Description
[0001] OPENABLE SIDE TARP WALL SYSTEM
[0002] The invention relates to an openable side tarpaulin wall system for a commercial vehicle, such as a truck, a semi-trailer, a transport vehicle, a trailer, a container, a railway wagon, or the like. The invention further relates to a sliding stanchion for a side tarpaulin wall system.
[0003] A wide variety of solutions and structures are known from practice regarding side curtain wall systems for commercial vehicles. Commercial vehicles, such as trucks, trailers, and semi-trailers, are primarily used to transport goods and freight on public roads. For this purpose, commercial vehicles include a cargo space designed to accommodate the goods and freight to be transported. This cargo space is equipped, for example, with a side curtain wall system.
[0004] The side tarpaulin wall system of a commercial vehicle is primarily designed to protect the load from rain, dirt, weather, and other influences to the sides. Furthermore, the side tarpaulin wall system must ensure the securement of the load, particularly while driving, for example, when cornering or during emergency braking, so that the side tarpaulin wall system is always able to absorb a defined horizontal force, which could be exerted on the side tarpaulin wall system, for example, by a load that has slipped in the cargo area.
[0005] Furthermore, a side tarpaulin wall system should be as lightweight as possible to ensure economical and energy-saving travel. Another important aspect is the quick opening and closing of the side tarpaulin wall system to minimize downtime for loading and unloading. The side tarpaulin wall system should also advantageously be able to provide the largest possible opening to the cargo area, allowing for virtually unobstructed loading and unloading of goods.
[0006] DE 197 56617 A1 shows an openable side tarpaulin wall system for a commercial vehicle, comprising at least one sliding stanchion with a stanchion suspension device which is displaceable along a first chamber of a longitudinal member supported against a loading platform, and at least one tarpaulin segment which at least partially closes a lateral opening of the commercial vehicle and which is suspended via tarpaulin suspension devices which are displaceable along a second chamber of the longitudinal member, wherein the side tarpaulin can be connected to a corner stanchion via a piping connection.
[0007] DE 10 2020 126429 A1 discloses a commercial vehicle with an openable side tarpaulin wall system, comprising at least one tarpaulin segment that at least partially closes a lateral opening of the commercial vehicle. The tarpaulin segment has at least one edge-side connecting element, and the connecting element is connected to a corresponding counter-element of a corner stanchion. The connecting element of the tarpaulin segment is designed as a piping.
[0008] EP 2 708 395 A1 shows an openable side tarpaulin wall system of a commercial vehicle, such as a semi-trailer, comprising at least one sliding stanchion with a stanchion suspension device that is displaceable along a longitudinal member supported against a loading platform. Furthermore, at least one tarpaulin segment is shown, which at least partially closes a lateral opening of the commercial vehicle and which is displaceable along the longitudinal member via the same stanchion suspension device.Furthermore, a guide rail is located in one area of the loading platform, which is essentially identical to the upper longitudinal member. The sliding stanchion has a sliding stanchion carriage at its lower end, which essentially corresponds to the stanchion suspension device, so that the sliding stanchion can be displaced along the guide rail at its lower end via the sliding stanchion carriage. The tarpaulin segment is directly connected to the sliding stanchion by means of fastening means, so that the tarpaulin segment can follow any displacement of the sliding stanchion in the longitudinal direction of the loading platform.
[0009] DE 10 2016 103 171 A1 shows an openable side tarpaulin wall system for a commercial vehicle, comprising at least one sliding stanchion with a stanchion suspension device which is displaceable along a first chamber of a longitudinal member supported against a loading platform, and at least one tarpaulin segment which at least partially closes a lateral opening of the commercial vehicle and which is suspended via tarpaulin suspension devices which are displaceable along a second chamber of the longitudinal member, wherein the stanchion suspension device has two twin support rollers.

Furthermore, the tarpaulin suspension device and the lower tarpaulin slide each comprise a first pair of twin support rollers and a second pair of twin support rollers, wherein the lower tarpaulin slide additionally has at least one horizontal guide roller.
[0014] DE 10 2011 107 377 A1 shows an openable side tarpaulin wall system for a commercial vehicle, comprising at least one height-adjustable sliding stanchion with a stanchion suspension device which can be displaced along a chamber of a longitudinal member supported against a loading platform, and at least one tarpaulin segment which at least partially closes a lateral opening of the commercial vehicle and which is suspended via tarpaulin suspension devices which are each arranged on the stanchion suspension devices, wherein the stanchion suspension device has two twin support rollers, and wherein a guide rail with a lower chamber is arranged in a region of the loading platform, in which the sliding stanchion can be displaced along the guide rail by means of a sliding stanchion carriage.
[0015] DE 10 2017 107 583 A1 shows a support roller for a carriage of a roof frame for a tarpaulin structure, wherein the support roller has flange areas that are suitable for absorbing horizontal forces.
[0016] DE 10 2016 103 172 A1 discloses an openable side tarpaulin wall system for a commercial vehicle, comprising a side tarpaulin suspended from at least one tarpaulin suspension device. The tarpaulin suspension device has two support rollers and at least one guide roller. The support rollers are movable within a first chamber of a longitudinal member, and the guide roller is movable within a second chamber of the longitudinal member. The guide roller is arranged between the two support rollers below the first chamber.
[0017] DE 10 2017 126 055 A1 discloses an openable side tarpaulin wall system for a commercial vehicle. The openable side tarpaulin wall system comprises a side tarpaulin that at least partially closes a side opening of the commercial vehicle and is suspended via tarpaulin suspension devices that can be moved along a longitudinal member supported against a loading platform. The side tarpaulin has at least one edge-side connection element that is connected to a counter-element of a corner stanchion. The connection element of the side tarpaulin comprises a piping that is inserted into a piping rail that is designed as a counter-element of the corner stanchion. The side tarpaulin also has straps. A disadvantage is that the side tarpaulin wall system has a side tarpaulin that can only be moved along the longitudinal member via tarpaulin suspension devices. The side tarpaulin includes tensioning elements on its lower horizontal edge that can be engaged with the loading platform. Opening and closing the side tarpaulin therefore always requires the use of the tensioning elements, making opening and closing the side tarpaulin time-consuming. Furthermore, a side tarpaulin that is at least partially open is not secured or tensioned at its lower edge, allowing the side tarpaulin to shift uncontrollably.
[0018] DE 10 2006 043 655 A1 discloses an openable side tarpaulin wall system for a commercial vehicle. The side tarpaulin wall system comprises at least one sliding stanchion with a stanchion suspension device that can be displaced along a chamber of a longitudinal member supported against a loading platform. Furthermore, the side tarpaulin wall system comprises a side tarpaulin that at least partially closes a lateral opening of the commercial vehicle. The side tarpaulin has connecting elements that are connected to a counter-element of the sliding stanchion. The counter-element comprises a piping rail with a groove into which the connecting element of the side tarpaulin, which is designed as a piping, is inserted. Furthermore, the side tarpaulin is attached exclusively to the sliding stanchions. A disadvantage is that the side tarpaulin is attached only to the sliding stanchions or corner stanchions, so that almost the entire weight of the side tarpaulin is borne by the sliding stanchions. This type of attachment leads to a shortened product life of the side tarpaulin, which is constantly subjected to high loads. Furthermore, there is a problem with the sealing against rain, meltwater, and dirty water in the roof area of the commercial vehicle, as the side tarpaulin is not connected to the longitudinal member. Furthermore, the side tarpaulin is attached to a tensioning edge of the loading platform using tensioning elements, making opening and closing the side tarpaulin time-consuming.
[0019] DE 20 2013 006 707 U1 shows a tarpaulin for a commercial vehicle, which is connected to a roof frame of the commercial vehicle. The tarpaulin can be used either for a side tarpaulin wall system or a roof tarpaulin wall system of a commercial vehicle. The corresponding side tarpaulin wall system comprises at least one sliding stanchion, which is displaceable along a longitudinal member supported against a loading platform. Furthermore, the side tarpaulin wall system comprises at least one tarpaulin segment, which at least partially closes a lateral opening of the commercial vehicle. Here, the tarpaulin segment has at least one edge-side connection element, which is designed as a piping. The piping of the tarpaulin segment is connected to a counter-element of the sliding stanchion, which is designed as a piping rail.
[0020] WO 2017 214 689 A1 describes an openable side tarpaulin wall system for a commercial vehicle. The side tarpaulin wall system comprises at least one sliding stanchion with a stanchion suspension device that is displaceable along a longitudinal member supported against a loading platform. Furthermore, the side tarpaulin wall system comprises a side tarpaulin that at least partially closes a side opening of the commercial vehicle. Furthermore, the sliding stanchions have sliding stanchion carriages that are displaceable along a guide rail assigned to the loading platform. The side tarpaulin is connected to the sliding stanchions and has an upper edge parallel to the longitudinal member and a lower edge parallel to the loading platform. Furthermore, the sliding stanchions have a trapezoidal cross-section, which allows them to be guided more easily past an obstacle when opening or closing the side tarpaulin.Furthermore, folding aids for the side tarpaulin are arranged between the adjacent sliding stanchions. A disadvantage is that the side tarpaulin wall system has a continuous side tarpaulin, so the side tarpaulin wall system comprises an unnecessary number of components, for example, with regard to the sliding stanchions, which increases the overall weight of the commercial vehicle. Furthermore, the production and assembly of the side tarpaulin wall system is time-consuming and costly.
[0021] EP 3284624 A1 shows a sliding stanchion for an openable side tarpaulin wall system for a commercial vehicle. The sliding stanchion comprises a sliding stanchion body with an upper end and a lower end. The upper end of the sliding stanchion body comprises a stanchion suspension device having at least two upper support rollers and at least one upper guide roller arranged between the two support rollers, which are arranged in a first chamber of the longitudinal member. The stanchion suspension device is displaceable along a longitudinal member of the commercial vehicle supported against a loading platform, with additional guide rollers arranged in a second chamber of the longitudinal member. The sliding stanchion further comprises a sliding stanchion carriage arranged at the lower end of the sliding stanchion body, the support and guide rollers of which also require two chambers. The sliding stanchion carriage comprises at least one lower support roller and at least one lower guide roller.A side tarpaulin of the openable side tarpaulin wall system is attached to the sliding stanchion body of the sliding stanchion. The disadvantage is that the side tarpaulin wall system has a continuous side tarpaulin. This results in increased localized mechanical stress on the side tarpaulin due to the side tarpaulin's own weight. Particularly in the fastening area within the sliding stanchion, high tensile forces in the direction of travel, as well as the weight of the side tarpaulin in the vertical direction, act on the side tarpaulin and the connecting elements during the opening or closing process of the side tarpaulin wall system.
[0022] It is the object of the invention to provide an openable side tarpaulin wall system and a sliding stanchion for a commercial vehicle with which a side tarpaulin of a commercial vehicle can be opened and closed easily and reliably, and which can be manufactured cost-effectively.
[0023] This object is achieved according to the invention by an openable side tarpaulin wall system having the features of independent claim 1 and by a sliding stanchion having the features of independent claim 10.
[0024] According to one aspect of the invention, an openable side tarpaulin wall system is provided for a commercial vehicle, such as a truck, a semi-trailer, a transport vehicle, a trailer, a container, a railway wagon, or the like. The openable side tarpaulin wall system comprises at least one sliding stanchion with a stanchion suspension device that is displaceable along a first chamber of a longitudinal member supported against a loading platform. Furthermore, the openable side tarpaulin wall system comprises at least one tarpaulin segment that at least partially closes a lateral opening of the commercial vehicle and is suspended via tarpaulin suspension devices that are displaceable along a second chamber of the longitudinal member. The stanchion suspension device has at least two twin support rollers. The openable side tarpaulin wall system is characterized by the fact that the stanchion suspension device comprises a guide roller located outside each of the twin support rollers in the direction of travel, each of which is arranged in the first chamber. The provision of two twin support rollers and two guide rollers in the first chamber ensures that the stanchion suspension device not only supports the mass of the sliding stanchion, but also that forces normally applied to the sliding stanchion and / or a connected tarpaulin segment, whether during loading or dynamic loads of the load while driving, are transferred via the support rollers into the respective longitudinal members.
