Abstract
Description
field of technology
[0001] The invention relates to a door hinge for concealed installation between a door frame and a door leaf, with two housings, each forming a chamber open to one broad side of the housing, a first housing being fastenable in a recess in the door leaf and a second housing being fastenable in a recess in the door frame, and hinge brackets interacting in pairs and connected to one another so as to be pivotable about a vertical axis, each hinge bracket engaging with a first end section in one of the chambers and being mounted so as to be pivotable about a vertical axis of rotation with bearing pins pointing away from one another, each engaging in a bearing bore, and with guide pins of a second end section pointing away from one another, which are guided so as to be longitudinally movable in a guide recess of the chamber of the other housing. State of the art
[0002] EP 1 308 592 B1 discloses a door hinge for a concealed arrangement between a door frame and a door leaf, comprising two interlocking hinge brackets that are pivotably connected to one another about a vertical axis of rotation. The door leaf structure comprises two housings, each housing containing two bearing inserts. The end section of each hinge bracket is pivotably mounted on the bearing inserts about a vertical axis of rotation, and the end section of the other hinge bracket is guided for longitudinal movement. Each of the bearing inserts has a bearing pin or a bearing bore into which the bearing pins engage for the pivotable mounting of a hinge bracket. For longitudinal movement, each bearing insert forms a guide recess in the form of a completely closed elongated hole, into which guide pins connected to the respective hinge brackets engage.By means of adjusting spindles arranged on the rear side of one of the two housings in a rotatable manner and also held horizontally displaceable, the two bearing inserts arranged in the housing can be moved in or out of the respective housing.
[0003] EP 1 574 649 A2 also discloses a door hinge for a concealed arrangement between the door frame and the door leaf. In order to produce the simplest possible structure at a low cost, the two hinge brackets, which are connected to one another for rotation about a vertical axis, are designed as identical connecting elements. Here, too, bearing inserts arranged in the housings are disclosed, on which the end of each hinge bracket is pivotally mounted about a vertical axis of rotation, and the end of the other hinge bracket is guided for longitudinal movement. In contrast to EP 1 308 592 B1, the guide recesses, into which the guide pins arranged on one of the end sections of a hinge bracket engage, are aligned at an angle. Here, too, the guide recess is closed towards the front of the housing.
[0004] DE 103 12 403 B4 discloses a roller conveyor comprising two belt halves. The first belt half forms two outer belt rollers spaced apart from one another in alignment. A middle belt roller formed by the second belt half is arranged between these two outer belt rollers. To facilitate assembly of the roller conveyor, two pivots facing away from one another are mounted in the middle belt roller in a rotationally fixed manner. These pivots can be synchronously extended and retracted from the front ends of the middle belt roller by rotating a rotating element against the force of a spring element, for example a compression spring. In the extended state, the pivots establish a joint connection between the belt halves, which is eliminated in the retracted state.
[0005] To install door hinges designed for concealed installation between the door frame and door leaf, it is necessary to separate the housings, which are each installed in the recesses of the door frame or door leaf. To do this, the end sections of the hinge brackets must be moved in and out of the respective housings. With existing door hinges, the end sections of the hinge brackets can only be moved in and out of the respective housings if the bearing inserts, on which the end sections of the hinge arches are mounted and guided for longitudinal movement, are adjusted by turning several adjusting spindles. This requires several handling steps when installing such a door hinge. However, moving the end sections out of the bearing inserts is not possible because the end sections are connected to the bearing inserts. Summary of the invention
[0006] The invention is based on the object of providing a dimensionally stable door hinge which is concealed when installed and which can be installed as easily as possible.
[0007] The problem is solved by the invention specified in the claims, wherein the subclaims represent not only advantageous developments of the invention characterized in the independent claims, but also independent solutions to the problem.
