Field of application
[0001] The present finding regards a box for containing bottles, according to the preamble of the main independent claim.
[0002] The present box is intended to be employed in the field of packaging for containing bottles, advantageously intended to be transported, for example from a producer to a distributor in order to be placed on the market or delivered to a final client. Advantageously, in addition, the present box is intended to be employed as a gift package or chest for precious bottles.
[0003] The box, object of the present finding, is advantageously intended to be employed for containing bottles, in particular bottles of alcoholic beverages, such as for example wine, intended for sale in packages.State of the art
[0004] In the packaging field, boxes are currently widely used that are attained starting from a sheet of die-cut and folded cardboard, which are intended to contain very different articles. For example, boxes are known which are intended to contain bottles, and in particular glass bottles of alcoholic beverages, e.g. wine, beer, grappa, liquors or other items.
[0005] The aforesaid boxes of known type conventionally have prismatic form, i.e. they are provided with a bottom wall, usually rectangular, on which the bottles, with their extension axis parallel to the bottom wall itself, are intended to be set. From the lower perimeter edge of the aforesaid bottom wall, a perimeter wall is extended which on the upper part defines an upper edge of the box, which delimits an access opening, through which the bottles are intended to be inserted.
[0006] In addition, the boxes of known type are usually provided with two or more lateral wings that are extended starting from the upper edge of corresponding sides of the perimeter wall of the box and are susceptible of being folded towards the interior of the box in order to cover the bottles contained therein.
[0007] The boxes of known type are also provided with a closure cover which is susceptible of being placed to cover the access opening, preventing its content from exiting outward. In particular, the closure covers of known type are usually made in a single body with the box and are extended starting from one side of the upper edge of the box itself.
[0008] Generally, in addition, the boxes of known type are provided with separator dividers for the bottles, which are susceptible of being inserted between the bottles themselves in order to prevent impact between the latter, for example due to the movement of the box which can lead to the breakage of several of the bottles involved.
[0009] In addition, the separator dividers of known type are extended along the entire extension of the bottles in order to prevent these from impacting even only at a lower end portion thereof.
[0010] The boxes for containing bottles of known type, described briefly above, have in practice shown that they do not lack drawbacks.
[0011] The main drawback of these boxes of known type lies in the assembly complexity of such boxes, which involves an extension of the assembly times of the boxes themselves, providing for a step of insertion of the separator dividers to separate the bottles contained in the box.
[0012] Indeed, the bottles intended to be inserted in such boxes of known type can be placed in multiple positions, based on their size and on the needs of the user who assembles the box. In order to allow greater flexibility in the placement of the bottles within the box, the separator dividers are generally arranged separate from the box, and they are intended to be inserted at its interior following the assembly of the box and the insertion of the bottles.
[0013] Therefore, in order to perform the aforesaid operations of assembly of the box and insertion of the bottles and separator dividers, multiple separate steps are necessary, which involve an increase of the overall assembly times.
[0014] In addition, it is necessary to provide for two separate machines, or alternatively provide for a single machine provided with two separate hollow cutters, of which one is intended to produce the box and the other is intended to produce the separator dividers, with a consequent increase of the production costs.
[0015] In order to at least partially overcome the drawbacks of the common boxes briefly described up to now, other box models are also known in the field, which are provided with a shaped band that is extended, being folded from the upper edge of one side of the perimeter wall so as to define a false bottom made in a single body with the same perimeter wall and set on the bottom wall, and on such false bottom notches are made which substantially have "C" shaped form in order to be able to lift the dividing tabs in turn made in a single body with the false bottom and arranged for being interposed between the side-by-side bottles, separating them.
[0016] Nevertheless, even the box described above has in practice proven that it does not lack drawbacks. Of course, the notches made on the false bottom cannot intersect each other, otherwise the notch of one tab would be partly extended also on the false bottom part which is delimited by another adjacent notch and which is intended to be folded in order to form an adjacent dividing tab. In addition, the aforesaid notches must be sufficiently spaced from each other in order to prevent excessively weakening the false bottom, hence preventing the risk of creating tears between one notch and the next on the same false bottom when an operator lifts the dividing tabs one by one, folding them with respect to the rest of the false bottom. This has led to the attainment of notches, which are substantially "C" shaped, are side-by-side along a distribution line parallel to two of the four sides of the perimeter wall of the box, are well spaced from each other in order to prevent excessively weakening the false bottom portion and define dividing tabs which are each susceptible of being lifted by means of a fold line extended between the two ends of the respective notch with "C" shape and orthogonal to the distribution direction, in a manner such that the same dividing tabs are placed to separate the enlarged bases of adjacent bottles that are parallel to each other and having their narrow necks all oriented with the same sense. Nevertheless, the arranging of a plurality of notches thus shaped on the false bottom, in order to separate bottles that are all parallel to each other and oriented in the same sense, confers to the boxes of known type the proportions which prevent a plurality of boxes from being efficiently palletized in order to be shipped to the final seller.Presentation of the invention
[0017] In this situation, the problem underlying the present invention is therefore that of overcoming the drawbacks manifested by boxes of known type, by providing a box for containing bottles which allows separating adjacent bottles, at the same time optimizing the proportions, i.e. in other words the ratio between the width and length in plan view, of the same box.
[0018] A further object of the present invention is to provide a box for containing bottles which is safe and stable during normal use, even with high loads, with optimized proportions, i.e. in other words the ratio between the width and length in plan view, of the box.
[0019] A further object of the present invention is to provide a box for containing bottles that is easily palletizable.
[0020] A further object of the present invention is to provide a box for containing bottles which allows an efficient placement and separation of the bottles.

