Description

[Technical Field]

[0001] The present disclosure relates to a cigarette butt collection wrapping material using a multi-layer paper sheet, and more particularly, to a cigarette butt collection wrapping material capable of easily accommodating and sealing a cigarette butt by using a multi-layer paper sheet, and a method of manufacturing the same.[Background Art]

[0002] When walking along the streets, cigarette butts discarded by smokers are often visible, and in particular, cigarette butts are frequently seen piled up in sewer drains and rainwater gutters.

[0003] The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that two-thirds of all cigarettes sold worldwide are discarded on the ground as cigarette butts, and that more than 6 trillion cigarettes are produced annually, of which 4 trillion cigarette butts are discarded.

[0004] In particular, in 2018, 3.47 billion packs, or about 70 billion cigarettes, were sold in South Korea. Assuming that two-thirds of those cigarettes were discarded, it is estimated that more than 46 billion cigarette butts were discarded in South Korea last year, with 8.7 billion cigarette butts discarded improperly in Seoul alone. Cigarette butts carelessly discarded on the ground are a major cause of rainwater drain back flow during the rainy season. According to a report, in 2018, the city of Seoul incurred about 7 billion won in rainwater drain maintenance costs.

[0005] In addition, one-third of marine debris collected from beaches around the world over the past 32 years was cigarette butts. According to the Korea Marine Rescue Service, cigarette butts accounted for 21% of the debris collected from 32 beaches and seabeds nationwide between January and September 2018. While campaigns to reduce plastic straws are being conducted worldwide, it has been confirmed that straws account for only 0.02% of marine waste. Cigarette butts are known to cause far more serious problems than plastic bags or plastic bottles. Furthermore, cigarette butts flow into rivers and oceans, where the cigarette butts are converted into micro-plastics and destroy lake and marine ecosystems. Cigarette butts not only spoil the appearance of cities, but also cause blockages in sewage systems.

[0006] Previously, various methods have been studied to safely collect and process cigarette butts in order to solve the problem of cigarette butts being discarded illegally.

[0007] For example, Korean Utility Model Registration No. 20-0345595 relates to a cigarette pack equipped with a cigarette butt collection bag and discloses the configuration related to the cigarette pack equipped with the cigarette butt collection bag, in which the cigarette butt collection bag may accommodate cigarette butts and be sealed at an upper side thereof, and the bag is installed on one or two surfaces of front and lateral surfaces at one position between the cigarette and a foil, between the foil and an outer packaging of the cigarette pack, or between the outer packaging of the cigarette pack and a cellophane sheet.

[0008] However, the bag-type structures disclosed in the related art, such as Document 1, have structures that make it difficult to accommodate the cigarette butts, which causes a problem of a deterioration in convenience of use. Therefore, there is a need for studies related to methods of solving the problem.[Documents of Related Art][Patent Documents]

[0009] Korean Utility Model Registration No. 20-0345595 (published on March 18, 2004) Korean Utility Model Registration No. 20-0290979 (published on October 4, 2002) Korean Utility Model Application Laid-Open No. 20-2009-0002831 (published on March 23, 2009) [Disclosure] [Technical Problem]

[0031] Hereinafter, the present disclosure will be described in detail.

[0032] FIG. 1 is a conceptual view illustrating a structure of a multi-layer paper sheet and a cigarette butt collection bag 10 that is an example of a cigarette butt collection wrapping material according to the present disclosure.

[0033] With reference to FIG. 1, the cigarette butt collection bag 10 according to the present disclosure is manufactured by using a multi-layer paper sheet 100 and has a structure with a bag shape having an opening portion 14 at one side thereof to accommodate a cigarette butt.

[0034] The smoke components emitted from cigarette butts contain Group 1 carcinogens (substances known to cause cancer in humans) such as acetaldehyde, 2-naphthylamine, 4-aminobiphenyl, benzene, toluene, ethylene oxide, 1,1-dimethylhydrazine, arsenic, beryllium, nickel, chromium, cadmium, and polonium-210, as well as over 70 other carcinogenic substances.

[0035] In addition, the smoke components emitted from cigarette butts contain approximately 7,000 toxic and harmful substances, including nicotine, which causes addiction, as well as acetic acid, catechol, acrolein, and acetone. Therefore, the sealability of the bag has a significant impact on the surrounding environment.

[0036] Therefore, the multi-layer paper sheet 100 used to manufacture the bag 10 may have a structure capable of tightly sealing the cigarette butt to prevent offensive odor from being discharged to the outside, and ensuring sufficient flame resistance to prevent the occurrence of a fire caused by the cigarette butt.

[0037] To this end, the multi-layer paper sheet 100 having a structure including a metal sheet layer 110, a first adhesive layer 120, a second adhesive layer 130, a first paper sheet layer 140, and a second paper sheet layer 150 may be used.