[0008] While in the prior art, guide recesses in the form of an elongated hole are used for the longitudinally movable guidance of guide pins formed by an end section of a hinge bracket, which limit the movement of the guide pins in the axial direction on both sides and thus prevent displacement of the guide pins out of the housing, the invention initially and essentially proposes that the guide recesses of at least one housing which forms a chamber open to a broad side of the housing be open on a side facing an opening edge of the chamber. The guide recesses thus have an opening facing a broad side. As a result of this configuration, the guide pins can be displaced horizontally through the openings out of the respective guide recess. The horizontal extent of the guide recesses can run orthogonally to the opening edge of the chambers. However, it is also possible to align the guide recesses at an angle.
[0009] Furthermore, it is provided that at least one of the other end sections of the hinge brackets, which are not guided linearly but are mounted so as to be pivotable about a vertical axis of rotation, has bearing pins pointing away from one another which engage in bearing bores and can be brought into a release position in which the bearing pins have emerged from the bearing bores. In this release position, at least a first end section of a hinge bracket comprising the bearing pins and optionally also a second end section of the other hinge bracket forming the guide pins can be moved out of the chamber. With the design of the door hinge according to the invention, the two housings can be separated from one another in this release position and the door leaf can be assembled or disassembled.A frame-side housing associated with the door hinge and a door leaf-side housing can be pre-attached to a recess in the door frame or door leaf during assembly. The first end section of one of the hinge brackets and the second end section of the other hinge bracket can be housed in the chamber of the door leaf-side housing, while the other end sections of the hinge brackets have not yet been inserted into the chamber of the door frame-side housing.
[0010] To bring the door hinge into a functional position in which the two housings are securely connected via the hinge brackets, the free end sections of the hinge brackets are inserted into the chamber of the door frame-side housing. This requires that the guide pins are inserted into the corresponding guide recess and the bearing pins engage in the corresponding bearing bores. For this purpose, the bearing pins can be simultaneously extended by turning a rotating element from the front ends of a bearing recess formed by the first end section of one of the two hinge brackets. The greatest possible extension position corresponds to the functional position in which the bearing pins engage in the bearing bores.
[0011] The rotating element can be a nut rotatably mounted in an opening in a wall of the bearing recess. The rotating element is preferably driven by a rotary drive tool, which can be inserted into a polygonal opening in the rotating element.
[0012] The design of the bearing pins is essentially disclosed in DE 103 12 403 B4, wherein the bearing pins of the door hinge according to the invention each have two control slots extending transversely to the direction of extension of the bearing pins, into which at least one control pin of the rotary element engages.
[0013] It is provided that two bearing inserts are arranged in each chamber. The position of the bearing inserts within the chamber can be fixed using a fixing screw which passes through a threaded hole in the bearing insert on the rear of the housing, and a fixing element. The bearing inserts in the chamber of both housings, preferably the door-side housing, can be adjustable vertically and horizontally. This enables precise adjustment of the door leaf relative to the door frame, particularly when installed. The bearing insert can be moved vertically, i.e. vertically parallel to the longitudinal axis of the housing, using a first eccentric element. The bearing insert can be moved horizontally, using a second eccentric element which passes through a filling element which is arranged in the bearing insert and is connected to the bearing insert in a displaceable and rotationally fixed manner. The filling element rests laterally on the two opposite vertical inner walls of the housing chamber. To move the bearing inserts vertically or horizontally, the locking screw must be loosened.
[0014] Each bearing insert can form one or more guide recesses, for example, grooves with a rectangular cross-section. The guide recesses can be designed so that in an overextended position, in which the opening angle of the door leaf exceeds 180°, the guide pins cannot protrude from the guide recesses, thus eliminating the need for an additional stop. In this overextended position, the housings can even touch each other, so that the guide pins of an uninstalled door hinge remain in the guide recesses.
[0015] Furthermore, the bearing inserts in one of the two chambers can each form a bearing bore into which a bearing pin can engage. The bearing inserts in the other chamber can form a receptacle into which the vertical axis of rotation engages, around which the second end section of a hinge bracket is pivotably mounted.
