Abstract
Description
[0001] Furniture or household appliance element
[0002] The present invention relates to a furniture or household appliance element according to the preamble of claim 1.
[0003] Such furniture or household appliance elements such as shelves or racks, in which a body part is mounted in a support body so that it can be moved at least partially in rotation and translation at the same time, are known, for example, from DE 10 2019 109 866 A1.
[0004] A translation-rotation fitting is used to carry out the translation-rotation movement of the body part.
[0005] This translational rotation fitting is usually used at least between a base support plate of the support body and a base plate of the body part.
[0006] Depending on the size, especially the vertical height of the translationally and rotationally movable body part, an additional translation-rotation fitting is used between a cover support plate of the support body and a cover plate of the body part in order to be able to better guide the combined translation-rotation movement.
[0007] If two translation-rotation fittings are used, they can be of the same design. However, it is also conceivable to use translation-rotation fittings of different designs.
[0008] Since the combined translational-rotational movement between parts of the support body and the body part leads to the formation of gaps between the edge regions of the support body and the body part, which close again when an open position or the final closed position is reached, there is always the risk that a person will intentionally or inadvertently reach into such a gap to initiate the force of the translational-rotational movement of the body part, which poses the risk of pinching or injury, particularly to the fingers. The object of the present invention is to improve a furniture or household appliance element of the generic type in such a way that the risk of injury or pinching when operating the furniture or household appliance element is reduced.
[0009] This object is achieved by a furniture or household appliance element having the features of claim 1.
[0010] The furniture or household appliance element according to the invention comprises a support body with a base support plate, a top support plate, and at least one side wall, as well as a body part mounted for simultaneous translational and rotational movement relative to the support body via a translation-rotation fitting, comprising a base plate, a top plate, and at least one support frame. In addition to the one support frame, additional support frames can be provided in the case of a shelf that is open on all sides, or at least one side wall and a front panel.
[0011] The translation-rotation fitting is arranged between the cover support plate and the cover plate and / or between the base support plate and the base plate.
[0012] At least one anti-pinch protection element is arranged on the body part in the area of the base plate and / or the cover plate.
[0013] By arranging such a pinch protection element on the base plate and / or the cover plate of the body part, it is possible to make the gaps that arise between the two components moving relative to each other during the translational-rotational movement of the body part relative to the support body as inaccessible as possible by means of such a pinch protection element.
[0014] The risk of an operator's finger or hand becoming trapped or injured is thereby significantly reduced, and in particular completely prevented.
[0015] Advantageous embodiments of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims. According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the anti-pinch element is designed as a cover strip that is arranged on a side edge of the base plate or the cover plate and is releasably attached to the base plate or the cover plate, covering a gap between the base plate and the base support plate or between the cover plate and the cover support plate.
[0016] Such a cover strip makes it easy to cover gaps that arise during the translational-rotational movement of the body part relative to the supporting body.
[0017] The detachability of the cover strip also prevents painful or injurious clamping because, before the pressure on the finger between the edges of the cover strip and the support body becomes too great, the cover strip detaches from the base plate or the cover plate, thus preventing clamping or injury.
[0018] According to an advantageous further development, the cover strip is detachably fastened to the base plate or the cover plate by means of a pressure fastener, which enables an easy-to-install fastening option for the cover strip to the base plate or the cover plate.
[0019] According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the anti-pinch element is designed as an insert which is attached near at least one side edge of the base plate or the cover plate under the base plate or resting on the cover plate and is fixed in place on the base plate or the cover plate, filling a partial area between the base plate and the base support plate or between the cover plate and the cover support plate.
[0020] Such an insert can be provided in addition to or alternatively to the terminal block.
[0021] The insert provides a simple and effective way of preventing an operator's fingers from reaching behind areas of the body part that pose a risk of pinching due to their proximity to a side edge, for example a front panel or a side wall of the body part.
[0022] By arranging an insert exactly behind such a front panel or side panel, it is prevented that fingers are inserted into an area below the upper edge of the front panel or side panel or, when reaching from below, into an area behind the front panel or side panel above the lower edge of the front panel or side panel.
[0023] As the body part moves further, any fingers placed there are simply pushed away from the danger area by the base support plate or the top support plate of the support body.
[0024] Accordingly, according to a preferred embodiment, the insert is positioned on a rear side of the front or side panel.
[0025] In a further preferred embodiment, the insert extends along all side edges of the base plate or the cover plate, wherein the insert is formed in at least two parts.
[0026] The two-part design of the insert allows for easier installation of the insert on the base plate or cover plate, as well as the installation of a translation-rotation fitting to be attached to the cover plate or under the base plate.
[0027] According to a further advantageous development, the insert is bevelled towards the plane of the base plate or cover plate at its edge facing away from the side edge of the base plate or the cover plate.
