Description

GLAZING COMPRISING SEVERAL PROFILED SEALS, PROFILED SEAL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SUCH GLAZING

[0001] The invention relates to the field of glazing, in particular for vehicles, and in particular for motor vehicles. The invention relates more specifically to glazing comprising a glazed element having an outer face, an inner face and an edge located between these two faces, a longitudinal edge, a lateral edge and a corner located between said longitudinal edge and said lateral edge.

[0002] The invention relates more specifically to a glazing comprising a glazed element having an outer face, an inner face and an edge located between these two faces, a lower longitudinal edge, a higher longitudinal edge, two lateral edges, two lower corners each located between said lower longitudinal edge and one of the two lateral edges and two upper corners each located between said upper longitudinal edge and one of the two lateral edges. The notions of "high" and "low" here refer to the essentially vertical positioning of the glazing in the environment of the vehicle.

[0003] The invention also relates to a particular profiled seal for such glazing and a method for manufacturing such glazing.

[0004] It is known from the prior art, in particular from international patent applications No. WO 2001 / 45974 and WO 2001 / 85481, a glazing comprising a longitudinal profiled seal along a lower longitudinal edge and having a longitudinal wing and a longitudinal groove for clipping an outer covering piece to said lower longitudinal profiled seal, the wing being fixed to the inner face of the glazed element along the longitudinal edge of the glazed element and the groove extending from the wing further than the edge of the glazed element, towards the interior space or the exterior space.

[0005] Although these documents do not mention it, it is possible to provide that a part of the rest of the perimeter of the glazed element, along the other edges, is provided with another profiled seal and in particular along the lateral edges, such as for example a profiled lip seal such as that disclosed in international patent application No. WO 2002 / 30696. Thus, in a corner located between a longitudinal edge and a lateral edge, (and preferably in the two corners located at the ends of the low longitudinal profiled groove seal) the glazing comprises several different profiled seals.

[0006] These profile seals are different first and foremost because their profile is different, due to their function being different. A side profile seal does not have a groove because there is no outer cover piece to clip along a side edge.

[0007] When two different profile seals are close to each other in the environment of a glazing corner, it is generally chosen that one profile seal (usually the side profile seal) ends far from the other so that their different shapes and / or methods of fixing to the glazed element do not interfere with each other.

[0008] However, due to the functions of each profile joint, it may be desirable that in this corner environment the two different profile joints are as close as possible, or even in contact with each other.

[0009] The present invention is based on the discovery that, surprisingly, this can be achieved by providing that, for the bossed lateral profiled joint, the base extends into the environment of the corner to be close to or even in contact with the wing of the longitudinal profiled joint or even that the base extends even further into the environment of the corner to be close to or even in contact with the groove of the longitudinal profiled joint.

[0010] This configuration is particularly advantageous when the two profiled seals are not fixed to the glazing using the same method; in particular this configuration is very advantageous when the longitudinal profiled seal is prefabricated and then fixed to the glazed element with an adhesion strip and the lateral profiled seal is fixed to the glazed element by in-situ extrusion on the glazed element.

[0011] This configuration is particularly advantageous when the two profiled joints are fixed to the glazing by arranging a strip of primer and the two strips of primer have a different composition; two different compositions of primer implying that, by nature, these compositions are not compatible with each other and that if both are present, neither can fulfil its role as primer.

[0012] This configuration is also particularly advantageous for managing the flow of water along the side profile: the water sliding along the side profile is guided towards the lowest point and does not stagnate: the water does not remain and this thus avoids the risk of the water degrading one (or both) primer(s); in addition, there is no risk of dirt accumulating.

[0013] The invention thus relates, in its broadest sense, to glazing according to claim 1.

