[0027] <Exemple de configuration de dispositif embarqué 10 selon un mode de réalisation de la présente invention>
[0028] An embedded device 10 according to an embodiment of the present invention is described below. The embedded device 10 corresponds to a display control device according to the present invention.
[0029] Figure 1 illustrates an example of the configuration of the on-board device 10 according to an embodiment of the present invention. The on-board device 10 can be implemented with an on-board navigation device having a navigation function, for example.
[0030] The embedded device 10 can display, in addition to a navigation screen of interest for the navigation function, an air conditioning screen for adjusting the temperature, airflow and similar settings of an air conditioner, an audio-video (AV) screen for selecting and playing audio or video content and for adjusting the sound volume, image quality and similar settings, a screen for an application (email, social networking service (SNS), and similar) run by a smartphone that is wirelessly connected, a phone screen for outgoing and incoming calls, a camera screen to display an image captured by an onboard camera, and similar.
[0031] The embedded device 10 includes an arithmetic processing device 11, a display 21, a storage device 23, a voice input / output device 24, an input device 25, and a read-only memory (ROM) device 26.
[0032] The on-board device 10 further includes a vehicle speed sensor 27, a gyroscopic sensor 28, a global positioning system (GPS) receiver device 29, a frequency modulation multiplexed (FM) broadcasting receiver device 30, a beacon receiver device 31, and an image capture device 32.
[0033] The arithmetic processing unit 11 is a central unit that performs various types of processing for the embedded device 10. The arithmetic processing unit 11 detects a current location using information provided as output by various sensors, such as the vehicle speed sensor 27 and the GPS receiver 29, for example. Based on the current location information obtained, the arithmetic processing unit 11 reads map information required for display from the storage device 23 and the ROM device 26. The arithmetic processing unit 11 develops the read map information into graphics and overlays a marker indicating the current location, to generate and output an image signal to be displayed on the display 21.The arithmetic processing device 11 calculates a recommended route connecting a starting point (current location) and a target location requested by a user (a driver or a passenger), using map and similar information stored in the storage device 23 or the ROM device 26. The arithmetic processing device 11 performs route navigation by providing a predetermined output signal to a loudspeaker 242 and the display 21.
[0034] The arithmetic processing device 11 can adjust one or more display regions 211 ([Fig. 3]) on a display screen 21, and can change the size of each display region 211 in response to a user action and the occurrence of a predetermined event. The arithmetic processing device 11 displays, in a predetermined display manner, a predetermined display object (such as an icon) independently for each of the display regions 211.
[0035] The arithmetic processing device 11 as described above comprises a central processing unit (CPU) 111 which performs various types of processing to carry out arithmetic operations and control each of the devices, and a random access memory (RAM) 112 which temporarily stores card information, arithmetic data, and similar data that have been read from a device. memory such as the storage device 23 and a ROM 113, the ROM 113 storing a startup program and similar executed by the CPU 111, an interface (I / F) 114 for connecting various types of hardware to the arithmetic processing device 11, and a bus 115 connecting these components to each other.
[0036] The display 21 is installed in the center of the console panel provided on the front surface inside the vehicle, for example. A transparent touch panel 251 is arranged layered on the display 21. A user can perform a touch operation on (the touch panel 251 arranged layered on) the display 21. However, an operation on the display 21 can also be performed by using a switch 252.
[0037] The storage device 23 consists of a storage medium capable of performing at least one read and write operation, such as a hard disk drive (HDD) and a non-volatile memory card. Various information elements (for example, card information and the like) used by the arithmetic processing device 11 are stored in the storage device 23, for example.
[0038] The voice input / output device 24 includes a microphone 241 as a voice input device and the speaker 242 as a voice output device.
[0039] The input device 25 is a device that receives instruction input from a user. The input device 25 includes the touch panel 251, the dial switch 252, a scroll key which is another hard switch, and similar components (not shown). The input device 25 outputs information in accordance with the operation of each of the keys and switches to another device such as the arithmetic processing device 11.
[0040] The touch screen 251 is arranged in a layer on the display screen of the display 21. The 251 touch panel detects a touch operation by a user's finger or a touch pen.
