Abstract
Description
Technical field
[0001] The present invention relates to a wringing device for a cleaning system for a broom, such as a mop or any other cleaning cloth for a broom. The invention also relates to a cleaning kit comprising such a wringing device. Technological background
[0002] A wringing device is known comprising a wringing grid formed in a single piece, for example by injection molding of plastic material with a body adapted to be supported on a bucket. The wringing of the cleaning system is then carried out by compressing the cleaning system against a wringing grid. The liquid initially contained in the cleaning system is then received directly in the bucket. The cleaning system may comprise, for example, a mop, a washing cover, etc.
[0003] However, this type of wringing device does not allow for a completely satisfactory wringing of the cleaning system. In fact, only the part of the mop that is in contact with the grid can be effectively wrung out. However, the majority of the mop is pressed against itself, which does not allow the liquid to be evacuated; at best, the liquid is moved from one part of the cleaning system to another.
[0004] The applicant describes a device in document EP 2 943 107, which proposes a technical solution to improve the wringing efficiency of a cleaning system such as a mop. figures 1 to 3 describe a wringing device 10 which attaches to the upper rims of a bucket of water via two attachment arms 18, 20. As illustrated in [ Fig.2], the wringing device 10 consists of three parts: a cylindrical body 12 and two plates 14, 16 which are fixed to the cylindrical body 12. Each plate 14, 16 has a wringing member 42, 50 at its lower part. The first plate 14 more particularly comprises a wringing comb 42 whose teeth are substantially straight and have a free end. The second plate 16 comprises a wringing grid 50 which has a curved profile. The wringing grid 50 comprises curved bars which are connected to each other at their end by a stop bar. As illustrated in [ Fig. 1], when the two plates 14, 16 are fixed to the cylindrical body 12, the wringing comb 42 is configured to intersect with the wringing grid 50 in order to form a wringing housing 51. When an operator inserts a wringing device into the wringing housing 51 and applies pressure to a cleaning device, this wringing housing 51 is capable of deforming by sliding the wringing comb 42 relative to the wringing grid 50. In addition, the wringing grid 50 has a protrusion 53 which promotes the flow of water during wringing. This wringing device can be used with a cleaning device such as a traditional mop or a washing cover. For this, the [ Fig.3] shows a flat mop which carries a washing cover and is designed to be used with the wringing device 10. This flat mop 54 comprises a plate 58 consisting of two fins which carry the mop respectively using a bayonet system 62. The two fins are articulated relative to each other so as to fold against each other in order to wet the mop or wring it.
[0005] The inventors found that the wringing device 10 provides good wringing performance, however the mechanical design of the wringing device 10 is complex and makes the wringing device expensive to produce and a consumer of plastic material.
[0006] The present invention seeks to provide a solution to the disadvantages set out in the state of the art. Summary of the invention
[0007] With this in mind, the objective of the present invention is to provide a wringing device of simplified mechanical design in order to save material while ensuring good wringing performance.
[0008] With this in mind, the present invention relates to a wringing device comprising a cylindrical main body and a plate which carries a wringing grid, the main body comprising: at least one arm for attachment to a rim of a water container, a first opening allowing the insertion of a cleaning device, a second opening opposite the first opening which allows the cleaning device to access the spin grid, and means for receiving the plate, the spin grid extending projectingly from the second opening of the main body.
[0009] The wringing device is characterized in that the main body comprises receiving and moving means extending longitudinally from the second opening of the main body, on the one hand, the wringing grid is engaged with the receiving and moving means, and on the other hand, the wringing grid is mounted to move relative to the receiving and moving means which make it possible to guide the wringing grid in translation and in elastic deformation in order to enlarge the wringing housing during wringing.
[0010] The integration of the means for receiving and moving the spin grid into the main body makes it possible to maintain spin performance while simplifying the design of the product compared to the prior art which describes a spin device consisting of three parts. However, the spin device according to the invention comprises only two parts while retaining the elastic deformation properties, in particular of the spin grid, which makes it possible to enlarge and shrink the volume of the spin housing when the user exerts a back and forth movement on the cleaning device. The spin device is also more compact and its manufacturing costs as well as its consumption of plastic material are reduced.
[0011] In embodiments, the receiving and moving means comprise at least one slide receiving a protruding claw secured to the spin grid, the claw is movable in translation in the slide which allows the movement and elastic deformation of the spin grid which leads to an enlargement of the spin housing. The slide and the claw cooperate so as to guide the movement of the spin grid in its mechanical deformation.
