Description

[0001] Pouring device

[0002] The invention relates to a pouring device comprising a spout that is connected to a container or at least connectable to a container and that has a pouring spout arranged around a spout axis, and that comprises a closure cap that is arranged around a cap axis, with which the pouring spout can be opened, preferably also reclosed, and that comprises at least one retaining strap that is integrally connected to the closure cap and with which the closure cap is fastened to the spout, in particular to the pouring spout of the spout. The invention also relates to a container with such a pouring device.

[0003] The spout axis is the axis along which the open channel of the pouring spout extends. The cap axis is the axis around which the closure cap is rotated to open the spout, starting from an originally closed position.

[0004] In a preferred embodiment in which the closure cap, in the closed state, partially covers the pouring spout, the cap axis is the axis around which the cap wall is arranged, which is closed at the upper end with a cap lid and open at the lower end. The open end and cap lid are thus spaced apart in the direction of the cap axis. It can preferably be provided that cooperating closure elements are arranged on the outer surface of the pouring spout and on the inner surface of the closure cap, by means of which the closure cap and the pouring spout can be detached from one another and preferably also reconnected to one another by rotating the closure cap about the axis of rotation / spout axis / cap axis running through the pouring spout.

[0005] The cooperating closure elements can be designed, for example, as a pair of internal and external threads (threaded closure) or as a pair of cams and guide slot or retaining projection (bayonet closure) or as a pair of closure elements with an interlocking effect upon rotation.

[0006] However, the invention is not limited to these embodiments of fastening a cap to the pouring spout and also includes embodiments in which the closure cap is removed from the pouring spout by breaking a connection to the latter.

[0007] The spout is preferably understood to mean a component that comprises at least the pouring spout and a transition area with which the connection to a container is established or at least can be established.

[0008] A spout according to the invention can thus, for example, be arranged on a bottle as a container, wherein the transition region is formed by the bottle neck or the upper region of the bottle neck. A spout according to the invention can also be arranged on a bag, in particular a film bag, as a container. In this case, the transition region to which the pouring spout is attached can be formed by a so-called weld-in part, in particular a boat-shaped weld-in part that can be welded between the opposing bag walls. Such a weld-in part preferably has two arms that are opposite one another at 180 degrees and that taper outwards, i.e. with increasing distance from the spout axis. In a state in which the weld-in part is welded between two films to form a container, the inner surfaces of the film are attached to the side surfaces of said arms.A surface of the weld-in part facing upwards, towards the spout, is directed towards the outside environment and is visible.

[0009] Directional information used in the following description refers to the aforementioned axes and an upright position of a container with such a pouring device. Thus, in the pouring device, the area of the spout or its pouring spout that is open for product removal from a container is located at the top, and the transition area with which the spout is connected to a container is located at the bottom of the spout. The axial direction is along the cap or spout axis, and the radial direction is perpendicular to it. The circumferential direction runs at any radial distance around the respective axis.

[0010] When the spout is closed, the cap axis and the spout axis are parallel, in particular collinear, to each other. In this state, the cap axis and the spout axis also correspond to the rotation axis around which the closure cap can be rotated to open the spout, and preferably also to close it again.

[0011] The fastening of the closure cap by means of at least one retaining strap ensures that the closure cap remains attached to the spout or container after it has been opened and thus does not get lost and pollute the environment. Such a retaining strap can be attached directly to the spout, e.g. in one piece, or indirectly via another element, e.g. a retaining ring that surrounds the pouring spout. Pouring devices of this type are generally known in the prior art, e.g. from the publication EP 3 929 102 A1. The problem here is that a closure cap on the container can essentially move freely on the at least one retaining strap after it has been opened and can therefore get in the way when the product is being removed from the container, e.g. a person's face may be touched by the closure cap or the at least one retaining strap when drinking or it may get in the path of the product when the product is being poured out of the container. In particular, the one-piece connection of the retaining band to the closure cap leads, after opening, to a deformation at the connection point between the closure cap and the retaining band, possibly between the connection point of the retaining band and the spout or an indirectly interposed element, whereby forces are generated in the material of the retaining band, in particular at the connection point, which restoring forces tend to move the closure cap with the retaining band into an unfavorable, in particular disturbing, position.

