Description

[0001] The invention relates to a jumping device.

[0002] Such jumping devices can generally be used as sports or leisure equipment, both indoors and outdoors.

[0003] The function of such a jumping device is that it has a jumping surface on which a user can perform jumps. For this purpose, the jumping surface has elastic properties.

[0004] Such a jumping device can be designed in the form of a trampoline. Such a trampoline typically has a frame construction with a frame and foot sections. The foot sections are used to position the trampoline on a base such as a floor. A jumping mat, on which a user can perform jumps, is mounted within the frame by means of springs. The jumping mat itself has no elastic properties. However, the springs form elastic elements that provide an elastically deformable jumping surface.

[0005] The object of the invention is to provide a jumping device which has a high level of functionality while having a simple, compact design.

[0006] To achieve this object, the features of claim 1 are provided. Advantageous embodiments and expedient further developments are described in the dependent claims.

[0007] The invention relates to a jumping device comprising a polygonal frame defining a jumping surface, the underside of which is mounted on a base. It comprises bow-shaped, elastically deformable rods, each rod being mounted on the frame with a first longitudinal end extending toward the center of the jumping surface. The second longitudinal end of the rod is free-standing. The rods mounted on the frame form a convex jumping surface that protrudes above the top of the frame and is covered by a cover.

[0008] In the jumping device according to the invention, the elastically deformable bars form a jumping surface which has a springy effect so that a person can perform jumps on the jumping device.

[0009] An essential aspect of the invention is that the bars are mounted on the frame only on one side, i.e. one longitudinal end of each bar is mounted on the frame in such a way that the bar runs towards the middle of the jumping device, i.e. the jumping surface, where its second end ends freely.

[0010] The bars are bow-shaped, meaning they have a longitudinal curvature. The bars are mounted on the frame in such a way that they form a convex spring surface that protrudes above the top of the frame.

[0011] The frame is adapted to the design of the rods by being polygonal. The frame has more than four sides. The sides are advantageously of identical design, so that the frame forms a rotationally symmetrical arrangement with respect to its central axis. Particularly advantageous is the hexagonal design, thus having six advantageously identical sides.

[0012] This polygonal frame structure makes it possible to mount the bars on the frame at equal distances from each other along the circumference, with the bars advantageously being identical in design. It is essential that the bars are spaced closely together, and these distances are designed so that the foot of a person using the jumping device, especially a child, cannot become wedged or even slip through the space between two bars.

[0013] Furthermore, the bars run close to the middle of the jumping surface so that their long ends are close together, so that there is no danger of a foot of a person using the jumping device becoming stuck or slipping through.

[0014] The elastically deformable rods can, in principle, be made of spring steel or carbon fiber. Elastically deformable rods made of fiberglass are particularly advantageous.

[0015] The rods formed in this way have good elastic properties.

[0016] The rods are particularly advantageous if they are made of flat materials.

[0017] The wide sides of the flat materials form the jumping surface. This creates a large-area arrangement of bars with small gaps between them, resulting in a jumping surface with good spring properties.

[0018] The jumping device according to the invention has a cover which completely covers the jumping surface formed by the bars.

[0019] The cover extends over the entire jumping surface, i.e., the entire arrangement of fiberglass rods. The cover provides protection so that a person performing jumps on the jumping device does not come into direct contact with the rods or step into the gaps between them. The cover thus increases the safety of the jumping device.

[0020] Advantageously, the cover is designed in the form of a non-elastic, flexible cloth or casting.

[0021] The cloth, or rather the cover itself, does not exhibit any elastic spring properties, so the bounce of the jumping equipment is determined solely by the elastic rods. However, the cover is made of a flexible, pliable material, allowing it to fit tightly against the tops of the rods. The cover is mounted on the frame along its entire circumference. The same applies to a cast cover made of a malleable and therefore flexible plastic.

[0022] The cover, designed as a cloth, can be made of fabric or in the form of a film, with the film advantageously having ventilation openings. This allows for air exchange and thus pressure equalization between the interior of the jumping device and the exterior, which is essential for the springy properties of the jumping surface. The same applies to a cover in the form of a cast part.

[0023] The cover is preferably made of a plastic, especially PUR (polyurethane). This material is weather-resistant and can also be colored. Such a cover can also be coated with additives that specify specific properties. In particular, this can make the cover non-slip, thus increasing safety when using the jumping device.

