Abstract
Description
[0001] Pane arrangement with explosion-resistant safety glass
[0002] The invention lies in the field of window technology and relates to a window arrangement with an explosion-resistant safety window and a method for its production.
[0003] Explosions generate strong pressure and suction waves that conventional glass panels generally cannot withstand. To provide adequate protection against explosions, explosion-resistant safety glass panels are used. These panels are thick enough to withstand the high forces acting on the glass.
[0004] Thick laminated glass panes are often used as explosion-resistant safety panes. These panes consist of three or more individual panes firmly bonded together by thermoplastic interlayers. Also known is the use of insulating glass panes in which two or more flat glass panes are bonded together in a plane-parallel manner, with spacers forming a gap between adjacent flat glass panes, as is known, for example, from the publications DE 302524241 A1, DE 2901951 A1, and DE 202005016189 U1. Furthermore, the publication EP 2110238 A1 discloses an explosion-resistant safety pane consisting of three laminated glass panes bonded together by spacers.
[0005] In practical applications, explosion-resistant safety panels are particularly used that are only supported on one side (at the bottom), for example to create an explosion-resistant wall. In the event of an explosion, there is a risk that the safety panels will tilt, resulting in very strong bending or shearing forces acting on the bearings of the safety panels. This can subsequently lead to the bearings buckling or the safety panels even being torn from their bearings. This is very disadvantageous, as the safety panels themselves can cause personal injury or property damage and can also cause considerable damage to the explosion-resistant wall and its bearings. On the other hand, the safety panels are no longer ready for use in the event of a subsequent explosion and the associated pressure and suction waves, thus compromising safety against further explosions.
[0006] To avoid this, the bearings of single-sided, explosion-resistant safety glass panels must be dimensioned to be sufficiently stable, which, of course, results in significantly increased weight and correspondingly higher costs. The present invention is therefore based on the object of avoiding the aforementioned disadvantages and enabling reliable and secure single-sided mounting (anchoring) of an explosion-resistant safety glass panel without requiring particularly strong dimensions. The mounting of the safety glass panel should be simple and cost-effective to manufacture in industrial series production.
[0007] These and other objects are achieved according to the invention by a pane arrangement with an explosion-resistant safety pane according to claim 1. Advantageous embodiments of the invention emerge from the subclaims.
[0008] The invention shows a pane arrangement comprising an explosion-resistant safety pane. The safety pane is typically flat or planar, so that a pane plane is defined by the pane. The safety pane is therefore a planar body whose planar extent is much greater than its dimension perpendicular or transverse to the planar extent. The safety pane is thus flat. The safety pane has two mutually opposite (outermost) pane surfaces, which delimit the safety pane on two sides. These are the two pane sides. The planar extent of the safety pane results from these two pane surfaces. The two pane surfaces are preferably parallel.
[0009] The safety glass body also has a front edge surface that connects the two glass surfaces. The front edge surface is, for example, perpendicular to the two glass surfaces, but can also be rounded.
[0010] The safety glazing also has a surrounding edge. The surrounding edge comprises at least the front edge and, if applicable, any adjacent areas of both glazing surfaces. It is understood that these areas of the two glazing surfaces do not extend across the entire glazing surface, but rather only over a marginal portion of it.
[0011] Optionally, a pane holder is fixedly attached to the safety pane, wherein the pane holder is only partially circumferential (not fully circumferential) and is therefore arranged on at least a first section of the pane edge and is not arranged on at least a second section of the pane edge that is different from the first section. The pane holder is firmly connected to the at least one first section of the pane edge, for example by clamping. The safety pane can thus be mounted via the pane holder in such a way that the safety pane only has partial contact with the pane bearing, for example only on one side, in particular only on the base. Preferably, the pane holder is only arranged on one side of the safety pane, in particular on the base, and is only in direct or indirect contact with the safety pane there.
[0012] The safety pane is typically rectangular or square in shape, with the pane edge consisting of four straight sections, i.e., two pairs of opposing parallel sections. Preferably, the pane holder is arranged on a straight section of the pane edge that is at the bottom when the safety pane is in its working position, and is firmly connected to the safety pane. Advantageously, the pane holder is arranged only on the straight section of the pane edge that is at the bottom when the safety pane is in its working position, and is firmly connected to the safety pane, i.e., the pane holder is arranged neither on the opposite straight section nor on the two other straight sections of the pane edge that are arranged at right angles thereto.
