Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: System for assembling a stator winding
[0001] The present invention relates to the field of rotating electrical machines such as alternators or alternator-starters, and more particularly the stators of such rotating electrical machines which comprise a winding made from conductive pins.
[0002] A rotating electrical machine comprises a shaft secured to a rotor and a stator arranged so as to rotate the rotor by means of a magnetic field. For this purpose, the rotor is for example provided with permanent magnets and the stator with an electric winding. The electric winding is supplied with electric current by means of a control module, so as to generate a rotating magnetic field at the electric winding. This rotating magnetic field makes it possible to drive the rotation of the rotor.
[0003] The stator winding can be achieved in different ways, and in particular with conductive pins which are inserted into the stator and are connected to each other to form a continuous electrical path. Such conductive pins can for example have a U shape with each a curved portion, the juxtaposition of which over the entire periphery of the stator forms a winding bun at an axial end of this stator, and two straight conductive segments connected by the curved portion and which are inserted respectively into one of the radial notches of the stator. The insertion must be done according to a particular pattern, which ensures an optimized electrical path but complicates the production of the winding all the more.Due to the difficulty of inserting the quantity of pins one by one directly into the stator slots, assembly machines are sought which have an original configuration allowing easy insertion of the pins relative to each other and which comprise mechanical means capable of giving the assembly a final configuration in which straight conductive segments of different pins are brought together to be able to be inserted in one piece into the same slot. For example, in document US20180233995, annular portions are used which are filled independently of each other with pins and which are then re-centered to form an annular assembly of pins capable of being inserted in one go into a stator body.
[0004] The present invention falls within this context by proposing a tool for assembling the conductive pins of a stator, so as to form a crown of pins which can be inserted in a single operation within the receiving housings of the stator.
[0005] The main object of the present invention is thus a system for assembling a crown of pins configured for producing a stator winding, the crown of pins comprising pins formed of a first branch and a second branch which are substantially parallel and connected to each other by an arcuate portion, the assembly system comprising a plurality of assembly modules configured to be arranged one above the other in a longitudinal direction and among which a first clamping module extending along the longitudinal direction between a first face and a second face, said first clamping module comprising an external annular portion whose internal face comprises first means for receiving the first branches of the pins and a movable internal annular portion whose external face comprises means for receiving the second branches of the pins, said internal annular portion being movable between a first extreme position in which it extends at least partially beyond the first face and in which it forms an internal annular portion of a second clamping module attached against the first face of the first clamping module and a second extreme release position in which it extends at least partially beyond the second face, the second clamping module comprising second means for receiving the first branches of the pins arranged in a longitudinal continuity of the first means for receiving the first branches, a section dimension of each of the second receiving means being different from a corresponding section dimension of each of the first receiving means.
[0006] The assembly system according to the invention makes it possible to obtain a ring of conductive pins that can be inserted into the stator in a single operation, thus facilitating the manufacture of the stator while reducing the time required for this manufacture. The pins are connectors that are electrically connected to each other. These pins have a U-shape, with two parallel branches forming the legs of the U and an arcuate portion connecting them at one of their ends.
[0007] The assembly system comprises several assembly modules, which are assembled together and stacked in a longitudinal direction, in different configurations depending on the step of the method to be implemented. The pins are movable between these different modules within which they are successively assembled and tightened in order to obtain the crown of pins. Among these assembly modules, the assembly system comprises a first clamping module which is delimited longitudinally by a first face and a second face, with a first face which constitutes a fixing zone for, depending on the moments of the assembly method, a second clamping module, which is a removable element of the assembly system, or a module for positioning the pins in an original configuration for example.
[0008] The first clamping module and the second clamping module share a internal annular portion, which is movable between the two. This internal annular portion has means for receiving the second branches of the pins, while each of the clamping modules also has means for receiving the first branches of these pins, with respectively first receiving means for the first clamping module and second receiving means for the second clamping module. The first and second receiving means are aligned with each other in the longitudinal direction when the second clamping module is attached against the first clamping module, so as to allow the pins to be transferred from one to the other of these clamping modules. These first and second receiving means also have different section dimensions, which allows adjustment of the pin assembly when they are transferred from one to the other of the clamping modules.Such section dimensions are measured along a vertical-transverse plane perpendicular to the longitudinal direction.
[0009] According to an optional characteristic of the invention, the first face of the first clamping module is arranged either opposite the second clamping module or opposite a pin pushing device.
[0010] It is understood here that the second clamping module and the pin pushing device are two removable elements of the assembly system, which can successively and alternately be attached against the first face of the first clamping module. The pushing device consists for example of a movable ring and pistons.
[0011] According to an optional characteristic of the invention, the second means for receiving the first branches of the pins of the second clamping module have a section dimension smaller than a section dimension of the first means for receiving the first branches of the pins of the first clamping module.
[0012] This reduction in section between the second receiving means and the first receiving means makes it possible to tighten the first branches of the pins when they are transferred from the first clamping module to the second clamping module.
[0013] According to an optional characteristic of the invention, the cross-sectional dimension of the first means for receiving the first branches of the pins of the first clamping module is constant from the second face of the first clamping module to the first face, the cross-sectional dimension of the second means for receiving the first branches of the pins of the second clamping module being different between a contact face of the second clamping module and the opposite face of this second clamping module.