[0025] Preferably, further twin support rollers can be arranged between the at least two twin support rollers adjacent to the guide rollers, for example one, two, three, four, five, six twin support rollers, so that the total number of twin support rollers is then three, four, five, six, seven or eight accordingly. The intermediately arranged twin support rollers increase the axial load-bearing capacity of the sliding stanchions and advantageously prevent tilting or twisting of the stanchion suspension device. Since the stanchion suspension devices advantageously run in the first chamber, there is no risk of the stanchion suspension devices colliding with the tarpaulin suspension devices. The overall package of the opened side tarpaulin is not enlarged if the stanchion suspension devices do not protrude beyond the stanchion body by more than 1.5 times the width of a tarpaulin suspension device in the direction of travel of the tarpaulin.
[0026] According to one aspect of the invention, a sliding pillar is provided for an openable side tarpaulin wall system for a commercial vehicle, such as a truck, a semitrailer, a transport vehicle, a trailer, a container, a railway wagon, or the like. The sliding pillar comprises a sliding pillar body with an upper end and a lower end, wherein the upper end of the sliding pillar body comprises a pillar suspension device, wherein the pillar suspension device comprises at least two upper twin support rollers and at least one upper guide roller. The upper support rollers and the upper guide roller are displaceable in a first chamber of a longitudinal member. The sliding pillar is characterized in that the pillar suspension device comprises a guide roller outside the twin support rollers in the direction of travel. The guide rollers ensure tilt-free displacement of the sliding pillar.Furthermore, the two guide rollers align the sliding pillar in such a way that the sliding pillar can always be moved smoothly and without tilting along the longitudinal member, even on a slight incline. In particular, the two guide rollers, each arranged at the front in the direction of travel, allow the absorption of forces acting normally on the sliding pillar. The provision of the two guide rollers at the outer position and thus with a large distance from one another prevents the occurrence of a tipping moment in the event of asymmetrical loading. Advantageously, the sliding pillar has a sliding pillar slide at one end opposite the pillar suspension device, with which it can be moved relative to a guide rail assigned to the loading platform. The sliding pillar is therefore advantageously mounted and guided at the top via the pillar suspension device and at the bottom via the sliding pillar slide.A double-ended guide for the sliding pillar advantageously supports tilt-free movement of the sliding pillar. Furthermore, the double-ended guide prevents the sliding pillar from being forced out of the guide track of a side member or guide rail in the event of horizontal forces acting on the sliding pillar. Advantageously, the sliding pillar can then also transfer forces normally exerted on the sliding pillar or a connected tarpaulin segment not only into the side member, but also into the guide rail, so that they can jointly absorb such loads. It is no longer necessary to detach the sliding pillar from a pillar base and fix it again manually. This allows the side tarpaulin to be closed very quickly. Furthermore, it is no longer necessary for the pillars to be individually locked when connected to the pillar base. There is also no longer any risk of the body being weakened by the sliding posts not being fixed in relation to the loading platform.
[0027] Preferably, the sliding pillar carriages each have at least one support roller arranged above the guide rail and at least one counter roller arranged below the guide rail. An upper and a lower support or guide roller each increase the stability and robustness of the sliding pillar. Furthermore, the sliding pillar can absorb horizontal forces without being forced out of the guide rail. In addition, the combination of support and guide roller increases the smooth running of the sliding pillar carriages when moved along the guide rail, thus preventing canting. The forces normally acting on the sliding pillars are absorbed in particular by the lower counter roller.
[0028] Preferably, the sliding stanchion has a downwardly projecting stop body at the end opposite the stanchion suspension device, which stop body is arranged on an inner side of the sliding stanchion and adjacent to the sliding stanchion carriage. In the event that a load or an obstacle in a lower area on the inner side of the sliding stanchion exerts a force against the sliding stanchion, the stop body provides additional protection against the lower sliding stanchion carriage being displaced from the guide rail. Furthermore, the stop body provides protection against damage to the sliding stanchion carriage of the sliding stanchion.
[0029] Conveniently, the at least one tarpaulin segment has tarpaulin slides at an end opposite the tarpaulin suspension devices, with which the tarpaulin segment can be displaced relative to a guide rail assigned to the loading platform. Advantageously, the tarpaulin segment, which comprises a flexible tarpaulin material, is suspended both at an upper horizontal edge and secured to a lower horizontal edge via tarpaulin slides. This advantageously ensures that the tarpaulin segment always maintains a vertically taut shape, thus preventing, for example, the tarpaulin material from flapping while the commercial vehicle is in motion. Particularly in a vertical orientation, the tarpaulin segment is taut by means of the tarpaulin suspension devices and the tarpaulin slides, ensuring a defined folding movement when the side tarpaulin wall system is opened or closed. The provision of tarpaulin slides also ensures that the tarpaulin segments are clamped with minimal play at the top via the tarpaulin suspension device and at the bottom via the tarpaulin slides. Loads acting normally on the tarpaulin segment, such as those caused by centrifugal forces acting on the load during loading with a forklift or during travel, are transferred into the second chamber of the longitudinal member or the guide rail. This advantageously ensures that these forces do not have to be transferred solely by the sliding posts.
[0030] The tarpaulin carriages expediently each have at least one support roller arranged above the guide rail and at least one counter roller arranged below the guide rail. An upper and a lower support or guide roller each increase the stability and robustness of the tarpaulin segment. Furthermore, the tarpaulin segment can absorb horizontal forces without being forced out of the guide rail. In addition, the combination of support and guide roller increases the smooth running of the tarpaulin carriages when moved along the guide rail, thus preventing tilting. The forces normally acting on the tarpaulin segment are absorbed in particular by the lower counter roller.
[0031] Conveniently, the tarpaulin slides and the sliding post slides can be moved on the same guide rail. This arrangement advantageously offers a compact, space-saving design that reduces the number of components. Furthermore, it simplifies assembly and allows the use of similar or identical components, making production more cost-effective.
[0032] According to a preferred embodiment, the at least one tarpaulin segment is arranged between two adjacent sliding posts. Sliding posts advantageously delimit a tarpaulin segment on both sides, thereby ensuring the side tarpaulin wall system's flexibility and smooth operation.
[0033] Preferably, the at least one tarpaulin segment is connected to each of the adjacent sliding stanchions. In a particularly preferred embodiment, the tarpaulin segment closes the entire lateral opening of the commercial vehicle and is thus designed in the manner of a continuous side tarpaulin. In this case, the at least one tarpaulin segment is connected to the sliding stanchions, for example, riveted, so that the sliding stanchions are moved along when the at least one tarpaulin segment is opened. This is further advantageous if the tarpaulin slides and the sliding stanchion slides are arranged so that they can be moved on the same guide rail.
[0034] The tarpaulin segment preferably has at least one edge-side connecting element, wherein the connecting element is connected to a corresponding counter-element of the sliding pillar. The tarpaulin segment can be mounted to the sliding pillar easily, intuitively, and quickly. Furthermore, in the event of a defect, the tarpaulin segment can be quickly and easily removed from the sliding pillar. This advantageously allows the tarpaulin segment to be replaced only at the affected area of the side tarpaulin wall system, eliminating the need for a time-consuming and costly replacement of the entire side tarpaulin.
[0035] The connecting element is conveniently designed as a piping. A piping connection offers a simple and readily understandable solution for assembling or disassembling a tarpaulin segment. A piping is cost-effective and can be manufactured in many variations. One advantage of a piping connection is that tensile force is evenly distributed across the entire piping rail, preventing any localized tensile load, which could lead to long-term damage to the tarpaulin segment, from acting on the tarpaulin segment. As a result, the tarpaulin segment exhibits an increased product longevity.
[0036] To simplify installation, the piping is preferably designed as a zip-fastening piping strip. A zip-fastening strip makes it easier to thread the tarpaulin segment into a piping rail at the edge.
[0037] The counter element expediently comprises at least one keder rail, preferably made of aluminum. The keder rail is necessary for a keder connection, so that the tarpaulin segment can be threaded or inserted into a groove in the keder rail at the edge. A keder connection advantageously provides a positive connection by inserting a keder into a keder rail. Furthermore, the weight of the aluminum keder rail is significantly reduced compared to steel, making journeys in the commercial vehicle more economical overall. The aluminum keder rail can be easily manufactured by the meter using extrusion, making it extremely cost-effective.
[0038] According to a preferred embodiment, the counter element is attached to the sliding pillar. Advantageously, the counter element is a separate component, which is advantageously arranged on the sliding pillar depending on the application and is attached to the sliding pillar via connecting means. This modular design offers increased ease of assembly. Furthermore, the counter element can be attached to the sliding pillar quickly and easily.
[0039] The piping rail preferably has two parallel grooves for accommodating a piping of a first tarpaulin segment and a piping of a second tarpaulin segment. A piping rail can thus accommodate two tarpaulin segments simultaneously. This advantageously promotes a compact and space-saving design. Especially with closely spaced grooves for accommodating a piping, the appearance of a continuous tarpaulin is barely interrupted, allowing the tarpaulin segments to be printed across segments, for example.
[0040] Preferably, the guide rollers are each arranged below an upper edge of the twin support rollers and above a lower edge of the twin support rollers.
[0041] The twin support rollers each advantageously have a horizontal axis of rotation. The support rollers in the first chamber are therefore advantageously arranged vertically, which allows for movement along the longitudinal beam while simultaneously ensuring that the dead weight of the sliding post is predominantly borne by the twin support rollers.
[0042] Preferably, the guide rollers each have a vertical axis of rotation. The guide rollers, which are arranged horizontally within the stanchion suspension device, always align the sliding stanchion in an optimal position during movement. This ensures smooth and jam-free movement of the sliding stanchion.
[0043] According to a preferred embodiment, the vertical axis of rotation is arranged in a plane between the two support rollers of the twin support rollers. This design and the arrangement of the respective rollers promote optimal alignment of the sliding post and tilt-free movement of the sliding post, regardless of the direction in which the sliding post is moved along the longitudinal beam. Preferably, the vertical axis of rotation is arranged exactly centrally between the two support rollers of the twin support rollers.
[0044] According to a preferred embodiment, the horizontal rotation axis of the twin support rollers is arranged below the guide rollers. This arrangement advantageously provides sufficient clearance for the guide roller to always align the sliding stanchion in an optimal position.
[0045] According to a preferred embodiment, both guide rollers are arranged flush with each other. The two guide rollers are arranged flush and in alignment with each other, thus enabling tilt-free and smooth movement of the sliding pillar.
[0046] Overall, it is advantageous that the twin support rollers are arranged vertically. The weight of the sliding pillar acts primarily on the twin support rollers, so it is advantageous to arrange the support rollers vertically. This facilitates smooth movement of the sliding pillar as well as holding or supporting the sliding pillar, as the twin support rollers can be moved along the longitudinal beam without jamming.
[0047] The guide rollers are preferably arranged horizontally. A horizontal arrangement of the guide rollers advantageously allows for optimal alignment of the sliding stanchion in the event of displacement during the opening or closing of the side tarpaulin.
