a heat exchanger or a filtration system. Note that system 100 can also operate in supply mode, in which case reference 102 corresponds to the air outlet while reference 103 corresponds to the air inlet.
[0068] According to an advantageous variant, the 100 system is designed to withstand at least 30 minutes at a temperature of 400°C.
[0069] The housing 2 is adapted to the ventilation system 100. The inlet 5 of the visor 1 is placed on the outlet 103 of the housing 101. Advantageously, the section S5 is greater than or equal to an air passage outlet of the outlet 103.
[0070] The casing 2 includes means for fixing, possibly removable, the device 1 to the ventilation system 100, which ensures optimized mounting of the device 1, guarantees sealing and improves the integration of the product 1 into the system 100.
[0071] On the figure 3, it is noted that the side walls 9 and 10 each include a plurality (three in the illustrated embodiment) of lugs 47 projecting downwards, in the service position, to secure the box 2 to the housing 102. Preferably, screws 48 secure the lugs 47 to the housing 102.
[0072] As is apparent from the figure 3 The side walls 9 and 10, as well as the outlet wall 6, are arranged in line with the side walls of the housing 101 respectively, which contributes to better integration of the device 1 with respect to the system 100. Alternatively, the side walls 9 and 10 are arranged slightly outside the side face of the box in order to direct the rainwater runoff onto the side faces of the box.
[0073] The air inlet face 5 is mounted on the air intake face of the housing 101 (this is outlet 103 on the figure 3), and advantageously presents the same area as the latter.
[0074] This arrangement also ensures better integration of device 1 into system 100. figure 4 This illustrates the noise level in decibels (vertical axis) as a function of the frequency expressed in Hz (horizontal axis), with device 1 (black columns) and without device 1 (white columns). As can be seen in this figure, visor 1 significantly reduces the sound intensity at the output of box 2.
[0075] As is already apparent from the preceding description, the rain visor according to the present invention offers multiple advantages, including: Attenuation through high-absorption walls at medium and high frequencies. The enclosure, with its resonant volume, allows for a marked increase in low-frequency attenuation; reduced pressure losses; the visor is compatible with a wide range of ventilation systems; aesthetically designed to integrate with the ventilation system: the enclosed volume of the enclosure and its dimensions, adapted to those of the system, ensure the enclosure is discreet and integrates better into the environment; the visor can be advantageously fitted to an enclosure of a dual-flow ventilation system and / or one that can withstand 400°C for a minimum of 30 minutes; the enclosure can be mounted directly onto the enclosures of ventilation systems; the enclosure accepts various mounting positions on the ventilation system's enclosure.
