Abstract
Description
[0001] 32773 / 34 / ss 20230919 1 Clamping device The present invention relates to a clamping device with an elongated guide rail and a first pressure arm fixed immovably to the elongated guide rail and a second pressure arm mounted displaceably along the guide rail in a relaxed operating state, wherein a pressure piece is mounted on the second pressure arm so as to be movable, in particular displaceable, in the relaxed operating state and an eccentric cam is pivotally mounted by means of a pivoting lever fixed to the eccentric cam, wherein the pressure piece is movable, in particular displaceable, in order to clamp an object between the first pressure arm and the pressure piece by pivoting the eccentric cam in the direction towards the first pressure arm. Furthermore, the invention also relates to various uses of such a clamping device. Generic clamping devices are known in a large number of embodiments. As an example, DE 1 927 817 A1 is cited here, which shows a corresponding clamping device referred to as a screw clamp. The object of the invention is to further develop clamping devices of the type mentioned above, in particular for their use in immersion baths or during anodizing or coating processes. In the invention, based on a generic clamping device, it is provided that the second pressure arm has a pressure arm housing with a receiving channel for the guide rail to pass through. The pressure arm housing creates an advantageous possibility for the storage and arrangement of the pressure piece and the eccentric cam. It is particularly preferably provided that the eccentric cam is pivotally mounted in an interior space of the pressure arm housing. It is also advantageous if the pivot lever is fixed to the eccentric cam in the interior space of the pressure arm housing and is guided outwards through a pivot lever opening in the pressure arm housing.Furthermore, it is advantageous if the pressure piece is supported on the eccentric cam in the interior of the pressure arm housing and is guided to the outside through a pressure piece opening in the pressure arm housing. It is preferably provided that the pressure arm housing has or is formed from at least two half-shells which can be non-destructively connected to one another and separated from one another again, preferably by means of at least one snap-in connection. This makes it particularly easy to disassemble and reassemble the pressure arm housing and also the clamping device, for example in order to replace individual worn parts and to continue using parts of the clamping device which are not yet worn. By forming the pressure arm housing from at least two half-shells which can be separated from one another, the eccentric cam and / or the pressure piece, for example, can be replaced in a simple manner. The term “half-shells” is to be understood in a general way.It says nothing about the size ratio and the number of half-shells. Since there can be more than two half-shells, one could also generally speak of partial shells. The half-shells can also be a basic housing with at least one cover or the like. In order to save material in the design of the guide rail, while still making it sufficiently stable, the guide rail can be designed with a framework-like structure. In this sense, preferred variants of the invention provide for the guide rail to have an arrangement of bracing ribs and / or for the guide rail to be delimited by a frame-like structure. In order to securely hold the second pressure arm, which is mounted so as to be displaceable along the guide rail, in position in an operating state in which an object is clamped by the clamping device, particularly preferred variants of the invention provide that the guide rail has a toothing for positive engagement with a counter-toothing on the second pressure arm. It is particularly preferably provided that the guide rail is mounted with play in the receiving channel of the pressure arm housing. It is advantageous if the second pressure arm with its pressure arm housing is mounted on the guide rail so that it can pivot back and forth between a relaxed operating state in which the toothing is not in engagement with the counter-toothing, and an operating state intended for clamping the object, in which the toothing engages with the counter-toothing.It is therefore advantageously provided that the guide rail, in the relaxed operating state, is mounted with play, preferably pivotably, in the receiving channel of the pressure arm housing of the second pressure arm. Preferred variants of the invention also provide that the guide rail, in its region adjacent to the first pressure arm, has a support surface for the object to be clamped that is wider than the rest of the guide rail. The object to be clamped can be securely supported in the clamping device on this widened support surface when clamped. To avoid notch stresses, it is advantageously provided that a preferably