Abstract
Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The present invention relates to a differential bus system with a connection arrangement for electrically connecting a bus subscriber to the differential bus system with the features of patent claim 1 or 12.
[0002] The present invention further relates to an electrical differential connector arrangement for a differential bus system having the features of patent claim 15. TECHNICAL BACKGROUND
[0003] Differential bus systems are used in many applications, for example, in industry, automotive, or office applications, for data transmission between multiple bus devices. The cable system of a differential bus system essentially comprises a differential main line, from which a differential stub line branches off for each bus device. Alternatively, the bus device can also be connected directly to the differential main line without the need for a differential stub line. Both shielded and unshielded cables are used.
[0004] Out of Fig. 1A is an equivalent circuit diagram for a differential bus system. The transmission characteristics of the differential bus system are not only determined by the resistive line resistances RH and GH , the capacitive line resistances CH and the inductive line resistances LH of the individual line sections, but also by the input impedance of each bus device TN. The input impedance of a bus device TN, i.e. an electronic module, is determined by an equivalent circuit diagram consisting of an ohmic input resistance R dev , a parasitic capacitance C dev and a parasitic inductance L dev at the differential input of the bus device TN. In the equivalent circuit diagram of the Fig. 1A the bus subscriber TN shown in the left half is connected directly to the main line of the bus system, while the bus subscriber TN shown in the right half is connected to the main line of the bus system via a stub line with the ohmic line resistance RS and GS, the capacitive line resistance CS and the inductive line resistance LS.
[0005] In particular, the parasitic capacitance C dev at the differential input of an electronic module, which results from the parasitic properties of the real components of the electronic module and the technical properties of the corresponding ideal components, significantly distorts the characteristic impedance of the differential bus. The parasitic capacitance C dev can be used to improve the transmission characteristics of the bus system according to Fig. 1B can be compensated by an additional inductance LC in the two main conductors of the differential bus system. For this purpose, corresponding line sections of the differential line system are usually separated, and a discrete inductive component, preferably a discrete coil, is inserted and connected to the adjacent line sections by soldering.
[0006] The soldering process is a comparatively complex and therefore expensive manufacturing process. The risk of poor solder joints, i.e., "cold solder joints," should not be underestimated, and can further increase manufacturing costs due to rework.
[0007] This is a situation that needs to be improved.
[0008] US 2019 / 0109417 A1 discloses a connector having a housing that can be fitted into a mating housing of a mating connector, having a plurality of terminals held by the housing and electrically connected to each other, and having a noise reduction element held in the housing to reduce noise occurring in the terminals. The noise reduction element is arranged on at least one of the plurality of terminals and is not arranged on at least one of the remaining terminals of the plurality of terminals. The noise reduction element is made of a material that includes a ferrite. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0009] Against this background, the present invention is based on the object of providing a technical compensation option for a parasitic capacitance present at the differential input of a bus subscriber in a differential bus system, which can be manufactured more cost-effectively and improves the high-frequency transmission behavior of the differential bus system.
[0010] According to the invention, this object is achieved by a connection arrangement for electrically connecting a bus subscriber to a differential bus system having the features of patent claim 1.
[0011] Accordingly, there is provided: A differential bus system with a connection arrangement for electrically connecting a bus subscriber to the differential bus system comprising a differential main conductor section with a first electrical main conductor and a second electrical main conductor, wherein the differential main conductor section has a first subsection and a second subsection electrically connected to the first subsection, wherein a first terminal for electrically connecting to a first mating terminal of the bus subscriber is formed in the first electrical main conductor between the first subsection and the second subsection, and a second terminal for electrically connecting to a second mating terminal of the bus subscriber is formed in the second electrical main conductor between the first subsection and the second subsection, and a second terminal for electrically connecting to a second mating terminal of the bus subscriber is formed in the second electrical main conductor between the first subsection and the second subsection, wherein the connecting arrangement comprises a first electrical stub conductor and a second electrical stub conductor, wherein the first electrical stub conductor is connected to the first terminal and is configured to be connectable to the first mating terminal, and the second electrical stub conductor is connected to the second terminal and is configured to be connectable to the second mating terminal, and wherein only the first and the second electrical main conductor are each enclosed by a body made of a magnetizable material, at least in the first subsection or in the second subsection.
