Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: ANESTHETIC GAS DISPENSING DEVICE Technical field
[0001] The present invention relates to an anesthetic gas distribution device and, more particularly, to an anesthetic gas distribution device in which a plurality of blocks arranged in a manifold block are organized into a module. Existing technique
[0002] There is a trend to use primarily inhalation anesthesia to anesthetize laboratory animals for surgery, drug administration, tissue sampling, and image capture to be performed on the animals.
[0003] In the case of an anesthetic gas manifold of the related art, since the number of gas discharge ports of each manifold or a position of the gas discharge port is fixed, the number of samples (laboratory animals) or the position of the sample must conform to the specifications of the manifold. For this reason, there is a problem in that the number of samples increases and the anesthetic gas manifold of the related art imposes a limit in the delivery of anesthetic gas to a large sample.

[0042] [Fig.l] is a view showing an overall shape of an anesthetic gas delivery device 100 according to an embodiment of the present invention, [Fig. 2] is a view showing a state in which a part of the anesthetic gas delivery device 100 according to the embodiment of the present invention is disassembled, [Fig. 3] is a view showing an internal structure of a sub-block 14 of a manifold block 10 (a section taken along a line A-A' of [Fig. 1]), [Fig. 4] is a view showing a detailed structure of the anesthetic gas delivery device 100 according to the present invention (a section taken along a line B-B' of [Fig. 1]), and [Fig. 5] is a view showing a detailed structure of the anesthetic gas delivery device 100 according to the present invention (a section taken along a line C-C' of [Fig. 1]).In this case, an external gas supply source 200, a supply pump 220, a discharge pump 300, and a sample S, which will be described below with reference to the sectional views of FIGS. 4 and 5, are not shown in these drawings.
[0043] In the embodiment of the present invention described below, a first direction is defined as an X-axis direction, a second direction perpendicular to the first direction is defined as a Y-axis direction, and a direction perpendicular to both the first and second directions is defined as a Z-axis direction.
[0044] Referring to Figures 1 and 2, the anesthetic gas delivery device 100 according to the embodiment of the present invention may comprise the manifold block 10 comprising a main block 12 and one or more sub-blocks 14 coupled to the main block 12.
[0045] The main block 12 of the manifold block 10 comprises a gas inlet port Ginlet through which gas is supplied from the external gas supply source 200, and a gas outlet port Goutlet through which the gas is discharged to the outside. For example, the gas may be an anesthetic gas to be delivered to the sample S.
[0046] In this case, the feed pump 220 may be arranged between the external gas supply source 200 and the gas inlet Gentrée and provide pumping power so that gas from the external gas supply source 200 can be supplied into the main block 12 and the sub-blocks 14 via the gas inlet Gentrée-
[0047] One or more sub-blocks 14 may be provided, and the sub-blocks 14 may be coupled to one or both opposite sides of the main block 12 so as to be separable in the first direction.
[0048] Referring to Figures 1 to 4, the main block 12 and the sub-block 14 may respectively include channel portions 122 and 142, and the gas supplied from the external gas supply source 200 via the inlet port of Gent™ gas can pass through the channel parts 122 and 142. In this case, the gas inlet port Gentrée can be connected to the channel part 122 of the main block 12.
[0049] A sliding unit 20 may be disposed in the channel portion 142 of the sub-block 14, and the sliding unit 20 may be moved in the sub-block 14 in the first direction along the channel portion 142 of the sub-block 14. In this case, the sliding unit 20 may have, but is not limited to, a hollow cylindrical shape corresponding to a shape of the channel portion 142.
[0050] At the same time, the anesthetic gas delivery device 100 according to the present invention further comprises delivery nozzles 30. For example, the delivery nozzle 30 may be connected to the manifold block 10 in the second direction perpendicular to the first direction and may deliver the gas to the sample S.
[0051] In more detail, the distribution nozzle 30 can be coupled to the channel portion 122 of the main block 12 and to the sliding unit 20 in the second direction perpendicular to the first direction. The distribution nozzle 30 can distribute, to the sample S, the gas which is supplied into the channel portion 122 of the main block 12 or which is supplied into the channel portion 142 of the sub-block 14 via the gas inlet port Gentrée-
[0052] As shown in [Fig. 1], the sample S may be immobilized at a position corresponding to the dispensing nozzle 30 and be immobilized by a separate immobilizing device (not shown). For example, the sample S may, but is not limited to, a small animal such as a rodent.