[0013] However, it is also possible for the pane holder to be arranged on at least one further linear section of the pane edge, which is adjacent to the linear section of the pane edge on the bottom side when the safety pane is in the working position, and to be firmly connected thereto. This means that the pane holder can also be arranged on one or both other linear sections of the pane edge that are arranged at right angles to the linear section on the bottom side. In any case, the pane holder is not arranged on the linear section opposite the linear section on the bottom side, which is the second section within the meaning of the invention. The invention can also be used advantageously in this case.
[0014] The pane arrangement also comprises a pane bearing in or on which the safety pane is mounted so that it can be tilted, i.e. the safety pane is arranged in the pane bearing by means of a tilting bearing. The pane bearing is firmly connected or can be connected to a base or external structure. The pane bearing serves to anchor the tiltable safety pane to the base or external structure. The safety pane is mounted so that it can be tilted, directly or indirectly via the front edge surface, in or on the pane bearing. The tilting bearing is such that the safety pane can be tilted in directions transverse to the pane plane. In the working position, the safety pane is advantageously in a vertical orientation, i.e. the pane plane of the safety pane is directed vertically (i.e. in the direction of gravity).
[0015] In the event of an explosion, the safety glass is generally subjected to a pressure of at least 20 kN per m 2 Disc area, in particular at least 50 kN per m 2 In particular, the pressure acting on the safety glass during an explosion is in the range of 20 to 350 kN per m 2 Disc surface.
[0016] In the context of the present invention, the term "tiltable" or "tiltable mounted" refers to the tiltability of the safety pane at least at an explosion-induced pane pressure of at least 20 kN per m 2 Pane surface. It is understood that the safety pane is typically fixed in the pane bearing, whereby at least from an explosion-related pane pressure of 20 kN per m 2The pane surface allows tilting of the pane. Rigid fixing elements, which are used, for example, to adjust the safety pane, typically break in an explosion, so the tiltability of the safety pane is not affected. Therefore, the safety pane is at least resistant to an explosion-induced pane pressure of 20 kN per m 2 Disc surface tiltably mounted in the disc bearing.
[0017] If a pane support is provided for the safety pane, the pane support is rigidly connected to the safety pane, meaning no relative movement is possible between the pane support and the safety pane, so the safety pane cannot be tilted relative to the pane support. However, the safety pane can be tilted relative to the pane support, whereby in this case the fixed combination of the safety pane and pane support can be tilted relative to the pane support. If no pane support is provided for the safety pane, the safety pane as such, i.e., without a pane support, can be tilted relative to the pane support.
[0018] Furthermore, the pane arrangement comprises, on at least one side of the safety pane, at least one elastically deformable means which is clamped between the safety pane or the pane holder firmly attached to the safety pane and the pane bearing in such a way that tilting of the pane due to an (elastic) counterforce caused by deformation is counteracted. The elastically deformable means is arranged on the non-attack side of the safety pane, i.e. on the side of the safety pane facing away from the cause of the pressure wave, so that tilting of the safety pane caused by a pressure wave is counteracted. The attack side of the safety pane is the side on which the pressure wave of an explosion acts.
[0019] The pane arrangement is designed in such a way that the safety pane can withstand at least the pane pressure occurring during an explosion (i.e. pane pressure of at least 20 kN per m 2 disc surface) can be tilted against the elastic spring force of the at least one elastically deformable means.
[0020] It is also possible, however, for the pane arrangement to be designed in such a way that the safety pane can be tilted against the elastic spring force of the at least one elastically deformable means even without the pane pressure occurring in the event of an explosion, in which case the safety pane is fixed in the pane bearing on the pane side on which the at least one elastically deformable means is located by the at least one elastically deformable means. In this case, tilting of the pane is counteracted exclusively (i.e. only) by the at least one elastically deformable means. In other words, no non-elastically deformable means is provided to counteract tilting of the pane. The safety pane is fixed in the pane bearing on the side on which the elastically deformable means is located exclusively by the at least one elastically deformable means, i.e.The safety pane can be tilted in this direction if a force acts on the safety pane, causing the at least one elastically deformable means to be elastically deformed. Thus, the safety pane is mounted in the pane bearing in such a way that it can be tilted and is fixed on one side by the at least one elastically deformable means, so that the safety pane can be tilted against the elastic force of the elastically deformable means.