[0012] Against this background, it is an object of the invention to further develop a pouring device of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that the closure cap is stabilized after opening, in particular can be brought into a position and held in that position, so that the closure cap and also the at least one retaining strap can no longer have a disruptive effect when taking the product, in particular when drinking from a container with such a pouring device.

[0013] This object is achieved in that at least one retaining element is arranged on the spout, with which the at least one retaining band is retained, in particular the at least one retaining element is retained in an axial position predetermined by the retaining element. "Retainable" does not mean that the retaining band is fastened to the retaining element, although this can also be provided, but at least that the retaining band assumes a stable position during normal use, which prevents the retaining band or the closure cap from assuming a disruptive position during use.

[0014] One possible preferred embodiment may provide for only a single retaining strap to be provided on the pouring device. Another preferred embodiment may provide for the pouring device to have exactly two retaining straps.

[0015] It is particularly advantageous if the holding of the retaining strap in or on the retaining element is effected by a force which is exerted on the retaining element by the retaining strap itself, in particular by the force mentioned at the outset, which tends to move the retaining strap against the deformation of the retaining strap which occurs during opening, in particular at the at least one connection point.

[0016] In an advantageous further development, it can be provided that the at least one holding element is fastened to the spout in the axial direction of the nozzle axis below the position in which the at least one holding band is fastened to the spout.

[0017] This is particularly advantageous because, when attached over the retaining element, the retaining strap exerts an axially upward force on the retaining element, which helps to hold the retaining strap in / on the retaining element. Preferably, it can also be provided that at least two, preferably exactly two, retaining elements are arranged on the spout.

[0018] These can, for example, be arranged around the nozzle axis, preferably opposite one another, and thus in particular have an angular spacing of 180 degrees in the circumferential direction around the nozzle axis. In general, several retaining elements can have an equidistant angular spacing in the circumferential direction.

[0019] A design with two or more retaining elements is advantageous, for example, when two or more retaining straps are formed on the spout, since a user can then choose which of the retaining straps they want to hold with one of the retaining elements. It can be provided that each of the multiple retaining straps is assigned one of the multiple retaining elements, in particular by having the retaining element in a position on the spout that is advantageous for the respective retaining strap.

[0020] The holding elements can, for example, be spaced apart in a direction which corresponds to the direction of the spacing of the arm ends of a weld-in part with which the spout can be fastened between two film layers of a bag.

[0021] A position of a holding element that is advantageous for use is preferably achieved when, viewed in the circumferential direction around the spout axis, the holding element is spaced from the position in which the at least one holding band is fastened to the spout by 50 to 130 degrees, preferably 75 to 105 degrees, preferably 85 to 95 degrees, in particular 90 degrees. This achieves, on the one hand, sufficient proximity between the holding element and the holding band to easily arrange the holding band in a holding manner on the holding element and, on the other hand, a sufficiently large distance between the holding element and the fastening point of the holding band directly or indirectly on the spout that the leverage effect is large enough to sufficiently stabilize the closure cap fastened to the holding band.

[0022] A preferred design provides for the respective holding element to be designed as a holding arm that extends from a connection point on the spout (directly or indirectly) toward a free end, under which the holding band can be placed or pushed. The holding arm can preferably extend in a straight line in the axial direction of the nozzle axis. In particular, it is provided that the holding arm is tapered toward its free end, preferably tapering continuously from its connection point on the spout to its free end.

[0023] The holding arm itself does not necessarily have to extend exactly in a plane perpendicular to the nozzle axis, although this can be provided.

[0024] Preferably, however, the support arm at least crosses such a plane. It thus has an extension that may have an axial directional component.

[0025] Viewed axially, the retaining arm thus covers a holding area into which the retaining strap can be accommodated. The holding area is thus located axially beneath the retaining arm.