[0053] Referring to Figures 1 to 3 and 5, the main block 12 and the sub-block 14 may respectively have residual gas flow portions 124 and 144 therein. The residual gas flow portion 124 or 144 may be positioned at a position spaced from the channel portion 122 or 142 in the second direction. Gas, which remains after a process of delivering the gas to the sample S, may flow through the residual gas flow portion 124 or 144. However, the residual gas flow portion 124 or 144 need not be spaced from the channel portion 122 or 142, and the residual gas flow portion 124 or 144 may be disposed adjacent to the channel portion 122 or 142 in the second direction.
[0054] The main block 12 and the sub-block 14 may respectively have inlet ports 16. The inlet port 16 may be connected to the residual gas flow portion 124 or 144 in the second direction. For example, the gas, which remains after the process of delivering the gas to the sample S, may flow into the residual gas flow portion 124 or 144 through the inlet port 16.
[0055] In this case, the discharge pump 300 may be arranged between the gas outlet port Gouttie and the outside and may provide pumping power so that the residual gas flow in the residual gas flow portions 124 and 144 can be discharged to the outside.
[0056] In the embodiment of the present invention, the anesthetic gas delivery device 100 and the sample S may be positioned in a separate sealed chamber (not shown).
[0057] Referring to Figures 2 to 4, the anesthetic gas delivery device 100 may further comprise first connection units 40 and second connection units 50.
[0058] In more detail, the channel portion 122 of the main block 12 and the sliding unit 20 of the sub-block 14 can be connected by the first connection unit 40, and the sliding units 20 of the adjacent sub-blocks 14 can be connected by the second connection unit 50.
[0059] For example, each of the first and second connection units 40 and 50 may have a hollow shape. The gas, which is supplied into the channel portions 122 and 142 through the gas inlet Ginlet, may be delivered to the sample S via the delivery nozzles 30 while flowing in the first direction inside the first connection unit 40, inside the sliding unit 20, and inside the second connection unit 50.
[0060] In more detail, the first connection unit 40 comprises a first flow tube 42 having, therein, a channel through which the gas supplied into the channel portion 122 of the main block 12 flows, an introduction portion 44, the diameter of which is larger than that of the first flow tube 42, and coupled to the channel portion 122 of the main block 12 in the first direction, and a first enlarged diameter portion 46, the diameter of which is larger than that of the first flow tube 42 and that of the introduction portion 44, connected to the introduction portion 44, and received in a first groove portion 1422 formed in the channel portion 142 of the sub-block 14 which will be described in detail below. In this case, the first flow tube 42 can be introduced into the sliding unit 20.The insertion portion 44 and the first enlarged diameter portion 46 may protrude, in a diameter direction, from an outer periphery of the first flow tube 42.
[0061] The second connection unit 50 comprises a second flow tube 52 having, therein, a channel through which the gas supplied into the first connection unit 40 and the sliding unit 20 flows, and a second enlarged diameter portion 54, the diameter of which is larger than that of the second flow tube 52, and received in the first groove portion 1422 formed in the channel portion 142 of the sub-block 14. In this case, one side of the second flow tube 52 based on the second enlarged diameter portion 54 can be inserted into one of the sliding units 20, and the other side of the second flow tube 52 based on the second enlarged diameter portion 54 can be inserted into the other of the sliding units 20. In addition, the second enlarged diameter portion 54 of the second connection unit 50 can be received in the first groove portions 1422 provided in the channel portions 142 of the different sub-blocks 14. The second enlarged diameter portion 54 can protrude, in the diameter direction, from an outer periphery of the second flow tube 52.
[0062] At the same time, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 4, the first connection unit 40 may be formed to be asymmetrical in the first direction relative to the first enlarged diameter portion 46, but the present invention is not limited thereto.
[0063] As shown in Figures 2 and 4, the second connection unit 50 may be formed to be symmetrical in the first direction with respect to the second enlarged diameter portion 54, but the present invention is not limited thereto.
[0064] Referring to Figures 2, 3 and 5, the anesthetic gas delivery device 100 further comprises third connection units 60.
[0065] The residual gas flow portion 124 of the main block 12 and the residual gas flow portion 144 of the sub-block 14 can be connected by the third connection unit 60, and the residual gas flow portions 144 of the sub-blocks 14 can be connected by the third connection unit 60.
[0066] For example, the third connection unit 60 may have a hollow shape. The gas, which is introduced into the residual gas flow portion 144 of the sub-block 14 through the inlet port 16 of the sub-block 14, may flow into the third connection unit 60 and be discharged through the gas outlet port Gouttie.