[0038] A configuration of the multi-layer paper sheet 100 will be described in detail. The metal sheet layer 110 may be formed by using an aluminum sheet and have a thickness of 1 to 1,000 µm.

[0039] In case that the thickness of the metal sheet layer 110 is less than 1 µm, there may occur a problem in that the sealability of the multi-layer paper sheet deteriorates. In case that the thickness is more than 1,000 µm, there may occur a problem in that it is difficult to achieve a reduction in weight of the multi-layer paper sheet 10.

[0040] Particularly, the metal sheet layer 110 may have a thickness of 3 to 500 µm, and more particularly, the metal sheet layer 110 may have a thickness of 5 to 30 µm.

[0041] In the multi-layer paper sheet 100, the first adhesive layer 120 and the second adhesive layer 130 bond the metal sheet layer 110 and the paper sheet layers 140 and 150 to be described below to constitute the multi-layer paper sheet 100. The first adhesive layer 120 and the second adhesive layer 130 may be formed by using a adhesive composition containing modified polyolefin resin.

[0042] In the modified polyolefin adhesive, unmodified polyolefin resin grafted with a modifier containing α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid or derivatives thereof is characterized by excellent adhesiveness to other sheet layers and high resistance to heat and chemical components.

[0043] Specifically, the modified polyolefin resin is a resin containing a portion derived from an unmodified polyolefin resin and a graft portion derived from a modifier, and is preferably obtained by graft polymerizing a modifier containing α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid or a derivative thereof in the presence of the unmodified polyolefin resin. The manufacture of modified polyolefin resin by graft polymerization may be carried out by known methods, and a radical initiator may be used during the manufacturing process.

[0044] Specifically, the method for manufacturing the modified polyolefin resin mentioned above includes, for example, a solution method, in which unmodified polyolefin resin is heated and dissolved in a solvent such as toluene, and the modifier and radical initiator are added, or a melting method, in which the unmodified polyolefin resin, modifier, and radical initiator are melted and blended using equipment such as a Banbury mixer, kneader, or extruder. The method of using unmodified polyolefin resin, modifier, and radical initiator is not particularly limited, and these may be added to the reaction system all at once or in stages.

[0045] To manufacture the modified polyolefin resin described above, a modification agent for improving the grafting efficiency of α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid and a stabilizer for adjusting the stability of the resin may be additionally used.

[0046] Unmodified polyolefin resins are not specifically limited as long as they have structural units derived from olefins, but it is preferable to use homopolymers or copolymers of ethylene, propylene, butene, pentene, hexene, heptene, octene, 4-methyl-1-pentene, and other monomers with a carbon number of 2 to 20. In the present disclosure, a homopolymer or copolymer of an olefin with a carbon number of 2 or more and 6 or less is particularly preferred. The content ratio of structural units in unmodified polyolefin resins may be arbitrarily selected. However, when bonding to non-adhesive substrates, modified polyolefin resins are preferably modified resins of ethylene-propylene, propylene-butene, or ethylene-propylene-butene copolymers.

[0047] In addition, in order to obtain particularly excellent adhesiveness, it is desirable to use an unmodified polyolefin resin containing a propylene unit content of 50 mol% or more and 98 mol% or less. When the content ratio of propylene units is within the above-mentioned range, flexibility may be imparted to the adhesive portion after bonding the two members. In addition, the molecular weight of the unmodified polyolefin resin is not particularly limited.

[0048] The modifier contains α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acids and derivatives thereof. Examples of α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acids may include maleic acid, fumaric acid, tetrahydrophthalic acid, itaconic acid, citraconic acid, crotonic acid, aconitic acid, novononic acid, and the like. In addition, examples of derivatives of unsaturated polycarboxylic acids may include acid anhydrides, acid halides, amides, imides, esters, and the like. As the modifier, anhydrous itaconic acid, anhydrous maleic acid, anhydrous aconitic acid, and anhydrous citric acid are preferred, and anhydrous itaconic acid and anhydrous maleic acid are particularly preferred in terms of adhesiveness. When using the modifier, it is preferable to select one or more types from α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acids and derivatives thereof, or a combination of one or more types of α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acids and one or more types of derivatives thereof, a combination of two or more types of α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acids, or a combination of two or more types of derivatives of α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acids.

[0049] The modifier according to the present disclosure may further contain other compounds (other modifiers) in addition to α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acids and the like, depending on the purpose. Examples of other compounds (other modifiers) may include (meth)acrylic acid esters, (meth)acrylic acid, other (meth)acrylic acid derivatives, aromatic vinyl compounds, cyclohexyl vinyl ether, and the like represented by Chemical Formula 1 below. These other compounds may be used alone or in combination with two or more other compounds.         [Chemical Formula 1]     CH 2 =CR 1< COOR 2< (In the formula, R 1< is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, and R 2< is an alkyl group of C1-20.)