[0026] Preferably, viewed in the same plan direction, the holding arm is formed symmetrically about a central axis, wherein the central axis corresponds to the direction of extension.

[0027] Viewed in the direction of the nozzle axis, i.e. in axial projection or plan view, the holding arm can further extend from the connection point on the spout to its free end in basically any direction, wherein preferably the holding arm, or its central axis, extends essentially in a direction perpendicular to the nozzle axis.

[0028] Preferably, the holding arm, in particular each holding arm, particularly viewed in the axial direction of the spout axis, extends substantially radially to the spout axis or perpendicular to a radial line crossing the spout axis, in particular wherein the connection point of the holding arm on the spout has a distance from the spout axis that is greater than or equal to the radial distance of the position in which the at least one holding band is fastened to the spout. With the aforementioned radial extension, the holding arm with its connection point on the spout can also be further away from the spout axis than with its free end, so that the holding arm covers a holding area that is open in the direction of the spout axis. In contrast, with a radial extension, the opposite orientation of the holding arm is preferred, so that the holding area covered by the holding arm is accessible from the radial outside.

[0029] It is preferably provided that the respective holding arm is located in the axial direction opposite a boundary surface on the spout, which boundary surface limits the holding area into which the holding band can be inserted in the axial direction, in particular downwards.

[0030] As a result, the holding area is enclosed axially between the holding arm and the boundary surface, so that an inserted holding strap cannot move out of the held position either axially upwards or axially downwards.

[0031] Such a boundary surface can be formed, for example, by the surface of a transition area of the spout facing the pouring spout, with which the spout merges into a container. The transition area can be designed, for example, as a welded part with which the spout can be secured between two film layers of a bag, or as a bottle neck.

[0032] It can also be provided that the boundary surface is formed by a further holding arm located opposite the holding arm in the axial direction of the nozzle axis, wherein the holding band can be inserted between the holding arms. These holding arms can preferably function like cooperating clamping jaws. The axially opposite holding arms can preferably be mirror-symmetrical about a plane perpendicular to the nozzle axis.

[0033] A further preferred development can provide that the holding arm, in particular each holding arm, is attached to the spout in a resiliently flexible manner, in particular in a flexible manner in the axial direction of the nozzle axis. Thus, when the holding band is inserted into the holding area, the holding arm can yield upon contact with the holding arm and enlarge the insertion area, especially if this area is axially limited.

[0034] For example, in such a configuration of the axial limitation of the holding area, it can be provided that the entry opening into the holding area, which is formed between the holding arm and a boundary surface, is smaller in the axial direction than the thickness of the holding strap. In particular, the entry opening must therefore retract due to the retraction of a holding arm upon insertion of the holding strap. In such a design, the holding strap can then also be held in a clamped manner, i.e., fastened.

[0035] A preferred structural design provides that the at least one holding element, in particular the at least one holding arm, is arranged on an annular projection surrounding the pouring spout.

[0036] In this case, the holding element or a holding arm can preferably extend radially outwards from the outer diameter of the annular projection.

[0037] The annular projection is further preferably formed by a stop ring which is arranged under a retaining ring to which the closure cap is fastened with the at least one retaining band.

[0038] Alternatively, it can also be provided that the holding element or a holding arm is arranged on the surface of a weld-in part facing the pouring spout, with which the pourer can be fastened between two film layers of a bag.

[0039] In all possible embodiments, a preferred further development can provide that the holding element forms a groove that is open in the axial direction of the nozzle axis, in particular a groove that is open downwards, preferably therefore a groove that is open in the direction of a container, into which the holding strap can be inserted, in particular wherein the groove extends in a direction perpendicular to the nozzle axis. The groove ensures that the holding strap is held even more securely, even if a holding force is only applied internally by the holding strap and there is no clamping effect. In this case, inclined upwards preferably means starting from the groove in an upward direction, thus pointing away from a transition area or the container.

