Description

Title of the invention: Ergonomic control device Technical field

[0001] The present invention relates to the control of remote manipulators, in particular wall remote manipulators, in particular by a control handle. A remote manipulator is driven in movement by means of electric motors controlled from a control device comprising a control box placed on a control handle. Prior art

[0002] The electrical signal that controls the motor(s) passes through an electrical cable between the control box of the handle of the telemanipulator and a power box of the motor actuators. This electrical cable is located in the user's operating field, which can cause problems when handling the telemanipulator and jamming, with a risk of deterioration due to the fact that the electrical cable must remain free in space to be able to follow the actions requested by the user. There is a risk that the cable will be blocked, damaged or torn off.

[0003] In order to ensure safety and to avoid deterioration of the protective sheath of the electric cable, it is known to protect it with a plastic sheath, for example a spiral sheath.

[0004] To date, the user must pay particular attention to this cable, taking care not to inadvertently wrap it around the handle. Thus, the user must adapt to the handle to the detriment of his dexterity. Indeed, the manipulation of the handle can be blocked by the tension of the cable.

[0005] In addition, during specific maneuvers, the user may not have sufficient vision of the control box. Certain markers present on this box may in particular not be visible. Often, the user may have to put himself in unsuitable positions, such as with his head upside down or crouching, in order to be able to see the control box.

[0006] Finally, no rapid interchangeability of control boxes is possible between several wall manipulators, for example if one of them were to break down. Indeed, the wired control boxes remain permanently on the handles. They are not separable. Also, uncontrolled use of the equipment can take place.

[0007] There is therefore a need to remedy all or part of these drawbacks. Summary of the invention

[0008] The invention thus relates, according to one of its aspects, to a control device ergonomic, in particular for a wall remote manipulator, comprising:

[0009] - a control handle,

[0010] - a control box comprising one or more control members for control one or more motors, in particular the wall manipulator,

[0011] the control box being mounted on the control handle, being movable relative to the latter with at least two degrees of freedom, or even three degrees of freedom.

[0012] Thanks to the invention, the control box is movable relative to the control handle, being able to be oriented as desired by the user, which makes it possible to improve its visibility by the user and to facilitate the latter's handling. Statement of the invention

[0013] The control box may not have a wired connection.

[0014] The control box may in particular be devoid of a wired connection with the or the motors to be controlled. The control box can be in communication with the motor(s) to be controlled by a wireless connection. This advantageously avoids the presence of a wire around the control box, which could hinder its movement relative to the control handle. The movement of the control box is thus facilitated. There is no electrical wire or cable in the user's operating field, which improves user safety and facilitates handling. Indeed, this avoids any risk of the user coming into contact with a live, bare electrical cable.

[0015] The absence of an electrical cable also makes it possible to avoid any risk of the cable being unintentionally wound around the control handle, and / or of the cable being pulled out. This also eliminates any risk of electrical failure resulting from the presence of an electrical cable, such as for example pinching of the cable, unexpected disconnection or other.

[0016] Advantageously, the control box can also be separated from the control handle, and be used with another control handle. This interchangeability makes it possible to gain in responsiveness in the event of a control box breaking down.

[0017] The device can be configured so that the control box is movable between two positions symmetrical to each other relative to the control handle.

[0018] Thus, the device is ambidextrous for the user. It is also convenient to use, whether the user manipulates it with the right hand or the left hand, and whether he is right-handed or left-handed. This can improve the precision of the control, and also allow a saving in purchase cost.

[0019] The user can manipulate the box so as to always have it in view and in the right direction, whatever its position, depending on its manipulations. The ergonomics of the control device piloting are improved. The comfort Ease of use is also improved, as is user safety and security. The risk of human error due to misreading is minimized.

[0020] The control box can be oriented relative to the control handle in all directions.

[0021] The control box may be mounted on a rotating ring rotatably mounted on the control handle.

[0022] The rotating ring may extend over less than 360°, for example less than 320°, better still less than 240°, or even less than 200°, for example over approximately 180°. We can speak of a rotating half-ring.

[0023] Thus, the rotating ring can rotate around the control handle, in particular over more than 120°, or even more than 180°, better still more than 240°, or even more than 300°, better still more than 320°, in particular over approximately 360°. The control box can thus be rotated all around the control handle.

[0024] The user can thus position the control box as he wishes, so that it is always visible to him.

[0025] The device may comprise a fixed ring fixedly mounted on the control handle. The rotating ring may be mounted on the fixed ring of the control handle. The rotating ring may be easily clipped and unclipped from the fixed ring.

[0026] The fixed ring may be drilled and the rotating ring may be mounted with a return shaft in the bore of the fixed ring. The device may include a spring to enable the return. The return spring may enable the rotating ring to be easily locked and unlocked. Thus, the control box may rotate around its entire shaft which connects it to the rotating ring.

[0027] Alternatively or additionally, the control box can be mounted with a ball joint on the control handle, or by means of a magnetic connection.

[0028] The control box may be detachable from the control handle. The control box is in particular removably mounted on the control handle. This allows the user to remove the control box from the device at the end of use, in particular at the end of a shift, and thus to secure the remote manipulator(s) by rendering them unusable. There is no risk of the remote manipulator being manipulated accidentally or in an uncontrolled manner.

[0029] Furthermore, this can allow easy and rapid interchangeability of the control boxes, for example in the case where a control box fails, in particular in the case where there are several wall manipulators with several control boxes. A control box can be used to control any motors.

[0030] The control box may comprise a plurality of control members, in particular two control members per motor to be controlled, in particular six control members.