[0014] In other words, the cross-sectional dimension of the first means for receiving the first branches of the pins of the first clamping module is the same over the entire height of this first clamping module, this height corresponding to its dimension in the longitudinal direction. Conversely, within the second clamping module, the second means for receiving the first branches of the pins do not have a constant cross-sectional dimension over the entire longitudinal dimension; this dimension decreases along the longitudinal direction and from the contact face of the second clamping module, intended to be in contact with the first face of the first clamping module. Such a difference in the cross-sectional dimension allows a transfer of the pins from the first clamping module to the second clamping module without a hitch, while ensuring optimal tightening of the first branches of the pins at the end of the transfer.
[0015] According to an optional characteristic of the invention, the pushing device is associated with a removable pin receiving module capable of being arranged opposite the first face of the first clamping module, as an alternative to the presence of the second clamping module, this receiving module comprising an external portion, an internal face of which has external notches intended to receive the first branches of the pins and an internal portion, an external face of which has internal notches intended to receive the second branches of the pins, the external portion and the internal portion delimiting between them a cylindrical portion, the pin pushing device being movable longitudinally at least within said cylindrical portion.
[0016] The thrust device and the receiving module cooperate in that the thrust device translates, in the longitudinal direction, within a cylindrical portion delimited concentrically by an external portion and an internal portion of the receiving module. This receiving module has means for receiving the branches of the pins, which are respectively external notches for the first branches and internal notches for the second branches.
[0017] According to an optional characteristic of the invention, each notch comprises two housings each intended to receive the branch of a pin, these two housings being separated by a partitioning element extending longitudinally throughout the notch.
[0018] Both the external notches and the internal notches receive the pins so that the branches of the latter are arranged two by two in notches, within which each branch is received in a housing. The two housings of the same notch are separated longitudinally by a partitioning element, for example a rib, which constitutes an excess thickness within a notch and which results in a predetermined distance between the branches of the pins.
[0019] According to an optional characteristic of the invention, each means for receiving a pin formed in one or other of the clamping modules comprises respectively two housings each intended to receive the branch of a pin, these receiving means being devoid of a partitioning element between the two housings.
[0020] Unlike the notches of the receiving module, the receiving means of the clamping modules have housings without partitioning elements between them. The branches of the pins are thus tightened during the passage from the receiving module to the first clamping module, these branches being closer together within a receiving means than within a notch, since there is no longer any excess thickness separating them between two housings of the same receiving means.
[0021] According to an optional characteristic of the invention, the receiving means intended to receive the second branches of the pins of the movable internal annular portion have a section dimension smaller than a corresponding section dimension of the internal notches.
[0022] Like the reduction in the cross-sectional dimension between the first receiving means and the second receiving means, this smaller cross-sectional dimension makes it possible to tighten the second branches of the pins when the latter are transferred from the receiving module to the first clamping module, and more particularly when they translate, under the effect of the thrust device, from the internal notches of the internal portion to the receiving means of the movable internal annular portion.
[0023] According to an optional characteristic of the invention, each means for receiving the movable internal annular portion comprises two housings each intended to receive the second branch of a pin, these receiving means being devoid of a partitioning element between the two housings.
[0024] In the same way as for the first and second means for receiving the clamping modules, the fact that the means for receiving the internal annular portion do not have partitioning elements allows a tightening of the second branches of the pins within the same receiving means in comparison with the spacing of these second branches within an internal notch, the housings of which are themselves separated by a partitioning element.
[0025] According to an optional characteristic of the invention, the assembly system comprises a cap having a clearance zone capable of receiving the movable internal annular portion in its second clearance position, this cap being superimposed longitudinally on the first clamping module opposite its second face.
[0026] The cap is arranged at a longitudinal end of the assembly system, against the second face of the first clamping module. It has a clearance zone capable of receiving the internal annular portion, so that the latter can retract into the cap when it is in its second release position.
[0027] According to an optional characteristic of the invention, the assembly system comprises a rotary locking element arranged opposite the first face of one and / or the other of the clamping modules, the rotary locking element being configured to take a first position in which it is across the receiving means so that a translation of the pins in one direction along the longitudinal direction is blocked and a second position in which this translation is free.
[0028] The rotary locking element is rotatable in the sense that it rotates along an axis parallel to the longitudinal direction. The assembly system may comprise a first rotary locking element associated with the first face of the first clamping module, as well as a second rotary locking element associated with a first face of the second clamping module, this first face of the second clamping module being arranged at a distance from the first face of the first clamping module while a second face of the second clamping module is opposite the first face of the first clamping module. The rotary locking element is capable of blocking, in its first position, the translation of the pins in a direction along the longitudinal direction which goes from the second face to the first face of each of the clamping modules.
[0029] According to an optional characteristic of the invention, the assembly system comprises a pre-assembly pallet of which a central platform is rotating, this central platform being configured to be fixed on the second clamping module, on a face opposite that intended to be opposite the first clamping module, and to receive the pins.
[0030] The pre-assembly pallet is arranged, along the longitudinal direction, opposite the first clamping module relative to the second clamping module. The central platform receives the pins and is then actuated, for example, using cranks to, by turning, tighten the crown of pins in order to give it a desired diameter adapted to the stator which it is intended to equip.
[0031] According to an optional characteristic of the invention, the receiving module is equipped with a guide comprising an orifice configured to be crossed by a pin, the orifice comprising a first cutout arranged opposite an external notch and a second cutout arranged opposite an internal notch.
[0032] The guide facilitates the insertion of the pins into the receiving module. This guide is fixed while the receiving module is movable in a rotary movement. The pins are inserted into the guide through its orifice, their first branches being inserted through the first cutout and their second branches being inserted through through the second cut.