[0040] It is preferably provided that the free end of the holding element comprises or forms a guide surface which is inclined relative to a plane perpendicular to the nozzle axis, in particular inclined upwards, preferably at an angle of 10 degrees to 45 degrees to the plane, preferably wherein the guide surface merges into the groove.

[0041] The groove is preferably formed in that the holding arm has a concave holding surface, in particular with respect to the nozzle axis in the axially downward direction, which forms the inner surface of the groove.

[0042] Preferably, the same holding arm may have a convex surface in the axially upward direction with respect to the nozzle axis.

[0043] A concave holding surface is preferably understood to mean that the lower surface of the holding arm has a concave curvature in the cross-section of a sectional plane, i.e. in which the lower surface is curved upwards in the axial direction in a central region between side regions, in particular wherein this cross-section is at least substantially constant in the direction of the normal vector of this plane. A convex surface is preferably understood to mean that the surface of the holding arm has a convex curvature in the cross-section of a sectional plane, i.e. in which the surface is curved upwards in the axial direction in a central region between side regions, in particular wherein this cross-section is at least substantially constant in the direction of the normal vector of this plane. The said cutting plane is preferably the plane in or parallel to which the nozzle axis runs, in particular the plane which is simultaneously parallel to the (axially projected) direction vector of the extension of the support arm. In particular, this plane is thus a vertical plane, preferably one which runs through the (axially projected) central longitudinal axis of the support arm.

[0044] For example, this allows the support arm to have the same thickness throughout, at least in the area of the groove. Preferably, the support arm can have the same thickness throughout from the connection point to the free end. Preferably, the thickness is measured in the direction of the normal vector on the surface or undersurface of the support arm. With axially opposite support arms, both support arms can implement these features in mirror symmetry.

[0045] In general, the invention can provide that the at least one retaining band formed integrally with the closure cap is fastened directly or indirectly to the spout somewhere with the end pointing away from the closure cap.

[0046] In all of the aforementioned embodiments, it can preferably be provided that the closure cap is part of a cap assembly comprising the closure cap, a retaining ring, and at least one retaining band. One end of the at least one retaining band is formed integrally with the closure cap and the other end is formed integrally with the retaining ring. The retaining ring is secured on the spout to prevent it from being pulled off in the axial direction of the nozzle axis. The retaining ring thus forms an element with which the respective retaining band is indirectly attached to the spout.

[0047] In this case, cooperating locking means are preferably arranged on the retaining ring and on the spout, in particular on the pouring spout, by means of which locking means the retaining ring is fastened to the spout, in particular on the pouring spout, in particular after initial assembly, and in particular remains fastened when the closure cap is opened, wherein the locking means on the spout is designed as a locking ring surrounding the spout, in particular the pouring spout, and projecting radially outwards from the outer surface of the pouring spout, and the locking ring is engaged behind in a locking manner by the retaining ring, in particular by at least one locking projection on the retaining ring, in particular viewed in the direction of attachment of the closure cap.

[0048] Preferably, at least one locking projection extending in the circumferential direction and projecting radially inward from the inner surface of the retaining ring is arranged as a locking means on its inner surface. The free inner cross-section between several locking projections is preferably smaller than the outer diameter of the locking ring on the spout.

[0049] The locking ring is preferably arranged at a distance axially above the aforementioned stop ring.

[0050] Preferably, it is further provided that, in the originally closed state of the cap assembly, the at least one retaining band, in particular each retaining band, is arranged in the axial direction between the closure cap and the retaining ring, and extends in the circumferential direction around the cap axis. Further preferably, the outer surface of the retaining ring is arranged flush with the outer surface of the respective retaining band.