[0012] According to the invention, in particular, neither of the two terminals is enclosed by a further body made of a magnetizable material. For example, the stub conductors are therefore not enclosed by a further body made of a magnetizable material.
[0013] The idea underlying the present invention is to enclose a specific line section of a differential bus system with a body made of a magnetizable material, instead of using a discrete inductive component. The inductive conductivity of the line section can be increased by enclosing it with a body made of a magnetizable material. In particular, the increase in the inductance of the line section can be specifically adjusted by a suitable geometry and a suitable choice of material for the body made of the magnetizable material. Thus, the parasitic capacitance at the differential input of the bus device can advantageously be compensated for by the body made of the magnetizable material.
[0014] In addition, instead of separating the line section, inserting the discrete inductive component into the separated line section and connecting the discrete inductive component to the separated line section by soldering, only a simple joining process is required in which the body made of a magnetizable material is guided over the line section.
[0015] For a particularly advantageous compensation of the parasitic capacitance at the differential input of the bus participant, the bodies made of the magnetizable material are preferably guided over the conductor sections of the differential bus system closest to the respective bus participant.
[0016] A bus system is a line arrangement that is used jointly for data transmission by several bus devices connected to the bus system. The line arrangement typically consists of a main line (trunk line) and several stub lines branching off the main line, each connected to a corresponding bus device. A direct connection of the bus devices to the main line is also conceivable. The main line preferably has a linear structure. In a linear structure, both ends of the main line can each be terminated with a matched impedance to prevent unwanted reflections of a high-frequency signal transmitted over the bus system. In addition to a linear structure, other main line structures are also conceivable, for example, a ring-shaped structure or a "tree-shaped" structure.
[0017] Due to interference immunity, especially when transmitting high-frequency signals, modern transmission systems, such as USB, Ethernet, HDMI, SATA, etc., are designed differentially. They feature a differential line arrangement in which a differential signal is transmitted. A differential line arrangement thus comprises a main line with a first electrical main conductor and a second electrical main conductor, as well as optionally several stub lines, each with a first electrical stub conductor and a second electrical stub conductor.
[0018] In this context, it should be noted that the terms "first electrical main conductor" and "second electrical main conductor" as well as "differential main conductor section" can be understood here and below in particular as the electrical conductors (e.g. stranded wires) of a differential main line, i.e. of two wires of a differential bus system or as the electrical paths in two contact elements of an electrical differential connector, in particular an electrical differential bus connector which is arranged between two line sections of a differential main line of a differential bus system.
[0019] Equivalently, the terms "first electrical stub conductor" and "second electrical stub conductor" as well as "differential stub conductor section" can be understood here and below in particular as the electrical conductors (e.g. stranded wires) of a differential stub line of a differential bus system between the main line and the bus subscriber or as the electrical paths in two contact elements of an electrical connector, in particular an electrical differential bus connector, which are arranged in the stub line path between the main line path and the bus subscriber of a differential bus system.
[0020] The connection arrangement has at least one differential main conductor section in which a first and a second connection are formed, each of which can be electrically connected to a first and a second mating connection of a bus subscriber, respectively. The first and the second mating connection of the bus subscriber form the differential connection and the differential input of the bus subscriber, respectively. The first and the second connection are formed between a first subsection and a second subsection of the differential main conductor section. Between the first and the second subsection, the first connection is formed in the first electrical main conductor and the second connection is formed in the second electrical main conductor, respectively. The connection arrangement thus has a differential T-shaped structure with the two subsections of the differential main conductor section and the electrical connection to the bus subscriber. This differential T-shaped structure can be implemented either as a T-shaped differential line section or as a T-shaped differential connector.
[0021] Such a connection arrangement is preferably electrically connected to two similar connection arrangements, each of which is electrically connected to the next adjacent bus subscribers in the differential bus system.
[0022] The electrical connection between two adjacent connection arrangements can be established directly for short distances or, for longer distances, via an interposed and appropriately dimensioned differential main conductor section. If the respective bus device is located at one end of the main line, the corresponding connection arrangement is terminated either at the corresponding end of the differential main conductor section with a matched impedance or with a bus device whose differential input has a matched impedance in addition to the parasitic equivalent elements.
