Description

[0001] Panel arrangement and rail vehicle

[0002] The invention relates to a cladding arrangement, in particular for a rail vehicle, with at least one first cladding part and at least one connecting device for connecting the cladding arrangement to at least one device to be at least partially cladding, in particular for connecting the cladding arrangement to a running gear for a rail vehicle to be at least partially cladding and / or to a car body for a rail vehicle to be at least partially cladding, and to a rail vehicle.

[0003] There is often a need to reduce the mass of mechanical components, for example, in the field of rail vehicle technology. Compliance with ecological assessment criteria for the manufacture and use of components, vehicles, etc. is often also required. Lightweight components (e.g., cladding parts for rail vehicles) can be made of aluminum, glass fiber, or carbon fiber materials.

[0004] WO 2014 / 206643 A1, for example, is known from the prior art, which shows a rail vehicle with a covered chassis. A covering arrangement comprises a plurality of covering parts.

[0005] Furthermore, WO 2019 / 120508 A1 discloses a cladding arrangement for a vehicle which has an emergency arresting device.

[0006] Furthermore, WO 2019 / 161888 A1 describes a panel arrangement for a vehicle which has a bearing device with at least three bearings.

[0007] In addition, EP 2 368 781 A1 shows an impact protection for a chassis of a rail vehicle, wherein an impact energy absorbing element can be formed in a wooden material.

[0008] The invention is based on the object of providing a cladding arrangement with reduced mass that is further developed compared to the prior art.

[0009] According to the invention, this object is achieved with a cladding arrangement according to claim 1, in which the at least first cladding part is formed in a layered material with wood or from wood, wherein the at least one connecting device is connected to the at least first cladding part.

[0010] The layered material can be, for example, a veneer layered material made of wood or a hybrid material in which, for example, at least one wood layer is connected to at least one metal layer (e.g. an aluminum layer), etc.

[0011] This results in a lightweight cladding that also offers high component strength, damping properties, and a customized geometry. It also achieves a high degree of environmental compatibility and recyclability.

[0012] Furthermore, the fairing arrangement can achieve low-drag flow conditions in the area of the fairing arrangement.

[0013] Further advantageous embodiments of the cladding arrangement according to the invention emerge from the subclaims.

[0014] A reduction in fire risk is achieved if the laminated material is functionalized, whereby at least the first cladding part has fire protection. Functionalization of the laminated material can, for example, be achieved by impregnating layers of the laminated material with a fire retardant (e.g., with a phosphate-based fire-protection salt for impregnating wood-based materials with a test certificate according to DIN 4102-1, B1 - "flame-retardant" and classification reports according to EN 13501-1 (B-s2 / sl, dO), which is suitable for transport applications) or by chemically modifying the laminated material (e.g., by carbonizing the surface of a layer of the laminated material).

[0015] An improvement in the strength and vibration properties of the first cladding part is obtained if at least the first cladding part has a varying wall thickness.

[0016] To improve the aerodynamic properties of the fairing arrangement, it can be helpful if at least the first fairing part is curved or designed with a varying inclination.

[0017] A resistant formwork of the first cladding part and / or a high dimensional accuracy of the first cladding part are / is made possible if the at least first cladding part is at least partially clad with metal.

[0018] If the cladding arrangement is used, for example, on a rail vehicle, the first cladding part can be metallically clad in an area or areas in which the distance to a clearance boundary is small, etc.

[0019] A lightweight formwork of the first cladding part is achieved if at least the first cladding part is at least partially clad with aluminum.

[0020] Stable connection properties of the cladding arrangement (e.g. for connecting the cladding arrangement to a rail vehicle) are achieved if the at least first cladding part has at least one first coupling zone for connecting the at least one connecting device to the at least first cladding part, wherein in the at least first coupling zone at least one metallic first insert is inserted into at least one first recess of the at least first cladding part.

[0021] A favorable solution is achieved if the at least first insert is arranged at least partially adjacent to a surface of the at least first covering part which is offset from a base surface or a cover surface of the at least first covering part.

