AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing devices for producing food skewers are labor-intensive, time-consuming, and inefficient, particularly when handling food components of larger dimensions, and they often require manual chopping and placement, which can lead to irregular appearances and safety risks.

Method used

A device with an endlessly rotating transport system and magazine base units that includes a loading, chopping, and skewering station, where unprocessed components are cut and skewered without intermediate steps, using parallel cutting blades and a magazine lid to secure food pieces during the process.

Benefits of technology

This solution simplifies and automates the production of food skewers by allowing efficient processing of larger components, ensuring even cutting and secure skewering, reducing manual labor and safety risks.

Abstract

The invention relates to a device (1) and a method for producing food skewers comprising: a continuously rotating transport device (2) with a plurality of loader base units (4) arranged parallel to each other and transverse to the rotation direction (R1) of the transport device (2), each of the loader base units (4) comprising: an elongated base plate (41), a first support block (42) formed at a first longitudinal end of the base plate (41) and comprising a first skewer holder (43), a second support block (44) formed at a second longitudinal end of the base plate (41) and comprising a second skewer holder (45), partitions (46) extending parallel to the support blocks (42, 44) and dividing the loader base unit (4) into chambers, the partitions (46) having slots (48) oriented in the rotation direction (R1) of the transport device (2),and a skewer conduit through which a skewer passes. The loading skewer can penetrate the loader base unit (4) from the first skewer holder (43) to the second skewer holder (45). The device (1) further comprises: a loading station (5) for placing a first food component (12) into a receiving chamber formed by the chambers of the loader base unit (4); a cutting station (6), which is arranged downstream of the loading station (5) in the direction of rotation (R1), with parallel separating blades (16) that slide in slots (48) when the loader base units (4) are rotating and cut the first food component (12) placed in the loading station (5); and a skewering station (9).which is arranged downstream of the cutting station (6) in the direction of rotation (R1) and which drives a loading spike in the direction of passage through the base unit of the loader (4) and the food components placed in the chambers.