[0023] The first electrical main conductor and the second electrical main conductor of the differential main conductor section can preferably be run parallel to one another. This applies in particular if the first and second main conductors are each designed as a contact element in the main conductor path of an electrical differential bus (plug-in) connector. If the first and second main conductors are each designed as stranded wires of an electrical main line, i.e. as stranded wires of a core forming an electrical main line, the two electrical main lines of the differential main line pair, and thus the first and second electrical main conductors, can also be stranded together. In this context, it should be mentioned that the two main lines of a differential bus system can be designed either as separate lines or, preferably, as a single line composed of two cores.
[0024] In a further embodiment of the differential bus system, the first and second connections can each be electrically connected directly, i.e. immediately, to the associated mating connections of the bus subscriber: Preferably, the first connection and the second connection can each be a plug-in interface of a differential bus connector. This can, for example, be a contacting area of a contact element of a differential bus connector, which electrically contacts an associated mating contact element of a mating connector, preferably designed as a housing connector, at the differential input of a bus subscriber. Alternatively, this can also be an insulation displacement connector, which on the one hand electrically contacts a main conductor and on the other hand has a contacting area that contacts a mating contact element of a mating connector formed in the bus subscriber.
[0025] In a second embodiment of a connection arrangement, the first and second terminals can each be electrically connected to a first electrical stub and a second electrical stub of a differential stub section formed within the connection arrangement. The first and second electrical stub can each be formed as a contact element or as a contact section of a contact element in a differential bus connector. The contact elements of the differential bus connector can each contact the associated mating contact elements of a mating connector of the bus subscriber. It is also conceivable that the first electrical stub conductor and the second electrical stub conductor are each stranded wires of a differential stub line, the ends of which can be electrically connected to a connector for electrical connection to a corresponding mating connector of the bus device. The stub conductor can also be an insulation displacement connector, which, on the one hand, electrically contacts the main conductor and, on the other hand, has a contacting area capable of contacting the mating contact element of a mating connector formed in the bus device.
[0026] The first electrical stub and the second electrical stub of the differential stub section can also preferably be routed parallel to one another. Alternatively, the first electrical stub and the second electrical stub of the differential stub section can also be stranded to one another if the first and second stub conductors are each designed as stranded wires of an electrical stub line.
[0027] According to the invention, the first and second electrical main conductors can each be enclosed by a body made of a magnetizable material, both in the first subsection and in the second subsection of the differential main conductor section. Such an implementation enables the best possible compensation of the influence of the parasitic capacitance present at the differential input of the bus node on the transmission behavior of the differential bus system. Alternatively, it is also possible for either the first and second electrical main conductors in the first subsection of the differential main conductor section or the first and second electrical main conductors in the second subsection of the differential main conductor section to each be enclosed by a body made of a magnetizable material.
[0028] In both cases, the first main electrical conductor and the second main electrical conductor are mechanically separated from one another by the body made of a magnetizable material, so that when a current flows in the first and in the second main electrical conductor, a different magnetic flux path can be formed in the at least one body and thus the inductance in both the first main electrical conductor and in the second main electrical conductor can be increased and thus adjusted.
[0029] The magnetizable materials can preferably be ferromagnetic metal alloys or ferrimagnetic materials, so-called ferrites. Magnetizable materials with low residual magnetism are generally used as a prerequisite for low-loss remagnetization at high-frequency currents and for low eddy current losses. Ferrite-based bodies, so-called ferrite cores, exhibit these material properties.
[0030] The inductance in the first and second main conductors in the first and second sections of the differential main conductor section is adjusted by means of the enveloping body made of magnetizable material via the so-called AL value of the magnetizable body, which corresponds to the inverse of the magnetic resistance R m of the magnetizable body, which in turn depends on the geometry and material of the body. The inductance can be increased and thus adjusted primarily by using a material with a high permeability µ r and a body with a large axial length.
[0031] The individual body made of magnetizable material is preferably designed as a body that can be separated from the respective main electrical conductor, i.e., as a body that can be axially displaced on the respective main electrical conductor and guided linearly by the respective main electrical conductor. Alternatively, the individual body made of magnetizable material can also be designed as a coating of the respective main electrical conductor with a magnetizable coating material. In the latter case, the body made of magnetizable material is integrally bonded to the respective main electrical conductor. Finally, the body made of magnetizable material can also be manufactured as a potting of the individual electrical conductor.