[0022] This measure ensures precise positioning of the first insert in the first recess. Furthermore, the first insert can be recessed into the first recess, for example, thereby avoiding sharp-edged protrusions of the first insert and / or reducing the susceptibility of the first trim part and / or the first insert to weathering.

[0023] A redundant connection between the first insert and the first covering part is obtained if a frictional connection and a material connection are formed between at least the first insert and at least the first covering part.

[0024] For coupling the cladding arrangement (e.g. with a rail vehicle), it can be helpful, for example, if at least the first insert has at least one hole for a screw or a bolt.

[0025] A metallic lightweight insert is realized when at least the first insert is made of aluminum.

[0026] A promising field of application for the cladding arrangement according to the invention can be developed with a rail vehicle having at least one cladding arrangement according to the invention.

[0027] An aerodynamic improvement and / or a lightweight enclosure in a chassis area and / or in a car body area can be achieved if at least one chassis of the rail vehicle and / or at least one car body of the rail vehicle is / are at least partially covered with the at least one cladding arrangement.

[0028] The cladding arrangement according to the invention, the rail vehicle according to the invention and a manufacturing method are explained in more detail below using exemplary embodiments.

[0038] Fig. 9: A flow chart for an exemplary embodiment of a method for producing a cladding arrangement according to the invention.

[0039] Fig. 1 shows an oblique view of the underside of a first covering part 1 of an exemplary first embodiment of a covering arrangement according to the invention for a rail vehicle, as shown by way of example in Fig. 8. The first covering part 1 is designed as part of an underbody covering for a running gear 7 of the rail vehicle. By means of the first covering part 1, an underside of the running gear 7 can be covered in the region of a first wheel set 8 of the running gear 7 and a first drive (not shown) of the running gear 7.

[0040] The first cladding part 1 is made of a laminated material made of wood in the form of a veneer laminate material with a plurality of layers (in Fig. 3, a first layer 10, a second layer 11 and a third layer 12 are shown by way of example).

[0041] In order to meet the fire protection requirements required for rail vehicles (e.g., according to European Standard (EN) 45545, Hazard Level (HL) 2), the individual layers of the veneer laminate are impregnated with a non-toxic and environmentally friendly fire retardant (a well-known, phosphate-based fire-protection salt for impregnating wood materials; test certificate DIN 4102-1, B1 - "flame-retardant"; classification reports according to EN 13501-1 (B-s2 / sl, dO); suitable for transport applications). The laminate material is thus functionalized, providing the first cladding part 1 with fire protection.

[0042] The layers are bonded together under pressure using a manufacturing process as described by way of example in connection with Fig. 9 and simultaneously shaped into a desired contour. The first trim part 1 is partially curved and partially formed with a varying inclination.

[0043] For example, a first section 13 of the first trim part 1 has a curvature, a second section 14 of the first trim part 1 has a first inclination and a third section 15 of the first trim part 1 has a second inclination, wherein the first inclination and the second inclination have different angles of inclination.

[0044] Furthermore, the first trim part 1 is partially covered with metal, using an aluminum sheet. An aluminum cladding is provided, for example, in a fourth section 16 of the first trim part 1.

[0045] The first fairing part 1 further comprises at least a first coupling zone 17, a second coupling zone 18 and a third coupling zone 19, wherein in the first coupling zone 17 a metallic first insert 21 of the fairing arrangement made of aluminum is inserted into a first recess 24 of the first fairing part 1 and wherein in the second coupling zone 18 a metallic second insert 22 of the fairing arrangement made of aluminum is inserted into a second recess 25 of the first fairing part 1.

[0046] The metallic first insert 21, as also shown by way of example in Fig. 6, is designed as an aluminum console which is screwed to the first trim part 1. In addition, the first insert 21 is glued into the first trim part 1. Thus, a force-fit connection and a material connection are formed between the first insert 21 and the first trim part 1.

[0047] The metallic second insert 22 is designed in the same way as the first insert 21 with regard to material, manufacturing principles and functionality.

[0048] The first cladding part 1 can be connected to a first anti-roll device (also called a roll stabilizer) of the rail vehicle via the first coupling zone 17 and the second coupling zone 18.