[0050] Specifically, R 1< is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, preferably a methyl group. R 2< is a hydrocarbon group, preferably an alkyl group with a carbon number of 1 to 20. Examples of the compounds represented by Chemical Formula 1 above may include (meth)acrylic acid methyl, (meth)acrylic acid ethyl, (meth)acrylic acid propyl, (meth)acrylic acid butyl, (meth)acrylic acid pentyl, (meth)acrylic acid hexyl, (meth)acrylic acid heptyl, (meth)acrylic acid octyl, (meth)acrylic acid decyl, (meth)acrylic acid lauryl, (meth)acrylic acid tridecyl, (meth)acrylic acid stearyl, (meth)acrylic acid cyclohexyl, (meth)acrylic acid benzyl, and the like. These compounds may be used alone or in combination with two or more compounds.

[0051] In the present disclosure, in terms of improving heat-resistant adhesiveness, it is preferable to use a modifier containing (meth)acrylic acid esters having alkyl groups with a carbon number of 8 to 18, and particularly preferable are those containing (meth)acrylic acid octyl, (meth)acrylic acid lauryl, (meth)acrylic acid tridecyl, or (meth)acrylic acid stearyl.

[0052] Examples of (meth)acrylic acid derivatives other than (meth)acrylic acid esters may include (meth)acrylic acid hydroxyethyl, (meth)acrylic acid glycidyl, (meth)acrylic acid containing isocyanate, and the like. Examples of aromatic vinyl compounds may include styrene, o-methylstyrene, p-methylstyrene, α-methylstyrene, and the like. As the modifier, it is possible to improve the grafting rate by using α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid or derivatives thereof in combination with other modifiers, improve solubility in solvents, or further improve adhesiveness. In addition, when using other modifiers other than (meta)acrylic acid esters represented by Formula 1, it is desirable that the usage amount does not exceed the total amount of α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acids and derivatives thereof and (meta)acrylic acid esters.

[0053] As described above, the modified polyolefin resin has at least a graft portion derived from the modifier. Hereinafter, the content ratio of the graft portion contained in the modified polyolefin resin (hereinafter also referred to as "graft mass") will be described.

[0054] The modified polyolefin resin has a graft portion derived from α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid or derivatives thereof. In the modified polyolefin resin, the graft mass of the graft portion derived from α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid or derivatives thereof is preferably 0.1 to 20 mass%, and more preferably 0.2 to 18 mass% based on 100 mass% of the modified polyolefin resin in terms of adhesiveness. When the graft mass is 0.1 mass% or more, solubility in solvents is excellent, and adhesiveness to substrates made of metals and other materials is particularly excellent. In addition, when the graft mass is 20 mass% or less, sufficient adhesiveness to the substrate made of resin and the like may be obtained.

[0055] The graft mass derived from α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acids or derivatives thereof in modified polyolefin resins may be determined by alkaline titration. However, when the derivatives of α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acids are imides or other compounds that do not possess an acid group, the graft mass may be determined by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy.

[0056] The weight average molecular weight (Mw) of the modified polyolefin resin is preferably 30,000 to 250,000, and more preferably 50,000 to 200,000. When the weight average molecular weight (Mw) satisfies the above-mentioned range, the adhesive composition exhibits excellent solubility in the solvent and initial adhesiveness to the substrate, as well as excellent content retention in the adhesive layer after adhesiveness.

[0057] The acid value of the modified polyolefin resin is preferably 0.1 to 50 mg KOH / g, more preferably 0.5 to 40 mg KOH / g, and most preferably 1.0 to 30 mg KOH / g. When the acid value satisfies the above-mentioned range, the adhesive composition is sufficiently cured, resulting in excellent adhesiveness, heat resistance, and resin flowability.

[0058] In addition, the composition forming the adhesive layer may further include an antimicrobial polymer to increase the antimicrobial properties of the entire wrapping material.

[0059] The antimicrobial polymers have excellent bactericidal and antimicrobial properties due to their cationic functional groups such as amine groups. Specifically, the bactericidal and antimicrobial effects of the amine group are manifested through oligodynamic action. Also known as trace bactericidal action, the oligodynamic action refers to an effect in which colloids strongly bind to sulfhydryl groups (-SH) within the cell protoplasm, thereby inhibiting the redox system. When bacteria or fungi pass over the surface of the antimicrobial component, the antimicrobial component disrupts the metabolic processes of the microorganisms, resulting in death of the microorganisms within a few hours.

[0060] Examples of the antimicrobial polymers may include, more preferably, chitosan. The chitosan is a major component of the shells of insects and crustaceans, and may be extracted from the shells of shellfish such as oysters, abalone, scallops, cockles, mussels, short-necked clams, clams, and bar clams, as well as from the exoskeletons of insects.