[0028] The bevel also makes it easier to push out the fingers if a finger is inserted in this area through a side edge of the base support plate or the top support plate of the support body.
[0029] According to a further advantageous development, the inserts and / or the cover strips are connected to one another via nodes. Preferably, at least one of the nodes has a pin for engagement with the support frame.
[0030] According to another alternative embodiment, the anti-pinch element is designed as a lever that is movable in a manner coupled to the translation-rotation fitting such that, during the translation-rotation movement of the body part, the lever always covers an area adjacent to a side edge of the base support plate or the top support plate. The arrangement of at least one such lever, whose movement is coupled to the translation-rotation fitting, also enables the coverage of hazardous areas.
[0031] In an advantageous design variant, two levers are movable and coupled with the translation-rotation fitting.
[0032] According to a further preferred embodiment, the at least one lever is movable while coupled to a linear guide of the translation-rotation fitting.
[0033] Preferred embodiments are explained in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[0050] In the following description of the figures, terms such as top, bottom, left, right, front, back, etc., refer exclusively to the exemplary representation and position of the furniture or household appliance element, the support body, the body part, the cover strip, the insert, the lever, the translation-rotation fitting, and the like chosen in the respective figures. These terms are not to be understood as limiting; i.e., these references may change due to different working positions or the mirror-symmetrical design or the like.
[0051] In Figures 1 to 4, reference numeral 1 denotes an embodiment variant of a furniture or household appliance element according to the invention.
[0052] The furniture or household appliance element 1 shown here as a furniture element has a support body 2 and a body part 3 mounted so as to be movable both translationally and rotationally relative to the support body 2.
[0053] For ease of reading, the furniture or household appliance element 1 is referred to below as furniture element 1.
[0054] A corresponding household appliance element, in particular in the form of a refrigerator or freezer element or a wine cooler element, can be constructed analogously to the furniture or household appliance element 1 shown as a furniture element.
[0055] The support body 2 has at least one base support plate 21 and one cover support plate 22, as well as at least one side wall 24 connected to the base support plate 21 and the cover support plate 22. The front side of the support body 2 is closed, for example, by a pivoting door 23.
[0056] The body part 3 has at least one base plate 31 and one cover plate 32 as well as at least one side wall 34 connected to the base plate 31 and the cover plate 32, in the embodiment variant shown here a front panel 33 covering a front and a side wall 34.
[0057] The interior of the body part 3 is divided here, for example, into several compartments arranged one above the other by two shelves 35 fixed to the front panel 33 and the side wall 34 as well as a support frame 36.
[0058] The base support plate 21 of the support body 2 extends in its length over the entire surface of the furniture element 1 .
[0059] The same applies to the cover support plate 22, which covers both the upper end of the fixed support body 2 and the upper end of the body part 3, as shown by way of example in Figures 1 to 4.
[0060] As shown in Figures 4 to 6, first anti-pinch elements in the form of cover strips 4 are attached to the side edges 321 of the base plate 31 and the cover plate 32 of the body part 3.
[0061] Each of these cover strips 4 is arranged on a side edge 321 of the cover plate 32 and on a side edge of the base plate 31 covered here by the cover strip 4 and thus covers a gap between the base plate 31 and the base support plate 21 or between the cover plate 32 and the cover support plate 22.
[0062] As can be clearly seen in Figure 6, the cover strips 4 are preferably detachably attached to the base plate 31 or the cover plate 32. A snap fastener 44, for example in the form of a mushroom-shaped hook-and-loop fastener or the like, is preferably used for detachable attachment. Alternatively, attachment by screwing, gluing, or clamping elements is also possible.
[0063] The pressure closure 44 is, as shown by way of example in Figure 7, fastened to a fixing section 45 of the cover strip 4.
[0064] The detachable fastening is preferably designed such that the cover strip only folds away from the side edge 321 of the cover plate 32 (or the side edge of the base plate 31), but without completely detaching, thus preventing the cover strip 4 from falling down.
[0065] In the embodiment shown in Figure 7, the cover strip 4 further comprises an outwardly visible cover section 41 and an inwardly extending support web 43 (in the assembled state), which in the assembled state rests on the cover plate 32 or on the underside of the base plate 31.
[0066] In the area of the inner side of the cover strip 4 facing away from the cover section 41, which area is separated from the fixing section 45 by the support web 43, the cover section 41 is formed with a ramp 42 which opens into the support web 43.
[0067] As further shown in Figures 2, 3, 5 and 8 to 10, a second anti-pinch element in the form of an insert 5 is formed on the furniture element 1, which is attached to at least one side edge 321 of the base plate 31 or the cover plate 32 under the base plate 31 or resting on the cover plate 32 and filling a partial area between the base plate 31 and the base support plate 21 or between the cover plate 32 and the cover support plate 22 and is fixed in place on the base plate 31 or the cover plate 32.