[0033] According to an optional characteristic of the invention, the guide comprises a first wall facing the receiving module and a second wall opposite the first wall, the cutouts being partially delimited by a chamfered edge at the level of the second wall. The presence of chamfered edges facilitates the insertion of the branches through the cutouts.
[0034] The invention further relates to a method for assembling a crown of pins using an assembly system as mentioned above, comprising at least one step of fixing the pushing device on the first face of the first clamping module, a first step of translation along a first direction of the longitudinal direction during which the pins are moved by the pushing device in the first clamping module, a step of removing the pushing device, a step of fixing the second clamping module during which the second clamping module is fixed on the first clamping module in place of the pushing device, and a second step of translation along the longitudinal direction in a second direction opposite to the first direction, during which the pins are moved from the first clamping module into the second clamping module by the movement of the movable internal annular portion.
[0035] The method of assembling the crown of pins is carried out by successive translations of the pins within the different assembly modules of the assembly system, so as to tighten the pins as well as their branches. During the fixing step, the pushing device and the receiving module are associated with the first face of the first clamping module. The pushing device, by pushing on the pins contained in the receiving module along the first direction, transfers them from this receiving module to the first clamping module. Due to the presence of partitioning elements within the receiving means of the receiving module and their absence within the receiving means of the first clamping module, the first branches of the pins are tightened. The assembly method continues with a step of removing the pushing device and the receiving module and replacing them with the second clamping module against the first face of the first clamping module. Then a second translation step occurs in a direction opposite to the first translation direction, which allows the pins to be transferred from the first clamping module to the second clamping module. The reduction in section between the receiving means of the first clamping module and those of the second clamping module allows the second branches of the pins to be tightened.
[0036] According to an optional characteristic of the invention, the assembly method comprises, prior to the step of fixing the pushing device, a step of loading the crown pins into the receiving module.
[0037] Such a loading step is facilitated by the use of the guide, which allows accelerated placement of the pins within the assembly system.
[0038] According to an optional characteristic of the invention, following the first translation step the rotary locking element moves from its second position to its first position.
[0039] In its first position, the rotating locking element blocks the pins to prevent them from falling out of the first clamping module when removing the pushing device and the receiving module.
[0040] According to an optional characteristic of the invention, prior to the second translation step the rotary locking element passes from its first position to its second position.
[0041] In its second position, the rotary locking element allows the pins to be translated so that they can be transferred from the first clamping module to the second clamping module.
[0042] According to an optional characteristic of the invention, the assembly method comprises a step of loading the crown of pins present in the second clamping module within the pre-assembly pallet, by appropriately pushing the pins along the longitudinal direction, and a step of adjusting a diameter of this crown.
[0043] The loading step involves thrusting means which exert a thrust in a direction opposite to the thrust device. At the end of the adjustment step, the crown of pins has a diameter suitable for it to be inserted in a single operation within a stator. When such a stator has series of four concentrically arranged notches, the crown of pins is produced so that the first branches of the pins are inserted into the third notches or into the fourth notches, while their second branches are inserted either into the first notches or into the second notches.

[0055] The features, variants and different embodiments of the invention may be combined with each other, in various combinations, provided that they are not incompatible or mutually exclusive. In particular, variants of the invention may be imagined comprising only a selection of features described below in isolation from the other features described, if this selection of features is sufficient to confer a technical advantage and / or to differentiate the invention from the prior art.
[0056] In the figures, the elements common to several figures retain the same reference.
[0057] [Fig.l] thus illustrates, schematically, an assembly system 1 of a crown of pins 2 configured for producing a stator winding. This assembly system 1 makes it possible to obtain a crown of pins 2 which can be inserted in a single operation within the stator, the crown having been adapted for such insertion by the assembly system 1.
[0058] The assembly system 1 extends mainly in a longitudinal direction, a central axis of the assembly system 1 being parallel to this longitudinal direction. The assembly system 1 consists of a plurality of assembly modules which are stacked on top of each other in this longitudinal direction. These assembly modules are assembled together to form the assembly system 1, some of the modules being furthermore removable.
[0059] In [Fig.l], the assembly system 1 comprises a base 4, a substantially flat portion of which constitutes a base of the assembly system 1. On this substantially flat portion is superimposed a hollow cylinder which contains a thrust device 8, this thrust device 8 being illustrated in particular in Figures 2 and 3. The thrust device 8 here comprises a movable ring which can be actuated in longitudinal displacement by pistons. In [Fig.l], the base 4 is associated with a receiving module 10 for the pins 2, said receiving module 10, removable, being able to be superimposed on the base 4.
[0060] On this receiving module 10, another assembly module is superimposed, namely a first clamping module 12, which is covered with a cap 14 constituting one end of the assembly system 1 opposite the base 4. The cap 14 is crossed by a press 16 which extends around the central axis of the assembly system. This press 16 is associated with jacks 18 which surround the press and which have a free end extending within a clamping module, said free end of the jacks 18 being linked to a thrust ring 19. Here, three jacks 18 extend mainly longitudinally and are arranged within the assembly system 1 so as to be equidistant from each other.
[0061] Each of the assembly modules is a substantially cylindrical part whose median axis of the assembly system 1 constitutes an axis of revolution. These assembly modules will now be described in more detail.
[0062] The receiving module 10 is particularly visible in [Fig. 2]. This is a loading module by means of which the pins 2 are received and then loaded within the assembly system 1. As mentioned, the pins 2 here have a substantially U-shaped shape, with a first branch 20 and a second branch 22 each forming a conductive segment capable of being housed in a notch of the stator, said branches being joined by an arcuate portion 24. This arcuate portion 24 comprises a twist or a twist, so that the pin 2 is not flat.