[0048] According to a preferred embodiment, an outer diameter of the guide roller projects beyond a width of the twin support rollers. This advantageously prevents the support rollers from coming into contact with an inner side wall of the chamber in which the twin support rollers and the guide roller are located.
[0049] Preferably, an upper edge and a lower edge of the guide roller are chamfered and / or rounded along their outer peripheral surface. On the one hand, a rounded or chamfered outer edge of the guide roller facilitates insertion of the guide roller into the first chamber of the longitudinal member, and on the other hand, a rounded or chamfered outer edge promotes tilt-free and smooth movement of the sliding pillar.
[0050] According to one design variant, the sliding stanchion has at least one guide element, at least in sections, which extends from the edge of a sliding stanchion body of the sliding stanchion. Furthermore, the guide element is preferably oriented outwards in a direction away from the loading platform. In the event that a load located in a loading area of the commercial vehicle presses against an inner side of the side tarpaulin wall system, e.g. by slipping, the side tarpaulin wall system can be moved smoothly and easily because the sliding stanchion has guide elements. The guide elements can advantageously be guided past an obstacle or object located within the loading area. The sliding stanchion can therefore advantageously be guided past a load without jamming against it.According to another aspect of the invention, an openable side tarpaulin wall system is provided for a commercial vehicle, such as a truck, a semi-trailer, a transport vehicle, a trailer, a container, a railway wagon, or the like. The openable side tarpaulin wall system is characterized in that the tarpaulin segment has at least one edge-side connection element, and in that the connection element is connected to a corresponding counter-element of the sliding stanchion. The tarpaulin segment is advantageously simple, intuitive, and quick to install on the sliding pillar. Furthermore, in the event of a defect, the tarpaulin segment can be quickly and easily removed from the sliding pillar. This allows the tarpaulin segment to be replaced only at the affected area of the side tarpaulin wall system, eliminating the need for a time-consuming and costly replacement of the entire side tarpaulin.
[0051] The connecting element is expediently designed as a piping. A piping connection offers a simple and immediately understandable solution for assembling or disassembling a tarpaulin segment. A piping is cost-effective and can be manufactured in many variations. One advantage of a piping connection is that tensile force is evenly distributed across the entire piping rail, preventing any localized tensile loads that could lead to long-term damage to the tarpaulin segment. As a result, the tarpaulin segment has an increased product lifespan. To simplify assembly, the piping is preferably designed as a zip-fastening piping strip. A zip-fastening piping strip makes it easier to thread the tarpaulin segment into a piping rail at the edge.
[0052] The counter element expediently comprises at least one keder rail, preferably made of aluminum.
[0053] According to a preferred embodiment, the counter element is attached to the sliding pillar.
[0054] The piping rail preferably has two parallel grooves for accommodating a piping of a first tarpaulin segment and a piping of a second tarpaulin segment.
[0055] According to a preferred embodiment, an area of the tarpaulin segment outside the edge-side connecting elements is free of sliding stanchions. A first and a second tarpaulin segment are directly connected to a sliding stanchion via the counter element, so that the tarpaulin segments are arranged in one plane. The sliding stanchion is thus located behind the first and second tarpaulin segments when viewed from the outside. A transition from the first tarpaulin segment to the second tarpaulin segment is flush and seamless on an outer side facing away from the commercial vehicle. This advantageously promotes a streamlined shape of the side tarpaulin, which can advantageously save energy costs.
[0056] Adjacent tarpaulin segments are expediently connected to each other via a sliding stanchion. Advantageously, a first and a second tarpaulin segment are connected via a single sliding stanchion. In this respect, a sliding stanchion advantageously transfers a tensile force to both the first tarpaulin segment and the second tarpaulin segment, depending on the direction of travel. Furthermore, a connection via a single sliding stanchion offers a space-saving and compact design for a side tarpaulin wall system.
[0057] Overall, it is advantageous for several tarpaulin segments with sliding stanchions arranged between them to form a side tarpaulin, and for the side tarpaulin to be tensioned at the ends in order to position the movable sliding stanchions. The sliding stanchion and the tarpaulin segment advantageously form a unit, whereby, depending on the direction of displacement, tensile forces are transferred from the tarpaulin segment to the sliding stanchion on the one hand, and tensile forces can be transferred from the sliding stanchion to the tarpaulin segment on the other. When the side tarpaulin wall system is closed, the tarpaulin segments are always tensioned and arranged taut between two adjacent sliding stanchions. If the side tarpaulin is tensioned at the ends, the sliding stanchions are always moved into a specific position.
[0058] Compared to a conventional tarpaulin, which consists of a single continuous tarpaulin segment and must be guided past sliding posts or center posts fixed in the foot area, the manufacturing costs of the side tarpaulin are not significantly higher. Furthermore, the side tarpaulin can be operated similarly to a conventional side tarpaulin.
[0059] Preferably, adjacent tarpaulin segments are each connected to each other via a sliding stanchion. Furthermore, the sliding stanchions can preferably be moved into position when the tarpaulin segments are tensioned. This advantageously promotes a compact and space-saving design of the side tarpaulin wall system. Furthermore, the side tarpaulin wall system can be manufactured cost-effectively, as the number of components is reduced. The sliding stanchions are advantageously always in a defined position, ensuring reliable stability of the side tarpaulin wall system.
[0060] Preferably, adjacent tarpaulin segments are each connected to each other via a sliding stanchion, and the sliding stanchions can be moved into position when the tarpaulin segments are tensioned. This allows the tarpaulin segments and the sliding stanchions to form a force chain that, when subjected to lateral tension, transfers and distributes this force to all links of the chain. This advantageously prevents different areas of the side tarpaulin from being subjected to different tensions.
[0061] Overall, it is advantageous for several tarpaulin segments to jointly form a side tarpaulin, and for at least one edge tarpaulin segment to be connectable to a tensioning device to tension the side tarpaulin. Several tarpaulin segments arranged next to one another advantageously form a side tarpaulin, which makes it possible to completely close a side opening of the commercial vehicle. The side tarpaulin is tensioned via a tensioning device, which is advantageously arranged on a tarpaulin segment.
[0062] When the tarpaulin is closed, the tarpaulin segments are preferably arranged in a common vertical plane. The tarpaulin segments are advantageously arranged flush or seamlessly with each other. Furthermore, the tarpaulin segments are arranged parallel to each other. This enhances the external appearance, for example, if an outer side of the side tarpaulin is printed or coated with advertising and / or promotional material. Uniform spacing and flush tarpaulin segments promote an overall high-quality impression of the side tarpaulin wall system.
[0063] When tensioning the side tarpaulin, tension is conveniently introduced into the tarpaulin segments via the sliding stanchions. Because the sliding stanchions effectively absorb and transfer part of the tensile forces, the tensile forces are distributed evenly between the adjacent tarpaulin segments and the adjacent sliding stanchions. As a result, the sliding stanchions can always be moved evenly and without disruptive effects such as jamming, thus always promoting reliable opening and closing of the side tarpaulin. Furthermore, the tension also determines the positioning of the sliding stanchions.
[0064] Preferably, the sliding posts of the tarpaulin segments are moved along with the side tarpaulin when the side tarpaulin is opened. This advantageously saves a huge amount of time during the side tarpaulin opening process, as the sliding posts are automatically moved almost simultaneously with the tarpaulin segments. This provides immediate, unobstructed side access to the cargo area of the commercial vehicle.
[0065] According to a preferred embodiment, the tarpaulin segments are connected to one another exclusively via a counter element connected to the sliding pillar, which preferably has two parallel grooves. The counter element is designed as a separate component, preferably in the manner of a grooved rail made of aluminum as described above, which can be arranged at any point on the sliding pillar depending on the application and can be connected via suitable connecting means. A total of two tarpaulin segments can advantageously be connected via the two parallel piping grooves. This offers a compact and simple solution which is characterized by a high level of ease of assembly. The counter element is preferably a one-piece part which extends over the height of the tarpaulin segment, but it is also possible to provide several preferably abutting segments of counter elements instead of the one-piece part.
[0066] According to a further preferred embodiment, the tarpaulin segments have an at least predominantly continuous piping on the edge, which is received in the counter element. Furthermore, it is preferably only the piping that transmits the tensioning forces. Uniform tensioning forces advantageously act on the tarpaulin segment on the edge, as a result of which the tarpaulin segment is closed without creases. Furthermore, an interaction between a tarpaulin segment and a sliding stanchion connected to the tarpaulin segment is advantageously characterized in that any tensile forces or tensioning forces are transmitted over the entire edge connection between the sliding stanchion and the tarpaulin segment, as a result of which, on the one hand, the tarpaulin material of the tarpaulin segment is not subjected to point-like stress, and on the other hand, the sliding stanchion can always be moved in an upright position without jamming. This promotes quiet and reliable opening and closing.Closing the side tarpaulin and an increased product life of the side tarpaulin wall system.
[0067] For optimal performance, adjacent tarpaulin segments are connected to the same sliding stanchion via a connecting element on the edge of the respective tarpaulin segment. This advantageously offers a compact and space-saving design. Overall, this reduces the number of components and saves costs.
[0068] According to a further preferred embodiment, the tarpaulin segments have vertical and / or horizontal tensile reinforcements. When the side tarpaulin is opened or closed, tensile forces occur that act on the tarpaulin segments. These tensile forces could cause the respective tarpaulin segment to overstretch. In this respect, the tensile reinforcements advantageously serve to prevent the respective tarpaulin segment from overstretching and thus being damaged, thereby ensuring an extended product service life.
[0069] According to a preferred embodiment, the sliding stanchion is guided at both ends without jamming. To ensure smooth and quiet opening and closing of the side tarpaulin, the sliding stanchion can be moved in an upright position at all times.
[0070] According to one embodiment, the tarpaulin segment comprises a belt material at least in sections. The belt material advantageously increases the stability of the tarpaulin segment against possible overstretching of a tarpaulin material of the tarpaulin segment, allowing the tarpaulin segment to absorb higher tensile forces. Furthermore, the belt material advantageously gives the tarpaulin segment a defined shape. During an opening or closing process, the tarpaulin segment is always folded or unfolded in an accordion-like manner. The tarpaulin segment always maintains a uniform and identical drape, whereby the tarpaulin material is advantageously protected by the belt material. This allows the side tarpaulin wall system to be opened and closed smoothly, and the tarpaulin segment has an increased product longevity.
[0071] The tarpaulin segment expediently comprises a belt material at least in sections.
[0072] The webbing material advantageously contains aramid fibers in at least some sections. This advantageously significantly increases the stability and tensile strength of the tarpaulin segment. The tarpaulin segment can advantageously absorb and transmit even higher tensile forces, allowing the side tarpaulin wall system to be used even for the highest loads. The aramid fibers are preferably woven at least in the end areas of the webbing.
[0073] The webbing material preferably reduces the stretchability of the tarpaulin segment. Advantageously, the webbing material prevents unwanted overstretching of the tarpaulin segment, ensuring that the tarpaulin segment always maintains a precisely defined shape. Furthermore, tensile forces are predominantly transferred into the webbing material, preventing overstretching or even tearing of the tarpaulin material.
[0074] According to a preferred embodiment, the belt material is sewn and / or welded to the tarpaulin segment. Sewing and / or welding offers the advantage of ensuring particularly high stability of this connection. The tarpaulin segment is advantageously designed to be durable, safe, and reliable. Furthermore, sewing and / or welding can be carried out easily and inexpensively, thus resulting in a side tarpaulin wall system that is both economical and efficient.