[0032] Advantageous embodiments and further developments emerge from the further subclaims and from the description with reference to the figures of the drawing.
[0033] In a first embodiment of a body made of magnetizable material, the body is sleeve-shaped. Each main electrical conductor, at least in the first subsection or in the second subsection, is enclosed by a corresponding sleeve-shaped body made of a magnetizable material, in which a corresponding magnetic flux path can form upon current flow.
[0034] In a second embodiment of a body made of magnetizable material, the body has two feedthroughs in the longitudinal axis direction and is thus designed as a double-hole body or a double-hole core. The first main electrical conductor passes through one feedthrough, and the second main electrical conductor passes through the other. In the web area of the double-hole body between the first and second main electrical conductors, the two magnetic fluxes of the first and second main electrical conductors constructively overlap due to the differential signal.
[0035] Preferably, the cross-section of the magnetizable body has a round outer profile in the first embodiment and an elliptical or oval outer profile in the second embodiment. However, a rectangular outer profile, in particular a square outer profile, or a polygonal outer profile is also conceivable. The inner profile of the magnetizable body is geometrically and sized to match the first or second main electrical conductors.
[0036] The connection arrangement preferably comprises a housing in which at least the differential main conductor section is arranged. Preferably, three feedthroughs can be provided in the housing, through which the first and second sections of the differential main conductor section and the electrical connection to the bus node are respectively routed.
[0037] With a view to simple assembly, the housing is preferably made up of several parts, in particular two parts, made up of two housing shells. The housing serves to guide the individual conductors, i.e. the first and second main conductors and optionally the first and second stub conductors. In addition, the housing seals the contact elements against moisture and dirt from the outside. Finally, the housing can also fix the individual magnetizable bodies, which can be moved on the individual electrical conductors, for example by means of strut-shaped formations in the housing shells axially in a specific axial position relative to the individual electrical conductors. A material-to-material radial fixing can be achieved, for example, by gluing or a force-to-fit radial fixing by pressing the magnetizable bodies into the housing.
[0038] The housing can preferably be made of an electrically insulating material. To implement a shielded bus system, the housing can also be made of metal or have a metallic coating. Metallic shielding plates can also be arranged in an electrically insulating housing, into which outer conductor contact elements of the differential bus connector are formed at the individual connector interfaces.
[0039] In a further preferred embodiment of a magnetizable body, the magnetizable body is formed in multiple parts. The magnetizable body is thus composed of several sub-bodies, in particular two sub-bodies, each extending over a different angular segment relative to a longitudinal axis of the magnetizable body. The individual sub-bodies are each fixed in an associated housing part or an associated housing shell of the housing.
[0040] The technical advantage of this type of magnetizable body is that the individual magnetizable bodies do not need to be "threaded" over the individual electrical conductors, but can be pre-inserted and secured into the corresponding housing shell. Subsequent upgrading of a differential bus system with magnetizable bodies is thus easily possible without disassembling the differential bus line system, simply by replacing the housing. Such a multi-part solution for a magnetizable body is feasible for both the sleeve-shaped and the double-hole versions of the body. To avoid gaps between the individual bodies, which could reduce inductance and thus cause incorrect compensation, high-precision individual part manufacturing and assembly is required.
[0041] In order to increase precision, instead of individual partial bodies that are fixed in associated housing shells, in a further preferred embodiment, correspondingly shaped areas of the housing shell can be coated with a magnetizable material.
[0042] If the first electrical main conductor and the second electrical main conductor are each encased by a magnetizable body in both the first subsection and the second subsection of the differential main conductor section, then in a further embodiment of a magnetizable body for the first and second electrical main conductors, the magnetizable bodies in the first and second subsections of the differential main conductor section can be combined into a single magnetizable body. This embodiment is particularly advantageous for the variant in which the magnetizable body is realized by coating the housing shells with a magnetizable coating material.
