Description
[0001] Description
[0002] Wrapping device for bandaging an elongated bundle
[0003] The invention relates to a winding device for bandaging an elongated bundled material with a winding head, with a race rotatably mounted in the winding head, with an opening in the race for introducing the bundled material into the race and with a bearing of the race in the winding head.
[0004] Bundled goods, such as cable harnesses or wiring harnesses, consist of individual electrical cables or hose lines and are often used in motor vehicles, for example.
[0005] A winding device known from practice has several roller bearings for supporting the race. During rotation, the opening in the race passes over the roller bearings and generates knocking noises and vibrations. However, these vibrations are highly disruptive to the even wrapping of the bundled material and also lead to significant wear. Furthermore, axial forces on the race that occur during operation also lead to vibrations.
[0006] The invention is based on the problem of developing a winding device of the type mentioned at the beginning in such a way that it runs particularly smoothly and avoids vibrations.
[0007] This problem is solved according to the invention in that a running surface of the bearing of the race is arranged inclined to the axis of rotation of the race.
[0008] This design allows the bearing to support axial forces. During operation of the winding device, the support also leads to particularly smooth running of the race. Furthermore, the winding device is structurally particularly simple because axial forces acting on the race can be supported in all directions by appropriate alignment of the running surface. This prevents vibrations of the race during operation.
[0009] According to another advantageous development of the invention, the bearing is capable of supporting high axial forces if the bearing has a plurality of individual rollers and if the bearing axes of the rollers are arranged inclined to the axis of rotation of the race.
[0010] According to another advantageous development of the invention, axial play of the race in the winding head can be kept particularly low if the race has two running surfaces inclined in opposite directions to one another.
[0011] According to another advantageous development of the invention, the winding device is particularly compact if the rollers alternately rest on one or the other running surface and if the rollers are radially offset from one another.
[0012] According to another advantageous embodiment of the invention, it contributes to reducing the transverse forces introduced into the rollers if an outer circumferential surface of the rollers rolling on the running surfaces is conical. According to another advantageous embodiment of the invention, it contributes to further increasing smoothness of running if the rollers have a rubber-elastic coating and if the rubber-elastic coating rolls on the running surfaces. With this design, the outer circumferential surface of the rollers is created by the rubber-elastic coating.
[0013] According to another advantageous development of the invention, an imbalance of the raceway caused by the opening can be easily avoided if the raceway has a segment that can be releasably locked in the opening and if the segment can be moved from a position that releases the opening to a position that closes the opening.
[0014] According to another advantageous development of the invention, the movement of the segment is particularly simple if the winding head has a transfer unit for the segment and if the segment is held in the winding head in the position releasing the opening.
[0015] According to another advantageous development of the invention, the smooth running of the race is further enhanced if the segment has an outer contour with running surfaces that corresponds to the outer contour of the race. Due to this design, the segment forms part of the bearing of the race in the winding head.
[0016] According to another advantageous development of the invention, the running smoothness of the winding head is further increased if the race has a belt drive with a belt. The belt is preferably a toothed belt. According to another advantageous development of the invention, the introduction of forces pointing transversely to the axis of rotation of the race can be largely avoided if the belt drive acts on the race with a plurality of separate sections and if the sections are arranged symmetrically on the race at opposite points on the circumference. This design also makes it possible to avoid displacement of the race due to a change in the belt tension. In the simplest case, the belt drive has two opposite sections.
[0017] According to another advantageous development of the invention, sensors or electrical actuators arranged within the race can be easily contacted if the winding head has sliding contacts arranged on the race's slip rings for voltage or signal transmission. This design allows sensors or actuators to be arranged on the race and contacted via the sliding contacts and slip rings.
[0018] According to another advantageous development of the invention, the bundled goods can be bandaged over a long section if the raceway has a wrapping table for supporting the bundled goods and a band reel with the band and if the band has a motorized conveyor drive.
[0019] The invention allows for numerous embodiments. To further clarify its basic principle, one of them is shown in the drawing and is described below. This shows in
[0020] Fig. l shows a winding device for bandaging a bundled material in a perspective view, Fig. 2 shows an enlarged part of the winding device in the area of a bearing of a race,
[0021] Fig. 3 shows a partial area of a winding head of the winding device from Figure 1 with a released opening,
[0022] Fig. 4 the section from Figure 3 with the opening closed by a segment,
[0023] Fig. 5 shows a winding table arranged in the winding head of Figure 1,
[0024] Fig. 6 is a further partial view of the winding head from Figure 1.