Detailed description of a preferred embodiment
[0026] With reference to the enclosed drawings, reference number 1 overall indicates a box for containing bottles 100 according to the present invention, and preferably for containing bottles of alcoholic beverages, such as for example wine.
[0027] The box 1, object of the present invention, is advantageously intended to contain a plurality of bottles 100 extended along a corresponding axis W and provided with a narrow neck 101 and with an enlarged base 102, in which in particular the narrow neck 101 and the enlarged base 102 are connected together by a shoulder 103.
[0028] Advantageously, the present box 1 is made of cardboard, and in particular in die-cut cardboard, which is susceptible of being cut and folded in order to obtain the box 1 itself (preferably in a single body).
[0029] The box 1 is intended to contain bottles 100 of any type such as for example "Bordeaux", "Burgundy", "Alsatian" or still other bottles and preferably champagne bottles, known in the jargon of the field as "Champagne" bottle. Claims
1. Box (1) for containing bottles (100), which comprises: - a bottom wall (3), which is perimetrically delimited by a lower edge (31); - a perimeter wall (4), which rises starting from the lower edge (31) of said bottom wall (3) up to an upper edge (41) with four sides (410, 420, 430, 440) two-by-two parallel, and delimits an access opening (42) for the insertion of bottles (100) in said box (1); - a cover (5) intended to be placed at least partially to close said access opening (42) and extended with a first fold (51) starting from the upper edge (41) of a first side (410) of said perimeter wall (4); said cover (5), said perimeter wall (4) and said bottom wall (3) delimiting a containment volume, adapted to house said bottles (100); - a false bottom portion (8) extended lying on said bottom wall (3) to at least partially cover said bottom wall (3); said false bottom portion (8) being intended to receive, lying thereon, said bottles (100) with their axes (W) parallel to said false bottom portion (8); - at least one lateral wing (9) intended to be placed to cover at least part of said bottles (100) lying on said false bottom portion (8) and extended with a respective fourth fold (91) starting from the upper edge (41) of a third side (430) of said perimeter wall (4); - a plurality of dividing tabs (10, 11, 12), which are each extended with a corresponding fifth fold (13) some starting from said false bottom portion (8) and some starting from said at least one lateral wing (9) and are directed, during use, inside said containment volume to separate said bottles (100); said box (1) being characterized in that the plurality of said dividing tabs (10, 11, 12) comprises: - at least one first dividing tab (10), which is placed adjacent to one of said four sides (410, 420, 430, 440), has the corresponding said fifth fold (13) tilted with respect to each of said four sides (410, 420, 430, 440) and is intended to separate the enlarged bases (102) of two adjacent said bottles (100) belonging to a first row of bottles (100) and lying on said false bottom portion (8) with their axes (W) parallel to the fifth fold (13) of said first dividing tab (10); - at least one second dividing tab (11), which is placed adjacent to the side (410, 420, 430, 440) of said perimeter wall (4) parallel to the side (410, 420, 430, 440) adjacent to which said at least one first dividing tab (10) is placed; said at least one second dividing tab (11) having the corresponding said fifth fold (13) parallel to the fifth fold (13) of said first dividing tab (10) and being intended to separate the enlarged bases (102) of two adjacent said bottles (100), which belong to a second row of said bottles (100) and are lying on said false bottom portion (8) with their axes (W) parallel to the fifth fold (13) of said second dividing tab (11) and with their narrow necks (101) each side-by-side at least one narrow neck (101) of a bottle (100) of said first row; - multiple third dividing tabs (12), which, during use, are placed side-by-side along a distribution direction (Z) interposed between said first and said second dividing tab (10, 11) and substantially parallel to the side (410, 420, 430, 440) adjacent to which said at least one first dividing tab (10) is placed; said third dividing tabs (12) having the corresponding fifth folds (13) transverse to said distribution direction (Z) and each being intended to separate the narrow neck (101) of a bottle (100) belonging to said first row from the narrow neck (101) of a bottle (100) belonging to said second row.