[0061] Generally, chitin is a major component of the exoskeleton of crustaceans and is a type of mucopolysaccharide composed of N-acetyl-D-glucosamine linked in a β-1,4 configuration. Chitin is deacetylated to produce chitosan. These chitin and chitosan are not only non-toxic, but also natural cationic polymers that are involved in biological synthesis and decomposition, and therefore do not cause environmental pollution. In addition, the function of chitin and chitosan derivatives as natural antimicrobial agents is also emerging as one of the applications of chitosan. In this regard, Sudarshan et al. reported that chitosan lactate and chitosan hydroglutamate, which are chitosan derivatives, are excellent antimicrobial substances against common intestinal bacteria.

[0062] However, because the chitosan may reduce the adhesive properties of the adhesive layer when mixed with the modified polyolefin resin described above, it is preferable to use it in combination with one or more catechol compounds.

[0063] The catechol compounds refer to compounds having a structure in which two hydroxyl groups are bonded to a benzene ring, and these hydroxyl groups react with the functional groups of the modified polyolefin resin described above to further enhance adhesiveness to the substrate and heat resistance.

[0064] Examples of such catechol compounds may include any one or more selected from a group consisting of L-dopa, pyrogallol, dopamine, pyrocatechol, norepinephrine, and 3,4-dihydroxycinnamic acid (DHCA), and may preferably be dopamine.

[0065] Catechol compounds may be single compounds, but any form of compound is possible as long as they exist within the molecular structure. For example, catechol compounds may have catechol organic compounds attached as functional groups to the main chain or side chains of polymers.

[0066] The antimicrobial polymers and catechol compounds may be mixed with the chitosan without limiting the addition amount, but it is preferable that they contain 10 to 30 parts by weight and 1 to 10 parts by weight, respectively, relative to 100 parts by weight of the modified polyolefin resin. When the addition amounts of the above-mentioned components are less than the above-mentioned ranges, the antibacterial properties and adhesive properties of the composition may be reduced. When the addition amounts exceed the above-mentioned ranges, the processability and brittleness of the adhesive layer may increase, which may cause peeling of the sheet.

[0067] In addition, the adhesive composition may further include one or more cationic polymer particles to enhance antimicrobial properties, adhesiveness, and heat resistance as needed.

[0068] The cationic polymer particles contain a large number of cationic functional groups that may chemically bond with the modified polyolefin resin and antibacterial polymer described above, thereby increasing the bonding strength between components and enhancing adhesiveness. In addition, the cationic polymer particles may further enhance the antibacterial properties of the wrapping material by exhibiting the above-mentioned trace element action.

[0069] The cationic polymer particles may contain a cationic polymer in which one or more cation exchange groups selected from a group consisting of sulfonic acid groups, carboxyl groups, and phosphate groups are substituted. These cationic polymers may also have a weight-average molecular weight of 10,000 to 500,000, specifically include any one or more selected from a group consisting of sulfonated tetrafluoroethylene-based polymers, sulfonated polyimide (sPI), sulfonated poly(arylene ether sulfone) (sPAES), sulfonated polyetheretherketone (sPEEK), sulfonated polyetherketone (sPEK), poly(vinylidene fluoride)-graft-poly(styrene sulfonic acid) (PVDFg-PSSA), and sulfonated poly(fluorenyl ether ketone).

[0070] The cationic polymer particles are not limited in size, but it is desirable that the size may be 10 µm or less, and more preferably the cationic polymer particle may have an average particle size of 1 to 5 µm.

[0071] The cationic polymer particles are preferably contained in an amount of 1 to 5 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the modified polyolefin resin. It is desirable that the addition amount within the above-mentioned range exhibits improved adhesiveness and antibacterial properties.

[0072] The first adhesive layer 120 and the second adhesive layer 130 may each have a thickness of 5 to 1,000 µm. In case that the thickness of each of the first adhesive layer 120 and the second adhesive layer 130 is less than 5 µm, the bonding force between the metal sheet layer 110 and the paper sheet layers 140 and 150 to be described below is not sufficient, which causes a problem in that the metal sheet layer 110 and the paper sheet layers 140 and 150 are easily peeled off In case that the thickness of each of the first adhesive layer 120 and the second adhesive layer 130 is more than 1,000 µm, non-uniform pores may occur, which makes it difficult to implement the multi-layer paper sheet 100 with uniform physical properties and achieve a reduction in weight of the multi-layer paper sheet 100.

[0073] The first paper sheet layer 140 and the second paper sheet layer 150 are respectively formed on a top surface of the first adhesive layer 120 and a top surface of the second adhesive layer 130 to constitute the multi-layer paper sheet.