[0012] In embodiments, the receiving and moving means comprise at least two slides, preferably, the receiving and moving means comprise at least four slides, each slide receiving a protruding claw of the spin grid.
[0013] In embodiments, each claw comprises a first end secured to the spin grid and a second free end, a stop head being disposed at the second free end, the stop head stopping the translation of the claw at each end of the slide. The stop head limits the amplitude of movement and deformation of the spin grid in order to prevent the spin grid from disengaging from the slides of the receiving and moving means.
[0014] In embodiments, the spin grid comprises a determined number of bars, the bars are connected together at one end by a rod which bears on a panel which, on the one hand, projects from the main body, and on the other hand, supports the receiving and moving means. The rod induces the deformation of the spin grid by bearing on the panel which has greater mechanical resistance than the spin grid. Indeed, the spin grid is more flexible than the panel which carries the receiving and moving means. The greater mechanical elasticity of the spin grid is due to the recesses located between the bars of the spin grid. The elastic mechanical deformation of the bars increases the volume of the spin housing and when said grid retracts, it presses the cleaning device in order to spin the latter.
[0015] In embodiments, the spin grid comprises two end bars which respectively define a longitudinal end of said grid, each end bar has an S-shaped profile. This specific shape of the S-shaped profile gives the spin grid greater deformability and also guides the spin grid to return to its initial position before deformation. In addition, the S-shaped profile facilitates the demolding of the spin grid during its manufacture by plastic injection.
[0016] In embodiments, the panel and the main body constitute a single part. This conceptual simplification allows said part to be molded by a single plastic injection step.
[0017] In embodiments, the panel comprises a reinforcement to reinforce its mechanical strength. The reinforcement stiffens the panel, which can thus exert a reaction force so that the amplitude of elastic deformation of the spin grid is greater than the amplitude of deformation of the panel itself.
[0018] In embodiments, the claw constitutes an outgrowth of a bar of the spin grid. Only a few bars are extended by a spin claw in order to simplify the mechanical design of the spin device while ensuring cooperation between the spin grid and the receiving and moving means.
[0019] In embodiments, the spin grid comprises a curved section which cooperates with the receiving and moving means so as to form an elastically deformable spin housing. The curved section of the spin grid gives it a certain mechanical elasticity.
[0020] In embodiments, the plate is assembled internally to the main body, the plate being superimposed on an internal face of the side wall of the main body. In particular, the wall of the main body comprises a window arranged at the level of the superposition between the side wall and the plate. The window makes it possible to achieve a saving of material which has no impact on the spinning performance.
[0021] The invention also relates to a cleaning kit comprising: a wringing device according to the invention, a broom which comprises a plate which, on the one hand, carries a cleaning device via two bayonet systems arranged respectively at each end of the plate, and on the other hand, comprises two articulated fins in order to fold and hang the cleaning device to carry out wringing, and a water container configured to receive the wringing device.
[0022] The wringing kit benefits from the same advantages as the wringing device of the invention. Brief description of the figures
[0023] The following description with reference to the attached drawings, given as non-limiting examples, will make it clear what the invention consists of and how it can be implemented. [ Fig.7 ] is a perspective side view of the wringing device of the [ Fig.4 ]. [ Fig.8 ] is an exploded perspective view of the wringing device of the [ Fig.4 ]. Description of embodiment(s)
[0024] As previously stated, the figures 1 to 3 illustrate an example of the state of the art, whereas the figures 4 to 8illustrate a wringing device 100 according to an embodiment of the present invention.
[0025] The wringing device 100 makes it possible to wring by compression of a cleaning device such as a mop. It should be noted that the broom 54 of the prior art can be used and marketed with the wringing device 100 and a water container to constitute a cleaning kit which is also in accordance with the invention.
[0026] In the example illustrated in figures 4 to 8 , the wringing device 100 consists of only two parts which are assembled together. In particular, the wringing device 100 comprises, on the one hand, a main body 101, and on the other hand, a plate 200 which carries a wringing grid 201. According to one embodiment of the invention, the plate 200 is configured to be assembled to the main body 101.
[0027] In this example, the main body 101 is cylindrical in shape, in particular, the main body 101 has a cylinder shape with a rectangular base. However, the main body 101 may have a different geometric base such as a circular, triangular, trapezoidal base, etc. As illustrated in [ Fig.6 ], the main body 101 extends longitudinally on either side of a median longitudinal plane P. The median longitudinal plane P more broadly constitutes the median longitudinal plane of the wringing device 100. In this example, on a first side of the longitudinally median plane, the main body 101 has a front portion 1010, and on a second side of said plane the main body comprises a dorsal portion 1011. The dorsal portion 1011 and the front portion 1010 are connected laterally to each other by two flanks 1012 opposite one another.