Box (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that the plurality of said dividing tabs (10, 11, 12) comprises: - multiple first dividing tabs (10), which are placed adjacent to one of said four sides (410, 420, 430, 440) and are side-by-side along a first flanking direction (X) substantially parallel to the side (410, 420, 430, 440) adjacent to which said first dividing tabs (10) are placed; the fifth folds (13) of said first dividing tabs (10) being parallel to each other, transverse to said first flanking direction (X) and tilted with respect to each of the four sides (410, 420, 430, 440) of said perimeter wall (4); said first dividing tabs (10) each being intended to separate the enlarged bases (102) of two adjacent said bottles (100) belonging to said first row of bottles (100); - multiple second dividing tabs (11), which are placed adjacent to the side (410, 420, 430, 440) of said perimeter wall (4) parallel to the side (410, 420, 430, 440) adjacent to which said first dividing tabs (10) are placed; said second dividing tabs (11) being side-by-side along a second flanking direction (Y) substantially parallel to said first flanking direction (X); the fifth folds (13) of said second dividing tabs (11) being parallel to the fifth folds (13) of said first dividing tabs (10); said second dividing tabs (11) each being intended to separate the enlarged bases (102) of two adjacent said bottles (100) belonging to said second row of bottles (100); the distribution direction (Z) of said third dividing tabs (12) being interposed between said first and said second flanking direction (X, Y).

Box (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said second dividing tabs (11) are equal in number to the number of said first dividing tabs (10) and said third dividing tabs (12) are equal in number to the sum of the number of said first dividing tabs (10) and said second dividing tabs (11) increased by one.

Box (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that each said dividing tab (10, 11, 12) is extended, along a direction parallel to the respective said fifth fold (13), between a first flank thereof and an opposite second flank, which are transverse with respect to the respective said fifth fold (13); the first flank of said first dividing tab (10) being directed towards the side (410, 420, 430, 440) of said perimeter wall (4) adjacent to which the same first dividing tab (10) is placed and the second flank of said first dividing tab (10) being directed towards the side (410, 420, 430, 440) of said perimeter wall (4) adjacent to which said second dividing tab (11) is placed and being intended, during use, to receive, in abutment against it, the narrow neck (101) of a bottle (100) belonging to said second row of bottles (100); the first flank of said second dividing tab (11) being directed towards the side (410, 420, 430, 440) of said perimeter wall (4) adjacent to which the same second dividing tab (11) is placed and the second flank of said second dividing tab (11) being directed towards the side (410, 420, 430, 440) of said perimeter wall (4) adjacent to which said first dividing tab (10) is placed and being intended, during use, to receive, in abutment against it, the narrow neck (101) of a bottle (100) belonging to said first row of bottles (100).
5. Box (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said at least one first dividing tab (10) and said at least one second dividing tab (11) are extended starting from said false bottom portion (8).

Box (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it comprises a shaped band (6) extended with a second fold (62) starting from the upper edge (41) of a second side (420) of said perimeter wall (4); said shaped band (6) comprising said false bottom portion (8) and being provided with at least one third fold (63), which is parallel to said second fold (62) and delimits a connector portion (7), interposed between said second and third fold (62, 63), and said false bottom portion (8), extended lying on said bottom wall (3) between said third fold (63) and an opposite end edge (81) to at least partially cover said bottom wall (3).
7. Box (1) according to claim 6, characterized in that said second side (420) is parallel to said first side (410); said third side (430) being perpendicular to said first side (410) and to said second side (420).

Box (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it comprises two lateral wings (9), one of which is extended with the respective said fourth fold (91) starting from the upper edge (41) of said third side (430) and the other of which is extended with the respective said fourth fold (91) starting from the upper edge (41) of a fourth side (440) of said perimeter wall (4).
9. Box (1) according to claim 8, characterized in that some of said third dividing tabs (12) are extended starting from one of said lateral wings (9) and the others of said third dividing tabs (12) are extended starting from the other of said lateral wings (9).

Box (1) according to claims 5, 7 and 9, characterized in that said at least one first dividing tab (10) is placed adjacent to said third side (430) and said at least one second dividing tab (11) is placed adjacent to said fourth side (440); said third dividing tabs (12) being placed, during use, along said distribution direction (Z), which is substantially parallel to said third side (430) and to said fourth side (440).

Box (1) according to claim 10, characterized in that each of said lateral wings (9) is provided with: - a cover portion (92), which is extended starting from the corresponding said fourth fold (91) up to a corresponding terminal edge (93) with a first length (LU1) thereof smaller than half the distance between said third and said fourth side (430, 440), has a first width (LA1) thereof along a direction parallel to said third and to said fourth side (430, 440) and is intended to be placed to at least partially cover the enlarged portions (102) of said bottles (100) belonging to one between said first and said second row; - one or more support tabs (94), each of which is extended starting from the terminal edge (93) of said cover portion (92) along a direction of extension transverse with respect to said third and to said fourth side (430, 440), is coplanar with said cover portion (92) and has, on a direction parallel to said third and to said fourth side (430, 440), a second width (LA2) thereof smaller than the first width (LA1) of said cover portion (92); said third dividing tabs (12) each extended with a corresponding fifth fold (13) starting from one of the support tabs (94) of one of said lateral wings (9).
12. Box (1) according to claim 11, characterized in that at least one support tab (94) of one of said lateral wings (9) is, during use, interposed between two support tabs (94) of the other of said lateral wings (9).
