Summary of the invention:

[0003] The present invention is disclosed in the appended set of claims.

[0004] The primary function of the device of the present invention is to easily attach and detach a removable rib attachment device from a parasol canvas. A rod of the device passes through an eyelet in the parasol canvas in order to attach the device of the present invention to the parasol canvas. The secondary function of a tab is to hang accessories.

[0005] The present invention relates to a device for removable attachment of a parasol rib to a parasol canvas comprising: at least one longitudinal lower female part (1) in the shape of an inverted L having a raised end (1A) relative to its opposite end (1B) of the inverted L, at least one longitudinal male part (2) cooperating with said lower female part (1), at least one longitudinal upper part (3) parallel to the longitudinal median axis of said longitudinal lower male part (1), at least one first rod (4) securely connecting the raised end (1A) of said lower female part (1) to a first end (3A) of said upper part (3), said rod (4) allowing said upper part (3) to pivot in a plane parallel to the plane described by the longitudinal median axis of said lower female part (1), at least one second rod (5) positioned securely at said end (1B) of said lower female part (1),said second rod (5) having a head (5A) which fits into an opening (3C) of said upper part (3), said opening (3C) being of a shape complementary to the shape of said head (5A), said opening (3C) being located at one end (3B) of said upper part (3), said end (3B) being opposite said first end (3A) cooperating with said first rod (4).

[0006] Preferably, the upper part (3) is substantially of the same length as the lower longitudinal female part (1).

[0007] Preferably, said lower longitudinal female part (1) comprises a lower tab (6) having a curved end (6A) in the direction of said lower female part (1).

[0008] Preferably, said tab (6) is integral with one end of said lower female part (1).

[0009] Preferably, said lower female part (1) is hollow.

[0010] Preferably, the male part (2) comprises a plurality of grooves (2A) and asperities (2B) located at a first end (2B) opposite a second smooth end (2A) for introducing the male part (2) inside the lower longitudinal female part (1), said second smooth end (2A) cooperating with the end (1B) of said lower female part (1).

[0011] Preferably, the male part (2) has 4 to 10 grooves (2A) and roughnesses (2B).

[0012] Preferably, the space between the longitudinal upper part (3) and the longitudinal female part (1) is between 2 mm and 15 mm, 3 mm and 14 mm, 4 mm and 13 mm, 5 mm and 12 mm, 6 mm and 11 mm, 7 mm and 10 mm, 8 mm and 9 mm.

[0013] Preferably, the first rod (4) and the second rod (5) have a mushroom shape. Preferably, the longitudinal upper part (3) has an opening (3C) complementary to the head (5A) of the mushroom and said longitudinal upper part (3) is only open on one lateral side of said upper part (3) for the passage of said head (5A) of the mushroom, said head (5A) being gripped by said opening (3C).

[0014] Preferably, the upper longitudinal part (3) is movable relative to the female longitudinal part (1).

[0015] Preferably, the longitudinal lower female part (1) has an opening (1C) complementary to the head (4A) of the mushroom and said lower female part (1) is only open on the upper lateral side of said lower female part (1) for the passage of said head (4A) of the mushroom of the rod (4), said head (4A) being gripped by said opening (1C).

[0016] Preferably, the longitudinal lower female part (1) is in the shape of an inverted L and has a first arm having the raised end (1A), said first arm being shorter than the second long arm having the longer opposite end (1B) of the inverted L. Preferably, the first arm has a vertical median axis inclined at an angle greater than 90 degrees relative to the horizontal median axis of the second arm of the longitudinal lower female part (1).

[0017] Preferably, the distance between the first rod (4) and the second rod (5) is between 10 mm and 50 mm, 15 mm and 45 mm, 20 mm and 40 mm, 25 mm and 35 mm, 25 mm and 30 mm.

[0018] To open the clasp, simply rotate the upper part (3) in a trigonometric direction with a little force in order to unclip the upper part from the lower female part (1).

[0019] Once the piece is open, you can insert the canvas eyelet into the rod (5) provided for this purpose. Once the canvas eyelet is inserted into the rod (5), you turn the clasp clockwise until it stops, making sure you hear the click that indicates that it is properly closed.

[0020] To remove the device from the canvas: repeat the operation in reverse order. Description of figures :

[0021] There figure 1shows a perspective view of the device of the present invention in the closed position with the moving part being the upper part (3) serving as a clasp when the eyelet of the canvas is caught in the axis of the rod (5), when closing the part a click is heard which keeps the clasp in the closed position. There figure 2 shows a side view of the upper part before cooperation / engagement with the female part and the lower male part. There figure 3 shows a top view of the device in the open position with the upper part (3) being movable relative to the female part (1). There figure 4 shows the device of the present invention in the closed position and secured to an eyelet of a parasol canvas.
