Abstract
Description
[0001] CODE PRESENTATION ARRANGEMENT
[0002] BACKGROUND
[0003] The present invention relates to a code presentation arrangement which can be used, for example, as a voucher card.
[0004] Gift cards usually have a card on which a code (e.g. PIN or activation code) and usually also a serial number assigned to the code are printed. The card is often attached to a carrier which can be hung from a hook in a warehouse. If the card is attached to a carrier, the code is usually printed on the side facing the wearer and the serial number may also be printed on the side facing the wearer or the carrier may have an open window to reveal the serial number. If the gift cards are sold by the product provider in a store, the cashier scans the serial number when the buyer pays and transmits it to the product provider to activate the code. While the serial number is visible on the card, the code may only be made visible after purchase. This is why the code printed on the card is traditionally covered by a scratch-off strip made of plastic and can be rubbed off the card with a coin or finger. Rubbing off the cover usually creates fine dust and dirt, which is very unpleasant. Furthermore, the scratch-off strip can be lifted off with a knife to reveal the code, and then the intact scratch-off strip can be reapplied. This way, it is not apparent to the buyer or cashier that the code has already been improperly read by another person. This is why, by scanning and transferring the serial number at the cash register, the other person can now use the unlocked code without payment and in addition to the buyer. SUMMARY.
[0005] It is the object of the invention to provide an improved code presentation arrangement in which, on the one hand, the code can be exposed more conveniently, but, on the other hand, an inadmissible exposure of the code can be reliably detected.
[0006] This object is achieved by the subject matter of the invention defined in independent claims 1 and 9. Some advantageous embodiments and further developments of the invention are the subject matter of the respective dependent claims.
[0007] According to the invention, it is proposed not to cover the code with a scratch-off field made of plastic, but rather to overlay it with an opaque cover section in the respective existing element, card or carrier, wherein the cover section has a detachable tear-off tab for exposing the code. With this structure of the code covering by an already existing card or carrier, no additional components are required. Furthermore, this structure of the code cover allows the buyer to expose the code in a convenient manner, since pulling the tear-off tab out of the cover section is easy and can be carried out without additional workpieces, and no dust or dirt is generated when pulling the tear-off tab out of the cover section. In addition, once the code has been exposed by pulling out the tear tab, the cover section cannot be closed again in the same way, so that it is clearly visible from the open or otherwise closed cover section that the code had already been exposed by another person.
[0008] The code presentation arrangement according to the invention can be designated / used, for example, as a voucher card, gift card, POSA (Point of Sale Activation) card, prepaid card, transaction card, and the like. The code can, in principle, have any desired effect, for example, as a PIN, activation code, secret number, QR code, etc.
[0009] According to a first aspect of the invention, the code presentation arrangement consists of a carrier and a card attached to the carrier, wherein the card or the carrier has a code presentation side on which a code is applied (e.g. printed). The carrier and the card are, for example, substantially rectangular in shape, wherein their corners may be slightly rounded. Furthermore, the card can optionally be attached completely to the carrier or partially protrude beyond the carrier and optionally completely or only partially cover the side of the carrier. In this embodiment, the code presentation arrangement according to the invention is characterized in that an opaque cover section of the carrier or an opaque cover section of the card overlies the code on the code presentation side. The respective cover section is attached to the code presentation side by permanent adhesive strips positioned next to the code along the edges of the code. The respective cover section has a detachable tear-off tab (e.g. slightly cut / perforated) in the code area between these permanent adhesive strips. When pulled out from the side facing away from the code, the code can be exposed. The respective cover section is opaque, at least in the area of the tear-off tab above the code. As standard, there may also be a recess in the carrier and, if applicable, also in the card to enable the code presentation arrangement to be hung up, and / or a serial number for unlocking the code may be applied to one side of the carrier or card (e.g. printed, e.g. as a list of numbers or as a barcode, preferably clearly visible).
[0010] In one embodiment of this first aspect of the invention, the code is applied to a code-presenting side of the card; the card is attached with its code-presenting side to one side (front or back) of the carrier; and the code is covered by a cover section in the carrier. Depending on the positioning of the code on the card, the cover section is positioned either in an edge area or somewhere in the center area of the carrier.
[0011] In this embodiment, the card, with its code presentation side, is preferably detachably attached to the side of the carrier. With a detachable card, both sides of the card can be designed with information and be readable. To ensure that the cover section remains firmly in place over the code when the card is removed from the carrier, the cover section in the carrier is preferably detachable from the carrier through at least one perforation. The perforation is formed, for example, by slightly cutting or drilling through the carrier to form a slit or holes in the carrier to allow the cover section to be separated.