rounded, groove-shaped depression is formed between the first pressure arm and the widened support surface. As a loss protection, an elastically deflectable stop for striking against a counter-stop on the guide rail can be formed on the second pressure arm.The counter-stop is preferably formed at an end of the guide rail opposite the first pressure arm. The interaction of the stop with the counter-stop prevents the second pressure arm from accidentally slipping off the guide rail in the relaxed operating state. By designing the stop as an elastically deflectable stop, the second pressure arm can then, if actually desired, be pulled off the guide rail by deflecting the stop and later pushed back onto it. There are basically various measures for holding the eccentric cam in an end position intended for clamping the object between the first pressure arm and the pressure piece. For example, it is possible to pivot the eccentric cam past a corresponding dead center. Another possibility would be to hold the eccentric cam in this end position using appropriate frictional forces.Particularly preferred variants, however, provide that the second pressure arm has a locking device for locking the eccentric cam in an end position intended for clamping the object between the first pressure arm and the pressure piece. The locking of the locking device then also provides the operator of the clamping device with haptic and / or acoustic feedback that the eccentric cam for clamping the object between the pressure arm and the pressure piece has now safely reached its end position. Advantageously, it is in any case provided that the locking device can be engaged and disengaged exclusively by actuating the pivoting lever. Preferred variants of the invention provide that a support surface of the pressure piece for the object to be clamped is wider than a support surface of the first pressure arm for the object to be clamped, preferably at least twice as wide as the support surface of the first pressure arm for the object to be clamped.Particularly preferably, the support surface of the pressure piece is at least two and a half times as wide as the support surface of the first pressure arm for the object to be clamped. Viewed in a plan view, the support surface of the first pressure arm is advantageously located in a central region of the support surface of the pressure piece. In said plan view, the support surface of the pressure piece preferably protrudes the same distance on both sides beyond the support surface of the first pressure arm. In preferred embodiments, the width of the support surface of the first pressure arm is a maximum of 9 mm. In preferred variants, the first pressure arm can have a trapezoidal cross-section. The maximum width of the pivot lever, measured in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal extent of the guide rail, is advantageously greater than or equal to the width of the guide rail and preferably less than or equal to the width of the pressure arm housing. In order to enable pain-free operation of the pivoting lever by the operating personnel even after numerous actuations, the width of the actuating surface of the pivoting lever is advantageously at least 1 cm, preferably at least 1.2 cm. In preferred embodiments of the invention, the pressure piece has a bevelled contact surface for contact with the object to be clamped. A contact body of the pressure piece, on which this bevelled contact surface is formed, is preferably thicker at its end pointing away from the guide rail than at its end pointing towards the guide rail. The contact body can be designed as a separate contact body which can be connected to the rest of the pressure piece, for example by a snap-in connection, a material connection, a force-fit connection or also by a form fit. The contact body can be made, for example, from TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane). The support body can also be connected in one piece with the rest of the pressure piece. The support body can also be designed as a titanium tip. In addition to the clamping device per se, the invention also relates to the use of a clamping device according to the invention for clamping an object during a coating process, a dipping process, or an anodizing process. Particularly when used in an anodizing process, it is advantageous in this context if the guide rail and / or the first pressure arm and / or the second pressure arm are made of plastic, preferably glass bead reinforced and / or glass fiber reinforced, preferably polyamide. An alternative to the aforementioned plastic is the use of titanium for at least some of the aforementioned components of the clamping device.Advantageously, it is also provided that a cam contact surface, with which the eccentric cam rests on the pressure piece, and a pressure piece contact surface, with which the pressure piece rests on the cam contact surface of the eccentric cam, are