[0049] In the third coupling zone 19, a first metal profile 27 and a second metal profile 28 of the fairing arrangement, as shown by way of example in Fig. 7, are screwed to the first fairing part 1. The first fairing part 1 can be connected to the first drive of the chassis 7 via the first metal profile 27 and the second metal profile 28, which are connecting devices of the fairing arrangement for connecting the fairing arrangement to the chassis 7.

[0050] In Fig. 2, an oblique view of an upper side of an exemplary second embodiment of a cladding arrangement according to the invention for a chassis 7 of a rail vehicle, as shown by way of example in Fig. 8, is shown.

[0051] The cladding arrangement comprises a first cladding part 1, a second cladding part 2 and a third cladding part 3, which form an underbody cladding for the chassis 7.

[0052] The fairing arrangement can be used to cover an underside of the landing gear 7. The first fairing part 1 can be arranged below a first wheel set 8 of the landing gear 7 and a first drive (not shown) of the landing gear 7, and the second fairing part 2 can be arranged below a second wheel set 9 of the landing gear 7 and a second drive (not shown) of the landing gear 7.

[0053] The third covering part 3 can be used to cover the underside of the chassis 7 between the first wheel set 8 and the second wheel set 9.

[0054] The first covering part 1, the second covering part 2, and the third covering part 3 are made of a veneer laminated material made of wood, as described by way of example in connection with Fig. 1 and Fig. 3.

[0055] The first cladding part 1 has a first coupling zone 17 and a second coupling zone 18 for a first anti-roll device of the rail vehicle. The first coupling zone 17 is described in more detail in connection with Fig. 6. The second coupling zone 18 is designed in the same way as the first coupling zone 17 with regard to its structural, manufacturing and functional principles. The first cladding part 1 can be coupled to the first anti-roll device via the first coupling zone 17 and the second coupling zone 18.

[0056] The first covering part 1 further comprises a third coupling zone 19, via which the first covering part 1 can be connected to the first drive of the landing gear 7. The third coupling zone 19 is described in more detail in connection with Fig. 7.

[0057] The first fairing part 1 is described in more detail in connection with Fig. 1. The second fairing part 2 is designed in the same way as the first fairing part 1 with regard to its structural, manufacturing and functional principles.

[0058] The third fairing part 3, like the first fairing part 1 and the second fairing part 2, is made of a veneer laminated material made of wood, as described by way of example in connection with Fig. 1. In a fourth coupling zone 20 of the third fairing part 3, the third fairing part 3 is connected to a partially metallic first attachment 30 of the fairing arrangement; in further coupling zones of the third fairing part 3, the third fairing part 3 is connected to further partially metallic attachments of the fairing arrangement. The third fairing part 3 can be connected to a landing gear frame (not shown) of the landing gear 7 via the first attachment 30 and the further attachments, which is why the first attachment 30 and the further attachments are connecting devices of the fairing arrangement for connecting the fairing arrangement to the landing gear 7.

[0059] By means of the first attachment 30, the cladding arrangement can, for example, also be connected to a car body 31 of the rail vehicle to be cladding, wherein the first attachment 30 functions as a connecting device of the cladding arrangement for connecting the cladding arrangement to the car body 31.

[0060] The first attachment 30 is described in more detail in connection with Fig . 4 .

[0061] With regard to their connecting functions between the third fairing part 3 and the chassis frame, the first attachment 30 and the further attachments are designed according to the same principles.

[0062] Fig. 3 discloses a side view of a section of an exemplary third embodiment of a cladding arrangement according to the invention in a sectional view for a rail vehicle, as shown by way of example in Fig. 8.

[0063] The cladding arrangement comprises a first cladding part 1, a second cladding part 2 and a third cladding part 3, as shown by way of example in Fig. 2, wherein, as shown by way of example in Fig. 1, in a first coupling zone 17 of the first cladding part 1, a metallic first insert 21 of the cladding arrangement is inserted into a first recess 24 of the first cladding part 1 and in a second coupling zone 18 of the first cladding part 1, a metallic second insert 22 of the cladding arrangement is inserted into a second recess 25 of the first cladding part 1.