[0012] Alternatively, the card can be permanently attached to the carrier. In this case, the cover section can remain within the carrier, but can be torn open on the side facing away from the card, opposite the code.
[0013] In this embodiment, the materials are preferably selected such that the carrier and the cover section in the carrier are formed from paper or cardboard and the card is formed from paper or cardboard, wherein the card in this embodiment with cover section in the carrier can optionally also be formed from PVC or plastic.
[0014] In another embodiment of this first aspect of the invention, the code is applied to a code-presenting side of the carrier; the card is attached to the code-presenting side of the carrier; and the code is covered by a cover portion in the card. Depending on the positioning of the code on the carrier, the cover portion is positioned optionally in an edge region or somewhere in the central region of the card.
[0015] In this alternative embodiment, the card is preferably detachably attached to the code-presenting side of the carrier. With a detachable card, both sides of the card can be designed with information and be readable. To ensure that the cover portion remains firmly on the carrier over the code when the card is detached from the carrier, in this case the cover portion in the card is preferably detachable from the card through at least one perforation in the card. The perforation is formed, for example, by slightly cutting or drilling through the card to form a slit or holes in the card in order to be able to separate the cover portion.
[0016] In this other embodiment, the materials are preferably selected such that the carrier is made of paper or cardboard, and the card and the cover portion in the card are made of paper or cardboard. In another embodiment of this first aspect of the invention, the code is applied to a code presentation side of the card; the card has a base portion attached to one side of the carrier with its back side facing away from the code presentation side; the card further has a folding portion folded over a fold line onto the code presentation side of the base portion; and the code on the code presentation side of the base portion of the card is overlaid by a cover portion in the folding portion of the card.
[0017] In this other embodiment, the materials are preferably also selected such that the carrier is formed from paper or cardboard and the card and the cover portion in the card are formed from paper or cardboard.
[0018] According to a second aspect of the invention, the code presentation arrangement consists only of a card (i.e. without a carrier), the card having a code presentation side on which a code is applied (e.g. printed). The card is, for example, substantially rectangular in shape, although its corners may be slightly rounded. In this embodiment, the code presentation arrangement according to the invention is characterized in that an opaque cover portion of the card covers the code on the code presentation side. The cover portion is attached to the code presentation side by permanent adhesive strips positioned adjacent to the code along the edges of the code, and the cover portion has, in the region of the code, between these permanent adhesive strips, a detachable tear tab (e.g. slightly cut / perforated), by pulling said tear tab out from the side facing away from the code, the code can be exposed. The cover section is opaque, at least in the area of the tear tab above the code.
[0019] As standard, the card may also have a recess to allow the code presentation arrangement to be hung up, and / or a serial number to unlock the code may be applied to one side of the card (e.g. printed, e.g. as a list of numbers or as a barcode, preferably clearly visible).
[0020] In this aspect, the materials are preferably selected such that the card and the cover portion in the card are formed from paper or cardboard. In one embodiment of this second aspect of the invention, the card has a base portion and a folding portion, wherein the folding portion is folded over a fold line onto the base portion such that the code presentation side in the base portion and the code presentation side in the folding portion face each other. In this embodiment, the code can either be applied to the code presentation side in the base portion of the card and covered by a cover portion in the folding portion of the card, or applied to the code presentation side in the folding portion of the card and covered by a cover portion in the base portion of the card. The folding section covers the base section either completely or partially, and the folding line runs either along the transverse or longitudinal direction of the card.
[0021] In another embodiment of this second aspect of the invention, the card has a base section, a folding section, and a further folding section, wherein the folding section is folded over a fold line onto the base section, and wherein the further folding section is folded over a further fold line onto the folding section such that the code presentation side in the folding section and the code presentation side in the further folding section face each other; the code is applied to the code presentation side in the further folding section of the card and covered by a cover section in the folding section of the card; and the folding section is detachable from the base section by at least one perforation in the card. The perforation is formed, for example, by slightly cutting or drilling through the card to form a slit or holes in the card in order to be able to separate the folding section. The folding section covers the base section either completely or partially, and the further folding section also covers the folding section either completely or partially, and the folding line and the further folding line each run either along the transverse direction or the longitudinal direction of the card (the same or different).