[0014] This glazing comprises a glazed element having an outer face, an inner face and an edge located between these two faces, a longitudinal edge, a lateral edge and a corner located between said longitudinal edge and said lateral edge, said glazing comprising several different profiled seals: - a longitudinal profiled seal having a longitudinal wing and a longitudinal groove for clipping an outer covering piece to said longitudinal profiled seal, said wing being fixed to said inner face along said longitudinal edge and said groove extending from said wing further than said edge, - a lateral profiled seal having a base and a bead, said base being fixed to said inner face along said lateral edge and said bead extending from said base further than said edge, the glazing being remarkable in that a lateral end of said lateral profiled seal extends into the environment of said corner with said base located opposite said wing of the longitudinal profiled seal, or even opposite said groove of said longitudinal profiled seal.,

[0015] Said longitudinal profiled joint preferably being a low longitudinal profiled joint, preferably a low lateral end of said lateral profiled joint extends in the environment of said low corner with said base located opposite said wing of the longitudinal profiled joint, or even lower still opposite said groove of said longitudinal profiled joint.

[0016] Advantageously, in the environment of said corner, said longitudinal profiled seal is present, being fixed along the entire length of said longitudinal wing to said glazed element; said base of the lateral profiled seal is also fixed to said glazed element in the environment of said corner.

[0017] Advantageously, said lateral edge of the glazed element is oriented substantially perpendicularly to said longitudinal edge of the glazed element.

[0018] Advantageously, said longitudinal profiled seal has two ends and said glazing thus has two corner environments; these two corner environments are preferably according to the present invention, without necessarily being identical. These two corners are preferably low corners.

[0019] Preferably, along said longitudinal profile said groove extends from said wing further than said edge in the centrifugal direction; preferably said groove extends from said wing further than said edge in the downward direction.

[0020] Preferably, along said lateral profile said bead extends from said base further than said edge in the centrifugal direction.

[0021] Preferably, said longitudinal profiled seal consists of said longitudinal wing and said longitudinal groove for clipping an outer covering part. Preferably, said lateral profiled seal consists of said base and said bead.

[0022] Preferably, in the environment of said corner, said groove is in contact with said bead and / or said wing is in contact with said base.

[0023] The concept of "contact" within the meaning of the present invention is to be evaluated on the scale of the vehicle; in practice, it is possible that a space of 1 to 2, or even 3 mm is measurable. What is important is that, visually, said lateral profiled joint and said longitudinal profiled joint appear to be in contact with each other; such a space may, in absolute terms, cause a slight noise nuisance but in practice, this is acceptable.

[0024] Preferably, said end of the side profile seal is sharp beveled or obtuse beveled; in this case, it is easier to appear in contact than when the end of the side profile seal is straight.

[0025] Preferably, a lateral strip of primer is located between said base and said inner face, said lateral strip of primer extending in the environment of said corner.

[0026] Preferably, a longitudinal strip of primer is located between said wing and said inner face, said longitudinal strip of primer not extending into the environment of said corner.

[0027] So, preferably, the two primer strips do not overlap.

[0028] Preferably, said longitudinal strip of primer has a different composition from said lateral strip of primer.

[0029] Preferably, said groove is sharply beveled or obtusely beveled at at least one, and preferably two, end(s) of said longitudinal profiled joint, with preferably one, and preferably two, slot(s) between said wing and said base.

[0030] The invention further relates to a longitudinal profiled seal for the glazing according to the invention, remarkable in that said groove is sharply beveled or obtusely beveled at at least one end, and preferably at both ends. This configuration then makes it possible to reduce the empty space (without profiled seal), between the longitudinal profiled seal and the lateral profiled seal in the environment of the corner. The two different profiled seals can then be close, or even as close as possible, or even in contact with each other.

[0031] To facilitate the positioning of the longitudinal profiled joint, said wing preferably has a straight edge at at least one end, and preferably at both ends.

[0032] The invention further relates to a method for manufacturing a glazing unit according to the invention having an outer face, an inner face and an edge located between these two faces, a longitudinal edge, a lateral edge and a corner located between said longitudinal edge and said lateral edge, said glazing unit comprising several different profiled seals: - a longitudinal profiled seal having a longitudinal wing and a longitudinal groove for clipping a cover piece to said longitudinal profiled seal, said wing being fixed to said inner face along said longitudinal edge and said groove extending from said base further than said edge, - a lateral profiled seal having a base and a lateral bead, said base being fixed to said inner face along said lateral edge and said bead extending from said base further than said edge.