[0063] The stator in which these pins 2 participate in forming the winding has an annular shape with a plurality of radial notches, each opening onto the interior of the stator. Each notch is configured to have several areas for receiving pin branches, each receiving area of a notch being intended to receive a branch of a pin 2, the receiving areas being arranged concentrically and aligned with each other within a notch, between an internal face of the stator delimiting a housing capable of receiving a rotor and an external face opposite the internal face.
[0064] Here, each notch comprises four receiving zones but it will be understood that the number of receiving zones and the radial dimension of the notches could differ from what is presented here without departing from the context of the invention. In the example illustrated, each notch successively comprises a first receiving zone closest to the housing receiving the stator, a second receiving zone, a third receiving zone and a fourth receiving zone closest to the external face.In order to generate an appropriate direction of flow of the current within the winding formed by the pins linked together two by two, pins forming part of a first set can be configured so that their first branches 20 are received in a third receiving zone of a notch and their second branches 22 are received in a first receiving zone of another notch, while pins forming part of a second set are configured so that their first branches 20 are inserted into the fourth receiving zones of a notch and their second branches 22 are inserted into the second receiving zones of another notch.
[0065] The receiving module 10 comprises an internal portion 26 and an external portion 28 which are both circular, the internal portion 26 extending as close as possible to the median axis of the assembly system 1 while the external portion 28 is at a distance from the latter and is arranged concentrically around the internal portion 26. The internal portion 26 and the external portion 28 delimit between them a cylindrical portion 30, which corresponds to a hollowed-out portion of the receiving module 10. This cylindrical portion 30 receives the crown of pins, and more particularly the arcuate portion 24 of these pins, their branches 20, 22 being engaged in receiving means arranged within the internal 26 and external 28 portions.
[0066] Such receiving means are provided in faces of the internal 26 and external 28 portions facing the cylindrical portion 30. More particularly, the internal portion 26 has an external face which delimits this cylindrical portion 30. This external face carries internal notches 32 which are configured to receive the second branches 22 of the pins 2. Similarly, the external portion 28 has an internal face facing the cylindrical portion 30, this internal face having external notches 34 configured to receive the first branches 20 of the pins 2.
[0067] Each of the internal 32 and external 34 notches comprises two housings extending along the longitudinal direction, which are here first housings 36A, 36B visible in Figures 2 and 6. These two first housings 36A, 36B each receive first branches 20 or second branches 22 of the pins. More particularly, the first two housings 36A, 36B of the same internal notch 32 respectively receive the second branch 22 of a pin 2 of the first set and the second branch 22 of a pin 2 of the second set, while the first two housings 36A, 36B of the same external notch 34 respectively receive the first branch 20 of a pin 2 of the first set and the first branch 20 of a pin 2 of the second set.
[0068] Within an internal notch 32 or an external notch 34, the first two housings 36A, 36B are separated by a partitioning element 38. This partitioning element 38 is for example a rib or a lip which extends from one longitudinal end to the other of the internal notch 32 or of the external notch 34, and forms an excess thickness within a notch 32, 34 which has the effect of separating from each other the branches 20, 22 of the pins 2 present in this notch. The first housings 36A, 36B of the external notches 34 and their partitioning elements 38 are particularly visible in [Fig.6].
[0069] In order to facilitate the loading of the pins 2 within the receiving module 10, the latter is equipped with a guide 40, illustrated in [Fig.2], which is removable and is associated with the receiving module 10 during the insertion of the pins 2 therein. This guide 40 is a tool for positioning the pins 2, which is fixed while the receiving module 10 is movable in rotation around the median axis of the assembly system 1. Such a rotation makes it possible to successively position each means for receiving the pins 2 under the guide 40 in order to insert a pin 2 therein, the guide 40 then sliding along a receiving face 42 of the receiving module 10 which is opposite a facing face of the base 4.
[0070] The guide 40 comprises a central orifice 44, which is an orifice passing through the guide 40 from a first wall 46 facing the receiving face 42 of the receiving module 10 to a second wall 48 opposite the latter. The orifice 44 is dimensioned so that it can be passed through by the pins 2 for the purpose of their insertion within the receiving module 10. The orifice 44 more precisely has a first cutout 50 arranged facing an external notch 34 and configured to receive the first branches 20 of the pins 2, as well as a second cutout 52 arranged facing an internal notch 32 and configured to receive the second branches 22 of these pins 2. In order to facilitate the insertion of the branches 20, 22 within the cutouts 50, 52, these are partially delimited by a chamfered edge. Such a chamfered edge extends from the second wall 48 and towards the first wall 46 of the guide 40 and has a funnel shape.
[0071] As mentioned previously, the receiving module 10 is removable, that is to say that it can be alternately associated with the other assembly modules of the assembly system 1 or dissociated from them. Once the pins 2 are inserted within of the receiving module 10, the latter can be associated with other elements of the assembly system 1, as illustrated in particular in figures 1 and 3; it is then for this purpose arranged against the first clamping module 12, the latter being more precisely stacked on the receiving module 10. The receiving face 42 of the receiving module 10 is thus in contact with a first face 54 of the first clamping module 12, this first face 54 being opposite a second face 56 which delimits with it the first clamping module 12 in the longitudinal direction.
