Description

[0001] The invention relates to a door according to the preamble of patent claim 1. Such doors are used for closing garages, halls, passageways, and the like. The door leaf can comprise a plurality of door leaf elements arranged one behind the other in the direction of door leaf movement and connected to one another in an articulated manner with respect to hinge axes running perpendicular to the direction of door leaf movement. In these cases, the door is referred to as a sectional door.

[0002] Such sectional doors can be used to close building openings and passageways of considerable dimensions, i.e., a height of 3 m or more and / or a width of 4 m or more. Such door leaves are quite heavy. The motorized drive units for such doors are typically coupled to the door leaf via a reduction gear. The drive train of the motorized gear comprises an output shaft of the motor, in particular an electric motor, which is coupled to a drive shaft of the reduction gear. The output shaft of the reduction gear may be connected in a rotationally fixed manner to a cable drum, onto which a traction mechanism coupled to a lower edge of the door leaf in the closed position can be wound during the opening movement of the door leaf.

[0003] To support the movement of the door leaf, a weight compensation device, for example, comprising a torsion spring, can be provided. The torsion spring axis can run approximately parallel to the cable drum axis, and the cable drum can be connected to a torsion spring shaft for rotational stability.

[0004] For emergency operation in the event of a defect in the motor drive system and / or a power failure, known gates have a manually operated drive device that can be coupled to the gate leaf. This manual drive device usually comprises a chain wheel that can be coupled to the drive shaft of the reduction gear and that is encircled by a hand chain. For emergency operation, the motor drive system is uncoupled from the drive shaft of the reduction gear, and the chain wheel is coupled to this drive shaft of the reduction gear. The chain wheel can then be turned manually by pulling on the hand chain that encircles it, thus effecting emergency operation of the gate. During operation of conventional gates, it has been shown that emergency operation does not actually guarantee the required properties, particularly with regard to the desired door running speed.

[0005] A door according to the preamble of claim 1 is described in US 4560046. In view of these problems in the prior art, the object of the invention is to provide a door with which the desired properties can be guaranteed even in emergency operation.

[0006] According to the invention, this object is achieved by the further development of the known gates specified in the characterizing part of patent claim 1.

[0007] The invention is based on the realization that the problems observed in the prior art are primarily due to the fact that the drive train of a motorized drive device of conventional gates is designed with the properties of the motorized drive device in mind, which generally differ from the properties of a manual drive. In particular, a motorized drive device can provide very high speeds, with the help of which the required opening forces can be provided with only low torques via a reduction gear. If a chain wheel rotated by a hand chain is coupled to the drive shaft of the reduction gear, only low speeds of the chain wheel can be achieved by pulling on the hand chain. This means that a very long time is required to move the gate leaf from the closed position to the open position. This is unacceptable, for example, in the emergency operation of gates for access at fire departments, hospitals, and the like. Therefore, improper opening practices are often used in these applications, ultimately leading to damage to the gate.

[0008] In the case of doors according to the invention, however, emergency operation is carried out using a separate drive train that is designed for the specific requirements of manual operation. Manual operation is generally characterized by the ability to generate much higher torques than with the motorized, particularly electric, drives of conventional doors. With the separate drive train, a significant reduction in the manual drive movement is therefore unnecessary. Emergency operation of doors according to the invention, when manually operated, can then take place at speeds similar to normal operation using a motorized drive. In particular, it was also recognized that the supporting effect of a conventional weight compensation device is also available in emergency operation, especially when the motor drive device is decoupled from the door leaf, so that the opening movement can still be carried out with reasonable effort even without gear reduction. The emergency drive train of doors according to the invention comprises a traction mechanism rotating around a deflection mechanism, preferably arranged overhead. A downward pulling movement is thus deflected into an upward lifting movement. The deflection mechanism can comprise a chain wheel or chain pinion. The traction mechanism can comprise a hand chain.

[0009] In order to avoid disruption of the normal operation of a door according to the invention by the emergency drive train, the invention provides that the traction means can be detachably coupled to the door leaf via a suitable coupling device only for emergency operation, while it remains unused and immobile during normal operation.

[0010] According to the invention, the coupling device comprises a driver device that is detachably connected to the traction means, preferably via a suitable connecting device, in particular a snap hook. During emergency operation, the movement of the traction means is transmitted to the door leaf via the connecting device and the driver device. For this purpose, the coupling device comprises a holder attached to the door leaf, to which the driver device can be coupled, in particular in a form-fitting manner. A form-fitting coupling of the driver device to the holder is expediently secured. For this purpose, the coupling device can comprise a securing device operable to secure the coupling of the driver device to the holder.

[0011] Within the scope of the invention, it has proven particularly expedient if the driver device has a U-profile with two outer legs connected to one another via a connecting leg and running approximately parallel to one another, while the holder comprises a U-profile with two outer legs connected to one another via a connecting leg and running approximately parallel to one another, wherein the outer legs of the holder preferably run approximately in a horizontal plane in the closed position and the outer legs of the driver (holder) preferably overlap the outer legs of the holder after coupling to the holder (driver). This ensures a flat force transmission from the driver device to the holder.

[0012] In the described embodiment of the invention, the securing device can have a securing bolt which, after coupling the driver to the holder, engages through recesses in the outer legs of the driver and the holder in order to prevent the driver device from slipping off the holder.