[0033] Said method is remarkable in that:- said longitudinal profiled joint is fixed to said inner face, then- said lateral profiled joint is fixed to said inner face,- and said end of the lateral profiled joint extends in the environment of said corner with said base which is located opposite said wing of the longitudinal profiled joint, or even opposite said groove of the longitudinal profiled joint.

[0034] The two different profiled joints can then be as close as possible, or even in contact with each other.

[0035] Preferably, before said longitudinal profiled joint is fixed to said inner face, a longitudinal strip of bonding primer is applied against said inner face, said longitudinal strip of bonding primer not extending into the environment of said corner.

[0036] Preferably, before said side profiled seal is fixed to said inner face, a side strip of bonding primer is applied against said inner face, said side strip of bonding primer extending into the environment of said corner.

[0037] Preferably, a step of adjusting said end is carried out before said longitudinal profiled joint is fixed to said inner face.

[0038] The method according to the invention has the advantage of being easier to implement than the methods of manufacturing glazing with several profiled joints of the prior art.

[0039] Several embodiments of the present invention will be described below, by way of non-limiting examples, with reference to the appended figures in which: - illustrates a front view of the external space of a glazing unit of the prior art; - represents a schematic view of the lower left corner of the glazing unit of the, seen from the internal space; - represents a schematic view in partial section, along a plane A-A', of the glazing unit of the; - represents a schematic view in partial section, along a plane B-B', of the glazing unit of the; and - represents a schematic view of a lower left corner, seen from the internal space, of a glazing unit according to an embodiment of the invention.

[0040] The present invention is described by way of example in the context of an application as fixed glazing 1 for a vehicle. This glazing closes a bay by creating a separation between an exterior space E, which is exterior to the vehicle, and an interior space I, which is interior to the vehicle. The notions of “exterior” and “interior” are therefore considered in relation, respectively, to the exterior space and the interior space.

[0041] The present invention is described, by way of non-limiting example, by being applied to a windshield glazing. With reference to the, the glazing is seen from the outside, oriented vertically as on a vehicle. In thethe glazing is shown schematically, in a view equivalent to a view of the interior space, the glazing not yet being installed in a bodywork bay (it is therefore not visible).

[0042] The glazing 1 comprises a glazed element 2. This glazed element may be monolithic, i.e. made up of a single sheet of material, or be composite, i.e. made up of several sheets of material between which is inserted at least one intermediate layer of adherent material, in the case of laminated glazing. The sheet(s) of material may be mineral, in particular glass, for example having undergone annealing or tempering, or organic, in particular plastic material such as polyvinyl butyral. The intermediate layer preferably contains at least one thermoplastic plastic material, preferably polyvinyl butyral (PVB), ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA), and / or polyethylene terephthalate (PET).However, the thermoplastic intermediate layer may also contain, for example, polyurethane (PU), polypropylene (PP), polyacrylate, polyethylene (PE), polycarbonate (PC), polymethyl methacrylate, polyvinyl chloride, polyacetate resin, casting resins, acrylates, fluorinated ethylene-propylene, polyvinyl fluoride and / or ethylene-tetrafluoroethylene, or copolymers or mixtures thereof. The thermoplastic intermediate layer may be formed from one or more superimposed thermoplastic films, the thickness of a thermoplastic film preferably not exceeding 1.0 mm, in particular from 0.25 mm or 0.5 mm to 1.0 mm or 0.9 mm, typically around 0.4 mm or 0.7 mm.

[0043] The glazing may form a windshield or a side window of a vehicle. The vehicle may be a land vehicle, such as a car, truck, bus, tram, or rail vehicle. It may be a fixed glazing unit (not mobile in the vehicle's frame of reference). The glazing unit is preferably positioned vertically or essentially vertically in the vehicle's frame of reference.