[0072] The first clamping module 12 is visible in figures 4 and 7 to 9. It comprises an internal annular portion 58 whose axis of revolution corresponds to the median axis of the assembly system, as well as an external annular portion 60 arranged around the internal annular portion 58 and at a distance from it, thus delimiting between them a cylindrical zone 62. The internal annular portion 58 is movable along the median axis, so that it can move in the longitudinal direction in a first direction S1 or a second direction S2. The first direction SI corresponds to a translation in the direction of the base 4 of the assembly system 1, while the second direction S2 corresponds to a translation in the direction of its cap 14. When it has translated in the first direction SI, the internal annular portion 58 is in a first extreme position in which it extends at least partially beyond the first face 54 of the first clamping module 12.Conversely, after having translated in the second direction S2, the internal annular portion 58 takes a second extreme position in which it extends at least partially beyond the second face 56 of the first clamping module 12; it is then received in a clearance zone 64 formed in the cap 14, the latter being in contact with the second face 56. Between these two extreme positions, the internal annular portion 58 is able to take intermediate positions in which it is opposite the external annular portion 60; it then extends longitudinally between the first face 54 and the second face 56 of the first clamping module 12.
[0073] The pins 2 are transferred from the receiving module 10 to the first clamping module 12 according to a method which will be described later. In order to receive these pins 2, each of the internal annular portion 58 and the external annular portion 60 has means for receiving the pins 2. More precisely, the internal annular portion 58 comprises internal receiving means 66 for the pins 2, here internal notches 66, on an external face which faces the cylindrical zone 62. The external annular portion 60 comprises means for receiving the pins 2 which are here first external receiving means 68 for the pins 2, i.e. first external notches 68. These first external notches 68 are arranged on an internal face of the external annular portion 60 which is opposite the cylindrical zone 62. The internal notches 66 are intended to receive the second branches 22 of the pins, the first external notches 68 being intended to receive their first branches 20.
[0074] The internal notches 66 of the internal annular portion 58 each have a section dimension which is generally smaller than a section dimension of the internal notches 32 of the receiving module 10, such dimensions being measured along a vertical-transverse plane perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. As illustrated in [Fig. 4], each internal notch 66 comprises two housings which extend longitudinally and are here two second housings 70A, 70B. Each of these second housings 70A, 70B receives respectively the second branch 22 of a pin 2 of a first assembly and the second branch 22 of a pin 2 of a second. Unlike the first housings 36A, 36B of the internal 32 and external 34 notches, the two second housings 70A, 70B of an internal notch 66 are not separated from each other by a partitioning element. The second branch 22 of the pin 2 according to the first assembly and the second branch 22 of the pin 2 according to the second assembly are therefore in contact with each other along the entire length of the internal notch 66 in which they are arranged. The absence of a partitioning element and the reduction of the passage section between the internal notches and the internal notches imply that the passage from an internal notch to the internal notch makes it possible to tighten against each other branches intended to be side by side in a radial notch of the stator.
[0075] The cross-sectional dimension of each internal notch 66 is said to be generally smaller than the cross-sectional dimension of the internal notch 32 opposite which it is located insofar as the majority of this internal notch is of smaller dimensions compared to the internal notch. However, and as visible in [Fig. 4] for example on which the external annular portion 60 has been removed to make the cylindrical zone 62 visible, the cross-sectional dimension of an internal notch is not constant from one longitudinal end as is that of an internal notch. The cross-sectional dimension of each internal notch varies with a wider portion close to the face of the internal annular portion 58 which is intended to be opposite the receiving module. The change in cross-sectional dimension is made via a chamfer 72 which progressively reduces the cross-sectional dimension on said portion. In other words, the chamfer 72 is provided at a longitudinal end of the internal notch 66 which is in the vicinity of the first face 54 of the first clamping module 12 and it forms an inclined plane facilitating the insertion of the second branches 22 of the pins 2 when these are transferred from the receiving module 10 to the first clamping module 12.
[0076] In a manner similar to what has just been described for the first internal notches 66, the first external notches 68 are distinguished from the external notches 34, opposite which they are found when the first clamping module 12 is fixed on the receiving module 10, in that they do not have partitioning elements. However, unlike the first internal notches 66, the first external notches 68 have a constant section dimension over the entire longitudinal dimension, this section dimension being equal to that of the external notches. In this way, when the pins pass from the external notches 14 of the receiving module 10 to the first external notches 68 of the first clamping module 12, the first branches 20 of the pins 2 are not constrained and are just pushed from one receiving means to the other in a longitudinal continuity. The absence of a partitioning element in each first external notch 68 ensures a clearance between the two first branches present in the same external notch, which is advantageous when the second branches are force-fitted into the first internal notches 66, as detailed later in the assembly description.
[0077] As mentioned above, the receiving module 10 is removable. It can thus be removed from the assembly system 1 and replaced, against the first face 54 of the first clamping module 12, by a second clamping module 74 which is also a removable part. This second clamping module 74 is shown in FIGS. 7 to 9. It is intended to receive the pins 2 after they have passed through the first clamping module 12.
[0078] In order to retain the pins 2 within the first clamping module 12 when the receiving module 10 is detached from it and replaced by the second clamping module 74, this first clamping module 12 comprises a rotary locking element which corresponds to a first rotary locking element 76. Such a first rotary locking element 76 is particularly visible in [Fig. 5], which illustrates two different positions of the first rotary locking element and on which the internal annular portion 58 is not illustrated to make the second branches 22 of the pins 2 visible. The first rotary locking element 76 is a toothed ring arranged opposite the first face 54 of the first clamping module 12.The first rotary locking element 76 projects from the external annular portion 60 so as to extend at least partially within the cylindrical zone 62, around a periphery of the internal face of the external annular portion 60. More particularly, the internal edge of this toothed ring has a plurality of teeth capable of covering the free end of the first external notches when the angular position of the toothed ring is appropriate.
