[0034] Detailed Description of Exemplary Embodiments

[0035] In the following, configurations of a liquid chemical sprayer according to one embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying figures.

[0036] Reference 100 in the figures indicates a sprayer according to an embodiment of the present invention.

[0037] In a sprayer 100 according to an embodiment of the present invention, as shown in [Fig. 1], a shape of a neck 112 in which a cross-sectional area is gradually reduced is formed at the front of a main body 110 and a liquid chemical tank 120 is installed at the rear of an inner portion of the main body 100.

[0038] In the liquid chemical sprayer according to one embodiment of the present invention, a method, in which the liquid chemical stored in the liquid chemical tank 120 is pumped and ejected by a pressure difference generated outside and inside a nozzle in a process of to blow air quickly and strongly around the nozzle, is performed. As described above, an air blowing module 130, for forcibly blowing strong wind toward a circumference of the nozzle to generate a large air pressure difference, is installed at the rear of the neck 112. The air blowing module 130 may comprise an electric motor 132 and an air blowing fan 134.

[0039] The neck 112, described above, of the main body 110, is designed to have a structure in which a cross-sectional area decreases toward the front, as shown in the figure. A rotation guide 114, allowing rotation of a nozzle cap 140, to be installed later, is formed to have an annular shape on an inner side of the neck 112 and a guide rail 116, for guiding the forward and backward movements of a nozzle head 150, to be installed later, is formed. An annular assembly groove 118, formed at the rear of the guide rail 116, with a predetermined width, allows stable mounting of a valve housing 170, to be installed later, while a center thereof is maintained.

[0040] The nozzle cap 140 has a structure in which the cross-sectional area decreases toward the front in order to smoothly generate a pressure difference due to air blown by the operation of the air blowing module 130.

[0041] As shown in [Fig. 2], the nozzle cap 140 has a cylindrical structure in which a large diameter portion 140a and a small diameter portion 140b are distinguished by a difference in diameter and is formed between the large diameter portion 140a and the small diameter portion 140b and, at a predetermined portion, an inclined portion 140c is formed whose inner diameter gradually decreases from the large diameter portion toward the small diameter portion. A female screwing portion 142 is formed at a predetermined portion on an inner side of the large diameter portion 140a of the nozzle cap 140 and a minimum diameter portion 144 is formed on an inner side of the small diameter portion 140b.

[0042] More particularly, an annular projection 146 is formed on an end portion of the rear of the nozzle cap 140, assembled to the annular rotation guide 114 formed on the main body 110, so as to protrude outwardly, so that, when the user rotates the nozzle cap 140, rotation is possible on the spot.

[0043] The nozzle head 150 according to an embodiment of the present invention is configured to move forward or backward depending on a direction in which the nozzle cap 140 is rotated. A male screwing portion 152, corresponding to the female screwing portion 142 formed on the nozzle cap (140), is formed at the at a predetermined portion and a nozzle pipe 154, projecting along a predetermined length forward is formed on a central axis. A plurality of nozzle holes 154a are formed at predetermined intervals so that the liquid chemical passing therethrough can be ejected at the front end of the nozzle pipe 154.

[0044] Furthermore, as shown in the figures, a valve hole 156 having a relatively large diameter compared to that of the nozzle pipe 154 at the rear of the nozzle pipe 154 is formed in a predetermined portion.

[0045] Furthermore, a guide plate 158, which is located at the guide rail 116 formed on the main body 110 and guides the linear movement, is formed so as to protrude at the rear of the nozzle head 150, with a square shape. In addition, an anti-rotation protrusion 158a is formed, with a predetermined size, in the upper and lower portions of the guide plate 158.

[0046] As shown in [Fig. 3], the nozzle head 150 includes ribs 150a formed at predetermined angular intervals so that the nozzle channel 154 is disposed in the center. The ribs 150a may be shaped like spinning tops so that a swirl is induced in the air flowing from the rear to the front. It is preferable that the ribs 150a be six in number, formed at 60-degree intervals.