[0028] The main body 101 is delimited by a side wall. The side wall extends from the front portion 1010 to the back portion 1011 via the sides 1012. The side wall has an external face which externally delimits the main body 101. In addition, the side wall also has an internal face which delimits a passage to the wringing grid 201 allowing the insertion of a cleaning device such as a mop, a cleaning cover, etc. The internal distance between the two sides 1012 of the main body 101 defines the width of the passage, and the internal distance between the front portion 1010 and the back portion 1011 defines the depth of the passage, the length of the passage is defined by the distance between the first opening and the second opening of the main body 101.
[0029] Preferably, the plate 200 is assembled internally to the main body 101. In the example illustrated in figures 4 to 7 , the plate 200 is superimposed on an internal face of a wall of the main body 101.
[0030] In order to assemble the main body 101 and the plate 200, the main body is equipped with means for receiving the plate 200. The receiving means are arranged on the front portion 1010 of the main body 101. In the example illustrated in [ Fig.4 ], the means for receiving the plate 200 are formed by notches 102, 103 arranged on the side wall of the main body 101. In particular, here two notches 102 are provided at the level of the upper edge of the side wall and two notches 103 are provided through the side wall.
[0031] As illustrated in figures 4 And 8, the plate 200 comprises tabs 202 which are complementary to the notches 102, 103. Furthermore, the side wall of the main body comprises a window 104. In this example, the window 104 has a pentagonal shape, however, the window 104 can take other geometric shapes. In one embodiment, the window 104 is arranged at the level of the superposition between the side wall and the plate 200. Therefore in the example of the [ Fig.4 ], the surface which is visible at the [ Fig.4 ] in the window 104 corresponds to an external face 203 of the plate 200. The window 104 allows material to be saved without compromising the spinning performance. The window 104 is particularly visible in the exploded view of the [ Fig.8 ].
[0032] According to one embodiment, the main body 101 comprises at least one attachment arm 105 to a rim of a water container. The water container may be constituted by a bucket of water. In this example, the main body 101 comprises two attachment arms 105. Each attachment arm 105 extends laterally in a direction opposite the other attachment arm 105. In this example, each attachment arm 105 extends from a flank 1012 of the main body 101. When the water container is constituted by a bucket of water, to improve the stability of the wringing device 100 on a bucket of water, each attachment arm 105 may comprise a groove 106. The groove 106 is configured to fit onto the upper rim of the bucket of water. Typically, the rim of a bucket of water is angled, so each attachment arm 105 may include a tab 107 that clips onto the angled rim. The tab 107 is more particularly visible at figures 5 to 7, here, the tongue extends internally to the groove 106. The fixing arm 105 constitutes a lateral extension of the main body 101 in order to rest on the edges of a water container.
[0033] As illustrated in figures 7 And 8 , the main body 101 includes a first opening 108 that allows insertion of a cleaning device such as a mop into the passage provided by the main body 101. The main body 101 further includes a second opening 109 that provides access to the spin grid 201. The second opening 109 is opposite the first opening 108.
[0034] In the example illustrated in figures 4 to 8, the plate 200 and the main body 101 respectively comprise an extension 204, 110 at the level of the first opening 108. The extension 110 is arranged in the extension of the dorsal face 1011 of the main body 101. Conversely, the extension 205 extends from the plate 200 which is integral with the front portion 1010 of the main body 101. As illustrated in [ Fig.6 ], each extension 204, 110 is flared relative to a median longitudinal plane P of the main body 101. The flared nature of the extensions 204, 110 is only useful when inserting a cleaning device into the passage of the main body 101.
[0035] In the example of the [ Fig.5 ], the extension 110 of the main body 101 comprises a hole 112. This hole 112 is used for shelving the product in the store.
[0036] In the example illustrated in figures 4 to 7, the spin grid 201 extends protrudingly from the main body 101 at the second opening 109. Furthermore, the main body 101 comprises means 300 for receiving and moving the spin grid 201. In particular, the spin grid 201 is engaged in the means for receiving and moving 300 in order to form a spin housing 206. Nevertheless, the spin grid 201 is also mounted to be movable relative to the means for receiving and moving 300.