[0041] The ROM 26 device consists of a storage medium capable of at least reading digital data, such as a ROM illustrated by a compact disc (CD)-ROM and a digital multipurpose disc (DVD)-ROM and an integrated circuit card (IC). Video data, audio data, voice data, and the like are stored on the storage medium, for example.
[0042] The vehicle speed sensor 27 acquires a value (such as the number of revolutions of a tire) used to calculate vehicle speed. The gyroscopic sensor 28 detects the angular velocity of rotation of a moving body (vehicle). The GPS receiver 29 measures the current location, speed, and direction of movement of the moving body, based on signals from GPS satellites. These devices are used by the arithmetic processing device 11 to detect the current position of a vehicle on which the on-board device 10 is mounted.
[0043] The FM multiplexed broadcast receiver 30 receives an FM multiplexed broadcast transmitted using an FM broadcast wave. The FM multiplexed broadcast includes an overview of current traffic information, vehicle information and communication system (VICS) information, etc.
[0044] The beacon receiver 31 receives, for example, an overview of current traffic information from VICS information transmitted by light or radio wave or similar means. The image capture device 32 is an on-board camera and captures an image of the vehicle interior and the vehicle exterior (around the vehicle).
[0045] A functional block indicating a functional configuration of the embedded device 10 is now described. Figure 2 illustrates an example of a functional block of the embedded device 10.
[0046] The embedded device 10 comprises a control unit 120 and a storage unit 130.
[0047] The control unit 120 includes an input receiving unit 121, an operation detection unit 122, a display region setting unit 123, a display control unit 124, a priority setting unit 125, and a function processing unit 126.
[0048] The input receiving unit 121 receives an instruction and information input from a user through the input device 25. The operation detection unit 122 detects a touch operation by a user on the touch panel 251 which is the input device 25.
[0049] The display region setting unit 123 sets one or more display regions 211 ([Fig.3]) on the display screen 21. The display region setting unit 123 can dynamically change a division state (a position and a size) of the display region 211 or prompt a user to change the division state of the display region 211, in response to the occurrence of an event.
[0050] Here, the event refers to a touch operation by a user, a change in vehicle speed, the receipt of traffic information, the receipt of an emergency warning, a transition to an automatic driving state, the activation of an external camera, switching to a camera screen, the receipt of an email and a message, an incoming call, approaching an intersection, guidance of a right / left turn, activation of a turn signal, approaching an emergency vehicle, detection of drowsiness, detection of a biological anomaly, a recommendation based on a behavioral history (such as a notification near a store where one stops daily), and the like.
[0051] It should be noted that a case where the display screen 21 is divided into three will be described below by way of example, but the number of divisions can be two, four, or more. The display region setting unit 123 can display a single display region on the display screen without dividing the display screen. Furthermore, for example, in response to an event such as an incoming call, a telephone screen can be displayed enlarged or can be displayed contextually so as to overlap the currently displayed and divided display region.
[0052] The display control unit 124 controls the setting of an arrangement region 301 ([Fig.4]) in each of the display regions 211, and the display of a display object 302 ([Fig.5]). Display control unit 124 sets attribute information (details will be described later) for layout region 301 and display object 302. In addition, display control unit 124 changes the size, position, attribute information, and similar properties of layout region 301 in response to a size change in display region 211. Display control unit 124 changes the position and attribute information of display object 302 arranged in display region 301 in response to a size change in layout region 301.
[0053] The priority setting unit 125 sets the priority for layout region 301 provided in display region 211 and display object 302 arranged in layout region 301. The priority setting unit 125 can set a predetermined initial value as the priority for layout region 301 and display object 302, and then change the priority according to an input from a user.
[0054] The priority setting unit 125 can learn a situation in which the priority is changed, and dynamically change the priority based on the learning outcome. Here, the situation refers to an information state that can be acquired by the on-board device 10, such as the current location of a vehicle on which the on-board device 10 is mounted, its speed, traffic conditions, temperature, weather, and a time period. Specifically, for example, the priority of the layout region 301 and the display object 302 corresponding to an air conditioning function can be increased within a predetermined period, and so on.
[0055] In addition, the priority setting unit 125 can temporarily increase the priority for the layout region 301 and the display object 302 corresponding to a predetermined event in response to the occurrence of the predetermined event, and reset the temporarily increased priority to an original value in response to the end of the predetermined event.