rounded and / or adapted to one another in terms of their shape. With regard to the uses mentioned, it is particularly advantageous if the cam contact surface and the pressure piece contact surface wipe off any liquid adhering to one another during the relative movement. Further preferred embodiments of clamping devices provide, in particular for such uses, that the guide rail and / or the first pressure arm and / or the second pressure arm has or have through-openings.Through the through-openings, liquids used during the coating, dipping, or anodizing process can quickly drain away from the clamping device, thus preventing them from being deposited as residues on the clamping device. Further features and details of preferred embodiments of the invention are explained below using examples of exemplary embodiments of clamping devices according to the invention. They show: Figs. 1 to 4 show illustrations of the first embodiment of a clamping device according to the invention in a relaxed operating state; Figs. 5 to 8 show illustrations of the first embodiment of the clamping device according to the invention in an operating state in which an object is clamped; Fig. 9 shows an exploded view of this first embodiment of the clamping device according to the invention; Fig. 10 shows a view of the pressure arm housing of this first embodiment; Fig. 11 shows area E from Figs.4 and 8 enlarged; Fig. 12 to 14 show a second exemplary embodiment of a clamping device according to the invention in the relaxed operating state; Fig. 15 to 17 show illustrations of this second exemplary embodiment in an operating state in which an object is clamped; Fig. 18 is an exploded view of this second exemplary embodiment of a clamping device according to the invention, and Fig. 19 is an illustration of the pressure arm housing of this second exemplary embodiment. Fig. 1 shows the first exemplary embodiment of a clamping device 1 according to the invention in a relaxed operating state. The clamping device 1 has an elongated guide rail 2 and a first pressure arm 3 which is immovably fixed to the elongated guide rail 2. In addition, the clamping device 1 also comprises a second pressure arm 4 which is mounted so as to be displaceable along the guide rail 2 in the relaxed operating state shown in Figs. 1 to 4.On the second pressure arm 4, a pressure piece 5 is again movable, in particular displaceably mounted, in the relaxed operating state. In other exemplary embodiments, the pressure piece 5 could also be pivotably or otherwise movably mounted on the second pressure arm 4. Fig. 4 shows a longitudinal section along the section line BB shown in Fig. 3 through this first exemplary embodiment of a clamping device 1 in the relaxed operating state. Fig. 4 shows the eccentric cam 6 with the pivoting lever 7 fixed thereto. The pivoting lever 7, together with the eccentric cam 6, is pivotally mounted on the second pressure arm 4. The pressure piece 5 is movable, in this case displaceable, in order to clamp an object 8 (not shown in Figs. 1 to 4) between the first pressure arm 3 and the pressure piece 5 by pivoting the eccentric cam 6 in the direction towards the first pressure arm 3. According to the invention, the second pressure arm 4 has a pressure arm housing 9 with a receiving channel 10.The guide rail 2 is guided through this receiving channel 10 in the pressure arm housing 9. As the sectional view according to Fig. 4 in particular shows, the eccentric cam 6 is pivotally mounted in the interior 11 of the pressure arm housing 9. The pivot lever 7 is fixed to the eccentric cam 6 in the interior 11 and guided outwards through a pivot lever opening 12 in the pressure arm housing 9. The pressure piece 5 is supported on the eccentric cam 6 in the interior 11 of the pressure arm housing 9 and guided outwards through a pressure piece opening 13 in the pressure arm housing 9. In particular, the exploded view according to Fig. 9 as well as the detailed view in Fig. 10 show that the pressure arm housing 9 in this exemplary embodiment is formed from two half-shells 15 that can be non-destructively connected to one another and separated from one another again. Of course, the pressure arm housing 9 could also have more than two half-shells or partial shells 15. Conveniently, the half shells are 15 and 16 mm respectively. In any case, as implemented here, the partial shells can be non-destructively connected to one another by means of at least one locking connection 14 and can also be separated from one another again non-destructively. The locking connections 14 and the parts from which they are formed can be seen particularly well in Fig. 10. In Figs. 1 and 4 it can also be clearly seen that the guide rail 2 in this exemplary embodiment, as in other preferred embodiments, has a lattice-like structure. Specifically, the guide rail 2 has an arrangement of bracing ribs 16. In addition, the guide rail 2 is delimited by a frame-like structure 