[0043] This design is also easily implemented with a first or second main conductor, each designed as a contact element and in which a contact socket is formed as the first or second terminal for electrically connecting to a bus device. In this case, only a through-hole is required in the common magnetizable body to establish the electrical connection to the bus device.
[0044] In a first embodiment of a connection arrangement, a first cutting edge of a first insulation displacement connector is electrically connected to the first terminal of the first electrical main conductor. Equivalently, a second cutting edge of a second insulation displacement connector is electrically connected to the second terminal of the second electrical main conductor.
[0045] The first cutting edge of the first insulation displacement terminal and the second cutting edge of the second insulation displacement terminal cut through the insulation of the first main conductor and the second main conductor, respectively, thus contacting the first electrical main conductor in the first connection and the second electrical main conductor in the second connection. The common LSA insulation displacement connection technology (without soldering, screwing, or stripping) is ideal for simplifying production.
[0046] The first insulation displacement connector further comprises a first contact terminal, which is preferably integrally connected to the first cutting edge and is configured to be electrically connected to a first mating terminal of a bus subscriber. Equivalently, the second insulation displacement connector comprises a second contact terminal, which is preferably integrally connected to the second cutting edge and is configured to be electrically connected to a second mating terminal of a bus subscriber. The first and second contact terminals of the first and second insulation displacement connectors, respectively, represent contact elements of a differential connector interface, which each contact mating contact elements of a mating connector of the bus subscriber.Alternatively, the contact elements of the differential connector interface can also contact mating contact elements of a mating connector that is electrically connected to a differential stub line, which in turn can be connected to the bus device via an electrical plug connection. Finally, in a further variant, the first and second contact terminals of the first insulation displacement terminal and the second insulation displacement terminal can each be electrically connected to stripped stub lines, i.e., to a first electrical stub line and a second electrical stub line, respectively, preferably via a crimp or plug-in terminal connection. Such a differential stub line can in turn be electrically connected to the bus device via an electrical plug connection. In particular, the last variant represents the simplest realization in terms of manufacturing technology of a connection arrangement realized as a T-element between the main line and the respective bus participant of a differential bus system.
[0047] In the first embodiment of a connection arrangement using insulation displacement technology, preferably sleeve-shaped magnetizable bodies each enclose the first main line section and the second main line section at least in the first subsection or in the second subsection.
[0048] In a second embodiment of a connection arrangement, the connection arrangement is implemented as a differential bus connector of the differential bus system according to the invention. The first electrical main conductor of the differential main conductor section of the connection arrangement is designed as a first contact element of the differential bus connector. Equivalently, the second electrical main conductor of the differential main conductor section is designed as a second contact element of the differential bus connector.
[0049] In a preferred embodiment of the second embodiment, the differential bus connector has a first and a second three-armed contact element. The first and the second electrical main conductor in the first subsection of the differential main conductor section of the connection arrangement each form a first contact arm of the first and the second three-armed contact element, respectively. The first and the second electrical main conductor in the second subsection of the differential main conductor section of the connection arrangement each form a second contact arm of the first and the second three-armed contact element, respectively, and the first and the second electrical stub conductors of the connection arrangement each form a third contact arm of the first and the second three-armed contact element, respectively. The first and the second three-armed contact elements can each be T-shaped, F-shaped, or Y-shaped.The first and second three-arm contact elements can each be designed as a single piece or as multiple pieces, for example, two pieces. In a multi-piece design, the individual contact arms of the first and second three-arm contact elements can be connected to each other, for example, via a screw or press connection.
[0050] The contact between the differential bus connector and the associated differential mating connectors is made using common contact technologies from connector technology, i.e. preferably via radial contact or alternatively via end contact.
[0051] The first and second contact elements are each encased by a magnetizable body, at least in the first section or in the second section. In three-arm contact elements, at least the first contact arms or the second contact arms of the first and second three-arm contact elements are each encased by a magnetizable body. Contact is made at the axial ends of the first and second contact elements with mating contact elements of corresponding mating connectors.
[0052] Within the scope of the unified inventive overall concept, the invention also covers a differential bus system with a differential bus connector according to claim 12, the connection arrangement of which in turn has a first terminal and a second terminal, wherein the first terminal and the second terminal are each designed as a contacting area for a mating contact element of a mating connector of the bus subscriber, preferably as blind holes or socket contacts.