[0037] Consequently, the receiving and moving means 300 make it possible, on the one hand, to receive the spin grid 201 in order to form the spin housing 206, and on the other hand, to guide the spin grid 301 in its translational movement but also in its elastic deformation. In this example, the receiving and moving means 300 extend longitudinally from the second opening 109 of the main body 101 and make it possible to guide the spin grid 201 in deformation in order to enlarge the spin housing 206. This makes it possible to increase the contact surface between the cleaning device and the spin grid 201 in order to enlarge the compression surface of the cleaning device and thus improve the spinning performance.
[0038] The wringing device 100 comprises a panel 301 which projects from the main body 101. More particularly, the panel 301 extends longitudinally in the continuity of the dorsal portion 1011 of the main body 101. Moreover, as shown in [ Fig.8 ], the panel 301 and the main body 101 constitute a single part. This single part can for example be obtained by plastic injection. The panel 301 is a support for the receiving and moving means 300.
[0039] As is particularly visible at the [ Fig.5 ], the receiving and moving means 300 comprise at least one slide 302. Preferably, the receiving and moving means 300 comprise at least two slides 302. Here, each slide 302 is arranged in the panel 301.
[0040] In the example of the [ Fig.5], the receiving and moving means 300 comprise four slides 302. However, it is possible to arrange a greater number of slides 302 on the panel 301. Each slide 302 extends longitudinally between two opposite ends and parallel to the lateral edges of the panel 301. In particular, each slide 302 can extend in a rectilinear manner. Here, each slide 302 is constituted by a rectilinear slot.
[0041] In the present example, each slide 302 cooperates with the spin grid 201 in order to guide the deformation of the spin grid 201 under the pressure exerted by an operator on the cleaning device.
[0042] As can be seen in the [ Fig.6], the wringing grid 201 extends under the second opening 109 at the outlet of the passage formed in the main body 101. In particular, the wringing grid 201 extends over the entire width and depth of the passage of the main body 101, in order to receive the cleaning device. In one embodiment, the wringing grid 201 comprises a curved section 207. The curved section 207 carries, externally to the wringing housing 206, at least one protuberance 208. When the wringing device 100 is mounted on the edges of a bucket of water, the protuberance 208 constitutes the lowest point of the wringing device 100. Moreover, this protuberance 208 guides the flow of the wrung liquid towards the bottom of the bucket of water.
[0043] There [ Fig.6] shows the cross-section of the spin grid 201, the curved section 207 belongs more broadly to a U-shaped cross-section that the spin grid 201 has. The curved section 207 cooperates with the receiving and moving means 300 so as to form an elastically deformable spin housing 206. A first branch 209 of the U-shaped section extends from the plate 200 to a first side of the curved section 207. A second branch 210 of the U-shaped section extends from the second side of the curved section 207 to a rod 211 of the spin grid 201. The rod 211 bears on the internal face of the panel 301. The rod 211 extends longitudinally from one end to the other of the spin grid 201.
[0044] In the example of the figures 4 to 8, the spin grid 201 comprises a determined number of bars 212. In particular, the spin grid 212 here comprises twelve bars 212, a gap being arranged between each bar 212. Of course, the spin grid 201 can also have another number of bars 212. As can be seen in the figures, each bar 212 extends between the plate 200 and the rod 211, taking the shape of the U-shaped section previously described. The bars 212 extend in a U-shape and give the spin grid 201 its shape and in particular its U-shaped section. In addition, the bars 212 are connected to each other at their end by the rod 211 which rests on the panel 301.
[0045] As can be seen in the figures 5 to 8, the spin grid 201 may comprise two end bars 213 which respectively define a longitudinal end of the spin grid 201. According to one embodiment, each end bar 213 has the particularity of having an S-shaped profile. In particular, it is the first branch 209 of the U-shaped profile of the end bar 213 which has an S-shaped profile. This characteristic in particular allows the spin grid 201 to return to its initial shape after spinning by a cleaning device.
[0046] In the example of the figures 4 And 8, the length of the first branch 209 of the bars 212 decreases from each end bar 213 towards the two central bars 217. Consequently, the spin grid 201 is more flexible on the sides of the spin housing 206 near the end bars 213. This allows the spin housing 206 to compress the washing device more strongly in the center of the spin housing 206 while the lateral evacuation of water is facilitated.
[0047] In the example illustrated in figures 6 And 7, the plate 200 incorporates a lower portion 218 to which the first branch 209 of each bar 212 is connected. This lower portion 218 has a convex transverse curve. According to this configuration, the wringing grid 201 takes up this curvature in the continuity of the lower portion 218. This curvature helps to enlarge the volume of the wringing housing 206 but also to distribute the compression forces when an operator exerts back and forth movements on a cleaning device inserted in the wringing housing 206.