[0016] When the door leaf is closed, the inventive door hinge is concealed. The door hinge can be mounted on interior and commercial doors, particularly on door leaves and door frames made of wood, steel, metal, or aluminum. The housings and hinge brackets can be made of metal, steel, or plastic. The hinge brackets can also be manufactured cost-effectively as cast parts made of metal or plastic. Description of the embodiments
[0018] The door hinge 1 according to the invention has two housings 2, 3, each forming a chamber 6, 6' open to a broad side of the housing 2, 3 (see Figures 1, 2 and 3). Two bearing inserts 13, 13' are arranged in guide recesses in each of the chambers 6, 6'. A hinge bracket 8 with a first end section 9 and a hinge bracket 8' with a second end section 10' engage in the bearing inserts 13 of the door leaf-side housing 2. Figure 3In the functional position of the door hinge 1 shown, the hinge bracket 8' with a first end section 9' and the hinge bracket 8 with a second end section 10 engage in the bearing inserts 13' of the door frame-side housing 3. The hinge brackets 8, 8' are pivotally connected to one another about a vertical axis of rotation 7. Starting from the Figure 3 In the functional position shown, the housings 2, 3 can be pivoted about this vertical axis of rotation 7 between different rotational positions with an opening angle α (see Figure 4, 5 and 6). In order to pivotably mount the first end sections 9, 9', the bearing inserts 13, 13' form bearing bores 12, 12', into which mutually facing bearing pins 11, 11' arranged on the first end sections 9, 9' engage. The bearing pins 11, 11' of the two hinge brackets 9, 9' differ in that the bearing pins 11' arranged on the first end section 9' of the hinge bracket 8' are mounted in a bearing recess 19 formed by the first end section 9' so as to be extendable relative to one another (see Figure 8 ). By rotating a rotating element 22, the bearing pins 11' are pushed out of the bearing recess 19 (see Figure 1 ) or shifted out (see Figure 2 ). The bearing pins 11 are arranged on the hinge bracket 8 in a non-displaceable manner.
[0019] In the Figure 1In the release position shown, the bearing pins 11' are fully displaced into the bearing recess 19. In this position, the first end section 9' of the hinge bracket 8' and the second end section 10 of the hinge bracket 8 can be displaced out of the bearing inserts 13' of the chamber 6' of the frame-side housing 3 or brought into the functional position of the chamber 6' to be fixed. In this case, a projection 23 formed by the bearing inserts 13' limits the penetration depth of the free first end section 9' of the hinge bracket 8'.
[0020] To the free end sections 9', 10 in the Figure 3 and 8 In order to fix the bearing pins 11' in the position to be fixed of the free end sections 9', 10 in the chamber 6', the bearing pins 11' are moved out of the bearing recess 19 into the bearing bores 12' by rotating the rotating element 22 clockwise.
[0021] The second end sections 10, 10' of the hinge brackets 8, 8' form guide pins 18. As shown in the Figures 4 to 6 As shown, the guide pins 18 are guided in the functional position by opening or closing the door leaf in guide recesses 15 formed by the bearing inserts 13, 13'. Figures 4 and 5 In the illustrated embodiment, the guide recesses 15 are aligned obliquely. In another embodiment shown in Figure 6 In the embodiment shown, the guide recesses 15 are arranged orthogonally to an opening edge 16 of the chambers 6, 6'.
[0022] The guide recesses 15 are elongated grooves with a rectangular cross-section and each have an opening 17 on the side facing an opening edge 16 of the chamber 6, 6'. As shown in the Figures 1 and 2As shown, the guide pins 18 can be displaced horizontally through the openings 17 from the guide recess 15 into a release position.
[0023] Figure 7 shows the door hinge 1 in an overextended position, in which the opening angle α of the door leaf is greater than 180°. The guide pins 18 are guided in the associated guide recesses 15 and cannot be displaced from them. This design of the guide recesses 15 does not require an additional stop that would prevent the guide recesses 15 from being displaced.