[0044] In the context of this document, the notion of "centripetal" and that of "centrifugal" is to be considered in relation to the central longitudinal axis of advance of the vehicle equipped with the glazing according to the invention as a windshield, that is to say the axis generally called "the X-X' axis" of the vehicle, which is perpendicular to the plane of the sheet of the; the centrifugal direction is perpendicular to this axis and in the direction of this axis while the centripetal direction is perpendicular to this axis and opposite, moving away from this axis.

[0045] In the illustrated embodiment, the glazing 1 comprises a glazed element 2 which is curved (i.e. not flat) and laminated. However, for simplicity, it is considered in the figures that the glazed element 2 is flat.

[0046] The glazed element 2 has an outer face 20 which is oriented towards the outside E, an inner face 22 which is oriented towards the inside I and an edge 21 located between these two faces.

[0047] The glazed element 2 has a longitudinal edge 23, bottom, a lateral edge 24, left, a longitudinal edge 25, top and a lateral edge 26, right.

[0048] The glazed element 2 has two lower corners 27, 27', located: - for the corner 27 between the longitudinal edge 23, bottom, and the lateral edge 24, and visible in, of the interior space I, - and for the corner 27' between the longitudinal edge 23, bottom, and the lateral edge 26.

[0049] Glazing 1 includes several different profiled seals 6, 8, detailed further on.

[0050] The glazed element 2 is a laminated glazed element which comprises, as visible in the vertical sectional view A-A' of the and horizontal sectional view B-B' of the, an outer glass sheet 3, an inner glass sheet 5 and an interlayer sheet of plastic material 4 located between said two glass sheets.

[0051] However, it is possible that at least one other sheet is interposed between the outer glass sheet 3 and the interlayer sheet of plastic material 4 or between the interlayer sheet of plastic material 4 and the inner glass sheet 5.

[0052] The outer glass sheet 3 has an outer face 30 which is oriented towards the exterior E, an intermediate face 32 which is oriented towards the intermediate sheet of plastic material 4, and an edge 31 located between these two faces.

[0053] The inner glass sheet 5 has an interlayer face 50 which is oriented towards the interlayer sheet of plastic material 4, an inner face 52 which is oriented towards the interior I and an edge 51 located between these two faces.

[0054] The plastic interlayer sheet 4 has an outer interlayer face 40 which is oriented towards the interlayer face 32 and which is here in contact with this interlayer face 32, an inner interlayer face 42 which is oriented towards the interlayer face 50 and which is here in contact with this interlayer face 50, as well as an edge 41 which is located between these two interlayer faces 32, 42.

[0055] The glazed element 2 thus has an outer face 20 produced by the outer face 30 of the outer glass sheet 3, an inner face 22 produced by the inner face 52 of the inner glass sheet 5 and an edge 21 located between these two faces, corresponding to the edge 31 of the outer glass sheet 3, to the edge 41 of the plastic sheet 4 and to the edge 51 of the inner glass sheet 5, these three edges being here in continuity with each other.

[0056] The glazing 1 comprises, in addition to the glazed element 2, along at least a portion of the lower longitudinal edge, and preferably along the entire lower longitudinal edge, a longitudinal profiled seal 6 visible in detail in, having a longitudinal wing 60 and a longitudinal groove 61 for clipping a cover piece 7 external to said longitudinal profiled seal 3 (here on the longitudinal profiled seal 3 in an external-internal direction).

[0057] The glazing 1 comprises, in addition to the glazed element 2 and the longitudinal profiled seal 6, along at least part of a lateral edge, and preferably along the entirety of this lateral edge, a lateral profiled seal 8, visible in detail in, having a lateral base 80 and a lateral bead 81 for sealing between a lateral body pillar (not illustrated) and the lateral edge (here the lateral edge 24) of the glazed element. The lateral bead 81 may also have an acoustic insulation function.