[0056] It should be noted that, when the priority is changed, the display of layout region 301 and display object 302 is also dynamically changed based on the priority. The priority setting unit 125 updates layout region 133 information based on the priority set for layout region 301, and updates display object 134 information based on the priority set for display object 302.
[0057] The function processing unit 126 performs processing to obtain a predetermined function in response to a touch operation by a user on an operation receive button displayed in the display area of the display 21. Such a function is here, for example, a navigation function, an air conditioning setting, a video and music playback, the transmission / reception of an email and a message, outgoing and incoming calls, etc.
[0058] The storage unit 130 stores predetermined information. The storage unit 130 is implemented with the ROM 113 and the storage device 23. Various types of information such as map information 131, display region information 132, layout region information 133, display object information 134, and others are stored in the storage unit 130.
[0059] Information about terrain, roads, and the like that is used for the navigation function is recorded as map information 131. A division state of each of the display regions 211 provided on the display screen 21 is recorded as display region information 132. A shape, size, position, attribute information, and priority of the layout region 301 provided in each of the display regions 211 are recorded as layout region information 133. Data, attribute information, and priority of the display object 302 (such as an icon, image, text, pop-up window, and a list as an operation receive button) displayed in each of the display regions 211 are recorded as display object information 134.
[0060] It should be noted that the functional blocks of the embedded device 10, namely the input receiver unit 121, the operation detection unit 122, the display region setting unit 123, the display control unit 124, the priority setting unit 125, and the function processing unit 126, are implemented by the CPU 111, which executes predetermined programs. These programs are stored in the ROM 113 or the storage device 23 of the embedded device 10 and are loaded into the RAM 112 at runtime and executed by the CPU 111.
[0061] Each functional block illustrated in [Fig. 2] is classified according to its main processing contents, for a better understanding of the functions of the embedded device 10 implemented in this embodiment. Therefore, the The way in which each function is classified and designated does not limit the present invention. Each configuration of the embedded device 10 can be classified into several components, depending on the processing content. Each configuration can be classified so that one component performs more processing.
[0062] All or part of the functional blocks may be constituted by hardware (an integrated circuit such as an ASIC, or similar) implemented in a computer. The processing of each of the functional blocks may be executed by a single hardware element, or may be executed by a plurality of hardware elements.
[0063] <Région d'affichage sur écran d'affichage de l'affichage 21>
[0064] Now, the display region 211 set on the display screen of the display 21 will be described. As described above, in the embedded device 10, the display region setting unit 123 can divide the display screen of the display 21, and provide a plurality of (three in this embodiment) display regions 211.
[0065] Fig. 3 illustrates an example of displaying the three display regions 211 (a first display region 2111, a second display region 2112, and a third display region 2113) set on the display screen of the display 21.
[0066] For example, a navigation screen, an air conditioning screen, an AV screen, an application screen, a telephone screen, a camera screen, and the like, can be assigned to each of the display areas 211. A plurality of operation receive buttons relating to different functions (for example, an air conditioner, an audio system and a call) can be displayed coexistingly in a display area 211.
[0067] When the plurality of display regions 211 are provided on the display 21, the display control unit 124 provides a movable display region 212 in a position where the boundary regions 213 between the display regions 211 intersect. A specific display object (an analog clock in the case of [Fig.3]) can be displayed in the movable display region 212. When a user touches and drags the specific display object displayed in the movable display region 212, the display control unit 124 moves one display position of the movable display region 212. Then, the display region setting unit 123 dynamically changes the size of each of the display regions 211 on the display screen in response to the movement of the movable display region 212, and confirms the size of each of the display regions 211 when the user releases the touch of the movable display region 212.
[0068] It should be noted that the movement of the mobile display region 212 and a change in size of each of the display regions 211 due to the movement are carried out in response not only to an operation by a user, but also to the occurrence of an event.
[0069] A minimum size that cannot be further reduced can be set for each of the display regions 211.
[0070] In response to the dynamic change in state of each of the display regions 211 by the display region setting unit 123, the display control unit 124 dynamically changes the display of the display object 302 arranged in each of the display regions 211. Details will be described later.
[0071] Not only the touch panel 251, but also the switch 252 can be used to receive an operation from a user performed on the movable display area 212 on the display screen.