[0048] THE figures 5 to 8show an embodiment in which the spin grid 201 comprises at least one claw 214. Here, the claw 214 projects from the spin grid 201. In particular, the claw 214 comprises a first end secured to the spin grid 201 and a second free end. In this example, the first end is secured to the rod 211. Thus, each claw extends longitudinally from the rod 211 to its free end. Here, the claw 214 constitutes an outgrowth of a bar 212 of the spin grid 201.
[0049] As is particularly visible in the [ Fig.5 ], the spin grid 201 comprises four claws 214 which are configured respectively to be engaged in a slide 302. A saving of material is achieved by extending only four bars 212 by a claw 214. In this example, each end bar 213 is not extended by a claw 214, however, this may be different.
[0050] Each claw 214 is configured to cooperate with a slide 302 of the receiving and moving means 300. For this, each claw 214 has dimensions adapted so that the claw 214 is inserted into a slide 302 and moves in translation in this slide 302.
[0051] When an operator inserts a cleaning device into the wringing device 100 and applies pressure to perform wringing, each claw 214 is moved downward in a translational motion. The direction of the translational motion is represented by an arrow at [ Fig.5]. This translational movement causes a deformation of the spin housing 206. The spin grid 201 thus slides in the receiving and moving means 300, the rod 311 by sliding against the internal face of the panel 301 causes an elastic deformation of the spin grid 201 but also of the panel 301 which enlarges the spin housing 206.
[0052] As illustrated in figures 5 to 8 , each claw 214 comprises at its free end a stop head 215. The stop head 215 is arranged at the free end of the claw 214.
[0053] THE figures 5 to 8show that each stop head 215 projects from a slide 302. The stop head 215 is flat and has a straight stopper 216 which is surmounted by a rounded cap. The stop head 215 makes it possible, on the one hand, to prevent the claw 214 from disengaging from the slide 302 which receives it, and on the other hand, to stop the translation of the claw 214 in particular at the lower end of the slide 302.
[0054] When the bars 212 are moved, the rod 211 exerts pressure on the panel 301 which tends to deform the spin housing 206. Since the spin grid 201 is more flexible than the panel 301, it is first of all the spin grid 201 which deforms and in particular its U-shaped section, the first branch 209 of which is elastically deformed by reaction of the panel 301 to the pressure of the rod 211. The flexibility of the spin grid 201 relative to the panel 301 is essentially due to the fact that it has less material than the panel 301. However, the panel 301 also deforms slightly under the thrust of the rod 211 according to a lesser amplitude of deformation compared to the amplitude of deformation of the spin grid 201.
[0055] In this context, the panel 301 comprises a frame to reinforce its mechanical structure and increase the service life of the wringing device 100. For this purpose, the frame comprises a peripheral frame 303 which extends at the edges of the panel 301. The peripheral frame 303 is formed by projecting edges of the panel 301. In addition, the frame comprises load-bearing uprights 304 which extend parallel to the slides 302.
[0056] Furthermore, the main body 101 comprises a peripheral bead 113 around the periphery of the second opening. This peripheral bead 113 reinforces the structure of the wringing device 100. The peripheral bead 113 constitutes the upper edge of the peripheral frame 303 on the dorsal portion 1011.
[0057] The deformation of both the spin grid 201 and the panel 301 increases the receiving volume of the spin housing 206, which makes it possible to increase the contact surface between it and the cleaning device and thereby improve the spin performance.
[0058] Also provided is a cleaning kit that includes the wringing device 100, a cleaning device carried by a broom, and a water bucket configured to receive the wringing device 100.
[0059] The wringing device 100 is configured to operate with the prior art broom 54 which is illustrated in [ Fig.3 ]. The broom 54 is a flat broom which carries a cleaning device of the washing cover type. In particular, the broom 54 incorporates a plate which carries the cleaning device using two bayonet systems 62 arranged respectively at each end of the plate 58. In the example illustrated in [ Fig.3], the plate 58 comprises two articulated fins in order to fold in the extension of the handle 56 and hang the mop to carry out wringing. The plate 58 is equipped with a locking system 55 of the articulation. Here, the locking system takes the form of a pedal movable between a locked position and an unlocked position.
[0060] The wringing device 100, the bucket and the mop 54 can be made by plastic injection from polymeric materials chosen from the following list: polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE) and polyoxymethylene (POM) or a mixture of these materials.
[0061] In one embodiment, the wringing device 100, the bucket and the mop 54 may be made from one of the aforementioned recycled materials.