[0058] As visible up to now, in the environment of a corner 27, here the lower left corner having a radius of curvature R1 for example of 50 mm, the longitudinal profiled joint 6 and the lateral profiled joint 8 are present without touching each other; a distance of at least 1 centimeter, and often of several centimeters is provided between an end 62, here left, of the longitudinal profiled joint 6 and an end 82, here low, of the lateral profiled joint 8. The lateral profiled joint 8 is detailed later.

[0059] The wing 60 is fixed to the inner face 22 along the longitudinal edge 23, bottom, and the groove 61 extends from the wing 60 further than the edge 21, in a centrifugal direction.

[0060] The wing 60 is located further towards the interior space than the interior face 22 of the glazed element.

[0061] The wing 60 is integral with the groove 61; it is located near the bottom of the groove, outside of it and extends in a centripetal direction.

[0062] Seen in cross-section, an adhesion strip 69 which is located on the wing 60, makes it possible to bond the inner wing 60, and therefore the longitudinal profiled seal 6, to the inner face 22 of the glazed element.

[0063] As seen in, until now, both ends of the longitudinal profile joint were each with a straight edge, i.e. with an edge cut perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the longitudinal profile joint. Sometimes this longitudinal profile joint was curved after these straight cuts at its ends; despite this, the ends of the longitudinal profile joint were considered to be straight.

[0064] The cover piece 7 comprises, seen in cross section, a harpoon 70 penetrating into the groove 60 when clipped.

[0065] The groove 60 has a mouth and a bottom: when the cover piece 7 is clipped, the harpoon 70 enters the groove 60 through the mouth and towards the bottom; generally, in the clipped position, the harpoon 70 does not touch the bottom of the groove.

[0066] The mouth of the groove, through which the harpoon 70 is introduced, is formed by two drains: a centrifugal drain 67, located to the left of the harpoon 70 on the and a centripetal drain 68, located to the right of the harpoon 70 on these same figures. These two drains are intended to guide the harpoon 70 precisely towards the bottom of the groove 60 when clipping the harpoon 70.

[0067] The cover piece 7 is intended to be positioned further outward than the profiled seal 6 and to cover it at least in part when the glazing 1 is seen from the outside E.

[0068] The groove 60 extends along the lower edge of the glazed element, more centrifugal than the edge 21 of the glazed element 2, that is to say under the edge 21 when the glazing is considered vertical, as in.

[0069] The mouth of the groove is oriented towards the outer space E.

[0070] The bottom of the groove 60 can be located further inside than the inner face 22 of the glazed element; this does not hinder the positioning of the glazing in the bodywork bay because there is space under the inner face 22.

[0071] The two groove mouth drains are each hammer-shaped with the heads almost opposite each other, the centrifugal drain 67 being located slightly further outward than the centripetal drain 68.

[0072] The harpoon is double: it is made up, seen in cross-section, of two bosses oriented opposite each other and offset, the centrifugal boss, intended to come under the centrifugal drain 67 being located slightly further out than the centripetal boss intended to come under the centripetal drain 68.

[0073] The clipping thus consists of the penetration of the harpoon 70 inside the groove 60 and more precisely of the two bosses of the harpoon inside the groove 60 and under the two drains.

[0074] For correct retention, the width of the mouth, at the shortest point between the two drains, is less than the width of the two bosses at the widest point.

[0075] It is important to note that this clipping of the harpoon 70 of the cover piece 7 in the groove 60 of the longitudinal profiled seal 6 is carried out well after the fixing of the longitudinal profiled seal 6 to the glazed element 2; in fact, the glazing 1 is delivered to the car manufacturer or to the car repairer with the longitudinal profiled seal 6 fixed to the glazed element and it is only after the glazing 1 has been glued in the bodywork bay that the harpoon 70 is clipped into the groove 60.

[0076] The material constituting the groove 60 may be reinforced by the presence, inside, of a tenon 66, such as for example a metal insert, which makes it possible to increase the rigidity of the groove. This tenon may for example be an aluminum profile with a thickness of 0.4 mm. It increases the rigidity of the groove 60.

