[0035] Detailed description

[0036] In the figure [Fig 1], an electric compressor 1 for a motor vehicle is illustrated. The electric compressor 1 comprises a casing 2 provided with at least three fingers 2a, 2b, 2c, each designed to cooperate with a filter pad 3a, 3b, 3c. A filter pad comprises a core made of elastically deformable material such as rubber or elastomer provided with an axial perforation made so as to allow the insertion of a finger 2a, 2b, 2c.

[0037] The electric compressor 1 is arranged in a cradle 4a, 4b in two parts. The cradle 4a, 4b comprises and an upper part 4a, connected in rotation to a lower part 4b by two joints 5, the lower part 4b being integral with the structure of the motor vehicle.

[0038] The cradle 4a, 4b is provided with an opening opposite each finger 2a, 2b, 2c, designed so as to each accommodate a filter pad 3a, 3b, 3c. In a particular embodiment, the openings and the corresponding filter pads 3a, 3b, 3c have an advantageous cylindrical shape due to the simplicity of production and installation.

[0039] Each joint 5 is designed so as to allow the rotation of the upper part 4a of the cradle towards the lower part 4b of the cradle while allowing its separation. Each joint 5 cooperates with a clamping element 7 arranged in the distal part of the cradle 4a, 4b relative to the joints 5 in order to secure the upper part 4a with the lower part 4b. It will be noted that the clamping element 7 is offset relative to the plane of symmetry of the distal part so as not to interfere with the filter pad 3b and the corresponding opening. The offset may be an offset to the left or to the right relative to the plane of symmetry.

[0040] The clamping element 7 is in particular a screw inserted into a slot provided in the upper part 4a of the cradle and cooperating with a threaded hole provided in the lower part 4b of the cradle. The upper part 4a may also be provided with a thread. Alternatively, the clamping element 7 is a bolt / nut or threaded rod / nut assembly inserted into two slots provided in the lower part and the upper part of the cradle. Here too, the slot provided in the upper part 4a and / or the slot provided in the lower part 4b may be provided with a thread.

[0041] It will also be understood that other clamping elements may be arranged, in particular in the lateral parts of the cradle, between the articulation 5 and the distal part.

[0042] Figure [Fig 2] is an exploded view of the compressor 1 according to the first embodiment. The elements in common with those illustrated in figure [Fig 1] bear the same references and are not described again for the sake of brevity.

[0043] Compared to figure [Fig 1], figure [Fig 2] illustrates more precisely partial openings 6aa,6ab,6ac provided in the upper part 4a, partial openings 6ba,6bb,6bc provided in the lower part 4b of the cradle, as well as the parts of the articulation 5.

[0044] Each opening intended to receive a filter pad 3 a, 3 b, 3 c is formed by matching a partial opening 6 aa, 6 ab, 6 ac provided in the upper part 4 a of the cradle with a partial opening 6 ba, 6 bb, 6 bc provided in the lower part 4 b of the cradle. In different embodiments, the openings are made so as to extend essentially in the lower part 4 b of the cradle, in the upper part 4 a of the cradle, or in both parts 4 a, 4 b of the cradle.

[0045] The joint 5 is also visible and comprises a curved finger 5a secured to the upper part 4a of the cradle and a corresponding slot 5b provided in the lower part 4b of the cradle. During assembly, the curved finger 5a is inserted into the corresponding slot 5b so as to guide the rotation of the upper part 4a of the cradle until it contacts the lower part 4b of the cradle. When a curved finger 5a and a corresponding slot 5b are provided on each side of the compressor, the arrangement has the additional advantage of keeping the upper part 4a of the cradle aligned with the lower part 4b of the cradle.

[0046] Reference 8b denotes the threaded hole or slot in the lower part 4b of the cradle, into which the clamping element 7 is inserted.

[0047] Figure [Fig 3 ] illustrates the open cradle 4a, 4b. The elements common to the elements illustrated by figure [Fig 1 ] and figure [Fig 2] bear the same references.

[0048] The cradle 4a, 4b being open, the reference 8a designating the threaded hole or the light made in the upper part 4a of the cradle and in which the clamping element 7 is inserted, is shown.

[0049] The assembly of the compressor 1 in the cradle 4a, 4b then consists of installing a filter pad 3a, 3b, 3c on each finger 2a, 2b, 2c, then installing the compressor 1 in the lower part 4b of the cradle so that each filter pad 3a, 3b, 3c is arranged in the corresponding partial opening 6ba, 6bb, 6bc. The upper part 4a of the cradle is then arranged so that the at least one curved finger 5a is arranged at the entrance of the corresponding light 5b. The upper part 4a of the cradle is then lowered onto the lower part 4b of the cradle until contact is made and so that the partial openings 6aa, 6ab, 6ac formed in the upper part 4a of the cradle are brought into correspondence with the partial openings 6ba, 6bb, 6bc formed in the lower part 4b of the cradle. The filter pads 3 a, 3 b, 3 c cannot then move. The two parts 4a, 4b of the cradle are then secured by inserting and screwing at least one clamping element 7.

[0050] A filter pad 3a, 3b, 3c is defined as comprising two circular faces and a surface of revolution extending between the two circular faces. In a particular embodiment, a filter pad 3a, 3b, 3c is provided with a radial shoulder on at least one of its circular faces. Each shoulder allows centering of the filter pad 3a, 3b, 3c in the corresponding opening of the cradle 4a, 4b, in particular when a suitable countersink is made on the edge of each partial opening 6aa, 6ab, 6ac, 6ba, 6bb, 6bc. Such a countersink is visible in figure [Fig 2] and figure [Fig 3]

[0051] Figure [Fig 4] illustrates an alternative embodiment in which the cradle 4a, 4b is held closed by at least two clamping elements, arranged on either side of the compressor 2. In figure [Fig 4], only one of these two clamping elements referenced 7b is visible.

[0052] The assembly of the compressor 1 in the cradle 4a, 4b is similar to the assembly according to the first embodiment and consists of installing a filter pad 3a, 3b, 3c on each finger 2a, 2b, 2c, then installing the compressor 1 in the lower part 4b of the cradle so that each filter pad 3a, 3b, 3c is arranged in the corresponding partial opening 6ba, 6bb, 6bc. The upper part 4a of the cradle is then arranged so that the partial openings 6aa, 6ab, 6ac are aligned with the partial openings 6ba, 6bb, 6bc provided in the lower part 4b of the cradle. The filter pads 3a, 3b, 3c cannot then move. The two parts 4a, 4b of the cradle are secured by inserting and screwing the at least two clamping elements 7a, 7b.

[0053] It will also be noted that in a particular embodiment of this second embodiment, a two-part leg is produced between the upper part 4a and the lower part 4b of the cradle directly above each clamping element 7a, 7b so that each clamping element has a significant length provided with a thread. This has the effect of increasing the clamping force of each clamping element and increasing its resistance when the compressor 1 vibrates.