[0072] <Région d'agencement 301 fournie dans la région d'affichage 211>
[0073] Now, the layout region 301 provided in each of the display regions 211 will be described. Figure 4 is a diagram illustrating an example of a plurality of layout regions 301a to 301f provided in the display region 211.
[0074] The layout regions 301a to 301f are regions for arranging display objects 302 ([Fig. 5]) such as an operation receive button, various icons, a thumbnail image, and text information. It should be noted that, in the drawing, the positions of the layout regions 301a to 301f in the display region 211 are indicated by dashed lines, but the layout region 301 is not displayed on an actual screen. In other words, a user cannot visually recognize the layout region 301.
[0075] In the example in [Fig.4], the arrangement regions 301a, 301b, and 301c elongated in the horizontal direction and the arrangement regions 301d, 301e, and 301f elongated in the vertical direction are provided in the display region 211. Hereafter, when it is not necessary to distinguish the arrangement regions 301a to 301f individually, the arrangement regions 301a to 301f are simply designated as the arrangement region 301.
[0076] The layout region 301 has an axis (not shown) (hereafter referred to as the directional axis) having a directionality (a vector) from one endpoint (a starting point) of the region to another endpoint (an ending point). The directional axis of the layout region 301 is not limited to a straight line parallel to the horizontal or vertical direction of the display region 211, and may be a straight line in an oblique direction. The directional axis is not limited to a straight line, and may be a curved line.
[0077] A shape of arrangement region 301 is, for example, a rectangle. However, in [Fig. 4], arrangement region 301 is shown as an arrow region to represent a direction of its directional axis. It should be noted that a shape of arrangement region 301 is not limited to a rectangle and can be another shape.
[0078] Hereafter, a length of the directional axis of the arrangement region 301 is called the directional axis length, and a length in a direction orthogonal to the directional axis of the arrangement region 301 is called the width.
[0079] The layout region 301 has a directional axis length and a position which are changed while a directional axis direction and a width are maintained in response to a change in size of the display region 211. A maximum value can be set for the directional axis length of the layout region 301.
[0080] In response to a user operation, the display control unit 124 can set, for the layout region 301, an offset value representing a distance between an end of the display region 211 and the layout region 301. In addition, the display control unit 124 can set, for the layout region 301, an offset value representing a distance between an end of the display region 211 and the layout region 301 according to a width of the layout region 301.
[0081] cdisplay object attribute information 302>
[0082] Now, [Fig. 5] is a diagram intended to illustrate the relative priority of display objects 3021 to 3024 arranged in arrangement region 301, and a visible or invisible state as attribute information. Hereafter, when display objects 3021 to 3024 do not require individual distinction, display objects 3021 to 3024 are simply referred to as display object 302.
[0083] For display object 302 arranged in layout region 301, the relative priority of the other display object 302 arranged in the same layout region 301 can be set. An index followed from display object 302 (for example, "1" from display object 3021) is a value representing the priority. In the present embodiment, a higher value is assumed to represent a higher priority. The same applies to the following drawings.
[0084] A visible state or an invisible state is set as attribute information for each of the display objects 302 arranged in the arrangement region 301.
[0085] In addition, collision determination regions 3031 to 3034 are provided for each of the display objects 3021 to 3024 arranged in the arrangement region 301, respectively. Hereafter, where the collision determination regions 3031 to 3034 do not require individual distinction, the collision determination regions 3031 to 3034 are simply designated as collision determination region 303. In the case of [Fig. 5], one shape of the collision determination region 303 is a rectangle, but one shape of it is not limited to a rectangle.
[0086] The collision determination region 303 is a region intended to determine a collision between display objects 302 adjacent to each other in the arrangement region 301, which is not displayed on the screen and is not visually recognized by a user.
[0087] In the example in [Fig.5], the display objects 3021 to 3024 varying in priority are arranged in the arrangement region 301, and attribute information elements of the display objects 3021 to 3024 are all set to a visible state in a state indicated in a topmost column (first column).
[0088] When, in response to a user operation or the occurrence of an event, for example, a size of the display region 211 (not shown) is reduced from the state shown in the topmost column, and a directional axis length of the arrangement region 301 is reduced accordingly, the display objects 3021 to 3024 are displayed closer together while maintaining each size until the collision determination regions 3031 to 3034 come into contact, as shown in a second and third column of [Fig.5].