[0067] In more detail, the third connection unit 60 comprises a third flow tube 62 having a channel through which the gas introduced into the residual gas flow portion 144 of the sub-block 14 flows. The gas, which is introduced into the residual gas flow portion 144 of the sub-block 14, can flow into the residual gas flow portion 124 of the main block 12 via the third flow tube 62 and then be discharged through the gas outlet Goutie-
[0068] Referring to Figures 1-4, the dispensing nozzles 30 include a first dispensing nozzle 32 coupled to the channel portion 122 of the main block 12, and a second dispensing nozzle 34 coupled to the sliding unit 20 and adapted to move together with the sliding unit 20 upon movement of the sliding unit 20 in the first direction.
[0069] At the same time, the channel portion 142 of the sub-block 14 comprises the first groove portions 1422 in which the first enlarged diameter portion 46 of the first connection unit 40 and the second enlarged diameter portion 54 of the second connection unit 50 are received, and a second groove portion 1424 designed to delimit a space in which the second dispensing nozzle 34 is moved in the first direction.
[0070] For example, as shown in Figures 3 and 4, the first groove portions 1422 may be provided at lateral sides of the sub-block 14 based on the first direction. The first groove portion 1422 may have a larger diameter than a space of the channel portion 142 of the sub-block 14 in which the sliding unit 20 is disposed. The first enlarged diameter portion 46 of the first connecting unit 40 and the second enlarged diameter portion 54 of the second connecting unit 50 are received in the first groove portions 1422, thereby preventing separation of the sliding unit 20 from the channel portion 142 of the sub-block 14 when the sliding unit 20 moves in the first direction.
[0071] As shown in FIGS. 1 to 4, the second groove portion 1424 may be provided at a lateral side of the sub-block 14 based on the second direction. For example, the second groove portion 1424 may be shaped with the shape of a long hole provided in the first direction, thereby defining the space in which the second dispensing nozzle 34 is moved in the first direction when the sliding unit 20 moves in the first direction.
[0072] Referring to Figures 1, 2, 4 and 5, the anesthetic gas delivery device 100 further comprises first plugs 70 coupled to the channel portions 142 of the sub-blocks 14 positioned, among the sub-blocks 14, at positions furthest from the main block 12, and second plugs 80 coupled to the residual gas flow portions 144 of the sub-blocks 14 positioned, among the sub-blocks 14, at positions furthest from the main block 12.
[0073] More particularly, the first plugs 70 can prevent the gas, which is supplied into the channel portions 122 and 142 from the gas inlet Ginlet, from leaking outward (prevent the supplied gas from leaking in the first direction).
[0074] The second plugs 80 can prevent the residual gas, which is recovered and flows in the residual gas flow portions 124 and 144 of the main block 12 and the sub-block 14, from leaking to the outside (prevent the recovered gas from leaking in the first direction), thereby making it possible to discharge the entire amount of gas to the outside through the gas outlet port Gouttie.
[0075] Referring to Figures 3 and 4, the anesthetic gas delivery device 100 further comprises sealing members C coupled to sealing member receiving portions 22 disposed on the sliding unit 20 and adapted to seal a space present between the first connection unit 40 and the sliding unit 20 and a space present between the second connection unit 50 and the sliding unit 20.
[0076] In more detail, the sealing element C can seal a space present between the sliding unit 20 and the first flow tube 42 of the first connection unit 40 and a space present between the sliding unit 20 and the second flow tube 52 of the second connection unit 50.
[0077] At the same time, the sealing member receiving portion 22 may be formed along an inner peripheral surface of the sliding unit 20, and the sealing member C may be made of a material having excellent waterproof properties and wear resistance.
[0078] [Fig.6] is a view showing a gas flow in the anesthetic gas delivery device 100 according to the present invention at a time of delivery of the gas to the sample S.
[0079] Referring to Figures 1, 2 and 6, in the anesthetic gas delivery device 100 according to the present invention, the gas, which is supplied into the channel portion 122 of the main block 12 through the gas inlet Ginlet connected to the channel portion 122 of the main block 12, may be discharged to the outside via the first delivery nozzle 32 or pass through the channel portion 142 of the sub-block 14 while flowing through the first flow tube 42 of the first connection unit 40, the sliding unit 20 and the second flow tube 52 of the second connection unit 50 and then be discharged to the outside via the second delivery nozzle 34.
[0080] In this case, the first plug 70 can prevent the gas, which is supplied into the channel parts 122 and 124 from the gas inlet Ginlet, from leaking outward in the first direction, thereby enabling delivery of the entire amount of gas to the sample S via the delivery nozzle 30.
[0081] According to the embodiment of the present invention, it is possible to provide the anesthetic gas delivery device 100 in which the plurality of blocks arranged in the manifold block 10 are organized into the module, so that the sub-block 14 can be added in a manner corresponding to the number of samples S, and the anesthetic gas delivery device 100 can be mounted and dismounted easily by the user according to his need.