[0053] In addition to the three-arm contact elements, linearly shaped contact elements are also conceivable, in which contact is made with the mating connectors at the axial ends and in a central region, preferably in the center, of the contact element: The first and the second electrical main conductor of the first sub-section of the connection arrangement each form a contact element section from one axial end to the central region, preferably to the center, of the respective linearly shaped contact element. The first and the second electrical main conductor of the second sub-section of the connection arrangement each form a contact element section from the central region, preferably from the center, to the other axial end of the respective linearly shaped contact element. The differential stub conductor section with the first electrical stub conductor and the second electrical stub conductor is in this case implemented outside the differential bus connector. The differential stub conductor section consists of the mating contact elements of the differential mating connector, which contact the two linearly shaped contact elements of the differential bus connector in the central area, preferably in the middle, and the stub conductors connected to the mating contact elements, which each lead to the bus subscriber.
[0054] In order to contact the linear contact elements of the differential bus connector with the associated mating contact elements of the differential mating connector, blind holes are preferably formed in a central region, preferably in the center, of the contact elements, into which the pin-shaped mating contact elements can each be inserted.
[0055] At least the contact element section between the one axial end and the central region, preferably the center, of the two linear contact elements or the contact element section between the center and the other axial end of the two linear contact elements are each enclosed by a magnetizable body.
[0056] The first and second contact elements can each be manufactured by machining (turning, milling) or by punching and bending technology.
[0057] The invention also covers a differential bus system with a differential connector assembly consisting of a differential bus connector and a first and a second differential mating connector, each of which can be plugged into the differential bus connector at one of the three connector interfaces of the differential bus connector. The technical features disclosed previously and below for the connection assembly and the differential bus connector also apply analogously to the differential connector assembly.
[0058] In an embodiment of a differential connector arrangement according to claim 15, the magnetizable bodies may not be arranged within the differential bus connector, but may be guided via the mating contact elements of at least one differential mating connector which is connected to the first subsection or to the second subsection of the differential main conductor section of the differential bus connector.
[0059] In this case, too, the first and second electrical main conductors of the connecting arrangement are each enclosed by a magnetizable body. The technical features of the connecting arrangement and the differential bus connector disclosed above and below also apply analogously to the differential mating connector. Finally, it should be noted that the individual magnetizable bodies can also be routed outside the housing of a differential bus connector, outside the housing of an electrical differential connector configured with insulation displacement terminals, or outside the differential connector arrangement, each over the first and second electrical main conductors.
[0060] The above-mentioned configurations and further training courses can be combined as desired, where appropriate. TABLE OF CONTENTS OF THE DRAWING

The differential stub conductor section 3 is in turn composed of a first stub conductor 3 1 and a second stub conductor 3 2. The first stub conductor 3 1 is connected to the first main conductor 2 1 in a first connection 4 1 of the first main conductor 2 1 between a first sub-section 5 1 and a second sub-section 5 2 of the differential main conductor section 2.Equivalently, the second stub conductor 3 2 is connected to the second main conductor 2 2 in a second terminal 4 2 of the second main conductor 2 2 between the first subsection 5 1 and the second subsection 5 2 of the differential main conductor section 2.
[0066] The differential stub section 3 is connected either directly or indirectly via a further differential line section to a differential input of an electrical module which is assigned to a bus subscriber TN (cf. Figuren 1A and 2A ) of the differential bus system. The first subsection 5 1 and the second subsection 5 2 of the differential main conductor section 2 are each electrically connected to other bus subscribers TN of the differential bus system via further connection arrangements or, alternatively, are terminated with a matched impedance.
[0067] The first main conductor 2 1 and the second main conductor 2 2 are according to Fig. 2A in the first subsection 5 1 and in the second subsection 5 2 of the differential main conductor section 2, each enclosed by a body 6 made of a magnetizable material. The body 6 is preferably made of a ferrite material. In the illustration in Fig. 2A The magnetizable body 6 is sleeve-shaped and encloses only one main conductor 2 1 or 2 2 . In addition, the first main conductor 2 1 and the second main conductor 2 2 are in Fig. 2A each enclosed by a sleeve-shaped magnetizable body 6 in the first subsection 5 1 and in the second subsection 5 2. A variant is also conceivable in which the first main conductor 2 1 and the second main conductor 2 2 are each enclosed by a magnetizable body 6 only in the first subsection 5 1 or only in the second subsection 5 2.