[0089] Next, when the size of the display region 211 is further reduced, and the directional axis length of the arrangement region 301 is reduced accordingly, the collision determination region 3033 of the display object 3023 and the collision determination region 3034 of the adjacent display object 3024 overlap the collision determination region 3031 of the display object 3021 with the lowest priority, the collision determination region 3033 and the collision determination region 3034 being adjacent to the collision determination region 3031, as shown in the fourth and fifth columns of [Fig. 5]. Then, visual processing is performed on the display object 3021 according to the degree of overlap.
[0090] In the case of [Fig. 5], as a visual processing according to the degree of overlap between the collision determination regions 303, the size of the display object 3021 is progressively reduced and displayed. However, instead of or in addition to the progressive reduction in size, for example, the display may dim by increasing the transmittance of the display object 3021, the brightness or color may be changed, a gradation may be applied to a tone, and so on. Furthermore, in addition to the visual processing, for example, a sound or vibration may be generated. Implementing such visual processing may allow a user to recognize that the display object 3021 is about to be eliminated.
[0091] Then, when the size of the display region 211 is further reduced, and the directional axis length of the layout region 301 is reduced accordingly, a degree of overlap, with respect to the collision determination region 3031 of the display object 3021 having the lowest priority, of the determination region The collision detection region 3033 of the adjacent display object 3023 and the collision determination region 3034 of the adjacent display object 3024 becomes equal to or greater than a predetermined threshold value. In this case, as shown in a sixth column in [Fig. 5], the display object 3021 is deleted (the attribute information is changed from a visible state to an invisible state, and the display object 3021 is removed from the screen).
[0092] Hereafter, a situation in which attribute information is changed from a visible state to an invisible state to remove the display object 302 from the screen is also referred to as "elimination". Conversely, a situation in which attribute information is changed from an invisible state to a visible state to display the display object 302 on the screen again is also referred to as "restoration".
[0093] Conversely, when the directional axis length of the layout region 301 is extended by enlarging the display region 211 (not shown) to a size greater than that of the display region 211, the display of the display object 302 transitions from a lower column side to an upper column side in [Fig. 5]. In other words, the degree of overlap, with respect to the collision determination region 3031 of the display object 3021 which is eliminated (which has its attribute information changed to an invisible state and is removed from the screen), the collision determination region 3033 of the adjacent display object 3023 and the collision determination region 3034 of the adjacent display object 3024 becomes less than a predetermined threshold value. In this case, through visual processing consisting of changing the attribute information of display object 3021 from an invisible state to a visible state, progressively increasing the size of display object 3021 according to a degree of overlap between collision determination regions 303, and similarly, display object 3021 is restored and displayed between display object 3023 and display object 3024. In this way, a user can recognize that display object 3021 is restored and displayed.
[0094] It should be noted that an initial value is predetermined for the relative priority of display objects 302 arranged in the same layout region 301, but the priority setting unit 125 can modify the relative priority in response to a user operation. When the display object 302 is an operation receive button, the priority setting unit 125 can change a priority according to the frequency of a user operation, or can set the priority of the previously used display object 302 to the highest level.
[0095] Furthermore, the priority setting unit 125 can dynamically change the priority according to a vehicle's movement situation (such as speed), for example by lowering the priority of the display object 302, which is a string of characters, during movement, and similarly. Furthermore, the priority setting unit 125 It can learn a situation in which a priority is changed, and dynamically change the priority based on the learning outcome. In this way, the visibility of the 302 display object for a user and the operability when the 302 display object is an operation receive button can be improved.
[0096] cDisplay control processing performed by the embedded device 10>
[0097] Now, [Fig. 6] is a flowchart intended to illustrate an example of processing display command to achieve the elimination of display object 302 by the visual processing illustrated in [Fig.5].
[0098] The display command processing begins after the activation of the on-board device 10, and is carried out continuously until the end of an operation of the on-board device 10.
[0099] First, when the display region setting unit 123 reduces the size of each of the display regions 211 in response to the occurrence of an event that reduces the size of the display region 211, the display control unit 124 changes the size and position of the layout region 301 provided in each of the display regions 211. Then, the display control unit 124 moves each of the display objects 302 arranged in the same layout region 301 in a direction in which a gap between the display objects 302 is reduced (step IF).