[0074] The first paper sheet layer 140 and the second paper sheet layer 150 may be formed using paper sheets including a roll paper sheet, kraft paper, wax paper, Hanji, white board paper, thin paper, white paper, corrugated paper, and porous paper, and preferably, the roll paper sheet may be used.

[0075] The first paper sheet layer 140 and the second paper sheet layer 150 may be coated with ink on top surfaces thereof to form designs, patterns, characters, images, and the like, and designs, patterns, characters, images, and the like may be formed on the surface by conventional printing methods such as offset printing, gravure printing, or flexographic printing.

[0076] The first paper sheet layer 140 and the second paper sheet layer 150 may each have a thickness of 5 to 1,000 µm. In case that the thickness of each of the first paper sheet layer 140 and the second paper sheet layer 150 is less than 5 µm, there may occur a problem in that the durability and processability of the paper sheet deteriorate. In case that the thickness of each of the first paper sheet layer 140 and the second paper sheet layer 150 is more than 1,000 µm, there may occur a problem in that the bonding force decreases, and it is difficult to achieve a reduction in weight of the multi-layer paper sheet.

[0077] Particularly, the first paper sheet layer 140 and the second paper sheet layer 150 may each have a thickness of 10 to 100 µm, more particularly, 30 to 80 µm.

[0078] In addition, according to the present disclosure, the multi-layer paper sheet 100 may further include a strength reinforcement layer (not illustrated) having a mesh structure between the first adhesive layer 120 and the first paper sheet layer 140 or between the second adhesive layer 130 and the second paper sheet layer 150.

[0079] The strength reinforcement layer serves to improve dimensional stability of the multi-layer paper sheet. The strength reinforcement layer may be formed by introducing a fabric material with a mesh structure, such as a net, by weaving or knitting textile fibers, such as glass fibers, carbon fibers, basalt fibers, and polyamide fibers, into a net shape, and a fabric material with a thickness of 0.1 to 500 µm may be introduced.

[0080] In addition, the multi-layer paper sheet 100 according to the present disclosure may be configured to further include a polyethylene resin coating layer for the purpose of heat resistance, flame retardancy, tobacco odor blocking, oxygen inflow prevention, moisture blocking, and ensuring sealability. However, the present disclosure is not limited thereto.

[0081] The multi-layer paper sheet 100 according to the present disclosure may be manufactured by a typical method of manufacturing the multi-layer paper sheet 100 by applying the adhesive onto two opposite surfaces of the metal sheet layer 110, placing the paper sheet onto the top surface of the adhesive, and then drying and curing the adhesive.

[0082] Alternatively, the multi-layer paper sheet may be manufactured by a method of disposing an adhesive sheet on two opposite surfaces of the metal sheet layer 110, stacking the aper sheet on the top surface of the adhesive sheet, drying the stack for 30 to 60 seconds at a temperature of 70 to 120°C, and then drying and curing the adhesive sheet.

[0083] The cigarette butt collection bag 10 is manufactured by folding and joining the multi-layer paper sheet 100. The cigarette butt collection bag 10 has the structure having the opening portion at one side thereof to accommodate a cigarette butt. The cigarette butt collection bag 10 may have a typical bag structure with various shapes including a front surface portion 11, a rear surface portion 12, junction portions 13, and the opening portion 14 (see FIG. 1).

[0084] In addition, the cigarette butt collection bag 10 may further include a cover portion 15 protruding upward from the front surface portion 11 or the rear surface portion 12. The cover portion 15 may constitute a structure that tightly seals the opening portion 14. An adhesive layer may be provided at an upper side of the cover portion 15, so that the cover portion 15 may be folded and strongly bonded to one side of the front surface portion 11.

[0085] The structure of the cigarette butt collection bag 10 according to the present disclosure will be described in detail. As illustrated in FIG. 2, a cigarette butt collection bag 10a according to the exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure may be a first bag structure 10a having a bag shape, having a structure including a front surface portion 11a, a rear surface portion 12a, junction portions 13a, and an opening portion 14a, and manufactured by joining first and second multi-layer paper sheets having quadrangular structures. The first bag structure 10a may have a structure capable of being easily opened and easily forming the opening portion 14a.

[0086] Specifically, the first bag structure 10a may be manufactured by superimposing and joining the first and second multi-layer paper sheets having quadrangular shapes. As illustrated in FIG. 3, the first multi-layer paper sheet, which defines the front surface portion 11a, may be manufactured by joining the second multi-layer paper sheet to a structure having an equilateral trapezoidal shape structured such that left and right lengths of sides, which are not parallel to each other, equal to each other, a length of an upper side is longer than a length of a lower side, and the lower side is identical to a lower side of the second multi-layer paper sheet to be described below. The second multi-layer paper sheet may use a structure having a rectangular shape in which lengths of upper, lower, left, and right sides are equal to one another. An adhesive A may be applied to edge portions of the second multi-layer paper sheet, such that the second multi-layer paper sheet may be joined.