[0075] According to a further preferred embodiment, the webbing material is arranged in at least one pocket of the tarpaulin segment. This type of covering of the webbing material advantageously protects the webbing material in the event of displacement of the tarpaulin segment. This increases the longevity of the connection between the webbing material and the tarpaulin segment, thereby ensuring greater overall reliability and stability by advantageously preventing chafing of the webbing material.
[0076] The webbing material is expediently connected to the tarpaulin suspension device at least in sections. Because increased tensile forces act on the tarpaulin segment in one area of the connection between the tarpaulin suspension device and the tarpaulin segment, the webbing material is advantageously used as reinforcement. This advantageously transfers tensile forces at least predominantly into the webbing material, thus relieving and protecting the tarpaulin material.
[0077] According to one embodiment, the belt material is designed as at least one belt strip. Belt strips can be easily and quickly attached to a tarpaulin segment, making production and storage cost-effective.
[0078] Overall, it is advantageous to have several strap strips connected vertically and horizontally to each tarpaulin segment. The tensile forces acting primarily on the tarpaulin segment act on the tarpaulin segment from both a horizontal and a vertical direction. By arranging the strap strips vertically and horizontally on the tarpaulin segment, tensile forces are optimally absorbed and dissipated, thereby protecting the tarpaulin segment or the tarpaulin material of the tarpaulin segment from unwanted overstretching. Furthermore, the tensile forces are optimally transferred from the tarpaulin segment to adjacent sliding posts, ensuring smooth and even opening and closing of the side tarpaulin wall system.
[0079] According to a preferred embodiment, the webbing strips are arranged in a checkerboard pattern. A checkerboard pattern offers the advantage that this geometric arrangement is simple and quick to produce, and at the same time, particularly at the intersecting points of the webbing strips, it ensures increased tensile strength and stability against tensile forces and possible overstretching of the tarpaulin segment. As a result, the tarpaulin segment has a higher load limit.
[0080] According to a further preferred embodiment, the belt strips are arranged at defined intervals from one another. To ensure that tensile forces are evenly transmitted from the tarpaulin segment and to ensure that a tarpaulin segment can be produced economically, the belt strips are spaced at a specific distance both next to one another and above one another.
[0081] The sliding stanchion preferably has at least one guide element, at least in sections, which extends from the edge of the sliding stanchion body, and the guide element is oriented outwards in a direction away from the loading platform. The guide elements are advantageously provided over the entire height of the sliding stanchion body and form a type of wedge on its two end faces pointing in the direction of travel, the wedge surface of which points away from the commercial vehicle. If the sliding stanchion is moved, the front wedge in the direction of travel is moved along the load, first with its tip furthest away from the commercial vehicle and then with the wedge surface adjoining the tip. In the case of an overhanging load, the guide element is gradually pushed away from the commercial vehicle by means of the wedge surface. At the same time, the stanchion suspension device exerts a counterforce on the load in order to move it out of the travel path. This makes it easy to overcome protruding loads without the entire sliding stanchion having to be swung away from the commercial vehicle like a pendulum.
[0082] The guide element and the sliding stanchion body are advantageously made as a single piece. This eliminates the need for complex assembly of a guide element. Furthermore, manufacturing costs are reduced. Such a single-piece part can be created, for example, by folding sheet metal.
[0083] Preferably, the guide element forms at least one wing-like edge of the sliding stanchion body in the longitudinal direction of the sliding stanchion. Advantageously, the guide element frames the entire sliding stanchion body on both sides, allowing the sliding stanchion to be successfully guided past an obstacle at any point, regardless of the sliding stanchion's displacement direction.
[0084] According to a preferred embodiment, the guide element is formed as a beveled portion of the sliding post body. Such a bevel is easy and cost-effective to manufacture. Furthermore, such a bevel offers excellent stability, allowing the sliding post to always be guided safely and reliably past obstacles during movement.
[0085] The guide element advantageously has rounded and / or chamfered outer edges. Because the sliding stanchion can come into contact with a tarpaulin segment, it is advantageous for the outer edges of the guide element to be rounded and / or chamfered. This prevents damage to the tarpaulin material of the tarpaulin segment, thus ensuring increased product durability.
[0086] Overall, it is advantageous that the guide element is beveled in such a way that it defines a hollow space. The guide element is advantageously arranged compactly and space-savingly on the sliding post body.
[0087] According to another preferred embodiment, the guide element has a triangular cross-section. On the one hand, a triangular shape is easy to manufacture, and on the other hand, the triangular shape allows the sliding stanchion to be easily guided past an obstacle in a ramp-like manner without jamming against the obstacle.
[0088] According to one design variant, the guide element has at least one blunt outer edge with a radius in the longitudinal direction. Advantageously, the sliding stanchion has no sharp or pointed outer edges, so that the tarpaulin segment cannot be damaged. This ensures reliable and safe movement of the sliding stanchion.
[0089] The guide element expediently has a smooth, outward-facing front surface in the longitudinal direction. During movement of the sliding stanchion, it may well come into contact with a tarpaulin segment, which could cause the tarpaulin material of the tarpaulin segment to become roughened or abraded over time. A smooth surface offers the advantage of protecting the tarpaulin material of the tarpaulin segment, thereby advantageously increasing the longevity of the tarpaulin segment.
[0090] The tarpaulin segment is advantageously arranged parallel to the front surface of the guide element when closed. The guide element advantageously provides shaping support for the tarpaulin segment. Furthermore, this allows the tarpaulin segment to be optimally tensioned without creating undesirable creases. Furthermore, tensile forces can be evenly transferred from the sliding stanchion to the tarpaulin segment and from the tarpaulin segment to the sliding stanchion.
[0091] When closed, the tarpaulin segment preferably rests against the front surface. The front surface of the guide element advantageously provides the tarpaulin segment with a kind of support surface, giving the tarpaulin segment a defined shape. The tarpaulin segment is advantageously arranged with smooth, wrinkle-free edges, allowing for excellent tensile force transfer. Furthermore, the guide element supports the even folding and unfolding of the tarpaulin segment, thus ensuring reliable and smooth opening and closing of the side tarpaulin wall system.
[0092] Overall, it is advantageous that the tarpaulin segment connected to the sliding stanchion has a lateral tarpaulin suspension device at its edge that overlaps the sliding stanchion. This advantageously conceals the sliding stanchions, as the respective tarpaulin segments are positioned in front of the sliding stanchions. The sliding stanchions are thus located between the cargo space and the connected tarpaulin segments. A further advantage is that when the side tarpaulin wall system is closed or tensioned, there is no need for additional locking of the sliding stanchions, which saves time when opening or closing the side tarpaulin wall system.
[0093] Preferably, the stop body is riveted and / or screwed to the sliding pillar. Depending on the application, the stop body can be quickly and easily connected to the sliding pillar. This modular design advantageously offers variable design options, ensuring high ease of assembly. According to an alternative design, the stop body is connected to the sliding pillar via a plug-in system. In this case, the stop body can advantageously be connected to the sliding pillar, for example, via a plug-in snap-in connection. The advantage is that the stop body can be quickly and easily attached to or removed from the sliding pillar without the need for tools.
[0094] Preferably, each tarpaulin carriage is arranged opposite a tarpaulin suspension device. This advantageously facilitates the desired folding of the tarpaulin segment during the opening or closing process of the side tarpaulin wall system.
[0095] According to a favorable design, however, no tarpaulin carriage is arranged opposite the lateral tarpaulin suspension device. Because a piping or connecting element is located on the edge of the tarpaulin segment, it is not necessary to arrange a tarpaulin carriage at the bottom of a horizontal edge of the tarpaulin segment, since the piping connection of the tarpaulin segment to the sliding post is sufficient to hold the tarpaulin segment in the desired shape in this area. This advantageously reduces the number of components, thus saving costs and assembly time. In particular, this makes it possible to connect the tarpaulin carriages and the sliding post carriages to the same guide rail.
[0096] According to a preferred embodiment, at least two tarpaulin slides are arranged between adjacent sliding stanchion slides. Because a tarpaulin segment has at least two tarpaulin slides, preferably at least four and generally between six and twelve tarpaulin slides, which can be moved along the guide rail, the tarpaulin segment can advantageously be moved evenly and without tilting. Furthermore, in a closed state, the tarpaulin segment is tensioned vertically by means of the tarpaulin slides, thus preventing the tarpaulin segment from flapping during travel. According to another preferred embodiment, the support rollers and / or the counter rollers are detachably connected to the respective slides by screws. This advantageously allows defective rollers to be replaced very quickly and easily in a simple manner.
[0097] Overall, it is advantageous if the support rollers and / or the counter rollers have a central running surface that is in contact with a narrow side of the guide rail, and that the support rollers and / or the counter rollers are provided with a radially projecting collar on both sides of the running surface, which can be brought into contact with a broad side of the guide rail in order to absorb horizontal forces. The support rollers or the counter rollers are designed in such a way that they can be brought into optimal contact with the guide rail and can be moved along the guide rail, whereby the tarpaulin segment and the sliding stanchion can be moved smoothly and without jamming. Furthermore, the support rollers or the counter rollers can absorb horizontal forces without the tarpaulin carriage or the sliding stanchion carriage being forced out of the guide rail. The collar can be designed perpendicular to the central running surface.Preferably, however, the collars have a small angle to the vertical in order to improve the mobility of the rollers, to be able to follow deformations of the guide rail better and to avoid jamming.
[0098] According to one embodiment, the tarpaulin segment comprises at least one tensile-resistant reinforcement strip. Advantageously, tensile forces acting on the tarpaulin segment can be diverted in a defined manner via the reinforcement strips without damaging the tarpaulin segment.
[0099] Preferably, the reinforcement strip is sewn and / or welded to the tarpaulin segment. This connects the reinforcement strip to the tarpaulin segment in a simple and cost-effective manner. According to one design variant, the reinforcement strip comprises a belt at least in sections. This combination promotes elastic expansion of the tarpaulin segment, allowing the tarpaulin segment to be equipped with different reinforcement strips depending on the application.
[0100] The tarpaulin segment expediently comprises at least one pair of reinforcement plates designed as a folding aid. The pair of reinforcement plates advantageously serves to coordinate the folding or unfolding of the tarpaulin segment during the opening or closing process of the side tarpaulin wall system.
[0101] According to a preferred embodiment, the at least one pair of reinforcement plates is welded and / or sewn to the tarpaulin segment. This provides a simple and cost-effective connection between the pair of reinforcement plates and the tarpaulin segment.
[0102] According to a further preferred embodiment, the at least one pair of reinforcement plates is made of a tarpaulin material. Advantageously, the same tarpaulin material can be used for the reinforcement plate pair as for the tarpaulin segment, thus saving costs. Furthermore, this facilitates welding to the tarpaulin segment, thereby providing a stable, integral connection.
[0103] Overall, it is advantageous for the wall thickness of at least one pair of reinforcement plates to be greater than the wall thickness of the tarpaulin segment. By providing an increased wall thickness of the reinforcement plate pair, a defined weight can be set in a lower area of the tarpaulin segment, allowing for coordinated folding and unfolding of the tarpaulin segment.
[0104] Preferably, at least one pair of reinforcement plates of the tarpaulin segment is arranged adjacent to the tarpaulin slides. This advantageously facilitates optimal folding and unfolding, and the reinforcement plate pair serves as a protective element against wear in an area of the guide rail, thus increasing the longevity of the tarpaulin segment by protecting it from chafing.
[0105] Preferably, at least one pair of reinforcement plates is assigned to each tarpaulin carriage. The pair of reinforcement plates advantageously facilitates the coordinated, even, and accordion-like folding and unfolding of the tarpaulin segment.
[0106] According to one design variant, the tarpaulin segments are printed. Advantageously, the tarpaulin segments can be coated or printed to provide advertising or publicity for a public audience on the outer side of the tarpaulin segments.