[0100] Next, the display control unit 124 determines whether the collision determination regions 303 of each of the display objects 302 arranged in the same arrangement region 301 come into contact with each other (step S2). Here, when the display control unit 124 determines that the collision determination regions 303 do not come into contact with each other (NO in step S2), the processing returns to the IF step, and step 1 and subsequent steps are repeated.
[0101] Next, when the size of the display region 211 and the arrangement region 301 is further reduced, the gap between each of the display objects 302 is further reduced, and the display control unit 124 determines that the collision determination regions 303 of each of the display objects 302 arranged in the same arrangement region 301 come into contact with each other (YES in step S2). From this point on, only the display object 3023 and the display object 3024 adjacent to the display object 3021 that is an elimination target are allowed to move closer to each other, the display object 3021 having the lowest priority as an elimination target, and the other display objects 302 (in one case of [Fig. 5], the object display object 3024 and display object 3022) are not allowed to get closer to each other and maintain the interval between them.
[0102] Next, the display control unit 124 determines whether the collision determination region 3033 of display object 3023 and the collision determination region 3034 of display object 3024 overlap the collision determination region 3031 of display object 3021, which is a target for elimination, with display object 3023 and display object 3024 being adjacent to display object 3021 (step S3). Here, when the display control unit 124 determines that the collision determination regions 3033 and 3034 do not overlap the collision determination region 3031 (NO in step S3), the processing returns to step S1, and step S1 and subsequent steps are repeated.
[0103] Next, when the size of the display region 211 and the arrangement region 301 is further reduced, the gap between the display object 3021 and the display objects 3023 and 3024 is further reduced, and the display control unit 124 determines that the collision determination regions 3033 and 3034 overlap the collision determination region 3031 (YES in step S3), the processing proceeds to step S4.
[0104] Next, the display control unit 124 performs the visual processing of reducing the display object 3021 according to a degree of overlap of the collision determination regions 3033 and 3034 with respect to the collision determination region 3031, and similarly (step S4). In this way, a user can recognize that the display object 3021 is about to be eliminated.
[0105] Next, the display control unit 124 determines whether the degree of overlap between collision detection regions 3033 and 3034 with respect to collision detection region 3031 is equal to or greater than a predetermined threshold value (step S5). Here, when the display control unit 124 determines that the degree of overlap is not equal to or greater than the predetermined threshold value (NO in step S5), the processing returns to step IF, and step 1 and subsequent steps are repeated. In this way, the visual processing performed on the display object 3021 continues.
[0106] Next, when the size of the display region 211 and the arrangement region 301 is further reduced, the gap between the display object 3021 and the display objects 3023 and 3024 is further reduced, and the display control unit 124 determines that the degree of overlap of the collision determination regions 3033 and 3034 with respect to the collision determination region 3031 is equal to or greater than the predetermined threshold value (YES in step S5), attribute information of the display object 3021 that is a target for elimination changes from a visible state to an invisible state to eliminate the display object 3021 (step S6). Subsequently, the processing returns to the IF step, and the IF step and subsequent steps are repeated.
[0107] The display command processing during the elimination of the display object 302 described above can eliminate, according to a relative priority, the display object 302 displayed in the display region 211, performs the visual processing immediately before the elimination, and can thus allow a user to recognize the display object 3021 which is about to be eliminated.
[0108] Now, [Fig.7] is a flowchart intended to illustrate an example of display command processing to obtain a restored display of the display object 302 eliminated by the visual processing illustrated in [Fig.5].
[0109] The display command processing begins after the activation of the on-board device 10, and is carried out continuously until the end of an operation of the on-board device 10.
[0110] First, when the display region setting unit 123 increases the size of each of the display regions 211 in response to the occurrence of an event that increases the size of the display region 211, the display control unit 124 changes the size and position of the layout region 301 provided in each of the display regions 211. Then, the display control unit 124 moves each of the display objects 302 (including the discarded display object 3021) arranged in the same layout region 301 in a direction in which a gap between each of the display objects 302 is increased (step SI 1).