[0082] At the same time, according to the embodiment of the present invention, the manifold block 10 is shown as having the configuration in which the two sub-blocks 14 are disposed at each of the two opposite sides of the single main block 12, but the present invention is not limited to this. A single sub-block 14 may be disposed at one side of the main block 12, or it is possible to additionally arrange at least three sub-blocks 14 at each of the two opposite sides of the main block 12 depending on the number of samples S.
[0083] [Fig.7] is a view showing a gas flow in the device of anesthetic gas distribution 100 according to the present invention at the time of gas recovery.
[0084] Referring to Figures 1, 2 and 7, the gas, which remains after the process of delivering the gas to the sample S, can flow into the residual gas flow portions 124 and 144 via the inlet ports 16 of the anesthetic gas delivery device 100 according to the present invention.
[0085] In this case, the gas, which is introduced into the residual gas flow portion 124 of the main block 12 via the inlet port 16 of the main block 12, can be immediately discharged to the outside through the gas outlet port Gouttie.
[0086] At the same time, the gas, which is introduced into the residual gas flow portion 144 of the sub-block 14 via the inlet port 16 of the sub-block 14, can flow to the residual gas flow portion 124 of the main block 12 through the third flow tube 62 of the third connection unit 60 and then be discharged to the outside through the gas outlet port Gsor connected to the residual gas flow portion 124 of the main block 12.
[0087] In this case, the second plug 80 can prevent the residual gas, which is recovered and flows in the residual gas flow portions 124 and 144 of the main block 12 and the sub-block 14, from leaking outward in the first direction, thereby discharging the entire amount of gas outward through the gas outlet Gout.
[0088] Figures 8A and 8B are views showing states in which a position of the dispensing nozzle 30 has been changed at the time of mounting the manifold block 10, and Figures 9A and 9B are views showing sections indicating states in which a position of the dispensing nozzle 30 has been changed at the time of mounting the manifold block 10. In this case, the external gas supply source 200, the supply pump 220 and the discharge pump 300 are not shown in Figures 8 and 9.
[0089] In this case, FIG. 8B is a view showing a state before the position of the dispensing nozzle 30 is changed, and FIG. 8A is a view showing a state after the position of the dispensing nozzle 30 is changed to match the position of the sample S.
[0090] Referring to Figures 8 A, 8B, 9 A and 9B, the first dispensing nozzle 32 which, among the dispensing nozzles 30, is coupled to the channel portion 122 of the main block 12, can be maintained in a fixed state. However, the first dispensing nozzle 32 does not necessarily have to be maintained in a fixed state. A separate sliding unit 20 may also be provided in the channel portion 122 of the main block 12, and the first dispensing nozzle 32 may be coupled to the sliding unit 20. Therefore, upon movement of the sliding unit 20 in the first direction in the main block 12, the first dispensing nozzle 32 may be moved in the first direction over an extent over which the sliding unit 20 is movable.
[0091] At the same time, the sliding unit 20 may be disposed in the channel portion 142 of the sub-block 14. As shown in FIG. 9B, the sliding unit 20 may be moved in the first direction in the sub-block 14 along the channel portion 142 of the sub-block 14 relative to the state shown in FIG. 9A.
[0092] In this case, the sliding unit 20 can be moved in the first direction in a space present between the first and second connection units 40 and 50 based on the first direction or in a space present between the second connection units 50 adjacent to each other in the first direction. When moving the sliding unit 20 in the first direction, the second dispensing nozzle 34 can also be moved in the first direction over an extent over which the sliding unit 20 is movable.
[0093] In addition, the sliding unit 20 can be moved in the first direction in a space present between the second connection unit 50 and the first plug 70.
[0094] Therefore, the sliding unit 20 does not separate from the space present between the first connection unit 40 and the second connection unit 50 based on the first direction or the space present between the second connection units 50 based on the first direction, so that the sliding unit 20 can be moved in the first direction in the sealed space and the internal space of the sliding unit 20 can maintain a constant gas pressure at all times.
[0095] Since the space within the sliding unit 20 always maintains a constant gas pressure, as described above, a constant amount of gas can always be dispensed through the second dispensing nozzle 34 regardless of the movement of the sliding unit 20 in the first direction.
[0096] According to the embodiment of the present invention, the position of the second dispensing nozzle 34, among the dispensing nozzles 30, can be easily adjusted in the first direction in accordance with various conditions of the sample S (the sizes and positions of the samples and the intervals between them). In addition, in the case in which the separate sliding unit 20 is also provided in the channel portion 122 of the main block 12, it is also possible to easily adjust the position of the first dispensing nozzle 32 in the first direction.