[0051] Furthermore, it can be provided that a respective retaining band has a plurality of breakable bridges, in particular axially extending breakable bridges, between a connection point on the retaining ring and a connection point on the closure cap, by means of which the retaining band is fastened to the retaining ring and / or the closure cap in the closed, original state. A respective breakable bridge can preferably be designed to taper in the axial direction, preferably in a direction from the retaining band to the retaining ring and / or to the closure cap, in particular with a constant thickness in the radial direction. When forming the cap arrangement with a single retaining band, in particular also with two or more retaining bands, it is preferably provided that one end of the retaining band is connected to the closure cap in the circumferential direction with respect to the cap axis and the other end of the retaining band is connected to the retaining ring in the axial direction with respect to the cap axis.

[0052] Various embodiments of the invention are illustrated in the figures and are described below.

[0053] Figure 1 shows a first basic embodiment of a pouring device with a closure cap 1, which can interact, for example, with the spout 2 of Figures 2, 3, 8, 9 and 10 or with any other spout to form the pouring device according to the invention.

[0054] The closure cap 1 has a cap wall 1a that extends circumferentially around the cap axis 3 and is closed at the top by a cap lid 1b. At the bottom, the closure cap 1 has an open end 1c and can thus be placed onto a pouring spout 4 of the spout 2, which, according to Figures 2 and 8, extends around the spout axis 5. The spout axis 5 and the cap axis 3 are clearly collinear in the closed state.

[0055] A retaining band 1d is integrally connected to the closure cap 1, which in this embodiment is attached to the lower open end 1c of the closure cap 1. However, in principle, any other desired connection positions for the retaining band 1d can also be provided. The retaining band 1d can be attached to any other position on the spout or on the container. More than the one shown retaining band 1d can also be provided, as shown, for example, in Figures 6, 7, and 11.

[0056] The embodiment of Figure 1, for example, further shows that the closure cap 1 is part of a cap assembly which, in addition to the closure cap 1 and the at least one retaining band 1d, also comprises a retaining ring 1e. In Figures 2 and 8, for example, closure elements 6a are arranged on the outside of the pouring spout 4, which interact with corresponding closure elements 6b of the closure cap 1, which are not shown in Figure 1 but can be seen, for example, in Figure 6.

[0057] As a feature essential to the invention, the spout has holding elements 7, which are designed in the form of a respective holding arm 7 and which can be seen in all figures except figure 7. After opening the spout 2 by removing the closure cap 1, the retaining band 1d thus released can be guided under the holding arm 7 and is thus held in such an axial position that the retaining band 1d and also the closure cap 1 can no longer assume a disturbing position.

[0058] In all versions shown in the figures, the holding arms 7 are designed such that they are connected to the spout on one side of the arm and have a free end on the other side. Between the connection point and the free end, the holding arms extend in a straight line when viewed from above, i.e. in axial projection along the nozzle axis 5, and taper to the free end. This can be seen particularly well in the axial view figures 3, 5, 6, 9 and 11. In all figures except figure 10, the course of the extension of the respective holding arm 7 is radial to the nozzle axis 5 in the axial view. In figure 10, however, the course of the extension is in a direction perpendicular to a radius line of the nozzle axis 5, wherein the radius line also corresponds to the direction of the spacing of the pointed free ends of the weld-in part 11a.Furthermore, in all figures, holding arms 7 are arranged on opposite sides around the nozzle axis 5; in particular, the holding arms 7 have an angular distance of 180 degrees from one another, viewed in the circumferential direction around the nozzle axis 5.

[0059] In the design of the pourer according to Figures 1 to 6 and 12 to 19, the holding arms 7 are connected to a stop ring 8 and extend radially outward from its outer diameter. The stop ring 8 serves, for example, to limit the movement of the cap assembly according to Figure 1 when the cap assembly is axially pushed onto the pouring spout 4. The stop ring 8 can also serve as a support ring, for example, to transport containers such as bottles and bags in filling systems.