[0111] Next, the display control unit 124 determines whether the degree of overlap between the collision determination regions 3033 and 3034 of display objects 3023 and 3024 and the collision determination region 3031 of display object 3021 is equal to or greater than a predetermined threshold value (step S12). Here, when the display control unit 124 determines that the degree of overlap is equal to or greater than the predetermined threshold value (YES in step S12), the removal of display object 3021 continues, the processing returns to step SI 1, and step 11 and subsequent steps are repeated.
[0112] Conversely, when the display control unit 124 determines that the degree of overlap is not equal to or greater than the predetermined threshold value (is less than the predetermined threshold value) (NOT at step S12), the display control unit 124 then displays the display object 3021 while performing the visual processing of gradual and similar enlargement between the display object 3023 and the display object 3024 (step S13). In this way, a user can recognize that the display object 3021 is about to be restored and displayed.
[0113] Next, the display control unit 124 determines whether collision determination regions 3033 and 3034 overlap collision determination region 3031 (step S14). Here, when the display control unit 124 determines that collision determination regions 3033 and 3034 overlap the region of Collision detection 3031 (YES at step S14) returns the processing to step SI 1, and step SI 1 and subsequent steps are repeated. In this way, the visual processing performed on display object 3021 continues.
[0114] Next, when the size of the display region 211 and the arrangement region 301 is further enlarged, the gap between each of the display objects 302 is further increased, and the display control unit 124 determines that the collision determination regions 3033 and 3034 do not overlap the collision determination region 3031 (NO at step S14), the display control unit 124 then terminates the visual processing performed on the display object 3021, and restores the display of the display object 3021 (step S15). Subsequently, the processing returns to step S1, and step S1 and the following steps are repeated.
[0115] The display command processing during the restoration and display of the display object 302 described above performs the visual processing immediately before the restoration and display of the discarded display object 302, and can thus enable a user to recognize the display object 3021 which is about to be restored and displayed.
[0116] <Exemples spécifiques d'élimination (restauration) par traitement visuel de l'objet d'affichage 302>
[0117] Figures 8 to 10 now illustrate specific examples of elimination (restoration) by visual processing of the display object 302.
[0118] In the example illustrated in [Fig. 8], the relative priority of three display objects 302 (buttons A, B, and C) displayed in display region 211 is, in ascending order, button A, button C, and button B. In this case, when the size of display region 211 and arrangement region 301 (not shown) is reduced, button A is eliminated accordingly by the visual processing. Then, when the size of display region 211 and arrangement region 301 is reduced further, button C at one right end is then eliminated accordingly by the visual processing (not shown).
[0119] Conversely, when the size of display region 211 and arrangement region 301 is enlarged from the state where buttons A and C are eliminated, button C is first restored accordingly by visual processing. When the size of display region 211 and arrangement region 301 is further enlarged, button A is restored accordingly by visual processing.
[0120] In the example shown in [Fig. 9], of two display objects 302 (a song name display column and an artist name display column) displayed in display region 211, the relative priority of the artist name display column on the right is lower. When the size of display region 211 and layout region 301 (not shown) is reduced, the display column of The artist's name is consequently eliminated by the visual processing. Specifically, as a visual processing step, the artist's name display column is reduced from the right side, and thus a string of characters representing the artist's name displayed in the artist's name display column is progressively removed from the right side.
[0121] Conversely, when the size of display region 211 and arrangement region 301 is enlarged from the state where the artist name display column is suppressed, the artist name display column is restored accordingly by the visual processing. Specifically, during the visual processing, the artist name display column is extended to the right, and thus the string representing the artist name displayed in the artist name display column is added to the right side.
[0122] In the example illustrated in [Fig.10], among three display objects 302 (a rewind button (RF), a PLAY button, and a fast forward button (FF)) displayed in the display region 211, the relative priority of the RF button and the FF button at both ends is generally the lowest, and the RF button and the FF button are simultaneously eliminated by visual processing due to a reduction of one size of the display region 211 and the layout region 301 (not shown).
[0123] Conversely, when the size of the display region 211 and the layout region 301 is enlarged from the state where the FR button and the FF button are eliminated, the FR button and the FF button are consequently restored simultaneously by the visual processing.
[0124] As illustrated in Figures 8 to 10, by changing the visual processing for the elimination or restored display in a specific way of the display object 302, it is possible to enable a user to easily recognize the display object which is subsequently eliminated and the display object which is subsequently restored and displayed.