[0079] When the receiving module 10 is removed, this first rotary locking element 76 is driven in rotation around the median axis of the assembly system 1, so as to take a first position in which the translation of the pins 2 in the first direction SI is blocked. In other configurations, and in particular when the pins must slide to enter or exit the first module clamping 12, the first rotary locking element is driven in rotation so that it takes a second position in which this translation is free. The transition from the second position to the first position is illustrated in [Fig.5]. In this first position, teeth of the first rotary locking element 76 are arranged across the first external notches 68. The first branches 20 of the pins 2 then rest on this first rotary locking element 76, which constitutes a stop and prevents the translation of the pins in the first direction SL
[0080] The second clamping module 74 has a shape similar to the first clamping module 12. It thus comprises an external annular zone 78 which is arranged, when the second clamping module 74 is received against the first face 54 of the first clamping module 12, opposite the external annular portion 60 of this first clamping module 12. The external annular zone 78 participates in delimiting, with the internal annular portion 58 when the latter is in its first extreme position, a cylindrical part 80 which is the counterpart of the cylindrical zone 62 of the first clamping module 12.
[0081] The second clamping module 74 is delimited longitudinally by a contact face 82 which is opposite the first face 54 of the first clamping module 12, and an opposite face 84 which is at a distance from the latter.
[0082] The movement of the internal annular portion 58 from the first clamping module 12 to the second clamping module 74 causes the pins 2 to move simultaneously, the first branches 20 of the latter being engaged in the internal notches 66 of the internal annular portion 58.
[0083] The second clamping module 74 has, on an internal face of its external annular zone 78 which is opposite the cylindrical part 80, means for receiving the pins 2. Such means for receiving the pins 2 are here second external receiving means 86 of the pins 2 and more particularly second external notches 86 intended to receive their first branches 20. These second external notches 86 extend longitudinally from the contact face 82 to the opposite face 84. When the second clamping module 74 is attached against the first clamping module 12, the second external notches 86 of the second clamping module 74 are aligned with the first external notches 68 of the first clamping module 12, so that they are arranged in a longitudinal continuity thereof. When the pins 2 are arranged within the second clamping module 74, they are received at the level of their first branches 20 by the second external notches 86, their second branches 22 always being engaged within the internal notches 66 of the internal annular portion 58 which accompanies the translational movement of the pins by taking its first extreme position.
[0084] In the same way as for the internal notches 66 of the internal annular portion 58 and as illustrated in [Fig.8], both the first external notches 68 of the first clamping module 12 and the second external notches 86 of the second clamping module 74 each comprise two housings, with respectively two third housings 88A, 88B and two fourth housings 90A, 90B which extend longitudinally over an entire length of the first external notches 68 or of the second external notches 86.The two third housings 88A, 88B of the same first external notch 68 respectively receive the first branch 20 of a pin 2 of the first set and the first branch 20 of a pin 2 of the second set, and similarly the two fourth housings 90A, 90B of the same second external notch 86 respectively receive the first branch 20 of a pin 2 of the first set and the first branch 20 of a pin 2 of the second set. These third and fourth housings 88A, 88B, 90A, 90B, particularly visible in [Fig.8], are devoid of partitioning elements.
[0085] As can be seen in this [Fig. 8], the first external notches 68 and the second external notches 86 have different section dimensions, these section dimensions being measured along the vertical-transverse plane perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. More particularly, the second external notches 86 have section dimensions smaller than the section dimensions of the first external notches 68.
[0086] Furthermore, the first external notches 68 have a section dimension which is constant from the second face 56 of the first clamping module 12 to its first face 54. Conversely, the second external notches 86 have a section dimension which is different depending on whether one is in the vicinity of the contact face 82 or in the vicinity of the opposite face 84 of the second clamping module 74: more particularly, such a section dimension in the vicinity of the contact face 82 is substantially equal to the section dimension of the first external notches 68, and it is greater than the section dimension measured in the vicinity of the opposite face 84.In other words, a section dimension of the second external notches 86 is greater in the vicinity of the contact face 82 than in the vicinity of the opposite face 84 and the reduction of this section dimension allows the tightening against each other of the two first branches 20 intended to be housed in an external notch. This reduction in section dimension is carried out, in accordance with what could have been mentioned for the internal annular portion, by a chamfer forming an insertion ramp, here in the second direction S2 of translation.
[0087] Here again, the different section dimensions are measured along a vertical-transverse plane perpendicular to the longitudinal direction.
[0088] Like the first clamping module 12, the second clamping module 74 is equipped with a rotary locking element, which is a second rotary locking element 92. This second rotary locking element 92, particularly visible in [Fig. 8], is arranged opposite the opposite face 84 of the second clamping module, and it extends at least partly within the cylindrical part 80. The second rotary locking element 92 is in [Fig. 8] in its first position in which the translation of the pins 2 in the first direction SI is blocked, teeth of this second rotary locking element 92 being arranged across the second external notches 86 so as to retain them. Conversely, the second rotary locking element 92 is in its second position in [Fig. 9], a translation of the pins 2 in the first direction SI then being authorized. Such a translation allows the transfer of the pins 2 from the second clamping module 74 to a pre-assembly pallet 94, which is also illustrated in [Fig. 10]..