[0021] The arrangement according to the invention advantageously enables the explosion pressure (pressure wave) to be at least partially absorbed by tilting the safety pane in combination with the resulting elastic deformation of the elastically deformable means and the elastic counterforce (spring force) generated thereby. The bearing of the safety pane is thus exposed to significantly lower forces and can accordingly be dimensioned to be much less stable. This reduces the weight and material costs of the bearing of the safety pane. In addition, damage to the bearing of the safety pane and to the safety pane itself can be counteracted. These are major advantages of the pane arrangement according to the invention. The at least one elastically deformable means is preferably designed such that the elastic spring force can withstand a pane pressure of at least 20 kN per m 2Disc area, in particular at least 50 kN per m 2 Disc area, which is particularly in the range of 20 to 350 kN per m 2 disc surface, can counteract.
[0022] According to a particularly advantageous embodiment of the pane arrangement according to the invention, at least one elastically deformable means is arranged on each side of the safety pane. The elastically deformable means are clamped between the safety pane or the pane holder firmly attached to the safety pane and the pane bearing in such a way that tilting of the safety pane in the two opposite directions transverse to the pane plane is counteracted by the elastic counterforces of the elastically deformable means resulting from the deformation.
[0023] The pane arrangement is designed in such a way that the safety pane is at least capable of withstanding the pane pressure occurring during an explosion (i.e. pane pressure of at least 20 kN per m 2 pane surface) can be tilted against the elastic spring force of the elastically deformable means arranged on both sides of the safety pane.
[0024] It is also possible, however, for the pane arrangement to be designed in such a way that the safety pane can be tilted against the elastic spring forces of the elastically deformable means arranged on both sides of the safety pane even without the pane pressure occurring in the event of an explosion, in which case the safety pane is fixed in the pane mount by the elastically deformable means. In this case, tilting of the pane is counteracted exclusively (i.e. only) by the elastically deformable means. In other words, no non-elastically deformable means is provided to counteract tilting of the panes. The safety pane is therefore mounted in the pane mount in such a way that it can be tilted and is fixed on both sides of the pane by the elastically deformable means that the safety pane can be tilted against the elastic force of the elastically deformable means.
[0025] This design has the advantage that the elastically deformable means can absorb the forces acting on the safety pane in both directions perpendicular to the pane plane. Thus, the pane's mounting can absorb the forces generated by a pressure and suction wave in opposite directions. This is another major advantage of the invention. In addition, the safety pane can be particularly advantageously fixed in its tilted position by the elastically deformable means arranged on both sides of the pane. This enables a particularly simple practical implementation of the pane arrangement according to the invention.
[0026] According to an advantageous embodiment of the pane assembly according to the invention, the pane support has at least one bearing block on which the safety pane is tiltably mounted. The bearing block is a fixed component of the pane support, i.e., it cannot be moved relative to the pane support.
[0027] The pane bearing advantageously comprises a bearing plate, for example, arranged on the base, to which the bearing block is rigidly connected. The bearing block enables a particularly simple, stable and secure tilting support of the safety pane, with the safety pane resting directly or indirectly on the bearing block at its front edge, if necessary via the pane holder. The safety pane can thus be tilted relative to the bearing block.
[0028] Advantageously, the bearing block has a curved support surface in cross-section transverse (perpendicular) to the pane plane, wherein the support surface, starting from a bearing point for the direct or indirect support of the safety pane, is curved away from the safety pane in one direction or in two opposing directions transverse to the pane plane. For example, the bearing block is designed for this purpose in cross-section with a partially spherical shape, in particular a hemispherical shape, although any other curvature is equally possible, as long as the support surface, starting from the bearing point, is curved away from the safety pane in one direction or in two opposing directions transverse to the pane plane. The bearing block can be designed, for example, as a bearing cap or bearing part cylinder (cylinder severed in the axial direction). In particular, a plurality of bearing blocks can be provided for supporting a single safety disc, for example a plurality of bearing caps arranged in places.