[0047] A valve body 160 according to one embodiment of the present invention enables the chemical to be selectively blocked or allowed to pass through the nozzle line 154. For this purpose, the valve body 160 is formed in the shape of a cylindrical cavity, and a liquid chemical discharge hole 162, through which the liquid chemical passes, is formed at predetermined intervals in the front, and at a location away from the liquid chemical discharge hole 162 by a predetermined distance, a piston 164 is formed to protrude from the front end, and a check valve 166 is installed therein.

[0048] The piston 164 described above has a conical shape, is removably attachable to a front end of the valve body 160, and is molded from a rubber-like material to match an inlet of the nozzle pipe 154 to provide a good airtight seal.

[0049] A pipe connector 160a, to which a liquid chemical supply pipe 122 can be connected, is formed at the rear of the valve body 160. Furthermore, a nesting protrusion 168 is formed, with a protruding structure at predetermined angular intervals on an outer circumferential surface of the valve body 160.

[0050] In the liquid chemical sprayer according to one embodiment of the present invention, the valve housing 170 which enables the valve body 160 mounted by fitting the front end into the valve hole 156 to be stably mounted and installed in the main body 110, is integrally coupled to the front of an engine housing 180 as shown in [Fig.3].

[0051] The valve housing 170 has a cylindrical structure having a predetermined length as shown in FIGS. 4 to 7 and a flange 142 surrounding a predetermined portion at the front of the engine housing 180 is formed at the rear thereof. A fitting hole 172a, corresponding to the latch 182a, formed so as to protrude from the engine housing 180, is formed in the flange 172.

[0052] The lock 182a described above is rotated by a predetermined angle in a state in which the nesting hole 172a is adjusted so that the valve housing 170 and the engine housing 180 are integrally coupled.

[0053] A valve seat 174, in which the valve body 160 can be stably installed, is formed in the valve housing 170 and slits 176 are formed on the valve seat 174 at predetermined angular intervals. The slit 176 is formed at a location and with a size corresponding to the nesting projection 168 of the valve body 160 so that the nesting projection 168 formed on an outer circumferential surface of the valve body 160 can be fitted.

[0054] An annular assembly projection 178, formed to correspond to the annular-shaped assembly groove 118, is formed on an inner side of the neck 112 around a central portion of the valve housing 170.

[0055] Furthermore, a flange seat 182, corresponding to the flange 172 of the valve housing 170, is formed so that the valve housing 170 can be faced and assembled to the front of the engine housing 180, in which the air blowing module 130 is mounted and installed inside. As shown in the figures, a lock 182a, corresponding to the nesting hole 172a, is formed so as to protrude on the flange seat 182.

[0056] When the valve housing 170 and the engine housing 180 are facing and coupled to each other in a state in which the valve body 170 is assembled to the valve housing 170 at the front of the engine housing 180, a stopper 184 is formed so that a rear end of the valve body 160 can be in close contact therewith stably. The stopper 184 has a structure to which the ribs arranged at angular intervals are connected.

[0057] Fixing devices 186, for fixing and installation, are formed on an inner portion of the main body 110, on both side surfaces of the motor housing 180.

[0058] The electric motor 132 and the air blower fan 134 are secured and mounted to the rear of an internal portion of the motor housing 180. A pipe pocket 188, for the stable arrangement of the liquid chemical supply pipe 122 is formed on one side of an inner portion of the motor housing 180.

[0059] In a state in which the above-described valve body 160 is first assembled to the valve housing 170, as shown in [Fig. 6], the valve housing 170 and the engine housing 180 are coupled to each other as shown in [Fig. 7].

[0060] Furthermore, in a state in which the nozzle cap 140 and the nozzle head 150 are coupled to each other, the valve housing 170 is assembled from a rear side of the nozzle head 150, as shown in [Fig. 8]. As described above, in a state in which the nozzle cap 140, the nozzle head 150, the valve housing 170, the valve body 160, and the motor housing 180 are sequentially coupled to form a single assembly, this single assembly is assembled to the neck 112 of the body 110, as shown in [Fig. 2].