[0064] A first metal profile 27 and a second metal profile 28 of the cladding arrangement, as shown by way of example in Fig. 7, can be coupled to the first cladding part 1 via a third coupling zone 19 of the first cladding part 1, shown by way of example in Fig. 1, in order to connect the first cladding part 1 to a first drive (not shown) of a chassis 7 of the rail vehicle.

[0065] Fig. 3 shows a metallic third insert 23 of the fairing arrangement, which is inserted in a fourth coupling zone 20 of the third fairing part 3 into a third recess 26 of the third fairing part 3. A partially metallic first attachment 30, as shown by way of example in Fig. 2 and Fig. 4, can be connected to the third fairing part 3 via the third insert 23 in order to connect the third fairing part 3 to a chassis frame of the chassis 7.

[0066] The third insert 23 is arranged adjacent to a surface 33 of the third covering part 3 which is offset from a base surface 32 of the third covering part 3.

[0067] The third insert 23 is designed as an aluminum console and is screwed to the third fairing part 3 by means of a first countersunk head screw 34, a second countersunk head screw 35 and further countersunk head screws in combination with threaded inserts. In addition, the third insert 23 is glued into the third fairing part 3. A frictional connection and a material connection are therefore formed between the third insert 23 and the third fairing part 3. This holds the third fairing part 3 in position if the first countersunk head screw 34, the second countersunk head screw 35 and / or the further countersunk head screws fail. The third insert 23 further comprises a first through-hole 36 with a first countersunk hole, a second through-hole 37 with a second countersunk hole and further through-holes with further countersunk holes, via which the first attachment 30 can be connected to the third fairing part 3.Screws or bolts can be passed through the first through hole 36, the second through hole 37 and the other through holes.

[0068] The third cladding part 3 is made of a laminated wood material designed as a veneer laminate. In order to meet the fire protection requirements required for rail vehicles (e.g., according to European Standard (EN) 45545, Hazard Level (HL) 2), a first layer 10 of the veneer laminate, a second layer 11 of the veneer laminate, a third layer 12 of the veneer laminate, and further layers of the veneer laminate are each impregnated with a non-toxic and environmentally friendly fire retardant (a well-known, phosphate-based fire-protection salt for impregnating wood materials; test certificate DIN 4102-1, B1 - "flame-retardant"; classification reports according to EN 13501-1 (B-s2 / sl, dO); suitable for transport applications). The laminated material is thus functionalized, providing the third cladding part 3 with fire protection.

[0069] The first layer 10, the second layer 11, the third layer 12 and the further layers are glued together under pressure by means of a manufacturing process as described by way of example in connection with Fig. 9 and at the same time shaped into a desired contour. Fig. 4 shows an oblique view of an exemplary fourth embodiment of a cladding arrangement according to the invention in a sectional view for a rail vehicle, as shown by way of example in Fig. 8. The cladding arrangement comprises a first cladding part 1, a second cladding part 2 and a third cladding part 3, as shown by way of example in Fig. 2. The cladding arrangement further has a first coupling zone 17, a second coupling zone 18 and a third coupling zone 19, as shown by way of example in Fig. 1 and Fig. 2, and a fourth coupling zone 20, as shown by way of example in Fig. 2 and Fig. 3.Furthermore, the cladding arrangement comprises a first insert 21 and a second insert 22, as shown by way of example in Fig. 1, as well as a third insert 23, as is also shown by way of example in Fig. 3.

[0070] The third insert 23 is inserted into the third covering part 3. A partially metallic first attachment 30 is connected to the third insert 23, via which first attachment the third covering part 3 can be coupled to a chassis frame of a chassis 7 of the rail vehicle. The first attachment 30 comprises a multiply curved sheet metal arrangement 38, via which the first attachment 30 is screwed to the third covering part 3 via a first screw 39, a second screw 40 and further screws not visible in Fig. 4. A metallic first spacer 41, through which the first screw 39 and the second screw 40 are guided, is arranged between the sheet metal arrangement 38 and the third covering part 3.Arranged upwardly from the sheet metal arrangement 38 is a second spacer 42 of the first attachment 30, which is formed from an elastomer and encases a threaded bolt 43 of the first attachment 30, wherein the threaded bolt 43 is also arranged so as to protrude upwardly from the sheet metal arrangement 38. A flange nut 44 of the first attachment 30 is arranged on the threaded bolt 43. The first attachment 30 can be coupled to the chassis frame in a spacing region 45 of the threaded bolt 43 between the second spacer 42 and the flange nut 44.