[0013] As already explained above, it is preferred within the scope of the invention if the traction means is decoupled from the door leaf during normal operation and is kept unused and stationary. For this purpose, a stationary safety holder can be provided, to which the driver can be coupled during normal operation. In a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, the driver device can be secured to the safety holder using the safety bolt. The safety holder can, for example, be attached to a lateral frame beam of the door leaf, which can have guide rails for guiding the door leaf movement on its side facing away from the safety holder. In sectional doors designed according to the invention, these guide rails can have a vertical guide rail section which runs approximately parallel to the lateral edges of the door leaf in the closed position of the door leaf, a horizontal guide rail section which runs approximately parallel to the lateral edges of the door leaf in the open position of the door leaf, and an arcuate section connecting the vertical section to the horizontal section.

[0014] The safety holder and the driver device of a door according to the invention can be designed in such a way that the traction means, after coupling the driver device to the safety holder, is guided in a clearance between the driver and the safety holder, wherein the clearance can be designed approximately U-shaped so that the traction means can be easily inserted into the clearance.

[0015] As already mentioned above, the motor drive device can be coupled to the door leaf via a reduction gear. Furthermore, a door according to the invention can comprise a weight compensation device, preferably comprising a torsion spring, which is designed to support an opening movement of the door leaf and is coupled to the door leaf via a traction device that can be wound onto a cable drum, preferably arranged coaxially to the torsion spring axis, during the opening movement. The torsion spring axis can be arranged above the door leaf in the closed position and extend approximately horizontally parallel to the upper edge of the door leaf in the closed position.

[0016] As already indicated above, the invention can be used with particular advantage in sectional doors in which the door leaf has a plurality of door leaf elements arranged one behind the other in the direction of door leaf movement and articulated to one another with respect to hinge axes running perpendicular to the direction of door leaf movement, wherein the emergency drive train can be coupled to the lowest door leaf element in the closed position.

[0017] The invention is explained below with reference to the drawing, to which reference is expressly made with regard to all details essential to the invention and not further detailed in the description. The drawing shows: Fig. 1 Components of an emergency drive train of a door according to the invention, Fig. 2 the emergency drive train coupled to the door leaf for emergency operation, and Fig. 3 the emergency drive train coupled to a fuse holder for normal operation.

[0018] According to Fig. 1 The emergency drive train according to the invention comprises a traction means 10 designed as an endlessly circulating hand chain, which circulates a deflection 12. The deflection is connected to a lateral frame beam 100 of the door, which on the other hand also carries guide rail segments of the door. In the drawing, an arcuate guide rail segment can be seen, which connects a vertical guide rail segment, which runs approximately parallel to the lateral frame beam 100, and a horizontal guide rail segment (not shown). The emergency drive train comprises, according to Fig. 1 Furthermore, a driver device 20 coupled to the traction device 10 via a connecting device designed as a snap hook 30. The driver device 20 has a U-profile with two outer legs 24 and 26 connected to one another via a connecting leg 22, wherein the outer legs 24, 26 run approximately parallel to one another. The connecting leg 22 is penetrated by a recess 23 through which the snap hook 30 can be threaded, which on the other hand passes through chain links of the traction device.

[0019] The connecting legs 24 and 26 are penetrated by recesses 28 with a square cross-section. The square cross-section of the recesses 28 of the connecting legs 24, 26 is adapted to the square cross-section of an end section 62 of a securing bolt 60, which has a handle-like extension 64 at the end facing away from the end section 62. According to Fig 1 a holder 40 is provided which can be coupled to the lower edge of the door leaf in the closed position (cf. Fig. 2 ). The holder 40 is designed as a U-profile with two outer legs 44 and 46 connected to one another via a connecting leg 42, wherein the outer legs are in turn penetrated by recesses 48, the shape of which is adapted to the end section 62 of the securing bolt 60. The arrangement of the holder 40 is selected such that the driver device 20 can be pushed over the holder 40 for coupling to the door leaf in such a way that the outer legs 24, 26 of the holder device 20 overlap the outer legs 44, 46 of the holder 40, so that the recesses 28 in the outer legs 24, 26 of the holder device are aligned with the recesses 48 in the outer legs 44, 46 of the holder 40 and the securing bolt can be inserted through the recesses 48. This state is in Fig 2 shown.

[0020] In the Fig. 2 In the coupling state shown, a pulling movement on the hand chain 10 can be converted into a lifting movement by deflection by means of the deflection device 12, which is transmitted to the door leaf via the snap hook 30, the driver device 20 and the holder 40.

[0021] For normal operation, the driver device 20 can be released from the holder 40 after loosening the safety bolt 60 and coupled to a safety holder 50 attached to the side frame beam 100. This state is in Fig. 3 The driver device 20 engages over the outer legs 54, 56 of the fuse holder 50 having a U-profile (cf. Fig.1 ). In this position, the fuse holder 20 can again be secured by means of the securing bolt, which passes through the recesses 58 in the outer legs 54, 56 of the fuse holder 50 as well as the recesses 28 in the driver device. As in Fig. 3As can be seen, in addition to the U-profile-like section of the fuse holder and the driver device, a U-shaped clearance is formed in which the traction means can be safely guided along the lateral frame beam 100.

[0022] The invention is not limited to the embodiment illustrated in the drawings, but only to the appended claims. Rather, the invention is also intended for use in connection with tilting doors. The bracket and safety bracket can be mounted at other locations. The driver device can be attached directly to the traction mechanism, avoiding the need for a snap hook.