[0024] In general, the cover as well as the entire jumping device is vandal-proof because it has a robust and durable construction.

[0025] The jumping device is advantageously made exclusively of weather-resistant components, so that it can be used both indoors and outdoors.

[0026] The jumping device forms a compact unit that is quick and easy to install. Essentially, all that needs to be done is attaching the frame to or on a surface.

[0027] A particular advantage is that the frame can be installed on different surfaces, i.e., floors with varying soil conditions. The frame can, for example, be anchored to a floor or secured to a loose subsurface by encasing anchors in concrete.

[0028] According to an advantageous embodiment, each bar is spring-mounted on the frame.

[0029] This further improves the jumping characteristics of the jumping device. The spring mounts ensure increased elastic rebound of the bars when a person performs jumps on the jumping device. In particular, this allows for higher jumps. To achieve a uniform elastic rebound across the jumping surface, all bars are spring-mounted on the frame in the same way.

[0030] The rods are generally mounted on the frame with spring elements, whereby the spring elements are particularly advantageously designed as torsion springs.

[0031] It is particularly advantageous that each bar is mounted on the frame with a selectable number of spring elements.

[0032] On the edge closest to the frame, each rod has several receptacles, each of which can accommodate a spring element. The number of spring elements in the rod is then specified depending on the application. It has proven advantageous to mount between two and four spring elements on the rod.

[0033] By varying the number of spring elements per bar, the firmness of the jumping surface can be varied. The greater the number of spring elements per bar, the harder the jumping device's bounce.

[0034] As a result, the jumping device according to the invention can be designed for different weight classes of the people using the jumping device.

[0035] According to an advantageous embodiment, the free longitudinal ends of the rods are connected by a connecting element.

[0036] For example, the connecting element can be a rope, a wire rope or a ring.

[0037] The connecting element ensures that a mechanical load acting on one or just a few bars is distributed among the other bars. When a person jumps onto the jumping surface, this point-acting load is distributed across all bars, causing the other bars to bend under this load, thus resulting in a uniform rebound behavior across all bars.

[0038] The jumping device according to the invention advantageously has a low overall height, allowing the jumping device to be placed on a surface such as the floor. Due to the limited overall height of the jumping device, there is no risk of the bars breaking even when a heavy person performs jumps on the jumping device, as the free ends of the bars then come into contact with the surface.

[0039] Particularly advantageous is the fact that a shock-absorbing element protrudes from the underside of the long end of each bar.

[0040] These absorb shock loads when a heavy person performs jumps on the jumping device, so that the free ends of the bars are guided against the base. This eliminates the need for the base itself to have shock-absorbing properties. This allows the jumping device to be set up on almost any surface.

[0041] Advantageously, the shock-absorbing elements form receptacles for the connecting element.

[0042] This results in a particularly compact structure with few individual parts, as no separate components need to be provided on the bars for fastening the connecting elements.

[0043] According to a structurally advantageous embodiment, the frame comprises an upper frame and a lower frame. The rods are mounted on the lower frame, and the cover is mounted on the upper frame.

[0044] The upper frame must be reversibly and detachably fixed to the lower frame.

[0045] Advantageously, the upper frame and lower frame are connected to each other by screw connections.

[0046] The jumping device designed in this way has a modular structure that allows for easy assembly of the jumping device.

[0047] The rods can be attached to the lower frame in a single assembly step. The cover is mounted separately on the upper frame. The upper frame can then be secured to the lower frame, particularly using screw connections.

[0048] Particularly advantageous is the cover being attached to the upper frame by means of a clamp connection. The clamp connection is arranged circumferentially around the upper frame.

[0049] The clamping connection, which extends across the entire circumference of the upper frame, ensures stable support of the cover with uniform tension, ensuring that the cover rests evenly on the top surfaces of the bars across the entire spring surface. Particularly advantageous is the clamping connection formed by a groove into which edge segments of the cover can be inserted and secured with screws.

[0050] The clamp connection thus formed ensures a stable hold of the cover and can be easily installed and removed again.

[0051] According to an advantageous development of the invention, a multiple arrangement of jumping devices is provided, which can be used by users, in particular, to perform different exercises. Adjacent jumping devices are advantageously connected to one another, in particular by screw connections.