[0029] Alternatively, the bearing block can also be designed as a cuboid-shaped bearing platform with a flat support surface. It would also be conceivable for the safety glass pane holder to be connected to the bearing block via a tilting joint. Furthermore, it would be conceivable for the pane holder and the bearing block to be connected via a guide rail.
[0030] Particularly advantageously, the safety pane is mounted in a tiltable manner on the pane bearing, in particular on the bearing block, resting only by gravity, which enables a particularly simple realization of the pane arrangement according to the invention.
[0031] According to an advantageous embodiment of the pane arrangement according to the invention, at least one elastically deformable means is clamped between the safety pane or a pane holder firmly attached to the safety pane and the pane bearing in such a way that it can be deformed parallel to the pane plane to generate the elastic counterforce. The forces occurring when the safety pane is tilted can thus be absorbed parallel to the pane plane, i.e., in the working position of the safety pane, particularly in the vertical direction. Preferably, at least one such elastically deformable means is arranged on each side of the pane.
[0032] According to an advantageous embodiment of the pane arrangement according to the invention, at least one elastically deformable means is clamped between the safety pane or a pane holder firmly attached to the safety pane and the pane bearing in such a way that it can be deformed perpendicularly or obliquely to the pane plane to generate the elastic counterforce. The forces occurring when the safety pane is tilted can thus be absorbed perpendicularly or obliquely to the pane plane, i.e., in the working position of the safety pane, particularly in the horizontal direction. Advantageously, at least one elastically deformable means is arranged in this manner on each side of the pane.
[0033] According to an advantageous embodiment of the pane arrangement according to the invention, the pane holder has a U-shaped receptacle for the pane edge, sectioned transversely to the pane plane. The U-shaped receptacle comprises, for example, a pane holder support plate on the bottom side for supporting the front edge surface of the safety pane, wherein the pane holder support plate is arranged perpendicular to the pane plane, as well as two pane holder side walls connected to the pane holder support plate, which are each arranged parallel to the pane plane and bear directly or indirectly against the pane surfaces. This enables a particularly secure connection to the pane edge, in particular by clamping the pane between the pane holder side walls. For example, the pane holder comprises a one-piece L- or T-shaped component in which the pane holder support plate and one pane holder side wall are integrated, as well as a counterpart for clamping to this component, with the counterpart forming the other pane holder side wall. This feature enables particularly simple and secure attachment of the pane holder to the safety pane.
[0034] According to an advantageous embodiment of the disc assembly according to the invention, the disc bearing has a U-shaped receptacle for the disc edge or disc holder, viewed transversely to the disc plane. The disc bearing comprises a disc bearing support plate, for example, on the bottom side, arranged perpendicular to the disc plane, and two disc bearing side walls, each of which is preferably arranged parallel to the disc plane.
[0035] According to an advantageous embodiment of the pane arrangement according to the invention, the safety pane has a permanently attached pane holder, wherein the pane holder is designed to be partially circumferential and is thus arranged on at least a first section of the pane edge and not arranged on at least a second section of the pane edge. The pane bearing further comprises a pane bearing support plate. The pane bearing support plate has two projecting plate sections that project transversely to the pane plane with respect to the safety pane. Furthermore, an elastically deformable means is clamped on each of both sides of the pane between the two projecting plate sections and the pane bearing support plate. In the working position of the safety pane, the elastically deformable means are preferably clamped in the vertical direction and compressible. This embodiment of the pane arrangement according to the invention can be implemented particularly easily, whereby a tiltable mounting of the safety pane in the pane bearing and the absorption of forces during tilting are ensured by the elastically deformable means.