17. Between the bracing ribs 16 and the frame-like structure 17, the through-openings 18 arranged in the guide rail 2 can also be clearly seen in Figs. 1 and 4. Such through-openings 18 are also arranged in the first pressure arm 3 and in the second pressure arm 4 and in the pressure arm housing 9.These ensure that, when the clamping device 1 is used in immersion baths, during anodising processes or during coating processes, liquids can run off the clamping device 1 relatively quickly and do not settle there. In addition, this grid-like structure with the bracing ribs 16 and the frame-shaped structure 17 has the advantage that the guide rail 2 can be constructed with relatively little material and yet is still very stable. In this first exemplary embodiment, the guide rail 2 has a toothing 19 on each of two opposite sides. These toothings 19 serve to positively engage with mating toothings 20 formed on the second pressure arm 4 or on the pressure arm housing 9. The mating toothings 20 can be seen in the sectional view according to Fig. 4. The guide rail 2 is in the embodiment shown in Fig.1 to 4, the pressure arm housing 9 is mounted with play in the receiving channel 10 of the pressure arm housing 9 of the second pressure arm 4. This position allows the pressure arm housing 9 and thus the second pressure arm 4 to be moved along the guide rail 2. For this purpose, in this exemplary embodiment, the pressure arm housing 9 is brought into the forward-pivoted position shown in Figs. 1 to 4. In this position, the teeth 19 of the guide rail 2 and the counter-teeth 20 on the second pressure arm 4 or on the pressure arm housing 9 are not in engagement with one another, so that the second pressure arm 4 can be moved back and forth along the guide rail 2. The opposite position of the second pressure arm 4 or the pressure arm housing 9, in which the teeth 19 and the counter-teeth 20 are in engagement with one another, is explained further below with reference to Figs. 5 to 8. In particular, in the view according to Fig.3 shows that in this first exemplary embodiment of a clamping device 1 according to the invention, the guide rail 2, in its region adjacent to the first pressure arm 3, has a support surface 21 which is wider than the rest of the guide rail 2. The object 8 to be clamped can rest against this support surface 21 and can thus be fixed particularly securely. Advantageously, a groove-shaped, preferably rounded, depression 33 is located between this widened support surface 21 and the first pressure arm 3. This prevents the formation of stress peaks in the region between the support surface 21 and the first pressure arm 3. The plan view according to FIG. 3 also clearly shows that the first pressure arm 3 has a trapezoidal cross-sectional shape in this preferred exemplary embodiment. In this context, it should also be noted that in this first exemplary embodiment, the support surface 26 of the pressure piece 5 is also wider than the support surface 27 of the first pressure arm 3. It can also be seen that in this exemplary embodiment, the support surface 26 of the pressure piece 5 for the object 8 to be clamped is at least twice as wide as the support surface 27 of the first pressure arm 3 for the object 8 to be clamped. In this exemplary embodiment, too, the support surface 26 of the pressure piece 5 projects approximately the same distance on both sides beyond the support surface 27 of the first pressure arm 3. In Fig. 1 and in particular in Fig. 2, which shows the enlarged area A from Fig. 1, it can be seen that in preferred embodiments, the support surface 26 of the pressure piece 5 is designed to be beveled so as to fall downwards towards the guide rail 2.In other words, the support body 34 of the pressure piece 5 for the object 8 to be clamped has a smaller thickness on the side facing the guide rail 2 than on the side facing away from the guide rail 2. This can also be seen particularly clearly in Fig. 2. In the exploded view according to Fig. 9, it can be seen that in this first exemplary embodiment, the support body 34 is designed to be removable from the remaining pressure piece 5. It can be seen in Fig. 9 that in this specific exemplary embodiment, a snap-in connection is provided for attaching the support body 34 to the remaining pressure piece 5. Of course, the support body 34 could also be made in one piece with the pressure piece 5 or attached to the pressure piece 5 in another suitable manner, e.g. by means of a material fit, friction fit, or form fit.3 it can be seen that in this exemplary embodiment the maximum width of the actuating surface of the pivoting lever 7 corresponds to the width of the pressure arm housing 9. As explained at the beginning, it is preferably provided that the maximum width of the actuating surface of the pivoting lever 7 is greater than or equal to the width of the guide rail 2 but also less than or equal to the width of the pressure arm housing 9. If