[0061] In the following, a state in which the liquid chemical sprayer according to an embodiment of the present invention operates will be briefly described with reference to the attached FIGS. 9 and 10.

[0062] In a state in which a switch 190 of the liquid chemical sprayer according to an embodiment of the present invention is turned on, [Fig. 9] is a view showing a state in which, when a user rotates the nozzle cap 140 to a maximum forward, a front end of the nozzle pipe 154 of the nozzle head 150 and the minimum diameter portion 144, formed on an inner portion of the nozzle cap 140, are closest to each other.

[0063] When the switch 190 of the liquid chemical sprayer is turned on, the air blown by the air blowing fan 134 quickly and strongly passes through the motor housing 180, the valve housing 170, the nozzle head 150 and the nozzle cap 140 by means of the air blowing module 130. More particularly, an inner cross-sectional area of the nozzle cap 140 is quickly reduced, an air pressure difference between the inside and the outside of the nozzle pipeline 154 is generated and this pressure difference is transferred to the liquid chemical tank 120 via the liquid chemical supply pipe 122, so that the liquid chemical is pumped. As described above, when the pumped liquid chemical is transferred to the valve body 160 along the liquid chemical supply pipe 122 and while the liquid chemical passes through the check valve 166 of the valve body 160 and is discharged to the liquid chemical discharge hole 162, a primary spray is performed.

[0064] At this point, because the piston 164 is in an open state spaced from an inlet of the nozzle line 154 by a predetermined distance, the liquid chemical ini initially ejected via the liquid chemical discharge hole 162 of the valve body 160 passes through the nozzle pipe 154 of the nozzle head 150 and then a secondary spray is performed via the nozzle hole 154a formed at the front end.

[0065] As described above, the liquid chemical can be ejected firstly to the nozzle line 154 via the liquid chemical discharge hole 162 of the valve body 160 and the liquid chemical which has passed through the nozzle line 154 can be ejected secondly via the nozzle hole 154a and spraying can be performed using a strong air flow through the inside of the nozzle cap 140 in a particulate state.

[0066] In a state in which the switch 190 of the liquid chemical sprayer according to an embodiment of the present invention is turned off, [Fig. 10] is a view showing a state in which, when a user rotates the nozzle cap 140 to a maximum rearward, an inlet of the nozzle pipeline 154 of the nozzle head 150 is blocked by close contact with the piston 164 disposed at a front end of the valve body 160.

[0067] As described above, when the inlet of the nozzle pipe 154 is blocked, a flow of liquid chemical flowing along the liquid chemical supply pipe 122 is quickly blocked, so that even if a pressure difference remains inside the nozzle cap 140 and the nozzle head 150, blocking of the liquid chemical ejected into the nozzle hole 154a is quickly performed.

[0068] Furthermore, because the check valve 166 is installed inside the valve body 160, the phenomenon of the liquid chemical flowing back to the liquid chemical tank via the liquid chemical supply pipe 122 is avoided at the same time. Therefore, when a user operates the sprayer again, spraying can be performed more quickly.

[0069] In a liquid chemical sprayer according to one embodiment of the present invention, when a user wishes to block liquid chemical ejection by turning off a switch or rotating the nozzle cap 140 in a closing direction so that spraying is paused or terminated while the liquid chemical is being ejected, an inlet of the nozzle pipe 154 is stably blocked by the piston 164 of the valve body 160 and thus enables rapid stopping.

[0070] Furthermore, because the check valve 166 is installed inside the valve body 160, when a user rotates the nozzle cap 140 in a closing direction, the advantage is not only rapid blocking but also effective prevention of backflow of the liquid chemical.

[0071] The above has been described in detail with reference to a configuration and state of operation of the liquid chemical sprayer according to one embodiment of the present invention. These embodiments are included within the technical teachings described in the claims of the present invention. Furthermore, these embodiments are described solely by way of example and should not be construed as limiting the interpretation of the claims of the present invention.