[0036] According to an advantageous embodiment of the pane arrangement according to the invention, the pane bearing has a U-shaped receptacle for the pane edge in a section transverse to the pane plane, wherein the pane bearing comprises a pane bearing support plate and two pane bearing side walls, wherein an elastically deformable means is clamped on each of the panes between the safety pane and the pane bearing side walls. In the working position of the safety pane, the elastically deformable means are preferably clamped in the horizontal direction and compressible. This embodiment of the pane arrangement according to the invention can also be implemented particularly easily, ensuring a tiltable mounting of the safety pane in the pane bearing and the absorption of forces during tilting by the elastically deformable means.
[0037] In principle, the elastically deformable means can be designed in any way, as long as its elastic deformability and the generation of an elastic counterforce through elastic deformation are ensured. The elastic means is preferably designed in the form of a rubber damper or a spring, in particular a helical spring or disc spring.
[0038] The safety glass can, in principle, be of any design, as long as it is guaranteed to have explosion-resistant properties. For example, the safety glass can be made of single-pane safety glass that has been tempered to achieve particularly high impact and break resistance. The use of partially toughened glass is also possible.
[0039] The safety pane is preferably in the form of a multiple pane, wherein the multiple pane is preferably a laminated composite pane, advantageously with three or more (e.g. three to eight) individual panes. In a laminated composite pane, adjacent individual panes are each firmly connected to one another via an intermediate layer. The intermediate layer is formed by at least one thermoplastic connecting film. The thermoplastic connecting film contains at least one thermoplastic polymer, preferably ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA), polyvinyl butyral (PVB) or polyurethane (PU) or mixtures or copolymers or derivatives thereof. The thickness of the intermediate layer and in particular of the thermoplastic connecting film is preferably from 0.2 mm to 2 mm, particularly preferably from 0.76 mm to 1.52 mm.The production of a composite pane by lamination is carried out using conventional methods known to those skilled in the art, such as autoclave processes, vacuum bag processes, vacuum ring processes, calender processes, vacuum laminators, or combinations thereof. The bonding is usually achieved under the influence of heat, vacuum, and / or pressure. In a multi-pane structure, the two outermost surfaces are the pane surfaces of the safety pane.
[0040] The safety pane preferably has a total thickness in the range of 16 mm to 100 mm or more. If the safety pane is in the form of a laminated composite pane, each individual pane preferably has a thickness in the range of 3 to 15 mm. The thickness of the panes can vary widely and be adapted to individual requirements. It is also possible for the safety pane to be designed like an insulating pane, with two immediately adjacent panes or pane arrangements being spaced apart by a spacer. Each pane or pane arrangement can be designed as a single pane (tempered, partially tempered, or untempered), a laminated composite pane, or even as a multiple pane. In particular, intumescent material can be arranged in one or more spaces to provide additional fire protection.
[0041] The basic structure of an explosion-resistant safety glass is well known to the person skilled in the art from industrial glass production and from patent literature, so that it need not be discussed in more detail here.
[0042] The safety pane or the panes installed therein are preferably made of glass, particularly preferably soda-lime glass, as is common for window panes. However, the panes can also be made of other types of glass, such as quartz glass, borosilicate glass, or aluminosilicate glass, or of rigid, clear plastics, such as polycarbonate or polymethyl methacrylate. The panes can be made of non-tempered, semi-tempered, or toughened glass.
[0043] The safety pane can be clear or colorless, but also tinted, clouded, or colored. The safety pane can be transparent or opaque. For the purposes of the present invention, "transparent" means that the visible light transmission is more than 70%, and in particular more than 75%. Accordingly, "opaque" means a light transmission of less than 15%, preferably less than 5%, and in particular 0%.
[0044] The invention also extends to a method for producing a pane assembly according to the invention as described above. The method according to the invention comprises at least the following steps:
[0045] Providing an explosion-resistant safety screen,
[0046] Tiltable storage of the safety glass in a glass storage,
[0047] Clamping at least one elastically deformable means on at least one side of the safety pane between the safety pane or a pane holder and the pane bearing in such a way that tilting of the safety pane due to a counterforce generated by deformation of the elastically deformable means is counteracted. The various embodiments of the invention can be implemented individually or in any combination. In particular, the features mentioned above and explained further below can be used not only in the specified combinations, but also in other combinations or on their own, without departing from the scope of the present invention.
