Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Door handle arrangement for a vehicle door
[0001] The present invention relates to a door handle arrangement for a vehicle door, comprising a first handle lever and a first pivot axis which extends in a vertical direction and about which the first handle lever can pivot in a first rotational direction from a non-use position into a use position.
[0002] Door handle arrangements by means of which a vehicle door can be opened or closed as desired by a user are known in the prior art in many different embodiments. For example, the door handle arrangements known so far comprise a handle lever or handle grip which can be actuated by a user by exerting a pulling force in order to be able to unlock the vehicle door associated with the door handle arrangement in its closed position and to be able to subsequently open it.
[0003] From DE 10 2017 126 254 A1, a door handle arrangement for a sliding door of a motor vehicle is known, which has a handle lever that can be pivoted as desired in two directions opposite each other. In a first pivoting position, the handle lever is pivoted such that a user can grasp a first end of the handle lever. In a second pivoting position, the handle lever is pivoted such that a user can grasp a second end of the handle lever that is opposite the first end. Thanks to these two possible pivoting positions, opening and closing of the sliding door is simplified.
[0004] The object of the present invention is to provide a door handle arrangement of the type mentioned in the introduction for a vehicle door which allows, in a simple manner, left-hand or right-hand actuation of the door handle arrangement.
[0005] The solution of this object is achieved by a door handle arrangement according to the invention which is characterized in that the door handle arrangement has a second handle lever as well as a second pivot axis which extends in the vertical direction (i.e. upwards) and about which the second handle lever can pivot in a second direction of rotation from a non-use position into a use position, the second direction of rotation being opposite to the first direction of rotation. Because both handle levers can be pivoted in two opposite directions of rotation from the non-use position into the use position in which a user can grasp the relevant handle lever, a user can easily and comfortably operate the door handle arrangement with the left or right hand by optionally pivoting either the first handle lever or the second handle lever into its use position. In the use position of each of the two handle levers, the vehicle door associated with the door handle arrangement, provided that no further unlocking mechanism is provided, can be unlocked and subsequently opened. The door handle arrangement presented here therefore advantageously allows left-hand or right-hand actuation and is suitable for conventional vehicle doors which are hinged to a vehicle body by means of corresponding hinge arrangements, and furthermore also for sliding doors.
[0006] In order to give the door handle arrangement a consistent optical appearance, it is proposed, in an advantageous embodiment, to form the handle levers in such a way that they form, on a visible side of the door handle arrangement, a two-dimensional contour which has a rotational symmetry of 180° with respect to a central point on the visible side of the door handle arrangement.
[0007] According to an advantageous improvement, it is possible for each of the two handle levers to have an actuating portion, the actuation of which allows the handle lever to be pivoted into its operating position, and a handle portion with which a user can grip the handle lever. As a result, a simple and intuitive actuation of the door handle arrangement is achieved. Preferably, the actuating portions can be designed for pressure actuation, which allows particularly simple handling of the door handle arrangement. The actuating portions can be designed at their outer sides optically and / or haptically in such a way that a user can be appropriately informed that the handle levers can be transferred into their corresponding operating positions by an actuation of the actuating portions.
[0008] According to a preferred embodiment, it is proposed that, in the non-use position of the door handle arrangement, the actuating portion of the first handle lever is flush with the handle portion of the second handle lever and that the actuating portion of the second handle lever is flush with the handle portion of the first handle lever. As a result, in the non-use position of the door handle arrangement in which neither of the handle levers is pivoted outward into its use position, an optically consistent appearance of the door handle arrangement is achieved. The two levers handles thus preferably end flush with each other in this embodiment.
[0009] According to a particularly preferred embodiment, the handle levers can be formed in such a way that they have a substantially L-shaped outer contour. As a result, the handle levers, in the non-use position of the door handle arrangement, can advantageously engage with each other with their outer contours and preferably end flush with each other, so that a particularly consistent optical appearance is achieved. Furthermore, the two handle levers can be produced, with their substantially L-shaped outer contour, preferably as identical parts, so that cost advantages are achieved in the manufacture of the door handle arrangement.
[0010] According to an advantageous embodiment, it can be provided that the first pivot axis is arranged such that it extends (in particular substantially centrally) through the actuating portion of the first handle lever.
[0011] According to an alternative embodiment, there is also the possibility of arranging the first pivot axis such that it extends between the actuating portion and the handle portion of the first handle lever.
[0012] According to an advantageous embodiment, it can be provided that the second pivot axis is arranged such that it extends (in particular substantially centrally) through the actuating portion of the second handle lever.
[0013] According to another embodiment variant, there is also the possibility of arranging the second pivot axis such that it extends between the actuating portion and the handle portion of the second handle lever.