[0060] Furthermore, all figures show that the spout 2 has a locking ring 9 axially spaced above the stop ring 8, which serves to hold the retaining ring 1e of the cap assembly axially beneath it, e.g., in a locking manner. For this purpose, locking projections 1f can be arranged on the radially inner circumferential surface of the retaining ring 1e, which engage axially behind the locking ring 9. As a result, the retaining ring 1e of the cap assembly is fastened to the spout 2 and thus indirectly also the closure cap 1 fastened thereto by at least one retaining strap 1d. The locking projections 1f are symbolically arranged on the inside of the circumferential surface of the retaining ring 1e, for example, in Figure 7, which shows the cap assembly with two retaining straps 1d detached from the spout 2. The locking projections 1f can, for example, be designed like the projection 6b on the inner circumferential surface of the closure cap 1 according to Figure 6.

[0061] Figures 1, 2, 4, 8, 13, 16 and 19 in particular illustrate that, with respect to the axial direction of the nozzle axis 5, the holding arms 7 adjacent to the connection point on the spout 2 have a lower surface which is concave towards the bottom. This forms a groove 7a on the underside which is open towards the bottom and extends across the width of the holding arm 7 at least substantially perpendicular to the nozzle axis 5, in particular either extends in the circumferential direction around the nozzle axis 5 or extends perpendicular to a radial line to the nozzle axis 5 or, in the embodiment according to Figure 9, extends in the radial direction. At the same time, the holding arm 7 is convex towards the top in the axial direction and preferably has the same thickness everywhere along its extent.

[0062] The retaining strap 1d can be accommodated in this groove 7a, ensuring its secure hold. At the free end, each retaining arm has a guide surface 7b that faces upward and facilitates the insertion of the retaining strap 1d into the holding area located beneath the retaining arm 7.

[0063] All Figures 1 to 14 and 19 show embodiments in which a boundary surface 10 is axially opposite the holding arm 7, in particular located below the holding arm 7. Between the boundary surface 10 and the holding element 7, the holding area is defined, into which the holding strap 1d can be received.

[0064] In Figures 1 to 11, this boundary surface 10 is formed by the surface of the welded part 11a, which serves as the transition area 11 of the pouring spout 4 to a bag 12a as a container 12 and with which the pouring spout 2 can be secured between two film layers of the bag 12a, for example, by welding. Such a bag 12a is indicated in Figure 2 by the dashed lines.

[0065] In Figures 12 to 14, the container 12 is designed as a bottle 12b, with the bottle neck 11b forming the transition region 11. Here, the bottle neck 11b is formed by a bulge such that it forms a boundary surface 10 located axially below the holding arm 7.

[0066] In Figure 19, the boundary surface 10 is formed by a second holding arm 7, which is arranged axially below the first holding arm 7. These two holding arms 7 / 10 are mirror-symmetrical about a plane perpendicular to the nozzle axis 5, which runs through the holding area.

[0067] In Figures 1 to 6 and 12 to 19, the holding arms 7 are attached to the stop ring 8. In Figures 8 to 11, the holding arms are attached to the surface of the weld-in part 11a.

[0068] Figures 4, 5, 14 and 17 show examples of a closure cap 1 which is fastened with a single retaining band 1d, whereas, for example, Figures 6, 11 and 18 show embodiments in which the closure cap is fastened with two retaining bands 1d to the spout 2 or the retaining ring 1e.

[0069] Figures 5 and 6 further illustrate that an angular distance a exists in the circumferential direction around the nozzle axis 5 between a connection point of the retaining band 1d on the retaining ring and a retaining arm 7, which can be used for holding. This distance is at least substantially 90 degrees in Figure 6, but approximately 80 degrees in Figure 5. The angular distance a is preferably at least in the range of 50 to 130 degrees.

[0070] Figures 15 to 18, using a bottle 12b as the example of a container 12, show designs in which no boundary surface is arranged below the holding arm 7 forming the holding element. The holding area is thus not axially limited downwards. Nevertheless, the holding band 1d is securely held in the groove 7a, since the holding band is pressed into the groove 7a from below by a restoring force inherent in the material of the holding band 1d. This restoring force arises, for example, from the bending stress on the holding band 1d at the connection point to the retaining ring 1e when the spout 2 is opened by removing the closure cap 1.