[0048] The invention is explained in more detail below using exemplary embodiments, with reference to the accompanying figures. Identical or equivalent elements are provided with the same reference numerals. They show, in a simplified representation, not to scale:
[0049] Figure 1 shows an exemplary embodiment of the disc arrangement according to the invention with vertical force absorption,
[0050] Figure 2 shows an exemplary embodiment of the disc arrangement according to the invention with horizontal force absorption,
[0051] Figure 3 shows a further exemplary embodiment of the disc arrangement according to the invention with horizontal force absorption,
[0052] Figure 4 is a flow chart of the method according to the invention.
[0053] Consider first Figure 1, which illustrates a schematic sectional view of an embodiment of the pane assembly according to the invention, designated overall by reference numeral 100. The sectional view corresponds to a perpendicular section through the pane assembly 100 (transverse to the pane plane).
[0054] The arrangement 100 comprises an explosion-resistant safety pane 1, which is designed as a laminated composite pane with, for example, four flat individual panes 2, each of which is firmly connected to one another by a thermoplastic intermediate layer 3. A larger or smaller number of individual panes 2 would also be possible. The two pane surfaces 4, 4' of the safety pane 1 are formed by the pane surfaces of the two outermost individual panes 2. The individual panes 2 have, for example, the same thickness here, although the thicknesses can also be different. The safety pane 1 has an end-side edge surface 5, which results from the end-side edge surfaces of the individual panes 2 and the intermediate layers 3. The end-side edge surface 5 connects the two pane surfaces 4, 4' to one another and is arranged perpendicular to them. The two disc surfaces 4, 4' are parallel and the disc plane is parallel to the parallel planes of the individual discs 2. The front edge surface 5 is, for example, flat here, but can also be rounded.
[0055] Alternatively, it would also be possible for the safety pane 1 to be designed in the manner of an insulating glass pane, wherein the individual panes 2 are connected to one another via spacers, as long as it is ensured that such a safety pane has sufficient strength.
[0056] The individual panes 2 are preferably made of glass, in particular soda-lime glass, which can be tempered, partially tempered, or untempered. The total thickness of the safety pane is advantageously in the range of 16 to 100 mm to ensure sufficient strength against the pressure and suction waves associated with an explosion. The thermoplastic intermediate layers 3 consist, for example, of polyvinyl butyral (PVB). The thickness of the films used to produce the intermediate layers 3 is preferably in the range of 0.76 mm to 1.52 mm.
[0057] In the embodiment illustrated in Figure 1, the safety pane 1 is shown in a vertical working position, ie the pane plane is aligned vertically (in the direction of gravity).
[0058] A pane holder 6 is mounted (movement-)fixedly on the safety pane 1. The pane holder 6 has a U-shaped pane holder receptacle 7 for a pane edge 8 of the safety pane 1. The pane edge 8 comprises the front edge surface 5 as well as adjacent edge regions of the two pane surfaces 4, 4'. The U-shaped pane holder receptacle 7 encompasses the pane edge 8 on both sides of the pane. The pane holder 6 comprises a flat pane holder support plate 9 and two flat pane holder side walls 10, 10', which together form the U-shaped pane holder receptacle 7. The safety pane 1 rests indirectly on the front edge surface 5 of the pane holder support plate 9.In the present exemplary embodiment, the bottom section of the front edge surface 5 rests directly on a (spacer) block 26, which in turn rests directly on an upper clamping surface 22 of a clamping piece 12, which is here, for example, flat. The clamping piece 12 rests directly on a lower clamping surface 23 of the window holder support plate 9. The two window holder side walls 10, 10' rest indirectly on the window surfaces 4, 4' with the interposition of sealing material 13. The sealing material 13 here consists, for example, of rubber sheets (e.g., EPDM), which have sufficient stability for the clamping.
[0059] In this embodiment, the disc holder support plate 9 and one of the two disc holder side walls 10, 10', here the disc holder side wall 10', are formed as a single, rigid component. The other disc holder side wall 10 is detachable from this component and can be firmly connected to the component by means of a clamping screw 11, whereby the disc edge 8 received in the U-shaped disc holder receptacle 7 is clamped between the two disc holder side walls 10, 10'. The clamping screw 11 can, for example, be screwed into the clamping piece 12. The disc holder 6 is thus rigidly mounted on the disc edge 8. The disc holder 6 is thus firmly attached to the disc edge 8.