[0087] When the first bag structure 10a including the front surface portion 11a and the rear surface portion 12a is manufactured by superimposing and joining the first and second multi-layer paper sheets having the above-mentioned structures, the junction portions 13a are formed at the two opposite sides and the lower side, and the opening portion 14a is opened at the upper side.

[0088] Therefore, a length of the upper side of the first multi-layer paper sheet, which defines the front surface portion 11a, is longer than a length of the upper side of the second multi-layer paper sheet, which defines the rear surface portion 12a while coming into contact with the first multi-layer paper sheet, such that the adhesive is not applied to the upper sides of the front and rear surface portions 11a and 12a during the process of manufacturing the cigarette butt collection bag 10. Therefore, the cigarette butt collection bag 10 is naturally opened to form the opening portion 14a, and the opening portion 14a is easily formed by a method of pressing the junction portions 13a at the two opposite sides.

[0089] In addition, the second multi-layer paper sheet, which defines the rear surface portion 12a, may have a structure having a longer length than the first multi-layer paper sheet, which defines the front surface portion 11a, such that the cover portion 15a may be formed. An adhesive may be applied to an upper end of the second multi-layer paper sheet, thereby forming a structure in which the cover portion 15a is joined to one side of the front surface portion 11a and tightly seals the opening portion 14a.

[0090] Alternatively, as illustrated in FIG. 4, a cigarette butt collection bag 10b according to the exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure may be a second bag structure 10b having a structure including a front surface portion 11b, a rear surface portion 12b, junction portions 13b1 and 13b2, an opening portion 14b, and a handle portion 16b. The second bag structure 10b may be manufactured by a method of forming the front surface portion 11b and the rear surface portion 12b by folding two opposite sides of one multi-layer paper sheet having a quadrangular structure in a longitudinal direction, applying an adhesive to two opposite ends and a lower end positioned on the front surface portion 11b in a folded state, forming a first junction portion 13b1 by joining two opposite ends, and then forming a second junction portion 13b2 by joining a lower end. The second bag structure 10b may have a structure capable of being easily opened and easily forming the opening portion 14b.

[0091] Therefore, in order to accommodate the cigarette butt in the second bag structure 10b, the two opposite ends of the second bag structure 10b are gripped by one hand, and the handle portion 16b is pulled by the other hand, such that the second bag structure 10b may be easily opened. Therefore, the second bag structure 10b has the structure capable of easily forming the opening portion 14b.

[0092] Alternatively, as illustrated in FIG. 5, a cigarette butt collection bag 10c according to the exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure may be a third bag structure 10c having a structure including a front surface portion 11c, a rear surface portion 12c, junction portions 13c, an opening portion 14c, a cover portion 15c, and a bent portion 17c. A multi-layer paper sheet may be cut so that lengths of the front and rear surface portions 11c and 12c are asymmetric. An upper end of the rear surface portion 12c may further extend and protrude in the longitudinal direction so as to be longer than an upper end of the front surface portion 11c, such that the cover portion 15c is formed on the rear surface portion 12c. The bent portion 17c may be formed by pressing the front surface portion 11c and the rear surface portion 12c in an inverted 'V' shape inward from the outside of the bag. Therefore, the third bag structure 10c having the junction portions 13c may be formed by joining two opposite ends and lower ends of the front and rear surface portions 11c and 12c.

[0093] The third bag structure 10c having the above-mentioned structure may be easily opened by gripping the cover portion 15c with one hand, and pressing two opposite edges of the third bag structure 10c with the other hand to bend the bent portion 17c. Therefore, the structure capable of easily forming the opening portion 14c to accommodate the cigarette butt is formed.

[0094] FIG. 6 is a perspective view illustrating a fourth cigarette butt collection bag structure 10d that is an embodiment of a cigarette butt collection wrapping material according to still yet another exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0095] As illustrated in FIG. 6, the fourth bag structure 10d may have a structure including the front surface portion 11, the rear surface portion 12, the junction portions 13, the opening portion 14, a triangular front surface portion 11 formed at lower ends of the front and rear surface portions 11 and 12, and a triangular bottom surface portion 18 formed perpendicularly in a central region of the rear surface portion 12 and configured to be unfolded while forming a triangular surface. A multi-layer paper sheet is cut, the front surface portion 11 and the rear surface portion 12 are folded along a vertical folding portion 19, and the bottom surface is unfolded by the triangular bottom surface portion 18, such that the fourth bag structure 10d is unfolded to have a capacity suitable for accommodating the cigarette butt together with the opening portion 14 such that the cigarette butt may be easily accommodated.