[0107] The tarpaulin segment is preferably foldable in an accordion-like manner. When opened, each tarpaulin segment advantageously folds into several folds, in particular between two and twelve folds, preferably between four and eight folds. A vertical belt of the tarpaulin segment forms a section of the fold that remains in the plane of the closed tarpaulin, and a section of the tarpaulin segment arranged between a pair of reinforcing plates forms a fold of the fold, with the folds of the folds preferably running vertically in a plane parallel to the plane of the closed tarpaulin. Uniform accordion-like folding allows for the largest possible opening to the cargo area of a commercial vehicle—provided the side tarpaulin is open. Furthermore, it facilitates the smooth opening and closing of the side tarpaulin wall system.Furthermore, coordinated folding of the tarpaulin segment increases its service life. The even accordion-like folding minimizes lateral overhang when the side tarpaulin is open.
[0108] According to a preferred embodiment, all support rollers and guide rollers of the stanchion suspension device are arranged in the first chamber. Furthermore, all support rollers of the tarpaulin suspension device are preferably arranged in the second chamber. The first chamber and the second chamber are expediently spaced apart from one another. Advantageously, the tarpaulin segment and the sliding stanchions can be guided along only one longitudinal member. This provides a compact and space-saving design. Furthermore, the sliding stanchions and tarpaulin segments can be removed or replaced independently of one another from the longitudinal member, thereby providing increased ease of assembly.
[0109] Overall, it is advantageous that the tarpaulin suspension device has a guide roller that rests against an outer wall of the longitudinal member, and that the outer wall of the longitudinal member is arranged above the first chamber. The guide roller keeps the tarpaulin segment spaced apart from the longitudinal member, preventing wear on the tarpaulin segment. This increases the product life of the tarpaulin segment because it prevents chafing of the tarpaulin material.
[0110] The tarpaulin suspension devices are preferably equipped with springs, for example by two axially guided parts being pretensioned in a tensioned direction by at least one tension spring. Advantageously, when the tarpaulin segment is displaced, potential overstretching of the tarpaulin material of the tarpaulin segment is avoided or compensated for, since the springs used in the tarpaulin suspension devices always dynamically compensate for the displacement between the tarpaulin segment and the tarpaulin suspension device. As a result, displacing the tarpaulin segment is gentle on the material and thus has a positive effect on the product's longevity. According to another preferred embodiment, the outer wall of the longitudinal member is arranged below the second chamber. This arrangement advantageously promotes optimal folding and unfolding of the tarpaulin segment.Furthermore, the tarpaulin segment is advantageously always arranged at a distance from the longitudinal member, so that the tarpaulin material does not rub against the longitudinal member on an inner side of the tarpaulin segment.
[0111] The sliding stanchion body expediently comprises at least one piping rail. This piping rail advantageously enables quick and easy attachment and connection of, for example, a tarpaulin segment or a tensioning device, each of which has a corresponding piping.
[0112] According to a preferred embodiment, the sliding stanchion body has a preferably central recess into which the at least one piping rail can be inserted. Furthermore, when the piping rail is inserted, an end face of the piping rail is expediently at least largely flush with a front face of the sliding stanchion body.
[0113] The sliding pillar is advantageously very easy to install, as the keder rail fits precisely within the recess of the sliding pillar. Furthermore, it provides a space-saving and compact sliding pillar, into which the keder rail can be integrated almost invisibly. The fact that the sliding pillar and the keder rail have a flush front surface when installed advantageously prevents chafing of a tarpaulin segment along an undesirable edge during opening or closing.
[0114] Preferably, the at least one piping rail extends over the effective height of the sliding stanchion body. This advantageously allows for savings or reductions in material and weight, thereby providing a cost-effective combination of sliding stanchion and piping rail.
[0115] The above-mentioned in connection with the inventive
[0116] The further features of the sliding posts described in the side tarpaulin wall system as well as their advantages and properties can also be realized in a sliding post according to the invention and are hereby expressly included.
[0117] According to one aspect of the invention, a method is provided for producing an openable side tarpaulin wall system for a commercial vehicle, such as a truck, a semi-trailer, a transport vehicle, a trailer, a container, a railway wagon, or the like. The method comprises providing a tarpaulin segment with an edge piping, inserting the piping into a groove of a piping rail, and attaching the piping rail to a sliding pillar. The above method has two significant advantages. Firstly, a side tarpaulin can be provided quickly, efficiently, and economically, and secondly, in the event of a defect, for example, in a tarpaulin segment or a sliding pillar, it can be easily replaced.
[0118] The method according to the invention therefore first connects the piping of the tarpaulin segments to the piping rails, thus creating a continuous chain of alternating tarpaulin segments and piping rails. Only then are the piping rails attached to the stanchion bodies of the sliding stanchions, which for this purpose can, in particular, already be arranged on the longitudinal member and / or on the guide rail. However, it is also possible to attach the piping rail to the corresponding sliding stanchion immediately after connecting the tarpaulin segments to the piping rail, which expediently has two grooves for this purpose, and then continue with the piping of the tarpaulin segment facing away from the piping rail and another piping rail.
[0119] Tarpaulin suspension devices are expediently connected to the tarpaulin segment. Tarpaulin suspension devices are preferably used to hold and move the tarpaulin segment so that the tarpaulin segment always maintains a desired shape. Furthermore, the tarpaulin suspension devices predominantly bear the tarpaulin segment's own weight. The tarpaulin suspension devices are advantageously attached before the tarpaulin segment is prepared, so that the tarpaulin segment already has the tarpaulin suspension devices before the piping is inserted. This is particularly advantageous if the tarpaulin segment comprises straps extending vertically from the tarpaulin suspension devices, as the tarpaulin suspension devices can be better connected to the straps before the tarpaulin segment is prepared. It is possible to suspend the tarpaulin segments from a longitudinal member using the tarpaulin suspension devices before its piping is inserted into the piping rail.
[0120] According to a preferred embodiment, the tarpaulin suspension devices are connected to the tarpaulin segment before inserting the keder into the groove. Pre-assembled tarpaulin segments can be connected to the side tarpaulin wall system even more quickly, thus ensuring ease of installation.
[0121] Tarpaulin slides are preferably connected to the tarpaulin segment. Connecting tarpaulin slides ensures that the tarpaulin segment is always kept in shape along the guide rail. Furthermore, flapping during travel is prevented. Furthermore, the opening and closing of the tarpaulin segment is always coordinated and smooth.
[0122] According to a further preferred embodiment, the tarpaulin slides are connected to the tarpaulin segment before the piping is inserted into the groove. To save time, a tarpaulin segment can advantageously be delivered pre-assembled with the tarpaulin slides connected, allowing for rapid replacement or connection of the tarpaulin segment to a sliding pillar. Accordingly, the tarpaulin slides can also already be pushed onto the guide rail before the piping of the tarpaulin segment is connected to the piping rail. Overall, it is advantageous to attach the piping rail to the sliding pillar by riveting. A riveting process advantageously ensures a particularly high level of stability of the connection between the piping rail and the sliding pillar.
[0123] According to one design variant, the piping is connected to the tarpaulin segment at the edges by sewing, welding, gluing, or a combination of these. The piping is attached to the tarpaulin segment using conventional methods, thus providing a cost-effective and reliable connection.
[0124] According to another preferred embodiment, the piping has a piping tab, to which the tarpaulin segment is connected at the edges via sewing, welding, gluing, or a combination thereof. A piping tab facilitates connection to the tarpaulin segment. Furthermore, the piping can advantageously be easily replaced without damaging the tarpaulin segment or its tarpaulin material.
[0125] According to another aspect of the invention, a method for producing an openable side tarpaulin wall system for a commercial vehicle, such as a truck, a semi-trailer, a transport vehicle, a trailer, a container, a railway wagon, or the like, is provided. The method comprises providing a tarpaulin segment with an edge-side keder rail having at least one groove. The method further comprises inserting a corresponding connecting element into the groove of the keder rail. Depending on the application, the tarpaulin segment can advantageously be equipped with a keder rail. The side tarpaulin wall system thus offers increased flexibility and ease of assembly.
[0126] Preferably, the keder rail is attached to the edge of the tarpaulin segment by sewing, welding, gluing, or a combination of these. The connection between the keder rail and the tarpaulin segment thus advantageously provides a stable and reliable connection. Furthermore, the connection is economical and efficient.
[0127] Overall, it's advantageous that the keder rail has a keder band, which connects the tarpaulin segment at the edges via stitching, welding, gluing, or a combination of these. When replacing the keder rail, the keder band is cut. As a result, the tarpaulin segment or its tarpaulin material is not damaged.
[0128] Preferably, the corresponding connecting element is designed as a longitudinally extending rod or tube, which is connected to a sliding pillar via a screw connection and / or welding. The corresponding connecting element is advantageously a separate component that is attached to the sliding pillar. In this respect, this method advantageously offers increased flexibility and ease of installation.
[0129] According to one embodiment, the corresponding connecting element is designed as a bevel or protrusion extending from a sliding pillar. Here, the corresponding connecting element is formed integrally with the sliding pillar. The advantage is that the number of components is reduced overall, thus reducing costs. Furthermore, a one-piece connecting element is very stable, thus providing a reliable and secure side tarpaulin wall system.
[0130] Conveniently, at least one pair of reinforcement plates designed as folding aids is sewn and / or welded to an inner and / or outer side of the tarpaulin segment. If the tarpaulin segment requires additional pairs of reinforcement plates, these can be attached to the tarpaulin segment during assembly. This advantageously increases the ease of assembly and the flexibility of the tarpaulin segment.
[0131] In the method, the sliding stop is preferably designed as described above.
[0132] As a direct product, the above manufacturing method provides a side tarpaulin wall system that is easy to manufacture, easy to operate, and reliable. Accordingly, according to one aspect of the invention, a side tarpaulin wall system is provided that is obtainable by the aforementioned method.

[0153] Fig. 20 shows a cross-section of the stanchion suspension device from Fig. 19.
[0154] Fig. 1 shows an embodiment of a side tarpaulin wall system 10. By way of example, Fig. 1 shows a side view of a commercial vehicle 11 with a semi-trailer. The side tarpaulin wall system 10 is located between a longitudinal member 14 and a guide rail 26 assigned to the loading platform 15. Furthermore, the side tarpaulin wall system 10 comprises a plurality of tarpaulin segments 16 located between vertical sliding posts 12. Fig. 1 schematically shows a first tarpaulin segment 16a and a second tarpaulin segment 16b, each of which is connected to sliding posts 12 via its vertical edge 16e.
[0155] A sliding stanchion 12 has a sliding stanchion body 12a with an upper end 12b and a lower end 12c. Each sliding stanchion 12 is connected by means of a stanchion suspension device 13, which is displaceable in a first chamber 14a, shown in Fig. 5, of a longitudinal member 14.
[0156] Furthermore, the sliding stanchion 12 has a sliding stanchion carriage 25 at its lower end 12c, which is displaceable along the guide rail 26. The sliding stanchion body 12a comprises a piping rail 22 with a double groove 22a, which is shown in Fig. 5, Fig. 8, and Fig. 9. The piping rail 22, which is attached to the sliding stanchion 12, forms the counter element 20 for a piping connection 21 with a tarpaulin segment 16.
[0157] Each tarpaulin segment 16 has an upper horizontal edge 16c and a lower horizontal edge 16d. Furthermore, each tarpaulin segment 16 comprises at least one vertical edge 16e, on which a piping 23; 24 is arranged. The piping 23; 24 of the tarpaulin segment 16 forms the connecting element 19 of the tarpaulin segment 16 with the counter element 20 of the sliding pillar 12, so that the tarpaulin segment 16 can be connected to the sliding pillar 12 via a piping connection 21.