[0060] In the working position, the disc holder support plate 9 is oriented perpendicular to the disc plane, i.e., horizontally here. The disc holder support plate 9 protrudes in a direction transverse to the disc plane relative to or projects beyond the two disc surfaces 4, 4', so that it has two projecting plate sections 14, 14'.
[0061] The pane holder 6 is formed only partially around the periphery, i.e., it does not completely surround the pane edge 8. Preferably, the pane holder 6 is arranged only on a bottom-side portion of the pane edge 8. With a typical rectangular or square shape of the safety pane 1, the pane holder 6 is preferably arranged only on a bottom-side, straight section of the pane edge 8.
[0062] The pane support plate 9 is tiltably mounted (loosely) on the support surface 24 of a bearing block 15. For this purpose, the support surface 24 of the bearing block 15 has a curved shape, with the pane support plate 9 resting on the highest point of the bearing block 15. This is the bearing point 16 of the bearing block 15. Starting from the bearing point 16, the bearing block 15 curves away from the safety pane 1 (front edge surface 5) or pane support plate 9 in both directions perpendicular to the pane plane, so that the safety pane 1 can tilt in both directions transverse to the pane plane.
[0063] The arrangement 100 further comprises a disk bearing 17, which has a flat disk bearing support plate 18. The bearing block 15 is rigidly connected to the disk bearing support plate 18, which is not shown in detail in Figure 1. For this purpose, the bearing block 15 can also be formed integrally with the disk bearing support plate 18, i.e., form a common (rigid) component. When the safety disk 1 is not tilted, the disk holder support plate 9 is arranged parallel to the disk bearing support plate 18.
[0064] To inhibit the tilting movement of the safety pane 1, an elastically deformable means 20, which is designed here, for example, as a spring, e.g., a helical spring, is clamped on both sides of the pane between the projecting plate section 14, 14' of the pane holder support plate 9 and the pane bearing support plate 18. The elastically deformable means 20 are each arranged or clamped in such a way that elastic deformation occurs parallel to the pane plane, here perpendicular to the pane bearing support plate 18, i.e., in the vertical direction. The compression axes (spring axes) 21 are directed vertically, which is shown schematically in Figure 1.
[0065] In the event of an explosion, here for example on the pane side of the pane surface 4' (right-hand pane side in Figure 1), a pressure wave acts on the pane surface 4', causing the safety pane 1 to tilt (to the left in Figure 1). This results in the elastically deformable means 20 located on the other pane side being compressed, and the elastic counterforce generated thereby counteracts the tilting movement of the safety pane 1. The pressure wave acting on the safety pane 1 can thus be absorbed. Conversely, the subsequent suction wave tilts the safety pane 1 in the other direction, whereby the elastically deformable means 20' located on the other pane side is compressed, so that the elastic counterforce generated thereby counteracts the tilting movement of the safety pane 1.The pressure and suction forces acting on safety pane 1 during an explosion, which cause it to tilt in two opposite directions perpendicular to the pane plane, can thus be reliably and safely absorbed. In the event of an explosion on the other side of the pane, the pressure and suction forces can be absorbed in a similar manner.
[0066] Figure 2 illustrates a further exemplary embodiment of the disc arrangement 100 according to the invention. In order to avoid unnecessary repetition, only the differences from the embodiment of Figure 1 are explained and otherwise reference is made to the explanations for Figure 1.
[0067] In this embodiment, no pane support plate 9 is provided for the pane support 6. The pane support 6 comprises two (vertical) pane support side walls 10, 10' between which the safety pane 1 is clamped. The front edge surface 5 of the safety pane 1 rests on the flat upper clamping surface 22 of the clamping piece 12, with the (spacer) block 26 interposed. The two pane support side walls 10, 10' are each firmly connected to the cuboid clamping piece 12 via clamping screws 11.