[0052] The invention is explained below with reference to the drawings. They show: Figure 1: Embodiment of the jumping device according to the invention. Figure 2: Exploded view of components of the jumping device according to Figure 1 Figure 3: Detail view of the subframe of the jumping device according to Figure 1 with spring-loaded rods. Figure 4: Enlarged detailed view of the arrangement according to Figure 2 Figure 5: Representation of a section of the upper frame of the jumping device according to the Figures 1 and 2 with the cover stored there.

[0053] The Figures 1 and 2 show an embodiment of the jumping device 1 according to the invention.

[0054] The jumping device 1 has a polygonal frame 2, in this case a hexagonal frame, with which the jumping device 1 can be placed on a base, in particular a floor. The underside of the frame 2 can be attached to the base.

[0055] The six sides of the frame 2 are all the same size, so that the frame 2 and thus the jumping device 1 forms a rotationally symmetrical arrangement with respect to its central axis.

[0056] As from Figure 1 As can be seen, the frame 2 of the jumping device 1 is divided into an upper frame 3 and a lower frame 4.

[0057] Elastically deformable rods 5 are spring-mounted on the lower frame 4, forming the jumping surface of the jumping device 1. A cover 6 is mounted on the upper frame 3, covering the jumping surface formed by the rods 5.

[0058] In principle, the rods 5 can be made of carbon or comparable materials. In this case, the rods 5 are made of fiberglass.

[0059] The upper frame 3 and lower frame 4 are made of metallic materials.

[0060] How Figure 2 as well as the individual representations of subframe 4 Figures 3 and 4As shown, the rods 5 are each spring-mounted in an identical manner with one longitudinal end on the subframe 4. To form the spring mounts, the longitudinal end of each rod 5 is spring-mounted on the frame 2 with spring elements in the form of torsion springs 7. The selection of torsion springs 7 with which a rod 5 is mounted on the subframe 4 can be varied depending on the application. It is particularly advantageous to provide two to four torsion springs 7 to form a spring mount. The greater the number of torsion springs 7, the harder the bounce behavior of the jumping surface.

[0061] The rods 5 are formed as flat materials, with the rods 5 being bow-shaped, i.e., the rods 5 are curved in their longitudinal direction. The rods 5 taper toward their free ends, so that the distances between two rods 5 remain approximately constant in their longitudinal direction.

[0062] The rods 5 are mounted on the subframe 4 at regular intervals along the circumference of the subframe. The free longitudinal ends of the rods 5 extend toward the center of the jumping device 1. The free ends of the rods 5 are located a short distance from one another and are connected via a connecting element 8, which in this case is formed by a metal ring. Alternatively, the connecting element 8 can also be a rope or wire rope. The connecting element 8 distributes mechanical loads acting on a rod 5 to the other rods 5.

[0063] On the undersides of the longitudinal ends of the bars 5, there is a shock-absorbing element 9, formed by a rubber buffer or the like. The shock-absorbing elements 9 absorb shocks when the free ends of the bars 5 are bent so sharply during jumps on the jumping device 1 that they are guided against the base. The shock-absorbing elements 9 also serve as a receptacle for the connecting element 8.

[0064] The bars 5 mounted on the lower frame 4 form a convex spring surface that projects upwards above the frame 2.

[0065] The cover 6 fits tightly against the jumping surface and completely covers it. In this case, the cover 6 consists of a soft and flexible cast part. Thus, the elastically deformable rods 5 alone define the jumping behavior of the jumping device 1. Alternatively, the cover 6 can be formed from a cloth.

[0066] As the Figures 2 and 5 show, the upper frame 3 has a circumferentially extending groove 10, the open side of which lies on the upper side of the upper frame 3.

[0067] To fix the cover 6 to the upper frame 3, edge segments of the cover 6 are inserted into the groove 10 of the upper frame 3 and then fixed with screws 11.

[0068] The cover 6 has recesses in the form of holes 12. The holes 12 form ventilation openings that ensure pressure equalization between the interior of the jumping device 1 and the exterior when performing jumps on the jumping device 1. The holes 12 are so small that there is no risk of injury to a person performing jumps on the jumping device 1.

[0069] The upper frame 3 can be reversibly and detachably fastened to the lower frame 4. For this purpose, fastening screws 13 are provided, which are inserted through holes 12 in the cover 6 in the direction of the frame 2 and then screwed into bores 14 in the upper frame 3 and into threaded holes 15 in the lower frame 4 (as indicated by arrow I in Figure 2 illustrated).