[0024] The bearing journals 11, 11' are each designed identically. The bearing journals 11' each have a circular cylindrical head 20, which, as shown in Figure 8 , 11 and 12shown, in the functional position, enters the bearing bore 12' formed by the bearing insert 13' through a longitudinal displacement of the bearing pins 11. The circular-cylindrical head 20 is followed by an essentially quarter-circular section 21 (see Figure 8 and 9 ). As in the Figures 10 to 12 As shown, the flat surfaces 24 of the bearing pins 11' are in contact with one another. The flat surfaces 25 extending at right angles to them are flush with one another and rest against a rear side of the rotating element 22 (see Figure 9). Each flat surface 25 forms two control slots 26 running transversely to the direction of extension of the bearing journals 11'. In addition, each end section 21 of the bearing journals 11' has a rounded niche 28. In order to slide directly along the inner wall of the bearing recess 19, the quarter-circular section 21 has a rounded wall 29 that projects radially beyond the roundness of the circular-cylindrical section 20. The circular-cylindrical section 20 slides in a bearing bush 30, the end of which is inserted into the bearing recess 19. The bearing bush 30 has a collar 34 projecting radially outward at its end, which is mounted in a section of the bearing recess 19 with an enlarged diameter on a step 32 formed thereby. The collar is flush with the end edge of the bearing recess 19. A plug 31 is inserted into the collar 34.The plug 31 also has a collar 35, which rests on a step formed by the collar 34 of the bearing bush 30 and directly abuts an underside 33 of the first end section 9' of the hinge bracket 8'. The plug 31 prevents the front edge of the bearing recess 19 and the underside 33 from rubbing directly against each other and forms a bearing ring.
[0025] When installed, the rotating element 22 rests in a bore 39 in the side wall of the bearing recess 19 in such a way that the rotating element cannot fall out. This can be achieved, for example, by caulking the edge of the bore 39. The rotating element 22 rests with its end face on the flat surfaces 25 of the two end sections 21 of the bearing journals 11' (see Figure 8). The rotating element 22 forms two control pins 27, each of which engages in a control slot 26. The rotation of the rotating element 22 can be effected by a driving rotary tool or a screwdriver, which is inserted into a polygonal opening 38 of the rotating element 22 through a tool channel 37 formed by a center piece 36 of the hinge bracket 8', the wall of which has an elongated opening (see Figure 9 ). By rotating the rotating element 22, the eccentrically positioned control pins 27 are pivoted, whereby the bearing pins 11' are displaced linearly in opposite directions (see Figures 10 to 12 ).
[0026] The functionality is as follows: Starting from the Figure 1 and 2In the release position shown, the free first end section 9' of the hinge bracket 8' and the free second end section 10 of the hinge bracket 8 are loosely brought into the functional position to be fixed in the bearing inserts 13' of the chamber 6' of the frame-side housing 3. In this position, the bearing pins 11' and the respective associated bearing bores 12' are aligned.
[0027] Figure 10 shows the bearing pins 11' in the release position in the bearing inserts 13' of the chamber 6' of the frame-side housing 3. In this position, the bearing pins 11' are completely displaced into the bearing recess 19. Starting from this position, the bearing pins 11' are partially displaced out of the bearing bushes 30 by turning the rotating element 22 clockwise by approximately 90° and are displaced into the bearing bores 12' in the bearing inserts 13' against the force of a spring element 44 (see Figure 11). Here, the control pins 27 enter the control slots 27 of one bearing pin 11' into the control slots of the other bearing pin 11'. As in Figure 11As shown, the end face of the bearing journal 11' acts against an insert 40 mounted in the bearing bore 12' against the force of the spring element 44. The insert 40 can be slidably guided in the bearing bore 12'. The insert 40 has a collar 45 projecting radially outward at its end, which lies in a section of the bearing bore 12' with an enlarged diameter. The collar 45 lies there on a step 41 formed thereby. This step 41 limits the position of the insert 40 in the bearing bore radially inward. This prevents the spring element 44, which is supported on the bottom 42 of a recess 43 formed by the insert 40, from falling out of the bearing bore 12'. The spring element 44 is supported with a first end on the bottom 42 of the insert 40 and with a second end on the underside of a sealing plug 46 which is inserted flush into the end face of the bearing bore 12'.The closure plug 46 has a slot into which a rotary drive tool can engage.