[0071] The third cladding part 3 is made of a veneer laminated material made of wood, as described by way of example in connection with Fig. 1 and Fig. 3.

[0072] The third covering part 3 has a varying wall thickness. Thus, the third covering part 3 is formed with a greater wall thickness in a first region of the third insert 23 than outside the first region (in a second region shown to the left of the first region in Fig. 4, the third covering part 3 has a smaller wall thickness than in the first region).

[0073] In Fig. 5, an oblique view of a detail of that exemplary second embodiment of a cladding arrangement according to the invention, as shown in Fig. 2, for a rail vehicle, as shown by way of example in Fig. 8, is shown.

[0074] Fig. 5 shows a first panel part 1 of the panel assembly, which is designed as an underbody panel part for a chassis 7 of the rail vehicle. Connected to the first panel part 1 are a curved first stiffening rib 46, which is arranged parallel to a longitudinal axis 47 of the first panel part 1, and further stiffening ribs, which are arranged parallel and transverse to the longitudinal axis 47.

[0075] Fig. 6 discloses a side view of a section of an exemplary fifth embodiment of a cladding arrangement according to the invention in a sectional view for a rail vehicle, as shown by way of example in Fig. 8. The cladding arrangement is designed as an underbody cladding for a chassis 7 of the rail vehicle.

[0076] The cladding assembly comprises a first cladding part 1, which has a first coupling zone 17, via which the first cladding part 1 is connected to a first anti-roll device of the rail vehicle. In the first coupling zone 17, a metallic first insert 21, as described by way of example in connection with Fig. 1 and Fig. 3, is inserted into a first recess 24 of the first cladding part 1.

[0077] A metallic bearing bracket 48 is screwed to the first insert 21 and is arranged so as to protrude upwards from the first covering part 1.

[0078] The bearing bracket 48 has a cylindrical opening 49 into which an elastic bearing 50 for a torsion bar of the first anti-roll device is inserted.

[0079] The bearing bracket 48 is a connecting device for connecting the fairing arrangement to the chassis 7, since the first anti-roll device can be connected to the chassis 7.

[0080] The first cladding part 1 is made of a veneer layer material made of wood, as described by way of example in connection with Fig. 1 and Fig. 3.

[0081] Fig. 7 shows an oblique view of a section of an exemplary sixth embodiment of a cladding arrangement according to the invention for a rail vehicle, as disclosed by way of example in Fig. 8.

[0082] The cladding arrangement comprises a first cladding part 1 with a first coupling zone 17 and a second coupling zone 18, as shown by way of example in Fig. 1. The first cladding part 1 further comprises a third coupling zone 19, via which the first cladding part 1 can be connected to a first drive (not shown) of a running gear 7 of the rail vehicle. In the third coupling zone 19, a first metal profile 27 of the cladding arrangement and a second metal profile 28 of the cladding arrangement are clamped to the first cladding part 1 by screwing. A third metal profile 29 is in turn screwed to the first metal profile 27 and the second metal profile 28. The third metal profile 29 is placed on the first metal profile 27 and the second metal profile 28.The first metal profile 27, the second metal profile 28, and the third metal profile 29 are strip-shaped and arranged to protrude upwards from the first cladding part 1. A first pendulum support 51 and a second pendulum support 52 are pivotally mounted to the third metal profile 29. The first drive can be pivotally coupled to the first pendulum support 51 and the second pendulum support 52.

[0083] The first metal profile 27, the second metal profile 28, the third metal profile 29, the first pendulum support 51 and the second pendulum support 52 are connecting devices for connecting the fairing arrangement to the chassis 7.

[0084] The first cladding part 1 is made of a veneer laminated material made of wood, as described by way of example in connection with Fig. 1 and Fig. 3.