[0022] In another embodiment of this second aspect of the invention, the card has a base section, a folding section, and a further folding section, wherein the folding section is folded over a folding line onto the base section, and wherein the further folding section is folded over a further folding line onto the folding section such that the code presentation side in the folding section and the code presentation side in the further folding section face each other; and the code on the code presentation side in the folding section of the card is covered by a cover section in the further folding section of the card. The folding section optionally covers the base section completely or only partially, and the further folding section also optionally covers the folding section completely or only partially, and the folding line and the further folding line each run optionally along the transverse direction or the longitudinal direction of the card (the same or different).Optionally, in this embodiment, the folding section can be detached from the base section through at least one perforation in the card, so that the folding section and the further folding section can be separated from the base section. The perforation is formed, for example, by slightly cutting or drilling through the card to form a slit or holes in the card, allowing the folding section and the further folding section to be separated.
[0023] The invention is defined by the appended claims. The above and other features and advantages of the invention will become more apparent from the following exemplary description of preferred, non-limiting embodiments with reference to the accompanying drawings. In these drawings, some of which are only schematic:

[0033] DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0034] The groups of figures show various embodiments of a code presentation arrangement according to the invention, each exemplary in the form of a voucher card, through which a code (e.g., PIN, activation code, secret number, QR code, etc.) (e.g., as a list of numbers or as a barcode) can be sold in a store. The code is activated by the store's cashier by scanning an additional serial number (e.g., in the form of a barcode) on the voucher card and forwarding the scanned serial number to the product provider of the code so that the code can be used by the buyer. For other applications of the code presentation arrangement, the additional serial number can optionally be omitted.
[0035] As a precaution, it should be pointed out that the partial figures C of the figure groups, which represent a side sectional view, each show unrealistic proportions of the components, although it is more clearly visible where which components are present, are connected to each other and interact with each other.
[0036] It should also be noted that the illustration of the
[0037] Cover section in FIGS. 2A and 2B with respect to the first embodiment of FIGS. 1A-D also applies in principle to all other embodiments in an analogous manner.
[0038] The fold lines present in some embodiments can optionally also be designed / referred to as crease lines. On the one hand, one speaks of folding when the crease is created without tools; on the other hand, one speaks of folding when, in paper technology, a sharp crease is created with the aid of a tool or a machine. And the perforations present in some embodiments in the carrier or card are formed, for example, by lightly cutting or drilling through the respective section of the carrier or card to enable easy separation.
[0039] Referring to FIGS. 1A-D and 2A-B, a first embodiment of the code presentation arrangement according to the invention will now be explained.
[0040] The code presentation assembly 10 essentially consists of a carrier 20 and a card 30. The carrier 20 and the card 30 are each rectangular in shape, for example, with slightly rounded corners. The carrier 20 and the card 30 are each made of paper or cardboard. The carrier 20 preferably has a recess 22 in its upper end region so that the carrier 20 and thus the entire assembly 10 can be hung, for example, from a hook on a shelf or rack in a store.
[0041] In this embodiment, the card 30 has a code presentation side 31a on which a code 12 is printed, and a back side 31b, and the carrier has a front side 21a and a back side 21b. The card 30 is attached to the carrier 20 in a lower end region and projects downward beyond the carrier 20, with the code presentation side 31a of the card 30 being attached to the back side 21b of the carrier 20.
[0042] To prevent the code 12 from being visible, it is covered by an opaque cover portion 24 of the carrier 20. As can be seen particularly in FIGS. 1C and 2A-B, the cover portion 24 contained in the carrier 20 is attached to the code presentation side 31b of the card 30 by permanent adhesive strips 25, wherein these permanent adhesive strips 25 run alongside the code 12 along the edges of the code 12. The permanent adhesive strips 25 each preferably extend across the entire width of the card 30, so that they project beyond the code 12 and securely hold the entire cover portion 24 to the card 30. In order to expose the code 12 so that it can be seen and used, the cover section 24 of the carrier 20 contains, in the area of the code 12, between the permanent adhesive strips 25, a detachable tear-off tab 26 which can be easily pulled out of the cover section 24 (in particular without additional elements). The cover section 24 is opaque at least in the area of this tear tab 26 above the code 12.
[0043] As illustrated in FIG. 1D, the card 30 is detachable from the carrier 20. To ensure that the cover portion 24 of the carrier 20 continues to cover the code 12 when the card 30 is detached, the carrier 20 contains a perforation 28 at the edge of the cover portion 24 so that the cover portion 24 can be separated from the rest of the carrier 20 and remains attached to the card by means of the permanent adhesive strips 25, thus covering the code 12. The code 12 is therefore usually only exposed after the card 30 has been separated from the carrier 20 by pulling out the tear tab 26. In principle, however, the code 12 could also be exposed as long as the card 30 is still attached to the carrier 20.