[0068] The clamping piece 12 of the pane holder 6 rests loosely on the bearing block 15 via its flat lower clamping piece surface 23, which here has, for example, a hemispherical shape in a section perpendicular to the pane plane. When the safety pane 1 is not tilted, i.e., vertically aligned, the lower clamping piece surface 23 is directed perpendicular to the pane plane, i.e., horizontally aligned. The safety pane 1 can thus be tilted relative to the bearing block 15 in both opposite directions perpendicular to the pane plane. The bearing block 15 is, for example, a half-cylinder cut in the axial direction. It would also be possible to provide one or more hemispheres (domes).
[0069] The disc bearing 17 comprises, in addition to the bearing block 15, a flat disc bearing support plate 18, which is oriented perpendicular to the disc plane (i.e., horizontal), and two disc bearing side walls 19, 19' connected thereto, which are oriented parallel to the disc plane (i.e., vertical). Together, they form a U-shaped disc bearing receptacle 25 for the disc edge 8 or disc holder 6.
[0070] To inhibit the tilting movement of the safety pane 1, an elastically deformable means 20, designed here, for example, as an elongated helical spring, is clamped on both sides of the pane between the pane holder side walls 10, 10' and the pane bearing side walls 19, 19', which are all aligned parallel to the pane plane (i.e., vertically). The elastically deformable means 20 are each arranged such that the clamping and the elastic deformation occur perpendicular to the pane plane, i.e., here parallel to the pane bearing support plate 18, i.e., in a horizontal direction. The compression axes (spring axes) 21 are aligned vertically, as shown schematically in Figure 2.
[0071] Figure 3 illustrates a further exemplary embodiment of the pane arrangement 100 according to the invention. To avoid unnecessary repetition, only the differences from the embodiment in Figure 2 are explained, and otherwise reference is made to the explanations for Figure 2. In this embodiment, no pane holder 6 is provided. The flat, front-side edge surface 5 of the safety pane 1 sits directly on a flat bearing block surface 24 of the bearing block 15. The bearing block 15 is, for example, cuboid-shaped, wherein the dimension of the bearing block 15 perpendicular to the pane plane approximately corresponds to the dimension of the front-side edge surface 5. The safety pane 1 can thus be tilted relative to the bearing block 15 in both opposite directions perpendicular to the pane plane.
[0072] The disc bearing 17 comprises, in addition to the bearing block 15, a flat disc bearing support plate 18, which is oriented perpendicular to the disc plane (i.e., horizontal), and two disc bearing side walls 19, 19' connected thereto, which are oriented parallel to the disc plane (i.e., vertical). Together, they form a U-shaped disc bearing receptacle 25 for the disc edge 8.
[0073] To inhibit the tilting movement of the safety pane 1, an elastically deformable means 20, designed here, for example, as a rubber buffer, is clamped on both sides of the pane between the safety pane 1 and the pane support side walls 19, 19', which are all aligned parallel to the pane plane (i.e., vertically). The elastically deformable means 20 are each arranged such that elastic deformation occurs perpendicular to the pane plane, i.e., here parallel to the pane support plate 18, i.e., in the horizontal direction. The elastically deformable means 20 have, for example, direct contact with the safety pane 1 and the pane support side walls 19, 19'.
[0074] Figure 4 illustrates the method according to the invention using a flowchart. Steps a), b), and c) relate to:
[0075] (a) providing an explosion-resistant safety screen,
[0076] (b) Tiltable storage of the safety glass in a glass storage unit,
[0077] (c) clamping an elastically deformable means on at least one side of the safety glazing between the safety glazing and the glazing support in such a way that tilting of the safety glazing due to a counterforce resulting from deformation of the elastically deformable means is counteracted.
[0078] As can be seen from the above description of the invention, the invention presents a novel pane arrangement with an explosion-resistant safety pane, through which the pressure and suction waves of an explosion can be at least partially absorbed by tilting the safety pane and the associated elastic deformation of one or more elastically deformable means and their elastic counterforce. The bearing of the safety pane can thus be dimensioned much smaller, thereby reducing the weight and material costs of the bearing of the safety pane. Furthermore, damage to the bearing of the safety pane can be reliably and safely prevented. The pane arrangement can be implemented easily and cost-effectively in industrial series production.
