AI Technical Summary
Current board-to-board connectors (B2B connectors) lack a shielding structure to reduce signal interference, particularly for radio frequency (RF) signals in high-frequency bands like 5G mmWave, leading to increased interference and noise transfer to adjacent circuits and components.
A connector assembly with an integrated decoupling capacitor structure between signal and ground terminals, forming an interdigital capacitor to remove noise from power signals, embedded within the connector assembly without requiring separate passive elements on the printed circuit board.
Effectively reduces signal noise and interference, minimizing the need for additional board space by integrating a decoupling capacitor within the connector assembly, thus enhancing signal transmission in high-frequency bands.

Abstract
Description
[Technical Field]
[0001] The disclosure relates to a connector assembly.[Background Art]
[0002] An electronic device supporting a wireless communication function may include a printed circuit board on which a communication circuit is disposed. The communication circuit may process a signal received from an antenna such as an antenna module or transmit a wireless communication signal using the antenna.
[0003] Meanwhile, a printed circuit board of an electronic device may be provided with a connector such as a board-to-board connector (hereinafter referred to as a "B2B connector"). The B2B connector may transmit a circuit signal or a low-frequency signal. The B2B connector may connect rigid printed circuit boards to each other or electrically connect a rigid printed circuit board and electronic components using a flexible printed circuit board (FPCB).
[0004] Currently, the B2B connector does not have a shielding structure that reduces interference between transmitted signals. When a radio frequency (RF) signal is transmitted using a B2B connector, signal interference may occur at the connection portion of the B2B connector. In particular, signal interference may increase when transmitting RF signals in high-frequency bands such as 5G mmWave. Due to the characteristics of RF signals in high-frequency bands vulnerable to signal interference, it is not easy to transmit RF signals in high-frequency bands using B2B connectors. In addition, noise may be transferred to circuits and / or electronic components disposed adjacent to the B2B connector when transferring high-frequency RF signals from the B2B connector.[Disclosure of Invention] [Solution to Problems]

[0073] As used in various embodiments of the disclosure, the term "if' may be interpreted as "when," "upon," "in response to determining," or "in response to detecting," depending on the context. Similarly, "if A is determined" or "if A is detected" may be interpreted as "upon determining A" or "in response to determining A", or "upon detecting A" or "in response to detecting A", depending on the context.
[0074] According to various embodiments, each component (e.g., a module or a program) of the above-described components may include a single entity or multiple entities. Some of the plurality of entities may be separately disposed in different components. According to various embodiments, one or more of the above-described components may be omitted, or one or more other components may be added. Alternatively or additionally, a plurality of components (e.g., modules or programs) may be integrated into a single component. In such a case, according to various embodiments, the integrated component may still perform one or more functions of each of the plurality of components in the same or similar manner as they are performed by a corresponding one of the plurality of components before the integration. According to various embodiments, operations performed by the module, the program, or another component may be carried out sequentially, in parallel, repeatedly, or heuristically, or one or more of the operations may be executed in a different order or omitted, or one or more other operations may be added.