[0044] In addition, for example, on the code presentation side 31a of the card, in the section extending beyond the carrier 20, a serial number 14 for activating the code 12 is printed (e.g., in the form of a barcode), with the serial number 14 being clearly visible. Furthermore, some information for the user / buyer can be displayed on the arrangement 10. For example, the front side 21a of the carrier 20 contains information about the product name, the product provider, and the amount to be paid, and sides 31a and 31b of the card 30 contain information about how the product can be accessed via the code 12 and how the product can be used / executed.
[0045] Referring to FIGS. 3A-D, a second embodiment of the code presentation arrangement according to the invention will now be explained. Identical or corresponding components are designated by the same reference numerals as in the first embodiment.
[0046] This second embodiment differs from the first embodiment essentially in that the card 30 does not protrude beyond the carrier 20, but is completely attached to the back 21b of the carrier 20. Since the card 30 is preferably detachable from the carrier 20 in this embodiment as well, so that both sides 31a, 31b of the card 30 can be filled with visible information, the card 30 is attached to the carrier 20 outside the area of the cover portion 24 of the carrier 20 by means of removable adhesive dots 27. In addition, the carrier 20 therefore contains a perforation 28 at each of the edges of the cover portion 24, so that when the card 30 is separated, the cover portion 24 can be separated from the rest of the carrier 20 and remains attached to the card 30 by means of the permanent adhesive strips 25, thus covering the code 12.After separating the card 30, a corresponding hole 29 is therefore present in the carrier 20, from which the cover section 24 is removed.
[0047] For example, the serial number 14 is printed on the front side 21a of the carrier 20. Alternatively, the serial number 14 can also be printed on the back side 31b of the card. In both variants, the serial number 14 is clearly visible, especially before the card 30 is separated from the carrier 20.
[0048] Otherwise, this second embodiment corresponds to the first embodiment of FIGS. 1A-D.
[0049] Although not shown, in a variant of the second embodiment, the code 12 can alternatively be printed on the back 21b of the carrier 20 and, accordingly, an analogous cover portion 34 can be contained within the card 30. Upon separation of the card 30 from the carrier 20, the cover portion 34 is then detached from the card 30 and remains on the back 21b of the carrier 20 on the code 12.
[0050] Furthermore, although not shown, the card 30 can substantially completely cover the back side 21b of the carrier 20. Since the assembly 10 is then substantially the same thickness throughout, this variant is advantageous when transporting the assembly 10.
[0051] Referring to FIGS. 4A-D, a third embodiment of the code presentation arrangement according to the invention will now be explained. Identical or corresponding components are designated by the same reference numerals as in the first and second embodiments.
[0052] The code presentation assembly 10 essentially consists of a carrier 20 and a card 30. The carrier 20 and the card 30 are each rectangular in shape, for example, with slightly rounded corners. The carrier 20 and the card 30 are each made of paper or cardboard. The carrier 20 preferably has a recess 22 in its upper end region so that the carrier 20, and thus the entire assembly 10, can be suspended.
[0053] In this embodiment, the card 30 has a code presentation side 31a on which a code 12 is printed, and a back side 31b, and the carrier has a front side 21a and a back side 21b. The card 30 is substantially completely attached to the carrier 20 and does not protrude beyond the carrier 30, with the back side 31b of the card 30 being attached to the back side 21b of the carrier 20, so that the code presentation side 31a of the card 30 faces away from the carrier 20.
[0054] In contrast to the first and second embodiments, the code 12 on the code presentation side 31a of the card 30 is not covered by an opaque cover section 24 in the carrier 20, but by an opaque cover section 34 in the card 30. As particularly illustrated in FIG. 4C, the card 30 has, for this purpose, a base section 30a attached to the back 21b of the carrier 20 and a folding section 30c folded over a fold line 30b onto the code presentation side 31a of the base section 30a. The cover section 34 is arranged in this folding section 30c in the region of the code 12 applied in the base section 30a on the base section 30a of the card 30.Analogous to the cover section 24 in the carrier 20 in the first and second embodiments, the cover section 34 contained in the folding section 30c of the card 30 is attached to the code presentation side 31b of the base section 30a of the card 30 by permanent adhesive strips 35, wherein these permanent adhesive strips 35 run alongside the code 12 along the edges of the code 12. The permanent adhesive strips 35 each preferably extend across the entire width of the card 30 so that they protrude beyond the code 12 and securely hold the folding section 30c and in particular the entire cover section 34 to the base section 30a of the card 30. In order to expose the code 12 so that it can be seen and used, the cover section 34 of the card 30 contains a detachable tear tab 36 in the area of the code 12 between the permanent adhesive strips 35, which can be easily pulled out of the cover section 34.The cover section 34 is opaque, at least in the area of this tear tab 36 above the code 12.