[0096] FIG. 7 is a perspective view illustrating a fifth cigarette butt collection bag structure 10e that is an embodiment of a cigarette butt collection wrapping material according to a further exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0097] As illustrated in FIG. 7, the fifth bag structure 10e may have a structure including the front surface portion 11, the rear surface portion 12, a lateral surface portion 20, the junction portions 13 formed by joining vertical edges of two opposite sides of the lateral surface portion 20 to the front surface portion 11 and the rear surface portion 12, the opening portion 14, and triangular folding portions 21 configured such that the vertical folding portions 19 are formed in a vertical region from a center of the lateral surface portion 20, the triangular folding portions 21 are folded while forming a triangular dome as a center lower end of the lateral surface portion 20 positioned in a region between the lower ends of the front and rear surface portions 11 and 12 is moved upward, and the triangular folding portions 21 are unfolded on the contrary while unfolding the triangular dome. A multi-layer paper sheet is cut, such that the front surface portion 11, the rear surface portion 12, and the lateral surface portion 20 are configured to be folded or unfolded by the vertical folding portion 19 and the triangular folding portion 21.

[0098] FIG. 8 is a perspective view illustrating a cigarette butt collection cup 200 that is an example of a cigarette butt collection wrapping material according to another further exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, and FIG. 9 is a view illustrating a state in which a cover portion 205 is added to the cigarette butt collection cup 200 in FIG. 8.

[0099] As illustrated in FIG. 8, the cigarette butt collection cup 200 may be manufactured to have a structure including the lateral surface portion 201 having an inverted truncated conical shape by being joined while forming junction portions 203 by cutting a multi-layer paper sheet, an upper circular opening portion 204 formed at an upper side by the lateral surface portion 201, and a circular bottom surface portion 202 configured to block a bottom surface.

[0100] In this case, a diameter of the circular opening portion 204 may be 25 to 35 mm, a vertical height of the lateral surface portion 201 may be 65 to 75 mm, and a diameter of the bottom surface portion 202 may be 15 to 25 mm. In particular, the diameter of the opening portion 204, the vertical height of the lateral surface portion 201, and the diameter of the bottom surface portion 202 may be 30 mm, 70 mm, and 20 mm, respectively.

[0101] In addition, in the cigarette butt collection cup 200, an inner region of an inlet side of the opening portion 204 may be formed as a bonding region 206 to which a release paper attached and onto which an adhesive layer is applied. Therefore, in case that the usage ends, the release paper may be removed, and then the bonding regions 206 are tightly attached to each other, such that the inlet of the cup 200 may be sealed.

[0102] On the contrary, as illustrated in FIG. 9, in the cigarette butt collection cup 200, an upper end region directed toward the inside of the opening portion 204 may be formed as the bonding region 206 to which a release paper attached and onto which an adhesive layer is applied. Therefore, the cigarette butt collection cup 200 may further include the cover portion 205 extending upward along a predetermined region of the inlet side of the opening portion 204. With this configuration, in case that the usage ends, the release paper may be removed, the opening portion 204 is tightly attached and covered by the cover portion 205 so that the opening portion 204 is sealed by the adhesive, such that the inlet of the cup 200 may be sealed.

[0103] The cigarette butt collection wrapping material using the multi-layer paper sheet according to the present disclosure described above may not only maintain a clean environment by sealing cigarette butts tightly to prevent odors from escaping to the outside, but also prevent fires by ensuring sufficient flame retardancy.

[0104] In addition, the cigarette butt collection wrapping material according to the present disclosure is easily opened through a method for pressing the top edge portions of the left and right sides of the bag, which is an example of the wrapping material, so that the opening portion 14 may be formed, thereby enabling cigarette butts to be easily accommodated therein, and is thin such that a plurality thereof may be joined and easily separated one at a time and used and is easy to carry. In addition, the cigarette butt collection cup 200 of the present disclosure has a general paper cup shape, which facilitates storage and distribution, and after use, the opening portion may be be sealed through the bonding region 206, which facilitates post-use disposal.

[0105] Specifically, the cigarette butt collection wrapping material according to the present disclosure may prevent cigarette butts from being thrown out illegally by improving bad smoking patterns in which the light of a cigarette is tapped or snubbed out and the cigarette butt is thrown out after smoking, may establish a culture of safely wrapping, cleanly accommodating and collecting cigarette butts, and may contribute to rendering of cigarette butts into resources through recycling.

[0106] In this case, the cigarette butt collection wrapping material according to the present disclosure includes a polymer having antibacterial properties in a modified polyolefin resin as an adhesive composition, thereby ensuring excellent peel strength and adhesiveness while also providing a sterilizing effect against bacteria remaining or proliferating in saliva.

[0107] Hereinafter, the present disclosure will be described in more detail with reference to examples and comparative examples. However, the following examples are merely examples illustrating the exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure, and the present disclosure is not limited to the following examples.