[0085] Fig. 8 shows a side view of a section of an exemplary embodiment of a rail vehicle according to the invention with a car body 31 and a chassis 7, wherein the car body 31 is supported on the chassis 7. The chassis 7 comprises a first wheel set 8 and a first drive (not shown) which drives the first wheel set 8, as well as a second wheel set 9 and a second drive (not shown) which drives the second wheel set 9.

[0086] The chassis 7 and the car body 31 are partially covered by an exemplary seventh embodiment of a cladding arrangement according to the invention. A first cladding part 1 of the cladding arrangement, a second cladding part 2 of the cladding arrangement, and a third cladding part 3 of the cladding arrangement, which are not visible in Fig. 8 and are shown by way of example in Fig. 2, form an underbody cladding of the chassis 7.

[0087] A fourth covering part 4 of the covering arrangement forms a side covering of the chassis 7 .

[0088] A roof area of the car body 31, in which a roof equipment of the car body 31 not visible in Fig. 8 is arranged, is covered by means of a fifth covering part 5 of the covering arrangement.

[0089] An underfloor area of the car body 31, in which underfloor equipment of the car body 31 (not visible in Fig. 8) is arranged, is covered by a sixth covering part 6 of the covering arrangement. The sixth covering part 6 functions as a skirt covering part of the rail vehicle.

[0090] The fourth covering part 4 and the sixth covering part 6 are curved at the bottom (into the image plane of Fig . 8).

[0091] The fifth covering part 5 is curved at the top (into the image plane of Fig . 8).

[0092] According to the invention, however, it is also conceivable that the fourth cladding part 4, the fifth cladding part 5 and / or the sixth cladding part 6 are formed, at least in sections, with inclined surfaces of different angles of inclination, etc. The first cladding part 1, the second cladding part 2, the third cladding part 3, the fourth cladding part 4, the fifth cladding part 5 and the sixth cladding part 6 are made of a veneer layer material made of wood, as described by way of example in connection with Fig. 1 and Fig. 3.

[0093] Fig. 9 shows a flow chart for an exemplary embodiment of a method for producing a cladding arrangement according to the invention, as shown by way of example in Fig. 1 to Fig. 8.

[0094] In a first step 53 of the process, layers of a wood laminated material designed as a veneer laminate are impregnated with a fire retardant to functionalize the laminated material. For this purpose, the individual layers are immersed in an aqueous solution containing an impregnating agent (a well-known, phosphate-based fire retardant salt for impregnating wood materials; test certificate DIN 4102-1, B1 - "flame-retardant"; classification reports according to EN 13501-1 (B-s2 / sl, dO); suitable for transport applications). This achieves fire protection for the cladding assembly.

[0095] In a second process step 54 of the process, an adhesive is then applied to the layers.

[0096] In a third process step 55, the layers are treated with steam, particularly water vapor, to form a contour. For this purpose, the layers are vapor-coated using a steam generator.

[0097] In a fourth process step 56, the layers are bonded together under pressure using a pressing tool and shaped into the contour. The pressing tool into which the layers are inserted has this contour. The contour can, for example, be curved or straight, or comprise straight lines with different angles of inclination, etc. If thin layers are used in the process, complex, three-dimensional surfaces can also be formed. By using a local, temporary modification (for example, by treating the layers with steam, as described in connection with the third process step 55), radii of curvature of just a few millimeters can also be implemented.

[0098] It is also conceivable that the third method step 55 and the fourth method step 56 are carried out simultaneously or alternately, etc.

[0099] In a fifth method step 57, the layers are then connected to a connecting device for connecting the cladding arrangement to a device to be clad. In the exemplary embodiment of a method according to Fig. 9, the connecting device is a bearing bracket 48, as shown by way of example in Fig. 6. The layers are screwed to this bearing bracket 48 via a metallic first insert 21, as shown for example in Fig. 6. In the exemplary embodiment of a method according to Fig. 9, the device to be clad is a chassis 7 of a rail vehicle, as shown by way of example in Fig. 8. However, it can also be a car body 31 of the rail vehicle, etc.