[0031] The control box may be configured to control one or more motors, for example one, two or three motors. Each motor may be configured to control the movement of the wall manipulator according to a degree of freedom. In particular, there may be one motor per axis of movement of the wall manipulator.

[0032] The control handle may include a lever, allowing the clamp of the slave arm to be closed.

[0033] The device may include an indicator, in particular a light indicator, of the selected control member. This indicator makes it easier for the user to read the control box. In particular, it makes it possible to know the axis of movement of the selected wall manipulator. It may require the integration of one or more batteries in the control box.

[0034] At least one control member, or even all of the control members, may be touch-sensitive. This provides a modern and ergonomic control box and makes it easier for the user to read the control box. In particular, it allows the axis of movement of the selected wall manipulator to be known. It may require the integration of one or more batteries in the control box.

[0035] Alternatively, they may not be tactile.

[0036] At least one control member, or even all of the control members, may be tactile with voice or sound feedback. Such a configuration may allow users to know the axis of movement of the selected wall manipulator. It may require the integration of one or more batteries in the control box.

[0037] In one embodiment, the control box may be without batteries for its power supply.

[0038] In one embodiment, the control box can be equipped with a magnetic connection over its entire surface, allowing it to be fixed to a remote metal support.

[0039] The invention also relates, independently or in combination with the above, to a wall remote manipulator comprising a control device as described above.

[0040] The wall manipulator may comprise a relay box configured to receive control signals from the control box. The relay box may be connected by wire to the motor(s) of the manipulator.

[0041] The wall telemanipulator can be used for any application sector, such as for example nuclear, pharmaceutical, chemical, or even space, this list not being exhaustive. Brief description of the drawings

[0042] The invention may be better understood by reading the detailed description which follows, non-limiting examples of its implementation, and by examining the attached drawing, in which:

[0043] [Fig-1] [Fig.l] is a perspective view of a control device according to the invention.

[0044] [Fig.2] [Fig.2] illustrates the control device of [Fig.l] in different positions.

[0045] [Fig.3] [Fig.3] is an exploded detail view of the control device of the [Fig.l].

[0046] [Fig.4] [Fig.4] illustrates the operation of the X-axis control of a telema wall manipulator according to the invention. Detailed description

[0047] [Fig.l] illustrates an ergonomic control device 1 for a wall telemanipulator. The ergonomic control device 1 comprises a control handle 5 and a control box 10 comprising several control members 12 for controlling one or more motors of the wall telemanipulator.

[0048] The control handle comprises a lever 6, which makes it possible to mechanically control the closing of the clamp on the slave arm side.

[0049] The control box is configured in the example described to control three motors. Each motor is configured to control the movement of the wall manipulator according to a degree of freedom. In particular, there is one motor per axis of movement of the wall manipulator. The axes are here indicated by X, Y and Z.

[0050] The control box thus comprises six control members 12, with two control members per motor to be controlled, the control members thus being designated X+, X-, Y+, Y-, Z+ and Z-.

[0051] The control box 10 is mounted on the control handle 5, being movable relative to the latter with several degrees of freedom, as described below. Thus, the control box is movable relative to the control handle, being able to be oriented as desired by the user, as visible in [Fig.2], which makes it possible to improve its visibility by the user and to facilitate the latter's manipulations.

[0052] Furthermore, the wall remote manipulator comprises a relay box configured to receive the control signals from the control box. The relay box can be connected by wire to the motors of the remote manipulator.

[0053] The control box 10 is devoid of a wired connection, in particular with the motors to be controlled. The control box is here in communication with the motor(s) to be controlled by a wireless link. This advantageously avoids the presence of a wire around the control box, which could hinder its movement relative to the control handle.

[0054] The control box is also without batteries for its power supply.

[0055] The device is configured so that the control box is movable between two positions symmetrical to each other with respect to the control handle. It can be seen that the device is ambidextrous for the user. The user can manipulate the box so as to always have it in view and in the right direction, whatever its position, depending on its manipulations.

[0056] The control box 10 can be oriented relative to the control handle in all directions. For this purpose, the control box 10 is mounted on a rotating ring 15 rotatably mounted on the control handle 5. The rotating ring 15 extends in this example over approximately 180°. It can be referred to as a rotating half-ring. Thus, the rotating half-ring 15 can rotate around the control handle over approximately 360°. The control box can thus be rotated all around the control handle.

[0057] Furthermore, the device comprises a fixed ring 7 fixedly mounted on the control handle 5. The rotating ring 15 is mounted on the fixed ring 7 of the control handle 5. The rotating ring 15 can be easily clipped and unclipped from the fixed ring 7.

[0058] The fixed ring 7 is drilled and the rotating ring 15 is mounted with a return pin 16 in the bore 8 of the fixed ring, as seen in [Fig.3]. The device includes a spring to enable the return. The return spring can enable the rotating ring 15 to be easily locked and unlocked.

[0059] Furthermore, the control box 10 is detachable from the control handle 5. The control box 10 is in fact removably mounted on the control handle 5.

[0060] We will now describe the control of the X axis of a GETINGE LA CALHENE MT 200 model wall manipulator, with reference to [Fig.4]. The operating principle is as follows.

[0061] Pressing the “S'X +” button on the control handle 5 sends a signal to the wireless control relay 18 “B +” which, when its internal dry contact closes, enables the power supply of the relay 19 “X+”.

[0062] The contact of relay 19 “X+” allows motor M to be powered. It rotates in one direction.

[0063] Conversely, when the contact “S'X -” is activated, the motor M rotates in the other sense.