[0158] The upper horizontal edge 16c of the tarpaulin segment 16 comprises tarpaulin suspension devices 18, and the lower horizontal edge 16d of the tarpaulin segment 16 comprises tarpaulin slides 35. As a result, the tarpaulin segment 16 is displaceable along a second chamber 14b, shown in Fig. 5, of the longitudinal member 14 via the tarpaulin suspension devices 18. Furthermore, the tarpaulin segment 16 is displaceable along the guide rail 26 via the tarpaulin slides 35. A tarpaulin suspension device 18 is described in detail, for example, in DE 202015 006 044 U1, the disclosure of which is hereby incorporated by reference. When a sliding stanchion 12, which is connected to a tarpaulin segment 16 via a piping connection 21, is displaced, a tensile force acts on the tarpaulin segment 16 along the vertical edge 16e. This tensile force is transferred to an adjacent sliding stanchion 12, so that this is also displaced, always in a direction of displacement.A combination of the protruding sliding supports 12 and tarpaulin segments 16 consequently forms an openable side tarpaulin 9 for a commercial vehicle.
[0159] To prevent the tarpaulin segment 16 from being overstretched and to ensure that the tarpaulin segment 16 has a certain stability, the tarpaulin segment 16 comprises tensile reinforcements 28; 43 which are sewn or welded into the tarpaulin segment.
[0160] The tensile reinforcements 28; 43 also have, at least in sections, straps 29; 29a. Advantageously, the tarpaulin segment 16 is protected from overstretching in the center of the tensile reinforcements 28; 43 or strap strips 29; 29a.
[0161] Furthermore, the tension reinforcements 28; 43 preferably serve as a folding aid. When the side tarpaulin wall system 10 is opened, the sliding posts 12 are displaced, and thus the tarpaulin segments 16 are also displaced. In this case, the tarpaulin segments 16 are folded together in an accordion-like manner.
[0162] Fig. 2 shows an exemplary perspective view of the side tarpaulin wall system 10. In this exemplary embodiment, it can be clearly seen that the tarpaulin segment 16 has tension reinforcements 28; 43, which are arranged in a checkerboard pattern with the tarpaulin segment 16. Furthermore, the vertical tension reinforcements 28; 43 are connected, on the one hand, in a region of the guide rail 26 to tarpaulin carriages 35 and, on the other hand, in a region of the longitudinal member 14 to tarpaulin suspension devices 18.
[0163] Fig. 3 shows an enlarged front view of a section of the
[0164] Side tarpaulin wall system 10. The tarpaulin segment 16 is arranged centrally and is framed by a sliding stanchion 12 on each of its vertical edges 16e. The upper horizontal edge 16c of the tarpaulin segment 16 is attached to tarpaulin suspension devices 18 and to lateral tarpaulin suspension devices 18a, which in turn are located in a second chamber 14b of the longitudinal member 14. The lower horizontal edge 16d of the tarpaulin segment 16 is connected to tarpaulin slides 35, which are concealed by the tarpaulin segment 16 in Fig. 3.
[0165] Both vertical edges 16e of the tarpaulin segment 16 each have a piping 23; 24 located in a groove 22a of a piping rail 22. The piping rail 22 is arranged longitudinally on a sliding stanchion 12 and fastened thereto by means of screws. A positive connection is established via the piping connection 21, so that a tensile force introduced by the sliding stanchion 12 onto the tarpaulin segment 16 can act evenly across the entire vertical edge 16e of the tarpaulin segment 16. Furthermore, a tarpaulin segment 16 can transfer the same tensile forces to the sliding stanchion 12 via the piping connection 21. The direction of displacement of the side tarpaulin 9 is important here.
[0166] Fig. 4 shows the same illustration as in Fig. 3, but without the tarpaulin segment 16. In Fig. 4, the two sliding posts 12 are completely visible in a front view, as well as the lower tarpaulin slides 35, which were previously hidden by the tarpaulin segment 16.
[0167] Each sliding stanchion 12 has so-called guide elements 30; 30a along the respective sliding stanchion body 12a in the longitudinal direction. If a load located within a loading space is moved outside the loading platform 15, the sliding stanchion 12 can be easily guided past the load during an opening or closing process using the guide elements 30.
[0168] Fig. 5 shows a section of the upper region 12b of the sliding stanchion 12. In particular, the longitudinal member 14 is clearly visible, with a section through the longitudinal member 14 being shown, so that the first chamber 14a and the second chamber 14b of the longitudinal member 14 are visible.
[0169] In Fig. 5, the sliding stanchion 12 is shown so that the stanchion suspension device 13 is visible. The stanchion suspension device 13 is located on a side facing the loading platform 15. The stanchion suspension device 13 has support rollers 33a; 33b, which are designed as twin support rollers 33 and which are displaceable in the first chamber 14a of the longitudinal member 14.
[0170] Furthermore, Fig. 5 shows the tarpaulin suspension device 18 or the lateral tarpaulin suspension device 18a with a total of two support rollers 18b, which are arranged and displaceable in a second chamber 14b of the longitudinal member 14. Furthermore, each tarpaulin suspension device 18; 18a comprises two horizontal guide rollers 18c, which are displaceable along an outer wall 14c of the longitudinal member 14. It can be clearly seen that an angled bevel 31 extends outward from the sliding stanchion body 12a, which defines the guide element 30.
[0171] Furthermore, Fig. 5 clearly shows the piping rail 22, which is arranged centrally along the sliding stanchion body 12a. The piping rail 22 comprises a double groove 22a, in which a piping 23; 24 of a tarpaulin segment 16 can be mounted on the left and right, respectively.
[0172] As a result, a first tarpaulin segment 16a and a second tarpaulin segment 16b can be connected to a sliding stanchion 12 via a first piping 23 and a second piping 24.
[0173] Fig. 6 shows a sectional view of the upper end 12b of the sliding stanchion body 12a. The longitudinal member 14 with its first chamber 14a and its second chamber 14b is clearly visible, with both chambers 14a; 14b being arranged at a distance from each other. Arranged within the first chamber 14a is the stanchion suspension device 13 with the two twin support rollers 33, which in this view have an upper edge 45 and a lower edge 46.
[0174] The sliding stanchion 12 is arranged below the stanchion suspension device 13 and is connected to the stanchion suspension device 13 in a force-locking and form-locking manner. The tarpaulin suspension device 18; 18a is located in the second chamber 14b of the longitudinal member 14. The tarpaulin suspension device 18; 18a has vertical support rollers 18b and horizontal guide rollers 18c. The horizontal guide roller 18c is guided along an outer wall 14c of the longitudinal member 14. The outer wall 14c is arranged on a side facing away from the loading platform 15.
[0175] Fig. 7 shows the lower end 12c of the sliding stanchion body 12a. At the lower end 12c, the sliding stanchion 12 has a sliding stanchion carriage 25 that is movable along the guide rail 26. The sliding stanchion carriage 25 comprises two upper support rollers 25a and a lower counter-roller 25b. The support rollers 25a and the counter-roller 25b each have a collar 25d projecting beyond a running surface 25c, so that the support rollers 25a and the counter-roller 25b can absorb horizontal forces without the support rollers 25a and the counter-roller 25b being displaced from the guide rail 26.
[0176] Furthermore, Fig. 7 shows a stop body 27, which serves as additional protection for the sliding stanchion slide 25. The stop body 27 transmits horizontal forces, which can be caused in particular by a slipped load, to the sliding stanchion body 12a, so that the sliding stanchion slide 25 of the sliding stanchion 12 is always connected to the guide rail 26 in a displaceable manner.
[0177] Fig. 8 shows the sliding pillar 12 in a top view. The sliding pillar 12 has a mirror-symmetrical shape, characterized by the C plane of symmetry E. The piping rail 22 is arranged centrally within the sliding pillar 12. The piping rail 22 has a double groove 22a into which a piping 23; 24 of a first tarpaulin segment 16a and a second tarpaulin segment 16b can be inserted. The double groove 22a of the piping rail 22 has an opening slot that extends along the piping rail 22. The respective tarpaulin segment 16 emerges from this opening slot to the left or right.
[0178] It is important that the opening slot is designed to be narrow so that the two emerging tarpaulin segments 16a; 16b have as small a gap as possible and are arranged flush with each other.
[0179] In particular, the stanchion suspension device 13 can be clearly seen in Fig. 8. The stanchion suspension device 13 has so-called twin support rollers 33, which are located to the left and right of the keder rail 22 in a vertical orientation. Each twin support roller 33 comprises a first support roller 33a and a second support roller 33b, each defining a width 39 and having an identical axis of rotation 36. Horizontal guide rollers 34 of the stanchion suspension device 13 are arranged outside in the direction of travel of the sliding stanchion 12 with respect to the twin support rollers 33. Furthermore, each guide roller 34 has a vertical axis of rotation 37. In addition, the guide rollers 34 have a larger outer diameter 38 than the width 39 of the twin support rollers 33.
[0180] Fig. 8 further shows a first embodiment of a guide element 30. The guide element 30 of the sliding stanchion 12 extends at a specific angle W from the sliding stanchion body 12a. The guide element 30 is formed as a bevel 31 with a radius R. An outer edge 32 points in a direction toward a tarpaulin segment 16.
[0181] Fig. 9 shows an upper end 12b of the sliding stanchion 12 with a
[0182] Stake suspension device 13 connected to the sliding stake body 12a.
[0183] Both the twin support rollers 33 and the guide rollers 34 of the stanchion suspension device 13 are clearly visible, since the longitudinal beam 14 is not shown in Fig. 9. The horizontal guide rollers 34 of the stanchion suspension device 13 have an upper edge 40 and a lower edge 41, which are arranged on an outer peripheral surface 42 of the guide rollers 34.
[0184] Furthermore, Fig. 9 shows a second embodiment of a guide element
[0185] 30 of the sliding stanchion 12. The guide element 30 has a total of three folds 31 from the sliding stanchion body 12a. Each fold
[0186] 31 each has a radius R. The guide element 30 is bent from the sliding stanchion body 12a at an angle W such that the guide element 30 forms a triangular cross-section that encompasses a hollow space H. The outer edges 32 are each blunt in the direction of travel. Furthermore, the guide element 30 comprises a smooth front surface 30a, which is arranged on a side facing away from the loading platform 15.
[0187] The invention works as follows: The closed and locked side tarpaulin wall system 10 is unlocked at a corresponding location, ensuring the relocatability or opening of the side tarpaulin wall system 10 or the side tarpaulin 9. Using a rod with a hook, the side tarpaulin wall system 10 can be opened manually via a belt loop. A user pulls the belt loop in an opening direction, so that the sliding posts 12 and the tarpaulin segments 16 connected to the sliding posts 12 follow the belt loop in the opening direction.
[0188] When shifted in the opening direction, the tarpaulin segments 16 are folded together like an accordion, so that the sliding stanchions 12 and the folded tarpaulin segments 16 are arranged in a corner of the commercial vehicle 11, thereby exposing a lateral opening 17 of the commercial vehicle 11. To close the side tarpaulin wall system 10, a second oppositely arranged belt loop, which is connected to another stanchion suspension device 13, is pulled manually in the other direction using the rod with a hook, so that the sliding stanchion 12 or the tarpaulin segment 16 follows the shift direction. In this process, the tarpaulin segments 16 are unfolded, again forming a smooth, flat wall. Once the entire lateral opening 17 is covered with the side tarpaulin wall system 10, the side tarpaulin wall system 10 is locked and tensioned via a locking device and, if necessary, a tensioning device. The commercial vehicle 11 is now ready to drive.