[0077] Seen in cross-section, the outer face 20 of the glazed element 2 is preferably free opposite the groove 61.

[0078] The profiled seal 6 is prefabricated before being fixed to the glazed element: it is manufactured by extrusion through an extrusion die, then is curved along its length to conform to the general shape of the lower part of the glazed element along its length, then is fixed to the glazed element.

[0079] To fix the profiled seal 6 to the glazed element 2, it is recommended: - to position the groove 61 against the edge 21, - then to adhere the profiled seal to the glazed element 2.

[0080] This adhesion can be achieved using the adhesion strip 69 formed by a layer of glue or an adhesive tape and in particular a double-sided adhesive tape, which is located on an outer face of the inner wing 60.

[0081] For good adhesion, it is preferable to provide a longitudinal strip of primer 65, between the wing 60 and the inner face 22. This longitudinal strip of primer 65 follows the dimension and shape of the adhesion strip 69; the longitudinal strip of primer 65 is at least as wide as the adhesion strip 69.

[0082] The longitudinal strip of primer 65 is applied against the inner face 22 before the longitudinal profiled seal 6 is fixed to the inner face 22, to allow good adhesion of the wing 60 to the inner face 22.

[0083] The 60 wing has a width of l 60 , between 5.0 and 20.0 mm, or even between 8.0 and 15.0 mm, especially 12 mm. This width is sufficient to allow the inner wing to be held securely against the inner glass sheet.

[0084] In the embodiment illustrated in, the cover piece 7 is intended to be positioned further outward than the profiled seal 6 and to cover it only partially when the glazing 1 is seen from the outside E; the centripetal drain 68 constitutes a lip whose outer face is both in continuity (“flush”, in English) with the outer face 20 of the glazed element and in continuity (“flush”, in English) with the outer face of the cover piece 7.

[0085] The glazed element 2 is manufactured before the longitudinal profiled seal 6 is fixed to the glazed element 2 and before the lateral profiled seal 8 is fixed to the glazed element 2, i.e. the lamination of the glass sheets 3, 5 with the plastic sheet in order to form a laminated glazing unit is carried out before the profiled seal 6 is fixed to the glazed element 2.

[0086] The lateral profiled seal 8 is arranged on only part of the periphery of the glazing 1: it is present at least at the bottom of the left and right lateral edges, respectively 24, 26 of the glazed element and preferably along the entirety of these left and right lateral edges; it is also preferably along the entirety of the upper longitudinal edge 25.

[0087] The material constituting the lateral profiled seal 8 may be a polymer material such as a thermoplastic (PVC, TPE, etc.), a polyurethane or even a synthetic rubber of the EPDM type or any other suitable flexible plastic material.

[0088] The lateral profiled seal 8 is preferably manufactured by implementing a manufacturing process called “extrusion” because it includes a step of depositing the lateral profiled seal 8 in situ, already with its profiled shape, directly against the inner face 22. It can be prefabricated before its attachment to the glazed element: it is then manufactured by extrusion through an extrusion die, then is attached to the glazed element.

[0089] As for the longitudinal profiled joint 6, for good adhesion, it is preferable to provide a lateral strip of primer 88, between the base 80 and the inner face 22. This lateral strip of primer 88 follows the dimension and the shape of the base 80; the lateral strip of primer 88 is at least as wide as the base 80.

[0090] The lateral strip of primer 88 is applied against the inner face 22, before the lateral profiled seal 8 is fixed to the inner face 22, to allow good adhesion of the base 80 to the inner face 22.

[0091] The lateral strip of primer 88 here has a different composition from that of the longitudinal strip of primer 65.

[0092] The bead 81 here has a lip 87 which extends along the lateral profiled seal 8. Before the glazing is fixed in the bodywork opening, the lip 87 extends substantially from the edge 21 in a centrifugal direction after the base 80. When the glazing is fixed in the bodywork opening, the lip 87 deforms (here upwards), to come into contact with the opening.