[0055] As illustrated in FIG. 4D, the card 30 is preferably detachable from the carrier 20 in this embodiment as well. For this purpose, the base portion 30a of the card 30 is attached to the back 21b of the carrier 20 by means of removable adhesive dots. When the card 30 is detached from the carrier 20, the folded portion 30c of the card 30 remains folded and attached to the base portion 30a of the card 30, so that the cover portion 34 of the card 30 continues to cover the code 12. Perforation in the carrier 20 or in the card 30 is not required in this context.
[0056] In addition, a serial number 14 for activating the code 12 is also printed (e.g., in the form of a barcode) on the back 31b of the card 30 in the area of the base section 30a, for example, whereby the serial number 14 is clearly visible. Alternatively, the serial number 14 could also be printed, for example, on the front 21a of the carrier 20. Further information can be displayed, for example, as in the first embodiment, on the front 21a of the carrier 20 and the sides 31a, 31b of the card 30.
[0057] Referring to FIGS. 5A-C, a fourth embodiment of the code presentation arrangement according to the invention will now be explained. Identical or corresponding components are designated by the same reference numerals as in the previous embodiments.
[0058] In contrast to the first, second, and third embodiments, the code presentation arrangement 10 in this case does not have a carrier 30. The code presentation arrangement 10 essentially consists only of a card 30. The card 30 is, for example, essentially rectangular in shape, with the corners being slightly rounded, and the card 30 is made of paper or cardboard. The card 30 preferably has a recess 32 in its upper end region so that it can be hung.
[0059] The card 30 has a code presentation side 31a on which a code 12 is printed, and a back side 31b. The code 12 on the code presentation side 31a of the card 30 is covered by an opaque cover section 34 in the card 30. As particularly illustrated in FIG. 5C, the card 30 has a base section 30a and a folding section 30c that is folded over a fold line 30b onto the code presentation side 31a of the base section 30a. The cover section 36 of the card 30 is arranged in this folding section 30c in the area of the code 12 on the base section 30a.
[0060] Analogous to the cover section 34 in the third exemplary embodiment, the cover section 34 contained in the folding section 30c of the card 30 is attached to the code presentation side 31b of the base section 30a of the card 30 by permanent adhesive strips 35, wherein these permanent adhesive strips 35 run alongside the code 12 along the edges of the code 12. The permanent adhesive strips 35 each preferably extend over the entire width of the card 30 so that they protrude beyond the code 12 and securely hold the folding section 30c and in particular the entire cover section 34 to the base section 30a of the card 30. In order to be able to expose the code 12 so that it becomes visible and can be used, the cover section 34 of the card 30 contains a detachable tear-off tab 36 in the area of the code 12 between the permanent adhesive strips 35, which can be easily pulled out of the cover section 34.The cover section 34 is opaque, at least in the area of this tear-off tab 36 above the code 12. Additionally, a serial number 14 for activating the code 12 is printed (e.g., in the form of a barcode) on the code presentation side 31a of the card 30 in the area of the base section 30a, for example. The serial number 14 is not overlaid by the short folded section 30c, so that it is clearly visible. Alternatively, the serial number 14 could also be printed, for example, on the back 31a of the card 30. Furthermore, some information for the user / buyer can be displayed on the arrangement 10.For example, the reverse side 31b of the base section 30a of the card 30 contains information about the product name, the product provider and the amount to be paid, and the code presentation side 31a of the base section 30a of the card 30 contains information about how the product can be accessed via the code 12 and how the product can be used / executed.
[0061] Although not shown, in a variant of the fourth embodiment, the code 12 may alternatively be printed on the folding portion 30c and accordingly the cover portion 34 may be included in the base portion 30a of the card.
[0062] Referring to FIGS. 6A-C, a fifth embodiment of the code presentation arrangement according to the invention will now be explained. Identical or corresponding components are designated by the same reference numerals as in the fourth embodiment.