[0028] After a rotation of the rotary element 22 of approximately 180°, the bearing pins 11' reach the Figure 12 The functional position shown is that in which the bearing pins 11' have reached their maximum extension position. After overcoming a dead center position, the control pins 27 exit the control slots 26 into the rounded recesses 28, which are slightly offset from the control slots 26. This is accompanied by a tensioning of the spring element 44.
[0029] Disassembly is carried out in reverse order. Starting from the Figure 12In the functional position shown, in which the control pins 27 each lie in the rounded recess 28 of an end section 21 of a bearing pin 11', the rotating element 22 can be rotated counterclockwise using a rotary drive tool. Along with the rotation of the rotating element 22, the control pins 27 enter the control slots 26, which are slightly offset from the recesses 28. After overcoming a dead center position, the spring elements 44 press the two bearing pins 11' assigned to them towards each other. This displacement of the bearing pins 11' is supported by the rotation of the rotating element 22. Figure 11 shown intermediate position after a rotation of the rotary element 22 of approximately 90°, the bearing pins 11' reach the position shown in Figure 10shown release position. Here, the bearing pins 11' have completely emerged from the bearing bores 12' and are located in the bearing recess 19. In this position, the free first end section 9' of the hinge bracket 8' and the free second end section 10 of the hinge bracket 8 can be moved out of the chamber 6', thus allowing the door leaf to be removed.
[0030] In order to fasten the first housing 2 in a recess in the door leaf and the second housing 3 in a recess in the door frame, the housings 2, 3 each have two fastening flanges 4, 4' with bores 5 for screw fastening (see. Figure 1 , 3 , 8 , 13 and 13a ).
[0031] The bearing inserts 13 arranged in the chamber 6 of a housing, preferably the door-side housing 2, are arranged at a distance from the wall of the chamber 6 in a horizontally and vertically adjustable manner. The position of the bearing inserts 13 in the chamber 6 is fixed with a fixing screw 49, which passes through a threaded bore 51 of the bearing insert 13 on the rear side of the housing 2, and with a fixing element 48 (see Figures 13 and 13a ). The fixing element 48 is arranged vertically displaceably in a slot 62 formed on the rear side of the housing and is formed by a square nut. This fixing screw 49 must be loosened to adjust the bearing inserts 13.
[0032] As in the Figure 13 and Figure 13aAs shown, an adjusting eccentric 50 with an eccentric head 53 and an eccentric shaft 54 engages in one of the two fastening flanges 4 of the housing 2. The insert 13 is supported on the eccentric head 53. By rotating the adjusting eccentric 50, a precise vertical adjustment of the bearing insert 13 arranged below the adjusting eccentric 50 is possible. In addition, the bearing inserts 13 arranged in the housing 2 each have a filling element 47, which is supported in regions on both vertical inner walls 52 of the chamber 6. The filling element 47 is slidably inserted in a horizontal shaft of the insert 13. An adjusting eccentric 55 engages in the filling element 47 through a groove 58 formed in the bearing insert 13. The adjusting eccentric 55 has a pivotally mounted eccentric head 56 and an eccentric extension 57, wherein the adjusting eccentric 55 is fastened in the groove 58 with a retaining ring 59, for example a circlip.By turning the adjusting eccentric 55, the bearing insert 13 can be moved horizontally.
[0033] The bearing inserts 13' arranged in the frame-side housing 3 are not adjustable, but are merely fixed with a fixing screw 60 each, which partially passes through a bore 62 formed by an attachment of the bearing insert 13' and a threaded bore 51 in the rear of the housing 3 (see Figure 14 ). The fixing screw 60 has a right-hand and a left-hand thread, whereby the threads are self-locking.