[0014] Preferably, the actuating portions of the two levers may be made in such a way that they can be actuated with a finger of a user, in particular with a thumb, and in this case that they can be pressed inwards so that the associated handle portion can be pivoted outwards into its position of use.
[0015] According to another aspect, the present invention relates to a motor vehicle with at least one vehicle door which has a door handle arrangement. It is proposed that the door handle arrangement is then implemented according to the invention. The door handle arrangement advantageously allows actuation by the right or left hand to open or close the door.
[0016] Other characteristics and advantages of the present invention will appear more clearly on reading the following description of a preferred embodiment with reference to the appended figures in which:
[0017] [Fig.l] illustrates a door handle arrangement made according to an example of rea- preferred embodiment of the invention, in a position of non-use,
[0018] [Fig.2] illustrates a perspective view of the door handle arrangement according to the [Fig.l] in a position of use of a first handle lever,
[0019] [Fig.3] illustrates a perspective view of the door handle arrangement according to the [Fig.l] in a position for using a second handle lever.
[0020] A door handle arrangement 1 for a vehicle door, which is implemented according to a preferred embodiment of the invention, comprises a first handle lever 2, a second handle lever 3, as well as a handle shell 4, inside which the two handle levers 2, 3 are arranged in their respective non-use position which is illustrated in [Fig.l]. Preferably, the handle levers 2, 3 in the non-use position, end in surface flush with each other and preferably also in surface flush with the vehicle door.
[0021] The door handle arrangement 1 further has a first pivot axis 5, which extends in a vertical direction (upwards) and about which the first handle lever 2 can pivot from the non-use position shown in [Fig. 1] in a first direction of rotation outwards into a use position shown in [Fig. 2]. Furthermore, the door handle arrangement 1 has a second pivot axis 6, which also extends in the vertical direction and about which the second handle lever 3 can pivot from the non-use position shown in [Fig. 1] in a second direction of rotation outwards into a use position shown in [Fig. 3]. The two pivot axes 5, 6 are in this case oriented parallel to each other. As can be seen in Figures 2 and 3, the pivoting movement of the first handle lever 2 from the non-use position into the use position is in the opposite direction to the corresponding pivoting movement of the second handle lever 3. This means that the first direction of rotation in which the first handle lever 2 can pivot outwards into its use position is oriented opposite to the second direction of rotation in which the second handle lever 3 can pivot outwards into its use position.
[0022] Each of the two handle levers 2, 3 has an actuating portion 20, 30 and a handle portion 21, 31. The pivot axes 5, 6 extend in the embodiment illustrated here through the actuating portion 20, 30 of the relevant handle lever 2, 3. It should be emphasized at this point that other positions of the pivot axes 5, 6 are also possible. For example, the pivot axes 5, 6 can extend between the actuating portion 20, 30 and the handle portions 21, 31 of the relevant handle lever 2, 3.
[0023] It is clearly seen from the illustration in [Fig.l] that the two levers of handle 2, 3, in the embodiment illustrated here, are made substantially L-shaped, the actuating portion 20 of the first handle lever 2, in the non-use position, ending in surface flush with the handle portion 31 of the second handle lever 3, and the actuating portion 30 of the second handle lever 3 ending in surface flush with the handle portion 21 of the first handle lever 2. The two handle portions 21, 31, as can be seen in [Fig.l], are oriented parallel to each other in the non-use position. The handle levers 2, 3 are shaped in such a way that they form, on a visible side (i.e. the outer side) of the door handle arrangement 1, a two-dimensional contour which has a rotational symmetry of 180° with respect to a central point M on the visible side of the door handle arrangement 1.By means of the measures described above, an optically consistent appearance of the door handle arrangement 1 is achieved in the non-use position of the two handle levers 2, 3. .
[0024] The actuating portion 20, 30 of each of the two handle levers 2, 3 is designed in such a way that the relevant handle lever 2, 3, by actuating a pressure force on the actuating portion 20, 30, can be pivoted from the non-use position into the use position in which a user can grasp the handle portion 21, 31 of the handle lever 2, 3, in order to open or close the vehicle door. The pressure force exerted on the actuating portion 20, 30 causes the relevant actuating portion 20, 30 to be pivoted inwards into the handle recess 4 and the handle portion 21, 31 to be pivoted outwards. Preferably, in this case, the vehicle door is also unlocked since no additional unlocking mechanism is provided. The pressure force exerted on the actuating portion 20, 30 can be applied by a user with a finger, in particular with the thumb. The possibility of pivoting the two handle levers 2, 3 in an opposite direction provided by the door handle arrangement 1 presented here advantageously makes it possible to use the door handle arrangement 1 very easily with the right or left hand.
[0025] Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiments described and shown in the attached drawings. Modifications remain possible, in particular from the point of view of the constitution of the various elements or by substitution of technical equivalents, without departing from the scope of protection of the invention.