[0189] If a load has slipped within the loading space so that it represents an obstacle for the sliding stanchions 12, the sliding stanchions 12 can simply be guided past the obstacle due to their guide elements 30.
[0190] The side tarpaulin 9 or the side tarpaulin wall system 10 no longer serves simply as a cover. The side tarpaulin 9 is divided into several tarpaulin segments 16, which are directly connected to the sliding posts 12. In this way, the tarpaulin segment 16 functions as a chain link between the sliding posts 12.
[0191] In the event that a tarpaulin segment 16 is damaged, it should be replaced using the following steps, for example. First, a tarpaulin material is cut into rectangular tarpaulin segments 16, with an upper horizontal edge 16c of the tarpaulin segment 16 being assigned to a longitudinal member 14 and a lower horizontal edge 16d of the tarpaulin segment 16 being assigned to a guide rail 26.
[0192] In a next step, at least one piping 23; 24 is connected adjacent to the vertical edge 16e of the tarpaulin segment 16. This vertical edge 16e of the tarpaulin segment 16 is correspondingly assigned to the sliding stanchion 12. This is followed by inserting the piping 23; 24, which is positively or materially connected to the tarpaulin segment 16, into a groove 22a of a piping rail 22. The piping rail 22, which is connected to the tarpaulin segment 16, is then fastened to the sliding stanchion 12 using rivets or screws.
[0193] The upper horizontal edge 16c of the tarpaulin segment 16 is connected to the tarpaulin suspension devices 18; 18a. The tarpaulin suspension devices 18; 18a are suspended in a second chamber 14b of the longitudinal member 14 and are displaceable along the longitudinal member 14.
[0194] In a final step, the tarpaulin segment 16 is connected to the tarpaulin slides 35, which can be moved along the guide rail 26 assigned to the loading platform 15. The entire side tarpaulin wall system 10 is constructed in a modular manner, allowing individual components to be exchanged and replaced very easily and quickly.
[0195] Furthermore, automation of the side tarpaulin wall system 10 is possible, so that the side tarpaulin wall system 10 can be opened and closed automatically via a computer control.
[0196] Fig. 10 shows an alternative embodiment of an openable side tarpaulin wall system 100 for a commercial vehicle 110, in which a wrinkle-free inner surface 91 of a closed side tarpaulin 90 is shown, wherein the inner surface 91 of the side tarpaulin 90 faces a loading platform 150 shown as a dashed line. In contrast to the previous embodiments, the side tarpaulin 90 of Fig. 10 does not have individual tarpaulin segments. The side tarpaulin 90 is now designed as a one-piece, continuous side tarpaulin 90 or comprises only a single tarpaulin segment forming the side tarpaulin 90.
[0197] Fig. 11 shows an enlarged section of the closed side tarpaulin wall system 100 from Fig. 10. The side tarpaulin 90 according to Fig. 10 and Fig. 11 has an upper horizontal edge 90a which is assigned to a longitudinal member 140. The side tarpaulin 90 comprises tarpaulin suspension devices in a region of the upper horizontal edge 90a which are connected to the longitudinal member 140 or can be displaced along the longitudinal member 140, although the tarpaulin suspension devices are not shown in Fig. 10 or Fig. 11. Furthermore, the side tarpaulin 90 has a lower horizontal edge 90b opposite the upper horizontal edge 90a, which is assigned to the loading platform 150 or a guide rail 260.
[0198] Furthermore, the side tarpaulin wall system 100 shown in Fig. 10 and Fig. 11 comprises a plurality of sliding stanchions 120, each with a sliding stanchion body 120a having an upper end 120b and a lower end 120c, wherein the sliding stanchions 120 are displaceable along the longitudinal member 140 and along the opposite guide rail 260, which is fastened to the loading platform 150, via stanchion suspension devices and via sliding stanchion slides, wherein, however, the stanchion suspension devices and the sliding stanchion slides are not shown in Fig. 10 and Fig. 11.
[0199] Furthermore, the side tarpaulin 90 has fastening elements 190, such as Velcro fasteners, on the inner surface 91, which are arranged, among other things, in an upper, a central, and a lower region of the side tarpaulin 90. Furthermore, the side tarpaulin 90 is riveted to the sliding posts 120.
[0200] To enable the side tarpaulin 90 to be folded or unfolded accordion-like during an opening or closing process of the side tarpaulin wall system 100, the side tarpaulin 90 has triangular plates 440 arranged along the upper edge 90a of the side tarpaulin 90. The triangular plates 440 are thus designed as a tarpaulin folding aid. Furthermore, the side tarpaulin 90 has metal strips 430 made of a steel material, which are arranged in horizontally aligned pockets in the longitudinal direction of the side tarpaulin 90, wherein the metal strips 430 assist in the folding and unfolding of the side tarpaulin 90. The metal strips 430 are thus arranged parallel to the longitudinal member 140 and parallel to the guide rail 260 when the side tarpaulin 90 is in the closed state.
[0201] To provide the side tarpaulin 90 with good mechanical stability, which protects the side tarpaulin 90 from tearing, the side tarpaulin 90 has vertical straps 290 as a tensile reinforcement 280. The straps 290 are sewn to the side tarpaulin 90, wherein the straps 290 comprise an aramid fiber-reinforced strap material. Furthermore, the side tarpaulin 90 is connected in a region along the lower horizontal edge 90b of the side tarpaulin 90 via the vertical straps 290 to tarpaulin slides 350, which are connected to the guide rail 260 of the loading platform 150 and can be displaced along the guide rail 260. Furthermore, the side tarpaulin 90 is riveted to the tarpaulin slides 350. The straps 290 are thus arranged parallel with respect to the sliding stanchions 120 when the side tarpaulin 90 is closed. In addition, two triangular plates 440 are arranged between each two adjacent vertical belts 290.
[0202] Fig. 12 shows a cross-section of the longitudinal member 140, which has a first chamber 140a and a second chamber 140b. Within the first chamber 140a of the longitudinal member 140, two twin support rollers 330 of the stanchion suspension device 130 are displaceably arranged in series. Each twin support roller 330 comprises a first support roller 330a and a second support roller 330b. Furthermore, two guide rollers 340 of the stanchion suspension device 130 are displaceably arranged within the first chamber 140a. In the direction of travel of the sliding stanchion 120, the guide rollers 340 are each located outside the twin support rollers 330. Thus, the arrangement of the twin support rollers 330 and the guide rollers 340 of the stanchion suspension device 130 corresponds to the previous exemplary embodiments. Furthermore, the stanchion suspension device 130 has a bent portion 131 which is riveted to the sliding stanchion body 120a at the upper end 120b of the sliding stanchion 120.
[0203] As a result, the sliding stanchion 120 is arranged in the longitudinal member 140 via the stanchion suspension device 130 and is guided displaceably along the longitudinal member 140.
[0204] A support roller 180b of the tarpaulin suspension device 180 is displaceably arranged within the second chamber 140b of the longitudinal member 140. Furthermore, the tarpaulin suspension device 180 comprises a guide roller 180c that is displaceable along an outer wall 140c of the longitudinal member 140. The tarpaulin suspension device 180 further comprises a slotted receptacle into which the vertical strap 290 is looped and in turn sewn to the side tarpaulin 90. As a result, the side tarpaulin 90 is arranged on the longitudinal member 140 via the tarpaulin suspension devices 180 and is displaceably guided along the longitudinal member 140.
[0205] Fig. 13 shows a perspective view of an enlarged section of the guide rail 260, which is connected to the loading platform 150 of the commercial vehicle 110. The guide rail 260 comprises at least one removable guide rail segment 261, which is secured against falling out by two securing elements 264.
[0206] The mounted guide rail segment 261 is aligned and flush with the remaining guide rail 260, allowing the tarpaulin slides 350 and the sliding stanchion slides 250 to be moved smoothly, without jamming, and without friction. The purpose of the removable guide rail segment 261 is to allow the sliding stanchion slides 250 and the tarpaulin slides 350 to be threaded out via a gap in the guide rail 260, for example, to raise the roof of the commercial vehicle 110 without damaging the sliding stanchions 120 and the side tarpaulin 90.
[0207] Furthermore, Fig. 13 shows the lower end 120c of the sliding stanchion body 120a of the sliding stanchion 120 with the connected sliding stanchion carriage 250, wherein an upper support roller 250a and a lower counter roller 250b of the sliding stanchion carriage 250 can be seen. Here, the upper support roller 250a is arranged on top of a narrow side of the guide rail 260, wherein the lower counter roller 250b is arranged on an opposite lower narrow side of the guide rail 260. The sliding stanchion carriage 250 comprises a total of two support rollers 250a arranged in series and two counter rollers 250b arranged in series, which are riveted to the sliding stanchion body 120a of the sliding stanchion 120 by means of a fastening plate 251.
[0208] Furthermore, a front section of an end stop body 271 can be seen behind the upper support roller 250a.
[0209] Fig. 14 shows a perspective view of a section of the guide rail 260 with the removed guide rail segment 261, which has a first pin 262 and an opposite second pin 263, wherein the first pin 262 and the second pin 263 each extend orthogonally from the same broad side of the guide rail segment 261 in the same direction. It can be seen here that the guide rail segment 261 is designed as an elongated flat piece with a rectangular cross-section. Furthermore, the first pin 262 and the second pin 263 each have a cylindrical shape, wherein the first pin 262 and the second pin 263 are welded to the guide rail segment 261.
[0210] Furthermore, the first pin 262 has a first bore 262a, and the second pin 263 has a second bore 263a, wherein the first bore 262a and the second bore 263a are each arranged transversely to a longitudinal axis of the first pin 262 and to a longitudinal axis of the second pin 263, respectively.
[0211] To mount the guide rail segment 261 on the commercial vehicle 110, the first pin 262 of the guide rail segment 261 is inserted into a first receptacle 265a of a first fastening element 265. Furthermore, the second pin 263 of the guide rail segment 261 is inserted into a second receptacle 266a of a second fastening element 266.
[0212] The first fastening element 265 and the second fastening element 266 are connected to the loading platform 150 of the commercial vehicle 110 via a screw or rivet connection, wherein the first fastening element 265 and the second fastening element 266 each have a cuboid-shaped body, wherein one longitudinal side of the first fastening element 265 and the second fastening element 266 are arranged parallel with respect to the loading platform 150.
[0213] The first receptacle 265a of the first fastening element 265 has a through-hole 265b arranged transversely to the first receptacle 265a. The second receptacle 266a of the second fastening element 266 has a second through-hole 266b arranged transversely to the second receptacle 266a. The first pin 262 and the second pin 263 of the guide rail segment 261 are thus inserted into the first receptacle 265a and into the second receptacle 266a of the first fastening element 265 and the second fastening element 266 via a plug-in connection. The first hole 262a of the first pin 262 and the first hole 265b of the first receptacle 265a of the first fastening element 265 are aligned. Furthermore, the second bore 263a of the second pin 263 and the second bore 266b of the second receptacle 266a of the second fastening element 266 are arranged in alignment. Thus, a securing element 264, which is designed as a spring pin, can be inserted into the aligned bores 262a, 265b; 263a; 266b in order to prevent unwanted disintegration of the guide rail segment 261.
[0214] Fig. 15 shows a top view of a cross-section of the sliding stanchion body 120a of the sliding stanchion 120, wherein an upper section of the sliding stanchion carriage 250 can be seen, wherein two support rollers 250a of the sliding stanchion carriage 250 can be seen, which rest with their running surface 250c on the guide rail 260. The guide rail 260 is laterally connected to a wall of the loading platform 150 of the commercial vehicle 110 and the guide rail 260 extends in the longitudinal direction of the loading platform 150. Furthermore, the sliding stanchion carriage 250 is connected to the sliding stanchion body 120a by means of rivets 500.