[0068] Out of Fig. 2B A second embodiment of a magnetizable body 6 emerges, which encloses the first main conductor 2 1 and the second main conductor 2 2 together. For this purpose, the magnetizable body 6 has two axial passages 7 through which the first main conductor 2 1 and the second main conductor 2 2 are guided.
[0069] From the Figuren 3A and 3BAn embodiment of a connection arrangement 1 for a differential bus system is shown, which is designed as a differential bus connector 8. The differential bus connector 8 has a first contact element 9 1 and a second contact element 9 2 , each of which has three arms and serves as inner conductor contact elements. The axial ends of the three contact arms of the first and second contact elements 9 1 and 9 2 each form a contacting area K 11 , K 21 , K 12 , K 22 , K 31 and K 32 for electrical contacting with an associated mating contact element of a differential mating connector.
[0070] The contact arms of the first and second contact elements 9 1 and 9 2 , which are located in the differential main conductor section 2 between the contacting area K 11 or K 21 and the first terminal 4 1 or the second terminal 4 2 , respectively, form the first main conductor 2 1 and the second main conductor 2 2 in the first sub-section 5 1 of the connecting arrangement 1. The contact arms of the first and second contact elements 9 1 and 9 2 , which are located in the differential main conductor section 2 between the contacting area K 12 or K 22 and the first terminal 4 1 or the second terminal 4 2 , respectively, form the first main conductor 2 1 and the second main conductor 2 2 in the second sub-section 5 2 of the connecting arrangement 1. The contact arms of the first and second contact elements 9 1 and 9 2 , which are located in the differential stub conductor section 3 between the contacting area K 13 or K 23 and the first connection 4 1 or.the second connection 4 2, each form the first stub conductor 3 1 and the second stub conductor 3 2 of the connection arrangement 1.
[0071] In the presentation of the Fig. 3A and 3B In the first subsection 5 1 and in the second subsection 5 2 of the differential main conductor section 2, the contact arms of the three-armed contact elements 9 1 and 9 2 are each surrounded by a common magnetizable body 6.
[0072] To implement a shielded differential bus system, shielding and outer conductor contacting are formed at the connector interfaces in the differential bus connector 8: To shield the differential bus connector 8, two metallic outer conductor shells 10 1 and 10 2 are preferably provided, which are designed to be connectable to one another and thus completely enclose the first and second contact elements 9 1 and 9 2. To make outer conductor contact with an associated outer conductor mating contact element of a differential mating connector or with an outer conductor of a shielded differential line, outer conductor contact regions 11 1 , 11 2 and 11 3 are formed on the two metallic outer conductor shells 10 1 and 10 2 at the three connector interfaces.
[0073] For electrical insulation between the differential inner conductor contact areas K and with respect to the outer conductor contact areas 11, insulator elements 12 1 , 12 2 and 12 3 are arranged at the three connector interfaces.
[0074] The connection arrangement 1 or the differential bus connector 8 has a housing 13 with preferably two housing shells 13 1 and 13 2 that can be fastened to one another. The two outer conductor shells 11 1 and 11 2 are inserted and fixed into the housing 13. The connection arrangement 1 according to the invention, i.e. the first and second contact elements 9 1 and 9 2 of the differential bus connector 8 with the associated magnetizable bodies 6, is inserted into the two outer conductor shells 11 1 and 11 2 and fixed via the insulator elements 12 1 , 12 2 and 12 3. For contacting the differential bus connector 8 with associated differential mating connectors, associated feedthroughs 14 1 , 14 2 , 14 3 are formed in the housing.
[0075] From the Fig. 4A and 4BA further embodiment of a connection arrangement 1 for a differential bus system emerges, which is implemented as a differential bus connector 8. The differential bus system as well as the illustrated differential bus connector 8 are not shielded and therefore do not have metallic outer conductor shells 10 1 and 10 2 .