one now looks again at the sectional view according to Fig. 4 and in particular the view into the interior 11 of the pressure arm housing 9, one can see that the cam contact surface 28, with which the eccentric cam 6 rests on the pressure piece 5, and also the pressure piece contact surface 29, with which the pressure piece 5 rests on the cam contact surface 28 of the eccentric cam 6, are each rounded. These can be rounded free surfaces, for example.Through their shape, the force-displacement profile required for actuating the pressure piece 5 by means of the eccentric cam 6 when pivoting the eccentric cam 6 and thus when clamping the object 8 to be clamped between the first pressure arm 3 and the second pressure arm 4 or the pressure piece 5 can be formed in the desired manner. In any case, the cam contact surface 28 and the pressure piece contact surface 29 are designed to be adapted to one another in their shape so that they wipe off any liquids adhering to them when the eccentric cam 6 is pivoted together with the pivot lever 7. Figs. 5 to 8 show the first embodiment of the clamping device 1 according to the invention in an operating state in which an object 8 is clamped between the first pressure arm 3 and the pressure piece 5. Fig. 6 shows the area C from Fig. 5 and thus the contact of the clamped object 8 on the support surface 26 of the pressure piece 5 or.of the support body 34 in detail. Fig. 7 shows a plan view with the section line DD. Fig. 8 shows the section along the section line DD through this clamping device 1 in the operating state in which the object 8 is clamped between the first pressure arm 3 and the second pressure arm 4 or its pressure piece 5. If one compares Fig. 1 and 4 on the one hand with Fig. 5 and 8 on the other, one can first see that the pivoting lever 7 in the clamped operating state according to Figs. 5 to 8 is pivoted in the direction towards the guide rail 2, which also necessarily results in a corresponding pivoting of the eccentric cam 6. As a result of this pivoting of the eccentric cam 6, the pressure piece 5 is displaced in the direction towards the first pressure arm 3, as a result of which the object 8 is clamped between the first pressure arm 3 and the pressure piece 5.During this pivoting movement of the pivot arm 7, in this exemplary embodiment, as well as in other preferred variants, the pressure arm housing 9 is pivoted backward on the guide rail 2 from the position shown in Figs. 1 and 4 to the position shown in Figs. 5 and 8. As a result, the toothings 19 on the guide rail 2 engage with the counter-toothings 20 on the pressure arm housing 9 in the manner shown in Fig. 8. Due to this positive connection between the toothings 19 and the counter-toothings 20, the pressure arm housing 9 and thus the entire second pressure arm 4 is immovably locked on the guide rail 2. As already explained at the beginning, the eccentric cam 6 can be held in its end position reached for clamping the object 8 between the first pressure arm 3 and the second pressure arm 4 by various measures.Advantageously, however, as is also implemented here in this first exemplary embodiment, the second pressure arm 4 is provided with a locking device 25 for locking the eccentric cam 6 in the end position provided for clamping the object 8 between the first pressure arm 3 and the pressure piece 5. Fig. 4 shows the disengaged position. Fig. 8 shows the engaged position of the locking device 25. In this exemplary embodiment, the locking device 25 is engaged and disengaged solely by a corresponding pivoting of the pivot lever 7. Therefore, no further measures or aids are necessary to engage and disengage the locking device 25. A further advantage of the locking device 25 is that it engages in the position shown in Fig.8 generates a haptically perceptible and / or audible signal for the operator of the pivoting lever 7, whereby the operator knows that the engaged end position of the eccentric cam 6 has now been reached, in which the object 8 is securely clamped between the first pressure arm 3 and the pressure piece 5 of the second pressure arm 4. On the second pressure arm 4, and here specifically on the pressure arm housing 9, an elastically deflectable stop 22 for striking the counter-stop 23 on the guide rail 2 is also formed in this first exemplary embodiment of the clamping device 1 according to the invention. The counter-stop 23 is advantageously located, as also implemented here, at the end 24 of the guide rail 2 opposite the first pressure arm 3. The interaction of the stop 22 and the counter-stop 23 is a type of loss protection. It prevents the second pressure arm 4 with the pressure arm housing 9 from accidentally slipping off the guide rail 2 when the eccentric cam 6 is in the relaxed operating state according to Fig. 1 to 4. However, due to the elastic deflection of the stop 22, it is still possible, with appropriate force, to guide the then deflected stop 22 past