[0108] The physical properties of the specimens manufactured through the examples and comparative examples were measured as follows.(Sealability)

[0109] The bag having the structure illustrated in FIG. 2 was manufactured using the multi-layer paper sheet manufactured by the following examples. Specifically, the first bag structure was manufactured by processing a multi-layer paper sheet so as to have an equilateral trapezoidal shape in which the first multi-layer paper sheet, which defined the front surface portion 11a, had a structure in which left and right lengths of the sides, which were not parallel to each other, were equal to each other, a length of an upper side was longer than a length of a lower side, and the lower side was identical to a lower side of the second multi-layer paper sheet. The second multi-layer paper sheet was processed and manufactured to have a rectangular shape in which lengths of upper, lower, left, and right sides are equal to one another.

[0110] The manufactured first bag structure was used to store cigarette butts, the cover was sealed, and the bag was placed in a test tube. The emissions of aldehyde gases and benzene were measured. As a control group, cigarette butts were placed in a test tube, and the emissions (unit: ppb) were measured simultaneously.(Adhesiveness)

[0111] The adhesiveness of the manufactured multi-layer paper sheets was evaluated by measuring the T-peel strength (adhesion strength per 15 mm width). The peel strength was measured five times, and the average value was used. The peel strength (unit: g / 15 mm) was measured under controlled conditions of a peel speed of 250 mm / min, a temperature of 23°C, and a humidity of 50% RH.(Antibacterial Property)

[0112] Specimens manufactured through examples were cut into 50 mm × 50 mm pieces and then placed in a location where test strains were cultured. Specifically, antimicrobial activity was measured using the method based on JIS Z 2801:2006, with the test microorganisms being bacteria (Escherichia coli (ATCC 8739), Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC 65380), and Pseudomonas aeruginosa (ATCC 29027)) and two types of fungi (Aspergillus niger (ATCC 9642) and Candida albicans (ATCC 90028)). The test bacteria were mixed separately by type, inoculated at room temperature (25°C), and the viable cell count was measured after 6 days of incubation to calculate the bacteriostatic reduction rate.(Example 1)

[0113] First, a modified polyolefin resin with a weight-average molecular weight of 100,000 and an acid value of 8 mg KOH / g was prepared by reacting ethylene-propylene copolymer containing 65% by weight of propylene with anhydrous maleic acid. Then, an aluminum sheet with a thickness of 6 µm and a roll paper sheet with a thickness of 30 µm were prepared, adhesive was applied to both sides of the aluminum sheet at a thickness of 10 µm, the roll paper sheet was pressed onto the top surface of the adhesive using a pressing roller to laminate the layers, and then the laminated material was cured, such that a multi-layer paper sheet (total thickness 86 µm) was manufactured.(Example 2)

[0114] A specimen was prepared in the same manner as in Example 1 above, except that 15 parts by weight of chitosan, as an antibacterial polymer, were added based on 100 parts by weight of the modified polyolefin resin during the preparation of the adhesive.(Example 3)

[0115] A specimen was prepared in the same manner as in Example 2 above, except that 5 parts by weight of dopamine, as a catechol compound, were added based on 100 parts by weight of the modified polyolefin resin during the preparation of the adhesive.(Example 4)

[0116] A specimen was prepared in the same manner as in Example 3 above, except that sulfonated polyimide particles with an average particle size of 3 µm were added in an amount of 3 parts by weight during the preparation of the adhesive.(Example 5)

[0117] A specimen was prepared in the same manner as in Example 4 above, except that 40 parts by weight of dopamine were added based on 100 parts by weight of the modified polyolefin resin during the preparation of the adhesive.(Example 6)

[0118] A specimen was prepared in the same manner as in Example 4 above, except that sulfonated polyimide particles with an average particle size of 3 µm were added in an amount of 10 parts by weight during the preparation of the adhesive.(Comparative Example 1)

[0119] A multi-layer paper sheet was manufactured in the same manner as in Example 1, except that a commercially available one-component polyurethane resin adhesive (Navimro Eco foam) was used. [0120] As shown in Table 1 above, it can be ascertained that the specimens manufactured according to the present disclosure maintain the sealability to the extent that the emission of harmful gases is almost undetectable, while at the same time exhibiting excellent peel strength and antibacterial properties. Specifically, it can be ascertained that Example 2, in which more chitosan was added compared to Example 1, which included a modified polyolefin-based resin as the adhesive composition, showed a significant increase in antibacterial properties while maintaining sealability, and Example 3 and 4, in which dopamine and cationic particles were added, respectively, showed a further increase in peel strength compared to Example 2.

[0121] However, as in Examples 5 and 6, when dopamine or cationic particles are added in excessive amounts, the peel strength decreases compared to Example 4. This is because the above-mentioned components are composed of polymers with a large number of cationic functional groups, and the number of chemical bonds formed between these functional groups and other components increases, thereby increasing brittleness.