[0093] Illustrates a solution for which the longitudinal profiled joint 6 extends in the environment of the corner 27 with, in the environment of this corner 27: - one end 89 of the lateral profiled joint extends in the environment of the corner 27 with the base 80 which is thus located opposite the wing 60 of the longitudinal profiled joint 6, and even which extends opposite the groove 61 up to the corner between the end 62 of the longitudinal joint 6 and the centrifugal edge of the longitudinal groove 61, and - the wing 60 and the groove 61 which do not extend in the environment of the corner 27.

[0094] The end 89 (here the lower end) is thus in contact, or almost in contact (with a maximum space of 2 mm, or even 3 mm), with the end 62 (here the left end) of the longitudinal profiled joint 6.

[0095] Thus, the longitudinal profiled joint 6 is present directly above the lateral profiled joint 8.

[0096] In, the end 89 is sharply beveled, with the tip of the bevel facing the corner between the end 62 of the longitudinal seal 6 and the centrifugal edge of the longitudinal groove 61.

[0097] The groove 61 is sharply beveled at the end 62, preferably with a slot 63 between the wing 60 and the base 80.

[0098] Only the end (the edge) of the groove 61 is beveled; the end (the edge) of the wing 60 is straight, that is to say perpendicular to the general longitudinal direction of the longitudinal profiled joint 6 (or at least perpendicular to the general longitudinal direction of the longitudinal profiled joint 6 before any curvature at the ends). Thus, the space between the longitudinal profiled joint and the lateral profiled joint is minimized; the surface area of the wing facing the inner face 22 is maximized.

[0099] Because the bead 81 is intended to be compressed against a bodywork upright, it may be preferable for the end 62 to stop approximately 2 mm before the end 89 of the lateral profiled seal 8 so as not to be itself compressed during installation of the glazing in the bodywork bay.

[0100] A slot 63 may be present between the part of the wing 60 (here to the right of the slot 63) which is fixed to the inner face 22 and the base 80 (here to the left of the slot 63).

[0101] This slot 63 can furthermore facilitate the removal of the adhesion strip 69 in the part of the end 62 to prevent the wing from adhering to the inner face 22 in this part; it can also facilitate the application and removal (here to the left of the slot) of a tool intended to indirectly press (here to the right of the slot), for example by a marouflage operation, the wing 60 against the inner face 22 when gluing the longitudinal profiled joint 6 in its part other than the end 62.

[0102] Preferably, the two ends 62 of the longitudinal profiled seal are identical; they are preferably both sharply beveled, facing upwards; preferably for these two ends, only the grooves have beveled edges at the ends: the wings have straight edges at the ends. For the glazing 1, there are two slots 63, one at each end of the longitudinal profiled seal.

[0103] In the context of the invention, the lateral profiled seal 8 is preferably present along the entire perimeter of the glazed element 2, except in the part of this perimeter where the longitudinal profiled seal 6 is present.

[0104] Preferably, within the scope of the invention: - the longitudinal profiled joint 6 is fixed first to the inner face 22, preferably after having applied the lateral strip of primer 68, then - the lateral profiled joint 8 is fixed second to the inner face 22, preferably after having applied the lateral strip of primer 88 - with the end 89 of the lateral profiled joint 8 which extends in the environment of the corner 27 in such a way that the base 80 is located opposite the wing 60 of the longitudinal profiled joint 6, or even that this base 80 extends even lower, opposite the groove 61 of the longitudinal profiled joint 6.

[0105] Thus, the end 89 constitutes a precise and reliable reference point for the subsequent fixing of the longitudinal profile 6; the fixing of the two profiles can thus be carried out very quickly, with very great precision. It is easy to repeat from one glazing to another.

[0106] Before the longitudinal profiled joint 6 is fixed to the inner face 22, it is possible to adjust the end 62 and in particular adjust the two opposite ends of the longitudinal profiled joint 6 so that this longitudinal profiled joint 6 is well centered laterally.