[0089] This pre-assembly pallet 94 has a substantially circular shape. It constitutes a removable element of the assembly system 1 and can as such be arranged opposite the opposite face 84 of the second clamping module 74 to recover the pins 2 at the exit of this second clamping module 74. The pre-assembly pallet 94 comprises more precisely a rotating central platform 96 which receives the crown of pins 2 prior to its association with the stator for which it is intended to wind. More particularly, the rotating central platform is configured to tighten, by a helical movement, the coils and form an annular assembly of smaller diameter capable of penetrating into the notches of the stator.
[0090] A method of assembling a crown of pins 2 using the assembly system 1 as mentioned previously will now be described, the assembly system 1 allowing the assembly of the pins 2 and the tightening of their branches 20, 22 so as to form a crown which can be inserted into the stator in a single operation.
[0091] The assembly process begins with a step of loading the pins 2 into the receiving module 10 to give them a crown shape, as illustrated in [Fig.2]. The receiving module 10 is for this purpose arranged on the base 4 equipped with the pushing device 8.
[0092] The pins 2 are arranged within the receiving module 10 by means of the guide 40, their first branches 20 being inserted into the external notches 34 through the first cutout 50 of the orifice 44 of the guide 40 and their second branches 22 being inserted into the internal notches 32 through the second cutout 52 of this orifice 44. To achieve the loading of the pins 2 in each of the notches 32, 34, the receiving module 10 performs a rotation around the median axis of the assembly system 1 while the guide 40 remains fixed. The pins 2 are loaded into the receiving module 10 in two stages, the pins 2 of the first set being all arranged in the receiving module 10 before the pins 2 of the second set are in turn loaded therein. As a result, the receiving module 10 performs two complete rotations to obtain loading of all the pins 2. At the end of these rotations, each of the first two housings 36A, 36B of the internal notches 32 and the external notches 34 respectively receives either the second branch 22 of a pin 2 of the first set and the second branch 22 of a pin 2 of the second set, or the first branch 20 of a pin 2 according to the first set and the first branch 20 of a pin 2 according to the second set, the branches 20, 22 arranged in the same internal notch 32 or external notch 34 being separated by one of the partitioning elements 38.
[0093] Once the pins 2 have been loaded into the receiving module 10, the assembly method continues with a step of fixing the subassembly formed by the base 4, the pushing device 8, and the receiving module 10 with the subassembly formed by the first clamping module 12 and the cap 14. More particularly, the receiving module 10 is pressed against the first face 54 of the first clamping module 12.
[0094] A first translation step is then carried out, visible in [Fig. 3], during which the thrust device 8 and more particularly its movable ring 6 slides longitudinally within the cylindrical portion 30, between the internal portion 26 and the external portion 28, under the action of the pistons. Such sliding takes place in the second direction S2 and has the purpose of transferring the pins 2 from the receiving module 10 to the first clamping module 12. The thrust device 8 for this purpose bears against the second branches 22 of the pins 2, via the movable ring 6. The thrust device 8 is not bears against the first branches 20 of the pins 2 in order to accommodate the presence of the first rotary locking element 76 and not to hinder its passage from the first position to the second position and vice versa. The movable ring 6 of the thrust device therefore has a radial dimension smaller than a radial dimension of the cylindrical portion 30.
[0095] During this first translation step, the internal annular portion 58 is in its second extreme position, that is to say that it is at least partially retracted within the clearance zone 64 of the cap 14. Thus, at the start of the pushing of the pins by the pushing device 8 of the receiving module 10, only the first branches 20 of the pins 2 engage in the receiving means of the first clamping module 12, here in the first external notches 68. On the contrary, the second branches 22 are initially free within the cylindrical zone 62 of the first clamping module 12 which is devoid of its internal annular portion 58.
[0096] Here we mean by "engage in means for receiving the first clamping module” that the first branches 20 of the pins 2 slide from the external notches 34 of the receiving module 10 to the first external notches 68 of the first clamping module 12 so that they are housed in the first external notches 68. The thrust of the pins 2 within the first clamping module 12, which is carried out from its first face 54 towards its second face 56, allows positioning of the first branches 20 within the first external notches without constraining them since the section dimension remains the same between the external notches 34 of the receiving module 10 and the first external notches 68 of the first clamping module 12.The external notches 34 being equipped with partitioning elements 38 while the first external notches 68 are devoid of them, the first branches 20 extend within the first external notches with a clearance which allows flexibility of the pin when a stress is generated on the second branches in a following step of the method. In other words, the passage of the pins 2 from the receiving module 10 to the first clamping module 12 begins with a positioning of the first branches 20 of the pins 2 in the first external notches, without particular constraints, together which was arranged in the same external notch 34.
[0097] The second branches 22 of the pins 2 are tightened, at least partially, when the thrust device 8 reaches the end of its travel, that is to say when it completes its translation in the second direction S2. At the end of this first translation step, the second branches 22 come into contact with the internal annular portion 58 which is partially retracted into the cap 14. The second branches 22 penetrate into the internal notches 66 of this internal annular portion 58, at their junction with the arcuate portion 24 of the pins. The end of the first translation step, notably visible in [Fig. 3], involves a partial penetration of the second branches into the internal notches 66, notably facilitated by the presence of the chamfers 72.Due to the absence of a partitioning element within the internal notches 66, and due to the smaller section dimension of the internal notches 66 in comparison with the section dimension of the internal notches 32, the second branches 22 intended to be present in the same internal notch are tightened against each other.