[0063] The fifth embodiment differs from the fourth embodiment in that the folding portion 30c of the card 30a substantially covers the entire base portion 30a of the card 30, and the folding line 30b extends in the vertical direction of the card 30 (rather than in the horizontal direction as in FIG. 5). Because the folding portion 30c covers the entire base portion 30a, the assembly 10 is substantially the same thickness throughout, which is advantageous when transporting the assembly 10.
[0064] Because the base portion 30a is completely covered by the folding portion 30c, the recess 32 for suspending the card 30 extends through the base portion 30a and also through the folding portion 30c. For example, the serial number 14 is printed on the back 31b of the card 30 in the area of the folding portion 30c outside the area where the cover portion 34 for the code 12 is present (or alternatively in the area of the base portion 30a). Furthermore, some information for the user / buyer can be displayed on the assembly 10. For example, the back 31b of the base portion 30a contains information about the product name, the product provider, and the amount to be paid, and the back 31b of the folding portion 30c contains information about how the product can be accessed via the code 12 and how the product can be used / executed.
[0065] Although not shown, in a variant of the fifth embodiment, the code 12 may alternatively be printed on the folding portion 30c and accordingly the cover portion 34 may be included in the base portion 30a of the card 30.
[0066] Furthermore, in the fifth embodiment, the fold line 30b may alternatively run in the horizontal direction (ie at the lower edge in FIG. 6A).
[0067] Referring to FIGS. 7A-C, a sixth embodiment of the code presentation arrangement according to the invention will now be explained. Identical or corresponding components are designated by the same reference numerals as in the fourth and fifth embodiments.
[0068] The sixth embodiment differs from the fourth embodiment essentially in that the card 30 has, in addition to the base portion 30a and the folding portion 30c, a further folding portion 30e. While the folding portion 30c is folded over the fold line 30b onto the base portion 30a, the further folding portion 30e is folded over a further folding portion 30d onto the folding portion 30c. As illustrated by way of example in FIG. 7C, the folding portion 30c can be relatively short, whereas the further folding portion 30e is longer and thus extends beyond the folding portion 30c.
[0069] In this embodiment, the folding portion 30c is folded onto the base portion 30a such that the back side 31b in the base portion 30a and the back side 31b in the folding portion 30c face each other, and the further folding portion 30e is folded onto the folding portion 30c such that the code presentation side 31a in the folding portion 30c and the code presentation side 31a in the further folding portion 30e face each other. Furthermore, in this embodiment, the code 12 is printed on the code presentation side 31a in the further folding portion 30e, and the opaque cover portion 34 of the card 30 is included in the folding portion 30c. In order that the tear tab 36 of the cover section 34 is accessible and can be removed to expose the code 12, the folding section 30c together with the further folding section 30e can be detached from the base section 30a.For this purpose, a perforation 38 is provided in the fold line 30b and the fold section 30c is attached to the base section 30a of the card 30 by means of removable adhesive dots 37.
[0070] The serial number 14 for activating the code 12 is printed, for example, on the code presentation side 31a in the protruding area of the further folding section 30c of the card 30 or alternatively on the code presentation side 31a in the base section 30a of the card 30 (e.g., in the form of a barcode). Further information for the user / buyer can be displayed, for example, on the code presentation side 31a of the base section 30a, on the back 31b of the further folding section 30e, and / or on the code presentation side 31a of the further folding section 30e in the area protruding beyond the folding section 30c.
[0071] Although not shown, in a variant of the sixth embodiment, the folding section 30c can extend over a larger area of the base section 30a of the card. Furthermore, in this variant, the further folding section 30e can then optionally extend only very briefly over the larger folding section 30c and contain the cover section 34 for a code 12 on the further folding section 30e. The configuration of the further folding section 30e with the cover section 34 over the folding section 30c with the code 12 then corresponds approximately to the configuration of the folding section 30c with the cover section 34 over the base section 30a with the code 12 according to the embodiment shown in Fig. 5C.
[0072] The invention is defined by the appended claims. The exemplary embodiments explained above with reference to the figures serve only to facilitate a better understanding of the invention, but are not intended to limit the scope of protection defined by the claims. As will be apparent to those skilled in the art, other embodiments are also possible within the scope of the invention defined in the claims, in particular by omitting individual features from the exemplary embodiments described above or adding additional features to the exemplary embodiments described above, and by further (not explicitly mentioned) combinations of features of two or more of the exemplary embodiments described above.