[0025] Figure 1 shows a winding device for bandaging a bundled item (not shown), such as a cable harness or a wiring harness for a motor vehicle. The winding device has a winding head 1 with a winding table 2 arranged therein for supporting the bundled item. The winding device has a hood 3 with an output opening 4 for outputting the bandaged bundled item. The winding head 1 has a race 5 with a front opening 6 for introducing the bundled item. The front opening 6 of the race 5 can be closed by a segment 7. The race 5 is driven by an electric motor-driven belt drive 8 with a belt 9. A plurality of deflection rollers 10 guide the belt 9 of the belt drive 8 around two symmetrically opposite sections 11, 12 of the circumference of the race 5. The race 5 has an external toothing 13 which engages with the belt 9.A bearing 14 of the race 5 in the winding head 1 has a plurality of individual pairs of rollers 15, 16. Figure 2 shows a greatly enlarged view of one of the pairs of rollers 15, 16 of the bearing 14 of the race 5 in the winding head 1. The rollers 15, 16 of an individual pair have bearing axes 17, 18 inclined towards one another and are arranged slightly offset from one another. Outer circumferential surfaces of the rollers 15, 16 are conical and have a rubber-elastic coating 19, 20. Running surfaces 21, 22 of the race 5 provided for the rolling of the rollers 15, 16 are correspondingly inclined in opposite directions to one another. The opposing inclination supports axial forces of the race 5.
[0026] Figure 3 shows the front area of the winding head 1, which has the opening 6, with the race 5. The axis of rotation of the race 5 runs perpendicular to the plane of the drawing. To simplify the drawing, the winding table 2 from Figure 1 is not shown. In the position shown, the segment 7 is pivoted about a segment bearing 23 arranged in the race 5 into a position exposing the opening 6 and is held in this position by a transfer unit 24 with a pneumatic cylinder 25. In this position of the segment 7, the bundled material can be introduced into the winding head 1.
[0027] The transfer unit also has a locking hook 26 arranged in the race 5 for the segment 7 in a position closing the opening 6. This position is shown in Figure 4. In this position, the connection of the segment 7 to the pneumatic cylinder 25 is released and a lock is established in the race 5 by means of the locking hook 26 and the segment bearing 23. The outer circumference of the segment 7 has essentially the same outer contour as the external toothing 13 and the running surfaces 21, 22 of the race 5. When the race 5 is driven, the rollers 15, 16 roll continuously over the segment 7 and the belt 9 also drives the race 5 and the segment 7 continuously.
[0028] Figure 5 shows the wrapping table 2 from Figure 1 with adjacent areas of a clamping ring 5' screwed onto the running ring 5 from the opposite side. The wrapping table 2 has a longitudinal guide 27 in the clamping ring 5'. The wrapping table 2 can be moved along the longitudinal guide 27 parallel to the bundled material. Furthermore, the height of the wrapping table 2 can be adjusted via a height adjustment 28. Figure 5 also shows a band roll 29 mounted on the clamping ring 5' with the band 30 with which the bundled material is bandaged. The band 30 is guided by means of a conveyor drive 31 via a deflection roller 37 to a central recess 32 in the wrapping table 2. The deflection roller 37 is pre-tensioned by a spring element (not shown) and is mounted so that it can swing relative to the bundled material lying on the wrapping table 2. The conveyor drive 31 drives the belt 30 with a specified force and speed. A load cell 33 measures the tension of the belt 30.When the running ring 5 is driven, the wrapping table 2 and the band roller 29 rotate around the bundled material so that it is bandaged with the band 30.
[0029] Figure 6 shows a further partial view of the winding head 1 with the race 5. The race 5 is connected to a plurality of circumferential slip rings 34, while blocks 35 with individual sliding contacts 36 for each of the slip rings 34 are arranged on the winding head 1. In the illustrated embodiment, four blocks 35, each with five sliding contacts 36 for five slip rings 34, are shown, so that uninterrupted contact between the sliding contacts 36 and the slip rings 34 is ensured even when the segment 7 slides past. The sliding contacts 36 and the slip rings 34 enable voltage and signal transmission from the stationary winding head 1 to the unit consisting of the race 5 and winding table 2, which can rotate therein.