[0076] The magnetizable bodies 6 are formed in two parts and each have a first magnetizable partial body 6 1 and a second magnetizable partial body 6 2 . The magnetizable partial bodies 6 1 and 6 2 are fixed in an associated electrically insulating housing shell 13 1 and 13 2 , respectively. Axial fixation of the two magnetizable partial bodies 6 1 and 6 2 is achieved by struts 15 formed in the housing shells 13 1 and 13 2 . Radial fixation can be achieved by adjusting the inner diameters of the feedthroughs 7 of the two magnetizable bodies 6 to the outer diameters of the first and second contact elements 9 1 and 9 2 . The struts 15 also serve to guide the first and second contact elements 9 1 and 9 2 within the differential bus connector 8.
[0077] In a further embodiment of a non-shielded connection arrangement 1 according to the Fig. 5A bis 5C the contact is made between the first main conductor 2 1 and the first stub conductor 3 1 and between the second main conductor 2 2 and the second stub conductor 3 2 via a first insulation displacement terminal 16 1 and a second insulation displacement terminal 16 2 : the strands of a first main line 17 1 and a second main line 17 2 form the first main conductor 2 1 and the second main conductor 2 2 of the connecting arrangement 1. The first main line 17 1 and the second main line 17 2 are surrounded, for example, by a cable sheath 18 and are exposed from the cable sheath 18 in the area of the connecting arrangement 1.
[0078] In this embodiment, a first contact terminal 27 1 and a second contact terminal 27 2 , each integrally connected to the first insulation displacement terminal 16 1 and the second insulation displacement terminal 16 2 , form the first stub conductor 3 1 and the second stub conductor 3 2 , respectively. The first and second insulation displacement terminals 16 1 and 16 2 sever the insulation of the first and second main line sections 17 1 and 17 2 with their first cutting edge 28 1 and second cutting edge 28 2 , respectively, so that electrical contact is established between the strands of the first and second main line sections 17 1 and 17 2 and the first contact terminal 27 1 and the second contact terminal 27 2 , respectively. The first and second contact terminals 27 1 and 27 2 form a differential and unshielded plug interface of a connection arrangement 1 implemented as a differential bus connector 8.A mating connector formed at the differential input of the bus node TN can be plugged into this differential connector interface. Alternatively, the first and second contact terminals 27 1 and 27 2 can each be electrically connected to the strands of a differential stub line 3, which in turn can be electrically connected to a bus node TN, for example, via a plug connection.
[0079] In a further embodiment of a connection arrangement 1 according to the Fig. 6A and 6BA differential connector arrangement 19 is provided, which is composed of a differential bus connector 8 and, for example, three corresponding differential mating connectors 20. The magnetizable bodies 6 are not arranged within the differential bus connector 8, but rather in a first differential mating connector 20 1 and in a second differential mating connector 20 2. The first differential mating connector 20 1 forms an electrical plug connection with the differential bus connector 8 in the first subsection 5 1 of the differential main conductor section 2. The second differential mating connector 20 2 forms an electrical plug connection with the differential bus connector 8 in the second subsection 5 1 of the differential main conductor section 2.
[0080] The two mating contact elements 21 1 and 21 2 of the first differential mating connector 20 1 and the two mating contact elements 22 1 and 22 2 of the second differential mating connector 20 2 are each enclosed by a magnetizable body 6. The two mating contact elements 21 1 and 21 2 of the first differential mating connector 20 1 are electrically connected, for example, via a crimp connection, to a first main conductor 24 1 and a second main conductor 24 2 of a differential main line section 23 1 of the differential bus system. The two mating contact elements 22 1 and 22 2 of the second differential mating connector 20 2 are equivalently electrically connected, for example, to a first main conductor 25 1 and a second main conductor 25 2 of another differential main line section 23 2 of the differential bus system. The two mating contact elements 21 1 and 21 2 of the first differential mating connector 20 1 and the two mating contact elements 22 1 and 22 2 of the second differential mating connector 20 2 are each arranged with the associated magnetizable body 6 in a connector housing 26 1 and 26 2 of the first and second differential mating connectors 20 1 and 20 2 and fixed therein, for example by means of an adhesive.
[0081] Although the present invention has been fully described above using preferred embodiments, it is not limited thereto but can be modified in many ways.