[0098] At the end of the stroke of the pushing device in the second direction S2, the first branches 20 are therefore completely inserted into the external notches 68 of the external annular portion 62 of the first clamping module 12 and the second branches 22 are partially inserted into the internal notches 66 of the internal annular portion 58 axially offset relative to the external annular portion. The first rotary locking element 76 is controlled in rotation so that the latter blocks the possible release of the first branches from the external notches.
[0099] The second branches 22 are subsequently tightened over their entire length due to a translation of the internal annular portion 58 in the first direction SI, such a translation being accompanied by the effect of the press 16 which slides in a direction opposite the pushing device 8. The internal annular portion 58 translates along the second branches 22 to take its intermediate position, opposite the external annular portion 60. The first rotary locking element 76 being in its first position, in which the pins 2 are retained at the level of their first branches 20, the thrust made via the press 16 in the first direction SI makes it possible to slide the internal annular portion 58 while the pins remain fixed and penetrate by force into the internal notches 66.In other words, the effect of the press 16 makes it possible to translate the internal annular portion by fitting the internal notches 66 onto the second branches 22, and therefore by constraining the pins at least at the level of these second branches 22. It is notable, as was previously mentioned, that at this moment, the first branches are housed in the first external notches 68 without being constrained due to the play created by the absence of a partitioning element, so that the forces applied to the second branches 22 in this step can be damped by the play present at the level of the first branches.
[0100] This insertion of the pins 2 in two stages within the first clamping module 12, namely first their first branches 20 within the external annular portion 60 then their second branches 22 in the internal annular portion 58, makes it possible to limit the stresses on these branches 20, 22 and thus to avoid involuntary twisting or their breakage.
[0101] The assembly method then continues with a step of removing the subassembly formed by the base 4, the pushing device 8 and the receiving module 10 to replace it with the second clamping module 74, the latter being fixed against the first face 54 of the first clamping module 12.
[0102] At the end of this fixing step, the first locking element 76 moves from its first position to its second position, so as to allow the transfer of the pins 2 from the first clamping module 12 to the second clamping module 74 which occurs during a second translation step. During this second translation step, visible in particular in [Fig. 7], the internal annular portion 58 takes its first position, during which it extends beyond the first face 54 of the first clamping module 12 and forms the internal annular portion 58 of the second clamping module 74. The jacks 18 also participate in the translation of the pins 2, also sliding in the first direction SI, so as to successively pass through the cap 14 and the cylindrical zone 62 of the first clamping module 12. The thrust ring 19 arranged at the end of the jacks 18 then exerts a thrust on the pins 2 in the vicinity of the arcuate portion 24 of these pins 2.
[0103] The pins 2 no longer being held by the first locking element 76, they translate in the first direction SI with the internal annular portion 58. The first branches 20 of the pins then slide from the first external notches 68 of the first clamping module 12 to the second external notches 86 of the second clamping module 74, from the contact face 82 thereof and in the direction of the opposite face 84. A tightening of these first branches 20 occurs due to the smaller section dimension of the second external notches 86 compared to the section dimension of the first external notches 68.Due to the presence of a ramp allowing a difference in the cross-sectional dimension of the second external notches 86 between the contact face 82 and the opposite face 84, the passage of the pins 2 from the first clamping module 12 to the second clamping module 74 is facilitated, the first branches 20 being guided within these second external notches 86.
[0104] Once the pins 2 are inserted into the second clamping module 74 so that their first branches 20 and their second branches 22 are held over their entire length by their respective receiving means, these pins 2 are retained in position by means of the second rotary locking element 92. This second rotary locking element 92 is then in its first position, in which the translation of the pins 2 in the first direction SI is blocked. The abutment of the pins 2 against the second rotary locking element 92 and their subsequent retention allows the pre-assembly pallet 94 to be placed under the second clamping module 74, that is to say opposite its opposite face 84.
[0105] When the pre-assembly pallet 94 is positioned opposite the second clamping module 74 as can be seen in [Fig.9], the second rotary locking element 92 rotates so as to move from its first position to its second position where the translation of the pins 2 is no longer prevented.
[0106] Once the second rotary locking element 92 is in its second position, the pins 2 are pushed out of the second clamping module 74 in the first direction SL. Such a push is carried out by means of the thrust ring 19 associated with the jacks 18 which continue their travel in this first direction SI within this time the cylindrical part 80 of the second clamping module 74. The thrust ring 10 associated with the jacks 18 push the pins 2 in the vicinity of their arcuate portions 24, at a distance from the second clamping module 74 in the first direction SI, until they are received by the pre-assembly pallet 94.
[0107] The pins 2 are more precisely received by the central platform 96 of the pre-assembly pallet 94 during what constitutes a step of loading the crown of pins 2, their free ends opposite the arcuate portion 24 fitting into notches 98 provided for this purpose in the central platform 96. These notches 98 extend from the middle of the central platform 96 and towards a periphery of the pre-assembly pallet 94.
[0108] The pre-assembly pallet 94 is shown with the pin ring 2 in [Fig. 10]. The central platform 96 of this pre-assembly pallet 94 is actuated using cranks 100 arranged on the periphery of the pre-assembly pallet 94. When these cranks 100 are set in motion during an adjustment step, the central platform 96 is driven in rotation. By rotating, it tightens the pin ring 2 in order to give it a desired diameter, which is adapted to the stator of which it constitutes the winding.
[0109] The present invention thus proposes a system for assembling the pins of a stator, within which the pins are associated with each other according to a crown which is inserted in a single operation into this stator.
[0110] The present invention cannot, however, be limited to the means and configurations described and illustrated here and it also extends to any equivalent means and configuration as well as to any technically operative combination of such means.