[0068] The inserts 5 can be fastened, for example, by gluing, riveting, screwing or the like, in particular detachably fastened.
[0069] The inserts 5 thus fill a gap that would otherwise form behind the front panel 33 or the side wall 34 or behind the cover strips 4, which otherwise represents a potential hazard for pinching fingers and are thus filled by the inserts 5. The width of the inserts 5 is dimensioned such that a translation-rotation fitting 8, which may be mounted on the cover plate 32 or under the base plate 31, has sufficient space.
[0070] A variant of a translation-rotation fitting 8 which can be used here essentially has a linear guide 81 and a rotation guide 82, as shown for example in Figures 5, 13 and 14 to 18.
[0071] The rotation guide has a guide cam track 83 in which a guide element 84 is guided.
[0072] The linear guide 81 has at least a first connecting part and a second connecting part movable relative thereto, one of which is fixedly coupled to the guide element 84 and the other of which is coupled to the guide cam track 83 by means of a pivot bearing.
[0073] In the illustrated embodiment, the linear guide 81 is formed with at least one first connecting part, designed here as a guide rail, and a second connecting part designed as a running rail that is displaceable relative to the first connecting part.
[0074] Other variants of a linear guide can also be used, for example a guide rail with a roller carriage that can be moved along it.
[0075] The body part 3 can be moved from an initial position via an intermediate position into an opening position and back by means of the translation-rotation fitting 8.
[0076] In the intermediate position, the body part 3 is rotated relative to the first support body 2 in a direction of rotation Ri, R2 and displaced in a predetermined direction A.
[0077] The guide element 84 preferably has a wheel that can be guided in the guide cam track 83 and is fixed in a recess provided for this purpose in a support plate, to which the guide rails of the linear guide 81 are preferably also fixed. A translation-rotation fitting 8 for at least partially forced simultaneous translation-rotation movement of the body part 3 relative to the support body 2 in one of two possible opposite directions of rotation and in a predetermined translation direction, as shown in Figure 19, as described in the above-mentioned DE 10 2019 109 866 A1, can also be used here. The content of DE 10 2019 109 866 A1 is hereby incorporated into this application to explain numerous details of the translation-rotation fitting.
[0078] In contrast to the variant of a translation-rotation fitting described above, the rotation guide 82 here essentially consists of rolling elements guided in raceways.
[0079] The height of the inserts 5 is preferably dimensioned such that they are flush with the respective upper edges or lower edges of side walls 34, front panels 33, so that in the event of a finger being placed there, said finger is pushed outwards by the side edge of the cover support plate 22 or base support plate 21 when the body part 3 moves, thus preventing a finger or several fingers from becoming trapped.
[0080] As shown in particular in Figures 2, 3, 8 and 9, the inserts 5 are preferably positioned on a rear side of the front panel 33 or side wall 34.
[0081] Particularly preferably, the inserts 5 extend along all side edges 321 of the base plate 31 or the cover plate 32.
[0082] For easy installation of the inserts 5, these are preferably designed in at least two parts.
[0083] To further increase the protection against pinching, the inserts 5 can be bevelled towards the plane of the base plate 31 or cover plate 32 on their edge facing away from the side edge 321 of the base plate 31 or the cover plate 32 and can have a ramp 52, as shown by way of example in Figure 3.
[0084] Figures 11 to 14 show a further embodiment of a pinch protection element. The pinch protection element shown here is designed as a lever 6, which, as shown in Figures 13 and 14, is coupled to the translation-rotation fitting 8 and can be moved in such a way that, during the translation-rotation movement of the body part 3, the lever 6 always covers an area adjacent to a side edge of the base support plate 21 or the top support plate 22, as can be clearly seen in Figures 11 and 12.
[0085] In this case, the at least one lever 6 is advantageously detachable, for example coupled to the translational-rotational fitting 8 by screws or locking elements.
[0086] Particularly preferably, in this embodiment, two levers 6 are movable and coupled to the translation-rotation fitting 8. The coupling to the translation-rotation fitting 8 is preferably effected via a linear guide 81 of the translation-rotation fitting 8, as shown in Figures 13 and 14.
[0087] Due to the arrangement of two levers 6, the clamp protection can be used flexibly for different dimensions of the furniture or household appliance element 1.
[0088] In addition, cover strips 4 are also attached in this embodiment to ensure increased protection against pinching.
[0089] In the alternative embodiment of the anti-pinch element shown in Figures 15 to 19, the inserts 5 and cover strips 4 are connected to one another via nodes 53. At least one of the nodes 53 additionally has a vertical pin 54 for engagement with the support frame 36.
[0090] Figures 17 to 19 show, by way of example, the use of the inserts 5 and cover strips in the area of the side edges 321 of the base plate 31 as well as the translation-rotation fitting 8 arranged under the base plate 31. List of reference symbols