[0215] The sliding stanchion body 120a has an omega-shaped profile 121 in the center, from which a first V-shaped profile section 122 extends laterally in the longitudinal direction and from which a second V-shaped profile section 123 extends laterally opposite, wherein a first V-opening 124 of the first V-shaped profile section 122 and a second V-opening 125 of the second V-shaped profile section 123 are directed towards one another, and wherein the first V-shaped profile section 122 and the second V-shaped profile section 123 are arranged away from the loading platform.
[0216] Furthermore, the sliding stanchion body 120a is formed symmetrically along a longitudinal bisecting plane E', wherein the sliding stanchion body 120a has, on each side in the direction of travel x, a guide element 300 formed as a bevel 310 with a radius R', which extends from the lower end 120c to the upper end 120b of the sliding stanchion body 120a. Furthermore, the guide element 300 of the sliding stanchion body 120a forms an angle W with the loading platform 150.
[0217] The running surface 250c of the support roller 250a is arranged between two protruding collars 250d, wherein the collars 250d of the support roller 250a each laterally enclose the guide rail 260 so that when forces occur that act on the sliding stanchion 120 perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the guide rail 260, the support rollers 250a of the sliding stanchion carriage 250 cannot slip laterally away from the guide rail 260 or derail.
[0218] Fig. 16 shows in a perspective view an inner surface 350a of the
[0219] Tarpaulin carriage 350, wherein a support roller 351 of the tarpaulin carriage 350 rests on top of the guide rail 260. The tarpaulin carriage 350 comprises a first clamping element 352 and a second clamping element 353, which are each detachably connected to the tarpaulin carriage 350 by means of screws 501. The first clamping element 352 and the second clamping element 353 are formed as flat pieces made of a steel material with a rectangular cross-section. The first clamping element 352 and the second clamping element 353 each have a broad side and a narrow side, wherein the broad side of the first clamping element 352 and the second clamping element 353, respectively, is arranged parallel to the inner surface 350a of the tarpaulin carriage 350. Between the inner surface 350a of the tarpaulin slide 350 and the first clamping element 352 or the second clamping element 353, the belt 290, which is designed as a tensile reinforcement 280 and is shown in dashed lines, is frictionally connected via a clamp.
[0220] Fig. 17 shows in a perspective view the lower end 120c of the sliding stanchion 120 with the connected sliding stanchion carriage 250, wherein a stop body 270 protrudes from the sliding stanchion body 120a, which is aligned in a direction towards the loading platform 150 of the commercial vehicle 110.
[0221] The stop body 270 is formed as a U-shaped flat piece of steel material with a base 270a connecting a first leg 270b and a second leg 270c. The first leg 270b and the second leg 270c are riveted to the sliding stanchion body 120a, and the base 270a of the stop body 270 protrudes downward from the sliding stanchion body 120a, so that the stop body 270 is arranged perpendicularly with respect to the loading platform 150. The first leg 270b and the second leg 270c of the stop body 270 are each shown in dashed lines.
[0222] Furthermore, an end stop body 271 is arranged between the support roller 250a of the sliding stanchion carriage 250 and the stop body 270. The end stop body 271 is formed as a flat piece of steel material with a rectangular cross-section, wherein the end stop body 271 has a broad side and a narrow side, and wherein the end stop body 271 is arranged parallel to the stop body 270. Furthermore, the end stop body 271 has a first end face 271a and an opposite second end face 271b, wherein the first end face 271a and the second end face 271b are each chamfered in a V-shape, so that the first end face 271a and the second end face 271b are each formed in the shape of a cutting edge. This facilitates threading of the end stop body 271 between the support rollers 250a of the sliding post carriage 250 and the stop body 270 when the sliding post 120 is displaced.A position of the end stop body 271 in an area of the loading platform 150 corresponds to an end position of the sliding stanchion 120 assigned to the end stop body 271 when the side tarpaulin 90 is completely closed.
[0223] Thus, the sliding stanchion 120 is very well secured in the ready-to-drive end position against occurring horizontal forces that run essentially perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the loading platform 150 and that act on an inner side 121 of the sliding stanchion 120. In the event that forces act on an inner side 121 of the sliding stanchion 120, the stop body 270 strikes the end stop body 271, so that, among other things, the support rollers 250a of the sliding stanchion carriage 250 are not damaged.
[0224] Fig. 18 shows a side view of the sliding stanchion body 120a and the sliding stanchion carriage 250 of the sliding stanchion 120, wherein the sliding stanchion carriage 250 comprises two upper support rollers 250a arranged in series and two opposite lower counter rollers 250b arranged in series, wherein the upper support rollers 250a and the lower counter rollers 250b are of identical design.
[0225] The guide rail 260 is arranged between the upper support rollers 250a and the lower counter rollers 250b and is connected to the loading platform 150 of the commercial vehicle 110 via a screw connection. A first clamping jaw 272 and a second clamping jaw 273 are arranged between the guide rail 260 and the loading platform 150. These clamping jaws secure the end stop body 271, after which the end stop body 271 is thus fixedly connected to the guide rail 260 and the loading platform 150, respectively. The end stop body 271 is arranged between the first clamping jaw 272 and the second clamping jaw 273.
[0226] Furthermore, the loading platform 150, the first clamping jaw 272, the second clamping jaw 273, the end stop body 271, and the guide rail 260 each have at least one bore. The loading platform 150, the first clamping jaw 272, the second clamping jaw 273, the end stop body 271, and the guide rail 260 are arranged such that the respective bores are aligned with one another, so that a screw 501 is inserted into the bores, whereby the loading platform 150, the first clamping jaw 272, the second clamping jaw 273, the end stop body 271, and the guide rail 260 are connected to one another via a screw connection.
[0227] Furthermore, the stop body 270 of the sliding stanchion 120 can be seen, which is arranged between the end stop body 271 and the loading platform 150 and which projects from the sliding stanchion body 120a in a downward direction towards the first clamping jaw 272.
[0228] Fig. 19 shows schematically in a perspective rear view an alternative stanchion suspension device 130 for a sliding stanchion 120, which is connected to an upper end 120b of the sliding stanchion body 120a of the sliding stanchion 120 via four screw connections by means of screws 501.
[0229] The stanchion suspension device 130 comprises an elongated stanchion suspension device body 131 formed as a flat piece, from which a first tab 132 and a second tab 133 extend downward in the same direction toward the sliding stanchion body 120a. The first tab 132 and the second tab 133 are shown in dashed lines. Furthermore, the stanchion suspension device body 131, the first tab 132, and the second tab 133 are made in one piece from a steel sheet, with production taking place via a laser cutting process. Furthermore, the stanchion suspension device body 131 comprises a broad side 131a and a narrow side 131b, wherein the broad side 131a of the stanchion suspension device body 131 is arranged parallel to the sliding stanchion body 120a. Furthermore, the stanchion suspension device 130 is designed to be mirror-symmetrical with respect to a central longitudinal bisecting plane E' of the sliding stanchion body 120a of the sliding stanchion 120.
[0230] The first tab 132 and the second tab 133 of the
[0231] Stanchion suspension device 130 is clamped within the sliding stanchion body 120a, wherein an attachment of the stanchion suspension device 130 to the sliding stanchion body 120a is explained in more detail below with reference to Fig. 20.
[0232] The stanchion suspension device 130 now comprises six vertical twin support rollers 330, which are arranged in series one after the other along the stanchion suspension device body 131, wherein in each case a support roller 330a; 330b of the twin support roller 330 is arranged on a broad side 131a of the stanchion suspension device body 131, so that the stanchion suspension device body 131 is designed as a partition wall, which is arranged in each case between the first support roller 330a and the second support roller 330b of the respective twin support roller 330.
[0233] The stanchion suspension device body 131 has a first end 134 and an opposite second end 135 in the longitudinal direction, wherein a horizontal guide roller 340 is arranged at the first end 134 and at the second end 135 of the stanchion suspension device body 131 in the direction of travel of the sliding stanchion 120. All twin support rollers 330 are arranged between the two horizontal guide rollers 340, wherein the two guide rollers 340 are further secured to a respective pin by means of a securing pin 341. Furthermore, the stanchion suspension device 130 comprises four so-called wear blocks 600. The support rollers 330a; 330b of the twin support rollers 330 work their way into the running surface of the first chamber 140a of the longitudinal member 140, which is made of aluminum, when the side tarpaulin 90 is closed during ferry operation of the commercial vehicle 110 due to vibrations and due to the dead weight of the sliding stanchion 120.
[0234] Over time, this creates a localized dent in the running surface of the longitudinal member 140. In order to prevent the support rollers 330a; 330b of the twin support rollers 330 from being pushed further into the running surface, so-called wear blocks 600 are fastened to the stanchion suspension device body 131 of the stanchion suspension device 130 via a screw connection using screws 501. As a result, the wear blocks 600 rest with an underside on the running surface of the longitudinal member 140 from a defined dent depth of, for example, 1 mm, so that further progressive pushing of the support rollers 330a; 330b of the twin support rollers 330 into the running surface is prevented. The wear blocks 600 therefore have the function of supporting the support rollers 330a; 330b of the twin support rollers 330 in ferry operation. 330b of the twin support rollers 330 to carry or support.
[0235] The wear blocks 600 are each arranged between two first support rollers 330a of the respective twin support rollers 330 and / or between two second support rollers 330b of the respective twin support rollers 330.
[0236] Furthermore, the wear blocks 600 are made of a plastic material, so that the wear blocks 600 can preferably be manufactured cost-effectively using an injection molding process. However, the wear blocks 600 can also be made of a steel material. The wear blocks 600 are each cuboid-shaped, with one broad side of the wear block 600 arranged longitudinally parallel to the stanchion suspension device body 131. Fig. 20 shows a cross-sectional view of the stanchion suspension device 130 along the line XX-XX from Fig. 19. This shows the first tab 132 of the stanchion suspension device 130, which extends downward from the stanchion suspension device body 131 toward the sliding stanchion body 120a of the sliding stanchion 120.
[0237] Furthermore, the first bracket 132 is connected to the sliding stanchion body 120a via a screw connection using screws 501. For this purpose, the bracket 132 is arranged parallel between a double clamping plate, which comprises a first clamping plate 700 and a second clamping plate 701, and a third clamping plate 702.
[0238] The sliding stanchion body 120a, the first clamping plate 700, the second clamping plate 701, and the tab 132 each have an opening 703 into which a screw 501 with an externally threaded portion can be inserted in a direction transverse to the longitudinal direction of the sliding stanchion body 120a. The third clamping plate 702 has an internally threaded bore 704, so that the screw 501 with the externally threaded portion is mounted within the internally threaded bore 704 in a force-locking and form-locking manner by the external thread of the screw 501 engaging the internal thread of the internally threaded bore 704. For this purpose, the respective openings 703 and the corresponding internally threaded bore 704 are arranged in alignment.
[0239] The second tab 133 is mounted to the sliding stanchion body 120a in a manner similar to the first tab 132. The first tab 132 and the second tab 133 each include two screws 501 for secure attachment to the sliding stanchion body 120a, with the first tab 132 and the second tab 133 each being clamped to the sliding stanchion body 120a.
[0240] The invention has been described above with reference to several exemplary embodiments. It is understood that the features of the exemplary embodiments can also be combined individually or collectively, which combinations are hereby expressly stated as part of the disclosure of the present application.