the counter-stop 23, so that by pulling on the second pressure arm 4 accordingly, it can be pulled off the guide rail 2 if desired. This can be the case, for example, if the entire second pressure arm 4 or individual parts thereof are to be exchanged or replaced. To assemble or reassemble the second pressure arm 4, it is sufficient to press it firmly onto the guide rail 2 until the stop 22 is elastically deflected accordingly and can be guided past the counter-stop 23. The stop 22 and the counter-stop 23 are shown in Fig.1, 4, 5, 8 and especially in the exploded view according to Fig. 9. In Figs. 9 and 10 it can also be seen particularly well that the pressure arm housing 9 of this first embodiment is formed from two half-shells 15 which can be non-destructively connected to one another by means of the snap-in connections 14, but can also be non-destructively separated from one another. As explained at the beginning, the pressure arm housing 9 can of course consist not only of two parts, i.e. of two half-shells 15, but also of more than two partial shells. Fig. 11 shows the area E from Figs. 4 and 8 on an enlarged scale. What can be seen here is part of one of the toothings 19 formed on the pressure arm housing 9. The corresponding counter-toothing 20 and the guide rail 2 are not shown in Fig. 11. It can be seen that in preferred embodiments the tooth height 31 of the toothing 19 is less than an end shoulder height 32 at an undercut formed at the end of the toothing 19.This configuration allows the toothing 19 and the counter-toothing 20, particularly in the end region of the toothing 19, to engage particularly firmly with one another in the position shown in Fig. 8. Figs. 12 to 19 show a second exemplary embodiment of a clamping device 1 according to the invention. Figs. 12 to 14 again show the relaxed operating state in which the second pressure arm 4 can be moved along the guide rail 2. Fig. 12 shows a side view, Fig. 13 a top view, and Fig. 14 the longitudinal section along the section line FF according to Fig. 13. Figs. 15 to 17 show an operating state in which an object 8 to be clamped is clamped between the pressure piece 5 and the first pressure arm 3 of this clamping device 1 according to the second exemplary embodiment. Fig. 18 shows an exploded view of this second exemplary embodiment, Fig.19 the pressure arm housing 9 of this second embodiment of the clamping device 1 with the two half-shells 15 separated from one another and the disengaged locking connections 14. In the following, only the differences from the first embodiment will be discussed. Otherwise, reference is made to the explanations for the first embodiment, which also apply analogously to the second embodiment. A first difference from the first embodiment is that the bracing ribs 16 and the through openings 18 in the guide rail 2 and in the first pressure arm 3 of the second embodiment are shaped differently than in the first embodiment, but this does not change their function. A second difference between the first and the second embodiment is the design of the support surface 26 of the pressure piece 5. This is corrugated in the second embodiment.Furthermore, in the second embodiment, the support body 34, which carries this support surface 26, is formed directly on the pressure piece 5. A further difference can be seen particularly well in the sectional views according to Figs. 14 and 17. In contrast to the first embodiment, in the second embodiment, a toothing 19 is provided on the guide rail 2 only on the side facing away from the first pressure arm 3. Accordingly, the pressure arm housing 9 also only has a corresponding counter-toothing 20, see in particular Fig. 19. On the side opposite this toothing 19, the guide rail 2 of this second embodiment is formed with a smooth surface. In the interior 11 of the pressure arm housing 9 of this second embodiment, in contrast to the first embodiment, there is also a clamping lever 30 pivotally mounted on the pressure arm housing 9, which is pressed against the guide rail 2 by the eccentric cam 6 when the pivot lever 7 pivots from the position shown in Fig. 14 to the position shown in Fig. 17. As a result, the toothing 19 and the counter-toothing 20 on the other side of the guide rail 2 engage with one another, so that the second pressure arm 4 or the pressure arm housing 9 is in turn held on the guide rail 2 by means of a positive fit to clamp the object 8 between the first pressure arm 3 and the pressure piece 5. A further difference from the first embodiment is that the second embodiment does not have a locking device 25, which locks into the end position to clamp the object 8.In this second embodiment of the invention according to Figs. 12 to 19, the forces acting on the eccentric cam 6 in the clamping position according to Fig. 17 are sufficient to hold it in this end position until this clamping position is released again by targeted actuation of the pivot lever 7.
